Acts 1

1 The former treatise have I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to do and teach,

2 Until the day in which he was taken up, after that he through the Holy Ghost had given commandments unto the apostles whom he had chosen:

3 To whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God:

4 And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me.

5 For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.

6 When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel?

7 And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.

8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

9 And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight.

10 And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel;

11 Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.

12 Then returned they unto Jerusalem from the mount called Olivet, which is from Jerusalem a sabbath day’s journey.

13 And when they were come in, they went up into an upper room, where abode both Peter, and James, and John, and Andrew, Philip, and Thomas, Bartholomew, and Matthew, James the son of Alphaeus, and Simon Zelotes, and Judas the brother of James.

14 These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren.

15 And in those days Peter stood up in the midst of the disciples, and said, (the number of names together were about an hundred and twenty,)

16 Men and brethren, this scripture must needs have been fulfilled, which the Holy Ghost by the mouth of David spake before concerning Judas, which was guide to them that took Jesus.

17 For he was numbered with us, and had obtained part of this ministry.

18 Now this man purchased a field with the reward of iniquity; and falling headlong, he burst asunder in the midst, and all his bowels gushed out.

19 And it was known unto all the dwellers at Jerusalem; insomuch as that field is called in their proper tongue, Aceldama, that is to say, The field of blood.

20 For it is written in the book of Psalms, Let his habitation be desolate, and let no man dwell therein: and his bishoprick let another take.

21 Wherefore of these men which have companied with us all the time that the Lord Jesus went in and out among us,

22 Beginning from the baptism of John, unto that same day that he was taken up from us, must one be ordained to be a witness with us of his resurrection.

23 And they appointed two, Joseph called Barsabas, who was surnamed Justus, and Matthias.

24 And they prayed, and said, Thou, Lord, which knowest the hearts of all men, shew whether of these two thou hast chosen,

25 That he may take part of this ministry and apostleship, from which Judas by transgression fell, that he might go to his own place.

26 And they gave forth their lots; and the lot fell upon Matthias; and he was numbered with the eleven apostles.

  1. NLT 3 During the forty days after his crucifixion, he appeared to the apostles from time to time, and he proved to them in many ways that he was actually alive. And he talked to them about the Kingdom of God.

Jesus the only prophet, deity, God who has resurrected from the dead. No other religion can claim this. Even though there were eye witnesses who saw Jesus after his resurrection, people still reject it. If there was no resurrection, then we are all lost and following a false God. But we know Jesus is alive, as a Christian, we feel his grace, love, mercy and forgiveness Jesus has for us.

1 Corinthians 15:6 After that, he was seen by more than 500 of his followers at one time, most of whom are still alive, though some have died. 13 For if there is no resurrection of the dead, then Christ has not been raised either. 14 And if Christ has not been raised, then all our preaching is useless, and your faith is useless. 15 And we apostles would all be lying about God—for we have said that God raised Christ from the grave. But that can’t be true if there is no resurrection of the dead. 17And if Christ has not been raised, then your faith is useless and you are still guilty of your sins. 18 In that case, all who have died believing in Christ are lost!

  2. 8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

We are reminded once again that we are to be witnesses to a world that needs God. We are told that we can never become a witness without the help of God. It takes the Holy Ghost inside of us to be the kind of witness God wants us to be.
God lead us with the Holy Ghost to be witnesses unto the world.

  3. 5. For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.

    8. But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

I’m so very thankful that He allowed me to be baptized with the Holy Ghost! There are so many seeking the power while either not knowing or not accepting the source.

  4. 4 And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me.

Waiting is sometimes the hardest to do, but rest assured that if we wait on The Lord he will bring to pass all of the promises he has declared. Don’t be impatient or get ahead of The Lord.

For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the LORD, they shall inherit the earth. -Psalms 37:9

  5. Verse 24 AMP “And they prayed and said, You, Lord, Who know all hearts ([e]their thoughts, passions, desires, appetites, purposes, and endeavors), indicate to us which one of these two You have chosen…” The Lord knows all hearts….he knows what your true desire is; so, don’t give up! We have to understand that even though he knows what we truly want to do, it is still in His timing; not ours! Do not be like Judas and throw away your God given promise in order to go your own way. If you wait upon the Lord (be obedient and stay focused on Him), you just might get MORE (not only will your needs be met; but, some of your wants too).

  6. I like how this version puts these scriptures

Acts 1:6-8 (Wuest – The New Testament: An Expanded Translation)
6 Then indeed having assembled together, they went to asking Him, saying, Lord, at this time are you restoring to its former state the kingdom to Israel? 7 He said to them, It is not yours to know the chronological events in the passing of time nor the strategic, epochal periods of time which the Father placed within the sphere of His own private authority. 8 But you shall receive power of the kind which God has and exerts after the Holy Spirit has come upon you. And you shall be those who testify of what they have seen and experienced, my witnesses, both in Jerusalem and in all Judaea and in Samaria and to the end of the earth.

The disciples had been so focused on the earthly kingdom that they failed to recognize the spiritual. Jesus is moments before rising into the air and they ask will you now fulfill the prophecy? Will you deliver us from roman bondage? Will we experience the physical kingdom now?

Jesus answers that he determines what order things will happen in, and how the major dispensation am events will take place.

But, let me tell you what is about to happen next.

You will receive power after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you.

Acts 1:8 (Wuest – The New Testament: An Expanded Translation)
8 But you shall receive power of the kind which God has and exerts after the Holy Spirit has come upon you.

Acts 1:8 (Amplified Bible – AMP)
8 But you shall receive power (ability, efficiency, and might) when the Holy Spirit has come upon you

There is not a time in the day when we do not need God to give us ability, efficiency, power, and might. The Holy Ghost is a gift that he gives that never dies out. It is a never ending supply. All we have to do is stay connected with the flow!

    MORE Holy Ghost!!!

  7. LEADERSHIP 101

The WORD of GOD is rich with principal and revelation. Through the apostle Peter we see Leadership. The challenging question of JESUS, inquiring if Peter loved him, we now witness the purpose of that pressing. GOD called Leaders MUST first pass HIS test of commitment and obedience, the LORD reveals Leadership through Peter:

    1. Peter was a praying man – 14 These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication
    2. Peter exhibits courage – 15 Peter stood up in the midst of the disciples,
    3. Peter knew the Scriptures – 16 this scripture must needs have been fulfilled
    4. Peter recognized ministry – 17 For he was numbered with us, and had obtained part of this ministry.
    5. Peter understood and explained the work of GOD – 18 Now this man purchased a field with the reward of iniquity;

To be effective spiritual leaders we must

    1. Pray
    2. Exhibit FAITH
    3. Know the WORD of GOD
    4. Recognize the WORKs of GOD and man
    5. Preach the GOSPEL/Teach the TRUTH

We are able to accomplish MORE for the Kingdom of GOD by following these powerful Leadership principals exhibited by Peter after the death of JESUS and the suicide of Judas. In the midst of great pain and grief, Peter moved into his role as Leader among the disciples.

    iRepent
    iPraise
    iPray
    iWork
    iGive
    iReap
    iLead

  8. 8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

I’m glad there so many of us are a witnesses for god all over earth.

  9. 3 To whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion…..

Our passion should be following Jesus and doing His will for us in this world. We should be passionate about whatever he has given us to do in his kingdom.

  10. 16 Men and brethren, this scripture must needs have been fulfilled, which the Holy Ghost by the mouth of David spake before concerning Judas, which was guide to them that took Jesus.

The scripture must needs have been fulfilled. The disciples lived in a great time with jesus walking the earth and seeing miracles. They were also aware that they were witness to the scriptures taught them from a young age being fulfilled. Even though they hadn’t yet received the Holy Ghost they knew of its power and influence. They saw scriptures being fulfilled and had faith for the promises that had yet to be fulfilled. All scripture is God breathed. We can have faith that the scriptures will be fulfilled for our lives and for the world because they must need to be fulfilled.

  11. 7 And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.

I guess I could be labeled a control freak. I don’t think I take it to freak level but I do prefer order and everything in its place. It is a struggle to let go of my future. Not to the extent of blindly wandering into old age but rather not knowing what God has in store for me. I need the “big-picture”. It keeps me level and functional. Not knowing what tomorrow holds drives me crazy; sometimes. There is a sense of adventure in it; I don’t like adventure. I sleep better at night knowing today is complete and/or what tasks needs to move to tomorrow.

Until I know God’s plan, resting in the certainty that God will not forsake me is a comfortable place to be. I still cannot see past His arms though…

  12. 8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

Go! It’s time to reach more and more souls! Be a witness.

  13. vs 8
Communication Christ effectively requires as much spiritual power as performing miracles. How encouraging to realize the spirit is with us and that it is he who works when we share the Lord with others.

  14. 8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
After we received the holy ghost we are able to be witnesses for God the way he wants us to be witnesses. Thank you Jesus for the Holy Ghost Power!!

  15. 17 For he was numbered with us, and had obtained part of this ministry.

Judas, one of the chosen disciples, yet disobedience entered into his heart and he became the disciple that would betray the Lord. As stated here he had obtained part of the ministry that was imparted from the Lord to his team. Still he made the choice and decision to sell out, which cost him his life.

NIV – 20 Peter continued, “This was written in the book of Psalms, where it says, ‘Let his home become desolate, with no one living in it.’ It also says, ‘Let someone else take his position.’ “So now we must choose a replacement for Judas from among the men who were with us the entire time we were traveling with the Lord Jesus—

If we allow carnality, doubt, disobedience, lack of submission, rebellion to enter the door of our heart over anything, we could find ourselves represented in verse 20 – someone else will step up and take our part in the ministry.

  16. Go for broke
17 For he was numbered with us, and had obtained part of this ministry.

You know the more God speaks to me in my private time the more I realize the importance of giving it all to Him. In this verse we see he was numbered with them yet only recieved part of the ministry.

He walked and talked with Jesus. Stood by Him as He preformed miracles yet Judas never experienced the power of God flowing through Him to fulfill the ministry. He died before the call was ever fulfilled. Holding on to personal gain and desires he forfeited his eternal calling for a moments pleasure.

Time is winding up and we cannot afford to waist the short time we have by holding on to what we want. We must go for broke and all the eternal call of ministry to become who we are.

  17. 11, “Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.”

St. Luke 21:27-28, “And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. And when these things begin to come to pass, look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.”
Hebrews 9:28, “So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.”

JESUS is coming back again for His people. We need to lift up our heads and look up for our redemption draweth nigh. He’s coming soon!

  18. 26 And they gave forth their lots; and the lot fell upon Matthias; and he was numbered with the eleven apostles.

Time and chance happen to us all. The question is what do we choose to do with our time, and the chances that we are given???

  19. There is power in the Holy Ghost!

8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

Through the Holy Ghost we have power to speak over our enemies! We were called to speak to the lost and bring them into the presence of Jesus! If you have the Holy Ghost you have they power to speak to people and they see God in you!

  20. 8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

We have such a great gift and power that God has given us. What are you doing with what He has given you? It’s our job to be his witnesses and reach this world all for His glory and kingdom!

  21. Acts 1:7 HE said to them it’s not for you to know the time or dates the Father has set by his own authority. But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you and you will be my witness in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria and to the ends of the earth.

  22. 5 For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.

The Holy Ghost is for anyone on any day or any time. Then and now. Don’t say you didn’t know.

  23. 5 For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.
I’m so thankful for the Holy Ghost and letting my light for others to see. A few days ago at work a gentleman came up to me and said you have the Holy Ghost don’t you and you were baptized in the name of Jesus, i looked at him and I said I am sure do! People are hungry and all we have to do is let God use us and guide us to the hurting.

  24. “being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God:”

Jesus knew that after giving mankind the gift of the his Spirit that they would need instructions. After resurrection Jesus stayed 40 days to do so. After giving Moses the 10 commandments he broke them down, for us and Israel to uderstand. Moses on two occasions spent 40 days on the mountain to get the commandments (Deut 10:10).
I’m thankful for a God who leaves us with an instruction manual, a treasure map, to see Him in the land of glory.

  25. “Brothers,” he said, “the Scriptures had to be fulfilled concerning Judas, who guided those who arrested Jesus. This was predicted long ago by the Holy Spirit, speaking through King David. (‭Acts of the Apostles‬ ‭1‬:‭16‬ NLT)

No matter how good or bad prophecy has and will be fulfiled. Even in the end times it will be hard and bad. But prophecy will be complete so Jesus will be glorified.

  26. “Men and brethren, this scripture must needs have been fulfilled, which the Holy Ghost by the mouth of David spake before concerning Judas, which was guide to them that took Jesus.” The word of God shall be so. One would be wise to heed the word of God, and the man of God regardless of one wants to, as one will be better off in doing so. What a mighty God we serve! Thank God for his word. God bless America, Jerusalem, and you all in Jesus name, Amen!

  27. iLove to eat more Word

16 Men and brethren, this scripture must needs have been fulfilled, which the Holy Ghost by the mouth of David spake before concerning Judas, which was guide to them that took Jesus.

As I read the blog this morning, this thought hit me upside the head…It must have been absolutely amazing to read the scripture, like Peter did, and come to the realization that the words that were written down a thousand years before he was born, were words written about him and for the church he would lead.

This is what it is going to feel like when the temple in Jerusalem goes under construction. All the prophecies of the word will come alive and we will once again have the realization that the very scriptures we read are the very prophecies that are written.

  28. v8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you : and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth .

JESUS gave birth to the Church.
Those that waited for HIS promised were in one accord and GOD bathed them all with HIS SPIRIT.
WE HAVE new life when we are born again
” Unless a person is born again he cannot ever see the kingdom of GOD.
GOD’S Church is destined for victory . The greatest victories for the church still lie ahead .

How I love my Holy Ghost !!!!

  29. 8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

    Jerusalem-“set ye double peace”
    Judaea-“he shall be praised”
    Samaria-“guardianship”

Hallelujah! When we receive the Holy Ghost we will receive peace, protection, and we will be exalting his name!!! I want MORE of your Holy Ghost Jesus! 🙂 I want to be protected by your blood, exalt your name, and find rest in you. Even when you feel mad, sad, or angry and you just push yourself and start praying and get filled with the Holy Ghost you will sure find rest in him because nobody else an give us that peace and joy that Jesus can 🙂 like Pastor said pray 7 times the blood, the Word, and the Name of Jesus Christ and we will be VICTORIOUS!!!! 🙂 I WANT MORE!!!!!

  30. How did Judas die?

    Matthew 27:5
And he threw the pieces of silver into the temple sanctuary and departed; and he went away and hanged himself.

    Acts 1:18
(Now this man acquired a field with the price of his wickedness, and falling headlong, he burst open in the middle and all his intestines gushed out.

Some point these two passages out as a biblical contradiction, but it is supplemental.

The most likely explanation is Judas’ hung himself and over the process of time his body started to decompose as he hung on the rope. Eventually, the body would give way and he fell to the ground and burst open.

  31. 22 Beginning from the baptism of John, unto that same day that he was taken up from us, must one be ordained to be a witness with us of his resurrection.

    A Holy Ghost filled believer…
When we are filled w the Holy Ghost we are already ordained to have the high calling of spreading the gospel in Jesus Name.
We are all apostolic believers we can do what the apostles were called to do…heal the blind raise up the lame feed the poor everything that Jesus wants us to do for the Kingdom.
ipray that everywhere I go that people will see Jesus through me which is truth.

    Bless you, Lord.

  32. 24 And they prayed, and said, Thou, Lord, which knowest the hearts of all men, shew whether of these two thou hast chosen,

One of the greatest privileges we have is the right to choose. We make choices every single day. Some not as important as others, yet there are some that can define the rest of one’s life. A wise principle we can pick up is to take it before The Lord in prayer for he will guide us. Many mistakes can be avoided by not acting on impulse on certain decisions. Seek The Lord first and let Him bring confirmation that our choices line up with His will for our lives. Our choices will determine if we are chosen to serve Him at different capacities and or levels. They will determine if He can trust us. The best thing to do is to pray and ask Him to direct our path. Like we find in proverbs; lean not to your own understanding in all ways acknowledge God and He shall direct your paths.

  33. 14 These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren.

In all things we must bring with us, prayer and supplication, for this is how we hear God’s voice as he tells what to do and where to go in our lives.

Phillipians 4:6 Be careful for nothing, but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

  34. Amen
acts 2 : 38 then peter said unto them repent and be baptized in the name of jesuschrist and ye shall receive the gift of the holy Ghost

  35. 26 And they gave forth their lots; and the lot fell upon Matthias; and he was numbered with the eleven apostles.

Gods plan is not contingent upon our willingness to be obedient to his plan. Gods plan is going to happen whether I’m a part of it or not. It is a privilege and honor that he chose me not an obligation. God is gracious enough that he allows me to work in his Kingdom but if I go insane and turn away his plan is going to continue. This is what the Calvanist fail to regard. The church is going to meet Christ in heaven but it is up to me whether I’m in it or not. As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.
    Amen

  36. 8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

This chapter tells exactly how to get THAT power. The power to heal the sick, raise the dead, open blinded eyes and deaf ears. You can’t just come by this power accidentally, it’s going to take someone who is willing, ready and able. Someone who’s not afraid to turn their life around, so that God can elevate them.

  37. The unity of prayer.

They all met together and were constantly united in prayer, along with Mary the mother of Jesus, several other women, and the brothers of Jesus. (‭Acts of the Apostles‬ ‭1‬:‭14‬ NLT)

Prayer gives you direction as you seek the will of GOD.

PRAYER reveals the heart of man.

Prayer humbles you, as His will is done and not your own.

Prayer unites the heart of man to the heart of GOD.

    PRAYER brings revival.

  38. MORE Ministry

Before Judas was chosen, Jesus knew Matthias would eventually stand up to take his place. However, scripture gives no indication that Matthias had received any revelation in advance that this would happen. For all he knew, he would never be in the position of being “one of the twelve,” he would simply be another faithful, devoted follower. But in his faithfulness, he gave the Lord opportunity to use him; the Lord knew his heart and his faithfulness kept him positioned for the Lord’s purpose. He maybe had no inkling such a turn of events would transpire when he woke up that day, but suddenly there was a change. Our turning point may come abruptly with new opportunities to give and serve. We must be prepared for when the Lord asks for MORE.

    2 Timothy 4:1-5
    1 I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;

2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine.

    3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;

4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

5 But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.

  39. “For it is Written”, In JESUS name, Amen………………………………………………….

8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

    “MORE POWER…..MORE HOLY GHOST….MORE WITNESS….MORE LOVE…

    >>> + JESUS………………………………………………………………………………..

  40. During this time, when about 120 believers were together in one place, Peter stood up and addressed them. (‭Acts of the Apostles‬ ‭1‬:‭15‬ NLT)

I am thankful for those who are in my life that are like Peter. Peter was so full of wisdom that only came from the Lord. And he wasn’t afraid to share it or lead others.

  41. But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” (‭Acts of the Apostles‬ ‭1‬:‭8‬ NLT)

It’s not Gods will for us to be complacent with just reaching Fort Worth, we are a church body that must grow and reach every inch of this world. Impacting lives is more than just a Sunday thing, it’s a lifestyle

  42. 24 And they prayed, and said, Thou, Lord, which knowest the hearts of all men, shew whether of these two thou hast chosen,

25 That he may take part of this ministry and apostleship, from which Judas by transgression fell, that he might go to his own place.

26 And they gave forth their lots; and the lot fell upon Matthias; and he was numbered with the eleven apostles.

Even with adversity, the Church grows. Many anointed men of God have fallen away, but God has already ordained someone to step in to continue & further his kingdom. We hear it said that God’s will continues with or without us, so we must make up our minds to stay in the faith. Keep our eyes focused on the prize: Phil 3: 14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

  43. 8) But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be a witness unto me both in Jerusalem, and in Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth….

Its time to reach the souls of fort worth and bring them home.

  44. Replacements
That he may take part of this ministry and apostleship, from which Judas by transgression fell, that he might go to his own place. And they gave forth their lots; and the lot fell upon Matthias; and he was numbered with the eleven apostles. (‭Acts‬ ‭1‬:‭25-26‬ KJV)
There are always MORE people who can be called to a ministry when someone falls. We never want to replace someone we love, however there are times when people don’t want more of God, they seek after another place/title, or God even moves their location. What ever the reason, God has replacements. The bible tells us to pray for the workers of the harvest, but it doesn’t necisarrily mean that we pray for the workers to be replaced.

We should work ever harder at maintaining our relationship with God and our prayer life for others do that we won’t ever become replaced.

    More JESUS = more COMMITMENT

  45. Microwave faith
When we imagine and believe God could do something amazing today, which He could but when God says it’s not time for the one thing we want done to get done, we throw a fit? We stop the faith by slamming on the breaks and asking questions like, Why God? And What now? When truly He just wants us to not ask the “W” questions and trust him.
6 When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel?

7 And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.

  46. 8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

Why have we power when the Holy Ghost comes? Because the Holy Ghost reveals Jesus; and Jesus, being the word of God, in that word there is all power. In order to understand what it means to have all power there are two things necessary; one is to have ears to hear and the other is to have hearts to receive it.

  47. Baptized 4. And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Je- ru’-sa-lem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me. 5. For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Ho’-ly Ghost not many days hence. 6. When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Is’-ra-el ? 7. And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power. 8. But ye shall receive power, after that the Ho’-ly Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Je-ru’-sa-lem, and in all Ju-dae’-a, and in Sa-ma’-ri-a, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. 9. And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight. I am victorious through Christ Jesus !!!!! I Love You Jesus !!!! Thank You For Letting me take another breath on this earth !!!!
