Acts 3

1 Now Peter and John went up together into the temple at the hour of prayer, being the ninth hour.

2 And a certain man lame from his mother’s womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms of them that entered into the temple;

3 Who seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple asked an alms.

4 And Peter, fastening his eyes upon him with John, said, Look on us.

5 And he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive something of them.

6 Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.

7 And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength.

8 And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God.

9 And all the people saw him walking and praising God:

10 And they knew that it was he which sat for alms at the Beautiful gate of the temple: and they were filled with wonder and amazement at that which had happened unto him.

11 And as the lame man which was healed held Peter and John, all the people ran together unto them in the porch that is called Solomon’s, greatly wondering.

12 And when Peter saw it, he answered unto the people, Ye men of Israel, why marvel ye at this? or why look ye so earnestly on us, as though by our own power or holiness we had made this man to walk?

13 The God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, hath glorified his Son Jesus; whom ye delivered up, and denied him in the presence of Pilate, when he was determined to let him go.

14 But ye denied the Holy One and the Just, and desired a murderer to be granted unto you;

15 And killed the Prince of life, whom God hath raised from the dead; whereof we are witnesses.

16 And his name through faith in his name hath made this man strong, whom ye see and know: yea, the faith which is by him hath given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.

17 And now, brethren, I wot that through ignorance ye did it, as did also your rulers.

18 But those things, which God before had shewed by the mouth of all his prophets, that Christ should suffer, he hath so fulfilled.

19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.

20 And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you:

21 Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began.

22 For Moses truly said unto the fathers, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you.

23 And it shall come to pass, that every soul, which will not hear that prophet, shall be destroyed from among the people.

24 Yea, and all the prophets from Samuel and those that follow after, as many as have spoken, have likewise foretold of these days.

25 Ye are the children of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying unto Abraham, And in thy seed shall all the kindreds of the earth be blessed.

26 Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities.

  1. 12. And when Peter saw it, he answered unto the people, Ye men of Israel, why marvel ye at this? or why look ye so earnestly on us, as though by our own power or holiness we had made this man to walk?

Why do we marvel when God performs a miracle we have asked him to do? I need to increase my faith to where I am more expecting of a miracle than awed by it; after all, it’s so effortless for Him to do them, we only need the faith to believe He will.

    16. And his name through faith in his name hath made this man strong…

  2. 12 And when Peter saw it, he answered unto the people, Ye men of Israel, why marvel ye at this? or why look ye so earnestly on us, as though by our own power or holiness we had made this man to walk?

13 The God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, hath glorified his Son Jesus; whom ye delivered up, and denied him in the presence of Pilate, when he was determined to let him go.

Peter took this miracle of the healing of this lame man and started to preach unto these people about Jesus Christ. Miracles are great and we see that in the church today, but the filling of a soul with the Holy Ghost is the most important work of God. These Apostles used this miracle to tell these people that Jesus you had crucified was both Lord and Christ. This Jesus you denied was the messiah that we waited for to deliver us from our sins. We should always take the miracles of God to open the door to tell somebody about Jesus Christ.

  3. Let the name of Jesus be glorified!!!

And when Peter saw it, he answered unto the people, Ye men of Israel, why marvel ye at this? or why look ye so earnestly on us, as though by our own power or holiness we had made this man to walk? The God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, hath glorified his Son Jesus; whom ye delivered up, and denied him in the presence of Pilate, when he was determined to let him go.

And his name through faith in his name hath made this man strong, whom ye see and know: yea, the faith which is by him hath given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all. (‭Acts‬ ‭3‬:‭12-13, 16‬ KJV)

The Lord is willing to do great things in our church. And he is willing to use men and women of faith, whether it be great faith or faith as small of a mustard seed. But as long that the miracle The Lord has done , we glorify His name, and not glorify your own name.

  4. 6 Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.

    The begger….
I know that when someone ask for money we are supposed to tell them about Jesus instead first. I try to get them something to eat like donuts and coffee show them about Jesus and tell them that Jesus loves them. This is the perfect oppurtunity to share. I love the Lord and we should always b ready to share the hope of the gospel thats living in us which is the truth about JESUS.

  5. Verses 1-11 MSG version tells the story of the crippled man by the gate called Beautiful. This man the Bible says looked up as the end of verse 5 says “…..When he saw Peter and John about to enter the Temple, he asked for a handout. Peter, with John at his side, looked him straight in the eye and said, “Look here.” He looked up, expecting to get something from them.” I see it as an act of obedience, Peter told him “Look here” and he did with an expectation of getting something from them. Maybe he wasn’t expecting the miracle he received; but, without him doing his part (his obedience), he may never have received anything. We have to do our part and do it with an expectation of receiving something from the Lord….not for ourselves; but MORE and MORE for His kingdom.

This story always reminds me of the first church that I remember growing up in. It was called “La Hermosa” (“The Beautiful”). I have awesome memories of that church, my Pastors (who are Bianca’s godparents), my Sunday School teachers, and I can see now the part that my parents did (with the grace of God), to bring me where I am today. Thank you Lord for your mercy and for all the wonderful people you have placed in my life.

  6. iLove to eat more Word

“He expected more…” (What he got was more work)

5 And he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive something of them. 6 Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.

Peter never asked the man what he wanted, never told the man what to expect, never even asked the man for permission.

The crippled man expected “more” provision, but what he received was far more. He received the ability to work for his own provision. The man was excited… all are not excited. I have asked some if they wanted healing and they told me no because they are receiving a check from the government. If you really want more, it might cause you to be required to work more.

If the man of God asks a request from those who have received “more,” we have to find the way to do more.

Only expect more if you are willing to work more. Don’t find every excuse in the book to get out of the work of God…

  7. NLT 2 As they approached the Temple, a man lame from birth was being carried in. Each day he was put beside the Temple gate, the one called the Beautiful Gate, so he could beg from the people going into the Temple. 3 When he saw Peter and John about to enter, he asked them for some money.

4 Peter and John looked at him intently, and Peter said, “Look at us!” 5 The lame man looked at them eagerly, expecting some money. 6 But Peter said, “I don’t have any silver or gold for you. But I’ll give you what I have. In the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene,a get up and walk!”

As soon as the lame man was healed, he realized how much more important the spiritual power and the name of Jesus is versus monetary items. He could have walked away after his healing, but instead he followed Peter, entered the temple and then starting praising! Now this man has a testimony, will encourage others to follow Jesus, and will be able to provide for himself. Let us always remember to praise God for his miracles and blessings that he gives us.

  8. 2 And a certain man lame from his mother’s womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms of them that entered into the temple;

As I read this I can but think of that beautiful moment of healing. I love you Lord and I will await your healing, and it will be a sweet to be embraced and surrounded by your presence. To stand feeling the warmth of your Glory!!! You are great and greatly to be Praised!!!!!! Thank you JESUS FOR BY YOUR STRIPES WE ARE HEALED!!!!!!!!!!!

8 And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God.

  9. 6 Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.

we may not have much to give to people in the way of money, but the truth of the gospel is the greatest gift we can give them and lead them to Jesus and his saving grace.

  10. The Key to Revival

    Acts 3:19 (KJV Strong’s)
    19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;

The word refreshing is (Olive Tree Enhanced Strong’s Dictionary) g0403. ἀνάψυξις anapsyxis; from 404; properly, a recovery of breath, i.e. (figuratively) revival: — REVIVAL.
    AV (1) – refreshing 1;
    a cooling, refreshing

It also means recreation, and a coolness after the heat.

The word Revival defined by webster is a new presentation or publication of something old. c (1) : a period of renewed religious interest (2) : an often highly emotional evangelistic meeting or series of meetings. 2 : restoration of force, validity, or effect (as to a contract)

Revival is to reawaken the mind to Christ, and refocus the attention of the church.

Many today seek revival. They pay evangelists to come in and stir up revival. Many attend conferences about revival, or read books on revival. Yet these are good means, and noble things but not what the bible says births revival.

I believe in revival. I think that the church should continually live in revival, outpouring, and harvest.

So how do we get revival?

Around 40 ad 120 people had prayed fervently in a room. They paced, swayed, bowed, cried, and waited for the promise of the father. After 7 to 10 days of praying, and worshipping God, the Holy Ghost was poured out and within a few days 5000 people had received the Holy Ghost!

“In the early 1800’s a long-lasting spiritual awakening began in Newark, New Jersey with a day of humiliation and prayer for the mighty work of the Spirit. Christians banded together to pray for their pastors. Entire congregations were deeply moved through intense prayer. Ministers in pairs preached in prepared congregations and saw large numbers profess faith.

Charles G. Finney, who lived from 1792 to 1875, had a remarkable ministry that revived many Christians and God used his preaching to bring 500,000 to Christ. Finney said that the spirit of prayer which prevailed in his meetings was a very marked feature. New converts were so moved that they sometimes spent whole nights of prayer. A preacher named Daniel Nash traveled with Finney as a prayer partner. Nash would pray three or four hours a day. Finney himself spent so much time in prayer that he sometimes thought he was literally praying “without ceasing.” Through prayer God moved mightily.” – http://www.praywithchrist.org/prayer/keytorevival.php

Time does not permit to tell of the major revivals over the last 200 years that began because of prayer. Even Azusa street happened because men and women prayed for hours everyday for two years.

The key to revival is acts 3:19

Acts 3:19 (Wuest – The New Testament: An Expanded Translation)
19 Therefore repent at once, instantly changing your attitude, and perform a right-about-face in order that your sins may be obliterated, in order that there may come epoch-making periods of spiritual revival and refreshment from the presence of the Lord,

Revival comes from being in his presence!

  11. Bold faith

    Acts 3:6
But Peter said, “I do not possess silver and gold, but what I do have I give to you: In the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene—walk!”

Oh the day we as a collective whole operate in such a way. Imagine what would happen. Coworkers complain about their lives or their sickness and we say in the name of Jesus….

Is God God, let’s stir up our faith and see.

  12. Giving credit where credit is due.

12 And when Peter saw it, he answered unto the people, Ye men of Israel, why marvel ye at this? or why look ye so earnestly on us, as though by our own power or holiness we had made this man to walk?

In today’s world of microwave dinners, drive thru meals and instant potatoes we humans are using less and less self-control and patience. We want it now, hot and fresh. If we want to hear a particular song, today we do not have to forward the cassette through to the other side. We simply spell it out in Spotify or press a few buttons on our media players and our soul is soothed with the melody.

I have noticed through the years this same lack of patience has resulted in business people taking short-cuts. There is no thought as to who might get over-stepped or stepped on in the quest for promotion and advancement.

We need to ensure that in this world of instant gratification we give credit where it is due. If there is no other human that knows the truth of a certain situation be sure the Lord knows the truth.

  13. vs 16
this verse to me is a faith bulider it also reminds me that every thing we do should be done in Jesus name.
16 Jesus name has healed this man and you no how la me he was before. Faith IN JESUS NAME. Faith given to us from God has caused this perfect healing.

  14. But Peter said, “I don’t have any silver or gold for you. But I’ll give you what I have. In the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, get up and walk!” (‭Acts of the Apostles‬ ‭3‬:‭6‬ NLT)

We are just like Peter. We have the Bread of Life to feed those around us. We must seize every opportunity that we have to feed them the Truth. If we love Him we will feed His sheep.

    I love the Truth!

After breakfast Jesus asked Simon Peter, “Simon son of John, do you love me more than these? ” “Yes, Lord,” Peter replied, “you know I love you.” “Then feed my lambs,” Jesus told him. Jesus repeated the question: “Simon son of John, do you love me?” “Yes, Lord,” Peter said, “you know I love you.” “Then take care of my sheep,” Jesus said. A third time he asked him, “Simon son of John, do you love me?” Peter was hurt that Jesus asked the question a third time. He said, “Lord, you know everything. You know that I love you.” Jesus said, “Then feed my sheep. (‭John‬ ‭21‬:‭15-17‬ NLT)

  15. 2 And a certain man lame from his mother’s womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms of them that entered into the temple;

    The gate called Beautiful

    Beautiful
g5611. ὡραῖος hōraios; from 5610; belonging to the right hour or season (timely), i.e. (by implication) flourishing (beauteous (figuratively)): — beautiful.

When we think of the word beautiful we think of something as lovely, attractive, and pleasing to the eye, but the word beautiful here means in its right season or timely. This word is the same word used in Romans 10:15
And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!

How timely/on time are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace!

Peter and john served an on time God, they went out preaching an on time message, and met a man who was sitting in a timely place. It was his season. The gate he sat at became his gate of opportunity for himself and others. One definition for gate is any means of access or entrance. He was in his right place at the right time for his miracle, it opened up the gate for people to hear about and believe on jesus. What a beautiful gate.
We today serve the same God and he never changes. He is still an on time God. When we carry His gospel we carry a timely message. God will allow us to meet people who are ready, it’s their season, for the gospel and when we meet them and bring the good news we will meet them at a gate called beautiful.

  16. Peter saw his opportunity and addressed the crowd. “People of Israel,” he said, “what is so surprising about this? And why stare at us as though we had made this man walk by our own power or godliness? (‭Acts of the Apostles‬ ‭3‬:‭12‬ NLT)

I love how Peters mind set was in this passage. To have no doubt whatsoever in what you were about to witness bc he knew God was going to heal the man. I desire such a mind set, to not have doubt in anything I do in Gods will. I want to see Gods hand reach down and do the miraculous and have no reservations about His abilities. I think we should all pray to not see as we see but to see how He sees.

God will do much more than He already has at pofw… I’m ready!

  17. 16 And his name through faith in his name hath made this man strong, whom ye see and know: yea, the faith which is by him hath given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.

You will be made whole through your faith!! Lord help me to continually build my faith up on your word!

  18. But Peter said, “I don’t have any silver or gold for you. But I’ll give you what I have. In the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, get up and walk!” (‭Acts‬ ‭3‬:‭6‬ NLT)

We may not have material things to offer but souls are looking for much more. We have the word of God to share, we have the love these souls are looking for. Use us Lord!

  19. MORE THAN EXPECTED

3 Who seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple asked an alms.
4 And Peter, fastening his eyes upon him with John, said, Look on us.
5 And he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive something of them.
6 Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk
7 And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength.
8 And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God.
9 And all the people saw him walking and praising God:

So often we find ourselves in a situation where we are willing to accept something/anything. Most days people simply seek to make it through the day. This is the lifestyle that the young man lived by, daily brought to the gate of need and provision by life circumstances and situations.

The common man with unresolved life problems and circumstances beyond his control was doing all that he knew to do, “ask for help”. While some are better than others at asking for help, this is all the man laid at the knew in life.

The GOD of MORE interrupted the routine of daily begging with MORE THAN EXPECTED.

I believe GOD is preparing a MORE THAN EXPECTED blessing for those that are reading this.

    iPray
    iBelieve
    iWork
    iGive
    iReap

  20. 6 Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.

Amen Jesus we may not have many materialistic things but we have the name that is above all names….Jesus Christ!!!!!!! I have witnessed so many people are hungry for God. They want to count on somebody that can just give them peace, deliverance, power, and MORE! God didn’t create us so we can go do worldly things…..those things are jus temporary fulfillment. We were created to praise, exalt, and worship the name of Jesus Christ:) no better place than his precense!!!!! So let’s not keep his name to for us but go and spread the gospel in Jesus Name!

  21. 11 And as the lame man which was healed held Peter and John, all the people ran together unto them in the porch that is called Solomon’s, greatly wondering.

    14 But ye denied the Holy One and the Just, and desired a murderer to be granted unto you;

15 And killed the Prince of life, whom God hath raised from the dead; whereof we are witnesses.

Peter took this opportunity to preach Jesus to the people who came to see what had just happened and it reminds me of when Jesus asked the people one day what they came out to see-a reed shaking in the wind? As it turns out, it wasn’t another man starting another movement, it was the same Jesus they had tried to be rid of. Peter preached giving the glory to God alone-Jesus! We must also take every opportunity to point out Jesus in our lives whenever the chance arises and give an account of the hope we have in Him.

  22. 3 Who seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple asked an alms.

Here we are able to see an example of how wonderfully Jesus wants to work for each of us. If we look we can see the pattern:

    First the man asked (vs3)
Then he heard and obeyed EXPECTANTLY (vs4-5)
And as he reached, he received (vs7)

Sometimes blessing come without us reaching for them, and sometimes we have to fight for them. Have you ever thought what would have happened to the man had he decided to hang his head in shame when Peter told him to rise and walk? What is the difference in this man receiving or not receiving his miracle and you or I receiving or not receiving our miracle?

  23. I dont have any money to hand to you. I have no medicine to heal you. I don’t have the words to speak wisdom in your life.

But I know a God that can do all things. If you call on his name and have faith you will be blessed. In Jesus name. Amen

  24. 12 And when Peter saw it, he answered unto the people, Ye men of Israel, why marvel ye at this? or why look ye so earnestly on us, as though by our own power or holiness we had made this man to walk?

Give God the glory. We must always keep in mind that without Jesus we cannot do anything. It is in Him that we breathe and have our being . We recieve power when we get the Holy Ghost, but this power is to be witnesses of Him. We must always set out feet on the ground and pray to be humble and recognize that is through faith in Jesus that He works. We are His vessels. Let us give thanks and honor Jesus in all we do and specially the things done for the Kigdon of God. Every demonstration is a great opportunity to boast on His goodness and preach Jesus. The voices will come but we must not fall trap that to think as the devil. We must always give God honor and glory. What we have is Him in us. Thank you Jesus. Let your name be praised and glorified. Thank you for your love and all you do for us.

We need more demonstrations to preach even more Jesus!

  25. 8 And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God.

Thank you Jesus. Praise him more cause we can walk.

  26. Then Peter said silver or gold I don’t have but what I do have I give you in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth walk.taking him by the right hand he helped him up and instantly the mans feet and ankles became strong.

  27. 6 Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.
Thank you Jesus for being my healer! 🙂 What a might God we serve!

  28. 5 And he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive something of them.

This is one of my favorite verses in this chapter. It doesn’t say that the lame man expected to receive money from them. Peter had locked eyes on him before he addressed them. Sort of like a kiosk at the mall, if you lock eyes on one of the sellsmen you are bound to get stopped for a sales pitch. Peter knew what the lame man wanted and needed. The lame man simply expected to recieved “something” from the men of God walking to church. He knew who they were, he was there every day begging and they were there all the time for prayer. This was the divine appointment the lame man was not expecting, he only expected to recieved, and had no idea he would recieve radical healing. We need this lame man’s same heart of expectation.

  29. 6 Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.

Often times we stand in amazement about what God has done for us because we believe that God would do it for someone else and not ourselves. What God can do for others he can do it for you too ! How much faith do you have? How bad do you want your miracle?

  30. 5 And he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive something of them.

The world has not changed much. They are looking to the poeople of God for something. It is our time to give out of that we have from the Holy Ghost.

Healing, deliverance, peace, joy, & salvation!

    It’s our time POFW! Revival!

  31. 3 Who seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple asked an alms.

4 And Peter, fastening his eyes upon him with John, said, Look on us.

5 And he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive something of them.

How many people do we meet everyday that asks us a question about something natural when deep down inside they are wanting something spiritual from us. We must be instant in season and out of season to meet their needs.

  32. 6, “Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none: but such as I have give I thee; In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.”
7, “And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength.”
8, “And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God.”

Peter and John didn’t have money go give the lame man, but what they did have was Power and Authority in Jesus’ Name to heal the sick. Peter took the lame by the right hand and lifted him up, and when he did, immediately the lame man received strength in his feet and ankle bones. He got up and started walking, leaping, and praising God.

The old saying goes, “Money can’t by happiness,” but there is one thing that can, and that is Healing in the Name of Jesus Christ. It will cause you to get up on your feet, walk, leap (dance and jump), and Praise God.

Thank you JESUS that through Faith in Your Name we can be healed. (Not just physically but spiritually as well.)

  33. 19…..when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.

We all need to be refreshed, revived and restored. Only God can give us a true refreshing. Only he can rejuvenate our soul. Our God is worthy of the high praise.

  34. v16 And his name through faith in his name hath made this man strong, whom ye see and know: yea, the faith which is by him hath given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all .

    Perfect Soundness
    GOD still works miracles !!!
Believe in HIS WORDS and WORKS !!!
GOD still responds to our faith and needs .

  35. And his name through faith in his name hath made this man strong, whom ye see and know: yea, the faith which is by him hath give him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.

Just have faith. Just a seed to grow into a tree. We are all given a measure of faith. So what are you doing with yours? Yo have more faith is to grow it. To stretch it. So stretch.

  36. Oh how I love Gods word.
What a wonderful chapter describing where our faith should be!!!
I love how it clearly mentions that Peter and John heal a lame man IN JESUS NAME!!!

If we could all realise more often the power of that wonderful name, JESUS!!!!!
Sometimes we take for granted even the littlest things to pray about because we just dont think God would answer such a small prayer when He has so many other prayers that should be answered.
Thats when we are truly doubting how MIGHTY AND AWESOME IS HE!!!!
It is so beautiful how Peter is still trying to convience the people of Jerusalem to repent
vs. 19 “Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;”

Peter knew that they had denied “the Holy One and the Just”, but still preached the gospel to them.
What kind of hurt was Peter going through knowing that these people denied Jesus!! Oh how we can be so unforgiving sometimes, if we could all learn from Peter here and not worry about what someone has said or done to you or someone else close to you, but love them and pray for them and preach the word to all who are lost.
Thank you Jesus for your grace and your mercy.
    I love you Jesus!!!

  37. “Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began.” There is a reason for everything with God (Jesus), one would be wise to hear the man of God, especially if it is repeated, and repeated; “which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets”. What a mighty God we serve! Thank God for his word. God bless America, Jerusalem, and you all in Jesus name, Amen!

  38. Denial… The power killer

    14 But ye denied the Holy One and the Just, and desired a murderer to be granted unto you;

15 And killed the Prince of life, whom God hath raised from the dead; whereof we are witnesses.

Peter understood who the source of his power was, Jesus. Peter tells them they denied His in front of Pilate, denied the Holy One, and killed the price of life. Count itnot strange that Peter denied Him three times.

  39. More Than Just A Routine

1 Now Peter and John went up together into the temple at the hour of prayer, being the ninth hour.

They were going to pray because it was the “normal” prayer time they committed to God. It wasn’t a special assembly or some kind of great meal, but a regular event in their schedule. Even though they knew what was “going to happen” they were still expecting a move of God! Their expectations were so high that when the lame man spoke to them they were able to speak his healing into existence in JESUS name!

What would happen if we all had MORE faith and MORE boldness like Perth and John?
    –MORE people would believe.

  40. The miracle of healing physically is only a portion of what Jesus can do so we need to praise him and thank him for what he does for us so that others can see. The word says your testimony is your greatest witnessing tool.

  41. 19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.

2 Corithians 7:9-10 Now I rejoice, not that ye were made sorry but that ye sorrowed to repentance, for ye were made sorry after a godly manner, that ye might receive damage by us in nothing.

For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of, but the sorrow of the world worketh death.

  42. More Jesus

V13 had me thinking about the detailed, behind the scenes actions recorded in the gospels leading up the Jesus’ crucifixion. These were details that surely the Disciples could not have witnessed due to circumstance. So how might they have known? After His resurrection, Jesus stayed with His Disciples for a season prior to ascension. Logically it would seem that during this time they were able to collect account from Jesus Himself of some of the more intimate details pertaining to His crucifixion. V13 speaks with surety, not speculation, about Pilate’s intentions, but who can truly know the heart but God?

V12 connects to this as Peter asks the onlookers if they would possibly think the man had been healed by their own ability or merit. He points immediately to God as the reason and author of the miracle. Time with the Lord gives opportunity for His reality to flow through our lives, not only in demonstration and power of the Spirit but in things that only come by relationship with Him.

    Luke 4:1-2, 13-14
1 And Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost returned from Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness,

2 Being forty days tempted of the devil. And in those days he did eat nothing: and when they were ended, he afterward hungered.

13 And when the devil had ended all the temptation, he departed from him for a season.

14 And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee: and there went out a fame of him through all the region round about.

  43. 12) And when peter saw it, he answered unto the people, Ye men of Israel , why marvel ye at this? Or why loo mm ye so earnestly on us , as though by or own power or holiness we had made this man to walk.

  44. 3 Who seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple asked an alms.

It wasn’t on there way out of prayer but on there way to prayer. What there daily experience with God had finally produced in there lives that gave them the boldness in the Holy Ghost to use the power that God had invested in them.

    2 And a certain man lame from his mother’s womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms of them that entered into the temple;

Daily the devil set a trap to rob there faith, on there way in and out if the temple. The power of the Holy Ghost is what we have to face the enemy at any time he shows his ugly face.

  45. Silver and Gold !!!! 1. NOW Pe’-ter and John went up together into the temple at the hour of prayer, being the ninth hour. 2. And a certain man lame from his mother’s womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms of them that entered into the temple; 3. Who seeing Pe’- ter, and John about to go into the temple asked an alms. 4. And Pe’-ter, fastening his eyes upon him with John, said, Look on us. 5. And he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive something of them. 6. Then Pe’-ter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Je’-sus Christ of Naz’-a-reth rise up and walk. Jesus you are Pure as Silver and Gold !!!! I Love to worship you !!!!
