Acts 28

1 And when they were escaped, then they knew that the island was called Melita.

2 And the barbarous people shewed us no little kindness: for they kindled a fire, and received us every one, because of the present rain, and because of the cold.

3 And when Paul had gathered a bundle of sticks, and laid them on the fire, there came a viper out of the heat, and fastened on his hand.

4 And when the barbarians saw the venomous beast hang on his hand, they said among themselves, No doubt this man is a murderer, whom, though he hath escaped the sea, yet vengeance suffereth not to live.

5 And he shook off the beast into the fire, and felt no harm.

6 Howbeit they looked when he should have swollen, or fallen down dead suddenly: but after they had looked a great while, and saw no harm come to him, they changed their minds, and said that he was a god.

7 In the same quarters were possessions of the chief man of the island, whose name was Publius; who received us, and lodged us three days courteously.

8 And it came to pass, that the father of Publius lay sick of a fever and of a bloody flux: to whom Paul entered in, and prayed, and laid his hands on him, and healed him.

9 So when this was done, others also, which had diseases in the island, came, and were healed:

10 Who also honoured us with many honours; and when we departed, they laded us with such things as were necessary.

11 And after three months we departed in a ship of Alexandria, which had wintered in the isle, whose sign was Castor and Pollux.

12 And landing at Syracuse, we tarried there three days.

13 And from thence we fetched a compass, and came to Rhegium: and after one day the south wind blew, and we came the next day to Puteoli:

14 Where we found brethren, and were desired to tarry with them seven days: and so we went toward Rome.

15 And from thence, when the brethren heard of us, they came to meet us as far as Appii forum, and The three taverns: whom when Paul saw, he thanked God, and took courage.

16 And when we came to Rome, the centurion delivered the prisoners to the captain of the guard: but Paul was suffered to dwell by himself with a soldier that kept him.

17 And it came to pass, that after three days Paul called the chief of the Jews together: and when they were come together, he said unto them, Men and brethren, though I have committed nothing against the people, or customs of our fathers, yet was I delivered prisoner from Jerusalem into the hands of the Romans.

18 Who, when they had examined me, would have let me go, because there was no cause of death in me.

19 But when the Jews spake against it, I was constrained to appeal unto Caesar; not that I had ought to accuse my nation of.

20 For this cause therefore have I called for you, to see you, and to speak with you: because that for the hope of Israel I am bound with this chain.

21 And they said unto him, We neither received letters out of Judaea concerning thee, neither any of the brethren that came shewed or spake any harm of thee.

22 But we desire to hear of thee what thou thinkest: for as concerning this sect, we know that every where it is spoken against.

23 And when they had appointed him a day, there came many to him into his lodging; to whom he expounded and testified the kingdom of God, persuading them concerning Jesus, both out of the law of Moses, and out of the prophets, from morning till evening.

24 And some believed the things which were spoken, and some believed not.

25 And when they agreed not among themselves, they departed, after that Paul had spoken one word, Well spake the Holy Ghost by Esaias the prophet unto our fathers,

26 Saying, Go unto this people, and say, Hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and not perceive:

27 For the heart of this people is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes have they closed; lest they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.

28 Be it known therefore unto you, that the salvation of God is sent unto the Gentiles, and that they will hear it.

29 And when he had said these words, the Jews departed, and had great reasoning among themselves.

30 And Paul dwelt two whole years in his own hired house, and received all that came in unto him,

31 Preaching the kingdom of God, and teaching those things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ, with all confidence, no man forbidding him.

  1. preaching the kingdom of God and teaching the things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ with all confidence, no one forbidding him. (‭Acts‬ ‭28‬:‭31‬ NKJV)

Preached and nobody stopped them in Rome all they wanted to do was to hear was what he believed. Nobody even try Stop him.

But could they comprehend the salvation of Jesus Christ?…

  2. Acts 28:16 Paul declares to those very believers that he avoided building on another man’s work (Romans 15:20) ; yet he would be doing exactly that if another apostle had established it.

Romans 15:20 Yea, so have I strived to preach the gospel, not where Christ was named, lest I should build upon another man’s foundation:

  3. It is time to shake off all the things that are hindering you from accomplishing the things that God has called you to do. Yes…people are going to talk; yes…things are gonna come against you: but keep on pushing, keep sharing your testimony along the way and your journey will be one MORE thing to glorify his name for!

  4. Traditions

28 Be it known therefore unto you, that the salvation of God is sent unto the Gentiles, and that they will hear it.

I wonder how many people have been kept from the truth due to tradition. I know a family whose grandfather was a Baptist preacher. His children were Baptists and now this generation of people is Baptists; simply because Grandfather was Baptist. They are not open to suggestion or discussion on the matter. They are nice people. They are kind people. However they are closed off to the suggestion that the patriarch of the family could have been mistaken in some of his beliefs.

I am so thankful the Lord positioned me in such a way as to hear the truth and have the opportunity to believe.

  5. SPEAK HIS WORD

    The Spirit of the LORD established the platform, the people desired to hear what Paul had to say, Paul responded to the call of GOD and expounded, testified and taught on the Kingdom of GOD. Everything was aligned for MORE Apostolic Pentecostal Revival. Everything that could have been done in preparation for the entire city to be converted was established; however;

24 And some believed the things which were spoken, and some believed not.

We as the vessels of the LORD cannot control the outcome of our efforts and investments. Some will believe and some will not,

    THIS DOES NOT AFFECT TRUTH

TRUTH will be TRUTH even if nobody believes it.

I am thankful for all that have invested in me through the preaching and teaching of the gospel of JESUS. I am thankful for the opportunity to believe and receive of GOD.

  6. THIS CHAPTER IS A FULL FEAST!!!!!!
PSALM 119:103 How sweet are thy words unto my taste! yea, sweeter than honey to my mouth!
PSALM 19:10 More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.
EZEKIEL 3:3 And he said unto me, Son of man, cause thy belly to eat, and fill thy bowels with this roll that I give thee. Then did I eat it; and it was in my mouth as honey for sweetness.

Now that we understand that we are about to eat the sweetest feast our Lord has given us. IT’S CHOW TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!

3 And when Paul had gathered a bundle of sticks, and laid them on the fire, there came a viper out of the heat, and fastened on his hand.

Here is Paul, doing what he does best, SERVING!!!! When was the last time you serve your brothers and sister. Truly serve them, with humility and love in your heart. Not a complaint of “what does pastor wants from us? Why do we always have to be working? Now, he wants us to do MORE?” SHAME on you!!!! You see, people don’t notice but I seat and watch and hear. If PAUL, A DISCIPLE OF CHRIST, can stand and go gather wood for a fire for everyone to be able to keep warm, HOW MUCH MORE SHOULD WE, SINNERS, UNWORTHY OF HIS GRACE, SHOULD BE DOING TO SERVE OUR BROTHERS AND SISTERS IN THE LORD!!!!! Lets not forget, the viper!!!! There is a book called Why Bad things happen to good People by Rabbi Harold S. Kushner. The viper biting Paul could be just a coincidence but GOD USES ALL FOR HIS GLORY and for your testimony to bring others to CHRIST. How righteous is our God??? Matthew 5:45 That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.

I say all this to clarify that we should always serve with a JOYFUL HEART. No matter what happens, no matter what ills you, ALWAYS GIVE GOD THE GLORY AND ALL PRAISE FOR HE IS GOOD!!!!! THIS TOO SHALL PASS AND HE WILL USE IT FOR A GREAT AND POWERFUL TESTIMONY!!!!

  7. As Paul had said everybody will reach the shore safely. On Malta Paul is bitten by a snake and not harmed all the people of the island thought he woould die but did not and all were amazed and also heals a leading man on the island after that people of the island trusted Paul.

  8. 2 And the barbarous people shewed us no little kindness: for they kindled a fire, and received us every one, because of the present rain, and because of the cold.

Be kind to people you don’t know, do not judge or mumble. you never know who God has sent and how God wants to use them. you do not know what trials they have or are going through.

just like the barbarous people they showed them no little kindness meaning a whole lot of kindness, but they did not know them. Was it just manners that they were so kind? probably not because they were barbarous people. Gods mercy? most likely.
but that does not mean we should sit aside and let God do all the work.
we must be kind not JUST to new guest but to everyone!

  9. 31 boldly proclaiming the Kingdom of God and teaching about the Lord Jesus Christ. And no one tried to stop him. (NLT)

The KJV says Paul had “all confidence.” Even after everything he had been through, Paul didn’t let it discourage him or cause him to say, “forget it, this is too hard, it’s just not worth it.” No! Instead he kept his focus on God and never lost sight of the purpose and mission he was on. We must have the same passion, boldness and confidence so that no matter what trials may come we can stand strong and proclaim His word.

  10. “iLove to eat more Word”

    more fire
This snake that latched onto the hand of Paul attempted to take his life. The barbarians assumed that the trial Paul was going through was Judgement on his life. Many assume the same today.

Many today walk in the same judgemental spirit that these barbarians did. Just because snakes latch onto a believer doesn’t mean the judgement of God is on that person. God’s grace will always be the fire that will destroy the serpent and and the effects of the venom. We need more fire. Revival

  11. 15 And from thence, when the brethren heard of us, they came to meet us as far as Appii forum, and The three taverns: whom when Paul saw, he thanked God, and took courage.

Being around people of like faith causes us to praise God and strengthen us.

  12. Acts 28:11 (KJV Strong’s)
11 And after three months we departed in a ship of Alexandria, which had wintered in the isle, whose sign was Castor and Pollux.

The church is like a ship. It’s not built to conquer the seas but to survive in them.

When a storm comes the ship is at the mercy of the waves, and the wind. Each gust cause the ship to be tossed. Yet God designed the church to hold up.

Paul finally reaches his destination of Rome. He himself was a sacrifice to further the gospel.

We may not understand our future but when we let the ship sail, and put our trust in God we will end up where God has destined us.

  13. 9 So when this was done, others also, which had diseases in the island, came, and were healed:

10 Who also honoured us with many honours; and when we departed, they laded us with such things as were necessary.

These verses made me think of the scripture that says a workman is worthy of his hire. Paul labored for the kingdom and all his needs were supplied. God is the same yesterday, today and forever and as we labor for more revival, our needs will be met.

  14. Paul was still preaching what God put in his. Heart and the Jews were still questioning the message. People today question the truth, but this never changes what God can do.
God has the power to accomplish all things and we must allow him to move in our lives.

  15. 20For this reason I have asked to see you and talk with you. It is because of the hope of Israel that I am bound with this chain.”

Paul is now waiting to appeal to Ceasar while under house arrest. The Romans would have let him go, but the Jews objected. He calls together the local Jewish leaders reporting the news to them. He didn’t have to report anything, but he understood the need to be accountable and submissive in turn they responded ” 22But we want to hear what your views are, for we know that people everywhere are talking against this sect.” When people find out that an apostolic has been imprisioned they may write them off to be a thief or murderer. Credibility and integrity was important to Paul, as it should be to us. This chapter doesn’t say how he was arrested but it’s after such a rollercoaster ride of traveling and being thought of as a god, healing the man with dysentery, and being honored with many honors.
None of these things stop Paul, in fact he says “It is because of the hope of Israel that I am bound with this chain.” He is in debt to the gospel. We are in debt to the gospel.

“30For two whole years Paul stayed there in his own rented house and welcomed all who came to see him. 31He proclaimed the kingdom of God and taught about the Lord Jesus Christ—with all boldness and without hindrance!”

  16. 28 Be it known therefore unto you, that the salvation of God is sent unto the Gentiles, and that they will hear it.

I don’t really think these people really took Paul seriously or trust paul. They thought he was a God but as far as changing there ways they need more time to see what Paul is really about. Regardless to them believing or not Gods word is settled in heaven, it would never change the word of God!

  17. 8 And it came to pass, that the father of Publius lay sick of a fever and of a bloody flux: to whom Paul entered in, and prayed, and laid his hands on him, and healed him.

These are the miracles and wonders pastor is talking about!!!! This is the normal that God does! Our God is so big that he can do the impossible!!! He heals, delivers, protects, loves , guides us and more!!! His love towards us is so big that were not worthy of but because he made us to worship Him and when we truly do humble ourselves and worship him he listens to us!!!! I am blessed to know that I have Jesus by my side all the time. He gives me that peace and joy that no one else can!!! Without you Jesus I am lost!!!! I want MORE of you Jesus!!!!

  18. 26 Saying, Go unto this people, and say, Hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and not perceive:
27 For the heart of this people is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes have they closed; lest they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.
28 Be it known therefore unto you, that the salvation of God is sent unto the Gentiles, and that they will hear it.

They lost their chance, God was calling them and they refused to listen so he replaced them. When we refuse to live in the will of God and we do not seek him he will find somebody that will. Who knows what he had in store for us before! and when we decide not to seek him he takes that blessing, that anointing, that power, that gift, and he gives it to someone else. And we are stuck wondering in our hearts where we would be if we would have just been faithful in seeking God. I don’t want that to happen to me. When God wants to bless me i want to be compleetley open to recieve it without myself getting in the way of my own blessing whatever that may be.

We must remember that God doesn’t owe us anything and everything he does for us is because he loves us. If we stop loving him it would be nothing for him to find someone else that loves him. I want a revival of love for God in my life in Jesus name.

  19. 21 And they said unto him, We neither received letters out of Judaea concerning thee, neither any of the brethren that came shewed or spake any harm of thee.

There are thousands and thousands of souls all around us that want to hear the same beautiful message as Paul taught. Although not all will believe, some will, and for those, their eternal destination might just change…

  20. 25, “And when they agreed not among themselves, they departed, after that Paul had spoken one word, Well spake the Holy Ghost by Esaias the prophet unto our fathers,”
26, “Saying, Go unto this people, and say, Hearing ye shall not hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and not perceive:”
27, “For the heart of this people is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes have they closed; lest they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.”
28, “Be it known therefore unto you, that the salvation of God is sent unto the Gentiles, and that they will hear.”

These scriptures brought so many other scriptures to mind today that I want to share with you.
Romans 9:24-26, “Even us, whom he hath called, not of the Jews only, but also of the Gentiles? As he saith also in Osee, I will call them my people, which were not my people; and her beloved, which was not beloved. And it shall come to pass, that in the place where it was said unto them, Ye are not my people; there shall they be called the children of the living God.”
Romans 11:11, “I say then, Have they stumbled that they should fall? God forbid: but rather through their fall salvation is come unto the Gentiles, for to provoke them to jealousy.”
Romans 11:24-25, “For if thou wert cut out of the olive tree which is wild by nature, and wert graffed contrary to nature into a good olive tree: how much more shall these, which be the natural branches, be graffed into their own olive tree? For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.”
Ephesians 3:6, “That the Gentiles should be fellowheirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel.”

Thank God for His MERCY and GRACE towards us Gentiles. Thank God, when we hear about His Salvation and receive it, we become graffed in. We become part of the body and are adopted and become the children of the living God. We become fellowheirs and partarkers of His promises.
WOW, that should cause us to shout, “HALLELUJAH, THANK YOU JESUS!”

  21. “14 Where we found brethren, and were desired to tarry with them seven days: and so we went toward Rome. 15 And from thence, when the brethren heard of us, they came to meet us as far as Appii forum, and The three taverns: whom when Paul saw, he thanked God, and took courage.”

John 15:16 “You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit–fruit that will last–and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you.”
God provides support for us where ever we may go. He’s got it all planned out for us and puts fellow believers in place to encourage us when we are in need. His grace never fails!

  22. Revival NOW…
This chapter is an excellent one. It is about seeing God’s glory falling down and reighning all the people that watched the beadt bite then he didnt get hurt. What a wonderful God(Jesus). He wants us to see how he heals restores delivers with his mighty power. An ontime God!!!

  23. 24 And some believed the things which were spoken, and some believed not.

When we tell of the goodness of God, not everyone is going to accept. This shouldn’t discourage us, but rather encourage. Their unbelief or rejection is not toward you, but it is towards God. This is why we must remain focused on the task God has given us. Stand bold and move forward.

  24. Preach the kingdom……

31 Preaching the kingdom of God, and teaching those things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ, with all confidence, no man forbidding him.

  25. “Be it known therefore unto you, that the salvation of God is sent unto the Gentiles, and that they will hear it.” Although they were told, they were not moved, because they were comfortable and satisfied. One will unfortunately witness the same is true today. While there are those that will hear and hunger for the Lord (Jesus), others will not, as they are comfortable and satisfied. Dear Jesus, help us (me) to hear and hunger for MORE of you. What a mighty God we serve! Thank God for his word. God bless America, Jerusalem, and you all in Jesus name, Amen!

  26. New Living Translation
25 And after they had argued back and forth among themselves, they left with this final word from Paul: “The Holy Spirit was right when he said to your ancestors through Isaiah the prophet,

26 ‘Go and say to this people:
When you hear what I say,
    you will not understand.
When you see what I do,
    you will not comprehend.
27 For the hearts of these people are hardened,
    and their ears cannot hear,
and they have closed their eyes—
    so their eyes cannot see,
    and their ears cannot hear,
    and their hearts cannot understand,
and they cannot turn to me
    and let me heal them.’[h]

    Matthew 13: 11-16
This is where Jesus is speaking to his disciples
10 His disciples came and asked him, “Why do you use parables when you talk to the people?”

11 He replied, “You are permitted to understand the secrets[a] of the Kingdom of Heaven, but others are not. 12 To those who listen to my teaching, more understanding will be given, and they will have an abundance of knowledge. But for those who are not listening, even what little understanding they have will be taken away from them. 13 That is why I use these parables,

For they look, but they don’t really see.
They hear, but they don’t really listen or understand.
14 This fulfills the prophecy of Isaiah that says,

‘When you hear what I say,
    you will not understand.
When you see what I do,
    you will not comprehend.
15 For the hearts of these people are hardened,
    and their ears cannot hear,
and they have closed their eyes—
    so their eyes cannot see,
    and their ears cannot hear,
    and their hearts cannot understand,
and they cannot turn to me
    and let me heal them.’[b]
16 “But blessed are your eyes, because they see; and your ears, because they hear.

Thank you Jesus for your word and let us always hear what you are saying to us.
Help us that we may never harden our hearts but always open it up for YOU at all times.
    Let us always understand.
Thank you Jesus I love you.

  27. 4 And when the barbarians saw the venomous beast hang on his hand, they said among themselves, No doubt this man is a murderer, whom, though he hath escaped the sea, yet vengeance suffereth not to live.

5 And he shook off the beast into the fire, and felt no harm.

When we pray and seek God’s face and go through his word, God will give us immunity against the poison that the enemy is trying to deliver into our lives. For the blood of the serpent has no power against the blood of Jesus!

Paul knew this, he wasn’t afraid of the venom going through his system because he knew he had a God that was greater than that. Our God is greater than any situation and problem that is in our lives!

  28. 31 Preaching the kingdom of God, and teaching those things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ, with all confidence, no man forbidding him.

If you preach Jesus you will get Jesus’ results. Paul stuck to the gospel and look at all the miracles he did after Jesus had ascended and he never met Jesus aside fro the road to Damascus. What could we do, or what could be see happen in our lives and our church if we got our minds fully on Jesus and the things he was concerned about? Thanks to Pastor Watts for that timely message last night. We need an unstoppable, perpetual revival to be with us for God’s plan to really take place in our lives. When it is really Gods will and not our own, no man can forbid.

  29. 30 And Paul dwelt two whole years in his own hired house, and received all that came in unto him,
31 Preaching the kingdom of God, and teaching those things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ, with all confidence, no man forbidding him.

It takes great dedecation to preach the word of God. Thank God for our pastor.

  30. 23 And when they had appointed him a day, there came many to him into his lodging; to whom he expounded and testified the kingdom of God, persuading them concerning Jesus, both out of the law of Moses, and out of the prophets, from morning till evening.
24 And some believed the things which were spoken, and some believed not.

    More were added.
The people were given an opportunity to trust the Lord. They heard about the things in the scriptures and about Paul’s testimony. Some believed and some didn’t. It was a choice, but those who believed were added in the kingdom. We have to give people a chance to hear about the things of God and a strong testimony so they can make up their mind to follow him or turn away.

  31. Shake it off

    Acts 28:3
But when Paul had gathered a bundle of sticks and laid them on the fire, a viper came out because of the heat and fastened itself on his hand.

Sometimes you have to shake the devil off in the fire before you can minister to the people.

  32. So a time was set, and on that day a large number of people came to Paul’s lodging. He explained and testified about the Kingdom of God and tried to persuade them about Jesus from the Scriptures. Using the law of Moses and the books of the prophets, he spoke to them from morning until evening. Some were persuaded by the things he said, but others did not believe. (‭Acts of the Apostles‬ ‭28‬:‭23-24‬ NLT)

As crazy as it sounds, not everyone is or will be accepting to Christ and His word. We are here to spread the gospel but it is not our choice on who others choose their gods to be…we need to pray that those who are blinded will see His love

  33. 8 And it came to pass, that the father of Publius lay sick of a fever and of a bloody flux: to whom Paul entered in, and prayed, and laid his hands on him, and healed him.
9 So when this was done, others also, which had diseases in the island, came, and were healed:
10 Who also honoured us with many honours; and when we departed, they laded us with such things as were necessary.

It is the grace of God that allows for more healings. These people must have been humbled to see a foreigner come and but hurt with no repercussions. Then after he was well he prayed for others and they became well. This caused MORE blessings for the inhabitants and the foreigners alike. The inhabitants received mercy and faith from The Lord. The travelers had provision and witnessed miracles. It was all MORE of the Grace and mercy of The Lord exhibited for all to see.

  34. Be it known therefore unto you, that the salvation of God is sent unto the Gentiles, and that they will hear.

Thanks be to God that He is an equal opportunity savior. He is not a respecter of persons, and great privilege have we as Gentiles to be partakers or this great salvation. However, the decision now lies with every individual….some will belive and others will not. Still, the message must be shared and the gospel preached and shared. It is our job to continue where the apostles have taken this message and continue to be witnesses of what God is doing for us, in our city and especially in our church. We need to spread this great news; salvation is given unto us!

  35. 3 And when Paul had gathered a bundle of sticks, and laid them on the fire, there came a viper out of the heat, and fastened on his hand.

How quick we are to judge people when something happens. We must study to be quiet and see what the outcome of situations are. Many times we jump to conclusions and then in the end find out we were wrong.

  36. Paul was judged by many, little did the people know that he was strong and that nothing would stop him from preaching the gospel. Paul was an example some people believed and some didn’t.

Lord my prayer is for lost souls to seek you.

  37. Acts 28:23 they arranged to meet Paul on a certain day and come in even larger numbers to the place where he was staying. He witnessed to them from morning till evening explaining about the kingdom of God and from the Law o Moses and from the prophets he tried to persuade them about Jesus.some were convinced by what he said but others would not believe.

  38. 31 He proclaimed the kingdom of God and taught about the Lord Jesus Christ—with all boldness and without hindrance!
Lord I want boldness like Paul. I want a hunger for you, so I can go out and tell everyone what you have done and what you are going to do!!! 🙂

  40. Viper !!!! 3. And when Paul had gathered a bundle of sticks, and laid them on the fire, there came a viper out of the heat, and fastened on his hand. 4. And when the barbarians saw the venomous beast hang on his hand, they said among themselves, No doubt this man is a murderer, whom, though he hath escaped the sea, yet vengeance suffereth not to live. 5. And he shook off the beast into the fire, and felt no harm. 6. Howbeit they looked when he should have swollen, or fallen down dead suddenly: but after they had looked a great while, and saw no harm come to him, they changed their minds, and said that he was a God. 7. In the same quarters were possessions of the chief man of the island, whose name was Pub’-li -us; who received us, and lodged us three days courteously. 8. And it came to pass, that the father of Pub’-li-us lay sick of a fever and of a bloody flux: to whom Paul entered in, and prayed, and laid his hands on him, and healed him. 9. So when this was done, others also, which had diseases in the island, came, and were healed: THANK YOU JESUS !!!!
