Romans 1

1 Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God,

2 (Which he had promised afore by his prophets in the holy scriptures,)

3 Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh;

4 And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead:

5 By whom we have received grace and apostleship, for obedience to the faith among all nations, for his name:

6 Among whom are ye also the called of Jesus Christ:

7 To all that be in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.

8 First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, that your faith is spoken of throughout the whole world.

9 For God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the gospel of his Son, that without ceasing I make mention of you always in my prayers;

10 Making request, if by any means now at length I might have a prosperous journey by the will of God to come unto you.

11 For I long to see you, that I may impart unto you some spiritual gift, to the end ye may be established;

12 That is, that I may be comforted together with you by the mutual faith both of you and me.

13 Now I would not have you ignorant, brethren, that oftentimes I purposed to come unto you, (but was let hitherto,) that I might have some fruit among you also, even as among other Gentiles.

14 I am debtor both to the Greeks, and to the Barbarians; both to the wise, and to the unwise.

15 So, as much as in me is, I am ready to preach the gospel to you that are at Rome also.

16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.

18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;

19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.

20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,

23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.

24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:

25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.

26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:

27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.

28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,

30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,

31 Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:

32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

  1. 16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

The world is not ashamed of their lifestyles and expressing their opinions against His Word; how much more we should be unashamed of proclaiming Truth to this untoward generation!

    Mark 8:38 KJV
Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.

  2. 15 So, as much as in me is, I am ready to preach the gospel to you that are at Rome also.

16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

    Witness about Jesus.
What a wonderful love to the people in that time that Paul had. He was telling all people about Jesus at all cost. Do we,I do that…at all cost?? ,Yes!!!! We do…in Jesus Name. We are a peculiar people praise Him!!!!

    JESUS I will..

  3. 14 I am debtor both to the Greeks, and to the Barbarians; both to the wise, and to the unwise.

We are all debtors to everyone we know, to every person we come in contact with, that is to preach the gospel to them.
Thank you JESUS for such mercy and grace. Abundance of blessings you have entrusted unto me. I PRAISE you and only YOU JESUS!!! HALELUJAH!!!

  4. A lack of faith will cause you to be ignorant of the things of God.

8 First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, that your faith is spoken of throughout the whole world.

Faith is not seen but can be heard. It stands alone when there is nothing to stand on but a word. Faith says my God was a healer in the Bible and for my sister last week so he can and will today.

We must be careful not to waver in our faith because it will cause us to not see God as “The I Am”; we will become unthankful, vain, and foolish. This all taints our faith and changes the image of God to mortal state, then a beastly state, and lastly a reprobate mind. Slithering amd creeping as satan would.

Why because people once looked upon you as a symbol of faith. You where talked about all over the world. When others looked upon you they saw God. You reflected Him and His word now you reflect yourself all because in a moment of time you allowed doubt to steal what God has already spoken.

Then the longer you believe the lie that God is not who his Word says He is you are sacked into a Web of lies and deciet. As a spider deceives it’s prey to fall into his Web you have been deceived by one lie to question and eventually doubt all truth.

Let us not be ignorant about who God is, the Godhead, and ourselves but let us stand sure footed in our faith and waver not. Falling in love with His Word and the daily word He gives us because faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God.

Just a thought: faith comes by our testimony and our testimony comes from the “right now” word God speaks to us when we are in the middle of our situation. The wind is blowing but we are to anchor ourselves into the word and take our eyes off the typhoon that is around us.

  5. 9 For God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the gospel of his Son, that without ceasing I make mention of you always in my prayers;

Paul went through a world of trouble in his day. In and out of prison and persecution. If anyone had the right for a ‘whoa is me’ prayer session then it was him. He didn’t though; Paul had the revelation that we all must have. Paul knew that praying for others made his problems smaller. He’s was confident in confessing that when he said ‘i make mention of you always’ If we can unfocus our prayer life from ourselves and use that tine with God seelflessly then he will honour that and bless us for it. When we realize the world of problems that the people we love live in it should hurt us to our very core and shake us to know. This is why we should fill our prayer life with the prayers for others. Pastor, friends, family, THE LOST. these people need our prayers. Lets not be selfish

  6. How to backslide.

    Romans 1:21 (KJV Strong’s)
21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

    Backsliding is a downward process.

The first step was knowing God but not glorifying him as God.

Glorify means to praise, extol, and magnify.

They stopped praising, then stopped thanking him. Then their thoughts became idolatrous. Soon their mind, and feelings were darkened.

What leads to homosexuality, formication, greed?

    Romans 1:29-31 (Weymouth New Testament)
29 Their hearts overflowed with all sorts of dishonesty, mischief, greed, malice. They were full of envy and murder, and were quarrelsome, crafty, and spiteful. 30 They were secret backbiters, open slanderers; hateful to God, insolent, haughty, boastful; inventors of new forms of sin, disobedient to parents, destitute of common sense, 31 faithless to their promises, without natural affection, without human pity.

What leads to all these vile sins?

Refusing to worship. When we sit back, cross our arms, and shut our mouths we begin the slippery slope toward things we would never have thought of doing.

Now that you know how to backslide don’t do it! Keep on ALWAYS praising God and you will never trigger this process!

  7. 32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

When we take pleasure in the sins that Paul has listed here, we are just as guilty as those that do them. One example would be taking pleasure watching TV and movies that depict violent acts and immorality.

1Thess 5:22 Abstain from all appearance of evil.

  8. I always wondered after reading Romans 1 how any body thats a man with a man a women with a women could not see that God hates this sex sin . Its clear God gives them up to a reperbate mind and a lie is belived. fore my self when these people belive its ok to be a queer with one another they have been turned over to a reperbate and belive a lie.

  9. MORE REVIVAL

16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.

The proclaiming of the WORD of GOD is the GOD given call to every believer. Often our lives are the only WORD the lost will see. Can they see JESUS? Can they hear JESUS? Do we share the gospel (good news) of Christ with them?

As the LORD so clearly revealed to us on Sunday the Key to MORE Revival is sharing and showing evidence of the Gospel. GOOD NEWS (JESUS).

We should be willing to proudly proclaim the gospel of Christ; this is what make the church powerful to save, heal and deliver others. We don’t need another program, lecture or event. We need MORE JESUS and MORE JESUS will always reveal MORE REVIVAL for eveyone that will believe.

    iRepent
    iPraise
    iBelieve
    iPray
    iWork
    iGive
    iReap

  10. 17 This Good News tells us how God makes us right in his sight. This is accomplished from start to finish by faith. As the Scriptures say, “It is through faith that a righteous person has life.” (NLT)

    FAITH!

  11. FOOLISH IDOLATRY

Pride and Arrogance, Stubborn and Haughty, Selfish and Self-centered. Idolatry is birthed when we trust our selfish, self-centered desires. This arrogance reveals the fool in all of us.

The danger of idolatry goes much deeper than being a fool. It leads to deception and destruction.

    NIV
21 For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools 23 and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like a mortal human being and birds and animals and reptiles.

24 Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. 25 They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen.

26 Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. 27 In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error.

28 Furthermore, just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done. 29 They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, 30 slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; 31 they have no understanding, no fidelity, no love, no mercy. 32 Although they know God’s righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.

HOMOSEXUALITY is a sin according to the WORD of GOD and IDOLATRY is where it begins, stubborn, proud, arrogant, selfish people are on the path to this lifestyle who eventually REJECT GOD and everything about him. HOW then can those professing and living this lifestyle be saved?

We need MORE REVIVAL NOW and we MUST REPENT and turn our hearts, minds and souls back to GOD our maker.

I am not ASAMED of the gospel of Christ.

    • Thank you God!!
Clear our hearts and minds only on you God not on the sinful ways of this world!
Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
      Thank you Jesus!

  12. “Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools”. They perceived self as wise, whereas they were in fact unwise. When one begins to perceive self as wise, and above the word of God (Jesus) or the man of God, then one has in fact become foolish. What a mighty God we serve! Thank God for his word. God bless America, Jerusalem, and you all in Jesus name, Amen!

  13. Those are without excuse who have once known truth, and has changed truth into a lie, been deceived by their own vain glory. They were once wise in the knowledge of God, now are known as fools because they walk not after the counsel of the Lord, but their own ways, doing whatever feels good to their flesh. This chapter is a sad synopsis of how many people are in our day. Many have walked away from truth to have their ears tickled, believing they are ok, but are in for a rude awakening when judgement comes.

  14. What is in you?

15 So, as much as in me is, I am ready to preach the gospel to you that are at Rome also.

16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

Verse 15 makes me think of teaching Bible Studies-you never know what question a person may throw at you during a lesson. You find out real quick what is “in you”! I have found that the operation of the gift of wisdom & knowledge is imperative coupled with a sure foundation of the word. Without these things, how can we be a teach/witness? You can never prepare ahead of time for questions that come out of the blue-you have to rely on God and him dropping those answers into your mind so you can help someone learn His ways. So when Paul says “so, as much as is in me,” I understand that he has studied the word, prayed for the people he’s preaching to and even learned something of their background or beliefs so that he can minister to them right where they are. I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it IS the power of God unto salvation!

  15. Witnessing the destruction of a foolish man/woman.

Yes, they knew God, but they wouldn’t worship him as God or even give him thanks. And they began to think up foolish ideas of what God was like. As a result, their minds became dark and confused. (‭Romans‬ ‭1‬:‭21‬ NLT)

It’s sad to see someone you love, being destroyed by living in there own selfish desires. To know that at one time you knew The Lord, but you have decided to rebel against His Word, His Holy nature.
Nothing and No one can lead you astray from GOD. No matter how life has treated you. You are the outcome of your ways/sin.

Just the other day I said ” be careful, it is GOD that holds your life in His hand.”

  16. iLove to eat More Word

Romans 1:25 …”Who changed the truth of God into a lie”

Romans Chapter 1 is the most controversial chapter in the New Testament for the politically correct community that we currently live in.

In New Mexico, a photographer was fined for refusing to photograph the commitment ceremony of a homosexual couple. In Sweden, where same-sex marriage is legal, a pastor was sentenced to jail for one month for preaching a sermon on the biblical perspective of homosexuality as sin.

“The erosion of church rights has already started,” Miles McPherson, pastor of the Rock Church in San Diego wrote in an April commentary for the Christian Examiner.

“In Canada today, if you preach Romans 1—the most famous and clear condemnation of homosexuality—you can go to jail. If you put it on the radio you will lose your license. If they deem your speech harmful, they will judge your speech illegal.”

Barbara Bradley Hagerty, a writer for the liberal leaning NPR, explored the situation in a June article titled “When Gay Rights and Religious Liberties Clash.”

“Armed with those legal protections, same-sex couples are beginning to challenge policies of religious organizations that exclude them, claiming that a religious group’s view that homosexual marriage is a sin cannot be used to violate their right to equal treatment,” Hagerty wrote. “Now parochial schools, “parachurch” organizations such as Catholic Charities and businesses that refuse to serve gay couples are being sued — and so far, the religious groups are losing.”

    ***We Win in the End***

  17. Sin corrupts the heart mind and soul, sin is death. God is merciful to those who seek him and leave sin behind. Jesus sees the intention of the heart, it is easy to have one foot in and one foot out. Lord I pray for backsliders to come back to you.

  18. 17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith. KJV

17 God’s way of putting people right shows up in the acts of faith, confirming what Scripture has said all along: “The person in right standing before God by trusting him really lives.” MSG

    Really lives…

With faith in the Lord, comes peace over whatever circumstance we find ourselves in. Health, money, relationships, whatever… If our faith does not fail “everything” has a plan and the Lord will provide sustenance to persevere.

  19. 17 For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed—a righteousness that is by faith from first to last,[e] just as it is written: “The righteous will live by faith.”[f]
    I live by FAITH! 🙂 ❤
    NOT by sight!

  20. Romans 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel because it ius the powerof God that brings salvation to everyone who believes first to the Jew then to the gentiles. For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed a righteousness that by faith from first to last just as it is written The righteous will live by faith.

  21. 11 For I long to see you, that I may impart unto you some spiritual gift, to the end ye may be established;
14 I am debtor both to the Greeks, and to the Barbarians; both to the wise, and to the unwise.
Paul, like us, is in debt to the gospel and desires to see the bretheren to edify the church.

20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
Since Paul cannot come to them, he sends epistles with lessons for them to learn. Through correspondence they no longer have an excuse to claim ignorance. Instead, they have an opportunity to learn and grow for apostle Paul who has such a burden.

  22. Romans 1:5 Through him we have received grace and our apostleship to bring about the obedience of faith among all the Gentiles on behalf of his name. TEV

An opening of a letter to the church that goes right in to telling you the truth, not sugar coating it, not worried about being politically correct but defending the truth and word of God. Right of the start Paul speaks that grace is given to bring about the obedience of faith among the Gentiles. Like pastor said, is not permission to sin, but permission to die to sin. Praise God for the truth. Jesus is the truth of the gospel. He will always show the right paths, and the right things if we are willing to listen; he gives us grace to repent, get on the right path, and obey.

  23. 5, “By whom we have received grace and apostleship, for obedience to the faith among all nations, for his name:”
6, “Among whom are ye also the called of Jesus Christ.”

When I read this chapter, the above verses just make me so THANKFUL that He CALLED us out of darkness and into His marvellous light.

  24. 23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.
24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:
25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen

So many times we will have opportunities that will arise, and if we are not careful, we get caught up I the Babylonian lights, and will find ourselves lusting after some creature, rather than seeking the face of The Creator…Unfortunately all too often, these instances arise very subtlety, therefore we MUST guard our hearts and our thoughts, that we make sure we allow nothing to separate us from seeking His face.

  25. Exegetical insight

    Romans 1:7
to all who are beloved of God in Rome, called as saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

It is common for to leave out articles in prepositions that are translated into English as “the”. In this passage the translators add the article “the” to Jesus Christ. This would denote them as separate. While this practice is common and allowed in translating, I would leave it out.

    The Greek SBL texts states:
ἀπὸ θεοῦ πατρὸς ἡμῶν καὶ κυρίου Ἰησοῦ Χριστοῦ. Literally translated “from God our Father and Lord Jesus Christ.” By not adding the definite article “the” to the translation, we see the Oneness view. To the Oneness Pentecostal each translation differs in theological positions.

  26. Since we live in a society that is starting to condone homosexuality and people claim Jesus did not preach against it, I would like to share the following article on the subject.

I have seen this delusion consume some of my friends who were very annointed musicians. This topic is taboo in society, but it is written and stands that same sex marriage is always wrong.

    Homosexuality in the Ancient World

In Romans 1:24–32 Paul described the depravity of the Gentiles. He cited homosexuality as the prime example and proof of their reprobation. In this behavior they demonstrated the reality that rejecting God leads to a perversion of everything that is good and right. Indeed, widespread homosexuality remains irrefutable proof that a culture stands under divine judgment.
Today, however, many interpreters assert that reading Romans 1 in light of the cultural backdrop of the Greco-Roman world reveals that Paul was not really condemning homosexuality itself but was reproving a particularly lustful, promiscuous version of this sexual inclination. In other words, according to these scholars homosexuality in the context of a caring, loving relationship is not only acceptable but outside the realm of Paul’s concern.
This interpretation is based upon a distortion of what we know of ancient practices and beliefs. Homosexuality was extremely common in the Greek world and by New Testament times had become widespread in the Roman world as well. Then, as now, there were homosexual orgies, but many other varieties of homosexual behavior were practiced as well, and we cannot say with certainty that pagan homosexual behavior was strictly of the orgiastic type. Greek men often engaged in homosexual relationships with adolescent boys; many, in fact, regarded this as a coming-of-age experience. Some homosexual attraction was described in highly romantic terms; both male and female poets celebrated their love for members of their own sex (Sappho, c. 630 b.c., was the most famous poet of this genre, although the precise nature of her relationship with the women of her poems is debated). The Roman emperor Hadrian was so overcome with passionate love for a young man named Antinous that when the object of his affection drowned, the grief-stricken emperor decreed that he be worshiped as a god.
The Jews, by contrast, regarded homosexuals as by nature depraved — an attitude founded upon Biblical texts such as Leviticus 18:22. Jewish writings of this period treated homosexual activity as meriting death and damnation. Paul, far from dissenting from this viewpoint, rigorously endorsed it (1Co 6:9). It is important to note, however, that neither Paul nor his Jewish contemporaries distinguished between lawful and illicit homosexuality. For them, such a sexual preference was by nature wrong in any context.
Evidence exists that even the Greeks may have been aware that this behavior was deviant. Aristophanes, the Greek comic poet, mocked homosexual behavior (even as he employed it as a comic device). For example, in Women at the Thesmophoria he ruthlessly ridiculed the notorious homosexuality of the poet Agathon. It would be an overstatement to claim that Aristophanes opposed homosexual practice, but his comedy betrayed an uneasy conscience about such behavior within the culture he inhabited. Plato, on the other hand, in his earlier dialogues spoke approvingly of homosexual behavior. Yet near the end of his career he observed in his Laws that homosexual intercourse was widely recognized to be unnatural.

Plato regarded this behavior as one that people who seek pleasure participate in.
Whether one makes the observation lightheartedly or in all seriousness, one must observe that, when the male body unites for procreation with the female, the pleasure that goes along with this is understood to be in accordance with nature, but that when male joins with male, or female with female, it is outside the bounds of nature. This outrage was first done by people whose desire for pleasure was without self-control.

  27. 4 And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead:
5 By whom we have received grace and apostleship, for obedience to the faith among all nations, for his name:
6 Among whom are ye also the called of Jesus Christ:

Because God died for us we have recieved grace and apostleship.
    Grace- unmerited favor!
    Apostleship- to teach revelation!
So God gave each and every one of us these 2 things when he resurrected. Favor to teach his gospel!!! There is no room for timidness here because we already have the grace and like Pastor said this weekend despite all the evil things that are around us grace still abounds MORE & MORE!!!! Because we are his children we have that light that makes us so different from everyone else. Despite the many people that the devil has bounded my GOD is able to brake all those chains and give them the breathe of life. Let’s LOVE what God loves and HATE what God hates which is sin!!! THE DEVIL IS UNDER OUR FEET AND ALL WE HAVE TO DO IS RESIT AND HE SHALL FLEE!!!! 🙂 Jesus!!!! Name above all Names!!!!

  28. 1:20 From the creation of the world, His invisible attributes, that is, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what He has made. As a result, people are without excuse. (HCSB)

A note in my study bible in regards to this verse:
“Is everyone really without excuse? What about remote tribal people who never hear the gospel? This seems unduly harsh, doesn’t it? Paul was clear that no one can claim ignorance of God’s existence and power. Why? God has clearly revealed many of His attributes in the natural world, enough for people to respond in some manner. Certainly people cannot know all there is to know about God from nature. However, they can know enough for God to hold them accountable for responding to this knowledge. Paul affirmed that God will render just judgment to each person according to whatever light that person received-whether natural revelation, the Jewish law or the gospel of Christ. No scripture hints of a second chance to trust in Christ after death; equally, the NT is clear that salvation resides solely in Christ (Jn 14:6; Ac 4:12). If God is willing to go to such great lengths to reveal Himself and rescue us from sin, then surely we can be confident of His just, loving attitude toward the unevangelized.”

It is our job to continually reach out to the unevangelized so that they get the full truth, not just what is seen through nature. God’s glory is radiating around us in this world but that may not be enough for people to know who God is. They will reject Him if we don’t get out there!

1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

The Apologetics Study Bible HCSB, note on Romans 1:20

  29. Nothing New

20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

    Ecclesiastes 1:9
The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun.

Creation is not a “new thing” but the representation of the nature of God and His kingdom and principles. Everything under the sun was designed to give Him glory and reveal the unseen reality of the spiritual. Even in our everyday life, the Lord has placed before us reminders of Him, whether in the minute details of the ant or the striking expanse of the night sky.

  30. among whom you also are the called of Jesus Christ; (‭Romans‬ ‭1‬:‭6‬ NKJV)

We are all called by Jesus to spread his beautiful salvation!!

I am a debtor both to Greeks and to barbarians, both to wise and to unwise. (‭Romans‬ ‭1‬:‭14‬ NKJV)

I am in debt with those that have not heard the gospel!! It’s okay me if they don’t get a chance of salvation!!!

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. (‭Romans‬ ‭1‬:‭16‬ NKJV)

I rather be an outcast of this world and be accepted by the one true living God! And have salvation I am not ashame of his glory and what he has done in my life.

People say to me that I became all “holy” in the last months… I talk to much about God. I try to show the light to them they try their best to shut me up and make fun of what I do and the decisions I make try to hurt me with the words. Yea I used to roll with them and do what they did and they come around and try to tempt me. But it don’t effect me I give glory to God for where I’m standing. I am not ashame of Jesus!!! Never will I be the same.

  31. And the men, instead of having normal sexual relations with women, burned with lust for each other. Men did shameful things with other men, and as a result of this sin, they suffered within themselves the penalty they deserved. (‭Romans‬ ‭1‬:‭27‬ NLT)

I don’t get it…….women are beautiful. Just saying.

  32. 16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. KJV
If we are ashamed of God down here on earth he is going to be ashamed of us.

  33. The place of hopelessness

    28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

When God gives you over to your own lusts, you are done. There is no more hope.

    2 Theselonians 2:
    3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for [that day shall not come], except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
5 Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?
6 And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time.
7 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth [will let], until he be taken out of the way.
8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:
9 [Even him], whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,
10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

The thought of relying or taking advantage of the grace of God is very dangerous.

I hear all the time “God knows my heart”
This is some kind of all exhausting excuse to allow anything or any sin to be excused.

    Matthew 15:
11 Not that which goeth into the mouth defileth a man; but that which cometh out of the mouth, this defileth a man.

God knows my heart and it is made evedent by my works.

    James 2:

18 Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.

  34. 16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

Luke 9:26 For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words, of him shall the son of man be ashamed, when he shall come in his own glory and in his Father’s and of the holy angels.

  35. When we get together, I want to encourage you in your faith, but I also want to be encouraged by yours. (‭Romans‬ ‭1‬:‭12‬ NLT)

Let’s work together to lift one another up. I was reminded today that we need to show Gods love to everyone, especially those who are in pain. Encourage with love through the tests and trials. We are a family, and nothing says more than family members who love one another unconditionally…

    I love my family!

  36. more than God?

For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. (‭Romans‬ ‭1‬:‭18-25‬ KJV)

    18
God shows his anger from heaven against people who don’t believe in God (foolishness), people who don’t act right, and those who don’t tell the truth right.

    19
They things that they know, God showed them.

    20
The things that were not seen in the creation of the world are shown to them, and they are understood because of the things on Earth, even God’s reigning power and his omnipotence, so it can’t be debated:

    21
Even after all this, when the sought God they did not
describe or represent Him as admirable like God, they were not thankful: they only imagined things that were self centered, and their hearts that said there was no God lost its light (JESUS is the light of the world, thus it lost its JESUS)

    22
They were self proclaimed geniuses, that were really stupid because they were without a God

    23
They changed the high renown or honor or God’s magnificent great beauty into something that God created like people birds, animals, or bugs

    24
So God let them go to what they wanted, no longer cleaned by the washing of the blood of Christ to what ever they desired and to use their bodies in horrible ways with someone else

    25
They changed JESUS into a lie, they worshiped and did more for things created MORE than who made them, God/Jesus, who is honored, hallowed, and worshiped.

What would we really want MORETHAN GOD?
Video games, food, Internet addictions, television, movies, books/magazines, hiking, bike riding, time with things God created? These are all things talked about in this set of verses. We need to be really careful that we seek The Creator MORE than his creation.

We want MORE OF YOU God!!!

  37. 16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
the writer was not ashamed of God’s word because he knew there was power in it. He knew that the word of God was powerful and that it brings salvation. I’m thankful that we have an opportunity to be saved even as a Greek and that God allows us to experience his power

  38. Wrath of God
    Romans 1:18
In order to express His nature (holiness, truth, and justice), God must punish sin. Since personally offends God, no one should be surprised that sin makes God angry. To deny His anger is to reject the necessity of Christ’s recinciling work on the cross. God’s wrath is revealed both in nature and in the Scriptures.

Since this propitiation by Christ suffices for the whole world, there is no reason anyone should spend eternity in hell unless he voluntarily reject God’s truth.

  39. I feel like every time we sin we are just crucifying him all over again, putting him through the humiliation, the pain, and the sorrow.

  40. Verses 5-6 AMP ” It is through Him that we have received grace (God’s unmerited favor) and [our] apostleship to promote obedience to the faith and make disciples for His name’s sake among all the nations, And this includes you, called of Jesus Christ and invited [as you are] to belong to Him.” Same verses MSG “Through him we received both the generous gift of his life and the urgent task of passing it on to others who receive it by entering into obedient trust in Jesus. You are who you are through this gift and call of Jesus Christ!:” It is now a MORE urgent task than ever!

  41. New Living Translation
17 This Good News tells us how God makes us right in his sight. This is accomplished from start to finish by faith. As the Scriptures say, “It is through faith that a righteous person has life.”[h]

Build our faith on nothing less than your blood Jesus and righteousness!!!

    New Living Translation
    God’s Anger at Sin
18 But God shows his anger from heaven against all sinful, wicked people who suppress the truth by their wickedness.[i] 19 They know the truth about God because he has made it obvious to them. 20 For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God.

21 Yes, they knew God, but they wouldn’t worship him as God or even give him thanks. And they began to think up foolish ideas of what God was like. As a result, their minds became dark and confused. 22 Claiming to be wise, they instead became utter fools. 23 And instead of worshiping the glorious, ever-living God, they worshiped idols made to look like mere people and birds and animals and reptiles.

24 So God abandoned them to do whatever shameful things their hearts desired. As a result, they did vile and degrading things with each other’s bodies. 25 They traded the truth about God for a lie. So they worshiped and served the things God created instead of the Creator himself, who is worthy of eternal praise! Amen. 26 That is why God abandoned them to their shameful desires. Even the women turned against the natural way to have sex and instead indulged in sex with each other. 27 And the men, instead of having normal sexual relations with women, burned with lust for each other. Men did shameful things with other men, and as a result of this sin, they suffered within themselves the penalty they deserved.

28 Since they thought it foolish to acknowledge God, he abandoned them to their foolish thinking and let them do things that should never be done. 29 Their lives became full of every kind of wickedness, sin, greed, hate, envy, murder, quarreling, deception, malicious behavior, and gossip. 30 They are backstabbers, haters of God, insolent, proud, and boastful. They invent new ways of sinning, and they disobey their parents. 31 They refuse to understand, break their promises, are heartless, and have no mercy. 32 They know God’s justice requires that those who do these things deserve to die, yet they do them anyway. Worse yet, they encourage others to do them, too.

Thank you Jesus for your word that those who are lost in sin will want more of you and come back too you in full!!!!
Not only do we need more of YOU daily, we need to be in fullness at all times, so the enemy doesn’t have a chance to leak in.
    I love you Jesus.

  42. Also help us not to be double minded!!!
    Vs. 31 -32 NLT says
31 They refuse to understand, break their promises, are heartless, and have no mercy. 32 They know God’s justice requires that those who do these things deserve to die, yet they do them anyway. Worse yet, they encourage others to do them, too.
    Thank you Jesus
