Romans 5

1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:

2 By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

3 And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;

4 And patience, experience; and experience, hope:

5 And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.

6 For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.

7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die.

8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.

10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.

11 And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.

12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:

13 (For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law.

14 Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam’s transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come.

15 But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.

16 And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offences unto justification.

17 For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)

18 Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.

19 For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.

20 Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:

21 That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.

  1. Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:

    Pastor reciently taught on this! Grace is great. It is when we miss it but God chooses to help us anyway. It is a chance to get closer to the Lord. Anytime we receive Grace it should draw us to JESUS, not allow us to stay in our messed up place longer.

  2. For if by the one man’s offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.) (‭Romans‬ ‭5‬:‭17‬ NKJV)

    Because of one mans sin he caused this world to see pain, death but also with another but greater man. This world knows of a love that is always there and never failing. Second chances is given to us through him. Thank you Jesus.

  3. 8, “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
    9, “Much MORE then, being now justified by his blood, WE SHALL BE SAVED from wrath through him.”
    10, “For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much MORE, being reconciled, WE SHALL BE SAVED by his life.”

    Much MORE, WE SHALL BE SAVED!
    JESUS today YOU will SAVE me!!

  4. 19 For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.
    20 Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:
    21 That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.

    By one man we die in sin of disobedience ADAM and by another Man we are brought back to repentance Christ Jesus who gave His very last drop of blood so you may live again out of sin.
    This gift is yours for the taking. All you have to do is 1. recognize you are a sinner
    2. repent with a heavy heart truly ask God to forgive you from the deepest part of your heart.
    3. teach others so they may have the same opportunity . In Jesus Name.

    Philippians 1:21 For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.

  5. “But HE loved me anyway.”

    When we were utterly helpless, Christ came at just the right time and died for us sinners.

    But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners. (‭Romans‬ ‭5‬:‭6, 8‬ NLT)

    As I think of His true unconditional love that The Lord has shown and given me daily, my mind at times can’t seem to comprehend it, and my heart knowing is undeserving. It brings me to tears to know that it definitely is true. A sinner saved by HIS grace.

  6. Romans 5:8 But God commendeth is his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, christ died for us.

    Because Jesus died for everyone, Christians should take the message of the gospel to “every creature”

    Mark 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every ceature.

    Preach the gospel MORE and MORE! !!!

  7. iLove to eat More Word

    More Abundant
    Romans 5:20 (NLT) God’s law was given so that all people could see how sinful they were. But as people sinned more and more, God’s wonderful grace became “more abundant”.

    more abundant in the KJV is “abound”

    Abound#G5248
    ὑπερπερισσεύω
    huperperisseuō
    hoop-er-per-is-syoo’-o
    From G5228 and G4052; to super abound: – abound much more, exceeding.

    There’s really no excuse with God. It doesn’t matter where we came from or what neighborhood we are from, the worse the circumstances will trigger more grace. Whether someone is incarcerated,lives in the 5th ward of Houston, or lives in a mansion on top of the hill, nothing can stop God’s Grace.

  8. Romans 5:6
    For while we were still helpless, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly.

    This is the hope we have. As sinners who are justified through faith we can rest assured in out salvation. We know that we are the elect by out obedience to the word.

    God knows us if we are in an intimate relationship with him. Intimacy in God is an homest relationship that aims to please him. We know we please him by keeping his commandments.

    Loving others like he loves and loving him above all else. We repent, put on his name in baptism, receive his Spirit and live righteously by faith and in love.

  9. 1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.

    Holy Ghost

    By faith we have Jesus living in us. HALLELUJAH!
    By faith we have been redeemed .
    By faith we have food, rainment, shelter, money.
    By faith we have our families healthy and healed.
    By faith we are victorious.

    Thank you Jesus for teaching us to have faith by reading ,hearing and seeing YOU in our lives. I love YOU Jesus. What a wonder we have in JESUS.

  10. 1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:

    2 By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

    I thank God for His Grace that we are standing in! Without it, there would be no hope, but with it we have peace with God and reason to rejoice!

  11. MORE LOVE

    3 And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;
    4 And patience, experience; and experience, hope:
    5 And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.

    Understanding the PURPOSE of trouble is much more valuable than understanding the trouble. We often have trouble in our lives that is undeserved, uninvited and unmerited. This is where satan attempts to make us feel that GOD does not love us. BUT, GOD is revealing through us HIS purpose: to develop patience, experience and hope.

    We experience GOD’s love when we are FULL of the Holy Ghost. In the Spirit is where GOD reveals HIS purpose for our lives and embraces us with HIS unchanging, endless love.

    As we grow in the SPIRIT and FILLED daily with the Holy Ghost, we KNOW GOD more intimately and experience HIS love through the comforting of HIS Spirit.

    MORE LOVE is revealed and expressed through MORE Holy Ghost.

    iRepent
    iPraise
    iPray
    iWork
    iGIve
    iReap

  12. 3 And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;

    4 And patience, experience; and experience, hope:

    5 And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.

    Sometimes we wonder why tough times and trouble happens in our lives, but we have to remember that God has a purpose for everything. He lets us go through these rough patches in our lives because he knows if we let it, it helps us to build patience and character. And this in turn helps helps to give us hope and faith.

    So just remember to be patient through your tribulations in your life, God is watching to see what you will do, are you gonna make the right decision? Or are you gonna let your little problems be bigger than our God who is bigger than everything? The choice is up to us.

  13. 19 For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.
    20 Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much MORE abound

    Because of Adams disobedience we were all made sinners but because God didn’t want us to die in sin he died for us!!! All those beatings that he took for us only signifies love towards us not to be ignorant but have everlasting life with Him!!!! But whoever is OBIDIENT many are made righteous!!!!!
    Righteous-in a wide sense, upright, righteous, virtuous, keeping the commands of God
    like Pastor said in his preaching even though there is so much sin in this world, Gods grace still abounds MORE & MORE!!!

  14. 3 And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;

    4 And patience, experience; and experience, hope:

    This is the circle of life for a mature believer. Good things come to those who wait and believe in God.

    Psalms 37:9 For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the LORD, they shall inherit the earth.

  15. 3 And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; 4 And patience, experience; and experience, hope:

    Learning to be thankful for trials and tests in our lives is not easy, but we do have HOPE that it is teaching us patience to wait for HIS timing and experience to share down the road to others.

    If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.

    1. My hope is built on nothing less, Than Jesus’ blood and righteousness;
    I dare not trust the sweetest frame, but wholly lean on Jesus’ name.
    On Christ, the solid Rock, I stand; All other ground is sinking sand.

    2. When darkness veils His lovely face, I rest on His unchanging grace;
    In every high and stormy gale, My anchor holds within the veil.
    On Christ, the solid Rock, I stand; All other ground is sinking sand.

    3. His oath, His covenant, and blood, Support me in the whelming flood;
    When every earthly prop gives way, He then is all my Hope and Stay.
    On Christ, the solid Rock, I stand; All other ground is sinking sand.

    4. When He shall come with trumpet sound, Oh, may I then in Him be found,
    Clothed in His righteousness alone, Faultless to stand before the throne!
    On Christ, the solid Rock, I stand; All other ground is sinking sand.

  16. 17 For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)

    It just took 1

    It took 1 man’s sin to set all man’s eternally on the wrong path. It took 1 man’s sacrifice to eternally change the course. It will also take one man to decide to change the world through revival. One man’s revival can bring revival yo the masses. It just takes 1!

  17. so that just as sin reigned in death, so also grace will reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. -Romans 5:21 NET

    The grace that God gives reigns in our lives as we keep his commandments. If we love him we will keep his commandments.

    And the LORD commanded us to do all these statutes, to fear the LORD our God, for our good always, that he might preserve us alive, as it is at this day. -Deuteronomy 6:24
    And it shall be our righteousness, if we observe to do all these commandments before the LORD our God, as he hath commanded us. -Deuteronomy 6:25

  18. Put Together

    8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

    John 14:16
    And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;

    That word “commendeth” means “to place together, to set in the same place, to bring or band together,” and the word “Comforter” means “summoned, called to one’s side, esp. called to one’s aid.” Romans 5:5 teaches: And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us. More than just suffering the cross for the atonement of our sins, Jesus fulfilled the commending of His love towards us in the outpouring of His Spirit. He offers not just temporary comfort but to be put together within us in a continual outpouring of His love. As we drink of those Waters of salvation, we refresh ourselves in the flow of God’s love that makes us whole, as another part of the definition of “commendeth” implies: “to put together, unite parts into one whole.” It is a wholeness that describes how God and God alone makes us complete and makes us new no matter how damaged sin has left us when we came to Him.

  19. vs-3
    We can rejoice to when we run into promblems and trials we know they are good for us they help us learn to be strong and patient.
    Fore myself i have learned vs 3 very well in 2014 through promblems and trials God has been there and been very alsome.

  20. 8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

    9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.

    While we were yet sinners, God made a way for us to escape from sin! God is such a merciful God and while we were out sinning and being disobedient he still has the ability to love.

    Most people live on the fact that God is a good God and he will not send anyone to hell. God has made a way for man to escape, but we must come to him and take advantage of his grace. We obey Acts 2:38 and all scriptures that lead us to God.

  21. 3 And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;

    4 And patience, experience; and experience, hope:

    I always heard to never pray for patience because then the lord would give you something to try your patience. But we are all born into tribulation and trouble.

    Job 14:1 Man that is born of a woman is of few days, and full of trouble.

    All God wants us to do is learn from the mistakes we make, then learn from others mistakes so that we don’t have to make them yourself, then finally learn from the success of the perfect example Jesus. When we put all those things together we are more than overcomers we are conquerors. When tribulation comes we can rest in our relationship with the one that made us. Knowledge comes from experience or impartation. We have to get it both ways. God and men can impart to us but only we can experience for ourselves. So we shouldn’t run from tribulation rather welcome it because we know that knowledge is on its way.

  22. We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation. (‭Romans‬ ‭5‬:‭3-4‬ NLT)

    We should not take our problems and trials as a punishment but as a blessing, God is trusting us with these things to help us grow in Him. Praise Him in the good times as well as the bad! Glory

  23. 19 For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.

    What does our actions cost? If you don’t have anyone and I mean anyone who you don’t know then the price is very little. But all of us have at least one person that we at least like. Therefore the cost is always great. No matte if it’s good or bad. One person can haven’ta n effect on thousands. Why do we think we are any different. The shot heard round tree world started the revolutionary war. One action can change a life. So the question again is what price are you willing to pay?

  24. 19 For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.

    20 Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:

    21 That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.
    Thank you God for your love; that willingness to humble yourself into man, to reconcile us unto you! Thank you Lord for your grace; because of that grace, we are considered righteous even though we are undeserving. Thank you Lord!

  25. 1. Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:

    3 And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;

    4 And patience, experience; and experience, hope:

    5 And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.

    Our modern day definition of peace is absent of war. However the peace of God is manifested in not just the good times but also the rough times.

    How can we have peace during the cycles of tribulation that works patience?

    True peace comes from total surrender to God. When we let him rule, and reign we have peace. The pressures and stress of this life are in his hand. We can walk in confidence and sleep like a baby at night even when going through hard times.

  26. 8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

    9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.

    Thank you Lord for your blood that washes my sisns away. Thank you for your salvation.

  27. 9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.

    Godi is in control, he makes a way when there is no way. Thank you Lord for your love and mercy.

  28. 3 And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;

    4 And patience, experience; and experience, hope:

    5 And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.

    Everyone that prays for patience, prays for tribulation because without tribulations there is no patience.

    James 1:2-3
    2 My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;
    3 Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.

    So let us not blame God or gripe or whine or be surprised when temptations come out way, but rejoice knowing God is at work in our hearts.

  29. Verses 9-10 AMP ” Therefore, since we are now justified ([f]acquitted, made righteous, and brought into right relationship with God) by Christ’s blood, how much MORE [certain is it that] we shall be saved by Him from the indignation and wrath of God. For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, it is much MORE [certain], now that we are reconciled, that we shall be saved (daily delivered from sin’s dominion) through His [[g]resurrection] life.” Verse 15 AMP “But God’s free gift is not at all to be compared to the trespass [His grace is out of all proportion to the fall of man]. For if many died through one man’s falling away (his lapse, his offense), much MORE profusely did God’s grace and the free gift [that comes] through the undeserved favor of the one Man Jesus Christ abound and overflow to and for [the benefit of] many.” Verse 17 AMP “For if because of one man’s trespass (lapse, offense) death reigned through that one, much MORE surely will those who receive [God’s] overflowing grace (unmerited favor) and the free gift of righteousness [putting them into right standing with Himself] reign as kings in life through the one Man Jesus Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One).” Verse 20 “But then Law came in, [only] to expand and increase the trespass [making it MORE apparent and exciting opposition]. But where sin increased and abounded, grace (God’s unmerited favor) has surpassed it and increased the MORE and superabounded,”. MORE is MORE is MORE is MORE is MORE is Jesus!

  30. Romans 5:18 consequently just as one trespass resulted in codemnation four all people so also one righteous act resulted in justification and life for all people. For just as though the disobedience of the one man the many were made sinners so also though the odedience of the one man the many will be made righteous.

  31. 21 That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.

    More grace! More grace for more righteousness. More righteousness, more favor, more souls. We have more grace so that we can do more & reach more.

  32. We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation. And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love. (‭Romans‬ ‭5‬:‭3-5‬ NLT)

    This scripture allows us to look at our problems and trails differently. Instead of wanting to run away, we should allow it to develop endurance, strength of character and hope of our salvation.

  33. v8 But God commenteth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

    GOD IS LOVE!!! HE demonstrated such love as the world has never known. Likewise, we should extend the love of GOD to others.
    Had it not been for sacrifice of Calvary to pay the debt to bridge the gap between GOD and mankind.
    There is HOPE JESUS CAN Save and Change your life.

  34. What a beautiful chapter to describe Our God! These verses really show how wonderful and great our God is!!!
    How merciful and miraculous God is to show His love over abundantly.
    Verse 20 is clearly spoken of how wonderful God truly is, THANK YOU JESUS FOR YOUR GRACE!!!…AMP vs.20 But then Law came in, [only] to expand and increase the trespass [making it more apparent and exciting opposition]. But where sin increased and abounded, grace (God’s unmerited favor) has surpassed it and increased the more and superabounded,

    Romans 5: 3-8, 15, & 19-21 Amplified Bible (AMP)
    3 Moreover [let us also be full of joy now!] let us exult and triumph in our troubles and rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that pressure and affliction and hardship produce patient and unswerving endurance.
    4 And endurance (fortitude) develops maturity of [c]character (approved faith and [d]tried integrity). And character [of this sort] produces [the habit of] [e]joyful and confident hope of eternal salvation.
    5 Such hope never disappoints or deludes or shames us, for God’s love has been poured out in our hearts through the Holy Spirit Who has been given to us.
    6 While we were yet in weakness [powerless to help ourselves], at the fitting time Christ died for (in behalf of) the ungodly.
    7 Now it is an extraordinary thing for one to give his life even for an upright man, though perhaps for a noble and lovable and generous benefactor someone might even dare to die.
    8 But God shows and clearly proves His [own] love for us by the fact that while we were still sinners, Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One) died for us.

    15 But God’s free gift is not at all to be compared to the trespass [His grace is out of all proportion to the fall of man]. For if many died through one man’s falling away (his lapse, his offense), much more profusely did God’s grace and the free gift [that comes] through the undeserved favor of the one Man Jesus Christ abound and overflow to and for [the benefit of] many.

    19 For just as by one man’s disobedience (failing to hear, [k]heedlessness, and carelessness) the many were constituted sinners, so by one Man’s obedience the many will be constituted righteous (made acceptable to God, brought into right standing with Him).
    20 But then Law came in, [only] to expand and increase the trespass [making it more apparent and exciting opposition]. But where sin increased and abounded, grace (God’s unmerited favor) has surpassed it and increased the more and superabounded,
    21 So that, [just] as sin has reigned in death, [so] grace (His unearned and undeserved favor) might reign also through righteousness (right standing with God) which issues in eternal life through Jesus Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One) our Lord.

    Thank you Jesus you are wonderful to me!! I love you.

  35. 18 Yes, Adam’s one sin brings condemnation for everyone, but Christ’s one act of righteousness brings a right relationship with God and new life for everyone. 19 Because one person disobeyed God, many became sinners. But because one other person obeyed God, many will be made righteous.

    One. What if your ONE choice effected everyone?
