Romans 15

1 We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves.

2 Let every one of us please his neighbour for his good to edification.

3 For even Christ pleased not himself; but, as it is written, The reproaches of them that reproached thee fell on me.

4 For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.

5 Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded one toward another according to Christ Jesus:

6 That ye may with one mind and one mouth glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

7 Wherefore receive ye one another, as Christ also received us to the glory of God.

8 Now I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God, to confirm the promises made unto the fathers:

9 And that the Gentiles might glorify God for his mercy; as it is written, For this cause I will confess to thee among the Gentiles, and sing unto thy name.

10 And again he saith, Rejoice, ye Gentiles, with his people.

11 And again, Praise the Lord, all ye Gentiles; and laud him, all ye people.

12 And again, Esaias saith, There shall be a root of Jesse, and he that shall rise to reign over the Gentiles; in him shall the Gentiles trust.

13 Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.

14 And I myself also am persuaded of you, my brethren, that ye also are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, able also to admonish one another.

15 Nevertheless, brethren, I have written the more boldly unto you in some sort, as putting you in mind, because of the grace that is given to me of God,

16 That I should be the minister of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, ministering the gospel of God, that the offering up of the Gentiles might be acceptable, being sanctified by the Holy Ghost.

17 I have therefore whereof I may glory through Jesus Christ in those things which pertain to God.

18 For I will not dare to speak of any of those things which Christ hath not wrought by me, to make the Gentiles obedient, by word and deed,

19 Through mighty signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God; so that from Jerusalem, and round about unto Illyricum, I have fully preached the gospel of Christ.

20 Yea, so have I strived to preach the gospel, not where Christ was named, lest I should build upon another man’s foundation:

21 But as it is written, To whom he was not spoken of, they shall see: and they that have not heard shall understand.

22 For which cause also I have been much hindered from coming to you.

23 But now having no more place in these parts, and having a great desire these many years to come unto you;

24 Whensoever I take my journey into Spain, I will come to you: for I trust to see you in my journey, and to be brought on my way thitherward by you, if first I be somewhat filled with your company.

25 But now I go unto Jerusalem to minister unto the saints.

26 For it hath pleased them of Macedonia and Achaia to make a certain contribution for the poor saints which are at Jerusalem.

27 It hath pleased them verily; and their debtors they are. For if the Gentiles have been made partakers of their spiritual things, their duty is also to minister unto them in carnal things.

28 When therefore I have performed this, and have sealed to them this fruit, I will come by you into Spain.

29 And I am sure that, when I come unto you, I shall come in the fulness of the blessing of the gospel of Christ.

30 Now I beseech you, brethren, for the Lord Jesus Christ’s sake, and for the love of the Spirit, that ye strive together with me in your prayers to God for me;

31 That I may be delivered from them that do not believe in Judaea; and that my service which I have for Jerusalem may be accepted of the saints;

32 That I may come unto you with joy by the will of God, and may with you be refreshed.

33 Now the God of peace be with you all. Amen.

  1. 13. Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.

    abound:
    verb
    1. to occur or exist in great quantities or numbers:
    2. to be rich or well supplied
    3. to be filled; teem

We that have the Holy Ghost should allow God to fill us with all (MORE) joy and peace until we are teeming with hope through the power of the Holy Ghost that is within us.

  2. 13 Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.

If we abound in hope and are filled with this joy and peace that only God can bring through the power of the Holy Ghost. This is the ultimate goal in living for God, is for us to be filled with joy and peace. This joy and peace will take us to the next level in living for God and that is bringing the fruit of the spirit to God.
Our faith must be high for us to reach this place, we must have this faith to live for God successfully.
All things from God come through the power of the Holy Ghost.

  3. 12 And again, Esaias saith, There shall be a root of Jesse, and he that shall rise to reign over the Gentiles; in him shall the Gentiles trust.

Praise the Lord that we are able to worship and trust in Jesus and be saved and have become one of his chosen.

  4. 1 We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves.

We work for God it’s not about us it’s about Jesus and getting others to him we have to carry other people sometimes to get them to Jesus.
It’s like 2 men in battle one is injured and the other one is not and so he begans to carrys him to a safe place the one carrying the hurt man gets no benfit out of this but he cares about the other man In times in our lives we will have to do the safe carry the hurt one the weak ones to Jesus to hope.

  5. 1 Those of us who are strong and able in the faith need to step in and lend a hand to those who falter, and not just do what is most convenient for us. Strength is for service, not status. 2 Each one of us needs to look after the good of the people around us, asking ourselves, “How can I help?” 3 That’s exactly what Jesus did. He didn’t make it easy for himself by avoiding people’s troubles, but waded right in and helped out. “I took on the troubles of the troubled,” is the way Scripture puts it. MSG
We (I) need to be sensitive of the ones around us when they are in need. Sometimes they just need a hug or a kind word. Sometimes its that person sitting next to you on your pew. When we see a brother/sister down ask them how can you help. Yes sometimes you are going to get someone that is just a leach but sometimes there is that one person that is struggling and needs prayer. Remember to pray for your (our) church daily and for our Pastor and Sis Watts and the leaders, elders of the church. We as a whole can help out our Pastor and Sis Watts by being sensitive to the needs of others around us and being there for them by lending a helping hand. God help us to be sensititive your voice today. I feel sometimes that is why we lose souls from the church is we get caught up with something else and ourselves and we don’t notice the one sitting beside us is slowing slipping out of the church. It’s time we all look around and be there for our brother/sister.

  6. 24 Whensoever I take my journey into Spain, I will come to you: for I trust to see you in my journey, and to be brought on my way thitherward by you, if first I be somewhat filled with your company.

This proves to me that it is not just reading the bible, it is how we read it, and why we need to continue reading it. You see I have always made it my desire to read the bible from top to bottom as many times as I can since I first believe. I committed to heart to memorize as much scripture as I could. I have taught numerous bible studies since I first believed in 1982. I believe that God will reveal to you different things every time. It is His way to keep us interested in His word. Every time you read it something new will pop out. Today, my new thing was that Paul visited Spain. As many times as I have read it I must of just glanced through it and never noticed, but PRAISE GOD!!! I noticed today. So don’t worry if you don’t get all of it every time, or if you just get the gist of it, just make sure you keep reading for God will continue to reveal His Wonderful Word to you bit by bit. Well, why did I get so excited about Spain because my great grandparents from my mothers side are from Spain. You see I believe that once a seed is planted it will give fruit no matter what, it may take years centuries but it will give fruit. In our family there was only one aunt that was Pentecostal and she took me to church every summer I spent with her, I never got interested, and never paid attention so I thought; but a fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. That seed never gave fruit until 1982. For God’s Promises are ALWAYS YES AND AMEN.

  7. Romans 15:8-12 Since God’s purpose has been to unite both Jew and Gentile into one body, diverse convictions and practices in doubtful matters should give way to harmony and unity. Paul quotes from the psalms (18:49; 117:1), the Law (Deut.32:43), and the Prophets (Is.11:1, 10) to show that this unity has always been God’s plan.

And in that day there shall be a root of Jesse, which shall stand for an ensign of the people ; to it shall the Gentiles seek : and his rest shall be glorious.

  8. Paul gives us solutions wher the strong and weak our bound together. The strong are obligated to take the initiative. They do this by what is most helpful and upbulding to the weakrather than insisting on there own rights that they might please themselves.

  9. MORE HOPE

13 Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.

I am thankful for the clarity and simplicity of the BIBLE. By following a few principals we as believers have access to the unlimited resources of GOD.

To name a few of those principals:

    1. FAITH IN GOD
    2. OBEDIENCE TO THE WORD OF GOD
    3. PRAYING IN THE HOLY GHOST

The resource Paul identified here is HOPE which is connected to Expectation, Peace and Joy. We are able to ABOUND or possess MORE HOPE.

ABOUND – : to be present in large numbers or in great quantity : be prevalent

4052. perisseuo, per-is-syoo´-o; to superabound (in quantity or quality), be in excess, be superfluous: — (make, more) abound, (have, have more) abundance (be more) abundant, be the better, enough and to spare, exceed, excel, increase, be left, redound, remain (over and above).

The antidote to doubt, discouragement and fear is HOPE. The source of MORE HOPE is JESUS through the Power (dynamos) of the Holy Ghost.

Don’t just tell the LORD JESUS what you need today, allow JESUS to tell your need today that HE is the source of JOY, PEACE and MORE HOPE by Praying in the SPIRIT of JESUS the Holy Ghost.

    MORE PRAYER = MORE HOPE
MORE HOLY GHOST = MORE HOPE

    iRepent
    iPraise
    iPray
    iWork
    iGive
    iReap

  10. Romans 15:13 (NLT)
I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.

    MORE Hope!
    MORE Joy!
    MORE Peace!

  11. I wish you would let me have a bad day

    Romans 15:13 (KJV Strong’s)
13 Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.

    Romans 15:13 (The Message)
13 Oh! May the God of green hope fill you up with joy, fill you up with peace, so that your believing lives, filled with the life-giving energy of the Holy Spirit, will brim over with hope!

    I heard this statement before.

“I wish you would let me have a bad day”

My ears perked up and I thought “no I can’t do that.” As children of God we are told many times in the scripture that hard times, storms, and trials are not sent with the purpose of causing anxiety, depression, worry, doubt, or fear.

James 1:2-3 (Amplified Bible – AMP)
2 Consider it wholly joyful, my brethren, whenever you are enveloped in or encounter trials of any sort or fall into various temptations.
3 Be assured and understand that the trial and proving of your faith bring out endurance and steadfastness and patience.

    1 Peter 1:6 (KJV Strong’s)
6 Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations:

Matthew 5:10-12 (Wuest – The New Testament: An Expanded Translation)
10 Spiritually prosperous are those who have been persecuted on account of righteousness, because theirs is the kingdom of heaven. 11 Spiritually prosperous are you whenever they shall revile you and persecute you and say every pernicious thing against you, speaking deliberate falsehood on account of me. 12 Be rejoicing and exult exceedingly because your reward is great in heaven. For in this manner they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

I don’t believe we have the right to just have a bad day. If we let our circumstances control our attitudes, and determine our happiness we will find ourselves living less of the life God wants for us.

Paul writes the words in Romans 15:13 as a prayer, and a blessing upon them. He isn’t saying this as a farewell like the word goodbye but as an impartation of the Holy Ghost.

13 Now the God of hope (confidence, expectation) fill (cause you to abound) you with all joy (cheerfulness, gladness) and peace (wholeness, free of anxiety, and care) in believing (your daily walk of reliance, trust and obedience), that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.

  12. 1 We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves. 2 Let every one of us please his neighbour for his good to edification. KJV

I have found being sensitive to the needs of those around me and praying for their needs; whether known or unknown, has brought me closer to the Lord than when I am praying for my own needs. There is a type of transfer of burden from the ones that in the trial to me when I truly connect with that person. Maybe it is within me that I place myself in their situation. I have learned that I have the ability – when I want to – to place myself into others situations. I try to think “how would this affect me, how would I feel if this were happening to me”.

I can then pray for this person and feel a deeper burden for their need. I can then more earnestly pray for resolution, peace or simply patience while God works things out for these peoples in need. I wonder if others do this when praying for people. When ministers, evangelists, etc… pray for people and they are visibly moved/burdened when praying for them; are they assuming a bit of the persons burden or are they conducting the Spirit of the Lord into the person or persons situation?

1-2 Those of us who are strong and able in the faith need to step in and lend a hand to those who falter, and not just do what is most convenient for us. Strength is for service, not status. Each one of us needs to look after the good of the people around us, asking ourselves, “How can I help?” MSG

  13. 21 But as it is written, To whom he was not spoken of, they shall see: and they that have not heard shall understand.
16 That I should be the minister of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, ministering the gospel of God, that the offering up of the Gentiles might be acceptable, being sanctified by the Holy Ghost.

Paul was sent to minister the gospel to the Gentiles, to nations that knew nothing of God. To build up nations that may have only known laws and stories of God. They have never been taught the gospel, much like the blind man Jesus healed when he spat on his eyes. Memory may not be their, but they will hear and see and understand. Gentiles will build faith, and memory.

  14. 13 Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.

14 And I myself also am persuaded of you, my brethren, that ye also are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, able also to admonish one another.

We should rejoice in the salvation of the Lord. The fruits if the spirit should be evidential our lives that people would know there is something different an out us and are drawn to us because of it, because of Jesus. The joy of the Lord is our strength and when we our strong we can help carry our brother’s burdens because we are one body.

  15. Selfless JESUS came down and have up is life for us so that we can be forgiven. Never once thoughts of backing out of what his father had plans for us. The least we can do is show the grace and the love that he showed us just by simply helping each other out when we see that each of us is struggling. Strengthen each other.

    Brothers in war.

  16. 7 Wherefore receive ye one another, as Christ also received us to the glory of God.

Hallelujah! See how Christ sees! For as we have read who are we to judge one another? God loves us all the same therefore we ought to love how He loves! No matter what people might be going through or how they come in through the church doors we are going to receive them with love, joy and compassion. Everybody needs Jesus!!!! They need to know that there is a God that is all mighty, powerful, everlasting, savior that died for us on the cross but that ROSE and is ALIVE and that He can give us the breathe of life. This is one of the reasons why I fell in love with POFW because of the way Pastor makes us have that conviction in treating the guests like royalty. Something I had never seen in church! I am blessed to be part of this church because we know what our mission and purpose is as the body of Christ! Thank you Jesus for the unity!

  17. 1 We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves.

Some are weak in mind, some are weak in spirit, some are weak in knowledge. Those that are strong must be sensitive to those that are week. My prayer during the week of fasting was for God to strengthen people physically, spiritually and emotionally. Some are strong physically but spiritually and emotionally they are a wreck. Our world in itself is very dysfunctional and the enemy will use that tool against people in their minds causing them to believe that they can’t live victorious, they can’t live for God, they can’t be a leader, they can’t be an overcome, they are too weak. But God has created all of us to be whole and complete in Him. He gives us the ability to become emotionally, physically and spiritual whole to that we can bear someone else up who is weak until they become whole.

  18. vss. 6-7 That ye may with one mind and one mouth glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Wherefore receive ye one another, as Christ also received us the glory of God.

There is only one church…… regardless of location, city, nation, race, or nationality.( That’s GOD’S PEOPLE THE BRIDE OF CHRIST. )
The scriptures encourage us to work together in unity and fellowship with other congregations that are nearby.
HIS TRUE CHURCH is open to all people without discrimination or favoritism.
HIS CHURCH IS TO COME WITH EXCITEMENT AND JOY.” I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the Lord” Psalm 122:1

    MORE JOY
    MORE PEACE
    MORE POWER
    MORE UNITY

  19. 30 Now I beseech you, brethren, for the Lord Jesus Christ’s sake, and for the love of the Spirit, that ye strive together with me in your prayers to God for me;

    31 That I may be delivered from them that do not believe in Judaea; and that my service which I have for Jerusalem may be accepted of the saints;

32 That I may come unto you with joy by the will of God, and may with you be refreshed.

What man can live without prayer?  Here we see a great humbling example of one of the apostles.  We all need prayer and we all need to pray for each other.  There is no Lone Ranger.  We are all the body of Christ our savior.  How ever big or small you may be, we all know we need of the power of prayer, a petition or supplication to God for the saints.   I believe prayer keeps us in constant communion and relationship with God and each other, the body the church.   We need to pray especially for those in authority over us.  Lifting up their hands and praying God’s will and anointing over their lives that it may flow down to us and the may lead in all matter of the things of the Kingdom.  We must pray for the new believers that they may be rooted and strong and those that are weak in an area that we may all have victory as a whole.

1 Thessalonians 5:17New American Standard Bible (NASB)

    17 pray without ceasing;

    James 5:16

Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

  20. 1 We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves. 2 Let every one of us please his neighbour for his good to edification.

Personally I struggle with being compassionate, especially when “I” think they “know” better. Only God knows the true strength or lack there of, in the people around us.

    1. Deny Ourselves.
As a true disciple we aren’t here to please our needs.

Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. – Matthew 16:24

    2. Please Others.
    A true disciple serves.

Let every one of us please his neighbour for his good to edification. Romans 15:2

    3. Serve Him.
A true disciple lives to serve God.

If they obey and serve him, they shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures. Job 36:11

  21. 1 We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves.
2 Let every one of us please his neighbour for his good to edification.

    Be strong for one another.

Why do we help others. Is it to appease our conscience and know we did something right? Or was to genuinely help someone that was in need and we were there at the right time to help? As we read here. It should be the latter of the two. We need to do good to others to show Gods love. If we truly want to be used of God. Then why don’t we help others like we should. Even in our churches we fail to see the hurt in others, because we are so caught up in ourselves. What would happen if we were to help one another like it states here and how Jesus showed us? Would there be more unity? Would we have true healing services in our assemblies? Not just a physical healing but a mental healing. It’s a fact that in science there is a correlation from the mental to the physical. The mental state of ones mind has a direct response to the physical body. So it would be safe to say then that once we have the mental healing that the physical healing can take effect. This could be a reason why when Jesus healed someone that he first told them that their sins were forgiven. The mental state changed for them. Then they receive the physical response of the healing. This is why we must help those in need to simply help those in need. Because it changes their mental state that says someone cares about me enough to stop and help/heal me.

    MORE Healing

  22. Romans 15:17 therefore I glory in Christ Jesus in my service to God. I will not venture to speak of any thing except what Christ has accomplished though me in leading the Gentiles to obey God by what I have said and done by the power of sings and wonders though the power of the Spirit of God.

  23. 3 Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.

It is important that we see in this scripture that our hope, joy and peace come through the power of the Holy Ghost and not from the ‘things’ of the world. This scripture was given to me during a very low point in my life and walk with God: the Lord spoke this verse to me letting me know that the circumstances of life do not control my happiness, peace and joy…but rather it is ALL from HIM! Praise God for the Holy Ghost!

  24. Listen to the saints of God ….

I pray today that I will listen to the saints of God first before I listen to the world. They have God’s word in thier heart. And most importantly they are filled with God’s spirit.

Thank you Jesus. For filling me with your Holy Spirit and talking to me daily. Love You Jesus.

  25. Romans 14:4 For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the Scriptures might have hope.

All things written in this book were inspired by God and are meant to give us hope. We just have to learn it , live it, and Love it, because it is the key not only to eternal life but to our regular lives, When we are going through problems, tribulations, temptations, desperation, anxieties, hurt, and you name it. All we have to do is open his word and we will find the answer to our particular situation. Herb. 4:12 For the Word of God is quick and powerful, and sharper than any to edged sword, piercing even to the deciding asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerned of the thoughts and intents of the heart. There is no problem, situation, sickness, etc. to big for our God. Thank You God for Your Word!!
    MORE WORD!

  26. Romans 15:13
We who are strong ought to bear with the failings of the weak and not to please ourselves.

Some of as are strong in many aspects in life and we also are weak in other areas. I think we all have to have a open mind and love for those in need in there weakness by encouraging each other with the word of God to strength our faith in Jesus Christ and our walk in the ways of the Lord that we may all have a compassion for the lost and the weak.
    MORE compassion!!!

  27. “We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves.” Paul was essentially emphasizing more. Jesus (God) gave more; how much more could one give then one’s life. One (I) must grasp the vision God (Jesus) placed on the man of God, just as he did Paul, even more as the return of the Lord (Jesus) approaches. What a mighty God we serve! Thank God for his word. God bless America, Jerusalem, and you all in Jesus name, Amen!

  28. Bearing those with little faith

    Romans 15:1-3
    Self-denial on Behalf of Others
Now we who are strong ought to bear the weaknesses of those without strength and not just please ourselves. Each of us is to please his neighbor for his good, to his edification. For even Christ did not please Himself; but as it is written, “The reproaches of those who reproached You fell on ME.”

Anyone who is weaker in something than we are should be approached with our love and help. Modern day examples are peoples convictions. If someone has a conviction that you dont share, you should aupport them and not do what they are convicted about in front of them. This is a sign of spiritual maturity.

  29. I love to eat more word

    More boldness

15 Nevertheless, brethren, I have written the more boldly unto you in some sort, as putting you in mind, because of the grace that is given to me of God,

AMEN, what we need in this world is more boldness. Paul is writing to the Church and he says, “I had to write unto you more boldly”. Preachers today want to tickle folks ears and they want to beat around the bush. I thank God, that we have a pastor who tells us the truth. It is the truth that is going to set us free.

And pray for me, too. Ask God to give me the right words so I can boldly explain God’s mysterious plan that the Good News is for Jews and Gentiles alike. I am in chains now, still preaching this message as God’s ambassador. So pray that I will keep on speaking boldly for him, as I should. (‭Ephesians‬ ‭6‬:‭19-20‬ NLT)

With the truth, comes a price but also a great reward.

  30. We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves. Let every one of us please his neighbour for his good to edification. For even Christ pleased not himself; but, as it is written, The reproaches of them that reproached thee fell on me. (‭Romans‬ ‭15‬:‭1-3‬ KJV)

One thing I noticed about the 7 day fast last week, was I was so sensitive to the needs of others beside being concerned about my own needs. I was kind of shocked by this, I was at work and some of the women were sharing some of there situations with me, and I was ready to help, to pray, and to encourage with the word of The Lord.
It is true what they say ” take care of others, and The Lord will take care if yours.
I know the question stands for me as today.
“Michelle, do you love me? Life isn’t about me, but, it’s about reaching for others.

  31. Through the power of the Holy Ghost…..

    “More Power”……………….”Holy Ghost”……….

13 Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.

We need his power, joy & peace……….

  32. 1 We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves.

2 Let every one of us please his neighbour for his good to edification.

Spreading the word and teaching the word to others pleases God. Lord give us the strength, wisdom, knowledge and understanding we need to do your will and not ours.

  33. 3 For even Christ pleased not himself; but, as it is written, The reproaches of them that reproached thee fell on me.

Our life is not our own, but when we give our lives to God, we then live for him. So let’s not think about ourselves and our problems and think about God and what God wants us to think about, which is his kingdom and bringing people to him so that he can save them

  34. 13 Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.

14 And I myself also am persuaded of you, my brethren, that ye also are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, able also to admonish one another.

  35. 4 For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.
5 Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be like-minded one toward another according to Christ Jesus:
6 That ye may with one mind and one mouth glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
7 Wherefore receive ye one another, as Christ also received us to the glory of God.

It is imperative that we remain united as the body of Christ being like-minded. We struggle to operation on our own; we will fall. That is why God gave us fellowship with our brothers and sisters, functioning and glorifying together, testifying God’s goodness to the world. Discord is tempestuous and dangerous; when we are accountable to our brothers and sisters since we are in the same body, and placing our faith in God, we are over-comers of discord. Stand firm in our beliefs!

  36. 23 But now having no more place in these parts, and having a great desire these many years to come unto you;

Paul has no more place to call his home. As we look for more and more ways to serve, we too will find that we have no place, of this world, which we call home. The word tells us that we are not of this world…

  37. Afar Off

21 But as it is written, To whom he was not spoken of, they shall see: and they that have not heard shall understand.

The call to reach those “afar off” is more than just a call to reach the lost. I believe it can pertain to us as it did the Jews in that their “afar off” came to also include the Gentiles and Samaritans; those afar off to us may be the people who are so culturally different from us that we wouldn’t normal interact with them casually. We cannot ignore to call to reach those afar off, even if it means going outside our comfort zone.

    Acts 2:38-39
38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.

  38. 33 Now the God of peace be with you all. Amen.

What this scripture tells me is that my God gave everyone of his children peace, peace is the effect of righteousness, and the practice of truth and justice. Peace means to me that peace can only be achieved by opening one’s self to God’s will and purpose. One way to get peace is to achieving something or striving towards something you want by opening your true self and giving yourself to Gods will and purpose!! In Jesus Name Amen !!!

  39. 1 We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, …

Often time we miss the message behind a low place in our lives. When we get to that low place not if but when, we have to train ourselves in the Holy Ghost to overcome. When we are tried or tempted we have to take the oppritunit and make the best of it.

  40. Verses 1-2 MSG “Those of us who are strong and able in the faith need to step in and lend a hand to those who falter, and not just do what is most convenient for us. Strength is for service, not status. Each one of us needs to look after the good of the people around us, asking ourselves, “How can I help?” We as a body of Christ must step into this role, for we don’t know when the roles may change and we might be the person in need! We are blessed to be a blessing.

  41. 32)That I may come unto you with joy by the will of God , and may with you be refreshed.
33)Now the God of peace be with you all.Amen.

  42. 30 Now I beseech you, brethren, for the Lord Jesus Christ’s sake, and for the love of the Spirit, that ye strive together with me in your prayers to God for me;

There is power in unity. Something happens when we come together to pray. We must not forsake the assembly of ourselves together. Our prayers are able to change things. All we have to do is believe that God is able to do exceeding, abundantly, above all we could ever ask or think.

  43. Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost. (‭Romans‬ ‭15‬:‭13‬ KJV)

More hope through the holy ghost! Amen!!

  44. God of Patience!!!! 5. Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded one toward another according to Christ Je’-sus: 6. That ye may with one mind and one mouth glorify God, even the father of our Lord Je’-sus Christ. 7. Wherefore receive ye one another, as Christ also received us to the glory of God. Rom. 5 : 2 I LOVE YOU JESUS !!!!
