1 Corinthians 13

1 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.

2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.

3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.

4 Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,

5 Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;

6 Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;

7 Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.

8 Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.

9 For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.

10 But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.

11 When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.

12 For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.

13 And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.

  1. LOVE is what is being spoken of in this chapter. Who is LOVE? But, our GOD……………….

    “LOVE”…………………….

  2. Verse 13 MSG “But for right now, until that completeness, we have three things to do to lead us toward that consummation: Trust steadily in God, hope unswervingly, love extravagantly. And the best of the three is love.” Same verse AMP “And so faith, hope, love abide [faith—conviction and belief respecting man’s relation to God and divine things; hope—joyful and confident expectation of eternal salvation; love—true affection for God and man, growing out of God’s love for and in us], these three; but the greatest of these is love.” Sometimes we may not understand or see the whole picture as God sees it; but, enduring in love will bring us one day to that completeness in Him. For verse 7 NLT says “Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.” Rise up, don’t give up….encourage someone today and be encouraged!

  3. 8. Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.

    9. For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.

    10. But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.

When God returns for His Bride, there will no longer be a need for prophesy or tongues, but His love will be showered on us for all eternity!

  4. 1 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.
13 And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.

Charity, the greatest of the gifts of God. Charity is needed in a child of God if we are to survive in this war that we are in with the enemy. We need faith and hope to live for God successfully, but to accomplish what we need to accomplish as soul winners we must be able to love people under any circumstances.
God reaches out with love to all generations and we must reach out also with love to see them change. We as the church must reach out without a schism in the body, if we can love one another with a perfect heart of love we can be successful
    in our walk with God.

  5. 4 Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,

    5 Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;

    6 Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;

7 Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.

This describes what love really is. We say we have love but does it show up when we are dealing with people on a daily bases! We need to be mindful of how we treat others and ask ourselves is this the way I would want to be treated or would I talk to Jesus this way!! We are a representative of our church and a child of God, we have to have charity living in us at ALL times!!

  6. iLove to eat More Word

    More Love
Todays blog is focusing our attention on Love. Yes, that sounds simple and the word is overused in our society in general, but with the help of today’s blog we will learn true love.

Paul lists all the spiritual gifts of the Spirit in this chapter. What does that mean? It means at least 2 things. One is a person can operate in the spiritual gifts outside of love. Just because we speak in tongues doesn’t mean we love. If we have the gift of giving and give our last penny, that doesn’t mean we are doing it out of love. In fact, Jesus says in Matt. 7:21 “Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.” The word “wonderful works” means miracles.

So, we glean from this chapter that you can have all the gifts of the Spirit and yet lack love…

Jesus said “If ye love me keep my commandments.”

I ask my children on a continual basis, “Do you love me…” “Yes daddy we love you.” “Then keep my commandments.”

  7. More personal growth

When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things. (‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭13‬:‭11‬ KJV)

In the kingdom of God we all have to come as little children. We act like children who are seeking Ayer God. But the expectation is that at some point you grow up. You have to build your faith–that’s a grown up thing. You have to pray for others–grown ip thing again. So many other things.

  8. 9 For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.

10 But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.

We may only know part now but our faith lies in God and he knows all. How excellent will it be when after enduring until the end we can see how things unfolded through our faith!

  9. 9 For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.

Oh what a Glorious Day it will be, when My Savior I get to see. When His eyes will look upon me with The Love of Eternal life. Oh what Joy and Rejoicing that will be when His Holy Hands will embrace me with His Love!!!! HIS LOVE IS THE GREATEST LOVE, THE PUREST LOVE, A LOVE THAT CAN NOT BE COMPARED. Do you think that you are in love then read this if that person does not act this way IT IS NOT LOVE!!!!!!

  10. More Love

8 Love never fails [never fades out or becomes obsolete or comes to an end]. As for prophecy ( the gift of interpreting the divine will and purpose), it will be fulfilled and pass away; as for tongues, they will be destroyed and cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away [it will lose its value and be superseded by truth].
    (1 Corinthians 13:8 AMP)

12 For now we are looking in a mirror that gives only a dim (blurred) reflection [of reality as in a riddle or enigma], but then [when perfection comes] we shall see in reality and face to face! Now I know in part (imperfectly), but then I shall know and understand fully and clearly, even in the same manner as I have been fully and clearly known and understood [ by God].
    (1 Corinthians 13:12 AMP)

God is love. He is the only one capable of loving the way that he does. There is a special word for the way God loves. This is the word agapeo.

Agape means ἀγάπη agapē 116x love, generosity, kindly concern, devotedness
    ( MED)

This kind of love is not based on what we can do for each other. This love goes much deeper. This love loves expecting nothing in return, and regardless of what we do. This is unconditional love.

Yet the word says if we don’t love with this agape love we are simply wasting our time.

So how do we love with the love God loves with?

By surrendering to him. People know that we love him when we keep his commandments. When we love him, and he fills us with his spirit then we can love others with his love. We get our flesh out of the way and walk in the spirit to love this way. His love through us to others will follow the example here in 1 Corinthians 13. We will love with his love when we produce the fruit of the spirit.

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
    (Galatians 5:22 KJVStrongs)

This is agape love. Our daily connection to the flow of his spirit will cause us to begin to love people with his unconditional love. A love like that pings high on the human radar. A love like that will draw people to our King, and Savior Jesus Christ.

We love as humans can, but when we submit to the Spirit we love with MORE love, God’s love!

  11. 3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.
Paul in this verse was showing just how important love is. That even if you were willing to make the ultimate sacrifice and had not love the is no profit. This is a extreme example of how important love is in the church especially in today’s modern society

  12. 12 For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
13 And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.

  13. MORE LOVE

13 And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.

The Apostle Paul here reveals the qualifications to operate in the Spiritual Gifts; FAITH, HOPE, LOVE. All 3 Kingdom cultures are necessary to please the LORD and operate in HIS POWER in the Kingdom.

Seldom does the WORD of GOD place emphasis on one Kingdom principal over another. However we glean from this chapter that the ole spirit of pride had risen up in the church over some spiritual gifts. We in the Apostolic Pentecostal church where Spiritual Gifts are encouraged to operate are tempted in the same manner.

Simply because one person operates in a Spiritual Gift and another does not, gives no place or reason to think or act as if one is better than another. Paul is through the WORD of GOD leveling the playing field as they say; revealing that all people are created equal in the sight of GOD and every soul has an eternal choice to make and the LOVE of GOD is what draws mankind to GOD, not Spiritual Gifts.

In our quest for MORE in 2015 let us not lose sight of what is most important to GOD and HIS Kingdom. MORE LOVE. The endtime harvest is to be carried on the wings of LOVE from GOD through HIS Church.

  14. More Love

10 But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.

This chapter is the chapter of love. It is sad to find yourself at a place in life where your doing a lot but not really giving enough. You fail to slow down and show others how much you love them.

People are was concerned with how busy you are than how much you love them. Today let us make it our goal to show more love.

  15. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. (‭I Corinthians‬ ‭13‬:‭2‬ NKJV)

I can be blessed by God and have all theses amazing talents but if I don’t the the simply act of love then my talents is a waste. I want to be a good leader and to lead you have open up for opinions and we have to love the ones following us. Spend time and just live people appreciate and encourage. Inspire through love. That’s how i want to change people’s lives.

    True love:

Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; (‭I Corinthians‬ ‭13‬:‭4-5‬ NKJV)

Love looks out for others. Never prideful nor gives up easily. Is not rude.

  16. Ignorance is bliss…

11 When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.

The older I get and the more mature in Christ I become, more is expected of me. When I trip and fall down, I cannot lay there and whine and wait for my mommy to come and pick me up and tend to my hurts. I have to pick myself up, clean up, warn others of the tripping hazard and carry on. Parenting is both fun and horrible at the same time. As a father I instruct my children to do not do this and that. They become angry or their feelings get hurt as that was not the answer they were looking for. Sometimes I tell them, I am telling you no because I am a mean father who does not love his children.
Sometimes, this statement will highlight the fact that I am not enjoying the decision but it is for their benefit.

  17. 3-7 If I give everything I own to the poor and even go to the stake to be burned as a martyr, but I don’t love, I’ve gotten nowhere. So, no matter what I say, what I believe, and what I do, I’m bankrupt without love. (MSG)

As human beings we have an instinct to love. We are made to love, it’s simple. MORE Love!

  18. 13 And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity

If you define the word charity, it says it means, kindness and tolerance in judging others. It also says love of humankind, typically in a Christian context: Faith, hope, and charity. Us as Christians are suppose to show love and kindness to everyone, but are we? We must be slow to anger show Gods love everywhere we go!!

  19. Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,

    5 Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;

    6 Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;

7 Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.

These verses are our example on how we are to love-suffer long with one another & refrain form getting angry and bitter with each other; don’t be jealous or prideful! Don’t take any advantage over someone because of their godly love for you; don’t think of it in the wrong way! These are all great words of wisdom for on loving one another-both do’s and don’ts.

  20. Without love I am nothing.

Here we see the resounding message of the NT, motive. Our motives must be done by love and nothing else. This is our our righteousnesd exceeds the pharisees. God is love. May the love of Christ be our motives in all we do.

  21. MORE Love

13 And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.

I could have highlighted this whole chapter. This chapter is called by some the Love chapter. Every time we see charity in this passage it is better translated in our language to be Love.

Love is the only gift of the Spirit that is not mentioned in the previous chapter of Corinthians. It is a gift that is not just for some but has been given to all. It is the only gift that we can truly operate in with Godly perfection.

9 For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.

God is the only one who can know everything or prophesy all. He is the only one that is truly full of his Spirit.

But we have this gift of Love.

    1 John 2:
5 But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.

We are now finding out how God perceives Love.

    Love is obedience.

    John 3:16

16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

    Revelation 12:
11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

How does this scripture fit what I’m saying?

    Philippians 2:

1 If [there be] therefore any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any bowels and mercies,
2 Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, [being] of one accord, of one mind.
3 [Let] nothing [be done] through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.
4 Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.
5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

MORE obedience displays the MORE love of Christ

  22. 1 “THOUGH I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, and a tinkling cymbal.”
2 “And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I can remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing..
3 “And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth. me nothing.”
13 “And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.”

What we need is MORE Charity, MORE Love!

  23. “Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.” The Lord (Jesus) gave an example of true charity with his sacrifice, for all. One that wants to be like him will also have love for others. What a mighty God we serve! Thank God for his word. God bless America, Jerusalem, and you all in Jesus name, Amen!

  24. I Corinthians 13:1 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.

2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.

3 and though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me not.

We can all have spiritual gifts and work for His kingdom. Paul is saying we can be the perfect Christians and can operate in the church and do great things in the Lord, but without love it’s for nothing. God wants us to have and display His love to everyone, because if we use our gifts with love being the main ingredient, it is more impactful and God is honored. MORE LOVE!

  25. 2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.

Wow! We can have the greatest gifts but if we do not have LOVE we are NOTHING! Because GOD is LOVE!!! Without love we will never love the things that Jesus loves! Strive for love, not spiritual gifts! Yes it’s beautiful to have spiritual gifts but without love our gifts are nothing!
13 And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.
Help me Jesus to love how you love! I want to be more and more like you Jesus!!!!

  26. 1 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.

Above all things I want to love like Jesus loved, showing the love of Christ alone is more than enough to compel a soul. Teach me Lord to love what you love and to love how you love in Jesus name

  27. v13 And now abideth faith , hope, charity, and these three; but the greatest of these is charity .

Genuine love, therefore, is not tainted by selfishness. We cannot separate loving GOD from loving our brother in Christ.
Therefore love is following the LORD without comparing our lot with our brother.
More LOVE moving forward in faith and obeying
    HIS WORD.

  28. LOVE ❤️

If I speak with human eloquence and angelic ecstasy but don’t love, I’m nothing but the creaking of a rusty gate. If I speak God’s Word with power, revealing all his mysteries and making everything plain as day, and if I have faith that says to a mountain, “Jump,” and it jumps, but I don’t love, I’m nothing. If I give everything I own to the poor and even go to the stake to be burned as a martyr, but I don’t love, I’ve gotten nowhere. So, no matter what I say, what I believe, and what I do, I’m bankrupt without love. Love never gives up. Love cares more for others than for self. Love doesn’t want what it doesn’t have. Love doesn’t strut, Doesn’t have a swelled head, Doesn’t force itself on others, Isn’t always “me first,” Doesn’t fly off the handle, Doesn’t keep score of the sins of others, Doesn’t revel when others grovel, Takes pleasure in the flowering of truth, Puts up with anything, Trusts God always, Always looks for the best, Never looks back, But keeps going to the end. (‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭13‬:‭1-7‬ MSG)

I can’t say that I love without showing it. As we all know your actions speak louder than words! If I say I’m a Christian, LOVE should shine through at all times!!

  29. 13 If I speak with human eloquence and angelic ecstasy but don’t love, I’m nothing but the creaking of a rusty gate.
2 If I speak God’s Word with power, revealing all his mysteries and making everything plain as day, and if I have faith that says to a mountain, “Jump,” and it jumps, but I don’t love, I’m nothing.
3-5 If I give everything I own to the poor and even go to the stake to be burned as a martyr, but I don’t love, I’ve gotten nowhere. So, no matter what I say, what I believe, and what I do, I’m bankrupt without love.
We can do anything. We can believe and say whatever, but with out love we are nothing! We may have faith, and are living right with God but will out love none of that matters! God I want everlasting love to all people that I would love then as I love you! 🙂 ❤

  30. This chapter is called the love chapter, or charity chapter. As we read this we see that with out love we are nothing. Love is it. It’s where it’s at.
The dictionary says this about charity. 2 a :generosity and helpfulness especially toward the needy or suffering; also :aid given to those in need
This is where I want to focus on the aid given to those in need. Love will cost us something. If we think about it even the love of a person will cost us time and money. The greatest cost is life.
Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. (‭John‬ ‭15‬:‭13‬ KJV). This is why the greatest cost is life. Jesus has the greatest love. But we to can show this love. How you might ask? By telling others about the love of Jesus and what he does for people in their lives. The greatest cost that anyone will do for them. Lay down their life so that they may have eternal life.

  31. 4 Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,

    5 Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;

    6 Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;

7 Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.

    Love never fails………enough said 👪

  32. 1 Corinthians 1-13

13 And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.

If I excelled with brilliancy in every language of the world, and if I had excellencies in the five-fold ministry mentioned in Ephesians 4:11, if I had excellence in any God given ministry; ministry of helps, ministry of giving, ministry of ushering, etc., AND I DON’T HAVE CHARITY (UNCONDITIONAL LOVE) that God requires of me, then I amount to nothing in God’s eyes.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

For God so Agaped (Charity) the world… Meaning God so loved the world unconditionally that He came all the way from Heaven down to die on the cross for our sins. This unconditional love is not for us to embrace upon Saints only, but the unsaved as well. As Saints, we should have the mind of Christ, thus the reason for our canvassing neighborhoods on Saturdays, compelling men to come, as revealed in Matthew 28:19.

As long as I keep my eyes on Him and look full into His wonderful face, the things of earth will grow strangely dim in the light of His glory and grace! If my eyes are fixed on Jesus, I can’t help but to show Charity or Agape love to my fellow brothers and sisters in Christ, and to the world.

  33. to speak in tongues and have all the fruits of the spirit and to have great faith, but not love…. means all you have is nothing.

funny thing to say but, it is the same with baking! baked goods made without love, Just don’t taste right… but if you back with love, one word, Yum! the perfect combination!

  34. 1corinthians 13:8 love never fails. But where there are prophecies they will cease where there are tongues they will be stilled where there is knowledge it will pass away. For we know in part and we prophesy in part but when completeness comes what is in part disappears. Wheniwada child I talked like a child I thought like a child I reasoned like a child. When I became a man I put the wazys of childhood behind me for now we see only a reflection as in a mirror then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part then I shall know fully even as I am fully known. And how these three remain faith hope love. But the greatest of these is love.

  35. 2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.

3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.

We could study the bible for years and memorize thousands of scripture, being an expert on anything in the bible. But if we do not show it in our actions, if we do not show Christ’s love, and his compassion for others then it is worth nothing.

Many things in life can get us caught up and we can forget the simple things such as loving each other, and performing small acts of kindness toward other people, such as opening the door, saying excuse me or thank you, offering a kind word to someone in need or helping out people when we see their need instead of just walking by.

Don’t let the circumstances of life, prevent you from showing love to people.

  36. 6 Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;

What this scripture tells me is that love does not delight in evil but what are God wants is us to rejoice with truth in are hearts. We should always rejoice for the things we get from are God because that shows that we are not greedy with what we have in are lives, we should be greatful for what we get from are God and rejoice and be happy in it !!! In Jesus Name!!

  37. 1 John 4:8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
John 15:13 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

God has given us a manual, How-to book for dummies, if you will, on how to treat people in the world. He showed us first by example, then again in a letter. We are called to love one another, not judge, condemn, bash, etc. We should be a walking billboard of God’s redeeming love.

  38. 1 Corinthians 13:13
And now this three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these of these is LOVE.

    In another words:
We must do everything with LOVE.
Pray for one another with Love
    Help one another with Love.
    Talk about someone with Love.
Talk to your friends, family, neighbors with Love.

I can name more in the list
If we do anything in life and we do it with love
we will not only Glorify God, but we can also gain more positive results.

  39. Perfect

Love provokes us to change. It does not leave us stagnant but leads us to change that we would grow and mature. The object of love is completion, and it is in God’s love that we are made perfect.

    1 John 4:18-19
18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.

19 We love him, because he first loved us.

  40. 13 And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.

Of all these the greatest is love. Love can not be bought . God loves everyone. It’s through his love that shines on us that makes it possible for us to love others .

Thank you Lord for your unconditional love.

  41. If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. 2 And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. 3 If I give away all I have, and if I deliver up my body to be burned,[a] but have not love, I gain nothing.

We know that God is love. If we are all is this that the apostle speaks about in the the first verses we can plug in the word God for Love. If am all this and do all this and have all this faith but have not God, I really am nothing. Simply put, without God I am nothing.

1 John 4:8New International Version (NIV)

8 Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love..

  42. Oh how we need the love of God. God’s love surpasses everything else. Love is great because there is so much power in it. Love can cause you to do some Interesting things. God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son. His love is the only way to make it to heaven.

  43. 6 Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;

Test what love you have operating in your life, when I was in the world, I rejoiced with the things of the world because I had not known love. When people would seek for me to bring me back to His feet, it would make my heart ache to hear truth.
If we only knew what His love could do within us if it freely operated we could impact this world.
    More Love = More Jesus

  44. And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. (‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭13‬:‭2‬ ESV)

What good is the gifts of the Spirit without first possessing the fruit of the Spirit? My desire is to possess all the fruits of the Spirit, that of God should lead a person that wouldn’t need love, joy or long-suffering I would be ready to share that fruit with them. After receiving the Holy Ghost and being Led by the Spirit. It matters not what are natural characteristics are or what is in our family bloodline. Being led by the Spirit changes and frees us from our natural characteristics and our bloodline.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. (‭Galatians‬ ‭5‬:‭22-23‬ ESV)

  45. 13 And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.

Faith hope and charity are important characteristics in the life of Christians. But one attribute is given more recognition than the other two because hope and faith are no good, if we do not possess charity towards one another.

We can perform many acts of selflessness, but if we do not have charity/love, they mean nothing.

1 Peter 4:8 And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins.

  46. Charity !!!! 11. When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things. 12. For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known. 13. And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity. I LOVE YOU JESUS !!!! I HONOR YOU !!!! YOU ARE WORTHY!!!!!

  47. 8 Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.

The one sure thing we can depend on not to fail is love. Not only will God’s love never fail, having love one to another is not to fail either. To accomplish Gods will on this earth it takes his love for people. We must see people through his eyes of love and know he has a plan for their lives.
