1 Corinthians 15

1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;

2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.

3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;

4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

5 And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve:

6 After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep.

7 After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles.

8 And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time.

9 For I am the least of the apostles, that am not meet to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.

10 But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.

11 Therefore whether it were I or they, so we preach, and so ye believed.

12 Now if Christ be preached that he rose from the dead, how say some among you that there is no resurrection of the dead?

13 But if there be no resurrection of the dead, then is Christ not risen:

14 And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain.

15 Yea, and we are found false witnesses of God; because we have testified of God that he raised up Christ: whom he raised not up, if so be that the dead rise not.

16 For if the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised:

17 And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins.

18 Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are perished.

19 If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.

20 But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept.

21 For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.

22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.

23 But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ’s at his coming.

24 Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.

25 For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet.

26 The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.

27 For he hath put all things under his feet. But when he saith all things are put under him, it is manifest that he is excepted, which did put all things under him.

28 And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all.

29 Else what shall they do which are baptized for the dead, if the dead rise not at all? why are they then baptized for the dead?

30 And why stand we in jeopardy every hour?

31 I protest by your rejoicing which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily.

32 If after the manner of men I have fought with beasts at Ephesus, what advantageth it me, if the dead rise not? let us eat and drink; for to morrow we die.

33 Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.

34 Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame.

35 But some man will say, How are the dead raised up? and with what body do they come?

36 Thou fool, that which thou sowest is not quickened, except it die:

37 And that which thou sowest, thou sowest not that body that shall be, but bare grain, it may chance of wheat, or of some other grain:

38 But God giveth it a body as it hath pleased him, and to every seed his own body.

39 All flesh is not the same flesh: but there is one kind of flesh of men, another flesh of beasts, another of fishes, and another of birds.

40 There are also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial: but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another.

41 There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars: for one star differeth from another star in glory.

42 So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption:

43 It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power:

44 It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.

45 And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.

46 Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual.

47 The first man is of the earth, earthy; the second man is the Lord from heaven.

48 As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly.

49 And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.

50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.

51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,

52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.

54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.

55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?

56 The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.

57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

  1. So you see, just as death came into the world through a man, now the resurrection from the dead has begun through another man. Just as everyone dies because we all belong to Adam, everyone who belongs to Christ will be given new life. But there is an order to this resurrection: Christ was raised as the first of the harvest; then all who belong to Christ will be raised when he comes back. (‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭15‬:‭21-23‬ NLT)

    Thank you JESUS !!!!

  2. But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace toward me was not in vain; but I labored more abundantly than they all, yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me. (‭I Corinthians‬ ‭15‬:‭10‬ NKJV)

I am who I am only because of Gods love for me. Only he loved me enough to keep believing in me and giving me life cause he knows he could have killed me. But he didn’t he had s plan for me. So he kept me from harm and keept me save and put me on solid ground!

For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. (‭I Corinthians‬ ‭15‬:‭53‬ NKJV)

Once we die and go to heaven we put down all sin and are able to live with Jesus in heaven. We will never die! Never die!

Can’t wait for the glorious day.

  3. 50. Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.

    53. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.

God’s kingdom is an incorruptible, spiritual kingdom. If we have only been born in corruptible flesh, we will never see it. To inherit His spiritual kingdom, we have to be born again in His Spirit and continue to draw closer to Him, shunning everything that would corrupt us.

  4. Verse 10 AMP “But by the grace (the unmerited favor and blessing) of God I am what I am, and His grace toward me was not [found to be] for nothing (fruitless and without effect). In fact, I worked harder than all of them [the apostles], though it was not really I, but the grace (the unmerited favor and blessing) of God which was with me.”

Verse 31 AMP “[I assure you] by the pride which I have in you in [your [e]fellowship and union with] Christ Jesus our Lord, that I die daily [I face death every day and die to self].”

Verse 58 AMP “Therefore, my beloved brethren, be firm (steadfast), immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord [always being superior, excelling, doing more than enough in the service of the Lord], knowing and being continually aware that your labor in the Lord is not futile [it is never wasted or to no purpose].” Same verse CEV “My dear friends, stand firm and don’t be shaken. Always keep busy working for the Lord. You know that everything you do for him is worthwhile.”

These verses make me want to “Shout, Hallelujah, thank you Jesus” as we sang last night, for God is with us. If we will only pray for His will, His way and die (“self”) daily, we can stand firm and not be shaken. We can, You can do MORE for the service of the Lord and know that nothing you do for the Lord is ever useless as verse 58 in the NLT says.

  5. 10 But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.

By God’s grace and mercy we are all what we are today. He gives us wisdom and strength to spread the word to others so they too may experience his grace.

  6. 51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,

52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.

We all look forward to that day when we all shall be changed from this corruptible to incorruptible. I do not know exactly what our body will be like, but I know we will be like him.
So all pf POFW let’s keep living for for God and put on that new body!

  7. 57, “But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.”
58, “Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.”

God has given us the Victory over death. One day, the trumpet shall sound, and this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. The labour and work that we have done for the kingdom of God will not be in vain for we shall be rewarded.

So, let’s labour MORE abundantly and ALWAYS abound in the work of the Lord.

  8. Baptism in Jesus name!

42 So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption:

43 It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power:

Jesus is the only one by his own power that was raise from the dead. But he also raised others from the dead. When I was dead in sin and I went down in the baptismal waters in his name I was then raised up in his likeness. I was sown in corruption and put on his name to be raised in incorruption. I was sown in dishonor and raised up in his glory. I was sown weakness and rises up in his power.

47 The first man is of the earth, earthy; the second man is the Lord from heaven.

When we are raised in his likeness we become a new being. Washed and cleansed, no longer unworthy. But accepted because of the blood that was applied. Heavens door opened because of the name that we take on.

Thank God for The truth being taught!

  9. 19 If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.
I wonder sometimes how people go thru life without Jesus. Yes we hear everyday from co-workers,friends, etc I’m a christian but are their lives producing the fruit that shows they are Christ like? I couldn’t imagine my life with Jesus with all he has done for me and my family.
    Know Jesus Know Hope
    No Jesus No Hope

  10. 48 As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly.

49 And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.

    Thy kingdom.

We become what we partake in. Do we choose to be earthly? Of this world? So bear we that image. Or do we choose to be holy, partaking in heavenly things? Bringing the kingdom of heaven unto earth and bearing that image? our choices now show what kingdom we serve.

  11. 52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed

There is coming a day were in a instant everything will change. God will change our biological make up and our mortal fleshy bodies will be totally transformed forever. No more sickness, no more pain, no more years hallelujah! I can’t wait for that day…

  12. More GODLY friends

    1 Corinthians 15:33 (KJV Strong’s)
33 Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.

1 Corinthians 15:33 (Wuest – The New Testament: An Expanded Translation)
33 Stop being led astray. Evil companionships corrupt good morals.

    1 Corinthians 15:33 (Amplified Bible – AMP)
33 Do not be so deceived and misled! Evil companionships (communion, associations) corrupt and deprave good manners and morals and character.

Friendships are choices. We should be friendly to all but selective in our friendships. When we fellowship with someone we tend to take on some of their attributes, and social habits.

Many people tend to act like those that they are around. If we are not careful we can unknowingly set ourselves up for failure by surrounding ourselves with immoral friends.

The story of Lot shows how our environment can almost cost us our souls.
The influence of others caused some to miss out on the upper room experience.
The influence of people caused Herod to boast against God and be eaten by worms.
The influence of the Philistine women on Samson led to a loss of power, and eventually took his life.

We must be careful who we allow into our inner circle. Our close friendships should always be with people who will encourage our walk in God, challenge us, and if needed help us to see when the bridge is out.

We become what we surround ourselves with; whether it be people, entertainment, amusement, location, and experience these all shape our lives into who we will become.

  13. 1 Corinthians 15:58
Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

    1 Corinthians 15:58 NIV
Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.

    I was told a few day ago…
” Every time I want to invited you to go out with us, you can’t because you have to go to church” why are you taking church so seriously?”

My response was because I want MORE of God.

Some of us have different callings in ministry’s
as we all work for the Lord as one body.
sometimes we can get discourage, it can get hard at times, even some of us might give up for many reasons.
As I was reading this verse, I began to think of my past labor for the Lord, and how easy it was for me to get discourage and give up so easy.
I was doing all of the work with my own strength, meaning: I didn’t had the Holy Ghost in me, I did the work of God with my own knowledge, my own thinking. So my work was in vain.

What I learn today is that we need to stand firm in the Lord, have knowledge of his word, so that when discourage, trials comes to our lives NOTHING can move us.

    1 Corinthians 3:9
For we are God’s fellow workers…

Let us ALWAYS give ourselves fully to the work of the Lord.
some people might not understand our commitment to God and why we have a full schedule on weekends, but I rather be working for the Lord and filled with the Holy Ghost, then spend my weekends in vain.

    MORE labor!

  14. 22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.

The moment Adam and Eve sin, we were all dead in the eyes of God by their sins. FOR THE WAGES OF SIN IS DEATH. Rom 6:23 On the other hand, it is by Christ Death and Resurrections that we are given Life and more abundant Life EVERLASTING!!! John 10:10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. John 11:25 Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:

Why remain in the death of sin, when you have the option to receive LIFE, EVERLASTING LIFE. 2 Cor 6:2 (FOR HE SAITH, I HAVE HEARD THEE IN A TIME ACCEPTED, AND IN THE DAY OF SALVATION HAVE I SUCCOURED THEE: BEHOLD, NOW IS THE ACCEPTED TIME; BEHOLD, NOW IS THE DAY OF SALVATION.)
    .

  15. But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ! So then, dear brothers and sisters, be firm. Do not be moved! Always be outstanding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.
    ( 1 Corn. 15: 57-58 NLT)

It can be easy to get discouraged, and to think your labor is in vain.

    VAIN: Producing no result, useless.

When working in the church its easy to get discouraged, when you are doing all you can and still see no results. Yet this is where we have to work in faith and remember God’s Word.

    Philippians 2:16 (KJV)
Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain.

Remember we are a BLESSED People!

    Isaiah 65: 23-24
23 They will not work in vain,
and their children will not be doomed to misfortune.
For they are people blessed by the Lord,
and their children, too, will be blessed.
24 I will answer them before they even call to me.
While they are still talking about their needs,
I will go ahead and answer their prayers!

Thank you Jesus for continually reminding us of your love!

  16. v57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

THANKS BE TO GOD with GOD NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE. Every one of us will face the judgment seat of CHRIST at the final judgment
We should choose everlasting life through obedience to GOD’S PLAN for our redemption.

    MORE Obedience
MORE HOPE BEYOND THIS TEMPORARY World.

  17. iLove to eat More Word

    More Work
58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

“Always abounding in the work of the Lord”

    Abounding #G4052
    περισσεύω
    perisseuō
    per-is-syoo’-o
From G4053; to superabound (in quantity or quality), be in excess, be superfluous; also (transitively) to cause to superabound or excel: – (make, more) abound, (have, have more) abundance, (be more) abundant, be the better, enough and to spare, exceed, excel, increase, be left, redound, remain (over and above).

It’s time for us to abound in the work of the Lord. If you notice the above definition, you will see the word “MORE” many times. That’s what abound means…We must abound in the work of the Kingdom.

    Get up and Work!

Proverbs 6:6-11 You lazy fool, look at an ant.
Watch it closely; let it teach you a thing or two.
Nobody has to tell it what to do.
    All summer it stores up food;
    at harvest it stockpiles provisions.
So how long are you going to laze around doing nothing?
How long before you get out of bed?
A nap here, a nap there, a day off here, a day off there,
sit back, take it easy—do you know what comes next?
Just this: You can look forward to a dirt-poor life,
    poverty your permanent houseguest!

  18. MSG – 1-2 Friends, let me go over the Message with you one final time— this Message that I proclaimed and that you made your own; this Message on which you took your stand and by which your life has been saved. (I’m assuming, now, that your belief was the real thing and not a passing fancy, that you’re in this for good and holding fast.)

We must know what we believe, rehearse it in our minds, keep it in close to our hearts that we might not sin against God. The Plan of salvation should never grow old, neither should the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. It is the heritage and foundation of what we stand on.

  19. MORE GRACE

10 But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.

I am what I am in Christ JESUS only by his Grace. Often we are tempted to become puffed up, proud or arrogant over what GOD has done or how GOD has BLESSED our lives with HIS Favor.

We must forever remember that it is the GRACE (Favor) of GOD that we are what we are in HIS Kingdom. We must work while we can to fulfill HIS Kingdom in the earth, while maintaining that we are nothing without JESUS and we can do nothing without JESUS.

We must not allow HIS GRACE to be in vain in our lives, we accomplish MORE GRACE by Loving GOD and Loving others. That we may reveal to the LORD that HIS GRACE is NOT in vain in our lives.

Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done in JESUS name.

    MORE GRACE

  20. True humility.

1Cor. 15:9 For I am the least of the apostles, unworthy to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.

Paul recognizes the grace he has is underserved. We too should keep this in our hearts. We are never entitled to anything in this life. God is the source of all good. Make it a daily habit to remind yourself that without God, we are lost. It doesnt matter what we do. It all starts from God.

  21. 10 But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.

Where would we be without the grace of God? God has bestowed grace upon each of our lives at some point! Thank you God for your mercy and grace on my life.

  22. I Corinthians 15:1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand.

2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.

33 Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.

58 Therefore my beloved brethren be ye steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, for as much as ye know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.

Many times we can start out with believing the truth, and that is the time we are on fire for God. Sometimes along the way in our walk we encounter fellowships that are not beneficial for us, and if we are not careful, those relationships can guide us in a different direction that is other than the truth. We can continue His work but with different goals in mind, to a point that we can get tired of doing His work and we say to ourselves, I’m burnt out, tired and they don’t appreciate me. That is why we need to always stand firmly on the truth and not move, because it is God that gives strength, and sustains us. When we do this then our work is not in vain because it’s to give Him all the honor and praise.

  23. 23 But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ’s at his coming.

24 Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.

25 For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet.

26 The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.

Paul starts out to chapter by admonishing the people to stand steadfast in their salvation, in memory of what he has preached until them. He explains the resurrection of the dead to those who argued against it, showing our faith is in vain unless Christ himself raised from the dead. He mentioned the great number of witnesses of his resurrection – that would have been an awesome thing to witness! I like that he says if there’s no resurrection, then we have hope in Christ in this life only and not the afterlife! I’m thankful we have this hope of the resurrection to be with Jesus eternally. Paul closes with God’s people being caught away in what we call the rapture. We must endure till the end to have this final victory…victory over death. Whether living or asleep, our greatest victory is over corruption-death. Just another thought…when we pass from this life, we’re not in heaven yet, we’re asleep…waiting on the last trump to sound! Hallelujah!!!

  24. 57 But thank God! He gives us victory over sin and death through our Lord Jesus Christ.
58 So, my dear brothers and sisters, be strong and immovable. Always work enthusiastically for the Lord, for you know that nothing you do for the Lord is ever useless. (NLT)

God doesn’t just want us to work, but to work with a smile on our face and joy in our hearts! We have the victory through Him, that makes Him soooooo worthy! He deserves to be praised, we should desire to cry out, God what more can I do for You, for Your kingdom?! Let all that you do be for His glory!

  25. 3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
    4. and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the
    Scriptures.
Thank you Jesus! it is not in vain our faith He die and resurrected and now He listen our prayers and help us in our weakness and live inside of us. Hallelujah!

  26. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

We must always be working for the kingdom of God.

  27. 1 Corinthians 15:10 ESV

But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace toward me was not in vain. On the contrary, I worked harder than any of them, though it was not I, but the grace of God that is with me.
It’s by God’s grace that we are called out of darkness and into His light. I pray that in everything I do, I am bringing God glory by working in excellence.

  28. “But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.” Paul was knowledgeable, bold and on fire for God (Jesus) however most of all he was humble. One should be thankful for God’s grace, and for a man of God that is willing to lead one, to be more like him (God). What a mighty God we serve! Thank God for his word. God bless America, Jerusalem, and you all in Jesus name, Amen!

  29. 58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

Sometimes one of the hardest things about being a follower of Christ is staying consistent and living the journey all the way to the very end. Even Solomon, who was one of the wisest Kings of Israel turned to sins in his old age and final days as he was lead away to false idols by his many women he suited, (and let that be a lesson to men as well! Lol)

For you can live most of your life living for God but in the end you decide it’s not worth it anymore, then you will probably end up like Solomon. So stay steadfast in God and in his word and he will lead you to the end of your journey and you will hear the words “Well done thou good and faithful servant.”

  30. 51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,

There is victory in His Work. As long as we continue in his work we have eternal life with Christ. He makes us victorious.

  31. MORE Humility

For I am the least of the apostles, that am not meet to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God. (‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭15‬:‭9‬ KJV)

Paul was surely someone who was s great apostle of Christ, yet he says that he was the least. He was considering all that he had gone through. He was not looking at his life out of entitlement, but out of a thought of humility. One that said, “Wow. I am counted higher than I should be, but God chose my place, not me. ” We all need to take a lesson from this greAt man of God and not think of ourselves too highly.

  32. 52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

There a message that world needs to hear.

The Lord is soon to return!

We will soon be changed, Lord help me to win a soul to you.

  33. For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet. (‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭15‬:‭25‬ KJV)

Thy Kingdom come, thy will be done. It’s all about you Jesus!

  34. 58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

In previous verse the apostle mentions more abundantly working. We should never feel like our efforts are not being rewarded or that we are not getting acknowledged for the things done. The one who sees all things knows every prayer, every home bible study, every time you witness, every time you give, all the work that you do in the Kingdom. He sees it all. The word tells us that the laborer is worthy of wages. Nothing is wasted. God is just and he will reward. We shall continue to do good and do not grow weary on doing so like Galatians says. What we sow we shall reap. Nothing goes unnoticed. The Lord keeps record of it all. Work is a blessing and it gives you a sense of worth and value and accomplishment.

  35. This scripture should be titled “Don’t Blink”, and motivate us to keep on pressing for that finish line.

“He makes all things new, and we won’t taste death”. If, you believe in Jesus Christ…….

  36. Don’t be fooled by those who say such things, for “bad company corrupts good character.” Think carefully about what is right, and stop sinning. For to your shame I say that some of you don’t know God at all. (‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭15‬:‭33-34‬ NLT)

Be careful of the company you keep. The common saying “you are who you hang out with” is very true. You pick up habits, habits that are not always ones you want to have. Ask yourself are you the influencer or the influencee?

  37. 55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?

56 The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.

57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Paul seemed very upset that some of the Corintians didn’t believe in the resurrection of the dead. It’s a re-accruing theme and that is summed up with, then we preach in vain and believe in vain.
My father would ask me this question all the time, are you saved? Some days I would answer, only God know, or I would hesitate and say yes but Very unsure of my self.
Through every trail and tribulation I Know God has been with me every step of the way.
Because of Jesus victory we can receive our rewards LIFE.

  38. Vain !!!! 55. O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? 56.The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. 57. But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Je’-sus Christ. 58. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord. I love you Jesus !!!! Thank you for loving me.!! You are my hope !!!!
