2 Corinthians 6

1 We then, as workers together with him, beseech you also that ye receive not the grace of God in vain.

2 (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)

3 Giving no offence in any thing, that the ministry be not blamed:

4 But in all things approving ourselves as the ministers of God, in much patience, in afflictions, in necessities, in distresses,

5 In stripes, in imprisonments, in tumults, in labours, in watchings, in fastings;

6 By pureness, by knowledge, by long suffering, by kindness, by the Holy Ghost, by love unfeigned,

7 By the word of truth, by the power of God, by the armour of righteousness on the right hand and on the left,

8 By honour and dishonour, by evil report and good report: as deceivers, and yet true;

9 As unknown, and yet well known; as dying, and, behold, we live; as chastened, and not killed;

10 As sorrowful, yet alway rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things.

11 O ye Corinthians, our mouth is open unto you, our heart is enlarged.

12 Ye are not straitened in us, but ye are straitened in your own bowels.

13 Now for a recompence in the same, (I speak as unto my children,) be ye also enlarged.

14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?

15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?

16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.

18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

  1. Be careful!

Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?

Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty. (‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭6‬:‭14, 17-18‬ KJV)

Separating oneself from bad habits(whatever keeps you close and connected to GOD) and even your so called “friends” can be a difficult task for many. We become comfortable with idols/friends then we seem that nothing is wrong…”I’m ok” not realizing that this is another tool that the enemy uses. Another way to slowly disconnected you from Jesus Christ!!
Simple Obedience allows us to belong to The Father. But rebellion to His Word, Rebellion towards authority separates us from Him. One becomes delusional and no longer knows, understands, or accept what’s true.
The Lord enlightened us when we were filled with the Holy Ghost, why turn back and pick up where The Lord had delivered us from?!
Stop entertaining wrong relationships, wrong emotional feelings, etc. and be set free from what is breaking you down! You say you want to grow closer to GOD, then let go of your past hurts, relationships, and any idol(s).
Take heed to yourselves, that your heart be not deceived, and ye turn aside, and serve other gods, and worship them; (‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭11‬:‭16‬ KJV)

Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners. (‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭15‬:‭33‬ KJV)

  2. 2. For he says, “In the time of my favor I heard you, and in the day of salvation I helped you.” I tell you, now is the time of God’s favor, now is the day of salvation. NIV

I can feel the presence of the Lord
And I’m gonna get my blessin’ right now.

I ain’t waitin’ no more, I’ve got it.

It’s my time for God’s favor,
It’s my time to be blessed.

  3. ABBA FATHER!!!!!

17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.
18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

What great news!!!! We have been adopted by the Lord ALMIGHTY!!! To be theirs, to be respected, to be loved. In the same way we owe Him respect, reverence, Love!!!!

  4. For God says, “At just the right time, I heard you. On the day of salvation, I helped you.” Indeed, the “right time” is now. Today is the day of salvation. (‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭6‬:‭2‬ NLT)

Sometimes when I feel the urge to pray with somebody that I know is resistant to God. I use this phrase. “Today is the day of salvation” I try to encourage them to pray through and let God change them. because we are not promised tomorrow. So if they die that night…they go to their eternal reward…. And it hurts me when they still refuse.
    The time is NOW!

Don’t team up with those who are unbelievers. How can righteousness be a partner with wickedness? How can light live with darkness? (‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭6‬:‭14‬ NLT)

Why does a Christian put them selfs in a place of temptation. Put themselves in the middle of evil. If we truly are a light of God we don’t join them in their activities(thing you used to do) instead we offer them a hand that leads them to salvation. You don’t join them and “not do anything”

Jesus has be shown in everything you do. Everywhere you go. It can’t be shown when you go back to darkness when ever we want but hope it’s okay. (“Hanging out with old friends.” ” I’m only going to watch it for a few minutes”) Then expect to come back in the room to turn the light switch on and see light. The light(God) will be there but only at the mercy of us…

Be a light. Don’t follow darkness.
Sometimes it’s better to lose friends then to lose your soul. That’s what I’ve learned.

What harmony can there be between Christ and the devil? How can a believer be a partner with an unbeliever? (‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭6‬:‭15‬ NLT)

    Just doesn’t work out.

  5. 14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?

15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?

The first part of this chapter speaks of ministers and their responsibility, that we receive not the grace of God in vain. As ministers, we must not fall into the snares of the devil. We must approve ourselves, check your spirit to make sure it is right, make sure nothing has crept into your life and left you open to the devil to destroy. We will be tempted with great temptation, but must hold on.
Read all of this with open mind understanding that we are nothing, but need the Spirit of God in our lives.

  6. The caption in the beginning of this chapter in the MSG says “Staying at Our Post”. A portion of verses 1-10 says “…..Well, now is the right time to listen, the day to be helped. Don’t put it off; don’t frustrate God’s work by showing up late, throwing a question mark over everything we’re doing……”. We have to give our very best in whatever part we are doing in and for His kingdom. Every part is important and people are watching to see if we will stick with it, no matter what.

The end of the chapter ends saying “….But that is exactly what we are, each of us a temple in whom God lives. God himself put it this way:

    “I’ll live in them, move into them;
I’ll be their God and they’ll be my people.
    So leave the corruption and compromise;
leave it for good,” says God.
“Don’t link up with those who will pollute you.
I want you all for myself.
    I’ll be a Father to you;
you’ll be sons and daughters to me.”
The Word of the Master, God.”

God loves us so much and he wants to use each and everyone of us. The time is now to listen and heed the warnings. Let God live and abide within you.

  7. A chapter of contradictions? No.

This chapter reads like a list of do’s and don’ts. One might see this chapter as a list of rules and regulations; a list of how we fall and fail. Not so. Paul is telling the Corinthians none of us are perfect but we should strive for perfection. When we fall, get back up and pick up where you left off.

    8 By honour and dishonour, by evil report and good report: as deceivers, and yet true;
    9 As unknown, and yet well known; as dying, and, behold, we live; as chastened, and not killed;
10 As sorrowful, yet alway rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things.

Keep fighting, keep getting back up. We will be known for our tenacity and how we allow the Lord to use us even when are not the perfect Christian.

  8. iLove to eat MORE Word

How do we prove that we are true ministers of God?
2 Corinthians 6:4 “In everything we do, we show that we are true ministers of God”.

    True Minister of God:
Patiently endure troubles and hardships and calamities of every kind.
    We have been beaten
    been put in prison
    faced angry mobs
    worked to exhaustion
    endured sleepless nights
    gone without food
We prove ourselves by our purity, our understanding, our patience, our kindness sincere love
    We faithfully preach the truth
God’s power is working in us
We use the weapons of righteousness
in the right hand for attack and the left hand for defense
We serve God whether people honor us or despise us
whether they slander us or praise us
We are honest, but they call us impostors
We are ignored, even though we are well known
We live close to death, but we are still alive
We have been beaten, but we have not been killed
Our hearts ache, but we always have joy
We are poor, but we give spiritual riches to others
We own nothing, and yet we have everything.

  9. Come out

It worries me when I hear someone say they get along better with people that are not walking in the truth than with those that are. In all my years of serving God and His people this always leads to the tragedy of backslidding. Yes, even Christ ate with the sinner but it was with purpose-to seek and save the lost. If this is not our soul purpose of being around lives that are walking in darkness we will become guilty of misrepresentation of the “light” As disciples, our job is to bring others into the light not get pulled into their darkness.

We also misrepresent Christ who is the light by not allowing Him to daily live and walk in us. Verse 16 talks about this. We are His temple and it is important that we allow Him to rule in our and not our flesh. We must cleans ourselves from anything that cannot equally yoke together in His Kingdom. We cannot walk in doubt but faith for it is impossible for doubt and faith to unite and effectively produce success. Now doubt and fear will produce failure. I can mix my faith with my praise and prisoner doors will open, walls will come down, and I become more than a overcomer. I choose More Victory!

  10. 14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
It’s important to make sure we walk with, talk with and connect with people that can help us spiritually. it’s safe to say if your friends are not helping you spiritually they are hurting you. Don’t be spiritually hurt stay connected to the right people

  11. MORE EFFECTIVE

4 But in all things approving ourselves as the ministers of God, in much patience, in afflictions, in necessities, in distresses,

17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.

There are two tests any aspiring leader, minister, or saint that wants to be used must endure and overcome.

The first is a test of patience and endurance. God is going to allow us to go through storms so that like Peter we learn to keep our eyes on him, and our hands off the storm. Pastor preached God will fight the battle that is not ours if we let him.

The next test is separation from the world. This is not done by reading a manual and following guidelines. Although we do need to submit to the powers established. For a believer this is learning to walk in the spirit. Paul said not all things are expedient. As children of God there are obvious things we should not subject our eyes, ears, and selves to. However there is a deeper place where God deals with us about things we need to separate ourselves from that may not be necessarily wrong for others.

Our trials keep us humble, and submitted to the King. Our separation keeps us pure, and holy before the King.

People like this are MORE EFFECTIVE in the Kingdom.

  12. 3: We live in such a way that no one will stumble because of us, and no one will find fault with our ministry. (NLT)

    MORE Leadership

“Be careful little eyes what you see It’s the second glance that ties your hands as darkness pulls the strings Be careful little feet where you go For it’s the little feet behind you that are sure to follow…” Slow Fade by Casting Crowns

Someone is always watching you, either you are a leader towards God or your not.
Living a life of leadership isn’t easy or everyone would do it, your life isn’t priority. Although somethings aren’t a stumbling block to you, someone who is following you may crash and burn. It’s heart breaking to consider someone will stumble because of a choice i chose to make.

Oh be careful little eyes what see
Oh be careful little eyes what you see
For the Father up above is looking down in love
Oh be careful little eyes what you see

  13. 14 Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness?
15What harmony is there between Christ and Belial ? What does a believer have in common with an unbeliever?
16 What agreement is there between the temple of God and idols? For we are the temple of the living God. As God has said: “I will live with them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they will be my people.”
17 “Therefore come out from them and be separate, says the Lord. Touch no unclean thing, and I will receive you.”
18 “I will be a Father to you, and you will be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.”

Who are you hanging with? As Tiffany and I was driving to work/school this morning she and I was talking about people turning their backs on God. Whe someone is giong against God and the church they don’t want to go alone they are going to drag people down with them. We (I) have to be strong in God that we don’t follow in their footsteps. I have told my girls that is you are hanging with someone that goes against what you believe watch yourself cause you become the company you keep. What kind of company are you keeping? I want to keep good company. What kind of talk can you have with an unbeliever? I want to hang with someone that you can share the news of God with. On Mondays when I get to work some co-workers and myself talk about what God did in our services over the weekend. It is safe to hang with believers so you don’t get spiritually down. So check yourself, your phone, your contacts at work and see if the believers outweigh the believers or vice versa on you are hanging with.

  14. For God says, “At just the right time, I heard you. On the day of salvation, I helped you.” Indeed, the “right time” is now. Today is the day of salvation. (‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭6‬:‭2‬ NLT)

Only God knows all of our plans that he has for us. His time is not always what we want it to be, but when He does show up it’s at a good time. So this is were the big test for everyone comes in……can you wait until it’s time for God to speak to you, to show up, etc. Trust God and have paitence and everything will work out. Yes, it may get hard and sometimes difficult. But God is everywhere and He will always be with you to help when it’s time.

So let’s give MORE time to God
MORE trust, paitence and faith with God because He knows what he’s doing.

Dont just give MORE to the yourselves but let’s get MORE for the souls that need God and especially let’s give MORE to God!!

  15. 16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.

18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

What a privilege and an honor it is to have the Spirit of God dwelling in us. In the Old Testament they erected a tabernacle, a tent for the Spirit of the Lord to dwell. But we have been chosen for His Spirit to dwell within us. That alone make us a separate people, but then we must separate ourselves from unclean things and things that would tarnish His Spirit and walk a holy, acceptable life that is pleasing to the Lord. He dwells in us, goes everywhere with us, hears everything we say, sees everything we do…….We are His Temple!

  16. MORE EQUAL YOKE

14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?

The apostle is no doubt offering some valid, wise and productive counsel in regards to relationship and marriage. However, I do not believe the verse is only for spouse selection. Seeing as there is no mention of marriage in this passage, it is safe to say that the command given should apply and be practiced in all relationships in our lives. Marriage, business, cultural groups, clubs, parties and other such commitments that require of our time, talent, treasure or emotions should be very strongly evaluated prior to engaging.

    NLT
14 Don’t team up with those who are unbelievers. How can righteousness be a partner with wickedness? How can light live with darkness?

    AMP
14 Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers [do not make mismated alliances with them or come under a different yoke with them, inconsistent with your faith]. For what partnership have right living and right standing with God with iniquity and lawlessness? Or how can light have fellowship with darkness?
15 What harmony can there be between Christ and Belial [the devil]? Or what has a believer in common with an unbeliever?

The 4 English words “unequally yoked together with” are the 1 Greek word:
2086. heterozugeo, het-er-od-zoog-eh´-o; to yoke up differently, i.e. (figuratively) to associate discordantly: — unequally yoke together with.

In other words, MORE important are the Spiritual, Eternal values of our relationships than the carnal, temporal values of our relationships. People can look good, sound smart and be caring, but, if their Eternal Passion does not match ours.

    “KEEP LOOKING”!

Do NOT settle for less when GOD is calling for MORE EQUAL YOKE.

King Solomon attempted to succeed at this task of “changing” someone, and it cost him deeply.

    1Kings 11:1 But king Solomon loved many strange women, together with the daughter of Pharaoh, women of the Moabites, Ammonites, Edomites, Zidonians, and Hittites;
2 Of the nations concerning which the LORD said unto the children of Israel, Ye shall not go in to them, neither shall they come in unto you: for surely they will turn away your heart after their gods: Solomon clave unto these in love.
3 And he had seven hundred wives, princesses, and three hundred concubines: and his wives turned away his heart.
4 For it came to pass, when Solomon was old, that his wives turned away his heart after other gods: and his heart was not perfect with the LORD his God, as was the heart of David his father.
5 For Solomon went after Ashtoreth the goddess of the Zidonians, and after Milcom the abomination of the Ammonites.
6 And Solomon did evil in the sight of the LORD, and went not fully after the LORD, as did David his father.

Even the most WISE will make DUMB decisions when the yoke is unequal spiritually.

2Chronicles 9:22 And king Solomon passed all the kings of the earth in riches and wisdom.
23 And all the kings of the earth sought the presence of Solomon, to hear his wisdom, that God had put in his heart.

That relationship is not worth it, that business is not worth it, that position is not worth it, that check is not worth it.

JESUS and HIS Kingdom are worth making wise decisions of MORE EQUAL YOKE.

  17. 14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?

Just like how light and darkness cannot exist in the same space, us believers cannot exist in one space with someone who does not believe what we believe. Light repels darkness, and you are married to another person you become one with them, so you become joined together. So how can light merge with darkness into one body? It can’t, so be careful who let you come in close in your life for it may pull you out of the light and into the darkness.

  18. 17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.

Separate-to mark off from others by boundaries, to limit, to separate
in a bad sense: to exclude as disreputable
in a good sense: to appoint, set apart for some purpose
People should notice a separation when they see or talk to us because we don’t do the things that this world does! We believe that there is only 1 God that is in control of everything and that is worth living for!!! Us Christians should live a holy life because God is Holy!
for it is written: “Be holy, because I am holy.” (1 Peter 1:16)
We should separate ourselves from actions, influences, or people that will contaminate us! Having a relationship with God is what makes us Holy because the closer we get to Him the more we are influenced by Him, the more we see like Him, walk like Him, love like Him, and do His will!!! There is no other name but JESUS!!!

  19. 14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?

Darkness is the absence of light, so where there is darkness, light cannot dwell there. If there is darkness in our life we cannot be a light to others, we need to get rid of anything or anyone who is continually showing darkness. People have a great influence on our lives so we need to be careful who we let in our lives.

  20. 16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.
18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.
We are giving a place, a home in the Lord. He has called us out of our sin and of the world to dwell in the light. We were orphans but now we are His sons and daughters!

  21. 2Cor. 6:14 ¶ Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?

This goes beyond marriage. We are not to be bound to unbelievers in fellowship, living quarters, and strong business partnerships. One may say,”Jesus was with the sinners!!” The sinners Jesus was with had a heart of repentance. They were willing to walk in truth. Today many people Christians claim they are witnessing too are not in that category. Wisdom is needed for sure, but when an authority figure advises one of their folly, such as Paul did here, and one does not heed to sound council, they are in dangers of falling.

  22. 14 Don’t be teamed with those who do not love the Lord, for what do the people of God have in common with the people of sin? How can light live with darkness? 15 And what harmony can there be between Christ and the devil? How can a Christian be a partner with one who doesn’t believe? 16 And what union can there be between God’s temple and idols? For you are God’s temple, the home of the living God, and God has said of you, “I will live in them and walk among them, and I will be their God and they shall be my people.” 17 That is why the Lord has said, “Leave them; separate yourselves from them; don’t touch their filthy things, and I will welcome you 18 and be a Father to you, and you will be my sons and daughters.” TLB

Looking back over the years, I have noticed those who chose to marry unequally, and those who chose to wait on God for the right person of like faith & equal spirituality. The ones who chose a spouse they were not equal in this faith, have had so many hard struggles – many ended in divorce, some still struggle today. The ones who waited just a while longer, waiting on God, have had successful marriages, and even during the struggles, they have both had God to turn to for his help! They had his favor going into the relationship and have his favor during those hard places too. We are each tempted to stray outside of God’s will for our lives, so in matters of the heart, BEFORE you allow your heart to love, run to your Pastor, seek the will of God; because if you let your love flow first, it is harder to let it die when you are outside of His will, than if you had held love in, sought God, got approval, and received the green light to begin a godly Christian relationship. Be wise! Protect your future! How do you want your children’s lives to turn out? It all begins with the willingness to be equally yoked with Gods blessings on your marriage, home and family.

  23. 2 Cor. 14-17
Why do the scriptures tell us to “Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers,” and “Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye seperate.” ? Because unbelievers are unrighteous, in darkness, full of the devil, have unbelief, and are idolitars. Everything that is against God.

We must seperate ourselves from unbelievers, so that we can live a life that is pleasing to God, because we are the temple of the living God, and not just the living God but a Holy God. Our temples (our lives) should be Holy so God can dwell within us.
1 Cor. 3:16-17 says, “Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy: for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.”
1 Peter 1:16 says, “Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.”

    MORE Holiness!

  24. Teamwork

4 “Rather, as servants of God we commend ourselves in every way: in great endurance; in troubles, hardships and distresses”

In verse 1 Paul begins by addressing ministry as God’s co-workers. We labor for the gospel. The church body may have different fucntions and systems like the organs of the physical body, but they all work together for the same purpose; soul winning. Each ministry has an effect on the other. Like the head bone is connected to the neck bone, together we all connected. Media effects Music, Bus effects Sunday School etc. When one ministry is distressed the body feels it because we fight the same battles together. Our connection to one another in ministry is why we must all be on the same page (equally yoked). Being disconnected or unequally yoked will tear the body apart. We have to decide on whose team we will be and unify in teamwork.

Luke 11:17 “Any kingdom divided against itself will be ruined, and a house divided against itself will fall.”

  25. 4 But in all things approving ourselves as the ministers of God, in much patience, in afflictions, in necessities, in distresses,

    5 In stripes, in imprisonments, in tumults, in labours, in watchings, in fastings;

6 By pureness, by knowledge, by long suffering, by kindness, by the Holy Ghost, by love unfeigned,

7 By the word of truth, by the power of God, by the armour of righteousness on the right hand and on the left,

    8 By honour and dishonour, by evil report and good report: as deceivers, and yet true;

    9 As unknown, and yet well known; as dying, and, behold, we live; as chastened, and not killed;

10 As sorrowful, yet alway rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things.

  26. 2Corinthians 6:17 wherefore come out from among them, and be ye seperate saith the Lord and touch not the unclean and I will recieve you.

In today’s christian walk so many churches say its ok to talk, dress, and act like the world to a point that there is no difference between us. God is calling us to be holy and differnt from the world because His Spirit will make us differnt. We are his temple and He dwells in us and that make us unique in this world, his love changes all.

  27. 18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

This scripture has special meaning in my life. After losing my father at the age of 15. I knew that the Lord was my Father. Not just in the spiritual sense but as the one whom I could turn to. He is my provider. He is my Father.

  28. 17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.

You can’t live in holiness and in sin at tge same time. You must choose which path you want to take. As children of the most high God, we must separate ourselves from the things of this world. Our focus must remain on God, if we want to see his glory.

  29. “Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.” One cannot pick and choose what to obey with God (Jesus). One must obey all of God’s word, and be obedient to the man of God. What a mighty God we serve! Thank God for his word. “Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done”. God bless America, Jerusalem, and you all in Jesus name, Amen!

  30. 17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.

It takes a lifestyle of seperstion to be in the will of God. The emergent church believes that we should blend in and let the sinner be comfortable around us, when the exact opposite is true of Gods plan. God said here to seperate ourselves from the world then he would recieve us. If we water down the gospel enough that we for in with the world that he’s trying to get us out of, then it ceases to be the gospel, because the good news is that this world is tempory and he had prepared a seperated place for his seperated people.

    Thank God for the truth!

  31. 3 Giving no offence in any thing, that the ministry be not blamed:

4 But in all things approving ourselves as the ministers of God,

No matter what we are going through or what we are doing, we must be blameless in our response so as not to dishonor the name of Jesus.

  32. 16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.

18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

We must be desperate in deed, thought and words we are not meant to be like everybody else so let’s not even try to. It is by us being different that that lost will see something in us that they want, they night not know what it is but God does and we do. Their souls hunger for godfather they know it or not and and have to be the examples to show them that the way things are in their lives

  33. 16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.

18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

We must be seperate in deed, thought and words we are not meant to be like everybody else so let’s not even try to. It is by us being different that that lost will see something in us that they want, they might not know what it is but God does and we do. Their souls hunger for God wether they know it or not and we have to be the examples to show them that the way things are in their lives are not the way that it always has to be. We have to make a difference. We have to be the difference.

  34. And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. -2 Corinthians 6:16

Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, -2 Corinthians 6:17

Separation from the world and its trappings will help keep us in right relationship with the Lord. Serving the the Lord and his purpose should be our desire.

Idols can come in many shapes and forms.

Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve. -Matthew 4:10

  35. vss. 11-12 O ye Corinthians, our mouth is open unto you, our heart is enlarged.
Ye are not straitened in us, but ye are straitened in your own bowels.

Paul pleads to ” hem in closely ” and to enlarge their hearts for him.
Which brings to mind this is whatJESUS desires from us a relationship that comes from the heart
    The heart must be involved
Matthew 15:7-8. ” This people draweth high unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.”

Hem in closely and draw close to HIM with all of our hearts.
Thank you JESUS for your word today .
    MORE SEPARATION from the world
    MORE RELATIONSHIP with JESUS

  36. And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. (‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭6‬:‭16‬ KJV)

The temple of God is where he dwells. Because God has chosen to give us His Spirit that it might dwell within us, we are his temple. When we put things like entertainment and social media I front if Him we make it idols. These things have no business being with one another. We need to be careful about the things that take our time so we don’t make them idols in our lives.

  37. 4 But in all things approving ourselves as the ministers of God, in much patience, in afflictions, in necessities, in distresses,

What this scripture tells me is that, For as we are servants to are God we make are selves accountable for are God at anytime we are available, we need to use the power of God to endure the word of God for as we shouldn’t cause discomfort as we outreach to people and we should be very careful for what we do when we are out in the worldly world by are selves for we should always act like a child of God and be like one where ever we are at all times, for as whatever we do in condition of to difficult to endure we should always believe and trust in are God because there’s nothing or impossible for are God that he can’t do in are lives!! In Jesus Name !!!

Philipians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ who strengths me !!!

  38. them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.

18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

So how can one be separate in a world? The thing is that one will need the help of the Holy Spirit. If we start by making the changes that need to be made in our lives to live a holy separate life. God which gives us power, will strengthen us and allow us to live separately from the world. But what are the things that we can do in our part? Well..pray and read the word. Nourish yourself in the word of God strengthening your faith praying. The Lord knows the flesh is weak, but that’s not an excuse not to leave behind the old things. He makes all things new. It can be amazing what you may offer God and how much more he can do with it. Being separate starts in the mind as well. I will not go there anymore. I will not speak in those forms, I will not hang with those people anymore. God
Will give us the power. We have to submit our will to Him…

  39. 2 Corinthians 6:3 we put no stumbling blocks in anyone’ s path so that our ministry will not be discredited. Rather as servants of God we commend ourselves in every way in great endurance in troubles hardships and distresses in beatings imprisonments and riots in hard work sleepless nights and hunger impurity understanding patience and kindness to the Holy Spirit and in sincere love in truthful speech and in the power if God with weapons of righteousness in the right hand and in the left .

  40. Be ye separate !!!! 14. Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? Deut. 7 : 2 15. And what concord hath Christ with Be’-li-al? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? 16. And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. 17. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, Isa. 52 : 11 18. And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty. I AM VICTORIOUS THROUGH CHRIST JESUS !!!!
