Galatians 5

1 Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.

2 Behold, I Paul say unto you, that if ye be circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing.

3 For I testify again to every man that is circumcised, that he is a debtor to do the whole law.

4 Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.

5 For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith.

6 For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love.

7 Ye did run well; who did hinder you that ye should not obey the truth?

8 This persuasion cometh not of him that calleth you.

9 A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump.

10 I have confidence in you through the Lord, that ye will be none otherwise minded: but he that troubleth you shall bear his judgment, whosoever he be.

11 And I, brethren, if I yet preach circumcision, why do I yet suffer persecution? then is the offence of the cross ceased.

12 I would they were even cut off which trouble you.

13 For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.

14 For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

15 But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another.

16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.

17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.

18 But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.

19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,

20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,

21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

24 And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.

25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

26 Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.

  1. Which fruit are you bearing ??????

Luke 6:44 For every tree is known by his own fruit. For of thorns men do not gather figs, nor of a bramble bush gather they grapes.

This is why I don’t believe that people can fake the Holy Ghost for if you do have it the fruits will speak louder than words. Fakers can only fake it for a period of time for it has to be exhausting sooner or later the truth will come out. Luke 16:13 No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
This is one of the reason that I like to observe people for your actions will always speak louder than words. Thankful that my God is the same today, yesterday, and tomorrow!!!! HE CHANGES NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!

  2. 24. Those who belong to Christ Jesus have nailed the passions and desires of their sinful nature to his cross and crucified them there.

    25. Since we are living by the Spirit, let us follow the Spirit’s leading in every part of our lives. NLT

    Galatians 2:20-21
    20. My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

    21. I do not treat the grace of God as meaningless. For if keeping the law could make us right with God, then there was no need for Christ to die. NLT

We must crucify our old selves, die out to sin, and let His Spirit lead us in every single thing we do, thanking Him for His mercy and grace!

  3. This chapter reminds me of a message my sister brought to a ladies meeting once. She explained how for many years she felt like the things spoken of in these scriptures were not for her because of a message she had heard as a child. She felt enslaved for many years; but, never said anything. When the Lord revealed what these scriptures truly meant and she embraced the fact that she was an heir of these promises, her entire life changed. Once you embrace the fact that you have been forgiven and love yourself, you can then love others as part of verses 13-15 MSG say “…..For everything we know about God’s Word is summed up in a single sentence: Love others as you love yourself. That’s an act of true freedom……”.

  4. More LIVING in the Spirit

Galatians 5:16-17 (Amplified Bible – AMP)
16 But I say, walk and live [habitually] in the [Holy] Spirit [responsive to and controlled and guided by the Spirit]; then you will certainly not gratify the cravings and desires of the flesh (of human nature without God).
17 For the desires of the flesh are opposed to the [Holy] Spirit, and the [desires of the] Spirit are opposed to the flesh (godless human nature); for these are antagonistic to each other [continually withstanding and in conflict with each other], so that you are not free but are prevented from doing what you desire to do.

The Holy Ghost is a gift God gives to us, but it is very misunderstood. It is true that we must be born or the Spirit. However having this gift is more than just for salvation purposes.

John 14:26 (Amplified Bible – AMP)
26 But the Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, Standby), the Holy Spirit, Whom the Father will send in My name [in My place, to represent Me and act on My behalf], He will teach you all things. And He will cause you to recall (will remind you of, bring to your remembrance) everything I have told you.

Acts 1:8 (Amplified Bible – AMP)
8 But you shall receive power (ability, efficiency, and might) when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you shall be My witnesses in Jerusalem and all Judea and Samaria and to the ends (the very bounds) of the earth.

Romans 8:15-16 (Amplified Bible – AMP)
15 For [the Spirit which] you have now received [is] not a spirit of slavery to put you once more in bondage to fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption [the Spirit producing sonship] in [the bliss of] which we cry, Abba (Father)! Father!
16 The Spirit Himself [thus] testifies together with our own spirit, [assuring us] that we are children of God.

Counselor, helper, advocate, intercession, strengthener, standby, teacher, power, ability, efficiency, might, adoption producing sonship, testifier.

These are all things we received when we were baptized in the Spirit.

Yet the Bible says we need to walk in the spirit and not in the flesh. This is a choice. If we do not choose to walk in the spirit we refuse access to the spirit of God. The Holy Ghost wasn’t poured out for us to have good church on Sunday.

The Holy Ghost was poured out to help conform us to the image and likeness of Christ!

Romans 8:29-30 (Amplified Bible – AMP)
29 For those whom He foreknew [of whom He wasaware andloved beforehand], He also destined from the beginning [foreordaining them] to be molded into the image of His Son [and share inwardly His likeness], that He might become the firstborn among many brethren.
30 And those whom He thus foreordained, He also called; and those whom He called, He also justified (acquitted, made righteous, putting them into right standing with Himself). And those whom He justified, He also glorified [raising them to a heavenly dignity and condition or state of being].

We received the spirit of adoption, now it is up to us to adopt the life he is offering by living in the spirit.

  5. 14 For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

15 But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another.

To love others one must love themselves. We show how we feel about ourselves by how we treat others. When we tear down others we do more damage than good to ourselves. The words we speak and actions we take against others will consume us. If we try to tear down others then we tear down ourselves but conversely if we build up others we will be built up. To love others is to love yourself.

  6. 16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.

The safest way to not live after the flesh is tom obey the Spirit and let the Spirit of God lead you where you go and what you do. The old saying of asking God if he would do what you are about to do.
Walk in the Spirit and allow God to guide your life. This is so important in our walk with God to be able to walk in the Spirit.

  7. (NLT) Galatians 5:1, 7-10
“So Christ has truly set us free. Now make sure that you stay free, and don’t get tied up again in the slavery to the law.”
“You were running so well, Who has held you back from following the TRUTH? It certainly isn’t God, for he is the one who called you to freedom. This false teaching is like a little yeast that spreads through the whole batch of dough! I am trusting the Lord to keep you from believing false teachings. God will judge that person, whoever he is, who has been confusing you.”

Jesus Christ has set us free. We need to make sure that we stay that way by standing steadfast, firm, and unmoveable in what we believe. The TRUTH of God’s Word. Because there will be people (false teachers) who will come along and try to still that freedom and TRUTH from us, and if they do, it will cause us to go back into bondage. (I have seen it happen many times).

Prov. 23:23 says, “Buy the TRUTH, and sell it not; also wisdom, and instruction, and understanding.”
St. John 8:32 says, “And ye shall know the TRUTH, and the TRUTH shall make you free.”
St. John 14:6 says, “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the TRUTH, and the life:..”

Jesus said that He is the TRUTH. So than, ye shall know the TRUTH (JESUS), and the TRUTH (JESUS) shall make you free.

    MORE TRUTH!! MORE JESUS!!

  8. 7 Ye did run well; who did hinder you that ye should not obey the truth?

8 This persuasion cometh not of him that calleth you.

Any decision we make that will keep us from praying or from seeking God probably did not come from God. Because of the relationship we have and the more time we spend with him we should be able to distinguish between the voices and decent spirits wether they be of God or not.

16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.

17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.

We give out what we put in. When we fill our selves up with the spirit by prayer and devotion it is easier for us to show Jesus in what we do. With the things of the spirit on our minds the things of the flesh become less appealing. You cannot have both flesh and spirit working together to make a decision or even have a conversation, we should already that that what is of the flesh is flesh and that which is born of the spirit is spirit. It is not hard to distinguish between the too. What were putting in us spiritually has allot to do with what we do and show naturally. I want to be filled with the Spirit

  9. What are you producing?

19 When you follow the desires of your sinful nature, the results are very clear: sexual immorality, impurity, lustful pleasures, 20 idolatry, sorcery, hostility, quarreling, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambition, dissension, division, 21 envy, drunkenness, wild parties, and other sins like these.

22 But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things!

Being leaders someone is always watching as well as following.Where are you leading the people following you?

  10. iLove to eat MORE Word

    More Fruit
“But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against.”

Paul once again is defending the Gospel against those who would to bring the Gentile believers under the law of Moses. (By the way, there are still those in Christian denominations today, that would try to bring folks under subjection to Jewish law and regulations.) We have an even higher law than the one that Moses gave, its the law of love. We must learn to bear MORE Fruit in order to fulfill this law.
    More Love
    More Joy
    More Peace
    More Patience
    More Kindness
    More Goodness
    More Faithfulness
    More Gentleness
    More Self Control
    =
    More Fruit

  11. 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
What kind of fruit are you producing? You can always tell how a person lives and if they are living the truth by the fruit they bare. If we have good fruit then we show good works and if we have bad fruit then we will have bad works.

  12. 26 Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.

    Love the unbeliever.
I even think the unbeliever even knows who Jesus is. So we should love and respect thier ways…cause even the unbelievers will lift up the believer of Jesus.

  13. 24 And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.

25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

Crucifying the flesh is a daily procedure. Each day we will face the choices of living after the desires of the flesh or to obey the Word and leading of the Lord. Daily we must die again to the flesh. When I teach Bible studies on the works of the flesh vs the fruits of the Spirit, I paint this picture: You cut off a tree and have a tree stump left, but the tree is still alive, so it will send up branches again from the roots. To keep that tree from re-growing, you must keep cutting off the branches from the base of the tree. This is compared to dying to the flesh when we are born of the Spirit-the works of the flesh keep trying to sprout again in our lives, so daily we must cut them off and prevent them from growing in our lives again. Reading his Word, prayer and the renewing of our minds in His presence are our pruning tools for the flesh – to keep walking in Spirit victoriously.

  14. MORE OBEDIENCE

7 Ye did run well; who did hinder you that ye should not obey the truth?
8 This persuasion cometh not of him that calleth you.
9 A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump.

I have encountered these thoughts numerous times along my journey with JESUS. Everything seemed to be going well. Prayer, Bible Study, Church, family, employment and such. Then out of nowhere came a stumbling block, a hinderance, a challenging decision between what I felt was right and what I was challenged to choose. Verses 7-9 remind me of some of those decisions.

I have witnessed countless believers, when faced with a spiritual decision, make a carnal mistake. It is not always a “WHO” occasionally it is a “WHAT”. The Apostle gives us insight in regards to how to identify these hinderances; they all show up in “DISOBEDIENCE” from as simple as not lifting our hands when asked to. Not attending a meeting when asked to. Not attending a prayer meeting when asked to. Not reading a book or participating in a social bible fellowship (POFWBlog). Not participating in outreach. Not faithfully giving tithe and offering to the LORD.

The “WHO” are easy to identify, they are the ones that suggest there is no need to do what is asked of you, suggest to us that the request is not necessary, suggest that it won’t hurt you just once.

9 A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump.
ONE little disobedience contaminates the whole life.

Choose today to live life PURE, HONEST and OBEDIENT in the sight of GOD.

    iRepent
    iPraise
    iPray
    iObey
    iWork
    iGive
    iReap

  15. 1 Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.

13 For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.

16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.

God gives us a choice to live by the flesh or by the Spirit. When we choose to live by flesh, we are deciding live according to our own wants, needs ,desires, and thinking. We choose to live according to what society teaches. Which is to be selfish and please yourself. What we fail to realize is that in choosing this we are putting back the chains of sin that made us slaves in the fist place. God has made us free from all of this. When we receive his Spirit in our lives, it’s not to live the same way we did but to live a holy life. A life off freedom! When we are free we are able to love not lust our neighbor. We have desire and passion to love them and serve them, which is why we must stand firm on His Word so we won’t turn back.

  16. 1 Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.

We are being admonished by the Word of God today, to not look back to the beggarly elements of this world, that will only please the flesh for a season, and cause us to be in spiritual bondage.

God has called his people out of the world, to be separate, set apart, noticeably different in actions, attitude and speech. It is when our spirit becomes weak that we begin to look, long for, lust after the things of this world.

Entangled: to involve in or as in a tangle; ensnare; enmesh:
    to be entangled by intrigue.

We must have stay prayed up, filled up with the Word and Spirit, and be involved in serving the Kingdom of God, so that we do not become ensnared in the things of this world, that would lead us back to bondage (the ways of the world)

  17. 13 For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.

God freed us from the bondage not just for our sack, though he certainly has for that, but also so we can spread it to other people as well. To show them the love we experience through Jesus so that they themselves can feel true love from the creator. For God is love itself, if love had a shape or form it would be God. So let’s all spread the love he has given to us and let others see the love of God

  18. 24 And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.

25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

To fully live for God, our fleshly life must die, so that our spiritual life can live. Lord you lead and I’ll follow!!

  19. Galatians 5:13 You my brothers and sisters were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh rather serve one another humbly in love. For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command.love your neighbor as yourself if you bite and devour each other watch out or you will be destroyed by each other so that you are not to do whatever you want. But if you are led by the Spirit you are not under the law.

  20. 6 For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love.

We should all love one another. So many believe and have faith that Jesus is God and rose from the ground but still don’t have a loving relationship with him. If you love Jesus then you have faith he will be there during times of trouble. The two are connected when building your faith in Christ.

  21. 1 Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.

Stand fast, dig your feet in, hold your ground! Stay in the liberty, freedom, the salvation wherewith God has given you. It’s yours, nothing can separate you from it.

The Israelites are a great example of the great deliverance and freedom God gives and “again and again and again” entangling themselves with a yoke (sin).

Evangelist Cash Nathan called it a survivor mentality. Always living off the last years blessings , letting sin kick them around like if Christ hadn’t defeated it already.

When we get up everyday, sin and the devil should tremble, because of our reputation on how we deal with sin and evil spirits.

I hate hearing Christian sob stories, how they struggle and how sin and life got them pinned down. We must not be serving the same God. The God that I serve responds with Fire, Holy Ghost Fire!

The devil is having a bad day today!

  22. 24 Those who belong to Christ Jesus have nailed the passions and desires of their sinful nature to his cross and crucified them there.
25 Since we are living by the Spirit, let us follow the Spirit’s leading in every part of our lives.
26 Let us not become conceited, or provoke one another, or be jealous of one another. (NLT)

Amen. Once we are free from sin we should never look back but keep our eyes focused on Him so He can lead us by His Spirit. Hold yourself accountable and encourage and pray for one another.

  23. So Christ has truly set us free. Now make sure that you stay free, and don’t get tied up again in slavery to the law. (‭Galatians‬ ‭5‬:‭1‬ NLT)

Once saved always saved?? Where is that in the Word? We should do our very best not to get tied back into salvery. It’s Pray and the Word!

  24. 7 Ye did run well; who did hinder you that ye should not obey the truth?

Sometimes life comes at super sonic speeds and we have to stop and ask ourselves “How did I get here?” It’s alot like losing your car keys, or arriving to work and not remembering the commute. Lifestyles can become so auto plot that we can miss something out of place easily. Paul says here that the Galatians ran well in the gospel, but somehow something has hindered them. How can a believer know the gospel and get confused or sidetracked? Backsliding comes from looking back and literally sliding off the path. The influence of false teachers, unequally yoked freinds or family etc can effect our walk. This is why it is so important for us to gaurd our hearts.

  25. 25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

Romans 8:22 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.

The Holy Ghost gives us life in Christian and it is our duty to daily walk in harmony with the Holy Ghost. Allowing God to lead us and use us.

  26. 9 A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump.

Hallelujah! when I read this it showed me how a little sin could be very dangerous. SIN IS SIN!!! Dont let the devil manipulate you in doing a “little” bit of sin. The devil knows how to tempt us and what we are weak to, but if you resit the devil he shall flee!!! The devil doesnt make you do anything you dont want to!! You give him the permission to rule over your life and have you bondage!!!!! Dont let the devil take what is yours!!! We serve a mighty and power God!!! Remove everything that doesnt satisfy God and fill yourself with the fruits of the Spirit 🙂

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

  27. The strong spirit shall win.

18 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.
17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.

As I was reading this the story of the two dogs came to mind. And in this story the master had two dogs. One he feed very well and the other only the table scraps from what was left over. Well these dogs were fighting dogs. And he took them to a fight. The one that he feed very well won every fight. Then it was the ‘Scrap’ dog. When he fought he lost every time.
What are we feeding? In the spirit whatever you feed more will be the one that wins. You feed the flesh. The flesh will win. You feed the Spirit the Spirit will win. We must starve the carnel mind. We must feed the spirit with prayer and reading the word. We must be separate from this world. We are not of this world we are just passing through.

  28. 18 But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.

One of the big issues in today’s society is not many people will allow the spirit to lead them. Too many times as human beings we like to do things the way we see fit. God is calling those who are not trying to do things their way, but who want to do things his way. For a Christian, this world is not our home. So, no need to try to store up bags of riches. I’m not say we can’t be wealthy. Any possession we have has to come with the right spirit or else we will be like any other person. God has called us to greatness and there is no time for the “do what I want to do” spirit. Let us hold fast to what God has already set into motion.

  29. “More Fruit of the Spirit”……………MORE……MORE…………………..

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
    ______________________________________________________________
We must crucify this flesh, and not let it not get its way…………..

24 And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.

25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

“We can do all things thru Christ Jesus, who strengthens us!”……………………..

  30. 15 But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another.

16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.

  31. “Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.” Paul (the man of God) explained it all clearly. The true man of God (Jesus) will be in alignment with the word of God, and deliver what God hath given him, the decision there after is up to self, as all will stand alone before the Judge (Jesus). Dear God, help me to examine self; “Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done”. What a mighty God we serve! Thank God for his word. God bless America, Jerusalem, and you all in Jesus name, Amen!

  32. 25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

26 Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.

Love others and love yourself. Crucify the flesh and follow the Spirit. Love God with all your heart and soul. Don’t allow jealousy in your lives, God loves each and everyone of us. There is no need to become jealous of each other,

  33. Life More Abundantly

    Galatians 5:25 NLT
Since we are living by the Spirit, let us follow the Spirit’s leading in every part of our lives.

Having the abundant life Jesus spoke of is not a part-time proposition; we either have it or we don’t. There is not mixing and matching with canal living and Spirit-led living. True abundance comes in Christ’ sufficiency for every part of our lives and our submission to His ways to receive it.

    John 16:13
Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

  34. Garden our lives

the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.

17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.

If we are to beat fruit then that implies that plants… In fact the bible says like trees planted by the water giving fruit. So having that in mind, then we must perform some good gardening techniques in our lives. We must water daily with prayer and word and pull away any weeds of sin and unrighteousness. Cutting away from what is not good or will prevent us from having fruit. We need to take care of ourselves that we may bear much fruit.

  35. Galatians 5: 22-23
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
    verse23
Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

The fruits of the Spirit should be a reflection of the character of God in our lives when we walk in the Spirit.

The true manifestation of the fruits of the Spirit at work in our life, is when we become more like Christ in character and in our actions.

As LEADER I should have this qualities. .. why?
Because when we have an encounter with someone we MUST represent God’s love and automatically people should began to see Christ in our life.

    For Example:
A fruit results from a planted seeds. When seeds grow they bear fruit, fruit represents visibility and identification of the type of fruit you planted. Right!

As LEADER how do I want to be identify?

    In Mathew 7:16-20 NKJV
You will know them by their fruits. Do man gather grapes from thorn bushes or figs from thistles?
    Verse 17
Even so, every GOOD TREE bears GOOD FRUIT, but every BAD tree bears BAD fruit.

Do our daily life shows our fruits of the Spirit as God wants us to do so?

Does my fruits show God’s love for the lost.
Do I have joy, regardless of my circumstances.
Do people see my tranquility or harmony, my inner peace.
Do I wait patiently for results with out complaints during suffering times.
DO I do kind acts or kind deeds
Do I want the best for others (goodness)
Do I keep my promises (NKJV Faithfulnes)
Do I think before I speak in a harsh or severe way.
Do I RESTRAIN over my own impulses, emotions or desires.

    Colossians 3:12-17

  36. Total obedience to Christ.

    Galatians 5:16
But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh.

Total surrendering to Christ is required to in order to walk in the spirit. When we truly die to ourselves, we will find that we will not fall into the works of the flesh because we are totally consumed with Jesus. We the become a true ambassador of Christ and represent his kingdom to the lost world.

  37. This false teaching is like a little yeast that spreads through the whole batch of dough! I am trusting the Lord to keep you from believing false teachings. God will judge that person, whoever he is, who has been confusing you. (‭Galatians‬ ‭5‬:‭9-10‬ NLT)

When you have not studied the word and built a solid foundation between you and God, you can be very easily persuaded. It’s not to say that you are not a good person, you are just ignorant (not educated/not aware) of what is truth. There are people who are very easy at manipulating the word just as the devil did in the garden. When you listen to these types of people and the foundation isn’t there you have opened yourself to be introduced to false doctrine. At first it’s one opinion you accept but then it ends up confusing all your core values and what you believed in before. God is not the author of confusion. Build a relationship with God, know His voice, know His word.

  38. More fruit.
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. (‭Galatians‬ ‭5‬:‭22-23‬ KJV)

We are to oppose the character traits of the enemy everyday. We are to take our Jesus and cultivate, water, and harvest our fruits daily so we can share them with those who have the bad character traits. The people around will wonder where the good fruit came from and will seek out answers for themselves. When they ask us or look on their own they too will find MORE JESUS. In turn he will give us all MORE fruit.

  39. v13 For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but love serve one another.

GOD has called us to serve love one another.
Share truth with hurting people and care for one another should be consistent throughout the body and not only to our closest to us.
To minister to others by serving should be our chief concern.

  40. For you have been called to live in freedom, my brothers and sisters. But don’t use your freedom to satisfy your sinful nature. Instead, use your freedom to serve one another in love. For the whole law can be summed up in this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” But if you are always biting and devouring one another, watch out! Beware of destroying one another. (‭Galatians‬ ‭5‬:‭13-15‬ NLT)

We have the freedom, it’s what we do with it that really matters. God didn’t call us each and everyone of us to be selfish. So use the freedom and gifts God has given you and put them to good use. By doing these good things it will creat more unity because we shouldn’t be self minded we should be open minded to not only the lost but to our brothers and sisters in Christ.

So I say, let the Holy Spirit guide your lives. Then you won’t be doing what your sinful nature craves. The sinful nature wants to do evil, which is just the opposite of what the Spirit wants. And the Spirit gives us desires that are the opposite of what the sinful nature desires. These two forces are constantly fighting each other, so you are not free to carry out your good intentions.

But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things! Those who belong to Christ Jesus have nailed the passions and desires of their sinful nature to his cross and crucified them there. Since we are living by the Spirit, let us follow the Spirit’s leading in every part of our lives. Let us not become conceited, or provoke one another, or be jealous of one another. (‭Galatians‬ ‭5‬:‭16-17, 22-26‬ NLT)

Don’t let your flesh get a hold of you and draw you to sin, keep the Holy Ghost strong inside of you so you have the strength to fight off those things. Because with the Holy Ghost we don’t just have freedom we have so much more. Being part of God is saying more than we are just with Him, it is saying we are His children, we fight on His side, we left that filthy life we came from to be with Him and have Him as our Father. There’s so much more to being on His side, God gave His life for us…..He deserves everything.

  41. Faith !!!! 5. For we through the Spir’-it wait for the hope of righteousness by faith. 6. For in Je’-sus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love. 1 Cor. 7 : 19 Thank you Jesus for loving me !!!! I am victorious !!!!
