Ephesians 1

1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, to the saints which are at Ephesus, and to the faithful in Christ Jesus:

2 Grace be to you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.

3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:

4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:

5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,

6 To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.

7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;

8 Wherein he hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence;

9 Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself:

10 That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him:

11 In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:

12 That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.

13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,

14 Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.

15 Wherefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love unto all the saints,

16 Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers;

17 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:

18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,

19 And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,

20 Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,

21 Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:

22 And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church,

23 Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.

  1. 19. And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,

Exceeding greatness of His power…that’s exciting! What does His power exceed? Everything! Whatever comes against us, His power is greater!

Glory and honor, dominion and honor,
Now and forever the Lord, God Omnipotent,
Reigneth with power forever with POWER,
GREATER THAN ALL, You are Sovereign God.

    Nobody greater,
    Nobody greater,
    Nobody greater,
    Greater than my God.

  2. Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes. (‭Ephesians‬ ‭1‬:‭4‬ NLT)

In repentence I found his love and forgives. He sees no fault in me. Thank you Jesus for your redemption. Being able to run to you!

The Spirit is God’s guarantee that he will give us the inheritance he promised and that he has purchased us to be his own people. He did this so we would praise and glorify him. (‭Ephesians‬ ‭1‬:‭14‬ NLT)

I had a convastion with a family member the other day. I try to explain that God has given us a promise. A promise that he can never back down from. If you believe in him and take the steps of salvation then he will GIVE you salvation a free ticket to a next life, a life of paradise. All we have to do is worship him for the rest of our lives. We were originally created to worship him. But sin gets in his way. He’s just wants all his children to love him.

They didnt want to try to understand anymore.

Now he is far above any ruler or authority or power or leader or anything else—not only in this world but also in the world to come. (‭Ephesians‬ ‭1‬:‭21‬ NLT)

    Praise! The king of Kings!!!!!

  3. Verses 15-19 MSG “That’s why, when I heard of the solid trust you have in the Master Jesus and your outpouring of love to all the followers of Jesus, I couldn’t stop thanking God for you—every time I prayed, I’d think of you and give thanks. But I do MORE than thank. I ask—ask the God of our Master, Jesus Christ, the God of glory—to make you intelligent and discerning in knowing him personally, your eyes focused and clear, so that you can see exactly what it is he is calling you to do, grasp the immensity of this glorious way of life he has for his followers, oh, the utter extravagance of his work in us who trust him—endless energy, boundless strength!” This passage reminded me of our Sunday School class two weeks ago, when we learned about the 10 lepers. We learned about the difference between praise and worship. Praise rejoices, while worship brings one to God’s feet in thanksgiving. So going beyond rejoicing to thankfulness brings deeper blessings and relationship with God. So let us do MORE and pray for one another.

  4. 4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:

Amen be holy and without blame! We shall be holy because He is Holy!!! 🙂 He’s the one that took us out of the pit that we were at!!! He protected us from all evil and somehow we were led to His gospel!!! Everything that is in the bible is only for edifying 🙂 don’t be ashamed to share the gospel!!! There are many people that are hungry for God, many are looking for a hope or a way out. All you do is love us Jesus thank you for your great mercy and grace 🙂 MORE HOLINESS!!!!
    Leviticus 11:44
For I am the Lord your God. Consecrate yourselves therefore, and be holy, for I am holy. You shall not defile yourselves with any swarming thing that crawls on the ground.
    Leviticus 19:2
“Speak to all the congregation of the people of Israel and say to them, You shall be holy, for I the Lord your God am holy.
    Leviticus 11:45
For I am the Lord who brought you up out of the land of Egypt to be your God. You shall therefore be holy, for I am holy.”

  5. iLove to eat MORE Word

    More Wisdom
    Ephesians 1:8
    (8) Wherein he hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence

The word “Abound” in verse 8 has the following definition.
    Abound #G4052
    περισσεύω
    perisseuō
    per-is-syoo’-o
From G4053; to superabound (in quantity or quality), be in excess, be superfluous; also (transitively) to cause to superabound or excel: – “make more” abound, (have, have more) abundance, (be more) abundant, be the better, enough and to spare, exceed, excel, increase, be left, redound, remain (over and above).

It is the will of God for us to receive more and more of the wisdom and prudence that God has freely poured out. Paul in verse 16 goes on to say, “Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers;17 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the ‘spirit of wisdom’ and ‘revelation’ in the knowledge of him”

We need more Wisdom POFW. This great city that we are a part of is counting on us to get things together.

James 1:5 King James Version (KJV)
5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

We could spend an hour listing the things that are wise and unwise, however, I think we could all agree that we have yet to walk in the great abounding wisdom that God has poured out and has desired for us.

    Pray for MORE Wisdom.

  6. 7 He is so rich in kindness and grace that he purchased our freedom with the blood of his Son and forgave our sins.
8 He has showered his kindness on us, along with all wisdom and understanding. (NLT)

    Thank You Jesus!

  7. (NLT) Ephesians 1:12-14
God’s purpose was that we Jews who were the first to trust in Christ would bring PRAISE and GLORY to God. And now you Gentiles have also heard the truth, the Good News that God saves you. And when you believed in Christ, he identified you as his own by giving you the Holy Spirit, whom he promised long ago. The Spirit is God’s guarantee that he will give us the inheritance he promised and that he has purchased us to be his own people. He did this so we would PRAISE and GLORIFY him.

MORE Praise and MORE Glory to him who has saved us and called us his own, Jesus Christ!

  8. Merciful GOD

Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes. God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure. So we praise God for the glorious grace he has poured out on us who belong to his dear Son. He is so rich in kindness and grace that he purchased our freedom with the blood of his Son and forgave our sins. (‭Ephesians‬ ‭1‬:‭4-7‬ NLT)
As long as we keep focused on The Lord, we shall always have the victory over the enemy! From the foundation of the earth we have been chosen of GOD. Sin has no power over us. Sin can only over take us if we allow it to. We are THE children of GOD.

  9. 22 And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church,
23 Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.

He is the great conquer. He has won the victory. And everything will be alright. We must remember that without God we are defeated. But with God all things are possible. All things. Not leaving anything or anyone out. All is complete. He is an All-knowing God. He is my friend an my Father.

  10. 16 I couldn’t stop thanking God for you – every time I prayed, I’d think of you and give thanks.

17 But I do more than thank. I ask – ask the God of our Master, Jesus Christ, the God of glory – to make you intelligent and discerning in knowing him personally,

18 your eyes focused and clear, so that you can see exactly what it is he is calling you to do, grasp the immensity of this glorious way of life he has for Christians,

Reading these verses it sounds to me that we are to pray for one another. Pray for the backsliders and the lost souls that are out there. There are hungry souls out there and wanting more out of life than they are getting. Let’s be a light to those people and see what God can do. This week at work more people has been talking about God and the endtimes and these people don’t go to a true church, so when they start the conversation and ask me my opinion that’s my door opened to witness to them. You never know who is in need or hungry for the word. God give us ears to hear as you hear and eyes to see as you see. Lord, help us to be in the right place at the right time.

  11. 14 Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.
“Earnest” simply means deposit or down payment meaning that there is more to come later of whatever it is that your seeking. In the kingdom of God we seek one main goal one main desire and that is haven. We seek to walk and talk with Jesus and be with him. Well today we are able to experience some of that here on earth by having a personal relationship with Jesus. He gives us the opportunity to have a earnest of our future and gives us a glimpse of what heaven is going to be like while we are still on earth

  12. 4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:

He has chosen us! We don’t have to beg or fight for Jesus’s love, he chose us. He loves us. But that doesn’t mean we get to do whatever we want and however. We should be holy and blameless before him in love. Holiness is important to God. Holiness is the garment worn by those that He chose.

  13. Accounts Recievable- Payable Upon Death

14 Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory

When the last breath of Christ Jesus exhaled his earthly body and when he proclaimed IT IS FINISHED, we were paid for. Just as when we go buy a new pair of shoes, we pick out the ones we want, we pay for them and the cashier hand is a receipt and the shoes. These shoes are now mine. Jesus Christ paid the ultimate price for us. He picked us before we were born and purchased us with his blood. Whenever we are feeling unworthy we have to think that He knowing all things purchased is with his life. He must think we are worth it. We can make his investment more valuable by speeding the gospel, yes, but mostly by making sure we are it to redemption day ourselves. He has an account payable built in his bride. Jesus is waiting on his purchase, the collection notice has been served, he is coming soon to collect.

  14. Ephesians 1:13-14 (KJV Strong’s)
13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, 14 Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.

This is just the beginning. Yet we must utilize what he has blessed us with. The Holy Ghost is a gift, but if we bury it in the ground we are an unjust steward. If the gospel is hid it is his to those who are lost.

Earnest is like a down payment. If it is never applied though you lose the sell. You can hold it all you want but it must be put into action.

  15. 21 Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:

He does not know our names but all the names in the world, and all the names that are to come. My God is an awsome God.

  16. 7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;

We are redeemed by the blood of Jesus Christ, what a reward for repentance and willingness to obey the Word of God. Yes, we can have forgiveness of sins, but we must repent and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. We can receive the fulness of the grace of God by being filled with the Holy Ghost.
We must be born again and live a life in Jesus Christ that is a sign of being born again.
Thank God for a new birth experience!!!

  17. 20 Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,
21 Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:
22 And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church,
23 Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.

His is ABOVE ALL HIS NAME IS JESUS AND HE IS MY GOD AND SAVIOR!!!

  18. MORE JESUS = HEAVENLY PLACES

20 Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,
21 Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:

My spirit is still resinating on the WORD of the LORD to The POFW on Sunday Night, “Keep My PLACE”. This passage in Ephesians 1 has revived my desire and passion to Keep My PLACE in Christ JESUS. Paul shares with us that it is the Mighty Working POWER of JESUS that grants us access to Heavenly PLACES.

3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:

As I surrender my will and my kingdom to cry unto the LORD, “Thy Kingdom COME, Thy WILL be DONE”. I am seeking access to HEAVENLY PLACES as I position my mind, heart, spirit and soul to surrender to HIS WILL. Faith without works is dead. Our actions must align with our words. GOD knows.

HEAVENLY PLACES reveals that we are “above” or have dominion over principality, power, might, dominion, and every name that is named including buddha, allah, mohamed or any other name that will arise.

Seeking and Knowing MORE JESUS is the path to KEEP My PLACE in HIS Kingdom and Blessings in HEAVENLY PLACES in Christ.

  19. Ephesians 1:3 Praise be to the God and Farther of our Lord Jesus Christ who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight in love he predestineus for adoption to sonship though Jesus Christ in accordance with his pleasure and will to the praise of his glorious grace which he has freely give us in the one loves.

  20. 4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:

5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,

I have never been through adoption, but I do know families who have experienced the joy of choosing their child, and adopting them into their family. Those special children are chosen by the parents. We, as children of God, were chosen by Him to be adopted into the blood line of Jesus Christ. We was not born into the bloodline, but we were chosen by Him to become His child. Often time we take for granted the privilege that we have as the “grafted in” children. We take His love and sacrifice for granted and go off and do our own thing, thinking that what He has asked of us is not important or necessary. We must remember He sets the ground rules, and did so from the foundation of the world. It’s not up to us to change them, it’s up to us to be thankful for the opportunity to be adopted into His family.

  21. Predestined

Paul is encouraging the Ephesians to see themselves as Jesus sees them. Like everyone called to the gospel, they too are not a mistake. Spiritual children will also question who their parents are. It’s easy to question if were they’ve ended up was an accident. Paul assures them that they were predestined. He is limited at this time to correspondence through letters (epistles) to the church of Ephesus. Just like any church his motivation is to build them up, just like a good physical parent would encourage their child.

In the OT God made a covenant with Abraham “7I will establish my covenant as an everlasting covenant between me and you and your descendants after you for the generations to come, to be your God and the God of your descendants after you.” (Gen 17). And to the decendants after him: “5Now if you obey me fully and keep my covenant, then out of all nations you will be my treasured possession. Although the whole earth is mine, 6you will be for me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.’ These are the words you are to speak to the Israelites.” (Ex 19). These same promises were set up and predestined for us today. We are the grafted in children of Jesus. If we keep our covenant with Him we will be his treasured possessions. We were predestined to shine!

  22. Wisdom, knowledge, and understanding !!!! 17. That the God of our Lord Je’-sus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: 18. The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, Acts 26 : 18 19. And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to usward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, Jesus you are so powerful !!!! I worship you !!!! Thank you for your Holy Ghost !!!! Thank you for water baptism in Jesus Name !!!!

  23. More Love III

22 And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church,

23 Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.

    Hosea 2:19-23
19 And I will betroth thee unto me for ever; yea, I will betroth thee unto me in righteousness, and in judgment, and in lovingkindness, and in mercies.

20 I will even betroth thee unto me in faithfulness: and thou shalt know the Lord.

    21 And it shall come to pass in that day, I will hear, saith the Lord, I will hear the heavens, and they shall hear the earth;

22 And the earth shall hear the corn, and the wine, and the oil; and they shall hear Jezreel.

23 And I will sow her unto me in the earth; and I will have mercy upon her that had not obtained mercy; and I will say to them which were not my people, Thou art my people; and they shall say, Thou art my God.

Though He has all power and dominion, the Lord differentiates between His general Lordship over creation and His Headship over the church:

    Hosea 2:16 AMP
And it shall be in that day, says the Lord, that you will call Me Ishi [my Husband], and you shall no more call Me Baali [my Baal].

Today’s chapter echoes this, that even thought He “hath put all things under his feet,” He is “head over all things to the church, which is his body.” The church, His Bride, is not under His feet but a part of Him. He rules as one who puts their body under subjection, with love and doing all as unto Himself as the church is a part of Himself:

Ephesians 5:29 For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church

The problem with this picture of divine romance is that the church often struggles with what we can see in the children of Israel after coming out of Egypt:

    Acts 7:39-40
39 To whom our fathers would not obey, but thrust him from them, and in their hearts turned back again into Egypt,

40 Saying unto Aaron, Make us gods to go before us: for as for this Moses, which brought us out of the land of Egypt, we wot not what is become of him.

In our hearts, we do not grow beyond the place of bondage in Egypt to be made perfect in God’s love:

    Ephesians 3:17–19
17 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,

    18 May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;

19 And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.

The church’s struggle is one portrayed by Gomer when she would rather a lord than a husband, but God had different plans for her. He outlined to Hosea His plan, using Gomer as His example to explain how He would draw His people collectively to Him. His ultimate plan was a Bride, to dwell with Him eternally.

It is vital if the church is to truly live and move and be as the church that the church receive the love of her espoused in the context of relationship with Him in knowledge of who He is. In His love, the church is perfected and adorned, ready for to meet Him when the day of the marriage feast comes.

    Revelation 21:2
And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

  24. 4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:

5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,

We should always love and Praise Christ Jesus for his good works. Because of his love for us he adopted us. His love is unconditional. God is kind and loving, may his will be done and not mine.

  25. 13 (ESV) In him you also, when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believed in him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, 14 who is the guarantee of our inheritance until we acquire possession of it, to the praise of his glory.

We are sealed with a promise, one that will never be broken. Our God is faithful in everything! It’s amazing that He loves us so much to give us an opportunity to get a glimpse of heaven before we get there! Praise the glory of God!!

  26. NLT 5 God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure.

When we are baptized and receive the holy spirit, we are spiritually adopted by our God, Jesus. We could be left out, stranded, left depressed, lost of hope, and broken physically and spiritually. But thank God, the bible gives us a way out, to live a life of hope, comfort, healings and blessings. Our Father-Jesus, as only a loving father will do, is here to protect us and comfort us!

  27. 4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:

We all strive towards holiness for one reason: because we love God. Not because we are trying to earn our salvation or any other selfish reason, but because to show God our love for him by doing what he tells us to do in his word. This is how we make our love from a noun to a verb and make into action before God.

  28. 4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:

5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,

Before the beginning of time God already had a plan for us to be saved through Jesus. So that we should live a holy life. A life of love for one another and to share that love along with the plan of salvation to those that have not yet known about the sacrifice Jesus did on the cross. Doing this, we fulfill his will for our lives.

  29. (NIV) 10 to be put into effect when the times reach their fulfillment—to bring unity to all things in heaven and on earth under Christ.
(MSG) 11-12 It’s in Christ that we find out who we are and what we are living for. Long before we first heard of Christ and got our hopes up, he had his eye on us, had designs on us for glorious living, part of the overall purpose he is working out in everything and everyone.

I can only imagine when God brings unity from Heaven to Earth! 🙂 Thank you Jesus you have alway kept your eye on me. You have my life planed out and I pray you give me strength and wisdom to stay in your path for me! Thank you Jesus for never letting go! Even when I fall you rise me back up! 🙂 ❤

  30. Power and authority; not adjacency
    Ephesians 1:20
which He brought about in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places,

Ancient culture viewed the right hand as power and authority (same word in Greek). This passage illustrates that Christ is in that power. It is not referring to a literal place or location of Christ in heaven next to the father on a thrown. The person of the father and of Christ are identical. Just as the person of our soul and our body are identical. The two are separate in some sense in a philosophical point of view but aren’t separate in person or personality. Those who use this passage to support trinitarian views fail. They completely ignore the historical context of interpretation or apply a false second meaning to the text.

Christ has all power and authority.

  31. And when you heard the word of truth (the gospel of your salvation) – when you believed in Christ – you were marked with the seal of the promised Holy Spirit, -Ephesians 1:13

    Thayer’s Definition
    a seal
    the seal placed upon books
    a signet ring
the inscription or impression made by a seal
of the name of God and Christ stamped upon their foreheads
that by which anything is confirmed, proved, authenticated, as by a seal (a token or proof)

When we are fashioned after the truth of his word through obedience to the gospel he seals us with his Holy Spirit.

  32. 13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,

Belief in Him opens us up, for Him to receive us and for us to receive Him. It all boils down to belief is the step in the right direction but receiving the a holy Ghost seala the deal.

  33. 19 And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,

There is no power even close to the power of our God. As believers of this way, the bible states we shall receive power after the Holy Ghost comes upon us. I thank God for the power he has given us.

  34. “Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come”. Paul was describing our mighty God! Thank God for the revelation of the name of God, which is Jesus. Dear God, allow me to hear and know you; “Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done”. What a mighty God we serve! Thank God for his word. God bless America, Jerusalem, and you all in Jesus name, Amen!

  35. All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ. (‭Ephesians‬ ‭1‬:‭3-6‬ NLT)

God chose every single one of us before He made us, before He died for us. He loved us so much He have His life and took us under His arms to show us so many wonderful things but one important thing love. God loves us all even when we do the most dreadful things He still loves us.

Love has become just a saying in our world, not many actually see the true meaning of the word until God opens our eyes to show us.

Let’s not take thing for granted. Be true, be honest, help others in need, seek God, give God the praise and glory He deserves for doing in our lives, and let’s not just say words to people but actually mean what we say. Words can follow a person for the rest of their lives so let’s watch what we say.

  36. 16 Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers

What Ive learned about this scripture is that I will never stop giving thanks to my father, for that I rejoice in his presence for what he’s done in my life, and I from remembering my father in my prayers. In Jesus Name!!!!

  37. 9 God has now revealed to us his mysterious plan regarding Christ, a plan to fulfill his own good pleasure. 10 And this is the plan: At the right time he will bring everything together under the authority of Christ—everything in heaven and on earth. 11 Furthermore, because we are united with Christ, we have received an inheritance from God,[c] for he chose us in advance, and he makes everything work out according to his plan. NLT

Sometimes we get concerned of the things of this life. What are we gonna do? Whats gonna be of my life? The feeling almost as of a college student being asked what are you gonna with your life? Well the word tells us that men plan things but it is of God who decides and guides.

Proverbs 16:9New King James Version (NKJV)

    9 A man’s heart plans his way,
But the Lord directs his steps.

Sometimes we find out that life just doesn’t work out. You may come up with a 5 year plan, but then life stops you in the middle of it, or redirects you… Or so we think. The fact is that God has a plan for us all and like we read here, he will bring everything “Together” under the authority of Christ. At times we may find ourselves running away form the plan or call for our lives and find life to be very difficult. It may be perhaps that we all need a road to Damascus experience because we are acting as a Saul, and not the Paul that God was called us to be. It is then, when we finally begin to let the light shine through to see V 18, 19.

18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,

19 And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,

Then what we thought was life “happening to us” we know that God was always in control just aligning everything in order under his authority. And thus we see that all the hardships and trials and hurts and pains abuse, neglect, sorrow, tears… All says the word of God worked “Together” for our good …. those who have been called according to his purpose… Or could we say Plan?

    Romans 8:28 NKJV
And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.

Now, we can redirect our thinking and ask, like the apostle Paul asked; “…Lord, what will thou have me to do?” (acts 19:6)

The Lord has a plan for us all, and we could simply live our life without fear and we would just simply submit come in harmony together under the one that orchestrates life with a simple sound of is voice, the Word of God.

God will speak and have is will and purpose done. Every knee shall bow, and every tongue will confess Jesus as Lord. Most of the fear is just simply letting go and letting Him be Lord and allow Him to speak to you, and through you and for you.

Every promise in the word of God is true and is for us… if we can just simply come under his authority and align our self to that Great Purpose of Him.

Lord, today I ask, What will thou have me to do?

    Jeremiah 29:11New International Version (NIV)

11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

  38. Wisdom & revalation …….we need to check our spirit. This is what we need and to know the riches of his power & glory………knowledge is power too.

17 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:

    “Be strong”…….

  39. (‭Ephesians‬ ‭1‬:‭13-14‬ NLT)

Thankful for God’s plan for our lives. Before His plan was revealed to us we seemed to not have any hope. God had a plan in mind for us. He made a way of escape for me. I praise Him and give Him all the glory.

  40. 20 Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,

21 Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:

22 And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church,

23 Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.

For all The Trinitarian, that don’t believe that Jesus is above all and over all. That everything is under his feet and he is given dominion over everything.
That is that his name is above all these since before till today, and in the world to come.

  41. 4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:

5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,

6 To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.

    7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;

In reading here that we were chosen in him before the foundation of the world, is such a great comfort. With this fact in mind, we understand more perfectly that if God be for us, who can be against us? Now our part is to be holy and without blame before him in love. Without the Holy Ghost, there’s no holiness in the flesh, so we know it is required-it is the earnest of our salvation & that through daily repentance and the renewing of our minds with his word and obedience to it, we can do the work of remaining blameless. It’s not how many times we fall, it’s how many times we get back up and determine to stay in this fight. We CAN endure till the end!

  42. It’s in Christ that you, once you heard the truth and believed it (this Message of your salvation), found yourselves home free—signed, sealed, and delivered by the Holy Spirit. This signet from God is the first installment on what’s coming, a reminder that we’ll get everything God has planned for us, a praising and glorious life.

That’s why, when I heard of the solid trust you have in the Master Jesus and your outpouring of love to all the followers of Jesus, I couldn’t stop thanking God for you—every time I prayed, I’d think of you and give thanks. But I do more than thank. I ask—ask the God of our Master, Jesus Christ, the God of glory—to make you intelligent and discerning in knowing him personally, your eyes focused and clear, so that you can see exactly what it is he is calling you to do, grasp the immensity of this glorious way of life he has for his followers, oh, the utter extravagance of his work in us who trust him—endless energy, boundless strength! (‭Ephesians‬ ‭1‬:‭13-19‬ MSG)

I love the power and conviction that is conveyed in this version when Paul is talking to his fellow believers and wanting the to have MORE than what they already have. the message he was speaking on was “signed, sealed, and delivered by the Holy Spiri”. Oh that we all would have that seal on our lives–all family, friends, and lived ones.

  43. Ephesians 1: 11-12 NKJV
In Him also we have obtain an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of HIS WILL,
    Verse 12
that he who first trusted in Christ should be to the praise of His glory.

In this Chapter I see how Paul reminding us of our position in Christ. OUR PLACE AT THE TABLE!

6 words that he used to remind us

verse 4. CHOSE- He elected us even before the foundation of the world.

Verse 5. PREDESTINED- He predicted, He saw something in US that it must and will come to pass.

Verse 6. ACCEPTED- He approved of us.

Verse 7. REDEEMED/REDEMPTION- He delivered us from captivity.

Verse 9. INFORMED- made us know the mystery of His will, ACCORDING to His good pleasure which He purpose in Himself for US.

verse 11. HEIRS- to have the right to receive or claim our place at the table. (Sunday’s preaching)

verse 13 SEALED- we have it secured with the Holy Spirit of promise! the guarantee of our inheritance!

All this was predicted, God’s will to our lives our ministries, for the HOPE OF HIS CALLING (verse 18)

Thank you Jesus for choosing Me.
