Ephesians 3

1 For this cause I Paul, the prisoner of Jesus Christ for you Gentiles,

2 If ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given me to you-ward:

3 How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery; (as I wrote afore in few words,

4 Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ)

5 Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit;

6 That the Gentiles should be fellowheirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel:

7 Whereof I was made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God given unto me by the effectual working of his power.

8 Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ;

9 And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ:

10 To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God,

11 According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord:

12 In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him.

13 Wherefore I desire that ye faint not at my tribulations for you, which is your glory.

14 For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,

15 Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,

16 That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;

17 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,

18 May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;

19 And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.

20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,

21 Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.

  1. Able to do more.
    Ephesians 3:20
    Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us,

    Christ is able to do more than we can ask or think. Imagine what God can do….he can do more than that. He is able to do this according the the power that works in us. We are able to change this world. We can imagine a packed out convention center. God is able to do more than that. How about packed out convention centers all across the world. They do it by the millions for sports. It’s time to be done for the kingdom of God. Rise up an army I. Jesus name.

  2. Ephesians 3: 2
    If ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given me to you-ward:
    verse 3
    How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery; (as I wrote afore in few words,
    verse 4
    Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ)

    “PASSION IS THE FIRST STEP TO ACHIEVEMENT”

    Paul is giving us the ultimate source to please God!
    We have the power and responsibility to teach, guide, direct others to serve God.
    He exhort us to take full advantage of all the resources and power God has made available for us by His Holy Spirit and the word of God.

    That’s why is important for us to READ & STUDY the word of God so that we can EQUIP ourselves to be able to lead others to Christ. If we don’t know how to follow, how can we lead.

    Paul is challenging us to a life worthy of our calling in Christ and into service to others so that we can experience the power and the love of God and the revelation of his word for our benefit.

  3. 8 Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ;

    9 And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ:

    Witness….

    I thank you Lord for pastors and wives and ministers of the faith and truth of the gospel, which is to repent and be baptized all of you, for the remission of sins and you will recieve the gift of the Holy Ghost (acts 2:38).
    And then evidence of speaking in a heavenly language.

    Young men will have dream dreams and old men will prophecy.
    Love Him who have sent us. That man is Jesus. I praise You, JESUS!!

  4. 17 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,

    18 May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;

    By faith, is the way the Jesus enters in our hearts and dwells there, making our bodies a “temple” for him, and what helps keep him rooted there is our love that we have for him. The more we love God the more deeply rooted that he can become in our lives and the way we love him is by showing love by spending time with him and keeping our relationship.

    So love more and you can have more of God in your life.

  5. 20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us

    Philippians 4:19 KJ
    19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

    JAHOVAH JIREH He is my provider. So Happy to be His child… Love my God, my Sweet heart, and my Provider HE IS ALL I NEED.

  6. It truly takes FAITH

    That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; (‭Ephesians‬ ‭3‬:‭16-18‬ KJV)

    “SOCIETY” wants to confuse and push their ways upon you, in order to accept their “way” of thinking nowadays.
    But within me I must continue to be strengthened with might by His Spirit daily!! It’s up to me to continue to live by faith and not by sight, as it is a continuous battle to push me down in what I know to be truth, which is the gospel of Jesus Christ!! It hurts to see individuals walk away from what they knew to be truth and hear them say ” I’d rather choose to live my way” and reject salvation, reject the Power of the Holy Ghost, just to walk in darkness.

    As for me….. I will continue to stay rooted and grounded in love!!

  7. This is a great reminder when I am so consumed and overwhelmed with my problems; I need to remember to look up to the great wonderful God!

    20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,

    21 Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.

  8. iLove to eat MORE Word

    MORE than You Think
    Ephesians 3:20 (NLT) Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.

    God is able to do anything. It’s that simple. Boom. However, as we read this scripture, it says that He is able to accomplish “infinitely more” than we can ask or think. One of the keys of this becoming reality is the scripture says “through his mighty power at work within us.” In order for God to really open the windows of blessing, we must allow the Spirit to start working within us. We must be full of the Spirit everyday and walk in the anointing. As we have daily fellowship with the Lord, He will begin to accomplish his will in us. Pentecostals of Fort Worth, You aint seen nothing yet. As we enter into unity, God is going to do “Infinitely MORE” than what we ever thought was possible.

  9. MORE HEAVENLY PLACES

    GOD created man, then became man to reveal the mystery. The mystery being that GOD loves mankind so deeply that HE is willing to become man that mankind could understand the mystery of HIS power, love and authority.

    It is the will of GOD to REVEAL and CONCEAL his Glory, Power and Might. For this reason the church has access to MORE HEAVENLY PLACES in Christ JESUS. Why? For the eternal purpose. The HOPE of our Eternal future is found in Christ JESUS. Our Time, Talent and Treasure invested in the Kingdom of GOD express to him our desire of MORE HEAVENLY PLACES. What we read, watch, listen to, where we go, who we spend time with, our attitude toward the Kingdom of GOD and others. All our life decisions prepare us for HIS Kingdom.

    Our Kingdom passion is expressed through our FAITH and demonstrated through our WORKS. We seek to know HIM and we learn HIM as we experience MORE HEAVENLY PLACES.

  10. 16 That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;

    17 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,

    18 May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;

    19 And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.

    20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,

    We need the Spirit of God in the inner man, where we can find the depth of that Spirit. I see where the mention of knowing the love of Christ, what really is the love of Christ. Jesus loved us when we were not lovable or even close to being what God would want us to be.
    Jesus can do all things for us, but we must allow him to work in our lives.
    God working in our lives will move out the things that is not like him, God can replace hate with love, etc.

  11. 4 Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ)

    5 Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit;

    His Spirit leads us and guides us into all truth. His Word brings direction, knowledge, wisdom and understanding to those who will read, study and learn of His ways. What we have learned, His Word and His Spirit will quicken within us when we are in need.

  12. 1 For this cause I Paul, the prisoner of Jesus Christ for you Gentiles,

    We are use to being told we are servants of God. But a servant has the choice to leave. If you are a prisoner of God that means you are sentenced to be Gods prisoner for a time period (your life). But we are still servants.
    I remember a story Bro Mo would tell the high school class, that even in vacation he was a servant to the higher officers and that service helped him get out!
    So as prisoners we are to be servants as well. A servant that will never leave.

  13. Ephesians 3:15-17 (Amplified Bible – AMP)
    15 For Whom every family in heaven and on earth is named [that Father from Whom all fatherhood takes its title and derives its name].
    16 May He grant you out of the rich treasury of His glory to be strengthened and reinforced with mighty power in the inner man by the [Holy] Spirit [Himself indwelling your innermost being and personality].
    17 May Christ through your faith [actually] dwell (settle down, abide, make His permanent home) in your hearts! May you be rooted deep in love and founded securely on love,

    Relationship is a state of connection, closeness, and relation. Relationship means there is a bond together. Spiritual, emotional attachment, sometimes with intimacy.

    God wants to be part of our everyday lives. When we put him first and at the center through relationship our lives area whole. We still go through the chaos of this world but not alone.

    We must focus on this relationship, and pursue its growth.

    Ephesians 3:18-20 (The Message)
    18 you’ll be able to take in with all Christians the extravagant dimensions of Christ’s love. Reach out and experience the breadth! Test its length! Plumb the depths! Rise to the heights! 19 Live full lives, full in the fullness of God.
    20 God can do anything, you know—far more than you could ever imagine or guess or request in your wildest dreams! He does it not by pushing us around but by working within us, his Spirit deeply and gently within us.

    MORE RELATIONSHIP

  14. That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,
    18 May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;
    19 And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.

    Love.

    Love protects. Love corrects. Love listens. Love talks. Love is more than an action. Love is one of the first emotions. For God so loved the world…. From the beginning of time God has loved us. Without love we are nothing.

  15. According to the power

    20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,

    Matthew 28
    18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

    John 1:
    12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, [even] to them that believe on his name:

    Acts 1:
    8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

    This is the power!

  16. NLT 8Though I am the least deserving of all God’s people, he graciously gave me the privilege of telling the Gentiles about the endless treasures available to them in Christ.

    I too can say them, who am I to be reaching out to others and telling than about Christ. Why me? We all have a calling to do our part for the kingdom of God. Each of will have a burden in ministry and that’s how the church stays strong.

    Thank God, for giving each of my family member a burden for there ministry they are involved with.

  17. Ephesians3:7 I became a servant of this gospel by the gift of God’s grace given me though the working of his power. Although I am less than the least of all Lord’s people this grace was given me to preach to the Gentiles the boundless riches of Christ and to make pkanto everyone the administration of this mystery which for ages past was kept hidden in God who created all things. Hisintent was that now through the church the manifold wisdom of God should be made known to the rulers and authorities in heavenly realms according to his eternal purpose that he accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord.

  18. 17, “That Christ may dwell (to settle down and be at home) in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,” (KJV)
    17, “And I pray that Christ will be MORE and MORE at home in your hearts, living within you as you trust in him. May your roots go down deep into the soil of God’s marvelous love;” (The Living Bible)

    The MORE that Christ is at home in our hearts, the MORE we trust in him; and the MORE we trust in him, the MORE we will be rooted in His love.

    MORE Jesus!
    MORE Trust!
    MORE Love!

  19. 17 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,

    18 May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;

    19 And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.

    What is love? Love is (an intense feeling of deep affection. Fondness, tenderness, warmth, intimacy, attachment.) God is love and Paul is telling us to root(attach) to Him. When we are rooted to God we will begin to fully understand the different dimensions and fullness of God, and how great and deep His love is for us. His love completes us and shows us knowledge and understanding.

  20. 20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,

    21 Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen
    Thankful for a God who works with power through His people. A God who allows us to go above and beyond anything we could ever think we could accomplish. It reminds me of this verse “it’s not by might nor by power but by my spirit saith the Lord “

  21. 20 Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think. (NLT)

    INFINITELY MORE!! As Bishop Foster would say, “Wowwwwwww!”

  22. 16 That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;

    17 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,

    God is Love, we are strengthened by his power. Love him with all your heart and soul.

  23. 16 That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;

    17 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,

    18 May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;

    19 And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.

    Without the trials of life and God’s interventions, how could we know the depth, height, length & breadth of his love? It’s being low in a valley -but being brought to the mountaintop that shows us his love. Don’t despise the bumps in the road of life, God just might be trying to show you how deeply he loves you.

  24. “5 Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit; 6 That the Gentiles should be fellowheirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel”. Paul was humble in his explanation of God’s (Jesus) gift to all. It was by God’s grace, alone, that all which are not of Jewish decent (Gentile) were then and are still today welcome. Dear God, let me never forget your gift of access; “Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done”. What a mighty God we serve! Thank God for his word. God bless America, Jerusalem, and you all in Jesus name, Amen!

  25. More Love V

    Ephesians 3:19 KJV
    And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.

    Ephesians 3:19 NLT
    May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.

    Being complete in God is intertwined with experiencing and knowing His love. When we didn’t know Him, we were lost in the darkness of sin without the light of redemption; but when we came to know Him and began to experience Him, we were able to change. So even beyond salvation, the greater our knowledge of Him and experience of Him, the greater opportunity we have to draw nearer to Him and become more complete in Him.

    Colossians 2:10
    And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power

  26. I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit. Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong. (‭Ephesians‬ ‭3‬:‭16-17‬ NLT)

    Every one likes to be loved.  Most like what we call the love chapter 1 Corinthians 13, but how do we love the author of love and Love himself, our Lord and savior Jesus Christ?   Those who have recieved the baptism of the the Holy Ghost describe it as an experience to which there are no words to explain.  And it is only through Him pouring out Himself into us by His Spirit that we then can even begin to feel that unique wonderful love.  Can you trust someone you don’t love? Not much I would say.  So what happens in the natural, we pour in to the relationship investing time, resources and ourselves.  As we trust in Him, Christ will make his home in our hearts.  Being filled with his Spirit and praying in the Holy Ghost build us up and allows us to feel that love of God and that way we can love him back.  Love is a fruit of the Spirit, with out His Spirit we cannot love.

  27. All Glory and Honor Belong to Him

    20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, 21 Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.

    Lord we thank you and we praise you

  28. And this is God’s plan: Both Gentiles and Jews who believe the Good News share equally in the riches inherited by God’s children. Both are part of the same body, and both enjoy the promise of blessings because they belong to Christ Jesus. By God’s grace and mighty power, I have been given the privilege of serving him by spreading this Good News. (‭Ephesians‬ ‭3‬:‭6-7‬ NLT)
    To enjoy the blessings we must first be a blessing. We must work together and serve. To serve God and fulfill his plan we are to reach the lost, teaching them about true salvation.

  29. Verses 14-19 MSG “My response is to get down on my knees before the Father, this magnificent Father who parcels out all heaven and earth. I ask him to strengthen you by his Spirit—not a brute strength but a glorious inner strength—that Christ will live in you as you open the door and invite him in. And I ask him that with both feet planted firmly on love, you’ll be able to take in with all followers of Jesus the extravagant dimensions of Christ’s love. Reach out and experience the breadth! Test its length! Plumb the depths! Rise to the heights! Live full lives, full in the fullness of God.” As the body of Christ, we too should respond this day by getting down on our knees and ask that he do the same today. For every person we come in contact with and share this gospel with…..Lord let them hear you, feel you and take in your love, truly living in your fullness.

  30. 17 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love

    AMEN! That my heart may dwell but only with the love of God! That people may be able to see a difference in me from last year, last month, and last week! I don’t want to be the same as I was I want to be an impact to people that I talk to and make them want what I have!!! I am blessed to be a Pentecostal because I know the power that Jesus Christ has!!! Many people mourn on the blessings that Jesus “used” to do back in the day when they don’t realize that God is still the same TODAY!!! Don’t let the devil deceive you or distract you from the true blessings that God has for you! God is no exception of persons and is willing to bless anybody just because of his great mercy and love that He has for us!!!! I want to love like you Jesus!!!! Thank you for your Word!!! 🙂

  31. Gentiles!!!! 1. For this cause I Paul, the prisoner of Je’-sus Christ for you Gen’-tiles, 2. If ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given me to you-ward: 3. How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery; (as I wrote afore in few words, 4. Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ) 1Cor. 4 : 1 5. Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spir’-it; 6. That the Gen’-tiles should be fellowheirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel: I AM VICTORIOUS THROUGH CHRIST JESUS !!!!! Hallelujah !!!!!

  32. 20 Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think. (NLT)

    INFINITELY MORE

    Webster dictionary defines INFINITELY as no limits, endless, immeasurable.

    The verse says through His Mighty Power, infinitely more can be accomplished. It continues to state that we might ask or think. It doesn’t state we have to beg and bargain with God, simply ask.
