2 Thessalonians 3

1 Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you:

2 And that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men: for all men have not faith.

3 But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil.

4 And we have confidence in the Lord touching you, that ye both do and will do the things which we command you.

5 And the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patient waiting for Christ.

6 Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition which he received of us.

7 For yourselves know how ye ought to follow us: for we behaved not ourselves disorderly among you;

8 Neither did we eat any man’s bread for nought; but wrought with labour and travail night and day, that we might not be chargeable to any of you:

9 Not because we have not power, but to make ourselves an ensample unto you to follow us.

10 For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.

11 For we hear that there are some which walk among you disorderly, working not at all, but are busybodies.

12 Now them that are such we command and exhort by our Lord Jesus Christ, that with quietness they work, and eat their own bread.

13 But ye, brethren, be not weary in well doing.

14 And if any man obey not our word by this epistle, note that man, and have no company with him, that he may be ashamed.

15 Yet count him not as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother.

16 Now the Lord of peace himself give you peace always by all means. The Lord be with you all.

17 The salutation of Paul with mine own hand, which is the token in every epistle: so I write.

18 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.

  1. 11 For we hear that there are some which walk among you disorderly, working not at all, but are busybodies.

12 Now them that are such we command and exhort by our Lord Jesus Christ, that with quietness they work, and eat their own bread.

13 But ye, brethren, be not weary in well doing.

I pray today that my words will be salt and not harsh words. I love you Jesus. And I pray that I can love the church more and more everyday. The pastor or brotheren of the gospel adhere to thier words because most likely it comes from God(Jesus).

  2. The beginning of this chapter continues to urge us to pray for one another. Verse 1 MSG “One more thing, friends: Pray for us. Pray that the Master’s Word will simply take off and race through the country to a groundswell of response, just as it did among you.”

The middle of the chapter warns us about laziness. Verse 13 CEV “Dear friends, you must never become tired of doing right.” Same verse MSG “Friends, don’t slack off in doing your duty.” We cannot allow ourselves to become this way, for not only our salvation is at stake; but, others as well.

The end of the chapter verse 17 MSG “I, Paul, bid you good-bye in my own handwriting. I do this in all my letters, so examine my signature as proof that the letter is genuine” spoke to me about knowing your Master. Will you recognize Truth??? Will you know when something or someone is genuine? Will you see or recognize your Master’s signature (hand)? Know Truth….Know Jesus.

  3. 11 For we hear that there are some which walk among you disorderly, working not at all, but are busybodies.

Our church should always be working together in unity, and in love. Read yesterday’s post and it is important that we can come together giving each other a helping hand. There is no greater blessing as to serve your
Ephesians 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Just a reminder We are not saved by works but by grace but although we are NOT saved by works, we must remain busy with work as we await out Lord Jesus Christ.
1 Cor 14:40 Let all things be done decently and in order.
God is a god of order, HE CAME TO ESTABLISH THAT ORDER AND PEACE in the chaos of this world.

  4. Now may the Lord of peace himself give you his peace at all times and in every situation. The Lord be with you all. (‭2 Thessalonians‬ ‭3‬:‭16‬ NLT)

  5. 10 For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.

11 For we hear that there are some which walk among you disorderly, working not at all, but are busybodies.

12 Now them that are such we command and exhort by our Lord Jesus Christ, that with quietness they work, and eat their own bread.

When one doesn’t work, he has idle time to think up mischief. Also, it is od’s commandment that we work. Adam was told to tend the garden and then he was driven from the garden to toil. Paul also is saying in this chapter that he owes no man anything but he worked for his sustenance.

  6. 3. But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil.

    3. Still, the Lord is true to His promises; He will hold you up and guard you against the evil one. Voice

We serve a faithful God who is true to His promises! I often fail Him, but He has never failed me and has never let me down. Just keep the Faith and keep holding on to whatever He has promised you; in His time, it shall come to pass.

  7. 3 But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil.

4 And we have confidence in the Lord touching you, that ye both do and will do the things which we command you.

The Lord is faithful in what He tells us in His Word that He will do, so He expects the same faithfulness out of us .that we will follow His word and live a holy life and work for Him in His kingdom, winning souls and spreading the Gospel of Christ.
This Gospel is not just for us ,but for our children and to those that are near and far! It is our responsibility to carry the Gospel to others and to let them see Christ that lives in us !!

  8. 10 For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.

11 For we hear that there are some which walk among you disorderly, working not at all, but are busybodies.

You hear the old proverb that if a man does not work he will not eat. Well here it is in Paul’s writing the value of eating and the importance of working. If we are busy working we want have time to be busybodies walking disorderly spreading lies and causing discord. God does not want us to be fellowshipping people that sow discord and cause division in the church. Those that walk disorderly and spread rumors among the church are marked. I would not want God to mark me! There is one man in the bible that God marked, Cain and he was evil and murdered his brother. If we sow discord we will be marked as murders.

  9. iLove to eat MAS Word

    By All Means
16 Now the Lord of peace himself give you peace always “by all means”. The Lord be with you all.

Unfortunately I have only a few minutes this morning left, however, I never really knew that the popular phrase “By all means” was recorded in the Word of God. That is pretty cool! We need peace at POFW…by all means

  10. Do you have fruit?

11 For we hear that there are some which walk among you disorderly, working not at all, but are busybodies.

What’s wrong with being busy? That is what we are supposed to do right; be busy for the Kingdom of God? The real question is what are you busy doing?

Busybodies micromanage all meetings, gatherings, events and affairs whether or not they are the director or have anything to do with the leadership. They notify all everyone about the proper means and methods of raising their children, managing their households, and directing their spouses. Since they know more about everything than anyone else, they offered unsolicited commands disguised as suggestions to the other church members, leaders and the sales managers at Wal-Mart. In essence, they minded everyone else’s business. One other trait of busybodies: They are far too busy minding the business of all within their reach to mind their own business, to care for their own children, to manage their own households or reach for the lost.

Don’t get me wrong, these people are hard workers. They rarely have a free moment. So, how can we tell if we are a busybody? Do we have fruit for our efforts? Have we brought someone to church? Have we held someone’s hand while they reached for God?

Do we have alter relationships (the praying alter – not the change in character definition – although both definitions do apply to this question)?

  11. 2 Thessalonians 3:6-7 (Wuest – The New Testament: An Expanded Translation)
6 Now, we command you, brethren, in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, that you keep away from every brother [Christian] who orders his behavior in an insubordinate manner [having an insufficient inclination to disciplined work], and who does not order his behavior according to the teaching which you received and which was delivered by us for you to pass on to others. 7 For you yourselves know perfectly well how it is a necessity in the nature of the case for you to emulate us, that we did not act in an insubordinate manner among you,

    2 Thessalonians 3:6-7 (The Message)
6 Our orders—backed up by the Master, Jesus—are to refuse to have anything to do with those among you who are lazy and refuse to work the way we taught you. Don’t permit them to freeload on the rest. 7 We showed you how to pull your weight when we were with you, so get on with it.

Insubordinate – defiant of authority, disobedient to others

Insubordination is the opposite of submission. It is an act of pride. Laziness is an act of insubordination. When we refuse because we don’t feel like it we are guilty of rebellion in the kingdom of God.

The military defines insubordination this way The chain of command is the primary way the military maintains order and performs its duties in the most efficient way possible. If a service member behaves in a way that disrupts the chain of command, she could be reprimanded for insubordination. The precise definitions of different types of insubordination are contained in Articles 89-92 of the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ). In general, a service member is guilty of insubordination if he assaults, disobeys, or disrespectfully treats a superior officer, regardless of whether that officer is in the same branch of the military or even within that service member’s direct chain of command.

Insubordination can bring about terrible consequences in the natural and spiritual world. Here Paul tells us to not hang around with the insubordinate and lazy.

Remember to be careful who you hang around with because “stupid rubs off.” By choosing the wrong crowd we can end up falling to rebellion, and sin. The cure is to follow and live by this scripture.

James 4:6-7 (Wuest – The New Testament: An Expanded Translation)
6 Moreover, He [the Holy Spirit] gives greater grace. For this reason [in conformity with this] He [the Holy Spirit] says, God sets himself in battle array against the arrogant and haughty but gives grace to the humble and lowly. 7 Be subject with implicit obedience to God at once and once for all. Stand immovable against the onset of the devil and he will flee from you.

  12. 13 But ye, brethren, be not weary in well doing.
14 And if any man obey not our word by this epistle, note that man, and have no company with him, that he may be ashamed.
15 Yet count him not as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother

So many times we read this passage and see the statement ,”have no company with him.” This is true ,yet we often fail to see ,admonish him as a brother. As Christians we are accused of not ‘loving’ everyone. This is not true. We must have brotherly love.

    More love
    More revival.

  13. 2 And that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men: for all men have not faith.

3 But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil.

4 And we have confidence in the Lord touching you, that ye both do and will do the things which we command you.
In this passage of scripture s the bible tells us that God who is faithful, will deliver and keep us from evil doings. Also that our confidence should be in God and do his will keep his commands.

  14. 3 But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil.
4 And we have confidence in the Lord touching you, that ye both do and will do the things which we command you.

We serve a faithful God! We should have our whole trust in Him and full confidence that He will always be for us.

  15. 5 May the Master take you by the hand and lead you along the path of God’s love and Christ’s endurance.

6 Our orders – backed up by the Master, Jesus – are to refuse to have anything to do with those among you who are lazy and refuse to work the way we taught you. Don’t permit them to freeload on the rest.

7 We showed you how to pull your weight when we were with you, so get on with it.

8 We didn’t sit around on our hands expecting others to take care of us. In fact, we worked our fingers to the bone, up half the night moonlighting so you wouldn’t be burdened with taking care of us. MSG
It’s sad to say but some people only will work if you praise them over and over…They don’t want to do nothing behind closed doors where no one sees their work, I appreciate our church cleaners, hospitality team and all the ones that do things for God’s kingdom that isn’t noticed alot. I’m not saying it’s not okay to get a job well done when neccessary but not all the time. It’s time we all pull our weight and not depend on one person all the time. If you see paper in the floor at the church or parking lot what does it hurt to bend over to pick it up, it is not just the cleaners that have to do that. I was taught you wanna eat you gotta work, in today’s world it is a shame that a man will not work and take care of his family. It is high time that the men become men and lead his house under God’s direction. I’m thankful for a praying husband and keeps me on the straight road ( that’s a hard job since i’m hard headed)… 🙂
Let’s all work together and see what God will and can do for POFW!!!!!

  16. NLT of 2 Thess. 3:11
“Yet we hear some of you are living idle lives, refusing to work and meddling in other people’s business.”

This scripture reminds me of the saying, “idle hands are the devil’s workshop.”
God did not call us to be idle saints, but workers (laborers) together.
Idleness comes from not having a specific goal or purpose in mind, and with no goal, no purpose, no particulare thing to do, one will easily be distracted and lead into sin. And believe me, the devil is all to eager to find things to occupy our time with. (Like being busybodies which is sin.)
It was not part of Paul’s lifestyle to sit idlely by while others worked, and it shouldn’t be a part of our lifestyle either. There is work to be done for the Kingdom of God.
So, I encourage my brothers and sisters in the Lord today to “be not weary in well doing.” (vs. 13)

MORE Work for the Kingdom of God!

  17. MORE WORK – GET A JOB

10 For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.
11 For we hear that there are some which walk among you disorderly, working not at all, but are busybodies.

The Apostle uses the strong word COMMANDED you. If any would not WORK they should not eat. This scripture strongly discredits welfare systems that do not require any form of WORK. This scripture also indicates that it is wrong to feed those that will not WORK.

My thought is along the SPIRITUAL lines.

How often do people show up to EAT BREAD of the WORD of GOD and MANNA from heaven in HIS presence and DRINK of HIS spiritual cup, but have done NO WORK for HIM. No phone calls, no outreach, no Bible Studies, no calls of encouragement, no cleaning the church, no cutting the grass, no painting the walls, no straightening the chairs, no picking up trash, no washing the church vehicles, no administrative assistance, no WORK but still eat at every service.

I encourage all of us to be MORE COMMITTED to do WORK in and for HIS Kingdom. Find the PLACE you FIT in the BODY of Christ @ThePOFW. The WORD of GOD commanded us to such.

  18. 2 Thessalonians 3:11 We hear that some among you are idle and disruptive. They are not busy they are busy bodie.such people we command and urge in the Lord Jesus Christ to settle down and earn the food they eat. And as for you brothers and sisters never tire of doing what is good. Take special note of anyone who does not obey our instruction in this letter. Do not associate with them in order that they may feel ashamed. Yet do not regard them as an enemy but warm them as you would a fellow believer.

  19. MORE SEPARATION

6 Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition which he received of us.

14 And if any man obey not our word by this epistle, note that man, and have no company with him, that he may be ashamed.
15 Yet count him not as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother.

It is not frequent that 2 times in the same chapter to address the same subject. However we glean from this writing that the Apostle in his final letter to the Thessalonians drives this point home and establishes it to the reader.

Stubborn, Disorderly, Disobedient, Rebellious should not be coddled, cradled or condoned for their attitudes, actions or activities. They should be admonished as a brother or (sister). Speaking the TRUTH in LOVE.

Admonish – 3560. noutheteo, noo-thet-eh´-o; to put in mind, i.e. (by implication) to caution or reprove gently: — admonish, warn.

The purpose is not to shame them but to bring them back into the body. Withdraw and have no company. This SEPARATION gives them opportunity to HEAR from the LORD.

    iRepent
    iPraise
    iPray
    iWork
    iGive
    iReap

  20. 1 Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you:

Giving God the liberty in our lives for His word to work in us is very important. We can hear the word on a daily basis, but if we don’t allow the Word and His Spirit to mold us and make us, it is all for naught. We must let the Word have free course, placing us on the potter’s wheel when necessary, breaking us, shaping us, causing us to grow up in Him.

I Cor 3: 2 I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able.

3 For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men?

We must become mature in the Spirit. Get off the milk (the top layer of the word) and get into some meat (the Godly living principles, intercession, deep waters)

Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

  21. 11 For we hear that there are some which walk among you disorderly, working not at all, but are busybodies.

Keeping busy is not always working. We find that when David laid out of the battle he found himself in busy about the wrong thing and in trouble. Our most valuable commodity as a human is time and when we don’t sow it wisely it is waisted and lacks value. The busybodies look like they are working to the unknowing but to those who know better they are just actors. When my house is on fire I want the real fire department out not the guys who play them in the movies. The same goes for the work of the kingdom. A real firefighter might have soot and smoke all over him but you can tell he’s been at work. I, as a christain, should have the work of the ministry in me so much that people can see God on, in, and through me. The test of true Godly work in the kingdom versus busybodies is the results that it produces. Real work produces results.

  22. Just obey his command, and have those spiritual ears to hear what he would have you to do. Obey the word, listen for it. Jesus promised us we would know his voice, hear the word! Faith commeth by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. So, we must keep reading it, hearing it, praying it, follow it, and keep listening to the word being preached by God’s Vessel, our Pastor. Remembering, that he is God’s mouth piece to assist us as the Body of Christ, to discover or be changed by the word/message preached. But, having our hearts directed into the LOVE of GOD, and being patient waiting on our Savior Jesus Christ. God expects things be in order, and we are warned to withdraw ourselves from those who don’t walk like they should. May God, help us all stay the course, and help those who venture off, Oh Lord, bring them back, in Jesus name, Amen. God forgive me, for the times I have fallen off course, help me stay the course, in Jesus name, Amen. Remember, your mercy & grace, your mercies from of old, I plead the blood of Jesus………………

    “I believe it’s time for a Holy Love Revival”……….”SANCTIFIED”
    “IN JESUS NAME, AMEN.”

  23. 11We hear that some among you are idle and disruptive. They are not busy; they are busybodies.

The saying “An idle mind is the devil’s playground” is so true. When you leave a child alone in a room they will find themselves something to keep themselves busy. Spiritually the Thessalonians are children, an like most children can make a mess. Paul says that it is literally disruptive, or disorderly to be idle. It leads to spiritual sleep, deafness, lameness, blindness etc. He says that they are not busy, they are busybodies. This means that they aren’t busy for the gospel instead they are busy for themselves, and up in other peoples business, causing discord. Paul writes that when we come across someone in this rut to not regard them as an enemy, but warn them as you would a fellow believer. Encouraging them to find a place of recommitment to Jesus, to get busy working in the kingdom.

  24. 10 Even while we were with you, we gave you this command: “Those unwilling to work will not get to eat.”

A great chapter on working for a living. Not only physical labor, but working for the kingdom of God. Physically, if don’t work, we don’t get paid and no food on the table. God wants us to spiritually work also. Do your part for the kingdom, what are you doing to strengthen the body of Christ? There is always a spiritual job position in the house of the Lord, seek God’s guidance and apply for it.

  25. 3 But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil.
AMEN!!! My God protects me and watches over me because I am His child 🙂 No better protection than Jesus 🙂 I am so blessed that I found the light and the truth…I have hope now, faith that I never thought was possible to have! Jesus has completely changed my life upside down because His Word is true!!! Thank you Jesus for protecting my family and me from evil!!! We are your children and we know that if you take care of all the animals how much more do you take care of us 🙂 THANK YOU FOR YOUR MERCY!!!!

  26. 11 For we hear that there are some which walk among you disorderly, working not at all, but are busybodies.

    περιεργάζομαι periergázomai
Busybody – someone that is involved in needless and useless affairs.

Basically someone that acts and looks busy in the kingdom of God trying to deceive others but really deceiving themselves.

They feel or thing that they are doing something but how the Word describes them “doing nothing”.

Let’s get busy doing the work that God loves and start reaching and seeking for the lost and not get caught doing nothing!

  27. 14 And if any man obey not our word by this epistle, note that man, and have no company with him, that he may be ashamed.

15 Yet count him not as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother.

We are not meant to cut off our brothers and sisters completely. When we see one doing wrong as this chapter has said we are to distance ourselves and in love admonish them. If we cut them off then we leave them open to the enemy, but if we continue to speak to them in love and correct them then we help give them the support to get back in line with God.

  28. 3 But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil.

My God is faithful! In him do I put my trust, on him do I cast my burdens. He alone will I worship and he alone will I praise. My God is worthy. He is MORE than able, he will sustain me. He has never failed me nor will he ever let me down. King of kings and ruler of everything. With all resources in his hand does he stretch it out to me. My God is faithful and in him do I put my trust.

  29. 11 For we hear that there are some which walk among you disorderly, working not at all, but are busybodies.

    Busy doing nothing!

Lives become distracted and weary when they are so busy being busy bodies instead of being busy working in “The Body”- the body of Christ. They are too busy gaining and eating for themselves that they leave nothing for others. They also have nothing to give. Eating of the fruit of the word yet never producing fruit to give to others. So, yes technology they are busy but not productive.

It take a powerful Man or woman of God to become fruitfully productive in the kingdom.

  30. 10 For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat. 11 For we hear that there are some which walk among you disorderly, working not at all, but are busybodies. Unfortunately we also live in a day where many that could do something, do nothing productive, yet have ample time to be busybodies.

14 And if any man obey not our word by this epistle, note that man, and have no company with him, that he may be ashamed. Dear God, help me to be observant of my ways; “Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done”. What a mighty God we serve! Thank God for his word. God bless America, Jerusalem, and you all in Jesus name, Amen!

  31. 2 Thessalonians 3:6
Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition which he received of us.

I have learn that when you surround with people who will draw you close to God, that those are the people you want to be close to, because they will edify you, they will help you grow spiritually.

This verse clearly says to withdraw our self from people that walk disorderly. Sometimes us tent to “hang” around people who are not good company. People who are negative to the will of God, people who are against Pastors, people who insted of edifying drestroy. Those are the people we need to stay away.

If there is people in our lives that we can learn from them spiritually, get close to them. I had to learn this the hard way. Finally I realized that when you surround your self with people who love God, y our going to love God, people who worship, you are gonna worship, people who pray, you will pray.
My Dad always used to tell us…

TELL ME WHO YOU HANG AROUND, AND I WILL TELL YOU… WHO YOU ARE!!!

  32. Endurance

    2 Thessalonians 3:5 NLT
May the Lord lead your hearts into a full understanding and expression of the love of God and the patient endurance that comes from Christ.

We finish the race by enduring til the end, which comes by drawing nearer to God in completeness in knowledge, deed, and character. It calls for a surrender of our minds, our hands, and who and what we are. As our hearts are lead by this way to be perfected in Christ, we will be set upon the path of endurance that will lead us through to the end:

    Matthew 24:13
But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

  33. 6 Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition which he received of us.

In my experience when I used to hang around believers that really didn’t do anything for the kingdom and just would sit around warming up the benches and criticising everything the pastor or the leaders did wrong. I found myself also doing the same thing, being negative, critical, lazy, and taking on their attitude and their characteristics. When we hang around these kind of people we only lose out on our spiritual growth and the blessings God has for us. We hinder ourselves. That’s why it’s better to surround ourselves with people that not only work, but pray, fast, have a positive attitude and are hungry for the things of God, because we will be just like them.

  34. 9 Not because we have not power, but to make ourselves an ensample unto you to follow us.

We are all examples to someone. Sometimes we forget and do silly things, but someone is always looking to us all for what we are doing. God help us to be the Godly examples that you would have us to be everyday.

  35. Paul asked them to pray for him to be delivered from unreasonable and evil men. We should do the same. Foolish conversations invite wrath. It is better that we aren’t involved with these kind of conversation. Also, we are to abstain from every form of evil. Don’t eat with gossipers and don’t sit in the council of the ungodly. Jesus sent the disciples out in pairs. If we willingly put ourselves in groups where we are the only Christians, it is unwise.

  36. 2 Thessalonians 3:1 Finally, dear brothers and sisters, we ask you to pray for us. Pray that the Lord’s message will spread rapidly and be honored wherever it goes, just as when it came to you.

This made me think of the prayer room. This should be one of the priorities that we pray about to help in the kingdom. That the Lord’s message will spread rapidly. Not only thinking about wining the whole city, but thinking about the souls that have already come into our doors. The word needs to reach their hearts, and make a change in them. Pray that their hearts will be softened and that the word reaches them. It needs to spread in us before it reaches the city. Another think I noticed, the scripture reads “pray for us”…who is us? The one’s delivering the word. The man of God, the preacher, the one delivering the Word needs our prayers. That the anointing of God may be upon him, that his mind is clear and can hear the spirit of God, that God’s hand be upon him and give him strength, this is only a few things…but if they are done we can see the fruit of our prayers and watch as the word spreads through our church and into the city.. Let’s pray.

    1 Thessalonians 5:25 (KJV)
    Brethren, pray for us.

    1 Thessalonians 5:25 (KJV)
    Brethren, pray for us.

    1 Thessalonians 5:17 (KJV)
    Pray without ceasing.

  37. Even while we were with you, we gave you this command: “Those unwilling to work will not get to eat.” Yet we hear that some of you are living idle lives, refusing to work and meddling in other people’s business. (‭2 Thessalonians‬ ‭3‬:‭10-11‬ NLT)

If you’re meddling then you don’t have time to work, but if you are working you don’t have time to meddle. Which one are you? It’s important for us to be an example in every aspect of life. People are watching and we shouldn’t give them a reason to discriminate what we do but rather be encouraged enough to want to join in our work.

  38. 13 But ye, brethren, be not weary in well doing.

    No Burnout!
. ” In your patience possess ye your souls .” (Luke 21:19) Too often we are tempted to do things in our own strength because this or that event or answer to prayer doesn’t come right away or in the delay that we have fixed for it. We go off assuming that our will or want is synonymous with God’s will or want just because there is a delay in “getting” a clear answer to what it is we are petitioning about. But is this really the case, or are we not rather jumping the gun and doing things in our own strength instead of by the grace of God?
Walking in our own strength & not his will cause us to become weary. Isaiah 40:31 ” But those that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength…”
Help us Lord to wait (serve) you.

  39. 7 For yourselves know how ye ought to follow us: for we behaved not ourselves disorderly among you;

8 Neither did we eat any man’s bread for nought; but wrought with labour and travail night and day, that we might not be chargeable to any of you:

When you are in the kingdom of God, you do not get things for free, you have to work for it. Even the apostle Paul had to work hard when he preached the gospel to other churches,he couldn’t afford to lose his edge and let life pull him away from his calling God had placed in his heart

  40. 6 Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition which he received of us.

It is our duty as Christians to help sinners to Christ. We must be a light that shines at all times. We cannot allow others to bring us down. Those that would desire to not have part in Christ, we must withdraw ourselves from them. That doesn’t mean don’t talk to them or pray for them. That means we must be watchful of who we hang out with. If you don’t help lift them up, they will help bring you down.

  41. Free course !!!! 1. FINALLY, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you: 2. And that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men: for all men have not faith. 3. But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil. John 17 : 15; 1 Thess. 5 : 24 4. And we have confidence in the Lord touching you, that ye both do and will do the things which we command you. 5. And the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patient waiting for Christ. I LOVE YOU JESUS !!!! I AM VICTORIOUS !!!! I PRAISE YOU JESUS !!!!
