Hebrews 1

1 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,

2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;

3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high:

4 Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.

5 For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son?

6 And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him.

7 And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire.

8 But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom.

9 Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.

10 And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands:

11 They shall perish; but thou remainest; and they all shall wax old as doth a garment;

12 And as a vesture shalt thou fold them up, and they shall be changed: but thou art the same, and thy years shall not fail.

13 But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool?

14 Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?

  1. Selfless acts of LOVE….JESUS💙
    [But] in the last of these days He has spoken to us in [the person of a] Son, Whom He appointed Heir and lawful Owner of all things, also by and through Whom He created the worlds and the reaches of space and the ages of time [He made, produced, built, operated, and arranged them in order]. He is the sole expression of the glory of God [the Light-being, the out-raying or radiance of the divine], and He is the perfect imprint and very image of [God’s] nature, upholding and maintaining and guiding and propelling the universe by His mighty word of power. When He had by offering Himself accomplished our cleansing of sins and riddance of guilt, He sat down at the right hand of the divine Majesty on high, [Taking a place and rank by which] He Himself became as much superior to angels as the glorious Name (title) which He has inherited is different from and more excellent than theirs. (‭Hebrews‬ ‭1‬:‭2-4‬ AMP)

    Without His Mercy, I would be so lost!!

    For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. (‭John‬ ‭3‬:‭16-17‬ KJV)

  2. 4. Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.

    There is no greater name than the Name of JESUS!

    O Lord, our Lord
    How majestic is Your name in all the earth
    O Lord, our Lord
    How majestic is Your name in all the earth

    O Lord, we praise Your name
    O Lord, we magnify Your name
    Prince of peace, mighty God
    O Lord, God Almighty

  3. 8 But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom.

    9 Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.

    Righteousness, our God is a righteous God, is loved by God and he hates iniquity. The word teaches us sin is a reproach to any nation and how much God hates sin. We are flesh and the flesh is week, but after we have been born again God wants us to be righteous. The strive for righteousness will bring us Joy, God will anoint us with the oil of gladness.

  4. 2, “Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;”
    3, “Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;”
    4, “Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.”

    Phillipians 2:9-11
    “Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesu every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”

    JESUS – His name is MORE excellent than any other name. God hath highly exalted him and given him a name which is above every name.

    JESUS, JESUS, JESUS, sweetest name I know!

  5. 13 But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool?
    14 Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?

    I think God is trying to tell us that Angels were created better than men, but God loves men more. There is a contrast of relationship. He explains, by saying He has never invited an angel to sit on His right hand and Just chill while I put your enemies at your feet. Thank you Jesus for Loving Me so, that You will give your life and all for my salvation. You make sure we know how very special we are to You. FOR YOU HAVE CALL ME FRIEND.

  6. Self ignition

    Hebrews 1:7 (KJV Strong’s)
    7 And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire.

    Flame – g5395. φλόξ phlox; from a primary φλέγω phlegō (to “flash” or “flame”); a blaze: — flame(-ing).

    (KJV Strong’s) psalm 104:4 Who maketh his angels spirits;
    his ministers a flaming fire:

    Flaming – h3857. לָהַט lâhaṭ; a primitive root; properly, to lick, i.e. (by implication) to blaze: — burn (up), set on fire, flaming, kindle.

    Real ministers of God have one thing in common, passion. Passion for the word of God, for the ways of God, for the things of God, and for the people of God.

    He makes his ministers blaze with fire. The church is to be so effective we kindle the fire of God everywhere we go. We are all ministers so we should all be set on fire.

    40 days of fire isn’t just about igniting our world, it is about igniting ourselves. When we catch on fire we spread it all around us.

    Joel 2:3 (KJV Strong’s)
    3 A fire devoureth before them;
    and behind them a flame burneth:
    the land is as the garden of Eden before them,
    and behind them a desolate wilderness;
    yea, and nothing shall escape them.

  7. And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands: They shall perish; but thou remainest; and they all shall wax old as doth a garment; (‭Hebrews‬ ‭1‬:‭10-11‬ KJV)

    Eternal
    Jesus is the eturnal Lord who was thee in the beginning. He rolled everything out with his own hands. He is glorious. He shall not perish, but remain forever.

  8. Hebrews 1:1
    God who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the pprophets.

    God wants us to still have faith and peace and grace ut we have to have manners for are father in heaven to get to his kingdom more manners and more revival . AMEN

  9. 14 Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?

    The Lord has provided angels to guard and watch over us as long as we are obeying his word and have obtained salvation through the Holy Ghost.

  10. If your happy and you know say AMEN!

    9 Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.

    The Lord has anointed us joy; not just some or a little but more than our fellows. While I may not appear to be a happy person at times, I have been told my face is generally in a frown I am happy in my heart. It only takes a minute when I start to feel down to reflect on what God is and has done for me and my joy returns.

    I have the joy, joy, joy, joy down in my heart
    Where?
    Down in my heart
    Where?
    Down in my heart
    I have the joy, joy, joy, joy down in my heart
    Down in my heart to stay

    And if the Devil doesn’t like it
    He can sit on a tack!
    Ouch!

  11. Hebrews 1:8-9
    But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom. Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.

    The word righteousness in these verses are 2 different words. The first one being euthytēs meaning rectitude. Rectitude meaning moral integrity. The Lord rules with moral integrity.
    The second word is dikaiosynē meaning in a broad sense: state of him who is as he ought to be, righteousness, the condition acceptable to Godthe doctrine concerning the way in which man may attain a state approved of Godintegrity, virtue, purity of life, rightness, correctness of thinking feeling, and acting.
    If we fall in love with this righteousness then God will anoint us with gladness 🙂

  12. And again to the Son, You, Master, started it all, laid earth’s foundations, then crafted the stars in the sky. Earth and sky will wear out, but not you; they become threadbare like an old coat; You’ll fold them up like a worn-out cloak, and lay them away on the shelf. But you’ll stay the same, year after year; you’ll never fade, you’ll never wear out. (‭Hebrews‬ ‭1‬:‭10-12‬ MSG)

    I’m so thankful that our Lord remains the same. The sky could fall apart but He remains. The things the way we know it could fade away but He still remains.

    Jesus Christ (the Messiah) is [always] the same, yesterday, today, [yes] and forever (to the ages). (‭Hebrews‬ ‭13‬:‭8‬ AMP)

  13. 14 Are not the angels all ministering spirits (servants) sent out in the service [of God for the assistance] of those who are to inherit salvation?

    Just as Bro. Shatwell taught us Sunday Night

    Angel of Reaping
    Angel of Harvest
    Angel of Revival
    You are Welcome Here!

    Looking forward to an incredible move of God tonight!

  14. 12 And as a vesture shalt thou fold them up, and they shall be changed: but thou art the same, and thy years shall not fail.

    Though on this earth we grow old, we show our age. But God? NO he stays the same, all the years he has watched over the earth, created the earth, or visioned the earth HE HAS NOT CHANGED AND HE WILL NEVER CHANGE!

  15. vs-13
    The right hand is the traditional place of power and authority in the biblical world. Christ not only laid the foundations of the earth and possesses endless life and existence He also exercises all the power and authority.

  16. MORE GLADNESS

    9 Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.

    The desire of our hearts become evident by the topics of our conversation, the paths of our feet and the attitude of our spirit. GOD knows the thought and intent of every heart, GOD is the author of opportunity and by HIM actions are weighed.

    Once we hear something taught, we then have knowledge of the fact. This is why it is imperative for us to pay attention in church. As we grow deeper in love and become more attracted to righteousness, we naturally become less enticed and drawn away to iniquity. The FRUIT of this process is GLADNESS. Sad, sour people live in that state primarily because of sin. Unforgiveness is the most oft recognized sin in these cases of people that have knowledge and no gladness. Ungiveness is one of the boldest displays of pride and iniquity and rob the offender of amy hope for MORE GLADNESS from the LORD.

  17. iLove to eat MORE Word

    Hebrews 1:1
    (1) “God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,(2) Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds”

    Notice that the Word says God spoke by angels in the past, (Hebrews 2:2 For if the word spoken by angels was stedfast…) but that in the last days has spoken to us by the Son. The question screams out, why didn’t God just speak through the Son? Most Trinitarians cannot give a good answer, but we can. The Word became flesh. The Lord spoke through angels before he had a body to speak through. He spoke through them.

  18. And, “You, Lord, laid the foundation of the earth in the beginning, and the heavens are the work of your hands; they will perish, but you remain; they will all wear out like a garment, like a robe you will roll them up, like a garment they will be changed. But you are the same, and your years will have no end.” (‭Hebrews‬ ‭1‬:‭10-12‬ ESV)

  19. 13 But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool?
    14 Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?

    If Angels could preach.

  20. Hebrews 1 set the stage that Jesus is perior to all. He is the joy and the “light of my salvation in whom shall I fear” “he is the strength of my life” (psalm 51:12; psalm 27)You cannot find perfect joy and strength in any other because there is no other name by which we can be saved. (Acts 4:12)

    You can’t “be good” enough, you can’t buy it, you can’t totally imagine Him and His love towards us. In our lowest moments He looks at us and says I will love you through this.

  21. 13 But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool?
    14 Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?
    The angels with all their power and glory are loved by God but not loved as much as we are. He has allowed us to receive salvation and His grace which is something the angels have never received and for that I am grateful.

  22. 1 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,

    2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;

    There is only one God and his name is Jesus. His name is above all names. He is mighty and powerful, he reigns.

    I glorify your Holy name Jesus, Lord of Lord’s, King of King’s.

  23. 9 Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows

    Love righteousness, hate iniquity, walk with God and these things who’ll be second nature us.we won’t even have to try.

  24. 1 Long ago God spoke many times and in many ways to our ancestors through the prophets.

    Many want to say ordinary men wrote the bible. But this verse confirms, that God used men by speaking to them to write the bible. The prophets were all inspired by God and the holy spirit. And God continues to use men to this day, to spread the gospel of Jesus.

  25. 14 Are not all angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation? NIV
    This verse reminds me of the preaching we heard this last weekend if angels could preach…
    We never know we are going to encounter an angel so be careful you are not turning your back on someone that God sent your way.

  26. Angels are ministers, but are not called “Son.” They have a name which implies a more humble rank and office – the name “spirit,” and the appellation of a “flame of fire.” They obey his will as the winds and the lightning do. The “object” Paul is describing their service to God in a ministerial capacity – as the winds do; while the Son is Lord of all. One serves him passively, as being wholly under his control; the other acts as Lord over all, and is addressed and regarded as being God (oneness). He quotes Psalm 104:4 Who maketh his angels winds, and his ministers a flame of fire;” that is, “who makes his angels like the winds, or as swift as the winds, and his ministers as rapid, as terrible, and as resistless as the lightning.” The intention of the Psalmist is to describe the “invisible” as well as the “visible” majesty of God, and that he refers to the angels as a part of the company which makes up His glory. The reason why Paul, I believe brought up the subject here is because so many Jews had a superstitious or idolatrous respect for angels, because they had seen the Divine will carried out by their ministry. They looked upon them as mediators between God and men, and some went so far as to pay them a kind of worship.To prove this, several Scriptures are brought from the Old Testament. He is Lord of all, and we as His children have complete access and His Spirit living through us. This is why we can pray that angels minister, guide, protect etc.

  27. 7 And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire.

    We are quickly approaching 40 days of MORE FIRE. We are all ministers, epistles, known and read of all men. What does the level of fire tell others? are we just embers that once burned bright? Are we alive and jubilant in telling others about what God has done and is done? Are we like a roaring fire, that others will immediately see the God in our lives?

    We must examine our fire, and if it is not holy ghost hot, we need a revival in our spirit!

  28. God sent angles to watch over and protect man, as long as we stay within his covering.

    11) They shall perish; but thou remainest; and they shall all wax as old as doth a garment

  29. What could you say to sum it up in this scripture except…………… Awesome…Wow…Great God Almighty…

    He’s going to make our enemies our footstool, and his angels as all ministering spirits to the heirs of salvation! Meaning we have “BACKUP”…………………
    Thank you Lord Jesus Christ for all that you have done or doing, and we can use all the help we can get. Please send more “BACKUP”……….More Holy Ghost too…
    “Remember he said “ALL” ministering spirits”……….”Nothing Lacking”……….

    13 But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool?

    14 Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?

    “WE GOT BACKUP”………………………………………………………………….

  30. “Additional Entry”……….

    Here’s a joke regarding an old married couple. When the wife was asked about her relationship with her husband. Her reply was that their marriage of 30 years has been great. That he always makes the coffee, she explained it is written in the Bible. Then the next question was, WHERE? Her reply…..”HE BREWS”…….

    “HEBREWS”

  31. 2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;

    In these last days He is and will be speaking to us cause He is our God. He is who leads us to work in His Kingdom and for His body. We must remember that He is our creator and knows what we need and what we are capable of.

  32. 11 They shall perish; but thou remainest; and they all shall wax old as doth a garment;

    12 And as a vesture shalt thou fold them up, and they shall be changed: but thou art the same, and thy years shall not fail.

    Consistancy is a virtue.

    I pray and thankyou Jesus. For keeping me in the faith and truth for 10years. Ive withered with the wind sonetimes but you, Jesus brought me back to the fold. Not everyone has the truth which is Jesus is God, and we excepect him by repenting our ways and laying them down at Jesus feet. Then with the evidence of speaking in tongues we are filled with Jesus’ spirit…then we get baptized in Jesus Name. What a wonder we have in Jesus. It may sound like alot to do, but its what the word says in order to go to heaven and be with Jesus.

    No flesh can enter into heaven.
    So lets spread the word to someone not in the flesh but in the spirit.
    Thankyou Jesus…love You my savior.

  33. 14 Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?

    Oh how great a love, that the creater of the heavens and the earth, would send His ministering spirits to us…

  34. “And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands”. The word of God (Jesus) clearly tells all, of his might and oneness. (James 2:19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.) Dear God, help me to see you more clearly; “Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done”. What a mighty God we serve! Thank God for his word. God bless America, Jerusalem, and you all in Jesus name, Amen!

  35. 14 Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?

    The Lord cares for his people and ministers to those who have partaken of his mercy and his grace. He promises are ye and amen.

    And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. -Romans 8:17
    And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. -John 14:3

    Salvation is mine!

  36. The Son as Creator

    Hebrews 1:10
    And,
    “You, Lord, in the beginning laid the foundation of the earth,
    And the heavens are the works of Your hands;

    Jesus made the earth. Jesus is God. Jesus is YHWH incarnate. Amen.

  37. Therefore, angels are only servants—spirits sent to care for people who will inherit salvation. (‭Hebrews‬ ‭1‬:‭14‬ NLT)

    The Angels serve us as we serve Christ. We are all in a line of setvanthood to ultimately magnify the king of kings. What a blessing!

  38. 8 But about the Son he says, “Your throne, O God, will last for ever and ever; a scepter of justice will be the scepter of your kingdom.
    9 You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness; therefore God, your God, has set you above your companions by anointing you with the oil of joy.”[e]
    12 You will roll them up like a robe; like a garment they will be changed. But you remain the same, and your years will never end.”[f]
    I pray that God you will show me the way in my life to love the things you love and hate the things you hate. What a mighty God!! A Never ending God!!! Let your righteousness reign FOREVER!!! 🙂

  39. Hebrews 1:3 He is the sole expression of the glory of God the Light-being, the out-raying or radiance of the divine, and He is the perfect imprint and very image of God’s nature, upholding and maintaining and guiding and propelling the universe by His mighty word of power. When He had by offering Himself accomplished our cleansing of sins and riddance of guilt, He sat down at the right hand of the divine Majesty on high,

    Another revelation of God, being explained as he came down in flesh. I love the way this verse in the amplified version puts it.  Jesus, is the sole expression of the glory of God…. God himself.

  40. 7 And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers

    If you want to be close to God you have to be on fire!

  41. 2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;

    3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high:

  42. 8 But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom.

    This passage is such a great ONE God reference! Add this to so many others and it is clear that Jesus is God.

  43. Verse 4 NLT “This shows that the Son is far greater than the angels, just as the name God gave him is greater than their names.” There is only one God and his name is Jesus!

  44. But Thou !!!! 10. And Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands: 11. They shall perish; but thou remainest; and they all shall wax old as doth a garment; Isa. 34 : 4 12. And as a vesture shalt thou fold them up, and they shall be changed: but thou art the same, and thy years shall not fail. I Love you Jesus !!!! I Praise you Jesus !!!! Thank you Jesus for coming into my life !!!! I exalt you Jesus !!!!
