Hebrews 9

1 Then verily the first covenant had also ordinances of divine service, and a worldly sanctuary.

2 For there was a tabernacle made; the first, wherein was the candlestick, and the table, and the shewbread; which is called the sanctuary.

3 And after the second veil, the tabernacle which is called the Holiest of all;

4 Which had the golden censer, and the ark of the covenant overlaid round about with gold, wherein was the golden pot that had manna, and Aaron’s rod that budded, and the tables of the covenant;

5 And over it the cherubims of glory shadowing the mercyseat; of which we cannot now speak particularly.

6 Now when these things were thus ordained, the priests went always into the first tabernacle, accomplishing the service of God.

7 But into the second went the high priest alone once every year, not without blood, which he offered for himself, and for the errors of the people:

8 The Holy Ghost this signifying, that the way into the holiest of all was not yet made manifest, while as the first tabernacle was yet standing:

9 Which was a figure for the time then present, in which were offered both gifts and sacrifices, that could not make him that did the service perfect, as pertaining to the conscience;

10 Which stood only in meats and drinks, and divers washings, and carnal ordinances, imposed on them until the time of reformation.

11 But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building;

12 Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.

13 For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh:

14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

15 And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.

16 For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator.

17 For a testament is of force after men are dead: otherwise it is of no strength at all while the testator liveth.

18 Whereupon neither the first testament was dedicated without blood.

19 For when Moses had spoken every precept to all the people according to the law, he took the blood of calves and of goats, with water, and scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book, and all the people,

20 Saying, This is the blood of the testament which God hath enjoined unto you.

21 Moreover he sprinkled with blood both the tabernacle, and all the vessels of the ministry.

22 And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.

23 It was therefore necessary that the patterns of things in the heavens should be purified with these; but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these.

24 For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us:

25 Nor yet that he should offer himself often, as the high priest entereth into the holy place every year with blood of others;

26 For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.

27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:

28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.

  1. Grace won!

    A will or testament is a legal declaration by which a person, the testator, names one or more persons to manage his or her estate and provides for the distribution of his or her property at death. For the devolution of property not disposed of by will, see inheritance and intestacy.

    Though it has at times been thought that a “will” was historically limited to real property while “testament” applies only to dispositions of personal property (thus giving rise to the popular title of the document as “Last Will and Testament”), the historical records show that the terms have been used interchangeably.[1] Thus, the word “will” validly applies to both personal and real property. A will may also create a testamentary trust that is effective only after the death of the testator.

    God saw man’s guilt and would come to solidify our salvation by holding guilt captive and granting us grace. The grace of God is so powerful that when our guilt try to stand next to Grace it cAnt. It has to fall to its knee and worship.

    So, the next time you feel condemnation meditate on Him and the power of His forgiveness and Grace. Read and pray Romans 8 and watch the peace of God surround you. We are His managers of the establishment and building up the Kingdom here on earth as it is in heaven. It is our responsibility to become wise stewards of “THe Church” and ourselves that weven may full full His last wishes. “FEED His sheep and grow the Kingdom.

  2. ONE WAY – THE WAY – CHRIST MY SAVIOR.

    27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
    28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.

    The New Covenant, He is the promised salvation to all and for ALL. The moment Christ died on the cross, we were all given ONE DIRECT PATH to the HOLY OF HOLIEST. Before Christ a priest had to offer the sacrifice of blood for his sins and the sins of the people. The big difference is that the ONE who knew NO SIN, gave voluntarily His PURE, PRECIOUS, HOLY BLOOD for ALL the sins of ALL the people. He gave every single drop of His blood, drained His WHOLE body of blood, not a few, not just enough, His blood is powerful enough that He could of said just one drop or two will take care of everything; but He had no selfishness in Him so He GAVE IT ALL. The human body has about 10 pints of blood. Christ gave ALL OF THEM to give you life and life more abundantly. THANK YOU JESUS FOR YOUR POWERFUL, PRECIOUS BLOOD.

  3. God died for our sins that we may live again. The life, death and resurrection of Jesus is not just some fairytale. It is the truth. It is not some story that we should just feel sad about. We should be happy and thankful that he cares enough to lay down his own life so that our life may be saved. Because of his death on the cross we now have a chance at eternal life.

  4. NIV Heb 9:22 in fact, the law requires that nearly everything be cleansed with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness.
    Thank you JESUS, for dying on the cross for my sins. You gave yourself as THE sacrifice, and also in being GOD you forgive us of our trespasses. Thank you JESUS. GOD, your mercy endureth forever! Amen

  5. 26 For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.

    27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:

    28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.

    The blood of Jesus has washed away our sins by the sacrifice of him own self. It is appointed unto all men to be brought into judgement. The question is will our sins go before us or follow us into judgement. If we repent our sins, they will go before us and be put into the sea of forgiveness. Then they will never be remembered against us, our sins will be washed away by the blood of Jesus Christ.

  6. 7 But into the second went the high priest alone once every year, not without blood, which he offered for himself, and for the errors of the people:

    8 The Holy Ghost this signifying, that the way into the holiest of all was not yet made manifest, while as the first tabernacle was yet standing:

    In the Old testament times, only the High Priest could go into the Holy of holies in the tabernacle of God. And not without a lot of ceremony and steps to go into the Holy place. But today the bible tells us because of Jesus dying for us on the cross, we are temples for his spirit and every one of us can now enter into the Holy of Holies. Though not everyone knows how to enter into his most holy presence.

    But as always, the answer is in the bible, if we are completely turned away from sin, and we seek after God with all our heart and spirit, we will find him and we find his holy place for which we have the privilege to dwell.

    Psalms 91:1-2 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most high shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in him will I trust.

  7. With his own blood—not the blood of goats and calves—he entered the Most Holy Place once for all time and secured our redemption forever. (‭Hebrews‬ ‭9‬:‭12‬ NLT)

    What can wash away my sins?
    Nothing but the blood of Jesus.
    What can make me whole again?
    Ohh nothing but the blood of Jesus.
    Oh precious is the flow.
    Makes me White as snow.
    No other fount I know
    nothing but the blood of Jesus

    What can wash away my sin?
    Nothing but the blood in JESUS.

    Thank you Jesus for your blood.

  8. MORE LIFE

    14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

    The Blood of JESUS that ran down his body on the cross of judgment, is the only pure BLOOD that can eternally atone sins.

    The result of the rebellion and disobedience of Adam in the garden has tainted the blood of every born man or woman since that day. JESUS is BEGOTTEN or BORN from a virgin or pure young lady; meaning the eternal SPIRIT of GOD has fathered or begotten him. Science affirms that the Blood in a child comes from the father, meaning the BLOOD of JESUS was created new and fresh by the eternal Spirit of GOD.

    Understanding the deity of JESUS being all GOD and all man on earth, he confounded multitudes, frustrated many and established eternity.

    The Blood of Christ when activated in our lives at an altar of repentance has eternal purpose with present impact. The present impact being that our conscience; the memory of our sins is purged from dead (sinful) works, which frees us to experience MORE LIFE In Christ JESUS because we are not bound by our past sins.

    Thank GOD for the BLOOD!
    I Know it was the BLOOD!
    There is Power in the BLOOD!
    Oh The BOOD of JESUS Washes White as Snow!

    I encourage you today to build an altar of repentance to GOD and place every sin you have committed on that altar (confess it to the LORD). Ask JESUS to cover your past sin with HIS eternal BLOOD and purge your conscience from the dead works of sin and choose today to serve (follow and obey) the LIVING GOD that we may experience MORE LIFE in Christ JESUS.

  9. The bridge

    Hebrews 9:25-28 (KJV Strong’s)
    25 Nor yet that he should offer himself often, as the high priest entereth into the holy place every year with blood of others; 26 For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself. 27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: 28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.

    A great gulf was fixed between us and God. There was no way we would ever be delivered from hopelessness, and despair. We were destined for destruction. Then God almighty stepped in.

    This is was this weekend is all about. While we were yet sinners Christ died for us. He made a way and brought salvation by his own hands. His sacrifice opened the door for our saintly lives. Without his blood we would still be bound by sin, and buried in trespasses. He chose to suffer horrifically to impact eternally.

    I am grateful we serve a God who initiated a rescue plan with man fell rather than leave us to be consumed by our own iniquities.

    The cross bridged hopelessness and the heavenly. That one decision made it possible for light to return where darkness had consumed. The enemy of this world lost his foothold and now the King will soon return!

  10. 25 Nor yet that he should offer himself often, as the high priest entereth into the holy place every year with blood of others;

    What a mighty God we serve that he would die on the cross for our mistakes, that he bears the sins of every one of us. Lord help us to keep a mind of thankfulness for all that you have done for us and that we never take it for granted!

  11. iLove to eat MORE Word

    Once again the writer of Hebrews lays out the Old and New Testaments. Hebrews 9:9 NLT “For the gifts and sacrifices that the priests offer are not able to cleanse the consciences of the people who bring them. 10 For that old system deals only with food and drink and various cleansing ceremonies—physical regulations that were in effect only until a better system could be established.”

    I thank Jesus that he is the new High Priest and we can reach him now through the tribe of Judah. Praise is the way to the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords!

  12. 14 How much more, then, will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself unblemished to God, cleanse our consciences from acts that lead to death,[a] so that we may serve the living God!

    I’m glad to serve the one true living God!😌

  13. Praise the Lord that Jesus offered himself a perfect sacrifice for the remission of our sins and that was all the sacrifice that was needed from that time forward. We must only believe in that sacrifice and repent, be baptism in Jesus name, be filled with the Holy Ghost and live according to his commandments.

  14. 13 For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh:
    14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

    I know it was the blood. I know it was the blood. I know it was the blood for me. On that day He saved me. Through his blood that was shed for me. I am free.

  15. But our High Priest Jesus entered heaven itself bearing His own blood . By His sacrifice he obtained eternal salvation for us. Christ is thus mediator of a New Covenant activated by his death.This is in fact the signifiance of O.T. sacrifices in cleansing earthly things they symbolize the cleansing Jesus has won for us.

  16. 14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

    Hallalujah and Praise be to God for His precious blood! Because of the blood all of our sins are washed away because He gave His life just because of His GREAT GREAT love toward us! I was so blinded a year ago before coming to POFW by fear and intimidation in the one who gave His life for me. But praise God I see now and see my life in a whole different way, He has given my family and me a true meaning of why were in this world. Nothing matters but Him!!! I praise and thank God that I am free. I have what is mine and the devil is not going to steal my joy or my salvation because I know that there is a truly living merciful God that died for me!!! Thankful for the blood of Jesus….

  17. 13, “For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and of ashes of an heifer sprinking the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh:”
    14, “How MUCH MORE shall the BLOOD of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead words to serve the living God?”

    Nothing but the BLOOD of JESUS can cleanse us and set us free from sin. Thank You JESUS for becoming our perfect sacrifice!

  18. 28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.

  19. 2 For there was a tabernacle made; the first, wherein was the candlestick, and the table, and the shewbread; which is called the sanctuary.

    3 And after the second veil, the tabernacle which is called the Holiest of all;

    4 Which had the golden censer, and the ark of the covenant overlaid round about with gold, wherein was the golden pot that had manna, and Aaron’s rod that budded, and the tables of the covenant;

    The Lord has a plan, and plans everything to done in decency and order. There was no entrance for God’s people at the Tabernacle to enter the Holy of Holies, just the Priest. Today, we have the opportunity every day to enter that most Holy Place and communion with the Lord. I’m thankful we don’t have to wait for priest to give sacrifice for our sins, but can come boldly to the Throne of Grace on our own.

  20. Bunking reincarnation.

    Hebrews 9:27
    And inasmuch as it is appointed for men to die once and after this comes judgment,

    The Bible clearly indicates that we die once. This is contrary to reincarnation. Reincarnation states that we die and are reborn over and over again. One day, if we do well, we will make it into what they call Nirvana, which is like our idea of heaven. This of course is heresy. We only get one chance to live a life in service of Jesus Christ. Reincarnation is a lie.

  21. 15 And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.

    Thanks for His blood and his sacrifice that He gave is the reason I am free and have eternal life. Thank you Lord for the redemption and now the promise that your sacrifice gave to me. MORE FOUR40!

  22. 22 And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.

    Oh thank God for the cleansing blood. What can wash away my sins, nothing but the blood of my Jesus!

    Jesus it was and still is your blood that holds power. Thank you for washing our household with your blood.

    The Bakers

  23. The stuff heros and legends are made of:
    Payable upon death

    17 For a testament is of force after men are dead: otherwise it is of no strength at all while the testator liveth.

    A hero is not recognized in all his glory until he dies for his cause. You are not truly committed to something until you will give your life for
    It. The test of a true savior is his death. The test of a true God is his eternal life. This testimate or covenant given to us by Jesus Christ was stamped into eternity and made valid through his death.
    Our salvation was payable upon his death.

  24. 27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:

    28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the sec
    ond time without sin unto salvation.
    It’s appointed for all men to die. We will be judged and have to give account for all we have done. We are to be spotless with out blemish.

  25. 22 And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.

    One ought to thank God (Jesus) continually, for his precious blood!

    27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: 28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for
    him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.

    The purpose for the Lord’s (Jesus) death was so that one might live eternally with him, albeit only one that obeys will hear enter in. Dear God, let me ever be mindful of your cleansing blood; “Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done”. What a mighty God we serve! Thank God for his word. God bless America, Jerusalem, and you all in Jesus name, Amen!

  26. 7 But into the second went the high priest alone once every year, not without blood, which he offered for himself, and for the errors of the people:

    We are all able to go into the holy of holies because of the blood of Christ that covers our sins. Thank you JESUS for the blood.

  27. Deeper

    6 Now when these things were thus ordained, the priests went always into the first tabernacle, accomplishing the service of God.

    7 But into the second went the high priest alone once every year, not without blood, which he offered for himself, and for the errors of the people:

    The work of the priests was done in the Holy Place but it was in the Holy of Holies that a special ministry happened. There could be a whole lot of Holy Place activity but without the ministry by the high priest in the Holy of Holies, it all lost purpose. In the same way, we can be busy in the Kingdom but neglect our inner man’s communion with God; when let slide, our focus on the work on the Kingdom becomes unfocused and our reason for ministry fades as our relationship with God dwindles. The Holy of Holies is more than just a special place here but has eternal implications:

    24 For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us:

    For the born again believer, our Holy of Holies relationship with God reflects our destination in heaven or not. Communion with God there builds eternal communion with Him, but neglect there also builds eternal separation. It is up to us to go deeper in the waters and find a Holy of Holies relationship with God.

  28. And just as each person is destined to die once and after that comes judgment, so also Christ was offered once for all time as a sacrifice to take away the sins of many people. He will come again, not to deal with our sins, but to bring salvation to all who are eagerly waiting for him. (‭Hebrews‬ ‭9‬:‭27-28‬ NLT)

    You have one life and one death. With that life you have the opportunity to reach the lost or be lost yourself. And with that leaves death which proceeds to judgement. What will happen to your soul when you die? God has made it clear that He paid His blood for us all if we will have Him. It’s time to choose now!

  29. 27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:

    One chance at life we have. What are going up do with it? After when we die there is a judgement that awaits us. Jesus is the one that paid the price that I may have life more abundantly. Now we can choose to live in the pains of this world or we can live for God according to his will having the hope of eternity with Him. I would just rather be on the judge’s side.

  30. Hebrews 9:27 Just as people are destined to die once and after that to face judgment so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many and he will appear a aecond time not to bear sin but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.

  31. Holy place !!!! 24. For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us: 25. Nor yet that he should offer himself often, as the high priest entereth into the holy place every year with blood of others; Heb. 9 : 7 26. For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself. 27. And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: Gen. 3 : 19 2 Cor. 5 : 10 28. So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation. Matt. 26 : 28 I PRAISE YOU JESUS !!!! I LIFT YOU UP JESUS !!!! YOU ARE HOLY JESUS !!!! I SALUTE YOU JESUS !!!! THANK YOU JESUS !!!! I AN VICTORIOUS THROUGH CHRIST !!!!
