Hebrews 10

1 For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect.

2 For then would they not have ceased to be offered? because that the worshippers once purged should have had no more conscience of sins.

3 But in those sacrifices there is a remembrance again made of sins every year.

4 For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins.

5 Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me:

6 In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou hast had no pleasure.

7 Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God.

8 Above when he said, Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offering for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein; which are offered by the law;

9 Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second.

10 By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

11 And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins:

12 But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;

13 From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool.

14 For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.

15 Whereof the Holy Ghost also is a witness to us: for after that he had said before,

16 This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them;

17 And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.

18 Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin.

19 Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,

20 By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;

21 And having an high priest over the house of God;

22 Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.

23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)

24 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:

25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,

27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.

28 He that despised Moses’ law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:

29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?

30 For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people.

31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

32 But call to remembrance the former days, in which, after ye were illuminated, ye endured a great fight of afflictions;

33 Partly, whilst ye were made a gazingstock both by reproaches and afflictions; and partly, whilst ye became companions of them that were so used.

34 For ye had compassion of me in my bonds, and took joyfully the spoiling of your goods, knowing in yourselves that ye have in heaven a better and an enduring substance.

35 Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward.

36 For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.

37 For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry.

38 Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.

39 But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.

  1. I’m Thankful!

    This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them; And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more. Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin. (‭Hebrews‬ ‭10‬:‭16-18‬ KJV)

  2. 9. Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second.

    10. By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

    11. And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins:

    12. But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;

    Once was enough…
    The blood of animals had to be offered again and again just to push their sins ahead for a while, but the precious blood of Jesus only had to be offered one time to completely wash away our sins forever!

    For His blood was not just blood
    Of another spotless lamb
    But His blood was precious blood
    For it wash the sins of men
    And His blood, it heals my body
    And it sets my spirit free
    And I’m so glad this precious blood
    Still flows from Calvary

    No other blood could heal my broken body
    And no other blood could save my sin sick soul
    And no other blood could conquer death and win the victory
    No other blood, but the blood Jesus shed for me

  3. 35 Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward.

    Patience is something that we all need in our lives and patience only comes from trials and tribulation. Learning from our mistakes is a well spent lesson and should teach us how to wait on what God has for us.
    We must have the faith to trust God, confidence to to endure unto the end. We must always hold fast the faith God has gave us to the end. If we allow our faith to waver God will have no pleasure in us. Help us Lord not to look back but to look forward to the new heaven and new earth.

  4. When 10:36 For ye are in need of patience, that, after ye have done the Will of God, ye might receive His promise.

    When you do the Will of God you must remember that He WILL keep His promise, and He WILL deliver it in His time. Wait upon the LORD.

  5. MORE WORSHIP

    25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

    We are encouraged and exhorted to maintain a high level of church attendance, to give ourselves to worship JESUS on a faithful consistent basis, even MORE when the last days are so obvious.

    Be encouraged today to maintain faithful habits of corporate worship with a dedicated body of believers. Or, if need be, initiate today on Easter 2015 (Resurrection Sunday 2015) a habit of being faithful to worship over the next 7 weeks, regardless of what comes or what leaves us. We will be faithful to church to worship the LORD.

    iRepent
    iPraise
    iPray
    iWork
    iGive
    iReap

  6. MORE Perseverance

    So do not throw away this confident trust in the Lord. Remember the great reward it brings you! Patient endurance is what you need now, so that you will continue to do God’s will. Then you will receive all that he has promised. (‭Hebrews‬ ‭10‬:‭35-36‬ NLT)

    Let it drive you. Seeking and doing the work of God should be from your and you should have a want to while doing it. You should want more then you want to breathe. Cause you know the reward after you know others won’t experience it. Work work work. Not stop nor never give up.

  7. Hebrews 10:4
    For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins.

    because there is only one way for your sins are possible to go away and that is by the blood of jesus christ and you must recive the holy ghost and be babtized and repent to enter the kingdom of god more revival more faith and more prayer. AMEN

  8. 22 Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.

    We all have impure hearts within ourselves because of our human flesh, but has already given us a way to be purified 2,000 years ago when he died for us on the cross. He died for our sins and inequities that we might live through him. He is the water that washes us clean and washes our sins away from us. All we have to do is turn to him with a repentant heart and he will do the rest, because he wants all of us to be clean in his sight.

    Ezekiel 36:25-27 I will sprinkle clean water on you and you shall be clean from all your uncleanesses, and from all your idols. I will cleanse you. And I will give you a new heart and new spirit I will put within you. And I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statures and be careful to obey my rules.

  9. iLove to eat MORE Word

    Hebrews 10:2 (NLT) If they could have provided perfect cleansing, the sacrifices would have stopped, for the worshipers would have been purified once for all time, and their feelings of guilt would have disappeared. 3But instead, those sacrifices actually reminded them of their sins year after year.

    WOW, As I read this daily blog today these Words jumped off the screen and slapped me in the face. If we do not forgive and forget then we have not truly applied the blood of Jesus to our sins. We are only living in the Old Testament system of animal sacrifice mentality. Jesus is greater than an animal and therefore to forgive and forget is to apply the pure blood of Jesus

  10. 10 By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

    I’m thankful for salvation through the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. A line from an older song came to mind today reading this scripture:

    Once and for all He paid the price when He became my sacrifice!

  11. 25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

    We need each other, we have to keep lifting each other up in prayers, to show support for our fellow Bro and Sis. God did not make just Adam, for He saw it was not good for man to dwell alone, so He made Eve so he will have a companion. I don’t see this as a companion just for love or sex Lord forbid but to help each other through hard moments. To stay in the assembly with each other to motivate each other through the trials, to have the support through the battles and through the storms, but above that even through the times of blessings together give thanks, together give praise, together WE ARE ONE!!!!! ONE BODY OF CHRIST. Working together for our own sanctity by being accountable for each other.

    30 For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people.

    We do not need to give anyone a piece of our mind, or get so angry as to try to take justice on our own hands. When I get angry, I am reminded that God’s justice is the most just and He will make EVERYONE accountable for their sins at the end. When you let God take care of justice HE WILL ALWAYS MAKE THING RIGHT. The best thing to do is FORGIVE, PRAY, AND BLESS THEM DAILY AND LET GOD DO JUSTICE.

  12. Saved by grace; glad I am not under the law

    Heb. 10:26   For if we deliberately keep on sinning after receiving the knowledge of the truth, no further sacrifice for sins is left for us, 27 but only a certain fearful expectation of judgment and a fury of fire that will consume God’s enemies. 28 Someone who rejected the law of Moses was put to death without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. 29 How much greater punishment do you think that person deserves who has contempt for the Son of God, and profanes the blood of the covenant that made him holy, and insults the Spirit of grace? (NET)

    It has been said many times that we are saved by grace and the law doesn’t apply. The above passage illustrates that as false. The Hebrews were saved by grace in the Old Testament. When they were delivered from Egypt, it was by the grace of God. The Law was given to a saved, redeemed people. It was expected that they follow it. They were obligated to follow the Law to maintain their relationship with God.

    Likewise, we are required to bear the fruit of the Spirit to maintain our relationship with Christ. The writer of Hebrews shows that our punishment for living in sin after being saved from sin is worse than physical death. It would behoove us to follow the Law. We should view the OT Law as active except for the parts that Jesus abolished.

  13. “Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.” All are important and needed, as one did not chose, but was chosen, by God (Jesus); all the more why one should want to come together as a body every chance one can. Dear God, let me ever be mindful and prefer my brother & sister over self; “Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done”. What a mighty God we serve! Thank God for his word. God bless America, Jerusalem, and you all in Jesus name, Amen!

  14. 38 Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.
    39 But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.

    Believe in Christ. Trust in him. Have faith in him. He has saved you but you must receive him and his promise of the Holy Ghost.

  15. 36 For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.

    37 For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry.

    We have to persevere. We must remember this is not a race, it’s a marathon, it’s for those who chose not to get tired, discouraged or impatient. This race is for those who will endure the trails, situations and hardships and still be faithful and true to God because we know that He is true to His Word and will come for us soon. We must continue to stay the course! MORE FOUR40 !

  16. Hebrews 10:25 Not forsaking or neglecting to assemble together as believers, as is the habit of some people, but admonishing warning, urging, and encouraging one another, and all the more faithfully as you see the day approaching.

    There are no lone Rangers… We are not meant to do this christian life alone. We need each other. Unity and love helps us go forward. How can we get up if we fall if there is no one around to help us up back on our feet? We are part of the body of Christ, and as such we cannot survive away from it. God is coming back for his bride the church. It is so vital and important that we come to the house of God and be blessed by other believers.

  17. 26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,
    Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin. James 4:17
    When we know its wrong we cnt just say oh I didn’t know. Think before you act or do anything. Pray about everything worry about nothing.

  18. Hebrews 10:38 (Wuest – The New Testament: An Expanded Translation)
    38 Now, my righteous person shall live by faith. But if he draw back in fear, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.

    Hebrews 10:38-39 (AMP)
    38 But the just shall live by faith [My righteous servant shall liveby his conviction respecting man’s relationship to God and divine things, and holy fervor born of faith and conjoined with it]; and if he draws back and shrinks in fear, My soul has no delight or pleasure in him.
    39 But our way is not that of those who draw back to eternal misery (perdition) and are utterly destroyed, but we are of those who believe [who cleave to and trust in and rely on God through Jesus Christ, the Messiah] and by faith preserve the soul.

    Never, never, never give up. Even if it hurts. Even if the pain becomes almost unbearable, never give up. All pain in this world is temporary. When others hurt us, when others disappoint us. Never ever give up.

    Suffering is part of the Christian walk. It is required for salvation I believe. However we do find ourselves sidetracked and sometimes forget what the pain is for. Jesus promises he is with us even until the end.

    Paul tells us that (KJV Strong’s) 17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;

    We must remember that he will never leave or forsake us. Pain has a purpose. The purpose will always overshadow the pain.

  19. Kill it once!

    11 And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins:

    How many times do we bring something to the altar and mutilate it but not finish it off. When we do this we just make that thing that much uglier and harder to kill the next time. When we bring something to the altar we have to finish it off. We have to make sure it’s dead before it is truly a sacrifice unto the Lord. If we bring the same thing over and over again it becomes a stinch instead of a sweat savor to God. We have to kill it once and be done with it!

  20. Patient endurance is what you need now, so that you will continue to do God’s will. Then you will receive all that he has promised. (‭Hebrews‬ ‭10‬:‭36‬ NLT)

    Being lazy, slothful and conceited will cause you to be left behind. We need to be ready and working for when God returns. Evaluate your life, are you truly doing Gods will for your life or are you simply following your own plans? The choice is yours but the promise is only for the ones who follow Him. Think about it..

  21. 12 But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;

    13 From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool.

    14 For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.

    15 Whereof the Holy Ghost also is a witness to us: for after that he had said before,

    16 This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them;

    17 And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.
    Thank you lord!

  22. Hebrews 10:32 Remember those earlier days after you have received the light when you endured in a great conflict full of suffering. Sometimes you were publicly exposed to insult and persecution at other times you stood side by side with those who were so treated. You suffered along with those in prison and joyfully accepted the confiscation of your property because you knew that you yourselves had better and lasting possessions. So do not throw away your confidence it will be richly rewarded.

  23. So do not throw away this confident trust in the Lord. Remember the great reward it brings you! Patient endurance is what you need now, so that you will continue to do God’s will. Then you will receive all that he has promised. (‭Hebrews‬ ‭10‬:‭35-36‬ NLT)

    We need to stay strong and trust God not just with the small things but everything in our lives. Because we don’t need to search for anything when we have God in our lives we have not only life but so much more and with Him everything works out and falls into place.

  24. Hebrews 10:35 Cast not away therefore your confidence, which have great recompense of reward.

    So my part is Cast my cares on Him.
    His part is He will sustain me.

  25. Pure water !!!! 16. This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them; 17. And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more. 18. Now where remission of these is, there is no more offeringfor sin. 19. Having therefore, brethren,boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Je’-sus, 20. By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh; 21. And having an high priest over the house of God; 1 Tim. 3 : 15 22. Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. Ezek.36 : 25 Heb. 4 : 16 THANK YOU FOR VICTORY !!!!

  26. 9 Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second.
    10 By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

    Although Jesus gave us a new covenant, He did not break the old one. He full filled it.

    Thank you Jesus for laying your life down for me.
