1 Peter 2

1 Wherefore laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil speakings,

2 As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:

3 If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious.

4 To whom coming, as unto a living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, and precious,

5 Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.

6 Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded.

7 Unto you therefore which believe he is precious: but unto them which be disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner,

8 And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence, even to them which stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto also they were appointed.

9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light;

10 Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.

11 Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;

12 Having your conversation honest among the Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation.

13 Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord’s sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme;

14 Or unto governors, as unto them that are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well.

15 For so is the will of God, that with well doing ye may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men:

16 As free, and not using your liberty for a cloke of maliciousness, but as the servants of God.

17 Honour all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honour the king.

18 Servants, be subject to your masters with all fear; not only to the good and gentle, but also to the froward.

19 For this is thankworthy, if a man for conscience toward God endure grief, suffering wrongfully.

20 For what glory is it, if, when ye be buffeted for your faults, ye shall take it patiently? but if, when ye do well, and suffer for it, ye take it patiently, this is acceptable with God.

21 For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps:

22 Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth:

23 Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously:

24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

25 For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.

  1. 13. Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord’s sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme;

    14. Or unto governors, as unto them that are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well.

    15. For so is the will of God, that with well doing ye may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men:

    15. You see, it is God’s will that by doing what is right and good you should hush the gabbing ignorance of the foolish. Voice

  2. NLT 13 Submit yourselves for the Lord’s sake to every human authority: whether to the emperor, as the supreme authority, 14 or to governors, who are sent by him to punish those who do wrong and to commend those who do right. 15 For it is God’s will that by doing good you should silence the ignorant talk of foolish people.

    So many have an issue of being submissive to authority especially to the Lord and to a pastor. They want to make their own decisions without no one telling them anything. Even though they are under authority at work, in the military or by the government. God only wants us to follow the rules, guidance and vision of those over us. I thank God, we have a Pastor who has a vision, who is spiritually led, and we are covered by his authority.

  3. 15 For so is the will of God, that with well doing ye may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men:

    16 As free, and not using your liberty for a cloke of maliciousness, but as the servants of God.

    17 Honour all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honour the king.

    The great price of well doing! We can even put to silence the mouths of ignorant men. The old proverb says keep your mouth shut and no one will notice you, open your mouth and all will see how foolish you are. People will judge us by our words (conversation), what do we talk about, are we always truthful. We should not use the fact we are born again to act like something we are not, but to show people we are the servants of God. Free: what does free really mean, yes we can do what we want to, but we are free to live for God with all our heart. True servants always honor their master, we should honor all men and fear the King of Kings.
    We need to take off the cloke of maliciousness and wrap ourselves with the robe of righteousness.

  4. True humility

    1Pet. 2:23 When he was reviled, he did not revile in return; when he suffered, he did not threaten, but continued entrusting himself to him who judges justly.

    True humility is seen when one is justified to respond to the attacks of others but decides instead to practice meekness. We do not have to respond to negative words with negativity.

  5. Verse 9 NLT “But you are not like that, for you are a chosen people. You are royal priests,[g] a holy nation, God’s very own possession. As a result, you can show others the goodness of God, for he called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light.” You can be a walking testimony by sharing what God has done for you.

    Verse 21 NLT “For God called you to do good, even if it means suffering, just as Christ suffered[l] for you. He is your example, and you must follow in his steps.”

    Psalm 37:23 NLT “The Lord directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives.”

    Psalm 119:133 NLT “Guide my steps by your word, so I will not be overcome by evil.”

    Proverbs 3:6 Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.”

    1 Peter 2:21-23 NLT
    (21) For God called you to do good, even if it means suffering, just as Christ suffered for you. He is your example, and you must follow in His steps.
    (22) He never sinned, nor ever deceived anyone.
    (23) He did not retaliate when He was insulted, nor threaten revenge when He suffered. He left His case in the hands of God, who always judges fairly.

    We need to learn to the art of suffering. That is, when someone does you wrong or we find ourselves in a bad situation to put it into the hands of God and let God judge fairly and justly. We dont have to take out revenge and try to pay that person back, all we have to do is give it to God. Wow, wouldn’t that make life easier. We would soon walk in the flow of the Holy Ghost and God could really start using us.

  7. 7 Unto you therefore which believe he is precious: but unto them which be disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner,

    It may look like things aren’t going right because it seems like everybody is against you. When you’re doing the work of the Lord, your list of enemies will begin to increase. They are not enemies because you can’t get along with them, they are enemies because they reject what God is doing. We must remember that when things begin to turn against us and the pressures of life starts to weigh down, God is getting ready to move things around. I take joy in my trials because once I make it out, I know God has elevated me.

  8. 13 Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord’s sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme;

    14 Or unto governors, as unto them that are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well.

    15 For so is the will of God, that with well doing ye may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men:

    God has placed people in positions of authority in our world and in our lives. It’s never Gods will for us to ignore and rebel against that authority. Our submission and compliance will speak volumes of ourselves and the God we serve.

  9. 23 Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously:

    1 Peter 2:23 (AMP)
    23 When He was reviled and insulted, He did not revile or offer insult in return; [when] He was abused and suffered, He made no threats [of vengeance]; but he trusted [Himself and everything] to Him Who judges fairly.

    It is certain we will have challenging situations with challenging people. People will make fun of us and try and hurt us with their words. People will abuse us, threaten, and take advantage of us because of who we serve. Yet no matter what may come we are to follow the footsteps of Jesus.

    Instead of insulting back speak life back.
    Instead of threatening promise blessings and follow through.
    Instead of seeking new revenge plan on seeking redemption, and reconciliation.

    Jesus cried on the cross “forgive them father for they know not what they do.”

    Many times people are doing what they are out of ignorance. They don’t understand what their actions could bring upon them. We are to love and reach out to these in hopes that through our love of the bullies we can win them.

  10. MORE bible studies

    Like newborn babies, you must crave pure spiritual milk so that you will grow into a full experience of salvation. Cry out for this nourishment, now that you have had a taste of the Lord’s kindness. (‭1 Peter‬ ‭2‬:‭2-3‬ NLT)

    This passage of scripture reminds me of all our new believers that are crying out for spiritual milk. During 40 days of MORE fire the goal is to start 40 new Home Bible Studies and I believe we can do it.

  11. 15 For so is the will of God, that with well doing ye may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men
    The Lord help us to obey His word and be humble to put the name of Jesus high, and not us first. Sometimes we so not want to humiliate us or abuse us; but the Lord is exalted when we obey His Word!

  12. But you are not like that, for you are a chosen people. You are royal priests, a holy nation, God’s very own possession. As a result, you can show others the goodness of God, for he called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light. (‭1 Peter‬ ‭2‬:‭9‬ NLT)

    We are his chosen people. We have to show his goodness and his salvation he picked is its our job to spread his gospel to this nation. And beyond it. To show that we once were in darkness and differed people but now his grace covered us. And he handed us mercy.

  13. 9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light

    We are not here by accident. We have been significantly placed here by the mighty hand of God. He has chosen each and everyone of us. He has called us out of the dark, to save those who are still in the dark!

  14. 5 Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.

    What sacrifice are we offering to the Lord? We have to remember Cain and Abel and offer to the Lord a sacrifice that would be pleasing in His sight. He knows the very thoughts and intents of our heart, therefore He judges what we give Him as acceptable or not.

  15. MORE OBEDIENCE = LESS STUMBLING

    9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light;

    The reoccurring theme throufhout the WORD of GOD seems simply stated “OBEDIENCE”. The Apostle clarifies here in chapter 2 that it is possible to know GOD and be disobedient. This action causes stumbling.

    The STONE causes obedient people to BUILD and disobedient people to stumble. JESUS the chief cornerstone.

    NIV
    7 Now to you who believe, this stone is precious. But to those who do not believe,
    “The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone,”[c]
    8 and, “A stone that causes people to stumble and a rock that makes them fall.”[d]
    They stumble because they disobey the message—which is also what they were destined for.
    9 But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.
    10 Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.

    OBEDIENCE ia a must for the GOD fearing, GOD following believer. OBEDIENCE is the solid ground we walk on, build on, grow on and live on.

  16. I Peter 2:9,10 The priesthood of the believer and his unique relationship to God are described by the terms a chosen generation….. a royal priesthood …..an holy nation. Thus, the New Testament church dance in a unique relationship to God as did Old Testament Israel.

    With Privilege comes a two-fold responsibility —sacrifice and intercessory prayer. The sacrifices of the believer are his body (Romans 12 :1,2), his praise to God (Hebrews 13:15), his substance Romans (12:13), and his service Hebrews 13:6). The Christian ought also to pray on behalf of others (Colossians 4:12).

  17. 21 For God called you to do good, even if it means suffering, just as Christ suffered for you. He is your example, and you must follow in his steps.
    22 He never sinned, nor ever deceived anyone.
    23 He did not retaliate when he was insulted, nor threaten revenge when he suffered. He left his case in the hands of God, who always judges fairly.
    24 He personally carried our sins in his body on the cross so that we can be dead to sin and live for what is right. By his wounds you are healed. (NLT)

    How compassionate and merciful is our God that we would live free because of His sacrifice and suffering. He is the ultimate example of righteous living, He has marked the road of righteousness for us. We now must chose whether or not to walk with Him and follow after Him. My prayer is to daily become more like Him so that He may shine through me, you, us, that we may be good examples for others to follow.

  18. 1Peter 2:1 Therefore rid yourselves of all malice and all deceit hypocrisy, envy and slander of every kind . Like newborn babies crave pure spiritual milk so that by it you may grow up in your salvation now that you have tasted that the lord is good.

  19. NO ONE ELSE BUT JESUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Who could of done this for you without even a murmur out of His mouth??? No one else but Jesus! Who could of been so unselfish as to give all He had for you? No one else but Jesus! Who could of dropped every drop of His Precious, Miracle Working, Holy above all, Healing Blood, just for a sinner like you and me?? No one ELSE BUT JESUS!!!!!! He NEVER gives up on us, He fights everyday for your freedom, He removes the yokes, He destroys the chains that binds us, He does it all for you and me. What do we do in return???? He awaits patiently for us to Praise Him with out fear nor limits, without inhibitions. No one but you know what God has done for you, I know my God has been wonderful to me. He picked me up out of the mud, cleaned me up, kiss me, and made me HIS FOR EVER. That is why I will praise Him even in the mist of my storm. I will praise Him with my last breath, for HE IS MY GOD, MY FRIEND, MY SAVIOR, MY BELOVED. THERE IS NO ONE ELSE LIKE HIM.

  20. 24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

    25 For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.

    Our reasonable service to the Lord for his sacrifice for our sins is to now live dead to sin! 1 John 2:1 My dear children, I am writing this to you so that you will not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate who pleads our case before the Father. He is Jesus Christ, the one who is truly righteous.

  21. 23 Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously:

    24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

    25 For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.

    We live in a world full of flesh, but it is our choice to live in it or to die to it daily. Our flesh will get us into a life full of sin and we will fall astray from His kingdom, if we choose to follow it instead of the word of God!! Lord help me to live a righteous life, and to not fall away from your word and your kingdom!!

  22. 24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

    I’m thankful that we have a God that died on the cross for our sins and we can live free, we don’t have to be bound up by sin.

  23. v9 But ye are a chosen generation, aroyal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.

    Praise the LORD !!! WE are HIS chosen bride and greatly valued by our GREAT GOD.

    With this holy calling comes power, authority, privilege and responsibility.
    I must believe and obey HIS HOLY WORD.
    JESUS lived a life of sacrifice and self- denial
    I must live the same I must be MORE CHRIST- like if
    (I) someday want to be called chosen, and faithful to whom God will give eternal honor.( Rev. 17:14 )
    MORE CHRIST- like.

    i Repent
    i Praise

  24. 21 For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps:

    22 Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth:

    23 Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously:

    24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

    25 For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.
    Thankfully we don’t have to wander through life clueless about what to do. Our Shepard guides us and even made himself an example to show us how we should live. We are sooo blessed!!!!

  25. Suffered !!!! 21. For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps: Matt. 16 : 24 22. Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth: 23. Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously: 24. Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed. 25. Fore ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls. Isa. 53 : 6 John 10 : 11 I LOVE YOU JESUS !!!! I EXALT YOU !!!! I LIVE FOR YOU !!!! I LOVE TO PRAISE YOU !!!!

  26. 22, “Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth.”
    23, “Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously:”
    24, “Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.”
    25, “For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.”

    Isaiah 53:4-6
    4. Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. 5. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him: and with his stripes we are healed. 6. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.

    It is sin that seperates us from God, and because of what JESUS has done for us, we can return to the Shepherd and Bishop of our souls, and be healed by the stripes that he bore. Thank You JESUS for ALL you have done for me!

  27. 20-22
    CHRISTS EXAMPLE
    Our natural response to injustice is to fight itrebelli8ng angrily. This passage drals with Situational submission (submission that is mandated by the society in which one lives). In this case we are to do what is right and if like Christ we are treared unjustly anyway we are to submit.

  28. 9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light;

    We are chosen.

  29. Like newborn babies, you must crave pure spiritual milk so that you will grow into a full experience of salvation. Cry out for this nourishment, now that you have had a taste of the Lord’s kindness. (‭1 Peter‬ ‭2‬:‭2-3‬ NLT)

    We come into the church as babes and we want so much and we crave for more. We should always have this craving and desire for more. But we shouldn’t just stay at milk just like baby’s in real life they start out with the milk and we add on as they get bigger. Just like a baby as they grow so does their type of foods and we should do the same. We need to grow and become adults in God and raise up a child of our own.

    Grow MORE in GOD
    REACH THE LOST
    SHOW A BABE IN CHRIST THE WAY AND RAISE THEM UP!!

  30. 9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light;

    10 Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.

    Even though we used to be lost in sin and the world told us that we were nothing and just another person in society taking up space, and living just to complete the cycle of life, but because of His mercy we are know His chosen people. He has made us His children and since He is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, we have become royalty and we have the privilege of being in His Kingdom only if we continue to be the light of this world and shine to honor Him. MORE FIRE!

  31. 2 As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:

    3 If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious.

    To be on fire for God and want more of God, we need to know his word and feed it to ourselves more than before! God’s word is our spiritual food that we need to sustain our spirit and help us grow in the spirit, so that we may spread this word for other people to hear.

    But it all starts with us having a hunger and a desire for his word like a newborn baby desires to be feed with milk. For like in the real world, we need to keep filling ourselves up with food to sustain, we need to keep our spirit feed and keep ourselves in the word. The less we are in God’s word, the more our spirit gets starved.

    Your body gives you signs for when you are hungry, your spirit also gives you signs when you are hungry for the things of God and need to hear more of his word. Does your strength and resolve seem weak? Go into his word and he will sustain you.

    Psalms 34: 8-10 Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good! Blessed be the man who takes refuge in him. Oh, fear the Lord you his saints, for those who fear him have no lack! The young lions suffer and want hunger, but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing.

  32. 9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light;

    10 Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.

    We are chosen… That means, we are not last or left overs from what was not wanted, but chosen. He first chose us, and gave us mercy. How can we not choose Him and give him praise! He didn’t have to extend salvation to the Gentiles, but chose to. We are not just any people, but people of the name, Jesus. We are bought with a price of the blood.

  33. Shepherd And Bishop

    1 Peter 2:25 AMP
    For you were going astray like [so many] sheep, but now you have come back to the Shepherd and Guardian (the Bishop) of your souls.

    The Greek meanings behind “shepherd” and “bishop” are very similar, but there appears to be a slight conceptual distinction. A shepherd is one whom others willing go to submit to and a bishop is one who is assigned to oversee others; one shows significance in being chosen by those who are beneath in authority and the other inversely chosen by one who is above. The Lord’s relationship with us is two-fold in that it involves both our choice to engage in relationship with Him and His choice to submit to His own Word in His love for us.

    John 14:15
    If ye love me, keep my commandments.

    1 John 4:19
    We love him, because he first loved us.

  34. 17 Honour all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honour the king.

    Honor all men… To so many different people, honor means so many different things. First we must remember that if we honor someone, we tear down the walls that people build, trying to protect themselves. We also show them a part of Jesus that they want…

  35. “Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.” One must never forget it was not because of self, it was all because of Jesus (God). One that obtains the mercy of the Master (God), obtains more. Dear God, let me be ever thankful of your mercy; “Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done”. In God we trust! What a mighty God we serve! Thank God for his word. God bless America, Jerusalem, and you all in Jesus name, Amen!

  36. For you are free, yet you are God’s slaves, so don’t use your freedom as an excuse to do evil. (‭1 Peter‬ ‭2‬:‭16‬ NLT)

    Looks like once saved always saved isn’t an option people! It’s our responsibility to continually search for God. Intimacy only grows when you spend time with that person. Going to church once a week and calling yourself a Christian doesn’t make you saved and or righteous in the eyes of God. You need that relationship!

  37. Submission is encouraged here to authorities “instituted among men” for by doing so we fulfill Gods will that we silence our accusers. We are called to live a servants of God, under His authority. Submitting to those set above us such as a slave would if his master was just or harsh. It is commendable to bear unjust suffering from a harsh master. To endure unjust suffering is our cacalling. The world hated Jesus and they will hate us for teaching the gospel. Jesus was unjustly accused and crucified. We are to be like Jesus, cool calm and collected in the midst of painful accusations. He bore our sins on the cross. By His wounds we are healed. Healed from the grip of sin and infinfirmity. All of this could not have been accomplished without submission.

  38. An example of suffering to the hope of Glory

    1 For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps:

    If we truly follow in Christs steps it will Lead us to the cross in our own lives. We have to die to this world so that we can truly love in him. Christs example was of suffering for a greater cause, one that lead to glory. Rejoice in your sufferings now because it will lead us to immeasurable glory.

  39. 17 Honour all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honour the king.

    lord Jesus Christ, for I come before you humble, father that ,I give myself to you lord Jesus Christ ,for I can’t live without you for you are my refuge and my fortress. For we are suppose to show proper respect to everyone around us even when peoples days aren’t going we at all,for are God that is great that lives in us for we should be humble to the people even when they use strong words that well hurt us or affect us in any particular way, for the believers that believe in the creator and know who there God is we should show love and care to are family of believers even if they don’t follow God they still believe there’s a God and his name is Jesus christ,for we Gods children should only fear God we shouldn’t be scared of God but we should strongly respect him!! In Jesus name amen !!!

  40. 18 Servants, be subject to your masters with all fear; not only to the good and gentle, but also to the froward.

    Obedience I have learned is the key ingredient to faith

  41. 17 Honour all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honour the king.

    More love for fellow man
    Honoring all is not just saying, “good job” and giving them all a thumbs up. It also gives specific recognition for the things that happen.

  42. 9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light;

    Can’t say enough abiyt what we are in Christ. This separation that tus verse speaks of is the call out of evil. Just how different darkness is from light the same is to be of our new lives.
    Nothing has its own meaning any more. It no longer becomes what I think holiness is, or what His presence inside of us is with evidence of speaking in tongues. Just we are adopt what He says it is. Not what we believe the meaninga are but what the meanings are to Him.
    It’s all about what He thinks and approves of and nothing else.
