Acts 7

1 Then said the high priest, Are these things so?

2 And he said, Men, brethren, and fathers, hearken; The God of glory appeared unto our father Abraham, when he was in Mesopotamia, before he dwelt in Charran,

3 And said unto him, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and come into the land which I shall shew thee.

4 Then came he out of the land of the Chaldaeans, and dwelt in Charran: and from thence, when his father was dead, he removed him into this land, wherein ye now dwell.

5 And he gave him none inheritance in it, no, not so much as to set his foot on: yet he promised that he would give it to him for a possession, and to his seed after him, when as yet he had no child.

6 And God spake on this wise, That his seed should sojourn in a strange land; and that they should bring them into bondage, and entreat them evil four hundred years.

7 And the nation to whom they shall be in bondage will I judge, said God: and after that shall they come forth, and serve me in this place.

8 And he gave him the covenant of circumcision: and so Abraham begat Isaac, and circumcised him the eighth day; and Isaac begat Jacob; and Jacob begat the twelve patriarchs.

9 And the patriarchs, moved with envy, sold Joseph into Egypt: but God was with him,

10 And delivered him out of all his afflictions, and gave him favour and wisdom in the sight of Pharaoh king of Egypt; and he made him governor over Egypt and all his house.

11 Now there came a dearth over all the land of Egypt and Chanaan, and great affliction: and our fathers found no sustenance.

12 But when Jacob heard that there was corn in Egypt, he sent out our fathers first.

13 And at the second time Joseph was made known to his brethren; and Joseph’s kindred was made known unto Pharaoh.

14 Then sent Joseph, and called his father Jacob to him, and all his kindred, threescore and fifteen souls.

15 So Jacob went down into Egypt, and died, he, and our fathers,

16 And were carried over into Sychem, and laid in the sepulchre that Abraham bought for a sum of money of the sons of Emmor the father of Sychem.

17 But when the time of the promise drew nigh, which God had sworn to Abraham, the people grew and multiplied in Egypt,

18 Till another king arose, which knew not Joseph.

19 The same dealt subtilly with our kindred, and evil entreated our fathers, so that they cast out their young children, to the end they might not live.

20 In which time Moses was born, and was exceeding fair, and nourished up in his father’s house three months:

21 And when he was cast out, Pharaoh’s daughter took him up, and nourished him for her own son.

22 And Moses was learned in all the wisdom of the Egyptians, and was mighty in words and in deeds.

23 And when he was full forty years old, it came into his heart to visit his brethren the children of Israel.

24 And seeing one of them suffer wrong, he defended him, and avenged him that was oppressed, and smote the Egyptian:

25 For he supposed his brethren would have understood how that God by his hand would deliver them: but they understood not.

26 And the next day he shewed himself unto them as they strove, and would have set them at one again, saying, Sirs, ye are brethren; why do ye wrong one to another?

27 But he that did his neighbour wrong thrust him away, saying, Who made thee a ruler and a judge over us?

28 Wilt thou kill me, as thou diddest the Egyptian yesterday?

29 Then fled Moses at this saying, and was a stranger in the land of Madian, where he begat two sons.

30 And when forty years were expired, there appeared to him in the wilderness of mount Sina an angel of the Lord in a flame of fire in a bush.

31 When Moses saw it, he wondered at the sight: and as he drew near to behold it, the voice of the Lord came unto him,

32 Saying, I am the God of thy fathers, the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. Then Moses trembled, and durst not behold.

33 Then said the Lord to him, Put off thy shoes from thy feet: for the place where thou standest is holy ground.

34 I have seen, I have seen the affliction of my people which is in Egypt, and I have heard their groaning, and am come down to deliver them. And now come, I will send thee into Egypt.

35 This Moses whom they refused, saying, Who made thee a ruler and a judge? the same did God send to be a ruler and a deliverer by the hand of the angel which appeared to him in the bush.

36 He brought them out, after that he had shewed wonders and signs in the land of Egypt, and in the Red sea, and in the wilderness forty years.

37 This is that Moses, which said unto the children of Israel, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear.

38 This is he, that was in the church in the wilderness with the angel which spake to him in the mount Sina, and with our fathers: who received the lively oracles to give unto us:

39 To whom our fathers would not obey, but thrust him from them, and in their hearts turned back again into Egypt,

40 Saying unto Aaron, Make us gods to go before us: for as for this Moses, which brought us out of the land of Egypt, we wot not what is become of him.

41 And they made a calf in those days, and offered sacrifice unto the idol, and rejoiced in the works of their own hands.

42 Then God turned, and gave them up to worship the host of heaven; as it is written in the book of the prophets, O ye house of Israel, have ye offered to me slain beasts and sacrifices by the space of forty years in the wilderness?

43 Yea, ye took up the tabernacle of Moloch, and the star of your god Remphan, figures which ye made to worship them: and I will carry you away beyond Babylon.

44 Our fathers had the tabernacle of witness in the wilderness, as he had appointed, speaking unto Moses, that he should make it according to the fashion that he had seen.

45 Which also our fathers that came after brought in with Jesus into the possession of the Gentiles, whom God drave out before the face of our fathers, unto the days of David;

46 Who found favour before God, and desired to find a tabernacle for the God of Jacob.

47 But Solomon built him an house.

48 Howbeit the most High dwelleth not in temples made with hands; as saith the prophet,

49 Heaven is my throne, and earth is my footstool: what house will ye build me? saith the Lord: or what is the place of my rest?

50 Hath not my hand made all these things?

51 Ye stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Ghost: as your fathers did, so do ye.

52 Which of the prophets have not your fathers persecuted? and they have slain them which shewed before of the coming of the Just One; of whom ye have been now the betrayers and murderers:

53 Who have received the law by the disposition of angels, and have not kept it.

54 When they heard these things, they were cut to the heart, and they gnashed on him with their teeth.

55 But he, being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up stedfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God,

56 And said, Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing on the right hand of God.

57 Then they cried out with a loud voice, and stopped their ears, and ran upon him with one accord,

58 And cast him out of the city, and stoned him: and the witnesses laid down their clothes at a young man’s feet, whose name was Saul.

59 And they stoned Stephen, calling upon God, and saying, Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.

60 And he kneeled down, and cried with a loud voice, Lord, lay not this sin to their charge. And when he had said this, he fell asleep.

  1. 51 Ye stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Ghost: as your fathers did, so do ye.

They were called stiff necked, because of the hardness of their hearts and their inability to accept change. We must be able to change if we are going to be filled with the Holy Ghost and survive with God. Our spirits must change, our attitude must change, we must change our outlook on life and see things with spiritual eyes. When we take offence to the word of God and let correction offend us, we are in trouble. Life will be like these people we will let the TRUTH offend us and lash out with a bad spirit.
God help us be more like you and less like the world!

  2. 58. And cast him out of the city, and stoned him: and the witnesses laid down their clothes at a young man’s feet, whose name was Saul.

    59. And they stoned Stephen, calling upon God, and saying, Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.

Why was it important to mention who held their coats while they stoned Stephen? Why did God allow such a great man to be stoned to death? We can’t always see why things must happen, we just need to develop our faith in God and know that He has a plan and knows what is ahead for us and how to prepare us for what is coming.

  3. 57 Then they cried out with a loud voice, and stopped their ears, and ran upon him with one accord,

When we tell the truth many will not receive it, but instead lash out at us and try to hurt or discredit us. We should not be afraid as long as we are doing the will of God and speaking the truth, even though others may not like it.

  4. You reap what you sow!

“You stubborn people! You are heathen at heart and deaf to the truth. Must you forever resist the Holy Spirit? That’s what your ancestors did, and so do you! (‭Acts of the Apostles‬ ‭7‬:‭51‬ NLT)

Salvation, truth, redemption, and yet still these men were denying what was spoken into their lives. It is terrible to see that yet hearing they rejected something so precious! Sounds familiar. How many times have ‘we’ been in the church, hearing but not responding to the truth that is being preached over the pulpit. I admit I’m guilty and I’ll be the first to say. But I’m so thankful that I serve a merciful GOD!! He has not rejected me, He’s embraced me with His unconditional love. Thank you JESUS!!
Examine me, O Lord, and prove me; try my reins and my heart. (‭Psalms‬ ‭26‬:‭2‬ KJV)
In these days we can not be living according to our will, our ways, our desires. But we must have a heart that seeks the face of Jesus Christ and repent. Living in obedience to His word, to love the truth.
And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness. (‭2 Thessalonians‬ ‭2‬:‭10-12‬ KJV)
So how many generations after you will continue to reject the truth?!

  5. vss. 17,9, 10,& 48
17 But when the time of the of the promise drew high, which God had sworn to Abraham, the people grew and multiplied in Egypt.

Can’t seem to get away from GOD’S WORD to the Church last night. So Awesome.
Get ready company is coming Church . A great harvest is coming. We are so hungry , we have longed and prayed for revival.
We can feel it in our soul. Praise GOD.

v9 And the patriarchs, moved with envy , sold Joseph into Egypt: but God was with him.
And delivered him out of all his afflictions, and gave him favour and wisdom in the sight of Pharaoh king of Egypt ; and he made him governer over Egypt and all his house.

” BUT GOD WAS WITH HIM” Everyone that receives the baptism of the Holy Ghost…. We have indeed received JESUS CHRIST in us the hope of glory.
The Holy Ghost is JESUS in a spiritual manifestation. HE said HE WOULD NOT LEAVE US COMFORTLESS . HE gave us a beautiful assurance.
There is not a greater promise on thus earth than the baptism of HIS SPIRT within our hearts.
We learn to live with HIM , talkwith HIM .
Sometimes I wonder do we really recognize what it means . We take HIM with us where ever we go .
HE WILL abide with us forever
How I love mly Ghost that’s the only reason we might pass fifty Churches , and come to the one we attend today because of HIS PROMISE that JESUS made to HIS CHURCH ….. After all the Name Of JESUS AND HIS SPIRIT is what this is all about.
Its not to glorify man, or to entertain anyone that not what JESUS SAID, but HE DID say to lift HIM UP in everything we do or say and HE WILL DO THE REST.
Coming to a close Peter knew there would be challenges those that we rise up as in these days.
JESUS SACRED TRUTH is being merciless attacked . Everything we have ever believed that makes us Pentecostals , but we will survive by lifting JESUS UP IN everything we do and in the Spirit of love.

    More Holy Ghost !!!

  6. Trust in the Lord.

Stephen is recalling the history of Abraham and the people of God. In verse 3 the instructions were to leave thy country and kindred and God will show them where they will live. What an amazing faith the leaders had in those days. Every person has a measure of faith. In my opinion that indicates varying levels of faith for each person. However it does not limit one to a certain level. I believe each person has the ability to grow their faith and become the person the Lord wants us to be.

The Message version states: 1 Corinthians 4:7-8 For who do you know that really knows you, knows your heart? And even if they did, is there anything they would discover in you that you could take credit for? Isn’t everything you have and everything you are sheer gifts from God? So what’s the point of all this comparing and competing? You already have all you need. You already have more access to God than you can handle…

So, with this unlimited access to God, what do you want?

  7. though the question was simple and could have been answered saying “yes it is so” instead he answered them reminding where they came from, reminding them of their family’s testimony starting with Abraham.

Sometimes in the mist of trouble or when you haven’t been making the right decisions for a long time, when someone else comes around and seeks of your testimony reminding you of where you come from to help confirm your questions because your answers are probably in your past, just don’t dwell there. Find what you are looking for and move forward.

  8. 51 “You stubborn people! You are heathen at heart and deaf to the truth. Must you forever resist the Holy Spirit? That’s what your ancestors did, and so do you! (NLT)

“Awaken my heart, awaken my soul, awaken your power and take control. Awaken the passion to live for you, Lord. Awaken me!”

  9. 49 Heaven is my throne, and earth is my footstool: what house will ye build me? saith the Lord: or what is the place of my rest?

There’s no god like my GOD!!! CREATOR AND KING, HE RULES EVERYTHING!!!

  10. iLove to eat More Word

9 And the patriarchs, moved with envy, sold Joseph into Egypt: but God was with him,

Praise the Lord, I want to think our pastor for an awesome display of the word of God last night in the series “Dreams.” Joseph had to suffer many things in life, and he could have really become bitter through the things that he suffered. One thing, that the word doesn’t really mention but alludes to, is the fact that while Joseph was in prison his mother died. That could cause a man to become very bitter, but Joseph refused bitterness and chose the favor of God instead.

Another interesting thing that I caught last night during Bible study, was Potiphar and his wife. Potiphar went from being a master over Joseph to being a servant of Joseph in just a few years. I can imagine the fear on the face of his wife wondering if Joseph would ever take revenge. Lol.

  11. 59 As they stoned him, Stephen prayed, “Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.” 60 He fell to his knees, shouting, “Lord, don’t charge them with this sin!” And with that, he died. (NLT)

Another fantastic example of true forgiveness.

  12. 55 Holy Spirit, looked up to heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God. 56 “Look,” he said, “I see heaven open and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God.”
59 While they were stoning him, Stephen prayed, “Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.” 60 Then he fell on his knees and cried out, “Lord, do not hold this sin against them.” When he had said this, he fell asleep.

Even when the sinners were killing Stephen he still prayed to God that he will not hold there sins agains them. Even when Stephen knew he was going to die he looked up to heaven seeing God was with him. Just like Jesus died he asked God to not hold ours sins against us for we know not what we do. True men of God knows God will never leave our side when we speak the truth and we can NOT hold sin against someone for one day they will find out the truth! 🙂

  13. Stephen rehearsed from Abraham to Joseph to Moses to Aaron to Solomon in their ears, and still they couldn’t accept all that they heard and chose to put Stephen to death.

Many people say the things of the old testament are not important, that they do not need to practiced or carried over into the disciplines in our lives today. Why then did Stephen rehearse live situations and deliverances from the old testament as a witness of what the Lord can and will do?

We can’t just take part of the Bible. it was ALL written for guidance and direction, so don’t throw away what you don’t like. Accept it and live it.

  14. MORE WORD = MORE TRUTH = MORE PERSECUTION

Stephen was not named in the original list of Disciples of JESUS. He was a convert of the massive revival in the early church. However we made aware of his deep historical and theological knowledge of the WORD of GOD.

We witness again the Disciples of JESUS “Love for TRUTH”. There are great adversaries to TRUTH even today that would like to stop original Apostolic message of salvation; Repentance, Water Baptism in JESUS name and the gift of the Holy Ghost.

We may not be stoned physically for our “Love for TRUTH” today, however we are often stoned verbally by those that reject the TRUTH as we know HIM. The key to every supernatural outbreak has been the disciples knowledge of the WORD of GOD. I feel something supernatural rising in the believers of The Pentecostals of Fort Worth.

To affirm what the LORD spoke at The POFW on Wednesday, June 24, 2015.

“It is TIME now to prepare for MORE Harvest than we can count.”

    iRepent

  15. 20 “At that time Moses was born—a beautiful child in God’s eyes. His parents cared for him at home for three months. 21 When they had to abandon him, Pharaoh’s daughter adopted him and raised him as her own son.

We all are God’s creation, for he knows us before we are born. Every child is precious in his eyes. If a mother does not want an unborn child, the bible tells to put the child up for adoption, just like the parents of Moses. There are options for mothers besides ending the life of a precious innocent baby.

  16. 49 Heaven is my throne, and earth is my footstool: what house will ye build me? saith the Lord: or what is the place of my rest?

I love this verse…jus makes me visualize of how BIG my God is 🙂 Earth being His footstool is just amazing to how big and yet little the Earth is!!! Jesus wants a place of rest from us a place where there is no impurity or malice. A place that is holy because as for me and my house we WILL SERVE THE LORD!!! No matter the situation we may be facing out God is a BIG GOD 🙂 and nothing is impossible for Him!!!

  17. Acts 7:55
talks about the holy ghost and receiving it and helping others receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost. MORE REVIVAL, MORE RECEIVINGS, MORE PRAYER . AMEN

  18. Preparing a place to live.

44 Our fathers had the tabernacle of witness in the wilderness, as he had appointed, speaking unto Moses, that he should make it according to the fashion that he had seen.
    45 Which also our fathers that came after brought in with Jesus into the possession of the Gentiles, whom God drave out before the face of our fathers, unto the days of David;
46 Who found favour before God, and desired to find a tabernacle for the God of Jacob.
47 But Solomon built him an house.
48 Howbeit the most High dwelleth not in temples made with hands; as saith the prophet,

How do we get ourselves ready to receive God? When we receive the Holy Ghost, he lives in us. Even Solomon built as we see the greatest temple, yet God was not impressed. What God wants is an open vessel , a willing heart. That’s it a temple that he can truly dwell in.

  19. Acts 7:48&49
48, Howbeit the most High dwelleth not in temples made with hands; as saith the prophet.
49, Heaven is my throne, and earth is my footstool: what house will ye build me? saith the Lord: or what is the place of my rest?

God is a spirit, and we are His temple. He will dwell within the heart of man that loves Him.
1 Cor. 3:16, “Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?”

  20. In this chapter as Stephen is retelling all the things that have been brought down and passed down from one generation to the next, we can see the hand of God upon every situation/event. We have to stop and think what are we passing down to the next generation. We need to continue to share the good news from Genesis to Revelation.

  21. What a beautiful child of God, and excellent Ambassador for Christ Jesus. Looking a whole lot like Jesus Christ interceding for us sinners…….lay no charge.

60 And he kneeled down, and cried with a loud voice, Lord, lay not this sin to their charge. And when he had said this, he fell asleep.

    “Be an example”…………….

  22. 9 And the patriarchs, moved with envy, sold Joseph into Egypt: but God was with him,

Sometimes when you are in your darkest hour, you feel like there’s no help to be found. The bible says God was with Joseph. When you follow the will of God, no matter what you may be going through God will be with you.

  23. 9 And the patriarchs, moved with envy, sold Joseph into Egypt: but God was with him,

“God was with him” There is nothing that we cannot overcome with God on our side. It may not turn out the way we think it should but the end result with God is always the best result. He looks at the big picture while too often we are looking at what is right in front of our eyes.

  24. Acts 7:51 (ESV Strong’s)
51 “You stiff-necked people, uncircumcised in heart and ears, you always resist the Holy Spirit. As your fathers did, so do you.

Stiffnecked- (Dake Study Bible Notes) a [stiffnecked] Greek: sklerotrachelos (G4644), only here in the New Testament but found in the Septuagint in Ex. 33:3,5; 34:9; Dt. 9:6,13 (cp. Dt. 31:27; 2Chr. 30:8; Prov. 29:1). The idea is taken from a stubborn ox that cannot be broken into the yoke and whose neck is so strong that it is hard to turn him to the right or the left in driving.

(JFB) we should view this as the summing up, the brief import of the whole Israelitish history–grossness of heart, spiritual deafness, continuous resistance of the Holy Ghost, down to the very council before whom Stephen was pleading

God was trying to lead his people into a new dimension of greatness and power. For the first time they would have authority over the enemy of their souls and could witness the same miracles, signs, and wonders just like Jesus did be performed by themselves. However they were stiff-necked. This doesn’t mean that they weren’t trying to live for God, but that they refused to change for God.

We can become so stubborn that we end up walking away from the Lord down a different path all the while thinking we are going the right direction. We must trust God. The cure to a stiff-neck is to nod our heads.

Yes Lord I will go. Yes Lord I’ll stop doing that. Yes Lord I will obey, and submit. We need to keep nodding our heads in submission to authority and leadership to avoid being stiff-necked.

  25. 54 When they heard these things, they were cut to the heart, and they gnashed on him with their teeth.

Stephen spoke the history that they already knew. The Jews learn their history from a very young age. They listened until he finished by saying they were no different than their ancestors falling in the same footsteps. Killing men of God sent by God. I believe they knew this in their hearts to be true even if they were in denial. They were witness to the miracles that continued after Jesus passing and they were around while Jesus walked the earth. If it had been a complete fallacy they likely would have just written him off as mad, throw him in jail, or some other punishment. Instead they were convicted and retaliated in anger. Stephen spoke truth so his conscious was clear even into death. He looked toward God and became the first martyr of Christ.

  26. “When they heard these things, they were cut to the heart, and they gnashed on him with their teeth.” The man of God (Stephen) spoke only truth, yet it was offensive. One should never become offend at the truth speaking man of God, but thankful that God (Jesus) is using him. Dear God, soften my heart so that pride or self-righteousness cannot blind or deafen me; “Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done”. In God we trust! What a mighty God we serve! Thank God for his word. God bless America, Jerusalem, and you all in Jesus name, Amen!

  27. Rejected

The message was preached with boldness and they rejected it. They let their pride cloud their ability to see truth. This led to the first record of death for the faith. May we all be as bold if we have the same test.

  28. As they stoned him, Stephen prayed, “Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.” He fell to his knees, shouting, “Lord, don’t charge them with this sin!” And with that, he died. (‭Acts of the Apostles‬ ‭7‬:‭59-60‬ NLT)

Stephen humbled himself before God. He was even privileged to see Him in the sky before his fate. Lord let the wicked see you, let them see the glorious wonder you are. Let them see the power you bestow and the everlasting love that pours from you. God they need you, I need you!

  29. 55 But he, being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up stedfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God,

What a great example of the kind of Christians we should be, especially when faced with persecution

  30. 39 To whom our fathers would not obey, but thrust him from them, and in their hearts turned back again into Egypt,

when we do not obey and rebell against the man of God is as if our hearts turn back to the world. The. Things that are told is to better our lives to lead us in a walk with God.

  31. And the patriarchs, moved with envy, sold Joseph into Egypt: but God was with him, And delivered him out of all his afflictions, and gave him favour and wisdom in the sight of Pharaoh king of Egypt; and he made him governor over Egypt and all his house. (‭Acts‬ ‭7‬:‭9-10‬ KJV)

He had favor amongst his circumstances because God was with him. What a testimony! We see people every day that are going through the stuff of life and some have favor and some do not. Even through the adversity he maintained a focus on God. If we focus on God, we are closer to him. Closeness to someone helps you to get their favor. –The key is who are we close to?

  32. Heaven is my throne !!!! 49. Heaven is my throne, and earth is my footstool; what house will ye build me? saith the Lord: or what is the place of my rest? 50. Hath not my hand made all these things? 51. Ye stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always resist the Ho’-ly Ghost: as your fathers did, so do ye. Exod. 32 : 9 Deut. 10 : 16 Thank you Jesus for the Holy Ghost !!!! I want to make Heaven my home !!!!

  33. Boldness

Passion? You better believe it! Boldness? No doubt! Truth? Stephen speaks it without apology. His final accusations bring some tough words to the religious leaders. Some may say, Stephen is not very diplomatic. If he only would have been more sensitive and careful with his words, he may have lived to preach another day. t’s important for us to remember that diplomacy is not what Stephens life was about. His life was devoted to truth. The problem is not in the words that he spoke. The problem is in the hearts of those listening. Just like Jesus, Stephen speaks the truth and it costs him is life. His message is loud and clear; the Israelite nation reveals again and again the rejection of the God who is their Father. God seeks them and loves them, but they keep running, refusing to turn to Him. In Stephens accusers we see the same pattern. God wants to extend his grace, but instead of recieving it, the people respond by killing the messanger.

  34. 59 And they stoned Stephen, calling upon God, and saying, Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.

60 And he kneeled down, and cried with a loud voice, Lord, lay not this sin to their charge. And when he had said this, he fell asleep.

Stephen was truly a man full of the Holy Ghost and wisdom. After he expounded upon the word beginning with Moses, the people were ‘cut to the heart’ and rather than repent, they again kill the man of God- like their fathers did. Stephen truly forgave the men who murdered him by praying that the Lord not charge these men with this sin.

  35. 58 And cast him out of the city, and stoned him: and the witnesses laid down their clothes at a young man’s feet, whose name was Saul.

59 And they stoned Stephen, calling upon God, and saying, Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.

60 And he kneeled down, and cried with a loud voice, Lord, lay not this sin to their charge. And when he had said this, he fell asleep.

The ultimate forgiveness, I’ll ask this one simple question… can you forgive the people that are in the process of stoning you right now? It’s something to ponder.

  36. He fell to his knees, shouting, “Lord, don’t charge them with this sin!” And with that, he died. (‭Acts of the Apostles‬ ‭7‬:‭60‬ NLT)

Stephen said to Jesus father forgive them for they know not what they do,for they could hardly have been accidental, for they do not weight it,reckon or impute it, that it may not remain against them, to hinder their conversion. For our Saviour commanded, that he practised, and whosoever can pray for his enemies, and do good for evil, and have great evidence that the Spirit of Christ lives in him. In Jesus Name Amen !!!!
