Acts 4

1 And as they spake unto the people, the priests, and the captain of the temple, and the Sadducees, came upon them,

2 Being grieved that they taught the people, and preached through Jesus the resurrection from the dead.

3 And they laid hands on them, and put them in hold unto the next day: for it was now eventide.

4 Howbeit many of them which heard the word believed; and the number of the men was about five thousand.

5 And it came to pass on the morrow, that their rulers, and elders, and scribes,

6 And Annas the high priest, and Caiaphas, and John, and Alexander, and as many as were of the kindred of the high priest, were gathered together at Jerusalem.

7 And when they had set them in the midst, they asked, By what power, or by what name, have ye done this?

8 Then Peter, filled with the Holy Ghost, said unto them, Ye rulers of the people, and elders of Israel,

9 If we this day be examined of the good deed done to the impotent man, by what means he is made whole;

10 Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole.

11 This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner.

12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

13 Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.

14 And beholding the man which was healed standing with them, they could say nothing against it.

15 But when they had commanded them to go aside out of the council, they conferred among themselves,

16 Saying, What shall we do to these men? for that indeed a notable miracle hath been done by them is manifest to all them that dwell in Jerusalem; and we cannot deny it.

17 But that it spread no further among the people, let us straitly threaten them, that they speak henceforth to no man in this name.

18 And they called them, and commanded them not to speak at all nor teach in the name of Jesus.

19 But Peter and John answered and said unto them, Whether it be right in the sight of God to hearken unto you more than unto God, judge ye.

20 For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard.

21 So when they had further threatened them, they let them go, finding nothing how they might punish them, because of the people: for all men glorified God for that which was done.

22 For the man was above forty years old, on whom this miracle of healing was shewed.

23 And being let go, they went to their own company, and reported all that the chief priests and elders had said unto them.

24 And when they heard that, they lifted up their voice to God with one accord, and said, Lord, thou art God, which hast made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all that in them is:

25 Who by the mouth of thy servant David hast said, Why did the heathen rage, and the people imagine vain things?

26 The kings of the earth stood up, and the rulers were gathered together against the Lord, and against his Christ.

27 For of a truth against thy holy child Jesus, whom thou hast anointed, both Herod, and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles, and the people of Israel, were gathered together,

28 For to do whatsoever thy hand and thy counsel determined before to be done.

29 And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant unto thy servants, that with all boldness they may speak thy word,

30 By stretching forth thine hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of thy holy child Jesus.

31 And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.

32 And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common.

33 And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all.

34 Neither was there any among them that lacked: for as many as were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the prices of the things that were sold,

35 And laid them down at the apostles’ feet: and distribution was made unto every man according as he had need.

36 And Joses, who by the apostles was surnamed Barnabas, (which is, being interpreted, The son of consolation,) a Levite, and of the country of Cyprus,

37 Having land, sold it, and brought the money, and laid it at the apostles’ feet.

  1. Verse 12 AMP “And there is salvation in and through no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by and in which we must be saved.” Same verse MSG “Salvation comes no other way; no other name has been or will be given to us by which we can be saved, only this one.” No other name, No other name……..Jesus!

In reading this chapter (beginning of verse 13 MSG “They couldn’t take their eyes off them—Peter and John standing there so confident, so sure of themselves!….”) and Pastor’s message last night, it reminded me of a song I just heard by the group Salvador called Shine:

I woke up to another day
    Another day to celebrate
    Your beauty and your mystery
Is more than any, I can see

I’m not the man I was before
With You, my life is so much more
Break the chains and open doors, to a world I can’t ignore

Lord, let me shine, shine like the moon
A reflection of You in all that I do
Lord, let me be, a light for Your truth
Light of the world, I wanna be used to shine for You

As simple as a passing smile
    Or listening a little while
To someone that’s convinced that they are in this all alone

But, here’s my chance to share the news
To introduce the good that’s You
Here You go again, You never cease to blow my mind

You’re the love that we all need
You lift us up to our feet
You hold the key to eternity
The King of Kings, alive in me

    Shine for You
    To shine for You
    To shine for You

  2. 7. And when they had set them in the midst, they asked, By what power, or by what name, have ye done this?

    10. Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole.

    What’s your power source?
They knew that these men didn’t have the power to do this on their own, but they soon found out that their power (and ours) is in the Name of Jesus!
If you’re trying to live life with no power, it’s time to get plugged in to the source!

  3. Acts 4:5
And it came to pass on the morrow that their rulers and elders and scribes

We must obey are elders and rulers that god puts us with everyday so we can make it to heaven. AMEN

  4. Miracles have no age limit!

22 For the man was above forty years old, on whom this miracle of healing was shewed.

Just yesterday morning seeing sister Davis husband get baptized in the name of Jesus, gave me hope!!!!
Prayer, Faith, and Endurance. I seen the joy on her face. Which gave the women which stood next to the same hope. God is always faithful.

For there is no respect of persons with GOD.

  5. Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.

Haha, love this and i do pray for boldness of the Holy Ghost for the church. Because it doesnt matter if you ignorat or intelligent God just needs a vessel willing.

  6. Courage or Cowardice

    Acts 4:29-30 (NLT)
29 And now, O Lord, hear their threats, and give us, your servants, great boldness in preaching your word. 30 Stretch out your hand with healing power; may miraculous signs and wonders be done through the name of your holy servant Jesus.”

On June 25th 2015 the supreme court nullified 14 states bans on homosexual marriage. Within hours churches filled with people praying, and interceding for this country. People took off from their jobs and ran to the house of God for a time of weeping, travail, intercession, and supplication. Knowing that the US now resembled Sodom and Gomorrah a cry of repentance went forth from America like Ninevah in the days of Jonah.

Sadly this story is a fabrication and not what happened at all. For the most part those who call themselves Christians bowed out, accepted what happened, and articles were printed that said we must now live with a mild form of persecution in a post-Christian nation.

I point the finger of blame at no one but a sense of rising persecution is in the atmosphere. When things become challenging what will we choose to do?

Will we concede, compromise, and give in? Will we let out a whimper and pray Jesus rescues us from this place? Or will we ask for boldness to speak the word followed by healings, signs, miracles, and wonders?

The church has always thrived the most during great persecution. When they lit Christians in fire in Rome like candlesticks the revival was spreading like wild fire. God give us the boldness to stand for truth, and attack the gates of hell that cannot prevail against the church of the living God!

  7. My daily prayer

16 Saying, What shall we do to these men? for that indeed a notable miracle hath been done by them is manifest to all them that dwell in Jerusalem; and we cannot deny it.

This is what I want to hear out of my doctors. I heard it once, so I know my God can do it again. Have you ever seen the face of a doctor that don’t believe in God see a miracle preformed in their face. A lot of doctors tend not to believe in God; the reason for it is because they have had so much learning that it makes them look for a rational explanation or a scientific explanation for the supernatural. I have had several doctors that don’t know God, mock me, not directly but you know it by the way they express themselves. There was one time that when a positive report was given after so many negatives that when I said Thank you Jesus, my doctor felt indignation and said why thank Him if I was the one that gave you the medications that made you better. My reply: God gave you that knowledge for you to serve me and help me heal. EVERYTHING, I MEAN EVERYTHING BELONGS TO GOD; so in all reality even the minerals, herbs, etc where they extracted whatever they put inside those pills was created by GOD and GOD ALONE.

MAY THE LORD ONCE AGAIN LET THEM LOOK CONFUSED AS WHY HEALING HAPPENED, HOW IT HAPPENED, AND BY WHAT NAME, WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS HEALING. THANK YOU JESUS AMEN.

  8. 29 And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: grant unto thy servants, that with all boldness they may speak thy word,
30 By stretching forth thine hand to heal: and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of thy holy child Jesus.
31 And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost and they spake the word of God with boldness.
in verse 24 they lifted their VOICE to God, not their voices. They were of the same mind, with one accord. They were on the same page, and lifted their voice up. They proclaimed who God was through their prayer. They spoke with one accord to speak God’s WORD with boldness. THEY PRAYED WITH BOLDNESS FOR BOLDNESS and the place was shaken! They were filled with the Holy Ghost and their prayer was answered.

  9. Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus. (‭Acts‬ ‭4‬:‭13‬ KJV)

Have you been with Jesus? Can people tell when we have been with Jesus? I have not stood in a court being accused of something. I have had the occasion to speak into someones life the peace and love of Jesus. I was in Atlanta riding an elevator and this man entered clearly in a horrible mood. I started the normal elevator chit-chat and he proceeded to unload some of his issues. I could offer no solution to his personal persecution but I did tell him I would pray for him to be strong and act wisely.

He looked at me funny and said only if you pray in the name of Jesus. We both smiled and I replied there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. The man got off the elevator on my floor and we stood and discussed the grace and mercy of the Lord for 30 minutes. When we departed the man was in a better mood and ready to tackle the day. What a powerful name, the name of Jesus!

  10. MORE JESUS

33 And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all.

The resurrection of the LORD JESUS is a topic that brings “GREAT POWER”. We need not make up creative stories about our LORD, but simply share what has already happened.

The resurrection represents “NEW LIFE”. An old way of living is passed away and a NEW LIFE is possible through JESUS. We are BLESSED to be able to share the testimony of our risen LORD JESUS. I pray that we are not guilty of only sharing this powerful testimony only around Easter when the pagan world celebrates with bunnies and eggs.

    Let the CHURCH say AMEN!

Great POWER is revealed in the resurrection of JESUS. Lets commit to share HIM and HIS testimony with all that will hear.

    The Fine Line of Debate

2 Being grieved that they taught the people, and preached through Jesus the resurrection from the dead.

10 Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole.

We live in a modern society today that frown upon public or even private debate of the Word of God. The Apostles openly debated the Word of God even though it “grieved” the elders and got the Apostles locked up. The Word says in verse :8 that Peter was filled with the Holy Ghost and that he told the elders of Israel that they had killed the Lord Jesus and God raised him from the dead. In other places, the Apostles challenged false teachers and openly engaged in debate.

The fine line of debate comes in to play with the level of authority that God has given. Many try to debate in their own authority and thereby bring open shame to the gospel because their debate was fueled by pride instead of the Holy Ghost.

  12. 10 Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole.

In what name? JESUS NAME!!! Doing everything in Jesus name because there is no other name, nothing is to hard for Him, nothin is impossible, we can do all things thru His name, people get healed in His name, we see miracles in His name, the devil trembles when we say the name of Jesus, the dead will rise in His name, the name above all name, the name that gives us life and freedom. I WANT MORE OF YOU JESUS!!!! Everything we do, see, hear, touch, you have created with perfection. Jesus is the answer to everything!!!! What ever the problem, trial, or situation….Jesus is the answer!!!! Wanting MORE like never before!!!! In Jesus Name!!!

  13. 12 There is salvation in no one else! God has given no other name under heaven by which we must be saved.”

No other name than the name of Jesus!

  14. Acts 4:23-31
And being let go, they went to their own company, and reported all that the chief priests and elders had said unto them. And when they heard that, they lifted up their voice to God with one accord, and said, Lord, thou art God, which hast made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all that in them is: Who by the mouth of thy servant David hast said, Why did the heathen rage, and the people imagine vain things? The kings of the earth stood up, and the rulers were gathered together against the Lord, and against his Christ. For of a truth against thy holy child Jesus, whom thou hast anointed, both Herod, and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles, and the people of Israel, were gathered together, For to do whatsoever thy hand and thy counsel determined before to be done. And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant unto thy servants, that with all boldness they may speak thy word, By stretching forth thine hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of thy holy child Jesus.
And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.

Prayer was the first response, it was not a last resort. They lifted up their voice to heaven, acknowledging who Jesus was and asking for boldness in the face of persecution. They did not ask to be delivered from this persecution. So many times we get hit with the storms of life and all we see is those storms. We panic and try to get ourselves out and when we finally do pray we beg God to get us out. The early Christians knew what they were up against, they had followed the teachings of the priests since birth. Even so, knowing the consequences they fully put their trust in God first and asked for boldness. It was through their boldness that many were saved. As the church of today faces persecution we should also hit our knees first and not shy away from the trouble but ask God for strength and boldness in this time. And through that we will see revival, in our churches, in our cities, and all throughout the people.

  15. 8 Then Peter, filled with the Holy Ghost, said unto them, Ye rulers of the people, and elders of Israel,

    9 If we this day be examined of the good deed done to the impotent man, by what means he is made whole;

10 Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole.

Peter was quick to tell of the power of God and by this power was the lame man made whole. We today can have the same move of God by the power of the Holy Ghost.

  16. Acts 4:13
“Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ingnorant men, they marvelled: and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.”

“They took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.”
People will know when we have been with Jesus by the way we talk, by the way we walk, and by our actions.

This made me think of a song.
When the world looks at you do they see Jesus
When the world looks at you what will they see
    Will they see hope
    Will they see love
    Will they see charity
When the world looks at you what do they see

Do they see that you have been with JESUS?

  17. 6 And Annas the high priest, and Caiaphas, and John, and Alexander, and as many as were of the kindred of the high priest, were gathered together at Jerusalem.

7 And when they had set them in the midst, they asked, By what power, or by what name, have ye done this?

8 Then Peter, filled with the Holy Ghost, said unto them, Ye rulers of the people, and elders of Israel,

In the midst of some high officials Peter was given the opportunity to share the good news of the gospel. I’ve noticed in numerous settings while reading through the Book of Acts, that many opportunities arose for the gospel to be shared, and it was asked of the apostles about it. This let’s me know that they were living their testimony. There was something about them that caused even high priest to recognize they were different.

Our testimony must be seen and speak what our mouth is saying. If we are one way at church and another at home and at work, we are not living our testimony. We must be genuine. If we walk in the Spirit, we will have the mind of the spirit and therefore do the work of the spirit on a daily basis, which includes living our testimony. Then His Spirit within us will draw attention to the difference in us and will open doors for us to share the gospel as well.

  18. 13 Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus. (NLT)

My band director in high school would always tell us, don’t be shy about whatever it is your playing, every part is important, so even if your the “background” noise be bold because those playing the moving parts need you to balance and keep a grounding for them.

In the same fashion, we must be bold as Peter and John were, we should never be ashamed or timid when we say the name of Jesus – let people hear you. This world is out to proclaim everything but the name of Jesus, it’s time church for us to stand and boldly proclaim back the name of Jesus.

  19. Acts 4:18 Then they called them in again and commanded them not to speak or teach at all in the name of Jesus. But Peter and John replied. Which is right in God’s eyes to listen to you or to him? You judges! As for us we cannot help speaking about what we have seen and heard.

  20. 18 And they called them, and commanded them not to speak at all nor teach in the name of Jesus.
19 But Peter and John answered and said unto them, Whether it be right in the sight of God to hearken unto you more than unto God, judge ye.
20 For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard.

When evil is good. And good is evil.

There is coming a day when we will be judged for what we say, speak, and do. The judgement day. We must seek and pray for a true apostolic boldness to come on us. A boldness that will accelerate the gospel. I believe as the years have gone by that the church as a whole has gotten very complacent with where they’re at. Don’t offend anyone, don’t say the wrong thing. Yet the bible is offensive. It’s te word of God. God is our creator. The words that our parents told us were most of the time offensive to us, yet they were out of love. Gods word is his way of speaking to us. And when it offends us it’s because he loves us.

  21. 13 Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.

They had been with the Lord… They “shined” from the glory of God and it was evident because their “human nature” as the sauducess saw that they were unlearned, was no longer them, but rather a boldness and a power to speak the Word of God. May the people be able to see this on ourselves as we go around proclaiming the good news. It just reminded me of Pastor’s message last night. Let’s continue to turn to God that God may shine through us.

  22. “There is salvation in no one else! God has given no other name under heaven by which we must be saved.” The members of the council were amazed when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, for they could see that they were ordinary men with no special training in the Scriptures. They also recognized them as men who had been with Jesus.”
    ‭‭Acts of the Apostles‬ ‭4:12-13‬ ‭NLT‬‬

This portion of scripture seems to go along with last nights message. They recognize them as men who have been with Jesus. There’s no denying when someone has been in the presence and glory of God there’s evidence written on our faces.

  23. The apostles prayed for boldness to preach the word. The one thing we lack in the contemporary church is boldness. We walk on eggshells to not offend people. Christianity is so diluted that it is no longer potent enough to make a difference. May our prayer lives revive (especially in our homes) and may apostolic boldness baptize us one again.

  24. Bearing His Name

16 Saying, What shall we do to these men? for that indeed a notable miracle hath been done by them is manifest to all them that dwell in Jerusalem; and we cannot deny it.

17 But that it spread no further among the people, let us straitly threaten them, that they speak henceforth to no man in this name.

Opposition may not be able to deny the proof, but that doesn’t mean that they won’t try to shut it down. I noticed that while the Jews directed their actions towards Peter and John, they still described what Peter and John did as speaking “in this name.” They remembered the recent events of Jesus’ trial and crucifixion and what He had done with preaching and teaching and doing miracles. Whether they wanted to admit it or not, Peter and John reminded them of Jesus and their minds recalled His name. Later, the believers were given the label “Christians” in a negative way, because they were known for being like Jesus. The opposition may try to stop His name, but they must face that name of Jesus in order to do so. We can never surrender His name or stop preaching it.

    Matthew 1:21
And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.

  25. 13-14 They couldn’t take their eyes off them—Peter and John standing there so confident, so sure of themselves! Their fascination deepened when they realized these two were laymen with no training in Scripture or formal education. They recognized them as companions of Jesus, but with the man right before them, seeing him standing there so upright—so healed!—what could they say against that?

Don’t be ashamed of what God has done or is doing in your life or someone else’s. Be bold in your testimonies, when you spread Gods word it may be the only truth that some one will here. People may think we are ordinary but when we speak they here God and they know we are used by God! 🙂

  26. Giving in the name of the King Jesus…..

I thankyou Lord for everything I have. I got it all from Jesus. How many of us would sell everything we had a give it all away for the gospel? I’ve done this but for Jesus and I recieved it all back again.THANKYOU my savior…Jesus. you’re an on time God.

I’ve lost things even if I didn’t choose to. But as long as Jesus won’t be taken away I’m happy.the apostles were right on time speaking about Jesus to the people. And they wanted to thank them for sharing Jesus’ Good News to them. I don’t think there’d any price to put on the Word of God. But if it means that someone cares enouph to keep my soul from going to the place where I will burn if I don’t have God,I will and have to give to the teacher or place where I’m taught the Gospel of JESUS.

I love Jesus and I’m glad that someone cared (apostle) enouph to pray me through to recieve the Holy Ghost. I’ve repented and then I recieved (Holy Ghost). Acts2:38.

  27. Acts 4:13
Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.

    COURAGE
One person with courage is a Majority!

In this chapter I see courage on display in the life of Peter and John. They were throw in jail for preaching and performing a miracle. When the council ask about their ministry, Peter boldly asserts that the name of Jesus, not their own talent, had heal the man. He also explains that salvation comes through no other name.

Many of us need courage to stand against was wrong and stand up for what the Bible stands for.

    As leaders we need :

Courage to seek the truth and live by the truth.

Courage to change and step aside our comfort zone.

Courage to express our conviction and conviction also help us to stand alone. The test of courage come when we’re in the minority.

    Courage to overcome obstacles.

Project Courage, learn and grow, we haven’t learn until we we step out, take a risk and do something new.

Courage to lead, leadership is the exprecion of courage that compels others to do the right thing.

  28. 8 Then Peter, filled with the Holy Ghost, said unto them, Ye rulers of the people, and elders of Israel,

    9 If we this day be examined of the good deed done to the impotent man, by what means he is made whole;

  29. 13 The members of the council were amazed when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, for they could see that they were ordinary men with no special training in the Scriptures. They also recognized them as men who had been with Jesus.

Do men of God need training? The Holy Spirit will guide the men of God during preaching. I’ve heard from friends before, they don’t want to hear a preacher who has no education, degree or training. They figure what can they teach me. My response is “I’ll take a man of God led by the Holy Spirit anytime over one with a degree”. I tell them, “did the apostles have a degree”? Of course not, Jesus chose them to spread the word of God.

We have to have the boldness to speak about the word and teach the word. We have to read and study the word to be prepared when someone wants to talk about the bible.

  30. Act 4:11 — Act 4:12
This Jesus is the stone that was rejected by you, the builders, which has become the cornerstone.
And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”

As Christians it is important to know God and His Word because if we know His Word we will be on the strongest foundation ever heard of and there will be nothing that will move us or destroy us. We must make Him and His Word our foundation.

  31. 13 Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.

How being with Jesus makes a difference! We can stand in the middle of Yale and Harvard grads and speak boldly about Jesus the savior of all man kind, crucified and raised from the death and be marvalled at by educated man. Fearing God is the beginning of wisdom, acknowledging him is understanding. So how can we say we know anything or have wisdom without knowing Him. Impossible!

  32. 21 So when they had further threatened them, they let them go, finding nothing how they might punish them, because of the people: for all men glorified God for that which was done.

22 For the man was above forty years old, on whom this miracle of healing was shewed.
miracles done by the hand of God are possible at any age. God has no limits; man has limits.

  33. 35 And laid them down at the apostles’ feet: and distribution was made unto every man according as he had need.

Each disciple in the church offers a very unique piece to a grand masterpiece. It is when we all come together with the mind to give our all and an attitude to help other that we become effective. I read a quote that says “fair is not always equal but what each person needs at that time to be successful.” Our needs are all different just as our strengths but together we are powerful because we make sure each person has what they need to be successful. We also make sure each person is ready to be in position when their unique piece is needed.

    We give our all!

  34. “Being grieved that they taught the people, and preached through Jesus the resurrection from the dead.” They were grieved (hurt, upset) on what was done in the name of God (name is Jesus). If every time the word of Jesus is taught or preached and it hurts the adversary (satan), why would one not want to be a part (outreach, witnessing, worship, prayer, etc.). Dear God, awaken me so that I may also do my part; “Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done”. “In God we trust”. What a mighty God we serve! Thank God for his word. God bless America, Jerusalem, and you all in Jesus name, Amen!

  35. “Now, Lord, consider their threats and enable your servants to speak your word with great boldness.”(Acts‬ ‭4:29‬ ‭NIV‬‬)

Oh lord, forgive those’s that have threatin me to used the deadliest weapon against me for, they don’t know how bad of a wound they have putin inside of me for, I know that you will restore health in me and heal me from my wounds from my battles that I’ve fought. Oh god ask you if you could help me speak your word with great boldness to theses lost souls in this world that we live in. Grant to Your servants that with all boldness they may speak Your word, by stretching out your hand to heal and that signs and wonders may be done through the name of your holy servant jesus. For,this request is consumed with God’s cause and glory, and not the comfort and advancement of the disciples. For the things that will lead to more confrontation, not less. In Jesus Name Amen!!!

  36. “the stone you builders rejected, which has become the capstone.” (vs11)

When I read this verse I am reminded of how the people sung him praises, hosana in the highest on palm Sunday. Jesus said to the Pharisees in the response of their disbelief “if they keep quiet, the stones will cry out.” (Lk 19:40). The same people who will sing you praises for good works are the same who can later stab you in the back. In Jesus’ case in the side as they crucified him. The very person the religious leaders would not praise is the only one who can bring salvation. Their is no other name but Jesus! The world rejected Jesus but he was the only one in the world who could save their souls. We can choose to make Jesus our cornerstone in out lives or let the stones cry out. I will praise the Lord!

  37. In the name of the Lord

7 And when they had set them in the midst, they asked, By what power, or by what name, have ye done this?

In the days of the Kings and kingdoms they would use messengers. The messenger would come to another king and deliver or Jerold the message from the other king or kingdom. When he was heard he immediately told Of the king that sent him before he was permitted to speak. This was for two reasons. The first is the king that was reviewing the message didn’t give ear to just anyone, he wanted to know who was speaking to him. The second reason is that the messenger needed the name of the king to save his life. If the messenger told the King something he didn’t want to hear the king would sentence Jim to death but if the king was submitted tithe authority of the king that sent him then the messenger would live. We need the covering of the name son our lives to be effective in our message to the world. Otherwise we are just speaking to sided ears because they have no respect of who we are or we are destroyed because of the lack of authority . I carry the name of the Lord Jesus

  38. There is no other name by which you can be saved but the name of Jesus Christ……..Amen!

    “Call out that glorious name”…………….

  39. Peter !!!! 8. Then Pe’-ter, filled with the Ho’-ly Ghost, said unto them, Ye rulers of the people, and elders of Is’-ra-el, 9. If we this day be examined of the good deed done to the impotent man, by what means he is made whole; 10. Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Is’-ra-el, that by the name of Je’-sus Christ of Naz’-a-reth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole. Thank you Jesus for taking all our sins upon you !!!!

  40. “Being grieved that they taught the people, and preached through Jesus the resurrection from the dead.”
    ‭‭Acts‬ ‭4:2‬ ‭KJV‬‬

All of Acts is full of verses that show you that not everyone will want you to spread the gospel of Christ. This verse is a prime example.

  41. 12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

13 Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.

14 And beholding the man which was healed standing with them, they could say nothing against it.
