Acts 13

1 Now there were in the church that was at Antioch certain prophets and teachers; as Barnabas, and Simeon that was called Niger, and Lucius of Cyrene, and Manaen, which had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch, and Saul.

2 As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them.

3 And when they had fasted and prayed, and laid their hands on them, they sent them away.

4 So they, being sent forth by the Holy Ghost, departed unto Seleucia; and from thence they sailed to Cyprus.

5 And when they were at Salamis, they preached the word of God in the synagogues of the Jews: and they had also John to their minister.

6 And when they had gone through the isle unto Paphos, they found a certain sorcerer, a false prophet, a Jew, whose name was Barjesus:

7 Which was with the deputy of the country, Sergius Paulus, a prudent man; who called for Barnabas and Saul, and desired to hear the word of God.

8 But Elymas the sorcerer (for so is his name by interpretation) withstood them, seeking to turn away the deputy from the faith.

9 Then Saul, (who also is called Paul,) filled with the Holy Ghost, set his eyes on him.

10 And said, O full of all subtilty and all mischief, thou child of the devil, thou enemy of all righteousness, wilt thou not cease to pervert the right ways of the Lord?

11 And now, behold, the hand of the Lord is upon thee, and thou shalt be blind, not seeing the sun for a season. And immediately there fell on him a mist and a darkness; and he went about seeking some to lead him by the hand.

12 Then the deputy, when he saw what was done, believed, being astonished at the doctrine of the Lord.

13 Now when Paul and his company loosed from Paphos, they came to Perga in Pamphylia: and John departing from them returned to Jerusalem.

14 But when they departed from Perga, they came to Antioch in Pisidia, and went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and sat down.

15 And after the reading of the law and the prophets the rulers of the synagogue sent unto them, saying, Ye men and brethren, if ye have any word of exhortation for the people, say on.

16 Then Paul stood up, and beckoning with his hand said, Men of Israel, and ye that fear God, give audience.

17 The God of this people of Israel chose our fathers, and exalted the people when they dwelt as strangers in the land of Egypt, and with an high arm brought he them out of it.

18 And about the time of forty years suffered he their manners in the wilderness.

19 And when he had destroyed seven nations in the land of Chanaan, he divided their land to them by lot.

20 And after that he gave unto them judges about the space of four hundred and fifty years, until Samuel the prophet.

21 And afterward they desired a king: and God gave unto them Saul the son of Cis, a man of the tribe of Benjamin, by the space of forty years.

22 And when he had removed him, he raised up unto them David to be their king; to whom also he gave their testimony, and said, I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after mine own heart, which shall fulfil all my will.

23 Of this man’s seed hath God according to his promise raised unto Israel a Saviour, Jesus:

24 When John had first preached before his coming the baptism of repentance to all the people of Israel.

25 And as John fulfilled his course, he said, Whom think ye that I am? I am not he. But, behold, there cometh one after me, whose shoes of his feet I am not worthy to loose.

26 Men and brethren, children of the stock of Abraham, and whosoever among you feareth God, to you is the word of this salvation sent.

27 For they that dwell at Jerusalem, and their rulers, because they knew him not, nor yet the voices of the prophets which are read every sabbath day, they have fulfilled them in condemning him.

28 And though they found no cause of death in him, yet desired they Pilate that he should be slain.

29 And when they had fulfilled all that was written of him, they took him down from the tree, and laid him in a sepulchre.

30 But God raised him from the dead:

31 And he was seen many days of them which came up with him from Galilee to Jerusalem, who are his witnesses unto the people.

32 And we declare unto you glad tidings, how that the promise which was made unto the fathers,

33 God hath fulfilled the same unto us their children, in that he hath raised up Jesus again; as it is also written in the second psalm, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee.

34 And as concerning that he raised him up from the dead, now no more to return to corruption, he said on this wise, I will give you the sure mercies of David.

35 Wherefore he saith also in another psalm, Thou shalt not suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.

36 For David, after he had served his own generation by the will of God, fell on sleep, and was laid unto his fathers, and saw corruption:

37 But he, whom God raised again, saw no corruption.

38 Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins:

39 And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses.

40 Beware therefore, lest that come upon you, which is spoken of in the prophets;

41 Behold, ye despisers, and wonder, and perish: for I work a work in your days, a work which ye shall in no wise believe, though a man declare it unto you.

42 And when the Jews were gone out of the synagogue, the Gentiles besought that these words might be preached to them the next sabbath.

43 Now when the congregation was broken up, many of the Jews and religious proselytes followed Paul and Barnabas: who, speaking to them, persuaded them to continue in the grace of God.

44 And the next sabbath day came almost the whole city together to hear the word of God.

45 But when the Jews saw the multitudes, they were filled with envy, and spake against those things which were spoken by Paul, contradicting and blaspheming.

46 Then Paul and Barnabas waxed bold, and said, It was necessary that the word of God should first have been spoken to you: but seeing ye put it from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, lo, we turn to the Gentiles.

47 For so hath the Lord commanded us, saying, I have set thee to be a light of the Gentiles, that thou shouldest be for salvation unto the ends of the earth.

48 And when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad, and glorified the word of the Lord: and as many as were ordained to eternal life believed.

49 And the word of the Lord was published throughout all the region.

50 But the Jews stirred up the devout and honourable women, and the chief men of the city, and raised persecution against Paul and Barnabas, and expelled them out of their coasts.

51 But they shook off the dust of their feet against them, and came unto Iconium.

52 And the disciples were filled with joy, and with the Holy Ghost.

  1. 30. But God raised him from the dead:

Oh, the testimonies we could give where we’d say, “but God…”!

    I would have wrecked, but God intervened;

    I was sick but God healed;

I was bound but God delivered…

  2. How awesome to know that my God is not dead; but, he is alive! The same God who Paul was preaching about is calling us out for “real life”. We too can help spread this Message of salvation and it can spread like wildfire all through the region as the end of verse 49 says in the MSG version.

  3. 47 For the Lord gave us this command when he said, ‘I have made you a light to the Gentiles, to bring salvation to the farthest corners of the earth.

Its funny how some have interpreted this verse, the “corners of the earth” to try and say that Christians still believe the earth is flat. A coworker who is an unbeliever tried to use this verse to ridicule me. But I had to explain it to him what this verse meant.

God wants us to be able to reach as many people as possible, to tell them about the plan of salvation. There are evangelists all of the world, telling the people about Jesus. Evangelist need our prayers and support, they face many challenges, and we should appreciate the work and time they put into their ministry, and thank them for their servant spirit.

  4. 40 Beware therefore, lest that come upon you, which is spoken of in the prophets;

The Jews were this people, they refused to accept the message that was delivered to them. God turned from the Jews and gave the Holy Ghost unto the Gentiles. God only turned from them that did not accept him as the Messiah that brought life to them. These people were so set in the way they thought the Messiah should come, they could not accept Jesus as the Messiah. We should read and understand the word of God, where we see Jesus Christ just like he is.

  5. iLove to eat More Word

    Row, Row, Row Your Boat
“5 And when they were at Salamis, they preached the word of God in the synagogues of the Jews: and they had also John to their minister.”

This morning as I was reading the blog, I looked up the Word “minister” and was a little surprised at this particular meaning (as there are several different words rendered servant in the Greek). This word servant in particular is the following:

    Servant:G5257
    ὑπηρέτης
    hupēretēs
    hoop-ay-ret’-ace
From G5259 and a derivative of ἐρέσσω eressō (to row); an under oarsman, that is, (genitive case) subordinate (assistant, constable): – minister, officer, servant.

So, with that being said, ministers of The Pentecostals of Fort Worth, it’s time to get to work…Row, Row, Row…put your back into it…Let’s get going. 🙂 Seriously, to be a minister is to serve the people.

  6. It seems before someone preaches to the Jews, they must first give a history lesson. We know the story of Stephen how he spent 40+ verses teaching a history lesson before he delivered his message. Here Paul and Barnabas do the same.

Even thought they both prove they knew what they were talking about and were educated men, the Jews did not accept the message.

Society today is so much less strict with their idolatry. If the message make them feel good; it must be good. I am thankful for a Pastor that preaches THE WORD; no matter if it feels good – it is the TRUTH.

  7. 45 when the Jews saw the multitudes, they were filled with envy, and spake against those things which were spoken by Paul, contradicting and blaspheming.

REVIVAL IS ALIVE TODAY!!!!! We hear about all this churches experiencing REVIVAL! We must REJOICE with the Angels in Heaven for every sinner that comes home!!!! Let not our hearts be filled with envy, it does not matter as long as we keep working together for REVIVAL to continue!!!! I love my church POFW FOR OUR REVIVAL IS STRONG AND STEADY, but my heart REJOICES FOR EVERY CHIRCH OF UPC THAT GROWS FOR THAT MEANS THE TRUTH IS BEING PREACHED!!! Nueva Vida Miami has been growing strong since our Pastors visit and I rejoice for them. Envy has no room in a Holy Ghost Filled saint.

  8. MORE HUNGER FOR THE WORD OF GOD

7 Which was with the deputy of the country, Sergius Paulus, a prudent man; who called for Barnabas and Saul, and desired to hear the word of God.

In each of us resides a sincere undiscovered deep desire to know GOD. Some have experieenced the opportunity to feed this hunger, while multitudes are still searching for IT.

In Acts 13 we find a relevant testimony and situation that we could and most likely will face in our generation.

The hunger for GOD invited the WORD of GOD, which also triggered the adversary of GOD, which provoked the Man of GOD to execute the judgement of GOD to release the SPIRIT of GOD which manifest the Fruit of GOD. (JOY)

  9. 2 As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them.

3 And when they had fasted and prayed, and laid their hands on them, they sent them away.

Sometimes we need to seperate ourselves from people and the things of this world that distract us to bring ourselves in a closer relationship with God. When you feel like your relationship is pulling away from God, that’s when you need to take a step back and give yourself some seperation so that you can make sure that God is first in your life,

  10. MORE JOY

Boldness with the WORDS of the LORD obviously attract 2 forces.

    Light – Dark
    Negative – Positive
    Right – Wrong
    Truth – Lie
    Joy – Anger

Salvation is eternal and should generate an eternal appreciation to GOD for deliverance from the judgement of sin.

HOLY GHOST filled people should be the most JOYFUL people in the world!

52 And the disciples were filled with joy, and with the Holy Ghost.

Wipe that frown from your face
Wipe those tears from your eyes
Wipe that anger from your heart
with a fiery Holy Ghost prayer meeting until you “Pray through” or get over “it”. Pray until you cannot speak words in your known language.

    iRepent
    iPraise
    iPray
    iRepeat
    iWork
    iGive
    iReap
    iRepeat
    iJoy

  11. 2 As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them.
3 And when they had fasted and prayed, and laid their hands on them, they sent them away.

In order for God to speak to you, you have to be at the right place. They were praying and fasting when God spoke. Then once He spoke, they didn’t RUSH into anything, in the NLT is states “after MORE fasting and prayer”. Once you hear from God you can’t just stop praying. We must pray MORE, fast MORE.

(NLT) 3 So after more fasting and prayer, the men laid their hands on them and sent them on their way.

  12. Hungry for the word

42 And when the Jews were gone out of the synagogue, the Gentiles besought that these words might be preached to them the next sabbath.

We have the luxury of reading a completely compiled Bible that has been reviewed for content that would most likely have not been in it. Regardless of the translation you use, the fact that Jesus died for sins and that we can live for him through faith is in every book. These people had to go on what they heard when they heard it. The only text available was the OT, and that was not freely accessible within each house. Many of the Christians who died for their faith did not have the luxury of reading the word, and we have difficulty reading a chapter everyday.

  13. 2 As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them.

3 And when they had fasted and prayed, and laid their hands on them, they sent them away.

4 So they, being sent forth by the Holy Ghost, departed unto Seleucia; and from thence they sailed to Cyprus.

Many may feel the call to go preach and here in the word, the Holy Ghost called out the ones chosen to do so. This was followed by fasting and prayer and then a time in prayer where they were sent out or what we might call commissioned to go to the city of their calling-not the city of their choosing. Staying in the Spirit and in his will, will assure us that we are on track. It is noted here that they had John to their minister-they were not free agents so to speak! Help us be -help me be- constrained by the Holy Ghost and in your will.

  14. JESUS
    Acts 13:39-39
38, Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins:
39, And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses.

Eph. 1:7, “In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace.”
Acts 4:12, “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.”

Salvation, Redemption, Forgiveness of sins, and Justification are all ours because of JESUS CHRIST.
Thank You JESUS for Loving Us so much! Thank You JESUS for your Mercy and Grace!

  15. But when the Jews saw the multitudes, they were filled with envy, and spake against those things which were spoken by Paul, contradicting and blaspheming. Then Paul and Barnabas waxed bold, and said, It was necessary that the word of God should first have been spoken to you: but seeing ye put it from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, lo, we turn to the Gentiles. For so hath the Lord commanded us, saying, I have set thee to be a light of the Gentiles, that thou shouldest be for salvation unto the ends of the earth. (‭Acts‬ ‭13‬:‭45-47‬ KJV)

First you wanted more of Gods word then you turned your back on it and make fun of it? It’s okay cause God has given your gift of salvation and could bless some body else with it. Jesus Help us.

  16. 47 For the Lord gave us this command when he said, ‘I have made you a light to the Gentiles, to bring salvation to the farthest corners of the earth.’ ” (NLT)

We are called just as Paul and Barnabas were. God is looking for His people to stand and declare His gospel, His truth, that all would be saved!

  17. 2 As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them.

3 And when they had fasted and prayed, and laid their hands on them, they sent them away.

Many people fast to get God to move in a particular situation, however, I personally feel that fasting is for us individually. Fasting purifies our spirit and mind, causes us to crucify our flesh and remove any idols or obstacles to hearing the voice of the Lord speak.

They fasted, they prayed, God spoke and they obeyed.

  18. Acts 13:42 As Paul and Barnabas were leaving the synagogue the people invited them to speak further about these things on the next Sabbath. When the congregation was dismissed many of the Jews and devout converts to Judaism followed Paul and Barnabas who talked with them and urged them to continue in the grace of God.

  19. Acts 13:23
Of this man’s seed hath God according to his promise raised unto Isreal a savior Jesus

We must promise what God is going to do for us and follow it or we will be lost and not make it to heaven More Jesus. Amen

  20. 45 But when the Jews saw the multitudes, they were filled with envy, and spake against those things which were spoken by Paul, contradicting and blaspheming.

    Jealously.

Have you ever by jealous at someone? Have you ever by the person that someone is jealous at?
We treat people differently when we have an ought with them. The bible says to ask them to forgive you. And then ask for forgiveness from God. I find it interesting when someone doesn’t want a gift. So then that gift is given to someone else. Then the first party gets mad because they didn’t get that gift. We must all be carful to these things. So that we stay true and right with God.

  21. Acts 13:22
And when he had removed him, he raised up David to be their king, of whom he testified and said, I have found in David the son of Jesse a man after my heart, who will do all my will.

This is what we must strive for, to be after God’s heart and be willing to do His will. How do you capture somebody’s heart? By getting to know them, their likes, dislikes, learning everything there is about that person and having a deep intimate relationship with them. This is what we need to have with God. Not just being content with the Blessings He provides, but wanting Him even more than the Blessings.

  22. 46Then Paul and Barnabas answered them boldly: “We had to speak the word of God to you first. Since you reject it and do not consider yourselves worthy of eternal life, we now turn to the Gentiles.”

If angels could preach back in the days of Lot they would say to save your family. Paul is using this very same principle. Every time that they travel to a new city the go first to the Jewish synagogue to teach the gospel. When they reject it they are being directed by God to reach out to the Gentiles. The same would happen to us if we are not in allignent, listening when the Lord brings us revelation.

  23. 46Then Paul and Barnabas answered them boldly: “We had to speak the word of God to you first.

  24. “Now the hand of the Lord is against you. You are going to be blind for a time, not even able to see the light of the sun.” Immediately mist and darkness came over him, and he groped about, seeking someone to lead him by the hand.”‭(Acts‬ ‭13:11‬ ‭NIV‬‬)

The Lord is stopping Elymus in his tracks. He is telling him the punishment for his sins of sorcerery. He is to be blinded like Paul had been blinded on the road to Damacus to grab his attention in hopes for his repentance. He was in desperate need to be saved from the midst and darkness of his wicked lifestyle. When we pray out of desperation in the storms of this life we can call upon him. He can see when we are just as lost and confused like the soccerer. These things can’t hold us down we need him to pull us out of what we got ourselves into. For we know that he always has hand outreached to us in times needed.

  25. Acts 13:8 (Message)
8 But Dr. Know-It-All (that’s the wizard’s name in plain English) stirred up a ruckus, trying to divert the governor from becoming a believer.

    Acts 13:11 (Message)
11 But now you’ve come up against God himself, and your game is up. You’re about to go blind—no sunlight for you for a good long stretch.” He was plunged immediately into a shadowy mist and stumbled around, begging people to take his hand and show him the way.

The know it all thought he had people convinced by his human eloquence and knowledge. However no education will ever impress God.

Even Paul said he determined to know nothing around any man except Christ and him crucified.

Real power comes from the cross. It is the spirit of God that compels people and draws them to him. We must never try and substitute the knowledge of God for the knowledge of Man.

  26. “But when the Jews saw the multitudes, they were filled with envy, and spake against those things which were spoken by Paul, contradicting and blaspheming.” They were upset as they wanted to be the center, which jealousy cost them. One should be careful of envy, for the same act cost lucifer (satan). Dear God, let me not become envious or think myself better than another; “Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done”. “In God we trust”. What a mighty God we serve! Thank God for his word. God bless America, Jerusalem, and you all in Jesus name, Amen!

  27. 43 Now when the congregation was broken up, many of the Jews and religious proselytes followed Paul and Barnabas: who, speaking to them, persuaded them to continue in the grace of God.

It has always been my thought that we are not to try and persuaded people to live for God. In a since this can be true but here we find that Paul and Barnabas “persuaded them.” The scripture says they where “speaking to them” the question is what where they speaking. Knowing the scripture they had to be speaking the word of God. The gospel it’s self. So, in reality the Word of God that was made alive in them “persuaded them to continue in the grace of God.”

I said all that to say once we really get the Word in us and it become alive in us, the persuasion is not on us but we are just the mouth piece of God. His Word is what enters their ears and transforms their lives. It is His Word that turns them from darkness into light but He uses us. All He requires of us is “faithfulness.”

    MORE FAITHFULNESS

    Faithful to teach His Word
    Faithful to Read His Word
    Faithful to Outreach
    Faithful to Pray
Faithful to living an overcoming life

  28. When you’re not walking in the power of the Holy Ghost, it is easy to be deceived by false prophets. God will show you truth when you abide by his word. A true child of God is not easily deceived by what the world presents. They know the truth which has set them free.

  29. 45 But when the Jews saw the multitudes, they were filled with envy, and spake against those things which were spoken by Paul, contradicting and blaspheming.

46 Then Paul and Barnabas waxed bold, and said, It was necessary that the word of God should first have been spoken to you: but seeing ye put it from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, lo, we turn to the Gentiles.

Paul and barnabas waxed bold. That boldness came in face of persecution. We pray for boldness, but we dont always realize we don’t always need a boldness in peaceful and calm times. Its opposition and troubling times that require a boldness to preach the gospel and stand for truth.

  30. “When the next Sabbath came around, practically the whole city showed up to hear the Word of God. Some of the Jews, seeing the crowds, went wild with jealousy and tore into Paul, contradicting everything he was saying, making an ugly scene.

But Paul and Barnabas didn’t back down. Standing their ground they said, “It was required that God’s Word be spoken first of all to you, the Jews. But seeing that you want no part of it—you’ve made it quite clear that you have no taste or inclination for eternal life—the door is open to all the outsiders. And we’re on our way through it, following orders, doing what God commanded when he said, I’ve set you up as light to all nations. You’ll proclaim salvation to the four winds and seven seas!””
    ‭‭Acts‬ ‭13:44-47‬ ‭MSG‬‬

Be careful, if you don’t received the blessing someone else will. The Lord commanded these two, just like he’s commanded us all, to go and preach the gospel to the world. We can’t be stopped by a few scenes of name calling or mockery, there are too many souls on the line. Some people will receive it and others will mock it.

  31. 46 Then Paul and Barnabas waxed bold, and said, It was necessary that the word of God should first have been spoken to you: but seeing ye put it from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, lo, we turn to the Gentiles.

The jews weren’t so willing to accept the word of the lord. The gentiles were showing that they were showing a spritual hunger for the things of God. Im so grateful that God gave us gentiles a chance.

  32. We have been given the greatest gift of salvation, and we don’t deserve it nor can we ever repay the debt that was paid. You don’t get extra credit for good deeds, or any kind of points for charity. Christ Jesus once he arosed from the grave he sealed the deal for our redemption, and cleansed us from all sin. Past, Present, and future, and yes confession, true repentance, and turning are the keys to walking safe, clean, free, and blessed……..

34 And as concerning that he raised him up from the dead, now no more to return to corruption, he said on this wise, I will give you the sure mercies of David.

    “Stay”………………..

  33. 5 And when they were at Salamis, they preached the word of God in the synagogues of the Jews: and they had also John to their minister.

Where ever they were sent by the HG they preached the Word of Jesus Christ. When I read the Word it just opens up a new dimension because it’s just allowing for me to be mor connected to God. To be able to hear His voice more clearly, to think differently, to see differently, to put my focus on Jesus and not on the things of this world. Jesus is the light and the way and will always be there for me no matter what. Jesus is greater and beyond anything that I can explain. Without you Jesus I am nothing. Direct my paths Jesus!!!! MORE JUDAH!!!

  34. 51 But they shook of the dust of their feet against them, and came into Iconium.
Paul and Barnabas were preaching and were come against by envious Jews, rejecting the Word of God. They were kicked out of the city ( which was the mildest persecution they faced), but that didn’t stop them nor put them in bad spirits. They dusted themselves off and kept moving!

  35. The lost treasure

When you have an abundance of anything it seems to be less valuable. When you are a billionaire a one hundred dollar bill doesn’t mean as much to you as it does to someone that is struggling to pay their bills. When the gospel was preached to the Jews it was as if they were rich already and passed it off as just words among a great history of prophets and great men of God. but when the gospel was preached to them that had nothing, they received it with gladness. The Jews had a lost treasure and the Gentiles found it. Are we the same in the church today? Do we pass off the gospel preached day in and out in our local church as just another word among words? Or do we treasure it and give it the fear and respect that it truly deserves?

  36. 38 Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins:

39 And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses.

I’m thankful that we have a savior our Lord Jesus Christ and paid the price for our salvation.

  37. To reach the world we much share the
Good New. We must encourage and uplift them.
“After the usual readings from the books of Moses and the prophets, those in charge of the service sent them this message: “Brothers, if you have any word of encouragement for the people, come and give it.”

As Paul and Barnabas left the synagogue that day, the people begged them to speak about these things again the next week. Many Jews and devout converts to Judaism followed Paul and Barnabas, and the two men urged them to continue to rely on the grace of God.”

    ‭‭Acts of the Apostles‬ ‭13:15, 42-43‬ ‭NLT‬‬

  38. “Then Saul, (who also is called Paul,) filled with the Holy Ghost, set his eyes on him, And said, O full of all subtilty and all mischief, thou child of the devil, thou enemy of all righteousness, wilt thou not cease to pervert the right ways of the Lord? And now, behold, the hand of the Lord is upon thee, and thou shalt be blind, not seeing the sun for a season. And immediately there fell on him a mist and a darkness; and he went about seeking some to lead him by the hand. Then the deputy, when he saw what was done, believed, being astonished at the doctrine of the Lord.”
    ‭‭Acts‬ ‭13:9-12‬ ‭KJV‬‬

This is a hard scripture for people who think God will not cause you to become sick. His man was well. Paul was full of the Holy Gost and he said the man would be blind and it was so. After the man went blind it caused others to be turned to the Lord. Whew! What a word! Sometimes when we are going through things it causes others to come to Christ!

  39. Act 13:1-3

I love the vision of the church in Antioch!!!

Because it remains COMMITED to GLOBAL IMPACT, busy about raising up leaders and also thrives because of its vision to send out leaders as a team, members with complementary gifts and they also shared the vision. This enables them to connect with people and produce results almost everywhere they went.
