Acts 13

1 Now there were in the church that was at Antioch certain prophets and teachers; as Barnabas, and Simeon that was called Niger, and Lucius of Cyrene, and Manaen, which had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch, and Saul.

2 As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them.

3 And when they had fasted and prayed, and laid their hands on them, they sent them away.

4 So they, being sent forth by the Holy Ghost, departed unto Seleucia; and from thence they sailed to Cyprus.

5 And when they were at Salamis, they preached the word of God in the synagogues of the Jews: and they had also John to their minister.

6 And when they had gone through the isle unto Paphos, they found a certain sorcerer, a false prophet, a Jew, whose name was Barjesus:

7 Which was with the deputy of the country, Sergius Paulus, a prudent man; who called for Barnabas and Saul, and desired to hear the word of God.

8 But Elymas the sorcerer (for so is his name by interpretation) withstood them, seeking to turn away the deputy from the faith.

9 Then Saul, (who also is called Paul,) filled with the Holy Ghost, set his eyes on him.

10 And said, O full of all subtilty and all mischief, thou child of the devil, thou enemy of all righteousness, wilt thou not cease to pervert the right ways of the Lord?

11 And now, behold, the hand of the Lord is upon thee, and thou shalt be blind, not seeing the sun for a season. And immediately there fell on him a mist and a darkness; and he went about seeking some to lead him by the hand.

12 Then the deputy, when he saw what was done, believed, being astonished at the doctrine of the Lord.

13 Now when Paul and his company loosed from Paphos, they came to Perga in Pamphylia: and John departing from them returned to Jerusalem.

14 But when they departed from Perga, they came to Antioch in Pisidia, and went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and sat down.

15 And after the reading of the law and the prophets the rulers of the synagogue sent unto them, saying, Ye men and brethren, if ye have any word of exhortation for the people, say on.

16 Then Paul stood up, and beckoning with his hand said, Men of Israel, and ye that fear God, give audience.

17 The God of this people of Israel chose our fathers, and exalted the people when they dwelt as strangers in the land of Egypt, and with an high arm brought he them out of it.

18 And about the time of forty years suffered he their manners in the wilderness.

19 And when he had destroyed seven nations in the land of Chanaan, he divided their land to them by lot.

20 And after that he gave unto them judges about the space of four hundred and fifty years, until Samuel the prophet.

21 And afterward they desired a king: and God gave unto them Saul the son of Cis, a man of the tribe of Benjamin, by the space of forty years.

22 And when he had removed him, he raised up unto them David to be their king; to whom also he gave their testimony, and said, I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after mine own heart, which shall fulfil all my will.

23 Of this man’s seed hath God according to his promise raised unto Israel a Saviour, Jesus:

24 When John had first preached before his coming the baptism of repentance to all the people of Israel.

25 And as John fulfilled his course, he said, Whom think ye that I am? I am not he. But, behold, there cometh one after me, whose shoes of his feet I am not worthy to loose.

26 Men and brethren, children of the stock of Abraham, and whosoever among you feareth God, to you is the word of this salvation sent.

27 For they that dwell at Jerusalem, and their rulers, because they knew him not, nor yet the voices of the prophets which are read every sabbath day, they have fulfilled them in condemning him.

28 And though they found no cause of death in him, yet desired they Pilate that he should be slain.

29 And when they had fulfilled all that was written of him, they took him down from the tree, and laid him in a sepulchre.

30 But God raised him from the dead:

31 And he was seen many days of them which came up with him from Galilee to Jerusalem, who are his witnesses unto the people.

32 And we declare unto you glad tidings, how that the promise which was made unto the fathers,

33 God hath fulfilled the same unto us their children, in that he hath raised up Jesus again; as it is also written in the second psalm, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee.

34 And as concerning that he raised him up from the dead, now no more to return to corruption, he said on this wise, I will give you the sure mercies of David.

35 Wherefore he saith also in another psalm, Thou shalt not suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.

36 For David, after he had served his own generation by the will of God, fell on sleep, and was laid unto his fathers, and saw corruption:

37 But he, whom God raised again, saw no corruption.

38 Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins:

39 And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses.

40 Beware therefore, lest that come upon you, which is spoken of in the prophets;

41 Behold, ye despisers, and wonder, and perish: for I work a work in your days, a work which ye shall in no wise believe, though a man declare it unto you.

42 And when the Jews were gone out of the synagogue, the Gentiles besought that these words might be preached to them the next sabbath.

43 Now when the congregation was broken up, many of the Jews and religious proselytes followed Paul and Barnabas: who, speaking to them, persuaded them to continue in the grace of God.

44 And the next sabbath day came almost the whole city together to hear the word of God.

45 But when the Jews saw the multitudes, they were filled with envy, and spake against those things which were spoken by Paul, contradicting and blaspheming.

46 Then Paul and Barnabas waxed bold, and said, It was necessary that the word of God should first have been spoken to you: but seeing ye put it from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, lo, we turn to the Gentiles.

47 For so hath the Lord commanded us, saying, I have set thee to be a light of the Gentiles, that thou shouldest be for salvation unto the ends of the earth.

48 And when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad, and glorified the word of the Lord: and as many as were ordained to eternal life believed.

49 And the word of the Lord was published throughout all the region.

50 But the Jews stirred up the devout and honourable women, and the chief men of the city, and raised persecution against Paul and Barnabas, and expelled them out of their coasts.

51 But they shook off the dust of their feet against them, and came unto Iconium.

52 And the disciples were filled with joy, and with the Holy Ghost.

  1. Acts 13:52
And th disciples were filled with joy and with the holy ghost.

We all must be filled with the holy ghost to make it to heaven and filled with joy too and we must help others in this world too.

  2. 46. Then Paul and Barnabas waxed bold, and said, It was necessary that the word of God should first have been spoken to you: but seeing ye put it from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, lo, we turn to the Gentiles.

When a word comes to us from God, we must be careful not to put it from us, it may never come again; we aren’t guaranteed another chance.

  3. 40 Beware therefore, lest that come upon you, which is spoken of in the prophets;

41 Behold, ye despisers, and wonder, and perish: for I work a work in your days, a work which ye shall in no wise believe, though a man declare it unto you.

When we believe that God can do anything, there is no limit to what our God can do. To be doubters and despisers in God’s power will not help us in our day as it did not help in that day. God will work a work, but will we see it because of all our unbelief.

    “Sons of the devil”

10Then he said, “You son of the devil, full of every sort of deceit and fraud, and enemy of all that is good! Will you never stop perverting the true ways of the Lord?

In the book of Acts, the Apostles didn’t play around with sin. Can you imagine this scene played out in the 21 century? This Apostle in today’s society would have been accused of being judgmental, angry, mean, and most of all unlike Christ. The truth of the matter is being a Christian is not always tiptoeing through the tulips. Those who would distract others from believing in the Word of the Lord have got to be dealt with, whether they are old or even if they are our own children. As a parent of a son myself, I refuse to raise a “son of the devil”.

  5. 3 And when they had fasted and prayed, and laid their hands on them, they sent them away.

With the little tests in life I’m reminded that it’s not my time, it’s God’s time. And because it is His time He will send me when the time is write but for now I must work, and walk with Him continually.

  6. From the point on Luke identifies Saul as Paul and Paul also emerges as the leader of the missionary team. Earlier it was Barnabas and Saul and now it becomes Paul his companions.

  7. 2 As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them.
3 And when they had fasted and prayed, and laid their hands on them, they sent them away.
4 So they, being sent forth by the Holy Ghost, departed unto Seleucia; and from thence they sailed to Cyprus.

Often times we see where pride rises up, and in both denominal and UPC churches will spring up running just a few, which being led by some person who could not wait to be sent, so they went.

We are blessed to b led by a strong man of God who humbled himself until he was sent, meaning he, like Paul and Barnabas, walks with great power and authority. We would be wise to follow his example and his lead. This would also keep us under authority, as long as we are obedient and stay under authority.

  8. MORE BELIEF = MORE SALVATION

The apostle Paul stands to declare what GOD Is doing, why GOD is doing it and who GOD is doing it for.

The trend we witness throughout history is that some fear (respect) the LORD and others have no respect for the LORD.

    RESPECT = Salvation through JESUS
REJECTION = False accusation and persecution of the innocent

The KEY in relationship with JESUS is having the LOVE of GOD shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost through FAITH. The words of GOD are eternal; they have a beginning but never die. Therefore the WORD of GOD speaks to every generation and tongue for the space of time as we know it.

Taking this principal one step further, every rhema or prophetic WORD of GOD must also be eternal. It will come to pass. This means that if one person does not believe the WORD that GOD spoke to them, then the WORD of GOD does not die but resinates until someone believes it.

We witness this here in chapter 13. The Jews did not believe in JESUS and the Gentiles did. The Jews rejected salvation and the Gentiles received salvation.

Consider how many prophetic WORDS from the GOD are resinating in the atmosphere that have been rejected and are awaiting for someone to BELIEVE them to receive them unto SALVATION for sin or situation.

In JESUS name today I claim prophetic WORDS of GOD that are resinating in the region of Fort Worth over the years of Revival, Harvest and Blessing.

    iRepent
    iPraise
    iPray
    iWork
    iGive
    iReap

  9. 44 And the next sabbath day came almost the whole city together to hear the word of God.

45 But when the Jews saw the multitudes, they were filled with envy, and spake against those things which were spoken by Paul, contradicting and blaspheming.

It started in the synagogue of the Jews, then to the Gentile’s and next the whole city came to hear the gospel preached! But the original people this message was given to became envious and turned against the message of truth. We at POFW are at ground zero of the revival coming to this city, will we become envious of the souls God sends? The harvest is plentiful and as the laborers, we should be rejoicing over what the Lord is doing and rejoice with the Angels of heaven when a sinner repents!

  10. Respect

25 And as John fulfilled his course, he said, Whom think ye that I am? I am not he. But, behold, there cometh one after me, whose shoes of his feet I am not worthy to loose.

In today’s society respect is a vulgar term in which a portion of the population cannot even define. I hate to say it but my generation started this downward turn in our society. My generation was raised in a land of opportunity and undefined boundaries by our hippy minded parents. Of course, this does not apply to all but we are to blame. A growing lack of adult authority has bred a ‘spoilt generation’ of children who believe adults must earn these adolescences respect. The rise of this disease in thinking spans divides (societal class & race) and I believe is the root cause for some of today’s major youth issues’ childhood obesity, teenage pregnancy; suicide, etc…

This was not the attempt. I believe the purpose was to create a generation that could think outside the lines of tradition and make more educated decisions for themselves. What has happened is a generation with a lack of discipline in that started in the classroom which have fostered rising levels of violence, at home, at school and in the street.

What will it take to get this generation back inline?

  11. 52 And the disciples were filled with joy, and with the Holy Ghost.

As God’s Holy Ghost filled disciples, we should also be filled with joy! How can you be filled with one but not the other? You are either filled with the Holy Ghost and the joy of it is revealed – at all times – or vise versa, hatred and sadness, both of which would say that there is no Holy Ghost filling you.

We are Holy Ghost filled believers POFW, hallelujah! If that doesn’t put a smile on your face and give you joy… Well.

  12. COMPLETE OBEDIENCE

Paul and Barnabas were completely obedient to God. They did not use excuses to not get things accomplished, and did everything possible to stay within the purpose of God in their lives. 46 Then Paul and Barnabas waxed bold, and said, It was necessary that the word of God should first have been spoken to you: but seeing ye put it from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, lo, we turn to the Gentiles.

The Jews did not want to listen to the truth even when they were taken in history all the way back to the judges. Sometimes we can not pried the eyes of the blind open no matter how much you try. For it is God and their own desire to see the truth that allows the scales to fall from their eyes. God gives us the discerning spirit to know when they want to stay blind, but we will never give up, we can keep them in our daily prayers so their heart will soften and they will listen to the word of God so their eyes will be open. Paul and Barnabas know the truth, know the promises, for God tells us in His word in Matthew 10:14 And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet.
God gave them instruction of what to do when they are not welcome, when His word is not accepted by the blindness of this world. The same happened here in Acts 13:51 But they shook off the dust of their feet against them, and came unto Iconium.

I am thankful for their decision to share Jesus Christ with the gentiles. Now, I am here so happy to be able to serve Him freely, no longer blind, but full of His Joy. Lord help us be able to discern if the person desires keep his scales on his eyes, show us when to walk away, and when to stay. NEVER, EVER giving up for always putting them in our daily prayers for their stony heart to turn into a heart of flesh so the seed of your word can be planted and it may give us fruit. Allow us never to take anything personally, rejection hurts, but as in your word to just shake the dust of our shoes and walk away. FOR YOUR LOVE IS SUFFICIENT FOR US. In Jesus Name AMEN

  13. 48 When the Gentiles heard this, they were very glad and thanked the Lord for his message; and all who were chosen for eternal life became believers. 49 So the Lord’s message spread throughout that region.

This tells me, if someone is willing and ready to hear from the Lord, then anyone can receive an understanding of the word. Once you get past your pride of not needing God in your life, then submission comes into your heart, and willing to obey God’s voice.

  14. 2 As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them.

3 And when they had fasted and prayed, and laid their hands on them, they sent them away.

Fasted and Prayed. Prayer is an incredible thing to do, but with fasting it is God Thing! We must not forget to pray and fast!

  15. 50 But the Jews stirred up the devout and honourable women, and the chief men of the city, and raised persecution against Paul and Barnabas, and expelled them out of their coasts.

51 But they shook off the dust of their feet against them, and came unto Iconium.

52 And the disciples were filled with joy, and with the Holy Ghost.

When people or things come against us, we do not need to let it stop us from praising God, but get up, shake it off and receive the joy of the Lord!

  16. Act 13:6 — Act 13:8
When they had gone through the whole island as far as Paphos, they came upon a certain magician, a Jewish false prophet named Bar-Jesus.
He was with the proconsul, Sergius Paulus, a man of intelligence, who summoned Barnabas and Saul and sought to hear the word of God.
But Elymas the magician (for that is the meaning of his name) opposed them, seeking to turn the proconsul away from the faith.

Today there are some churches that prefer to have their programs, talented musicians and singers over anointed ones, and a preacher that only preaches what the congregation wants to hear. They are satisfied with just showing up and maybe shedding a tear or two and then going back to their regular lives, but people that are hungry and intelligent will always go out seeking for the truth and what God really is saying and wants for their lives. Let’s spread the truth!

  17. 2 As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them.
3 And when they had fasted and prayed, and laid their hands on them, they sent them away.
4 So they, being sent forth by the Holy Ghost, departed unto Seleucia; and from thence they sailed to Cyprus.

Being separated to do the will of God.

As humans we are scared of separation. We like to be connected. But when the Lord moves you. You move. My family knows this all to well. When we moved from Illinois to here in Texas, my family was separated from everything we knew. Family, friends, job, home, ect. Everything changed. But thanks be to God. When we move my family got healing. We were rejuvenated. We are happy. I thank God every day for the separation that took place. Trust in him and your pastor.

  18. 47For so hath the Lord commanded us, saying, I have set thee to be a light of the Gentiles, that thou shouldest be for salvation unto the ends of the earth.

If they were called to be a light unto the Gentiles why do they stop first at a Jewish synaqogue? Paul was a Jew himself and has a burden for them and they are following the example of Jesus. Everytime Jesus went somewhere he went 1st to a Jewish synagogue. Some believed, some recived healing, some didn’t but they fact is they tried. To be a soul winner we don’t pick and choose who we will reach out to. We take the same chances of being shot down and try to reach everyone we can that “thou shouldest be for the salvation unto the ends of the earth.” (vs 47)

  19. 2 As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them.

Seperate!!! Seperate from the things of this world. If I truly want to follow God His word says to “When Jesus heard this, he said to him, “You still lack one thing. Sell everything you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.” Luke 18:22
I want to have treasure up in heaven rather than in the Earth because I want to have eternal life. I trust you Jesus and will leave to follow you.

  20. “Through this man and by him”
    Acts 13:38-39
“Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness (being forgiven, pardoned) of sins.
39, And by him all that believe are justified (to free from blame, declare guiltless, acquit, absolve) from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses.”

So Thankful today for the forgiveness and justification of Jesus Christ. He pardoned us (released us from the punishment of our sins) and we are found guiltless and blameless. So Thankful for the Mercy and Grace of God.
It is only “through this man and by him,” Jesus, that we or anyone else can be forgiven and justified. So tell someone today about the Goodness of Jesus Christ and what He wants to do for them.

  21. v2″ As they ministered to the Lord, and fast”

GOD has called all believers to be ministers.
Some may preach, some may minister at nursing homes, but all must minister zealously to others on Christ’s behalf .
We must boldly proclaim that JESUS CHRIST is the ONLY WAY, THE ONLY TRUTH AND THE ONLY LIFE.
There is no other gospel and there is no other Savior
    JESUS is the only way.

  22. 25 And as John fulfilled his course, he said, Whom think ye that I am? I am not he. But, behold, there cometh one after me, whose shoes of his feet I am not worthy to loose.

Yeah, we do great things for God, but we will never be as amazing as God. We are not worthy to be called a god.

  23. Acts 13:50 (KJV Strong’s)
50 But the Jews stirred up the devout and honourable women, and the chief men of the city, and raised persecution against Paul and Barnabas, and expelled them out of their coasts.

Honorable- g2158. εὐσχήμων euschēmōn; from 2095 and 4976; well-formed, i.e. (figuratively) decorous, noble (in rank): — comely, honorable.
    AV (5) – honourable 3, comely 2;
of elegant figure shapely, graceful, comely, bearing one’s self becomingly in speech or behaviour
of good standing honourable, influential, wealthy, respectable

Chief men – g4413. πρῶτος prōtos; contracted superlative of 4253; foremost (in time, place, order or importance): — before, beginning, best, chief(-est), first (of all), former.
    AV (104) – first 84, chief 9, first day 2, former 2, misc 7;
first in time or placein any succession of things or persons
first in rank influence, honour chief principal

They couldn’t get God behind them so they turned to their celebrities, the successful, and the influential. This is truly the mark of a fallen culture, and society.

  24. Minister
to serve the state at one‘s own cost
to assume an office which must be administered at one‘s own expense

2 As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them.
3 And when they had fasted and prayed, and laid their hands on them, they sent them away.

“They ministered to the Lord… ” revelations 12 says they “laid down their lives unto death” nothing is more important than the service of God. Our lives are to minister unto God through service and honor unto God. We live for Him.

  25. 6 And when they had gone through the isle unto Paphos, they found a certain sorcerer, a false prophet, a Jew, whose name was Barjesus:

It’s often said that one cannot lead where one has not been. Sauls transformation into Paul began on the road to Damascus. At the beginning of the journey Saul was a Jew blinded by tradition, standing in the way of God, and in a sense perverting the right ways of the lord. He was blinded for a season by his encounter with Jesus and led into town. He eventually became Paul once fully transitioning into living for Jesus. Now he comes face to face with a Jew standing in the way of God and perverting the right ways of the lord. Paul brings forth the same experience he had with his encounter with Jesus and puts it on barjesus. It isn’t stated if barjesus transformed his ways lil Paul did but others believed because of this. When we come through our trials we walk with God differently. We can take people to those levels as well. We can minister there once we’ve been through there.

  26. 26 Men and brethren, children of the stock of Abraham, and whosoever among you feareth God, to you is the word of this salvation sent.

It is exciting to know that Jesus loves us so much that He chose to sacrifice himself on our behalf! Jesus has excluded no one in His great love!!

  27. Acts 13:46 Then Paul and Barnabas waxed bold, and said, it was necessary that the Word of God should first have been spoken to you: but seeing you put it from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, Lo, we turn to the gentle.

Paul’s missionary principle was always to go to his own people, the Jews, first (Rom.1:16), but he always went to the Gentiles, too, and indeed was known as the Apostle to the Gentiles (Gal.2:7,8; Eph. 3:6-8).

  28. 8 But Elymas the sorcerer (for so is his name by interpretation) withstood them, seeking to turn away the deputy from the faith.

One would be wise to stay clear of anyone that would; withstand, rebel, talk about, back stab, etc. the word of God (Jesus) or the true man of God (true man of God preaches/teaches the whole word of God, is full of the Holy Ghost, and lives a Christ like life). Dear God, let me be ever mindful of your word and you’re anointed; “Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done”. “In God we trust”. What a mighty God we serve! Thank God for his word. God bless America, Jerusalem, and you all in Jesus name, Amen!

  29. “So they shook the dust off their feet as a warning to them and went to Iconium.”
    ‭‭Acts‬ ‭13:51‬ ‭NIV‬‬

If you’re shunned by one, you will be accepted by many others. Don’t take it personal that some people reject the word of God. They arnt rejecting you, they are rejecting Him.

  30. “Then Saul, (who also is called Paul,) filled with the Holy Ghost, set his eyes on him, And said, O full of all subtilty and all mischief, thou child of the devil, thou enemy of all righteousness, wilt thou not cease to pervert the right ways of the Lord?”

If Paul would live today and speak this way to some people I don’t think he would be very popular. He didn’t sugar coat it, he just called him out…. I wonder what the disciples would do if they had an opportunity to live in our time- in the end time…..

  31. Great works & miracles had been done by Paul, by even making a man go blind for a season because of his Sorcery or wickedness. So, you can be punished by a Man of God as well for your actions too. So, if you are corrected by a another brotheren or leadership above you. Just take your medicine, and plea for mercy!

“Be merciful, for they shall obtain mercy”……..Matthew 5:7……………………….

  32. 1 Now there were in the church that was at Antioch certain prophets and teachers; as Barnabas, and Simeon that was called Niger, and Lucius of Cyrene, and Manaen, which had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch, and Saul.

Divine direction is received from the Lord when we separate ourselves with prayer and fasting. Facing a tough decision? Spend time in prayer and fasting and God will come through with direction.

  33. 9 Then Saul, (who also is called Paul,) filled with the Holy Ghost, set his eyes on him.

  34. 45 But when the Jews saw the multitudes, they were filled with envy, and spake against those things which were spoken by Paul, contradicting and blaspheming.

46 Then Paul and Barnabas waxed bold, and said, It was necessary that the word of God should first have been spoken to you: but seeing ye put it from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, lo, we turn to the Gentiles.

When people are they told that if they don’t follow God, they could go to hell and they ask “Why would a loving God send me there?” The real question should be “Why would I wanna go there?”

God loved us so much that he gave us free will to decide where we want to go, and if we decide we don’t want to follow and follow the ways of the World, then there’s nothing God can do to stop it, because we have made our decision. So when you choose not to follow God, you also choose hell, because there is only two places you can go, there is no in between.

  35. So Paul and Barnabas stood up at the synagogue and told of the old teachings, things that are familiar to these Jews. They then lead into how promises were made to their fathers and God fulfilled them to us when he raised up Jesus. That through this man sins can be forgiven and they are no longer bound by the laws of Moses. When they finished preaching even the gentiles wanted to hear more. By the next service the whole city was gathered to hear the word of God.
This is what we have been called to do. As we spread the message of the Gospel of Peace people will come, revival will happen, and there will be a harvest in our great city! This is God’s city! Its time to take it back!!

  36. Sometimes we will have to go through a period where God will give us a new view on life. Seeing with our eyes we can easily get discouraged. When we are seeing through the eyes of God, we can get rid of the doubt that comes to our mind. God has made us to be winners and as winners we can put all unrighteousness under our feet.

  37. Things in our life can look very different if we look at them through Gods eyes. We should look to Him always!

  38. 2 As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them.

3 And when they had fasted and prayed, and laid their hands on them, they sent them

Fasting and prayer are the best way to tune out the world and listen to the voice of God. He will speak and give direction.

  39. “But Elymas, the sorcerer (as his name means in Greek), interfered and urged the governor to pay no attention to what Barnabas and Saul said. He was trying to keep the governor from believing. Saul, also known as Paul, was filled with the Holy Spirit, and he looked the sorcerer in the eye. Then he said, “You son of the devil, full of every sort of deceit and fraud, and enemy of all that is good! Will you never stop perverting the true ways of the Lord? Watch now, for the Lord has laid his hand of punishment upon you, and you will be struck blind. You will not see the sunlight for some time.” Instantly mist and darkness came over the man’s eyes, and he began groping around begging for someone to take his hand and lead him.”
    ‭‭Acts of the Apostles‬ ‭13:8-11‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Don’t ever get in the way of God or especially on His bad side. He’s an all powerful God!!!
