Proverbs 10

1 The proverbs of Solomon. A wise son maketh a glad father: but a foolish son is the heaviness of his mother.

2 Treasures of wickedness profit nothing: but righteousness delivereth from death.

3 The Lord will not suffer the soul of the righteous to famish: but he casteth away the substance of the wicked.

4 He becometh poor that dealeth with a slack hand: but the hand of the diligent maketh rich.

5 He that gathereth in summer is a wise son: but he that sleepeth in harvest is a son that causeth shame.

6 Blessings are upon the head of the just: but violence covereth the mouth of the wicked.

7 The memory of the just is blessed: but the name of the wicked shall rot.

8 The wise in heart will receive commandments: but a prating fool shall fall.

9 He that walketh uprightly walketh surely: but he that perverteth his ways shall be known.

10 He that winketh with the eye causeth sorrow: but a prating fool shall fall.

11 The mouth of a righteous man is a well of life: but violence covereth the mouth of the wicked.

12 Hatred stirreth up strifes: but love covereth all sins.

13 In the lips of him that hath understanding wisdom is found: but a rod is for the back of him that is void of understanding.

14 Wise men lay up knowledge: but the mouth of the foolish is near destruction.

15 The rich man’s wealth is his strong city: the destruction of the poor is their poverty.

16 The labour of the righteous tendeth to life: the fruit of the wicked to sin.

17 He is in the way of life that keepeth instruction: but he that refuseth reproof erreth.

18 He that hideth hatred with lying lips, and he that uttereth a slander, is a fool.

19 In the multitude of words there wanteth not sin: but he that refraineth his lips is wise.

20 The tongue of the just is as choice silver: the heart of the wicked is little worth.

21 The lips of the righteous feed many: but fools die for want of wisdom.

22 The blessing of the Lord, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.

23 It is as sport to a fool to do mischief: but a man of understanding hath wisdom.

24 The fear of the wicked, it shall come upon him: but the desire of the righteous shall be granted.

25 As the whirlwind passeth, so is the wicked no more: but the righteous is an everlasting foundation.

26 As vinegar to the teeth, and as smoke to the eyes, so is the sluggard to them that send him.

27 The fear of the Lord prolongeth days: but the years of the wicked shall be shortened.

28 The hope of the righteous shall be gladness: but the expectation of the wicked shall perish.

29 The way of the Lord is strength to the upright: but destruction shall be to the workers of iniquity.

30 The righteous shall never be removed: but the wicked shall not inhabit the earth.

31 The mouth of the just bringeth forth wisdom: but the froward tongue shall be cut out.

32 The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable: but the mouth of the wicked speaketh frowardness.

  1. A wise son makes a glad father,
But a foolish son is the grief of his mother.

    Treasures of wickedness profit nothing,
But righteousness delivers from death.

The Lord will not allow the righteous soul to famish,
But He casts away the desire of the wicked.

He who has a slack hand becomes poor,
But the hand of the diligent makes rich.

    He who gathers in summer is a wise son;
He who sleeps in harvest is a son who causes shame.

Blessings are on the head of the righteous,
But violence covers the mouth of the wicked.

The memory of the righteous is blessed,
But the name of the wicked will rot.

There is no happier parent than one who knows that his or her child are all saved with their names written in the Lamb’s book of life. Children who are living for Jesus are a joy to any parent. This grief is most deeply felt by the mother, who plays a more intimate role in raising a child.

You cannot buy your way into heaven. You certainly cannot use this ill gotten wealth to purchase eternal life. The only thing that brings life eternal with Jesus our Lord is to be in right standing with Him. “Righteousness” is just that, being in right standing with our Lord. We put on the robe of His righteousness: white as snow, washed in His blood. The greatest of all treasures, life, is gained by righteousness,

In Psalms chapter 37 verse 22-27 we read:
For such as be blessed of him shall inherit the earth; and they that be cursed of him shall be cut off.” “The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way.” “Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with his hand.” “I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.” ” He is ever merciful, and lendeth; and his seed is blessed.” “Depart from evil, and do good; and dwell for evermore.”
How could I even add to all of this? God takes care of His own. You may have a few problems to strengthen you; but you will not go hungry, and you will inherit eternal life.I mean think about it Jesus feeds the birds of the sky what do you think he will do for you , let me reinsure you even more .

Let me say something and I mean I know I’m only 14 but if you make money and you paying bills, giving , tithing, and you broke to me that’s a good broke but if your being a sluggard and being lazy you need to get off yo butt check yo priorities and work son, laziness will get you no were in life and we expect God to move in are lives when’s he’s really waiting for us to move but we are all to busy to doing nothing just being lazy; no you need to get up and do yah work it’s only gooing to bring you poverty and death .

  2. 31. The mouth of the just bringeth forth wisdom: but the froward tongue shall be cut out.

    32. The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable: but the mouth of the wicked speaketh frowardness.

Always pay attention to what people are saying and how they say it; their speech will tell you a lot about them.

    Matthew 12:34,37 KJV
    34. O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.

    37. For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.

  3. The way of the Lord is strength to the upright: but destruction shall be to the workers of iniquity.

Walk in the ways of the Lord. When reading this chapter the thought came to my mind. There is good and evil in almost all things. You can find something negative or positive. But the choice is up to. Choose you this day whom ye will serve.

  4. Proverbs 10:21 (ESV Strong’s)
21 The lips of the righteous feed many,
but fools die for lack of sense.

The righteous feed. The word feed here is the same as when a shepherd takes care of a flock. It’s directly tied to shepherding.

Soul winning, and discipleship should be a natural occurrence to a believer. Our testimony should be in our lips at the ready.

As the word declares we are ready to tell others of the blessed hope. The righteous will be giving freely just as they have been freely given.

Proverbs 10:21 (Good News Translation (GNT))
21 A good person’s words will benefit many people, but you can kill yourself with stupidity.

The words of the righteous are beneficial. On the other hand a fools words don’t get anyone anywhere. In fact you can starve to death listening to a fool.

The righteous speak God’s wisdom. The fool speaks man’s wisdom.

  5. 1 The proverbs of Solomon. A wise son maketh a glad father: but a foolish son is the heaviness of his mother.

It’s hard to describe the suffering a mother feels when her children are acting a fool when it comes to the things of the Kingdom of God. Been there, done that and I’m so thankful that the Lord was my Rock that I could run into and feel safe when the storm was raging.

I can’t imagine how Jesus must feel when He peers over Heaven and sees some of His blood bought children acting out and not being or doing what HE called them to do, and what HE suffered and died for them to do. Lord help us to make the heart of our FATHER glad by living and being like HIM.

  6. MORE BLESSING

22 The blessing of the Lord, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.

I BLESS you in the name of our LORD JESUS today.

A principal of the the WORD of GOD is that we shall have whatsoever we say. Today we are seeking after, praying for and greatly expecting the BLESSING of our LORD JESUS to be on us today.

Practice today on everyone you see and say, “I BLESS YOU IN THE NAME OF JESUS”.

Lets make people rich and throw them into poverty by cursing them with negative words or harmful actions.

The BLESSING of the LORD maketh RICH. Not a better job, a promotion or pay raise. It is the BLESSING of the LORD. Why do we seek riches; whether temporal or eternal through our own hands rather than the hand of the LORD?

    MORE BLESSING through MORE JESUS!

    iRepent
    iPraise
    iPray
    iWork
    iGIve
    iReap

  7. 1. The proverbs of Solomon. A wise son maketh a glad father: but a foolish son is the heaviness of his mother.

Lord knows how much we as mothers suffer for our children, but there is an attachment between a mother and a lost son is so very hard. We cry, we pray, we never give up, and always have Faith. I raise my nephew from the age of 6, he is 38 yrs old now, when he was 25 he was arrested for renting his basement to a person that unaware to him was trafficking drugs through the mail and since his home was a cross the school it became a federal offense. The arresting officer even declare on his behave but the judge wanted to make an example and gave him 5 years. Those were the longest 5 years of my life. Once release he came to church a couple of times but he still lost. My knees will be raw BUT I NEVER LOSE FAITH for it is God’s promise to me. Acts 2:39 “For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.”

  8. iLove to eat More Word

32 The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable: but the mouth of the wicked speaketh frowardness

I pray that the Lord would anoint each at The Pentecostals of Fort Worth with a spirit of Wisdom. I believe God is able and willing to give us the right words to speak in each situation. That our words would be acceptable in the eyes of God and would be full of truth and power.

  9. The Lord will not let a good man starve to death nor will he let the wicked riches continue forever.Lazy men are soon poor but hard workers soon get rich. A good man has firm footing but a crook will slip and fall.

  10. 22 The blessing of the Lord, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.
We belive God wants to bless his people. The question is who will allow God to bless them. When God blessed there is nothing but happiness that comes with it. There are lots of rich people who have lots of money but are not happy. It’s because there blessings are not from the Lord. We must be blessed by him to truly be happy.

  11. “The lips of the righteous feed many: but fools die for want of wisdom”. The man of God (man of God = Holy Ghost filled & whole word teaching/preaching) is feeding many; one that is hungry is (see above…). Dear God, let me not be a fool and die out; “Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done”. “In God we trust”. What a mighty God we serve! Thank God for his word. God bless America, Jerusalem, and you all in Jesus name, Amen!

  12. “The wise store up knowledge, but the mouth of a fool invites ruin.”
    ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭10:14‬ ‭NIV

” take the cotton out of your ears and put it in your mouth”
Most of the time it is better to just shut up and listen. You can learn many things by watching and studying those around you.

  13. 5 He that gathereth in summer is a wise son: but he that sleepeth in harvest is a son that causeth shame.

My dad was a business man. He own a masonry company that my brothers and I grew up working in. There are plenty of benefits being the bosses son. One of the benefits would be that we got to go to lunch at nice places sometimes with my dad and customers while the rest of the crew ate at the job site. We got one on one training and we were promoted faster because of it. The benefits and relation however didn’t keep us from the rules and procedures of the company, because even though he was our dad, he was a just man and he wanted to teach us right. One day he found one of my brothers asleep inside of a project when he should of been working. He got fired on the spot. Dad didnt give him a second chance. He was gone. My brother relented before my dad and got his job back. You cannot sleep when there is work to be done. This natural example is exactly where we find outsells in the spirit. There is work to be done in the kingdom of God. Although we have benefits because we are called his childeren it doesn’t stop the law from pertaining to us. This is harvest time. We cannot fall asleep, we cannot grow weary, we cannot get continent. Now is the time to work and harvest. There will be plenty of time to rest when we rein with him for 1000 years upon his return.

  14. 19 In the multitude of words there wanteth not sin: but he that refraineth his lips is wise.

    Psalm 46:10
Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.

There is something about standing still before the presence of God. Decreasing so God can increase. This is what Salomon meant, we tend to teach an encounter with God like a confession booth. We have one mouth but two ears. God designed it this way for a reason. To listen twice as much as we speak. It is was for us to listen to the voice of God rather to speak to him. Let us not forget that a conversation is a two sided ordeal. Refrain from counseling God, we may think we know what the best outcome would be, but we don’t realize doing this we bring on our own hardships.

  15. Verse 5 is profound when you put it toward the reaping of souls. In the summer when all is right it is smart to gather new people. It is terrible if when people beg onto come for the harvest we go off to rest, start doing other things, or just get lazy and think we don’t have to worry with it.

WHAT’S GOING TO HAPPEN TO THE HARVEST AND TO US IF WE GET LAZY?

  16. Verse 25 MSG “When the storm is over, there’s nothing left of the wicked; good people, firm on their rock foundation, aren’t even fazed.” This reminded me of one of the stories we studied about in Sunday School. In Matthew 7:24-27, Jesus said anyone who listens to His words and obeys them is like a wise man who builds a house on a rock.

  17. “The mouth of a righteous man is a well of life: but violence covereth the mouth of the wicked.”

    ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭10:11‬ ‭KJV‬‬

When a man is righteous they are uncompromisingly living in right standings with God. We have heard this weekend from Bro Henderson that when we begin to do what’s right and do what we know we should do then that shows maturity. We know to do good and we do it not that becomes sin and we begin to live unrighteously. This encourages me to put my hand to the plow and just work and never look back.

  18. 9 He that walketh uprightly walketh surely: but he that perverteth his ways shall be known.

Hallelujah! Our Jesus has ordered our steps and there is no reason to be scared about what our future holds, because Jesus is the one who holds our future!

  19. 5 He that gathereth in summer is a wise son: but he that sleepeth in harvest is a son that causeth shame.

It’s harvest time and the field needs more gatherers to help with the crop. Now is not the time to lay back and let other people do what we should be doing and that is reaching the lost. For the harvest is plentiful but the harvesters are few. We need to reach people who need to hear the gospel of Jesus.

  20. 19 In the multitude of words there wanteth not sin: but he that refraineth his lips is wise.

20 The tongue of the just is as choice silver: the heart of the wicked is little worth.

21 The lips of the righteous feed many: but fools die for want of wisdom.

People always have an opinion and want to put in their 2 cents… It is wise to listen and do it carefully for then one can find out people’s heart. Out off the abundance of the heart the mouth will speak. Remember to speak life

  21. Understanding !!!! 23. It is as sport to a fool to do mischief: but a man of understanding hath wisdom. Prov. 14 : 9 24. The fear of the wicked, it shall come upon him: but the desire of the righteous shall be granted. Job 15 : 21 25. As the whirlwind passeth, so is the wicked no more: but the righteous is an everlasting foundation. PRAISE YE THE LORD !!!! I EXALT YOU !!!! I ADORE YOU !!!! I LOVE YOU !!!!

  22. 3 The Lord will not suffer the soul of the righteous to famish: but he casteth away the substance of the wicked.

Though the righteous may have a need, the Lord will not suffer him to want what is needful for spiritual life. Those who are fervent in spirit, serving the Lord, are rich in faith, and rich in good works will never suffer famine like the Jews in Egypt even in the midst if famine they were protected and provided for by God.

  23. In this scripture, we are instructed on many areas of wisdom. But, one thing stood out to me and that was guarding ones mouth. Keeping ourselves from froward lips, and keeping our tongue or mouth from evil.

    “Guard those lips”…………………
