Proverbs 24

1 Be not thou envious against evil men, neither desire to be with them.

2 For their heart studieth destruction, and their lips talk of mischief.

3 Through wisdom is an house builded; and by understanding it is established:

4 And by knowledge shall the chambers be filled with all precious and pleasant riches.

5 A wise man is strong; yea, a man of knowledge increaseth strength.

6 For by wise counsel thou shalt make thy war: and in multitude of counsellors there is safety.

7 Wisdom is too high for a fool: he openeth not his mouth in the gate.

8 He that deviseth to do evil shall be called a mischievous person.

9 The thought of foolishness is sin: and the scorner is an abomination to men.

10 If thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength is small.

11 If thou forbear to deliver them that are drawn unto death, and those that are ready to be slain;

12 If thou sayest, Behold, we knew it not; doth not he that pondereth the heart consider it? and he that keepeth thy soul, doth not he know it? and shall not he render to every man according to his works?

13 My son, eat thou honey, because it is good; and the honeycomb, which is sweet to thy taste:

14 So shall the knowledge of wisdom be unto thy soul: when thou hast found it, then there shall be a reward, and thy expectation shall not be cut off.

15 Lay not wait, O wicked man, against the dwelling of the righteous; spoil not his resting place:

16 For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again: but the wicked shall fall into mischief.

17 Rejoice not when thine enemy falleth, and let not thine heart be glad when he stumbleth:

18 Lest the Lord see it, and it displease him, and he turn away his wrath from him.

19 Fret not thyself because of evil men, neither be thou envious at the wicked:

20 For there shall be no reward to the evil man; the candle of the wicked shall be put out.

21 My son, fear thou the Lord and the king: and meddle not with them that are given to change:

22 For their calamity shall rise suddenly; and who knoweth the ruin of them both?

23 These things also belong to the wise. It is not good to have respect of persons in judgment.

24 He that saith unto the wicked, Thou are righteous; him shall the people curse, nations shall abhor him:

25 But to them that rebuke him shall be delight, and a good blessing shall come upon them.

26 Every man shall kiss his lips that giveth a right answer.

27 Prepare thy work without, and make it fit for thyself in the field; and afterwards build thine house.

28 Be not a witness against thy neighbour without cause; and deceive not with thy lips.

29 Say not, I will do so to him as he hath done to me: I will render to the man according to his work.

30 I went by the field of the slothful, and by the vineyard of the man void of understanding;

31 And, lo, it was all grown over with thorns, and nettles had covered the face thereof, and the stone wall thereof was broken down.

32 Then I saw, and considered it well: I looked upon it, and received instruction.

33 Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep:

34 So shall thy poverty come as one that travelleth; and thy want as an armed man.

  1. Don’t rejoice when your enemies fall; don’t be happy when they stumble. For the LORD will be displeased with you and will turn his anger away from them. (‭Proverbs‬ ‭24‬:‭17-18‬ NLT)

  2. LETS BUILD POFW

3 Through wisdom is an house builded; and by understanding it is established:
4 And by knowledge shall the chambers be filled with all precious and pleasant riches.
5 A wise man is strong; yea, a man of knowledge increaseth strength.

WISDOM is the application of knowledge. We see houses that are built but not furnished and occupied. These homes are prey for thieves and criminals to take over. The same is possible to the Spiritual House, my body, which houses my life.

Building my life on the WORD of GOD is a sure, solid foundation that stunted sure and forever. The BIBLE is Wisdom and understanding the WORD of GOD is the greatest investment we could afford. Knowledge furnishes our lives with hope, peace and joy. Wisdom empowers us to live IT out and grow stronger in the process.

  3. 31 And, lo, it was all grown over with thorns, and nettles had covered the face thereof, and the stone wall thereof was broken down.
32 Then I saw, and considered it well: I looked upon it, and received instruction.

What do you do when you’ve done all you think you can do? Receive instruction.

My father taught me at a young age to honor and respect those that have gone through life a little long than I. Especially Godly men and women. I have wondered if the reason why our world is turning the way it is, is due to the lack of Men in children’s lives. I thank God everyday for my father and what he taught me before he passed. But thanks be to God that I can say I have God fearing, bible believing, Holy Ghost filled men in my life to help me.

    Be a MAN
    Be the church
    Be Blessed

  4. Proverbs 24:1-7 NLT Don’t envy evil people or desire their company. (2) For their hearts plot violence, and their words always stir up trouble. (3) A house is built by wisdom and becomes strong through good sense. (4) Through knowledge its rooms are filled with all sorts of precious riches and valuables. (5) The wise are mightier than the strong, and those with knowledge grow stronger and stronger. (6) So don’t go to war without wise guidance; victory depends on having many advisers. (7) Wisdom is too lofty for fools. Among leaders at the city gate, they have nothing to say.

Whoo-hoo! In Jesus name, Let’s build

  5. lift your friends and neighbors up, dont bring them down with negative and down talk. do what Jesus would do, uplift and bring joy

  6. 16 For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again: but the wicked shall fall into mischief.

17 Rejoice not when thine enemy falleth, and let not thine heart be glad when he stumbleth:

18 Lest the Lord see it, and it displease him, and he turn away his wrath from him.

I’ve heard it stated that a champion is the one who gets up after falling. You can’t win if you never get back up after a fall, but if you keep getting up, you are still in the race. Keep running this race! But he that endures until the end shall be saved. Matt 10:22

  7. Proverbs 24:10 (KJV Strong’s)
10 If thou faint in the day of adversity,
    thy strength is small.

    Hebrews 12:3-4 (KJV Strong’s)
3 For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds. 4 Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin.

    Isaiah 40:31 (KJV Strong’s)
    31 But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength;
    they shall mount up with wings as eagles;
    they shall run, and not be weary;
and they shall walk, and not faint.

    “I’m not strong enough”
    “It’s too hard”
    “It’s too tough”
    “I can’t do this alone”

God doesn’t expect our strength to save us. In fact he knows it will only fail us. This is why we are told the joy of the Lord is our strength, and it’s not by strength, or by power, but by his spirit!
Our reliance on him gives us the strength we need. He will help us, and give us the grace to endure, be strong, and make it through. Yet to try this alone will only prove futile. Let’s remember it’s his strength and power and not our own.

  8. Proverbs 24:1
“If thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength is small.” (KJV)
“If you fall to pieces in a crisis, there wasn’t much to you in the first place.” (MSG)

    Eph. 6:10-11
    10) Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
    11) Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

The reason so many people fall during a time of crisis, is because they are not strong in the Lord, and they have not experienced His power. They don’t have the armour of God for protection.
In order to stay standing during a crisis, we must know where our strength comes from (it’s in Jesus), and we must know where the power comes from (it’s in Jesus). We must have on the Whole Armour of God, so that we can stand against everything the devil tries to throw or bring against us.

    Be Strong in the Lord!
Keep on the Armour of God!

  9. 6 So don’t go to war without wise guidance; victory depends on having many advisers. (NLT)

How foolish to think we could handle any battles or trials on our own. We need WISE guidance and MANY advisors!!

  10. “A wise man is strong; yea, a man of knowledge increaseth strength.(‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭24:5‬ ‭KJV)

A wise man Is strong; he courageous and resolute himself and is able by wisdom to do greater things that only God has gifted him with than others can accomplish by their own strength. When a weak man thinks to himself that wisdom is too high for him to unbear his knowledge, therefore he will take no pains for it. Doing evil is bad but it’s worse to devise it. All men that relish things that are sweet to them the palate; before them many have no relish for the things that are sweet to the purified soul, and that make us wise unto salvation. In Jesus Name Amen !!!!

  11. 16 The godly may trip seven times, but they will get up again.
But one disaster is enough to overthrow the wicked.

To the godly it doesn’t matter how many times we stumble, we’ll continue to get up to praise and thank God for his goodness. We have the hope with prayer our problems will be solved.

  12. For by wise counsel shall thou make thy war:and in multitude of counsellors there is safety.

Waging war against spirits that may be attacking you is completely understandable. But if you’re going to walk into a battle, you need to have the best wisdom, weapons, and strategy to take the victory. Seek the councel of the men of God in your life, fast, and pray before you step into anything.

  13. 33 Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep:

34 So shall thy poverty come as one that travelleth; and thy want as an armed man.

We don’t need lazy workers in the church! We need people are ready to spiritually get their hands dirty and ready to go out in the field and help bring the harvest.

Laziness can be just like every sin, you can give it an inch and it will take a mile and it will try and consume you. I will admit I have been struggling with this myself in a minor way. When the alarm sounds in my bedroom I don’t wanna get up! I just want a few more minutes of sleep. But I will continue working on not doing that, because I wanna be up praying and reading my bible when I wake up in the morning but I must make sure I give myself the time to do it.

So one thing, like sleeping in, can grow into something bigger, such as having it cut into your time with God. It can prevent you from doing your job properly and getting that raise you want at work. Little things can lead to big things, so cut it off before it has a chance to take root in your life.

  14. 24 He that saith unto the wicked, Thou are righteous; him shall the people curse, nations shall abhor him: 25 But to them that rebuke him shall be delight, and a good blessing shall come upon them.

The world today is all about acceptance, regardless of what the word of God (Jesus) states. One that is unwilling to research as to what the Judge (Jesus) thinks is not very wise; eternity is a very long time. Dear God, bless your word and all that desire more of you; “Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done”. “In GOD we trust”. “One Nation under GOD, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all”. What a mighty GOD we serve! Thank GOD for his word. GOD bless America, Jerusalem, and you all in JESUS name, Amen!

  15. For there shall be no reward to the evil man; the candle of the wicked shall be put out.
These kind if people may seem to shine or leople would look up to them, or seem like their lives are perfect and they have all the resources they need. It won’t last long, the bible says that their candle wick will be put out so they wong be able to shine.

  16. Righteous rise after they fall. If we interpret this a metaphor with seven being the number of completion then someone can completely fall but as long as they get back up they are considered righteous. Never give up and keep trying. You can make it.

  17. 32 Then I saw, and considered it well: I looked upon it, and received instruction.

    Saw It
    Considered It
    Looked Upon It
    Received Instruction

There are steps to understanding instruction and wisdom.

  18. 30 I went by the field of the slothful, and by the vineyard of the man void of understanding;

We must take inventory of our field. It is grown up with weeds and care of this life? Are we letting life manage us instead of us manage our life? Is things of this world more important than things of the Lord. Time is short, there’s no time to lose, no time to waste, the time is now don’t hesitate. It’s time to Rise up and be the Apostolic Church God has placed in the Region of Fort Worth. We have a job to do, and if we aren’t willing to do it, God will raise up a people that will do it!

  19. 6 For by wise counsel thou shalt make thy war: and in multitude of counsellors there is safety.

It is one of the wisest things to surround yourself with good godly friends that you allow to speak truth into your life.

  20. 17 Do not rejoice when your enemy falls,
and let not your heart be glad when he stumbles,
18 lest the Lord see it and be displeased,
and turn away his anger from him.

  21. 24 He that saith unto the wicked, Thou are righteous; him shall the people curse, nations shall abhor him:

It looks like a lot of people are calling wicked people righteous lately, but we can’t get caught up with it or go along with it, and like the old Carman song says…
    Black is black and
    White is white,
    Hell is hot and
    Sin ain’t right,
    God is Holy and
    Christ is coming, and
    Righteousness will prevail

  22. I will rise again, and don’t have a party over my stumble but remember the Lord, then he will turn his wrath in another direction…”It won’t be at me”……………
