Genesis 1

1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.

5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.

6 And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.

7 And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so.

8 And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day.

9 And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so.

10 And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good.

11 And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so.

12 And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good.

13 And the evening and the morning were the third day.

14 And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:

15 And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so.

16 And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also.

17 And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth,

18 And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good.

19 And the evening and the morning were the fourth day.

20 And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven.

21 And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good.

22 And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth.

23 And the evening and the morning were the fifth day.

24 And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so.

25 And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: and God saw that it was good.

26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

29 And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.

30 And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so.

31 And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.

  1. 31 And God saw everything he had made, and, behold, it was very good.

This verse tells me that God made no mistakes. He checked his work after it was complete and determined it was very good. What gives us the right to correct His work. He has alredy done that.

  2. Genesis 1:31
” And God saw everything that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.”

Ecclesiastes 3:11 says, “He hath made everything beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their hearts, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end.”
Psalms 33:8-9 says, “Let all the earth fear the Lord: let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him. For he spake, and it was done; he commanded, and it stood fast.”

The Lord has made everything beautiful. I stand in Awe of Him!

  3. And God said Let there be light: and there was light.

It doesn’t matter the spot your in or how dark you feel your situation has become. With one utterance from His mouth God can shine light so bright on your situation that it casts out the darkest shadows.

  4. And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day. (‭Genesis‬ ‭1‬:‭31‬ KJV)

  5. God will make something good from void and chaos. All things work together for the good of those that love the Lord.

  6. iLove to eat More Word
1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

These are some of my favorite verses to disprove the Trinitarian doctrine. These scriptures are found in the first 3 verses of the bible and in them we find the Father, Son, and the Spirit. What we don’t find are 3 different gods.

    (1) In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth=Father of creation.
    (2) The Spirit of God moved upon the waters=Holy Spirit
    (3) And God said Let there be light=The Word of God is Jesus

These 3 scriptures have helped a lot of people through out the years understand that God is One Lord that was manifested in the flesh.

  7. 27. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

God has a purpose for every one of us and don’t let anyone convince you that you are here by accident or just a part of some “evolutionary chain.” We did not come from some germ and crawl out of the slime and we are not overly-developed monkeys! God wants you here so He created you in his image and He loves you!

  8. 31 Then God looked over all he had made, and he saw that it was very good! (NLT)

How awesome is our God! Just look outside and think, our God made the heavens and the earth, the creatures you pass by, and then look in a mirror and see the most precious creation of all. God formed us in His likeness!

  9. 31 And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.

We’ve been learning about Creation in Sunday School, the faith of such a young child is amazing! They instantly believe that God created the Earth. No doubt. If only adults could have the FAITH like a child, imagine the outcome. We wouldn’t doubt the faith being preached over the platform, we wouldn’t question the word, we wouldn’t have a “prove it” mentality.
We would utterly and entirely trust our man of God, and the Word!

  10. It’s hard to work at night

4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.

5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.

    John 9:4-8
4 I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.

5 As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.

6 When he had thus spoken, he spat on the ground, and made clay of the spittle, and he anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay,

7 And said unto him, Go, wash in the pool of Siloam, (which is by interpretation, Sent.) He went his way therefore, and washed, and came seeing.

8 The neighbours therefore, and they which before had seen him that he was blind, said, Is not this he that sat and begged?

In Genisis chapter 1 we see there is a distinct difference between darkness and light. After creating the earth God spoke the words “let there be light” and turned the lights on.

Then He had to control the light a greater light for the day and a lesser light for the night.

You see even in our walk with God we go through times we seem “unstoppable” In John 9 even Jesus said I must work while there is still day. ” He was letting us know it is easier to reach people when your doing good in the bright light of the day.

Yet, the dim light of the night is also important. In the dark moments of our lives it’s harder to see how things will work out but we must hold to the source, the words He spoke “let there be light. ” in our dark moments when tears are streaming down our faces we must hold to the source of the light which is The WORD!

If you’ve ever been to the doctor and had your eyes dilated you will understand that too much light while your eyes are dilated hurts. In some of the darkest moments of my life God was opening my eyes to show me things that would transform me to be more like him. He allowed me to go to a dim place that I may be broken and receive a Word in the dark places that hurt me the most.

You see our greatest Work is during the day and His greatest work is in us in the night. When the crowd is gone and we have no choice but to be real with Him. It’s important that we learn to work in the day and be transformed and renewed in the night.

    • The night is not our opportunity to give up but reach up. We must maintain our integrity in the day and night. Yes there are less people watching you in the hard times but what we do when no one is watching is the foundation our the ministry we have when everyone is watching.

  11. … and it was so…

Why can we as a species not accept the way things are? Why must we convolute and manipulate things beyond the simplest forms? I can understand people are different by Divine design. I can understand a need to know things. What baffles me is when we as a species cannot accept our origins. Here is definition of evolution:

Origin of the present complex mosaic of life by (1) changes in species as a result of (2) natural processes so that all (3) complex present-day species could eventually be traced back through a series of predominantly simpler (4) intermediate links to one or several (5) simple primordial types which arose by chance (spontaneously) from nonliving matter.

“arose by chance” I am not a chance occurrence. There is no stretch in my imagination that would allow me to believe ANY life form arose from nonliving matter by chance. I just simply cannot fathom there are people on this planet that can truly believe this is how the planet was created; by chance… !!!UGH!!!

  12. Let there be light

    Genesis 1:3-4 (KJV Strong’s)
3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. 4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.

From the very beginning God established a holy order of things. He said there are two dynamics in life: light, and dark. This is where everything comes from, and is the foundation of life. God said from the very beginning that these two will never mix, and always be separate.

    1 Thessalonians 5:5 (KJV Strong’s)
5 Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.

    John 3:19 (KJV Strong’s)
19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

We cannot be both light and darkness. There are no twilight Christians. There is only good and evil, right and wrong, good, and bad, light and darkness.

Yet we have power over darkness. Just like a candle in the dark the darkness must flee.

    2 Corinthians 4:4-6 (AMP)
4 For the god of this world has blinded the unbelievers’ minds [that they should not discern the truth], preventing them from seeing the illuminating light of the Gospel of the glory of Christ (the Messiah), Who is the Image and Likeness of God.
5 For what we preach is not ourselves but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves [merely] as your servants (slaves) for Jesus’ sake.
6 For God Who said, Let light shine out of darkness, has shone in our hearts so as [to beam forth] the Light for the illumination of the knowledge of the majesty and glory of God [as it is manifest in the Person and is revealed] in the face of Jesus Christ (the Messiah).

  13. 31 And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.

God makes all things good. The reason why we came boldly say,”If God be for us,who can be against us?” Is because he is the creator of all things. Therefore he can destroy our enemies with just a word.

  14. MORE

1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

The beginning is nothing like the end. GOD created. He made something; an opportunity, a possibility, a potential, a probable in the heaven and the earth and in me.

I see in the testimony of creation a testimony of our lives. We were created by GOD. But we were a mess; no form and void, no discipline and empty. We are all born in sin, because of a sinful beginning and a sinful enviornment, we all learn to sin (darkness) before we learn to live (light). Did you ever wonder why there are no clinics on “How to sin”? But there are thousands of churches that are attempteing to teach, “How not to sin”.

Every one of our lives are created in a mess. GOD calls us to him and some times we answer and some times we don’t. However we see a principal here at creation that if we will apply it to our lives we may become complete in Christ JESUS.

Notice, “the Spirit of GOD moved upon the face” every opportunity we have to encounter the moving of the Spirit of GOD face to face, we position ourselves for a life changing opportunity. However too often we are satisfied with the simple opportunity to feel or experience the move of the Spirit of GOD and be content, complacent and satisfied that we felt or saw the moving of the Spirit of GOD.

We need MORE than a move of the Spirit of GOD. We need a WORD from GOD.

Once the Spirit moved then GOD said and there was MORE.

I want MORE! I want the Spirit of GOD to move in my life, but I want MORE! I seek a WORD from GOD.

  15. It’s a long one. A good article on creation theories.

Views of the Genesis Days. If, of course, the days of Genesis are long periods of time, then there is no conflict with modern science on the age of the earth. But even if the days of Genesis are twenty-four hours there are still ways to reconcile long periods of time with Genesis 1–.
Revelatory Day View. Some conservative scholars have suggested that the “days” of Genesis may be days of revelation, not really days of creation (Wiseman). That is, it took God a literal solar week (of 144 hours) to reveal to Adam (or Moses) what he had done in the ages before humans were created. Even the Exodus passages (20:11) which speak of the heavens and earth being “made” (asah) in six days can mean “revealed.”
Just as a prophet can get revelation from God looking forward to a future series of events (cf. Daniel 2, 7, 9; Revelation 6–19), even so God can reveal a past series of events to one of his servants. Indeed, Moses was on the holy mountain for forty days (Exod. 24:18). God could have taken six of these days to reveal the past creation events to him. Or after God created Adam, he could have taken six literal days to reveal to him what he had done before Adam arrived on the scene. Some scholars believe this material could have been memorized and passed on as the first “history of the heavens and the earth” (Gen. 2:4), just as the other “histories” (lit., “genealogies”) were apparently recorded and passed on (for example, Gen. 5:1; 6:9; 10:1).
Alternate Day-Age View. Other evangelical scholars have suggested that the “days” of Genesis are twenty-four-hour periods of time in which God created the things mentioned, but that they are separated by long periods in between. This would account for both the indications of great lengths of time in Genesis 1 and indications that there were twenty-four-hour days involved.
Gap Theories. C. I. Scofield made popular the view that there could be a great gap of time between the first two verses of the Bible into which all of the geological ages fit. In this way the days could be twenty-four hours each and yet the world could be many millions of years old or more.
Others believe that there may be a “gap” or, better, a lapse of time before the six, twenty-four-hour days of Genesis begin. In this case, the first verse of the Bible would not necessarily refer to the original ex nihilo creation of God (see CREATION, VIEWS OF) but more recent acts of God in forming a world he had previously created (see Waltke).
So there are ways to accommodate long periods of time and still accept a basically literal understanding of Genesis 1–2. There is no necessary conflict between Genesis and the belief that the universe is millions or even billions of years old.
How Old Is the Earth? There seems to be no way to prove how old the universe really is, either from science or from the Bible. There are known and possible gaps in the biblical genealogies. And there are unprovable presuppositions in all the scientific arguments for an old earth, that is, an earth of millions or billions of years old.
Gaps in the Biblical Record. Bishop James Ussher (1581–1656), whose chronology was used in the old Scofield Bible, argued that Adam was created 4004 B.C. However, his calculations are based on the assumption that there are no gaps in the genealogical tables of Genesis 5 and 11. But we know this is false (see GENEALOGIES, OPEN OR CLOSED). For the Bible says “Arphaxad . . . became the father of Salah” (Gen. 11:12), but in Jesus’ genealogy in Luke 3:36 “Cainan” is listed between Arphaxad and Salah (Shelah). If there is one gap there may be more. Indeed, we know there are more. For example, Matthew 1:8 says “Joram the father of Uzziah,” but the parallel listing in 1 Chronicles 3:11–14 illustrates missing generations between Joram and Uzziah (Azariah), namely, Ahaziah, Joash, and Amaziah. Just how many gaps there are in biblical genealogies and how long a time gap this represents is not known. But gaps there are and, hence, complete chronologies cannot be made, only accurate genealogies (lines of descent) are given.
Presuppositions in the Scientific Arguments. There are many scientific arguments for an old universe, some of which are persuasive. However, none of these arguments is foolproof, and all of them could be wrong. A few examples will illustrate the point of why we should not be dogmatic.
The speed of light may change. In spite of the fact that Einstein considered it absolute, and modern science has held it to be unchanging, it cannot be proven that the speed of light has never changed. Yet the speed of light (ca. 186,000 miles a second) is assumed for many proofs of an old earth. However, if the speed of light is constant and if God did not also create the light rays when he created the stars, then it would appear that the universe is billions of years old. For it has apparently taken millions of years for that light to get to us. But these are big “ifs” that have not been proven. Indeed, they would appear to be unprovable. So, while the argument from the speed of light to an old universe may seem plausible, it is not a demonstrable proof.
Radioactive dating makes assumptions. It is well known that U235 and U238 give off lead isotopes at a known rate. By measuring the amount of their deposit one can calculate when the decay began. Many early rocks in the earth’s crust have been dated in the billions of years by this method. But again, as plausible as this may be, it is not proven. For one must assume at least two things to come to the conclusion that the world is billions of years old. First, it must be assumed that there were no lead deposits at the beginning. Second, one must assume that the rate of decay has been unchanged throughout its entire history. Neither can be proven. Hence, there is no way to prove by radioactive dating that the world is billions of years old.
There is no conflict. The same is apparently true of all arguments for an old earth.
For example, the oceans have a known amount of salt and minerals in them and these go into the ocean at a fixed rate every year. By simple mathematics it can be determined how many years this has been going on. However, here too it must be assumed that there were no salts and minerals in the ocean at the start and that the rate has not changed. A worldwide flood, such as the Bible describes, would certainly have changed the rate of deposits during that period.
All of this is not to say that the universe is not billions of years old. It may be. However, the arguments in favor of great age all possess presuppositions that cannot be proven. With this in view, the following conclusions are appropriate: There is no demonstrated conflict between Genesis 1–2 and scientific fact. The real conflict is not between God’s revelation in the Bible and scientific fact; it is between some Christian interpretations of the Bible and many scientists’ theories about the age of the world.
Indeed, since the Bible does not say exactly how old the universe is, the age of the earth is not a test for orthodoxy. In fact, many orthodox, evangelical scholars hold the universe is millions or billions of years old, including Augustine, B. B. Warfield, John Walvoord, Francis Schaeffer, Gleason Archer, Hugh Ross, and most leaders of the movement that produced the famous “Chicago Statement” on the inerrancy of the Bible (1978).

  16. 29 And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.

30 And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so.

God loves us so much that you continuously see in the scriptures where he gives us everything he has. From dominion on the earth to the life of Jesus Christ. He loves us enough to give us everything; over and over again. Thank you Jesus

  17. 28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

Before sin entered the picture, God gave man dominion over everything. Now we must conquer sin and take dominion over it in our lives through the spirit.

Romans 8:4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

Galatians 5:16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.

Galatians 5:25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

  18. 26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

God made us at his image and with a trust and loving for us he gave us power over every animal in the sea, over every creature that fly’s in the sky and over every animal and over all the earth no matter their size . But God gave up power over every animal on earth and all the land on earth .

  19. 26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

I have found in doing Bible studies, that the use of “our image” confuses those who belief in the Trinity. In studying, I have read that in our King James Bible, it was written in the language of the English from that century. The English refer to Royalty in the plural form (“our”) and still do today. My good friend from England refers to her sister & brother as “our Louise and our Lloyd”. She also refers to herself as plural: “pass ‘us’ the butter” for example. Knowing the English use the plural form referring to just one person clears up this scripture in Genesis and agrees with the rest of the one God scriptures!

  20. 26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

The term “Let us make man in our image” may lead some to believe that he is speaking to another person, but He is not. He is speaking to and of Himself, like we would speak to ourselves or inner self. He explains his plan to make mans dominion over everything of the earth he has created. The same way he has given us authority today after the fall of man the power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. (Lk 10:19). The God who made the entire earth gave us dominion and even after sinning against His gave us power to overcome sin by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony.

  21. And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.

5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.

Still amazed on this verse… One time we were having a bible study with Bro Morgan and he pointed this out and the whole time I had imagined the sun being the light but God created the sun on the 4th day. I had lea nand d something new that was amazing to me to just try to imagine the separation of light and darkness without the sun. Jesus is so amazing just by his words he created this beautiful world. The tress, plants, grass, animals, water, heaven, plus us. God is so awesome that sometimes I don’t have words to express on how big, great, merciful, glorious He is. Thank you Jesus for teaching me everyday new things about you,

  22. Genesis 1:1-2 NLT
In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was formless and empty, and darkness covered the deep waters. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the surface of the waters.

So thankful for the verse in the beginning God, because my life was without form, with out purpose and full of emptiness and darkness, but then God had mercy and love for me that He has bin shaping my life ever since the beginning.

  23. “And God said”. Too many today are only concerned with what mankind says, and not what the Creator (Jesus) said. All shall give a personal account one day to the Judge (Jesus) as to why one did, or did not hear or obey, what God said. Life is short in comparison to eternity, which therefore one should be all the more concerned with what Jesus (God) said. Dear God, awaken me from my slumber and open my eyes and ears too what, you said; “Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done”. “In GOD we trust”. “One Nation under GOD, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all”. What a mighty GOD we serve! Thank GOD for his word. GOD bless America, Jerusalem, and you all in JESUS name, Amen!

  24. Genesis 1:1In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Now the earth was fromless and emoty, draknes was very terfaeof the deep and the Spirit f God was hovering over the waters. And God said , Let there be light and there was light. Good saw that the light was good and he separatedthe light fro the darkness. God called the light day and the darkness he called night. And there was evening, and there was morning g the first day.

  25. 1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.a 2 The earth was formless and empty, and darkness covered the deep waters. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the surface of the waters.

The first verse of the bible, the most known verse that most people know. They know the verse but some still don t accept it or believe it. If the don’t believe the first verse, more than likely they wont believe in God. The scientific world wants us to believe we were created by chance or from a nonliving matter, that magically started producing life.

As Christians, we have an explanation how life started and how the heavens and the earth were made. Science has to depend on several theories and hope one will be proven some day.

  26. 1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.

God created the heavens and the earth, what he did back then he can do now. He is the same yesterday today and forever. Sometimes I thing we forget to look around See all what God has done. My creator is an awesome is an awesome God and we dont give him enough praise

  27. EGW Lesson 1-

3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.

I know that all of you have seen or heard this before. You probably got the revelation of this when you were a child but I still think that it is one of the best revelations I got in my baby years at the church. When pastor Watts would come to my house in Burleson every Monday night for months and months to teach me EGW, we had a great time. Pastor and Sister Watts took me on the journey through the bible that forever changed my life. My eyes were opened and I saw the light for the very first time. Thank God for Home Bible Study and men and woman of God that would sacrifice their time, that they could have been doing anything else, to come teach a hungry soul the living word of God.

So here is the cool revelation:

Have you ever had someone mad at you because you beat them at something or got a position that they wanted? Has someone ever resented you for what you have been blessed with? Have you ever wondered why they are so mad that you were chosen and not them? Maybe more importantly have you ever wondered why we are even here? What is the purpose for all this? Why didn’t we just start off in heaven and skip all this nonsense? I believe this is the answer….

The first day is when God divided light (good) from darkness (evil).

The fifth day he hung the sun and moon and stars which give us natural light that we see by. This created day and night.

The only light that there was to see by before the fifth day was Jesus Christ’s glory.

The natural light had to be made for us to see by so God provided before we were made.

A side not is that God always has our path and way laid out before us. Thank God that he made all of our provisions before he put us here.

Back to the revelation of the light.

I cant prove it by the bible yet but this is just a thought.

When creation began with the division of good and evil or light and darkness is the day that Lucifer was kicked out of heaven. before that day there was no darkness. Lucifer gave place to the darkness and God cannot be where sin is so there had to be separation, therefore the division of light took place when God sent Lucifer out of heaven like a lightning bolt.

    Jesus said here in Luke:

    Luke 10:18
And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.

This is when it happened! Jesus kicked that fool out and he knew right then that the redemption story had to take place. This is the reason, I believe, for our very existence. To take the place of the praise angel.

    Back to Genesis 1

27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

We were made in the image of God, Lucifer was made to reflect the image of God. The greatest glory that God can get is to see himself in us. If we mirror his image and likeness back to him we have done what we were created to do. That is to give him glory. Reaching the lost multiplies that glory because now we have added another soul not only reflecting his image like Lucifer but being his image. Lucifer was never as good as God made us because he could only imitate God whereas we can have God in us and BE like him. Lucifer is still imitating God. This is why Lucifer is so mad at us from the very beginning because God made us better than him.

Hell is not Satan’s greatest punishment, WE ARE!

This is a revelation that you can shake in the devils face any time. If he hadn’t of messed up then we wouldn’t even be here, but now that we are here, we take his job.

God made us to praise him. God made us to take the empty spot in heaven. We were made to worship him.

  28. Verse 1 MSG “First this: God created the Heavens and Earth—all you see, all you don’t see.” This verse made me think about all the things we don’t see that God is working in our lives for our good. I saw a church sign the other day that said “You may feel like your life is falling apart” ; but, it just might be that God is making the pieces fall into place!

  29. Ever notice that the evening comes before the morning? Ever wonder why?

5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.

8 And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day.

13 And the evening and the morning were the third day.

19 And the evening and the morning were the fourth day.

23 And the evening and the morning were the fifth day.

31 And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.

The bible says that his mercy is new every morning.
    Webster says that mercy means–
: kind or forgiving treatment of someone who could be treated harshly
: kindness or help given to people who are in a very bad or desperate situation
: a good or lucky fact or situation

Maybe the reason the night comes first is to help us get through after the trials of the night.

  30. 17 And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth,

18 And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good.

I am reminded of how we are called light of this world. As so, then God sees it to be good. To devide from the darkness. We should be able to light up a room with our mere presence because all we are doing is reflecting God’s light and his gospel. Through our actions like, patience, compassion, peace, joy, love, life, this is how we serve as a dicvision between darkness and light. Let our lives be a light to some one that they may find and see the way to Jesus. Remember that the light rules over the darkness.

  31. In this scripture, you can see God’s awesome creativity and the beginning of time for all of us. But, you can see here that God loved us so much, we are never truly left in the dark. Even at night, he left us the moon and the stars to give us light at night. God is awesome, and he also thought of us MEN, and gave us women, in which we get to multiply with children………………………………..

    Then he made “US”………………”SEE How he spoke it out”…….”Be fruitful & Multiply”……”THE CHURCH, Multiply & Replenish”…..”Have Dominion”……..

    “Be Fruitful”………………………………………………………………………………..

  32. “Then God said, “I’ve given you every sort of seed-bearing plant on Earth And every kind of fruit-bearing tree, given them to you for food. To all animals and all birds, everything that moves and breathes, I give whatever grows out of the ground for food.” And there it was.”
    ‭‭Genesis‬ ‭1:29-30‬ ‭MSG‬‬

    “Eat your vegetables”-God

this goes to show that God made fruit and vegetables for us to eat. We need to obey! We can’t live off of junk and expect to be healthy. Let’s be a healthier church and listen to Gods word.

    Mmm yum!!! 🍎🌽🍉🍇

  33. It’s still blows my mind when I saw the comparison between day 1 and day 4. There’s was light before there was ever a sun. How amazing is that? The undoubted greatness of my God is so apparent. It reminds me of that song, How great, is our God”. There is so much in this word we can take in and learn from daily, I’m glad to be growing in his word!

  34. Gen,1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness:

God’s purpose in our lives today is to conform us to the image of Christ.

Roman 8:29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did
predestinate to be conformed to the image of His Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

  35. 29 And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.

30 And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so.

In the beginning, God gave us authority over all the living things on earth. And to this day we still do, so God takes us to take care of not only people, but the animals and environment around us as well. It doesn’t mean we can’t hunt animals for food, it means that we take care of it and make sure we don’t destroy what God has given us.

And it’s also to remember that God has given us authority over this earth. We shouldn’t let the devil or his minions push us around and take land from us, (spiritually), because God has given us authority over them in Jesus name!

  36. And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.

  37. In the Beginning 1. IN the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. Ps. 8 : 3 2. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spir’-it of God moved upon the face of the waters. Ps. 33 : 6 3. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. Ps. 33 : 9 4. And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. 5. And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day. Ps. 74 : 16
