Genesis 6

1 And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them,

2 That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.

3 And the Lord said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.

4 There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.

5 And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

6 And it repented the Lord that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.

7 And the Lord said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them.

8 But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord.

9 These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God.

10 And Noah begat three sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth.

11 The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence.

12 And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth.

13 And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth.

14 Make thee an ark of gopher wood; rooms shalt thou make in the ark, and shalt pitch it within and without with pitch.

15 And this is the fashion which thou shalt make it of: The length of the ark shall be three hundred cubits, the breadth of it fifty cubits, and the height of it thirty cubits.

16 A window shalt thou make to the ark, and in a cubit shalt thou finish it above; and the door of the ark shalt thou set in the side thereof; with lower, second, and third stories shalt thou make it.

17 And, behold, I, even I, do bring a flood of waters upon the earth, to destroy all flesh, wherein is the breath of life, from under heaven; and every thing that is in the earth shall die.

18 But with thee will I establish my covenant; and thou shalt come into the ark, thou, and thy sons, and thy wife, and thy sons’ wives with thee.

19 And of every living thing of all flesh, two of every sort shalt thou bring into the ark, to keep them alive with thee; they shall be male and female.

20 Of fowls after their kind, and of cattle after their kind, of every creeping thing of the earth after his kind, two of every sort shall come unto thee, to keep them alive.

21 And take thou unto thee of all food that is eaten, and thou shalt gather it to thee; and it shall be for food for thee, and for them.

22 Thus did Noah; according to all that God commanded him, so did he.

  1. Gen. 7:9 There went in two and two unto Noah into the ark, the male and the female, as God had commanded Noah.

Went in two and two unto Noah: God supernaturally brought them to Noah.

8 But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord.
9 These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God.

This is a great example of walking with God brings the grace and mercy of God upon us. It not only saved Noah, but his entire family. This in turn saved the human race.

  3. Verse 8 MSG ” But Noah was different. God liked what he saw in Noah.” Same verse AMP “But Noah found favor and grace in the eyes of the Lord.” Wow….what a question….”Does God like what he sees in you?”. Are we living right and obeying God as it states in verse 9 CEV? Verse 9 in the NLT says “…Noah was a righteous man, the only blameless person living on earth at the time, and he walked in close fellowship with God.” We must walk in close fellowship with God in order to separate ourselves from this world that we live in. Be different, live right and seek that close relationship with your Creator. Noah (one man) made a difference and so can we (POFW)!

  4. THE PERFECT PICTURE AND EXAMPLE OF SUBMISSION AND OBEDIENCE

13 And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth.

We often complicate the instructions and commands of the LORD for and in our lives. We are given instructions by GOD; through HIS Eternal WORD, HIS Holy SPIRIT or HIS Anointed man. However our human nature is to question what GOD has said. Is it really GOD? Is it really necessary? Would GOD really do that?

With all of these questions flooding our minds, it is very challenging to make a confident decision. However, our willingness and obedience indicate and identify our FAITH in GOD.

Here is THE PERFECT PICTURE AND EXAMPLE OF SUBMISSION AND OBEDIENCE

22 Thus did Noah; according to all that God commanded him, so did he.

Just DO IT for the LORD.

    iRepent
    iPraise
    iPray
    iWork
    iGive

  5. 8. But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord.

    9. These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God.

    17. And, behold, I, even I, do bring a flood of waters upon the earth, to destroy all flesh, wherein is the breath of life, from under heaven; and every thing that is in the earth shall die.

    18. But with thee will I establish my covenant; and thou shalt come into the ark, thou, and thy sons, and thy wife, and thy sons’ wives with thee.

Walking with God and finding grace with Him not only helps you, but also benefits your family as well. If you are struggling, be reminded that you never know what your walk with God is protecting your family from, and be encouraged that it will be worth it all!

  6. 9 This is the account of Noah and his family. Noah was a righteous man, the only blameless person living on earth at the time, and he walked in close fellowship with God. (NLT)

Yet another great example of righteous living. In the previos chapter, Enoch had such a close relationship with God that He just decided to take him, and now here Noah has found favor for not only himself but his family and they are spared from destruction. These are the examples I wish to follow!

  7. 5 And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

We are in days that are like the days of Noah, relentless men that kills innocent people, that care not about anything or one. Hate is on the rise and the violence in this world is worsening every day.
These are all signs of the last days. This is a time were the people of God need to the Noah’s if this generation, trying to save anyone how will listen to the Gospel that will save them from the coming destruction.
iPray that we will get a sense of urgency in ourselves to get the spirit of Noah and be the voice amidst this crazy world and never get weary doing Gods work.

  8. 19 And of every living thing of all flesh, two of every sort shalt thou bring into the ark, to keep them alive with thee; they shall be male and female.

See I know this passage is about the lord taking out all flesh and all beast cause of the wickedness ,but Noah was just a man and perfect in his generation but just look at this it said a male and a female not Lucy and sue or John and Tom no it said a male and a female .

  9. Understand the faith it takes to trust God like noah did. I would had thought i was crazy if God had told me he was going to destroy the earth. Im sure noah doubted at first. But his relationship with God was so strong that he kept on. We have to be close enough so God can speak and we can simply obey. Count the cost.

  10. Men grief Him still!!!!

And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

As I watch the news and see a new born baby killed by n Florida. Tweets threatening to kill students. A husband & wife abuse an elderly mother. I’m only makes me wonder what He griefs for men still? Do we make Him regret the day H created us? Does He still find grace for us??? My God, my Lord and Savior what have humanity become??? Today is the day of Salvation, now is the time!!! Stand, share the Good News SALVATION IS HERE!!! Tell them all act 2:38 !!!!!! There is no time to lose you might be the only opportunity they may have to hear the message of salvation. Do not let it pass you by, TELL THEM REPENT, BE BAPTIST IN JESUS NAME AND YOU SHALL RECEIVE THE GIFT OF THE HOLY GHOST WITH TH EVIDENCE OF SPEAKING IN OTHER TONGUES AS THE SPIRIT GIVES YOU UTTERANCE!!!!!! Gives us courage and boldness to speak your word oh Lord In Jesus Name AMEN

  11. 5-7 God saw that human evil was out of control. People thought evil, imagined evil—evil, evil, evil from morning to night. God was sorry that he had made the human race in the first place; it broke his heart. God said, “I’ll get rid of my ruined creation, make a clean sweep: people, animals, snakes and bugs, birds—the works. I’m sorry I made them.”
8 But Noah was different. God liked what he saw in Noah.
9-10 This is the story of Noah: Noah was a good man, a man of integrity in his community. Noah walked with God. Noah had three sons: Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
Are you a Noah? Everyday you wake are you with evil like the people where that disappoint God or are you like Noah that God liked?! You never know when God is going to come so live your life like Noah did. Listen and obey God because it’s the only way to eternity. 🙂

  12. 5 And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

6 And it repented the Lord that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.

Our wickedness grieves God which is why we must live lives of repentance before the Lord daily. Thank you God for the opportunity to repent

  13. Gen. 6:8-9 (AMP)
    8) But Noah found favor and grace in the eyes of the Lord.
    9) These are the records of the generations (family history) of Noah. Noah was a righteous man (one who was just and had right standing with God), blameless in his (evil) generation; Noah (walked (lived) in habitual fellowship) with God.

    Phil. 2:15 (AMP)
So that you may prove yourselves to be blameless and guileless, innocent and uncontaminated, children of God without blemish in the midst of a ( morally) crooked and (spiritually) perverted generation, among whom you are seen as bright lights (beacons shining out clearly) in the world ( of darkness).

Just as Noah lived a blameless life in his evil generation, for he was righteous, found favor and grace in the eyes of God, and walked in fellowship with God, we too must live a blameless life in our evil generation, by living righteous, finding favor and grace with God , and by walking in fellowship with Him.

Be a light for Jesus in this world of darkness!

  14. 22 Thus did Noah; according to all that God commanded him, so did he.

Noah had a big job ahead of him: preaching righteousness, building the ark and also gathering in all the food for both man and beast. Yet we don’t see in scripture that he questioned God – neither did he complain that the job was too big for just him. This is why Noah was the man chosen for this job! He obeyed the smallest details in building this boat and as a result, it floated on the waters for about a year, saving him and his family. 1 Samuel 5:22 …Obedience is better than sacrifice.

  15. 2 That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.

Our first example of unequally yoked marriages can be found in this chapter. Sons of God were from Seth’s side of the family and daughters of men were from the ex-communicated, vagabond Cain’s side of the family. It’s like mixing oil and water, it doesn’t, neither did these relationships mix. It caused the Lord to threaten to withdraw His spirit because it was and always will be His desire for righteous people to be yoked with righteous people so that the legacy of walking after God can continue.

  16. Noah must have suffered merciless ridicule from friends and neighbors during the 120.years he labored constructing on the great ship. His trust in God did not waver. When our faith is tested by years of working and waiting .that the.quality of our faith is displayed.

  17. Genesis 6:8 (KJV Strong’s)
8 But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord.

Grace – (Olive Tree Enhanced Strong’s Dictionary) h2580. חֵן ḥên; from 2603; graciousness, i.e. subjective (kindness, favor) or objective (beauty): — favour, grace(-ious), pleasant, precious, (well-)favoured.
    AV (69) – grace 38, favour 26, gracious 2, pleasant 1, precious 1, wellfavoured + h2896 1;
favour, grace, charmfavour, grace, elegancefavour, acceptance

    Psalms 30:5 (KJV Strong’s)
5 For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life:
weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.

    Proverbs 8:35 (KJV Strong’s)
35 For whoso findeth me findeth life,
and shall obtain favour of the Lord.

Noah found favor because he sought the one true God in the midst of a wicked and perverse generation. His consistency and worship paid off and got the attention of God.

When all others had chosen a path of iniquity, and did what was right in their own eyes there was something in Noah that couldn’t be satisfied with the status quo.

Noah ground grace because Noah found God.

  18. 18 But with thee will I establish my covenant; and thou shalt come into the ark, thou, and thy sons, and thy wife, and thy sons’ wives with thee.

God is very especific when he gives directions. It will be a tragedy to only obey half way on anything he tells us. We know what happened to King Saul after he was instructed to do one something for God. He was wiped out and his generations from the kingdom. Now imagine what could’ve happened if Noah had not done everything has God instructed?

  19. Flesh gets us no were but to sinand hell, but God gets us somewhere and that is internal life of freedom, love, andand hevean all the above.flesh is your own desires and wants, but we shouldn’t go by our will but God’s will

  20. The story of Noah is not just another Bible story we learned but is still seeking out those that are walking with Him to build. What are we to build? A place of refuge. A place for broken lives to hear out testimony and receive hope.

  21. 6:14-16 Make the an ark of gopher wood; rooms shalt thou make in the ark, and shalt pitch it within and without with pitch.
And this is the fashion which thou shalt make it of: The lenght of the ark shall be three hundred cubits, and the breadth of it fifty cubits, and the height of it thirty cubits.
A window shalt thou make to the ark, and in a cubit shalt thou finish it above; and the door of the ark shalt thou set in the side thereof; with lower, second and third stories shalt thou make it.

So thankful that GOD had a divine plan for our salvation then and now.
GOD IS IN CONTROL !!! W e must obey and folllow as HE REVEALS HIS PLAN OF SALVATION.

  22. 13 And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth.

God spoke to Noah. Noah found grace in Gods eyes. He told Noah what he was going to do, this mirrors God speaking to Abraham and telling him of Sodom and gamorrah s destruction. God gave those who trusted in him and lived to please him a warning and way of escape. When God gives us direction for an escape it’s our responsiblity to follow His directions to escape.

  23. “But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord.” Because of Noah there was hope for mankind. This is all the more why one must ask; what can be said of one’s own self (myself). Dear God, open my eyes so that I may see that I need your forgiveness, mercy, and grace so that I may be a helper and not a hinderer; “Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done”. “In GOD we trust”. “One Nation under GOD, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all”. What a mighty GOD we serve! Thank GOD for his word. GOD bless America, Jerusalem, and you all in JESUS name, Amen!

  24. “The Lord saw how bad the sins of man had become on the earth. All of the thoughts in his heart were always directed only toward what was evil. The Lord was very sad that he had made man on the earth. His heart was filled with pain. So the Lord said, “I created man on the earth. But I will wipe them out. I will destroy people and animals alike. I will also destroy the creatures that move along the ground and the birds of the air. I am very sad that I have made man.””
    ‭‭Genesis‬ ‭6:5-7‬ ‭NIRV‬‬

The endtime is now…. Things seem to be worse now in this present age. The earth will be destroyed again but with fire. We must invest our time wisely. Be about the Fathers business.

  25. Grace

8 But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord.

9 These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God.

10 And Noah begat three sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth.

Noah found grace, and through his family the Lord planned to repopulate the earth after the flood. However, while Noah found grace, it would be up to his sons to work out their own relationship with God. We see examples in the Word of God, from kings, prophets, and priests, where the father walked in righteousness but his children did not follow after him and fell to wickedness. After the flood, we can see that life did not spring up as the garden of Eden but was once again darkened by the corruptness of man. We must each decide for ourselves how we will walk before the Lord and what relationship we will have with Him.

    1 Samuel 2:27-31 NLT
27 One day a man of God came to Eli and gave him this message from the Lord: “I revealed myself to your ancestors when they were Pharaoh’s slaves in Egypt.

28 I chose your ancestor Aaron from among all the tribes of Israel to be my priest, to offer sacrifices on my altar, to burn incense, and to wear the priestly vest as he served me. And I assigned the sacrificial offerings to you priests.

29 So why do you scorn my sacrifices and offerings? Why do you give your sons more honor than you give me—for you and they have become fat from the best offerings of my people Israel!

30 “Therefore, the Lord, the God of Israel, says: I promised that your branch of the tribe of Levi would always be my priests. But I will honor those who honor me, and I will despise those who think lightly of me.

31 The time is coming when I will put an end to your family, so it will no longer serve as my priests. All the members of your family will die before their time. None will reach old age.

  26. Thus did Noah, according to all that God commanded, did he.
We are so grateful for God to work through such a faithful servant. He could have said, I’m too old, that’s too much work, or something like that. He didn’t. He rolled up his sleeves and got to work, and saved all of mankind in the process. You never know the full impact of your faithfulness. You don’t know how many lives God may save through you.

  27. 8 But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord.

9 These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God.

In God’s eyes, Noah was perfect not because he never sinned or was always good, but the bible says it was because he walked with God. He trusted in God and had faith in him. When God told him to do something such as build an ark, he did it. Even when it seemed like it was impossible for the earth to be flooded and like a waste of time to build such a big boat, Noah listened to God anyway.

We can be perfect in God’s sight, if we follow his commands and walk with God, he will reward us for it.

  28. God’s about to wipe the slate clean sort of speak, but he had only one man of God left, to intercede for mankind. Noah, was a man who walked with God, talked with God, and obeyed him. Thank God, for all the Godly men that made a difference for all mankind. Just like Moses, when he stood in the gap for mankind to save them or preserve life. We have another Great and Awesome King who intercedes to the Father for us too. “JESUS”……………………………………………..

“Walk with God”………….”Thine word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path”……………………………..

  29. Wives 1. And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them. Gen. 1 : 28 2. That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.
