Exodus 11

1 And the Lord said unto Moses, Yet will I bring one plague more upon Pharaoh, and upon Egypt; afterwards he will let you go hence: when he shall let you go, he shall surely thrust you out hence altogether.

2 Speak now in the ears of the people, and let every man borrow of his neighbour, and every woman of her neighbour, jewels of silver and jewels of gold.

3 And the Lord gave the people favour in the sight of the Egyptians. Moreover the man Moses was very great in the land of Egypt, in the sight of Pharaoh’s servants, and in the sight of the people.

4 And Moses said, Thus saith the Lord, About midnight will I go out into the midst of Egypt:

5 And all the firstborn in the land of Egypt shall die, from the first born of Pharaoh that sitteth upon his throne, even unto the firstborn of the maidservant that is behind the mill; and all the firstborn of beasts.

6 And there shall be a great cry throughout all the land of Egypt, such as there was none like it, nor shall be like it any more.

7 But against any of the children of Israel shall not a dog move his tongue, against man or beast: that ye may know how that the Lord doth put a difference between the Egyptians and Israel.

8 And all these thy servants shall come down unto me, and bow down themselves unto me, saying, Get thee out, and all the people that follow thee: and after that I will go out. And he went out from Pharaoh in a great anger.

9 And the Lord said unto Moses, Pharaoh shall not hearken unto you; that my wonders may be multiplied in the land of Egypt.

10 And Moses and Aaron did all these wonders before Pharaoh: and the Lord hardened Pharaoh’s heart, so that he would not let the children of Israel go out of his land.

  1. 3 And the Lord gave the people favour in the sight of the Egyptians. Moreover the man Moses was very great in the land of Egypt, in the sight of Pharaoh’s servants, and in the sight of the people.

If it had not been for Gods favor, even the favor of this world. Pastor has spoken that the church building would be paid before we move in. We are only 4 months till that day, we need to unite with Pastor and wait in the Lords favour to taken from this world the resources that will make this promise from God that we have spoken come to pass.

  2. v2 Speak now in the ears of the people, and let every man borrow of his neighbor, and every woman of her neighbor, jewels of silver, and jewels of gold.

GOD SAID, ” Ask for them,” and they did.
    It’s called obedience.
There is power in obedience .Moses trusted the LORD and obeyed GODS WORD and the LORD gave HIS people favour and MOSES was greatly esteemed.

Proverbs 16:7 ” When a man’s ways please the LORD, He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him.

  3. Verse 7 NIV “But among the Israelites not a dog will bark at any person or animal.’ Then you will know that the Lord makes a distinction between Egypt and Israel.” Same verse MSG “But against the Israelites—man, woman, or animal—there won’t be so much as a dog’s bark, so that you’ll know that God makes a clear distinction between Egypt and Israel.’ Just like in these verses, God makes a clear distinction (excellence that sets someone or something apart from others) between Egypt and Israel; there is a distinction between this world and God’s people. There is also a clear distinction between being obedient and not being obedient. The choice is ours….do not allow the enemy to harden your heart and take away your first love!

  4. 7 But against any of the children of Israel shall not a dog move his tongue, against man or beast: that ye may know how that the Lord doth put a difference between the Egyptians and Israel.

14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?
16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.
18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty. 2 Corinthians 6:14-18

  5. 8. All the officials of Egypt will run to me and fall to the ground before me. ‘Please leave!’ they will beg. ‘Hurry! And take all your followers with you.’ Only then will I go!” Then, burning with anger, Moses left Pharaoh. NLT

    Timing is everything.
Even if we know exactly what God’s plan is for our life, it still must be done His way, in His time. If they had left before borrowing the Egyptians’ possessions they would be poor, and if they left before the deaths of the first-born, the Egyptians wouldn’t be distracted and they would lose their head start. God is omniscient; trust His timing.

  6. 7 But against any of the children of Israel shall not a dog move his tongue, against man or beast: that ye may know how that the Lord doth put a difference between the Egyptians and Israel.

And GOD don’t love ISRAEL?!? People will not understand this until they come to the TRUTH!!! Who’s got the TRUTH? POFW DOES!!!
THANK YOU JESUS!!! I LOVE YOU DADDY!!! HALELUJAH!!!

  7. “The Lord caused the Egyptians to treat the Israelites in a kind way. Pharaoh’s officials and the people had great respect for Moses.”

  8. THE WILL OF GOD IS A PROCESS

1 And the Lord said unto Moses, Yet will I bring one plague more upon Pharaoh, and upon Egypt; afterwards he will let you go hence: when he shall let you go, he shall surely thrust you out hence altogether.

JESUS is so merciful to us that he allows us opportunity to submit to him at different levels. In most cases Pharaoh had seen enough to convince him that there was a GOD in Heaven. However, pride, arrogance and stubbornness hardened his heart even deeper.

JESUS could have laid the Egyptians flat and permitted the children of Israel to walk out of there with no opposition. However, look at all of the lessons we would have missed and the processes that would be misunderstood.

GOD always has another move. Pharaoh could have easily avoided this trouble, the frog and locusts should have been enough. But great stubbornness brings great pain. Today is the day to stop resisting the process of the LORD and for us to submit to HIS will.

The children of Israel desired to be delivered, however they had to be patient in the PROCESS of the WILL of GOD.

Do not grow weary in well doing.

  9. Full circle.

Exodus 1:22 And Pharaoh charged all his people, saying, Every son that is born ye shall cast into the river, and every daughter ye shall save alive.

Exodus 11:5 And all the firstborn in the land of Egypt shall die, from the first born of Pharaoh that sitteth upon his throne, even unto the firstborn of the maidservant that is behind the mill; and all the firstborn of beasts.

Ever heard the phrase what is good for the goose is good for the gander? Not as simple or light hearted but the same principle applies. Pharaoh started this whole mess. His fear and jealousy of the Israelites set in motion a series of events that has led to this. God will make His power known. I fear what lessons these United States of America are going to learn for the decisions she has made in the past few decades?

    Buckle your seat belts!!
7 But against any of the children of Israel shall not a dog move his tongue, against man or beast: that ye may know how that the Lord doth put a difference between the Egyptians and Israel.

  10. Pharaoh pledges to release the Jew’s goes back on his word and despite the urging of his terrified advisor want to fight this God of the Hebrew slaves to the very end. That.end is.more terrible than Pharaoh can imagine and stands forever as a Waring for those who intend harm to God’s own.

  11. 7 But among the Israelites it will be so peaceful that not even a dog will bark. Then you will know that the Lord makes a distinction between the Egyptians and the Israelites. (NLT)

When we are obedient we separate ourselves from “Egypt” and allow the peace of God to be about us.

  12. iLove to eat More Word
3And the Lord gave the people favour in the sight of the Egyptians. Moreover the man Moses was very great in the land of Egypt, in the sight of Pharaoh’s servants, and in the sight of the people.

The Lord is giving The Pentecostals of Fort Worth favor in these last days. Silver and gold is going to be given to us by the pagans and it will be given because of the favor of God in our lives.

  13. GOD OUR PROTECTOR

And Moses said, Thus saith the Lord, About midnight will I go out into the midst of Egypt:
5 And all the firstborn in the land of Egypt shall die, from the first born of Pharaoh that sitteth upon his throne, even unto the firstborn of the maidservant that is behind the mill; and all the firstborn of beasts.
6 And there shall be a great cry throughout all the land of Egypt, such as there was none like it, nor shall be like it any more.
7 But against any of the children of Israel shall not a dog move his tongue, against man or beast: that ye may know how that the Lord doth put a difference between the Egyptians and Israel.

God makes a big difference between those that belong to Him and those that don’t. He wants to make sure that they know that He will ALWAYS protect His children but Egypt and any enemy will pay greatly. God does everything perfectly and in order.

  14. 7 But against any of the children of Israel shall not a dog move his tongue, against man or beast: that ye may know how that the Lord doth put a difference between the Egyptians and Israel.

God put a difference between the Egyptians and the Israelites. It was recognizable to the eyes so when the death angel came, the angel would know to pass over the home.

God has put a difference in HIS people and this world. A difference that should be noticeable to the eye. We are not like the world, and should not desire to look like the world in any form or fashion.

Be the one that is different. Cause people to wonder why you joy in your separation from this world. Don’t desire the fences God has placed around your live for your protection and to keep the world out.

  15. 7 But against any of the children of Israel shall not a dog move his tongue, against man or beast: that ye may know how that the Lord doth put a difference between the Egyptians and Israel.
    2 cor. 6:17
“Therefore, ‘Come out from them and be separate, says the Lord. Touch no unclean thing, and I will receive you.'”

  16. To the breaking point.

As we have been reading about the wonder pis works that God had performed. I am curious as to why God had to harden Pharaoh’s Herat after each plague? This goes to show me that pharaoh did want to let them go after each time something happened. But God is God and his ways are above ours. He knows when our breaking point is but do we really know? This is why I believe that when we go through things that God doesn’t always answer our call to get out of those situations. For us to learn and to see how far we can go. The test before the testimony.

  17. 8 And all these thy servants shall come down unto me, and bow down themselves unto me, saying, Get thee out, and all the people that follow thee: and after that I will go out. And he went out from Pharaoh in a great anger.

  18. 4So Moses said, “This is what the Lord says: ‘About midnight I will go throughout Egypt. 5Every firstborn son in Egypt will die, from the firstborn son of Pharaoh, who sits on the throne, to the firstborn son of the female slave, who is at her hand mill, and all the firstborn of the cattle as well.

Their is something about the midnight hour and the number 12 all together. Revelation alone has 22 occurrences of the number. The meaning of 12, which is considered a perfect number, is that it symbolizes God’s power and authority, as well as serving as a perfect governmental foundation. It can also symbolize completeness or the nation of Israel as a whole.

God’s final plague upon Egypt will be one to stamp history like none other before or to come (vs6). God is taking the first born of any one or thing that bares the nationality of Egypt down to the cattle. He is coming back for his church on His timing as well. He, like the son’s of Egypt was taken or crucified Himself for our sin and his blood is the blood appiled to the Israelites door posts for the passover. God is declaring a distiction between Egypt and Israel, those lives that have His name and blood applied to and those that do not.

  19. Exodus 11:5-7
    5) And all the firstborn in the land of Egypt shall die, from the firstborn of Pharaoh that sitteth upon his throne, even unto the firstborn of the maidservant that is behind the mill; and all the firstborn of beasts.
    6) And there shall be a great cry throughout all the land of Egypt, such as there was none like it, nor shall be like it any more.
    7) But against any of the children of Israel shall not a dog move his tongue, against man or beast; that ye may know how the Lord doth put a difference between the Egyptians and Israel.

God does put a difference between Egypt (the world) and Israel (God’s people), and one of those differences is His divine protection.
Ps. 90:9-11 says, “Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation; There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.”

Thank You JESUS for your Divine Protection!

  20. 1 And the Lord said unto Moses, Yet will I bring one plague more upon Pharaoh, and upon Egypt; afterwards he will let you go hence: when he shall let you go, he shall surely thrust you out hence altogether.

I love how God used the Egyptians to help them get ready to go by letting them borrow the jewels of silver and gold. He already had determined in his heart that he was gonna kill the firstborns and I believe he did it because he wanted to teach pharaoh a lesson that you don’t mess with Me or my children.
I LOVE GOD HE IS SO AMAZING!

  21. 9 And the Lord said unto Moses, Pharaoh shall not hearken unto you; that my wonders may be multiplied in the land of Egypt.

10 And Moses and Aaron did all these wonders before Pharaoh: and the Lord hardened Pharaoh’s heart, so that he would not let the children of Israel go out of his land.

    Proverbs 21:1
The king’s heart is in the hand of the LORD, as the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will.

I am certian that my God can do anything and is always in control of this world and it’s happenings.

  22. Exodus 11:3 (KJV Strong’s)

3 And the Lord gave the people favour in the sight of the Egyptians. Moreover the man Moses was very great in the land of Egypt, in the sight of Pharaoh’s servants, and in the sight of the people.

God used tragedy and chaos to establish Moses as a leader. Sometimes we do not understand why we go through things, like accidentally stabbing ourselves with an object, and having to go to the ER. But God is in control. He knows what he is doing, and he is the greatest director to ever live. He tells the story, and we follow his lead.

And we know that all things work together for the good of those who are the called of God according to his purpose!

  23. “GOD said to Moses, “Pharaoh’s not going to listen to a thing you say so that the signs of my presence and work are going to multiply in the land of Egypt.””
    ‭‭Exodus‬ ‭11:9‬ ‭MSG‬‬
    http://bible.com/97/exo.11.9.msg

Just because the message might be coming from someone you don’t like doesn’t mean you should disregard what they have to say. You can learn a lot by listening to others. Listen and learn.

  24. 3 And the Lord gave the people favour in the sight of the Egyptians. Moreover the man Moses was very great in the land of Egypt, in the sight of Pharaoh’s servants, and in the sight of the people.
God shown his power thru all the plagues and everything that happen in pharoahs time. He gave moses favor thru it all God gets all of the glory. We need to hold on to Gods hand and word, it always stand when all else fails.

  25. “But against any of the children of Israel shall not a dog move his tongue, against man or beast: that ye may know how that the Lord doth put a difference between the Egyptians and Israel.” The real and only true God (Jesus) declared what he would do for his people. One would be wise to seek the favor of Jesus (God), while one can. Dear God, soften my heart; “Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done”. “In GOD we trust”. “One Nation under GOD, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all”. What a mighty GOD we serve! Thank GOD for his word. GOD bless America, Jerusalem, and you all in JESUS name, Amen!

  26. But against any of the children of Israel shall not a dog move his tongue, against man or beast: that ye may know how that the Lord doth put a difference between the Egyptians and Israel.

It matters to God. We are to come out from among them and to be holy and sanctified. The things that we do God cares about. Make sure to keep a good look at your walk with God and pray an ask the Lord to search our hearts and see if there are any ways that are not pleasing to Him.

  27. 7 But against any of the children of Israel shall not a dog move his tongue, against man or beast: that ye may know how that the Lord doth put a difference between the Egyptians and Israel.
Wow look at the level of protection that God gave his children that not even a dog bark at them! That’s the type of protection and blessing that God still has available for us today in the spirit realm I believe that God puts up a hedge or a wall of protection around his people and keeps us from many things seen and unseen that we may not even know about just like he did with the children of Israel.

  28. 3 And the Lord gave the people favour in the sight of the Egyptians. Moreover the man Moses was very great in the land of Egypt, in the sight of Pharaoh’s servants, and in the sight of the people.

  29. 9The Lord had said to Moses, “Pharaoh will refuse to listen to you—so that my wonders may be multiplied in Egypt.

It’s hard to imagine God’s glory involving death and hardened hearts but it does here. We see the last plague being revealed to Pharaoh and he doesn’t budge even when the life of his own first born son is on the line. He has seen his entire nation fall into ruin by each plague God has sent. The hardening of his heart and plague of the first born son is to be to the glory of God because out of all this judgment his people will finally be free of Egypt. Freedom isn’t always free and the blood Jesus shed as the only Son of God (God Himself robed in flesh) died on a cross that we may be free from sin. Death and sin had to be defeated and Jesus rose and brought us the gift of His Holy Spirit that we may have new life and new heart of flesh.
