Exodus 25

1 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,

2 Speak unto the children of Israel, that they bring me an offering: of every man that giveth it willingly with his heart ye shall take my offering.

3 And this is the offering which ye shall take of them; gold, and silver, and brass,

4 And blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine linen, and goats’ hair,

5 And rams’ skins dyed red, and badgers’ skins, and shittim wood,

6 Oil for the light, spices for anointing oil, and for sweet incense,

7 Onyx stones, and stones to be set in the ephod, and in the breastplate.

8 And let them make me a sanctuary; that I may dwell among them.

9 According to all that I shew thee, after the pattern of the tabernacle, and the pattern of all the instruments thereof, even so shall ye make it.

10 And they shall make an ark of shittim wood: two cubits and a half shall be the length thereof, and a cubit and a half the breadth thereof, and a cubit and a half the height thereof.

11 And thou shalt overlay it with pure gold, within and without shalt thou overlay it, and shalt make upon it a crown of gold round about.

12 And thou shalt cast four rings of gold for it, and put them in the four corners thereof; and two rings shall be in the one side of it, and two rings in the other side of it.

13 And thou shalt make staves of shittim wood, and overlay them with gold.

14 And thou shalt put the staves into the rings by the sides of the ark, that the ark may be borne with them.

15 The staves shall be in the rings of the ark: they shall not be taken from it.

16 And thou shalt put into the ark the testimony which I shall give thee.

17 And thou shalt make a mercy seat of pure gold: two cubits and a half shall be the length thereof, and a cubit and a half the breadth thereof.

18 And thou shalt make two cherubims of gold, of beaten work shalt thou make them, in the two ends of the mercy seat.

19 And make one cherub on the one end, and the other cherub on the other end: even of the mercy seat shall ye make the cherubims on the two ends thereof.

20 And the cherubims shall stretch forth their wings on high, covering the mercy seat with their wings, and their faces shall look one to another; toward the mercy seat shall the faces of the cherubims be.

21 And thou shalt put the mercy seat above upon the ark; and in the ark thou shalt put the testimony that I shall give thee.

22 And there I will meet with thee, and I will commune with thee from above the mercy seat, from between the two cherubims which are upon the ark of the testimony, of all things which I will give thee in commandment unto the children of Israel.

23 Thou shalt also make a table of shittim wood: two cubits shall be the length thereof, and a cubit the breadth thereof, and a cubit and a half the height thereof.

24 And thou shalt overlay it with pure gold, and make thereto a crown of gold round about.

25 And thou shalt make unto it a border of an hand breadth round about, and thou shalt make a golden crown to the border thereof round about.

26 And thou shalt make for it four rings of gold, and put the rings in the four corners that are on the four feet thereof.

27 Over against the border shall the rings be for places of the staves to bear the table.

28 And thou shalt make the staves of shittim wood, and overlay them with gold, that the table may be borne with them.

29 And thou shalt make the dishes thereof, and spoons thereof, and covers thereof, and bowls thereof, to cover withal: of pure gold shalt thou make them.

30 And thou shalt set upon the table shewbread before me alway.

31 And thou shalt make a candlestick of pure gold: of beaten work shall the candlestick be made: his shaft, and his branches, his bowls, his knops, and his flowers, shall be of the same.

32 And six branches shall come out of the sides of it; three branches of the candlestick out of the one side, and three branches of the candlestick out of the other side:

33 Three bowls made like unto almonds, with a knop and a flower in one branch; and three bowls made like almonds in the other branch, with a knop and a flower: so in the six branches that come out of the candlestick.

34 And in the candlesticks shall be four bowls made like unto almonds, with their knops and their flowers.

35 And there shall be a knop under two branches of the same, and a knop under two branches of the same, and a knop under two branches of the same, according to the six branches that proceed out of the candlestick.

36 Their knops and their branches shall be of the same: all it shall be one beaten work of pure gold.

37 And thou shalt make the seven lamps thereof: and they shall light the lamps thereof, that they may give light over against it.

38 And the tongs thereof, and the snuffdishes thereof, shall be of pure gold.

39 Of a talent of pure gold shall he make it, with all these vessels.

40 And look that thou make them after their pattern, which was shewed thee in the mount.

  1. Exodus 25:8 And let them make me a sanctuary; that I may dwell among them.
Exodus 29:45-46 And I will dwell among the children of Israel, and will be their God. And they shall know that I am the Lord their God, that brought them forth out of the land of Egypt, that I may dwell among them: I am the Lord their God.
2 Corinthians 6:16 what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? For ye are the temple of the living God; And as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
Revelations21:3 and I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he shall dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.

The presence of the Lord is here! He dwells with us everyday! We are never alone, we are not forsaken! We are a chosen people!! Praise God!!

  2. Verses 1-2 AMP “Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, “Tell the children of Israel to take an offering for Me. From every man whose heart moves him [to give willingly] you shall take My offering.” Same verses NLT “The Lord said to Moses, “Tell the people of Israel to bring me their sacred offerings. Accept the contributions from all whose hearts are moved to offer them.” Lord I pray that you move upon every heart to be willing. Thank you Jesus….for loving me so!

  3. Exodus 25:1-2
    1) AND the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
    2) Speak unto the children of Israel, that they bring me an offering: of every man that giveth it willingly with his heart ye shall take my offering.

2 Cor. 9:7 says, ” Everyman man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.”

When we bring our offering unto the Lord, we need to do it with a willing and cheerful heart.
    Be Ready and Be Happy!

  4. THE BEAUTY OF CHRISTMAS

2 Speak unto the children of Israel, that they bring me an offering: of every man that giveth it willingly with his heart ye shall take my offering.

The carnal, commercialized concept of Christmas has altered the true meaning and purpose of Christmas. Christmas in the eyes of the LORD has always been about GIVING not getting.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

The FIRST CHRISTMAS was about GIVING LIFE.

We learn in verse 2 the correct spirit and attitude for giving gifts. WILLINGLY

    Grudging GIFTS Garner no Gain.

Give gifts WILLINGLY this year to experience the true and full value of GIVING.

    Don’t forget JESUS!

The gifts the wise men brought were for the LORD. Soon at The POFW we will have an opportunity to give to Missions through a concept called “Christmas for Christ”. Please remember to save some money to give to JESUS.

    Merry Christmas!
    Happy JESUS day!

21 And thou shalt put the mercy seat above upon the ark; and in the ark thou shalt put the testimony that I shall give thee.

Thank you Jesus for a testimony . and for your Mercy an Grace.

  6. Exodus 25:37 (NLT)

37 Then make the seven lamps for the lampstand, and set them so they reflect their light forward.

The lampstand was of one beaten work. It was intricate and hollow. It was to be filled with olive oil and never run out. The part that sticks out to me is that the lampstand was made so that the light would reflect forward. Not only was it shining but it was also beaming brightly. It looked like a glow.

We know the oil is anointing, the flame is the Holy Ghost. But what is the reflection from? I believe that this is our open willingness to shine his light unashamedly to everyone we meet. The light shines forward and so it should each and every day.

Let’s shine our light to all we meet on this wonderful Christmas Day. Happy Jesus day!

  7. 2 Speak unto the children of Israel, that they bring me an offering: of every man that giveth it willingly with his heart ye shall take my offering.

3 And this is the offering which ye shall take of them; gold, and silver, and brass,

When we are spending time with family and giving gifts to each other. Let’s remember the reason for Christmas, and remember to spend time with God today and give some gifts unto him.

  8. 2 Speak unto the children of Israel, that they bring me an offering: of every man that giveth it willingly with his heart ye shall take my offering.

Bringing ourselves as an offering unto the Lord, with a willing heart, and following the pattern set forth in the tabernacle in our lives everyday is the best way to be successful in living as a true christian.

Give back to Him for the gift He gave to you by giving Him yourself, completely, fully, unashamedly, with all you have!

What a fitting chapter today as we celebrate HAPPY JESUS DAY.

  9. iLove to eat More Word

8 And let them make me a sanctuary; that I may dwell among them.

God is serious about his sanctuary. We are the temple of the most high God and our heart represents the most holy place. We must remove all idols from our lives and turn into the Lord and clean his santuary.

  10. Preparing to build.

These were the specs to make the furniture for the tabernacle. Just as we have plans to make out church to its specs. There are many drawings and sketches that must be approved before they are made. We have a saying at my job that will fit with our walk with God and planning for the future. ” Anxiety is the price you pay for an unprepared mind.”-Marty Cohen.

  11. 2 Speak unto the children of Israel, that they bring me an offering: of every man that giveth it willingly with his heart ye shall take my offering.

God knows what’s in your heart. Let’s give willingly in Jesus name.

  12. 2 Speak unto the children of Israel, that they bring me an offering: of every man that giveth it willingly with his heart ye shall take my offering.

We should be willing and wanting to give

  13. 20 And the cherubims shall stretch forth their wings on high, covering the mercy seat with their wings, and their faces shall look one to another; toward the mercy seat shall the faces of the cherubims be.

Keep your face to Jesus, and He will talk to you, guide you from His mercy seat.

  14. 2 Speak unto the children of Israel, that they bring me an offering: of every man that giveth it willingly with his heart ye shall take my offering.
God made it clear that his people should be ready and willing to give an offering and that we should give that offering with our whole hear. Happy Jesus Day!

  15. “Speak unto the children of Israel, that they bring me an offering: of every man that giveth it willingly with his heart ye shall take my offering”. The Judge (Jesus) was very clear on how an offering had to be given, in order for it to be accepted. One should never forget it is about ones willingness to give and about ones heart. Dear God, help us too remember the significance of giving; Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done”. “In God we trust”. “One Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all”. What a mighty God we serve! Thank God for his word. God bless America, Israel, Jerusalem, and you all in Jesus name, Amen!

  16. 22 And there I will meet with thee, and I will commune with thee from above the mercy seat, from between the two cherubims which are upon the ark of the testimony, of all things which I will give thee in commandment unto the children of Israel.

THe mercy of God speaks volumes into us but there is a place of communion with Him that takes us beyound communicating about His divine favor to divine relationship. His mercies are made new everyday and it is everyday that He desires to commune with us

  17. The willingness if the offering is what God is looking for. This is what initially got Ananias and Safira in trouble in Acts. Yes they lied to the man of God, but look deeper. Why did they lie? They were not willing. They were only willing to give a portion. Which caused them to lie. They wanted something in their heart that caused them to lie. We have to be honest with ourselves and truly examine why we do or don’t want to sacrifice to God.

  18. ““Speak to the children of Israel, that they bring Me an offering. From everyone who gives it willingly with his heart you shall take My offering.”(Exodus‬ ‭25:2‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

God chose to speak to the people of Israel to be a peculiar people to himself, above all people, and he himself would be their King. He ordered a royal palace to be set up among them for himself, called a sanctuary, or holy place, or habitation.
God showed his presence among the people of Israel. And because in the wilderness they dwelt in tents, this royal palace was ordered to be a tabernacle, that it might move with them. In Jesus Name !!!

  19. 2 Speak unto the children of Israel, that they bring me an offering: of every man that giveth it willingly with his heart ye shall take my offering.

Bring an offering willingly to God. The Lord loves a cheerful giver.

  20. God intends his place to be a place of exquisite beauty. These former slaves have many valuable items in their possession (gold, silver, bronze, fine linen material, animal skins, spices and gemstones). All of these things came from Egypt when the Israelite slaves “plundered” them (Ex 12:35-36). When Moses calls the people to give for the tabernacles construction, their eager generosity proves so great that Moses has to tell them to stop bringing gifts (v2-7) What they contribute staggers our minds. Over 2,000 pounds of gold alone went into the construction. It’s not just about the beauty of gold, it’s more than a lesson in the value of worship. As the place where God meets with the people, the tabernacle pictures Christ. John 1:14 says, literally, “The Word became flesh and made his dwelling (or tabernacle) among us”
