Exodus 37

1 And Bezaleel made the ark of shittim wood: two cubits and a half was the length of it, and a cubit and a half the breadth of it, and a cubit and a half the height of it:

2 And he overlaid it with pure gold within and without, and made a crown of gold to it round about.

3 And he cast for it four rings of gold, to be set by the four corners of it; even two rings upon the one side of it, and two rings upon the other side of it.

4 And he made staves of shittim wood, and overlaid them with gold.

5 And he put the staves into the rings by the sides of the ark, to bear the ark.

6 And he made the mercy seat of pure gold: two cubits and a half was the length thereof, and one cubit and a half the breadth thereof.

7 And he made two cherubims of gold, beaten out of one piece made he them, on the two ends of the mercy seat;

8 One cherub on the end on this side, and another cherub on the other end on that side: out of the mercy seat made he the cherubims on the two ends thereof.

9 And the cherubims spread out their wings on high, and covered with their wings over the mercy seat, with their faces one to another; even to the mercy seatward were the faces of the cherubims.

10 And he made the table of shittim wood: two cubits was the length thereof, and a cubit the breadth thereof, and a cubit and a half the height thereof:

11 And he overlaid it with pure gold, and made thereunto a crown of gold round about.

12 Also he made thereunto a border of an handbreadth round about; and made a crown of gold for the border thereof round about.

13 And he cast for it four rings of gold, and put the rings upon the four corners that were in the four feet thereof.

14 Over against the border were the rings, the places for the staves to bear the table.

15 And he made the staves of shittim wood, and overlaid them with gold, to bear the table.

16 And he made the vessels which were upon the table, his dishes, and his spoons, and his bowls, and his covers to cover withal, of pure gold.

17 And he made the candlestick of pure gold: of beaten work made he the candlestick; his shaft, and his branch, his bowls, his knops, and his flowers, were of the same:

18 And six branches going out of the sides thereof; three branches of the candlestick out of the one side thereof, and three branches of the candlestick out of the other side thereof:

19 Three bowls made after the fashion of almonds in one branch, a knop and a flower; and three bowls made like almonds in another branch, a knop and a flower: so throughout the six branches going out of the candlestick.

20 And in the candlestick were four bowls made like almonds, his knops, and his flowers:

21 And a knop under two branches of the same, and a knop under two branches of the same, and a knop under two branches of the same, according to the six branches going out of it.

22 Their knops and their branches were of the same: all of it was one beaten work of pure gold.

23 And he made his seven lamps, and his snuffers, and his snuffdishes, of pure gold.

24 Of a talent of pure gold made he it, and all the vessels thereof.

25 And he made the incense altar of shittim wood: the length of it was a cubit, and the breadth of it a cubit; it was foursquare; and two cubits was the height of it; the horns thereof were of the same.

26 And he overlaid it with pure gold, both the top of it, and the sides thereof round about, and the horns of it: also he made unto it a crown of gold round about.

27 And he made two rings of gold for it under the crown thereof, by the two corners of it, upon the two sides thereof, to be places for the staves to bear it withal.

28 And he made the staves of shittim wood, and overlaid them with gold.

29 And he made the holy anointing oil, and the pure incense of sweet spices, according to the work of the apothecary.

  3. In reading this chapter, we see the know how of “Bezalel”, that the Lord blessed him with. If we allow God to use us, I believe He will also give us the know how of how he wants us to be a part of POFW. We all have a talent or a gift that the Lord has given us. Now what we do with that is the choice we have to make. Bezalel had to be obedient and follow all the commands for making everything involved in the worship of the Sanctuary. As we read in verses 30-35 of Chapter 35 MSG “Moses told the Israelites, “See, God has selected Bezalel son of Uri, son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah. He’s filled him with the Spirit of God, with skill, ability, and know-how for making all sorts of things, to design and work in gold, silver, and bronze; to carve stones and set them; to carve wood, working in every kind of skilled craft. And he’s also made him a teacher, he and Oholiab son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan. He’s gifted them with the know-how needed for carving, designing, weaving, and embroidering in blue, purple, and scarlet fabrics, and in fine linen. They can make anything and design anything.” If we are obedient we too can teach others to do the same.

  4. The Candlestick

If you’ve ever seen a traditional candle still it kinda looks like a tree. The Candlestick offers us knowledge, enlightenment, direction and other things; by the Holy Ghost. For Christ is the light of the world, now we are the light.

When we daily fail to pass by the brazen altar and partake of the brazen laver we lack the knowledge, enlightenment, and direction that’s needed for that day. For we can’t partake of the ladder without these.

    Revelation 2:5
Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent

The thing He had against the church was they lost their first love so He said He would remove their candlestick.

This shows me that my lack of relationship will cause me to lake knowledge, revelation, and direction just to name a few. I belive the significance of it looking like a tree is that we need these things in order to grow. I cannot grow in Him if I do not know Him.

Lord, continue to show me Your ways and reveal to me Your plan. I desire to live a life worthy of my calling and grow in You.

  5. 25 He made the altar of incense of acacia wood. Its length was a cubit, and its breadth was a cubit. It was square, and two cubits was its height. Its horns were of one piece with it. MSG

What is our altars made up of? Reading this chapter we see how they all worked together, what could/would happen if we all at POFW worked together and not against each other. As we learned in leadership last night we need each other. When a brother or sister is down help them to build their altar back up.

  6. Exodus 37:27

27 And he made two rings of gold for it under the crown thereof, by the two corners of it, upon the two sides thereof, to be places for the staves to bear it withal.

The ark of the covenant, and the altar of incense were both to be carried using staves. This meant they put these on their shoulders and physically carried them everytime they moved. The ark symbolizes his presence, mercy, law, provision, and miracles. It was the meeting place with man.

The altar of incense was the place of worship, and praise to God. This was the place they would go to daily to be with God.

I believe each was carried to remind them that this is serious. Living for God is not some light convenient thing that can be carried on a cart and drug around accessed only when we feel like it. His glory, his presence are serious and eternal. They are more real than the screen I’m typing on.

It is a high privilege and extreme honor to know the king of kings and it should never be taken lightly. Our time of prayer, reading, studying, praise, and worship should be the most important thing to us.

If we carry this burden on our shoulders which Jesus said is easy and lite. Then he will carry us in everything else.

    As the elders would say.
Live for God easy and it will be hard.
Live for God hard and it will be easy.

  7. The plan was clear and the people were willing to execute the plan. God wasn’t asking for something they didn’t have. The people had exactly what was needed to build the tabernacle. They had the resources, wisdom, knowledge and were very skillful. But they also allowed God to use them in every way possible. They surrendered their will for the Will of God to be fulfilled. The same can apply for us today. When we truly lose our identity is when we can truly reflect the image of God. When we break our will that’s when we are really whole and complete. When we give all that we have that’s when we find the greatest treasure of all, eternal life.

“Then he said to all of them, “If anyone wants to follow me, he must say no to himself. He must pick up his cross every day and follow me. If he wants to save his life, he will lose it. But if he loses his life for me, he will save it. What good is it if someone gains the whole world but loses or gives up his very self?”
    ‭‭Luke‬ ‭9:23-25‬ ‭NIRV‬‬

Awake My Soul ( Christ is formed in me)
    (chorus)
Awake my soul, prepare an entrance for Your glory
And let my heart become a throne for You to dwell
And when I need Your Holy Spirit more than life itself
Then Christ is formed in me

  8. Notice that everything was covered in gold? Gold was the most precious metal they had, so it was used to show that the things of God were most precious to them. Even though this idea has been lost by most of our society today, we cannot let that be the case with us. The House of God is the most precious place we can go, so we should dress and act accordingly. His House is sacred; let’s not forget to treat it that way.

  9. PURE INSIDE AND OUTSIDE

2 And he overlaid it with pure gold within and without, and made a crown of gold to it round about.

Who will see the inside of the ark of GOD? Who will see the outside of the ark of GOD? In the design and construction of the ark, it mattered not who would see it. Both the inside and outside of the ark received the same valuable investment of PURE GOLD.

As Holy Spirit filled, Born Again believers we are called and challenged to place the same value on looking holy on the outside as we do to being holy on the inside.

Psalms 24:3 Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD? or who shall stand in his holy place?
4 He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.
5 He shall receive the blessing from the LORD, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.

    Clean hands = Pure Outside
    Clean Heart = Pure Inside

    iPraise
    iPray
    iWork

    • Notice that everything was covered in gold? Gold was the most precious metal they had, so it was used to show that the things of God were most precious to them. The House of God is the most precious place we can go, so we should dress and act accordingly. His House is sacred; let’s not forget to treat it that way.

  10. iLove to grow in the Word
23 And he made his seven lamps, and his snuffers, and his snuffdishes, of pure gold.

There is a simple way to interpret what these seven lamps represent in scripture, and that is to find other scripture that verifies the interpretation. That scripture is found in Zechariah.

Zechariah 4:10 NLT Do not despise these small beginnings, for the LORD rejoices to see the work begin, to see the plumb line in Zerubbabel’s hand.” (The seven lamps represent the eyes of the LORD that search all around the world.)

  11. 6 And he made the mercy seat of pure gold: two cubits and a half was the length thereof, and one cubit and a half the breadth thereof.

    7 And he made two cherubims of gold, beaten out of one piece made he them, on the two ends of the mercy seat;

We may not have pure gold that is handy for us, but all of should sacrifice giving something precious in helping to give in building Gods tabernacle, his church.

  12. 9 And the cherubims spread out their wings on high, and covered with their wings over the mercy seat, with their faces one to another; even to the mercy seatward were the faces of the cherubims.

  13. As we read this chapter we see each item is being made with a specific material.

Just as for the Kingdom of God, He will use specific people that are put in the right place at the right time.

Ensure you are where you need to be, ready and available.

  14. God has always had specific way for things to be done. How much more does he expect us to follow his instruction for salvation. Acts 2:38.

  15. The Candlestick of Gold

The lampstands practical function was to provide light for the priests who were serving in the Holy Place. But from a symbolic perspective, it quite clearly typifies the Lord Jesus Christ, who is the true Light (John 1:6-9; 8:12).
Believers in this age are “the light of the world” (Matthew 5-14).
“Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.

  16. Then he made the sacred anointing oil and the fragrant incense, using the techniques of a skilled incense maker. (‭Exodus‬ ‭37‬:‭29‬ NLT)

Just to know that as we send up a fragrance of incense, The LORD will meet us there.

  17. My thoughts keep circling back to our Proverbs reading this morning.

Proverbs 6:32-35 MSG Adultery is a brainless act, soul-destroying, self-destructive; Expect a bloody nose, a black eye, and a reputation ruined for good. For jealousy detonates rage in a cheated husband; wild for revenge, he won’t make allowances. Nothing you say or pay will make it all right; neither bribes nor reason will satisfy him.
Exodus 34:14 For thou shalt worship no other god: for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God:
Revelation 19:7 Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.
Isaiah 54:5For thy Maker is thine husband; the Lord of hosts is his name; and thy Redeemer the Holy One of Israel; The God of the whole earth shall he be called.

We are the bride of Christ. If we have another supreme love in our lives beyond Christ we are committing adultery. Husbands and wives should love each other, parents are to love their children and children are to love and respect their parents. This is not in competition with God unless these relationships take priority in our lives over the Lord.

If we build up some “thing” in our lives to spend more time with than God are we committing spiritual adultery against the Lord? I believe so. What is the purpose of our life? According to the Bible, our purpose, the reason we are here, is for God’s glory. In other words, our purpose is to praise God, worship Him, to proclaim His greatness, and to accomplish His will. This is what glorifies Him. We were created by Him, according to His desire, and our lives are to be lived for Him so that we might accomplish what He has for us to do. When we trust the one who has made us, who works all things after the counsel of His will then we are able to live a life of purpose. How the particulars of that purpose are expressed is up to the individual.

James 4:4-5 MSG You’re cheating on God. If all you want is your own way, flirting with the world every chance you get, you end up enemies of God and his way. And do you suppose God doesn’t care? The proverb has it that “he’s a fiercely jealous lover.” And what he gives in love is far better than anything else you’ll find.

  18. The Same relationship that Bezaleel had with the Lord that he could be given the specific instructions for his task at hand is the same relationship that we can have with the Lord. Anything that arises in our life, the answers can be found through the Word of God and seeking His face in prayer. The problem arises that we, the carnal side of the relationship don’t want to invest the time into the relationship to find the answers. We live in a microwave society that thinks we need everything immediately. If we can condition our minds to seek the answer and not response/move/do whatever it is we are seeking the answer for until we hear from the Lord through prayer or His Word, our lives will be so much better because we won’t have to go back and undo something we have done that we shouldn’t have done.

  19. And he overlaid it with pure gold within and without, and made a crown of gold to it round about.

Put your money where your heart is at

  20. More detailed instructions; the obedience in following them is an example to follow. More often than not, we don’t look into the fine details, we don’t read or listen to the full instructions – we’re all guilty of “scimming through.” It’s like my mom always says when we don’t listen, “it goes in one ear and right out the other.” I can only imagine how amazing the outcome would be if we all began paying attention to the full instructions God gives, rather than ignoring or modifying the method to be “faster.” We must obey the full Word of God, not just bits and pieces that we think sound good and fit well for the season.

  21. 7 And he made two cherubims of gold, beaten out of one piece made he them, on the two ends of the mercy seat;

    His mercy endureth forever!

  22. 1 And Bezaleel made the ark of shittim wood

    7 And he made two cherubims of gold, beaten out of one piece made he them, on the two ends of the mercy seat;

At an artist’s viewpoint i notice that these cherubims were two of the most important things in the tabernacle; where the Spirit of God himself dwelled and spoke to his people. Preachers often speak about then in there messages. ..and yet Bezaleel is hardly given much recognition for the work that went down in history. Proving to us that what we do and make is far more recognizable then how great we are for making it. Bezaleel created these things to glorify God and that is exactly what it did. I’m sure if he made those things to make a name for himself then he wouldn’t even have a place in the Bible.

God knows the intentions of our hearts, we might be able to fool others and at times even ourselves. We must take time to examine our own hearts and ask, is this for the glory of God or for my own prideful self recognition. I’m sure the answer to that question would do good to keep us all out of unwanted situations.

  23. 17 And he made the candlestick of pure gold: of beaten work made he the candlestick; his shaft, and his branch, his bowls, his knops, and his flowers, were of the same:

18 And six branches going out of the sides thereof; three branches of the candlestick out of the one side thereof, and three branches of the candlestick out of the other side thereof:

The candlestick is a visual of unity. It was all one piece but it had multiple parts. There were branches, knops, flowers, and a shaft. Each serving a different purpose but made from the same single material.

  24. What I learned about making the ark of the testimony was that, this chest was made of acacia wood, about four feet long, two and a half feet wide, and two and a half feet high. It was overlaid with gold inside and out (Ex 25:11) and a ring of gold at each corner or foot through which poles were passed to carry it. The lid of the ark, the kappo„reth or “mercy seat” (Ex 25:17), was made of pure gold. At each end of the mercy seat was a cherubim made of hammered gold. The ark (áa„ro„n) is referred to some 200 times in the OT under 22 different designations. The ark of the covenant (Josh 3:6), the ark of the testimony (Ex 25:22). This various terminology for the ark may reflect a difference in date and authorship of the various sources, but this is not necessarily so.

  25. And Bezaleel made the ark of shittim wood: two cubits and a half was the length of it, and a cubit and a half the breadth of it, and a cubit and a half the height of it:

2 And he overlaid it with pure gold within and without, and made a crown of gold to it round about.

3 And he cast for it four rings of gold, to be set by the four corners of it; even two rings upon the one side of it, and two rings upon the other side of it.

4 And he made staves of shittim wood, and overlaid them with gold.

5 And he put the staves into the rings by the sides of the ark, to bear the ark.

6 And he made the mercy seat of pure gold: two cubits and a half was the length thereof, and one cubit and a half the breadth thereof.

    7 And he made two cherubims of gold, beaten out of one piece made he them, on the two ends of the mercy seat;

I love God, he was very specific in how he wanted
The ark and the tabernacle made, and he knew who to assign the task. God is specific in how he wants us to live our lives and he knows just to put in our lives to guide us. It’s up to me if I recognize God in it and I’m obedient, or I choose to ignore God and the man of God and do my own thing, I choose God.

    Growing in PASSION!

  26. 2 And he overlaid it with pure gold within and without, and made a crown of gold to it round about.

As we read through this chapter we see that the word gold is mentioned throughout it all, so the question came to mind, why gold? Gold was considered the most precious metal there was, so to them it only seemed right to cover everything of God in the most precious thing they could find.

Our bodies are the temple of God, so why do we not put the most precious things into us? Why do we instead fill ourselves with the things that are not of God? Can we just look the part and be alright? In verse two it says it was filled within AND without, so we must not only look the part but live it inside and out. Let’s fill ourselves with all things pure and holy before God!!

“Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.”
    ‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭3:16-17‬ ‭KJV‬‬

  27. 3 And he cast for it four rings of gold, to be set by the four corners of it; even two rings upon the one side of it, and two rings upon the other side of it.

4 And he made staves of shittim wood, and overlaid them with gold.

Of all the times I have read this, I never realized that every piece of furniture had to be carried by its own staves and not by hand. Kevin

  28. Then he made special containers of pure gold for the table bowls ladles jar and pitchers to be used in pouring out liquid offering

  29. God puts the answers right in front of our faces, but sometimes we are just too blind to notice them. If we’d open our eyes and follow his instructions then everything will work out just fine

  30. 20 And in the candlestick were four bowls made like almonds, his knops, and his flowers:

The lampstands function was to provide light for the priests who were serving in the Holy Place. But from a symbolic perspective, its quite clear that Jesus is the true light. Us as believers we should be the light of the world. When people see us they should be able to know that we are different. Don’t let the devil bind you with the little things of this world like pants, jewelry, nail polish, make up, shorts, prayer, food, coming to church and etc. If we truly want to grow and believe that nothing is to hard for God these things should not affect us in any way because don’t forget that the Spirit is willing even though the flesh is weak. Its not time to be playing church and being selfish but reaching out to others. Eternal is to long to spend it in hell. Rise up and trust in God completely.

  31. 29They also made the sacred anointing oil and the pure, fragrant incense—the work of a perfumer.

“The work of a perfumer” was to develope incense but just not any pretty smell, but pure and fragrant to God. They also made the oil for anointing like they do the priests. It seems like a fun and small job compared to master builders, weavers, and welders. To understand what a sweet fragrance to God would smell like they would first have to know what God is expecting and what it will be used for or represent on the altar of incense.

The altar is a sacred place of worship and was constructed to be carried along with the other pieces of the tabernacle when the Lord began to move. So, incense (a type of prayer) is to be something we do all the time (1 Th 5:17) with purpose (Mark 14:38) and the altar is the place of sacrifice and worship. It is so important that it’s in from of the ark of the covenant (Ex 40:5) and before God’s throne in heaven (Rev 8:3). Incense is to be pure and not mixed or to us not tainted with unclean heart or spirit (ex 2 Ch 26:19) upon the altar of incense. Prayer is so powerful that going to the altar of incense would make atonement (Nu 16:46) can catalyze the miraculous (Luk 1:11).

  32. We need and use every part of our body no matter how useless it may seem, like the nose. It allows us to smell but is that it’s only purpose? No. It also gives us alternate way to breathe along with a few other purposes. However, imagine if you didn’t have a nose. How different would your body function? It wouldn’t work the way God intended. The same goes for the body of Christ. Each member in His church are needed, valued and serve a purpose. Without one of His children where they belong the body of Christ doesn’t work like God intended. Every one of His children are special and have a place in Him! We all work together for the greater good which is to bring the lost to Him.

Thank you Jesus for allowing us to work in unity and opening our eyes to see you!

  33. Exodus 37:25 They made the altar of 8ncense out of acacia wood. It was square, a cubit long and a cubit wide and two cubits high it’s horns of one piece withnit. They overlaid through the top and all sides and the horns with pure gold, and made a gold molding around it. They made two gold rings below the molding two on each of three opposite sides to hold the poles used to carry it. They made the poles of acacia wood and overlaid themwithbgold. They also made the sacred anointing oil and pure fragrant incense the work of a perfumer.

  34. At the breaking point.

And he made the holy anointing oil, and the pure incense of sweet spices, according to the work of the apothecary.

    The anointing oil.

In church culture as a whole. We tend to stay away from talking about being broken. To some degree it has become a taboo topic. People getting offended when we say that we’ve been praying for them. And their response is ,” Do you think something is wrong with me?”
The fact of the matter, is that in more cases than not. People are hurt and that is why they lash out. But what’s so important about being broken. Why do we shy away from being broke. Its when we are broke that the anointing can start to flow. So to be able to worship God with anointing we must understand that through brokenness comes anointing. Come to him as you are. You are beautiful.

  35. Ex. 37:25a & 29
25a, “And he made the incense altar of shittim wood:”
29, “And he made the holy anointing oil, and the pure incense of sweet spices, according to the work of the apothecary.”

The Altar of Incense represents prayer.
Psalms 141:2, “Let my prayer be set forth before thee as incense; and the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice.”

  36. 2 And he overlaid it with pure gold within and without, and made a crown of gold to it round about.

3 And he cast for it four rings of gold, to be set by the four corners of it; even two rings upon the one side of it, and two rings upon the other side of it.

  37. 9 The cherubim faced each other and looked down on the atonement cover. With their wings spread above it, they protected it.

God will protect us at all times. Just like a bird, spreading their wings to protect their young. Nothing will be able to get past the wings, as long as we stay connected to the Lord!

  38. Beautiful description of the Ark of the Lord, made from gold from inside and out. The angels seeing each other as the description in Revelation. That’s amazing how they received revelation from something they did not seen. Praise The Lord! Holy Ghost revealing His Kingdom!

  39. Even as the ark and the different items were made of pure gold . God enjoys the pure gold, but it takes tremendous heat and cleaning the impurities of the gold to make it pure. God purify us to be pure gold that we may be pleasant in thy sight

  40. We need to have that strong relationship with God. As I was reading this God was showing me areas that need to be strengthened. He will bless our church as long as we stay true to Him and our faith. The candlesticks look like trees, growth. We will grow in wisdom, understanding, and faith. The flesh needs to die so that growth can take place, amen. Our God is awesome and I love Him so very much. Let us not stumble and grow in His wisdom and understanding. Thank you Jesus.

19 Three bowls made after the fashion of almonds in one branch, a bud and a flower; and three bowls made like almonds in another branch, a bud and a flower: so throughout the six branches going out of the candlestick.

20 And in the candlestick were four bowls made like almonds, his knops, and his flowers:

21 And a bud under two branches of the same, and a bud under two branches of the same, and a bud under two branches of the same, according to the six branches going out of it.

  41. He overlaid it inside and outside with pure gold, and he ran a molding of gold all around it. He cast four gold rings and attached them to its four feet, two rings on each side.
    Exodus 37:2-3 NLT

Everthing that was made was either overlaid or mase out of Pure Gold. Nothing but the best was used which is what we should offer everyday of our existance, nothing but the best.

  42. God had a design for each item in the Tabernacle, from the curtains, to the ark and table, to the candlestick and bowls. Each item was an instrument of worship. We too are an instrument of worship and God has a specific place for each of us…a design that includes and expected end for our lives. We must become like the gold used to overlay these instruments by being moldable in his hands.

  43. Everything is in it’s place when it comes to the work of the Lord. You can’t just put things the way you want when it comes to God. The things of God are designed a certain way for reason and must not stray away from it. Our blessing comes in our obedience to follow the directions that God has given.

  44. “And Bezaleel made the ark of”. The word of God (Jesus) described in detail the what, how, and who. The plan of salvation is no different as it also describes in detail the what (plan of salvation), how (requirements), and who (all mankind); there is great importance in knowing both. Dear God, help me to truly see the detail; “In God we (I) trust”. “One Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all”. May God Bless America, Israel, Jerusalem, and you all in Jesus name, Amen!

  45. “And he made the holy anointing oil, and the pure incense of sweet spices, according to the work of the apothecary.” There was much detail that went into the work that was accomplished. The detail in which something is done, which includes timeliness is important. God help us with the detail, in Jesus name.

  46. I read this today and tonight now am reflecting upon it after prayer! God revealed to me to put this on the blog tonight! We can not be comfortable when outside of the walls of the church. We must be careful of the things in which we are allowing into our lives and ensure they do not allow it to become a habitual habit which turns into a desire of wanting more of the things that are not of God. Everything we do in the place comes from the work of God. We can’t put off the things of God! We are called with a purpose! We are called to be a light! Church what light is the world, our jobs, supervisors, etc. seeing in us? Are they seeing the light of the world or are they seeing the relationship we have with Jesus in our lives? The question tonight comes to this are we truly living these 40 days of passion sacrificially or are we arising in the things that are not of the bible? Meaning are we doing what we are suppose to in this 40 days of passion, including fasting! Or are we doing what we are not suppose to do? Church be careful of what we allow to feed us!

  47. 6 And he made the mercy seat of pure gold: two cubits and a half was the length thereof, and one cubit and a half the breadth thereof.

Pure Gold is in the mercy seat. Not something else covered in gold but pure gold. When we recive God’s mercy we are getting His best because he paid the price the highest price bugger than gold.

  48. 26 And he overlaid it with pure gold, both the top of it, and the sides thereof round about, and the horns of it: also he made unto it a crown of gold round about.
it’s amazing through this whole chapter how much gold was used in the preparation of the temple. It appears that God wants everything to be top notch and as beautiful as possible in the house of God. well obviously we can’t ovrelay everything with gold we can definitely keep the house of God clean and show respect by treating everything in the house of God gently and carefully. when guests see how clean and beautiful the house of God is they realize how important it is to us and it also helps them to know how important it should be to them.

  49. Everything was made with Reverence And Precision, This is how we should approach God .This coming Sunday We will have a chance to do the same, beginning With communion and footwashing .

  50. Everything in the temple down to the last stitch was important to God. The staves that held the tent up were overlaid with pure gold. I believe these staves represent the prayer warriors in the church. These are the ones that hold the church up. They keep it strong and standing bold in the face of the enemy. They are always in place and will not move. These prayer warriors are crucial to the church standing. Let us lift up our prayer warriors in prayer that they may be strengthened and encouraged. without prayer the church will fall.

    • Come on now! My prayer is that God would continue to raise up might men and women that will faithfully war in the spirit for the salvation of souls. We must reach this region and when Zion “the church” travails sons and daughter are born. Isaiah 66:8

  51. Such an amazing thing to imagine the Ark of the Covenant. One of my goals is to visit Israel soon. To see the bible come to life, walk were Jesus walked and visit his tomb. I want to see in person the Ark and all of it splendor.

  52. v17And he made the candlestick of pure gold: of beaten work made he the candlestick; his shaft, and his branch, his bowls, his knops, and his flowers were of the same:

Thankfully, HE has granted us mercy through JESUS CHRIST, who is the mediator and the light to everyone who will hear the gospel.

JESUS THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD!!!

  53. In this chapter there was a lot of time and effort put into the building of the ark. Just like it took time and detail in the building….the same goes for us all. God is taking His time building, molding, fixing. We can’t rush the artist because if you rush Him sometimes the art piece doesn’t get finished or He has to start over. Don’t rush God, because in due time things will happen. The right time is Gods time.

  54. Everything was made with pure gold. It was a very precious metal. The angles looked over the mercy seat. It is believed that this is a earthly representation of what it looks like In heaven.

  55. The Apothecary’s Work

    Exodus 37:29 KJV
And he made the holy anointing oil, and the pure incense of sweet spices, according to the work of the apothecary.

    Exodus 37:29 ESV
He made the holy anointing oil also, and the pure fragrant incense, blended as by the perfumer.

In the Hebrew, the “apothecary” is translated not as a noun but as the verb, “raqach.” The apothecary’s art involves grinding spices (perfumes) down so they are small enough to incorporate with oil to make incense. If oil represents anointing, grinding represents the process of anointing and prayer represents the incense. The process of grinding is inseparable from anointing, just as prayer must be. Anyone can be crushed, but crushing alone won’t make one anointed. Prayer makes the crushing holy, not just a burden of life but a process that we place in the hands of God so that anointing can come out. The Apothecary’s Work is that of crushing, prayer, and anointing; it is a work that requires us to partner with God in surrender to His process and will. When we commit ourselves to the Apothecary’s Work, not only will we find anointing but our entire life will be perfumed with the incense.

    Psalm 141:2
Let my prayer be set forth before thee as incense; and the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice.

    Revelation 8:3-4
3 And another angel came and stood at the altar, having a golden censer; and there was given unto him much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne.

4 And the smoke of the incense, which came with the prayers of the saints, ascended up before God out of the angel’s hand.

  56. 1 And Bezaleel made the ark of shittim wood: two cubits and a half was the length of it, and a cubit and a half the breadth of it, and a cubit and a half the height of it:

2 And he overlaid it with pure gold within and without, and made a crown of gold to it round about.

Bezaleel made all these mentioned he was the servant vessel used of God to make and over lay to God’s commands. God knows who he can trust do do his works.

May the Lord use this vessel to serve him as I would do willingly to his command in Jesus. Name.

  57. 29 And he made the holy anointing oil, and the pure incense of sweet spices, according to the work of the apothecary.

He covered everything out of gold that is worth very much but he still knew that it needed a covering that will never break and can’t have a price to it ,so he put holy anointing oil. Every one always says you are worth more than gold. This is true because we are the children of God but we still need that anointing on us! Without the anointing on you what more are you than gold.

  58. 1 And Bezaleel made the ark of shittim wood: two cubits and a half was the length of it, and a cubit and a half the breadth of it, and a cubit and a half the height of it:

God blesses all of us with gifts, gifts that are not all the same so that every job in the Church is not carried my one man or woman.

  59. The Chest
(MSG)6 Next he made a lid of pure gold for the Chest, an Atonement-Cover, three and three-quarters feet long and two and a quarter feet wide.
7-9 He sculpted two winged angel-cherubim out of hammered gold for the ends of the Atonement-Cover, one angel at one end, one angel at the other. He made them of one piece with the Atonement-Cover. The angels had outstretched wings and appeared to hover over the Atonement-Cover, facing one another but looking down on the Atonement-Cover.

    Meaning of Atonement
    CHRISTIAN THEOLOGY
the reconciliation of God and humankind through Jesus Christ.
    noun: Atonement; noun: the Atonement
