Leviticus 5

1 And if a soul sin, and hear the voice of swearing, and is a witness, whether he hath seen or known of it; if he do not utter it, then he shall bear his iniquity.

2 Or if a soul touch any unclean thing, whether it be a carcase of an unclean beast, or a carcase of unclean cattle, or the carcase of unclean creeping things, and if it be hidden from him; he also shall be unclean, and guilty.

3 Or if he touch the uncleanness of man, whatsoever uncleanness it be that a man shall be defiled withal, and it be hid from him; when he knoweth of it, then he shall be guilty.

4 Or if a soul swear, pronouncing with his lips to do evil, or to do good, whatsoever it be that a man shall pronounce with an oath, and it be hid from him; when he knoweth of it, then he shall be guilty in one of these.

5 And it shall be, when he shall be guilty in one of these things, that he shall confess that he hath sinned in that thing:

6 And he shall bring his trespass offering unto the Lord for his sin which he hath sinned, a female from the flock, a lamb or a kid of the goats, for a sin offering; and the priest shall make an atonement for him concerning his sin.

7 And if he be not able to bring a lamb, then he shall bring for his trespass, which he hath committed, two turtledoves, or two young pigeons, unto the Lord; one for a sin offering, and the other for a burnt offering.

8 And he shall bring them unto the priest, who shall offer that which is for the sin offering first, and wring off his head from his neck, but shall not divide it asunder:

9 And he shall sprinkle of the blood of the sin offering upon the side of the altar; and the rest of the blood shall be wrung out at the bottom of the altar: it is a sin offering.

10 And he shall offer the second for a burnt offering, according to the manner: and the priest shall make an atonement for him for his sin which he hath sinned, and it shall be forgiven him.

11 But if he be not able to bring two turtledoves, or two young pigeons, then he that sinned shall bring for his offering the tenth part of an ephah of fine flour for a sin offering; he shall put no oil upon it, neither shall he put any frankincense thereon: for it is a sin offering.

12 Then shall he bring it to the priest, and the priest shall take his handful of it, even a memorial thereof, and burn it on the altar, according to the offerings made by fire unto the Lord: it is a sin offering.

13 And the priest shall make an atonement for him as touching his sin that he hath sinned in one of these, and it shall be forgiven him: and the remnant shall be the priest’s, as a meat offering.

14 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,

15 If a soul commit a trespass, and sin through ignorance, in the holy things of the Lord; then he shall bring for his trespass unto the Lord a ram without blemish out of the flocks, with thy estimation by shekels of silver, after the shekel of the sanctuary, for a trespass offering.

16 And he shall make amends for the harm that he hath done in the holy thing, and shall add the fifth part thereto, and give it unto the priest: and the priest shall make an atonement for him with the ram of the trespass offering, and it shall be forgiven him.

17 And if a soul sin, and commit any of these things which are forbidden to be done by the commandments of the Lord; though he wist it not, yet is he guilty, and shall bear his iniquity.

18 And he shall bring a ram without blemish out of the flock, with thy estimation, for a trespass offering, unto the priest: and the priest shall make an atonement for him concerning his ignorance wherein he erred and wist it not, and it shall be forgiven him.

19 It is a trespass offering: he hath certainly trespassed against the Lord.

  1. There are so many things that can be gleaned from this chapter. As being a Sunday School teacher, I witnessed many children doing something wrong and literally watch them doing it; but, in calling them out I get the response “I didn’t do anything or It wasn’t me”. Yes, we are human and yes, we do make mistakes; but, we also have to learn from them and truly ask for forgiveness. JESUS today YOU will SAVE me and help me grow in my walk with you.

  2. iLove to grow in the Word
Leviticus 5:2 NLT “Or suppose you unknowingly touch something that is ceremonially unclean, such as the carcass of an unclean animal. When you realize what you have done, you must admit your defilement and your guilt. This is true whether it is a wild animal, a domestic animal, or an animal that scurries along the ground.

This reminds me about the parable of the good Samaritan. The man that fell by thieves was beaten nearly to death and left lying on the ground.
Luke 10:31 A priest happened to be going down the same road, and when he saw the man, he passed by on the other side. 32 So too, a Levite, when he came to the place and saw him, passed by on the other side.

Is it possible that the priest and Levite did not want to defile themselves by touching a half dead human? The law was never designed to let people die, but rather was to save humanity from the death sentence of Adam.

  3. 1 And if a soul sin, and hear the voice of swearing, and is a witness, whether he hath seen or known of it; if he do not utter it, then he shall bear his iniquity.

  4. 7 And if he be not able to bring a lamb, then he shall bring for his trespass, which he hath committed, two turtledoves, or two young pigeons, unto the Lord; one for a sin offering, and the other for a burnt offering.

In the song “On the First Day of Christmas” its says on the second day two turtle doves were brought. Back in those times if you had a male born first in your house you sacrificed turtule doves as an offering of praise to the Lord. And hear it states that they were used as a sin offering. Thank you, Jesus, for sacrificing yourself on the cross, to take away our sins and leave us blameless. Praise God!

  5. 6. And he shall bring his trespass offering unto the Lord for his sin which he hath sinned, a female from the flock, a lamb or a kid of the goats, for a sin offering; and the priest shall make an atonement for him concerning his sin.

    7. And if he be not able to bring a lamb,
then he shall bring for his trespass, which he hath committed, two turtledoves, or two young pigeons, unto the Lord; one for a sin offering, and the other for a burnt offering.

    11. But if he be not able to bring two turtledoves,
or two young pigeons, then he that sinned shall bring for his offering the tenth part of an ephah of fine flour for a sin offering; he shall put no oil upon it, neither shall he put any frankincense thereon: for it is a sin offering.

Economic status, on either end of the spectrum, does not exempt anyone from following God’s commands or release us from repentance.

    Romans 3:23
    For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

  6. And if a soul sin and hear the voice of swearing and is a witness, weather he hath seen or known of it, if he do not utter it then he shall bear his iniquity. 2 or if a soul touch any unclean thing, weather it be a carcass of an unclean beast, or a carcass of unclean cattle or the carcass of unclean creeping things, and if it be hidden from him he also shall be unclean, and guilty.

  7. 4 Or if a soul swear, pronouncing with his lips to do evil, or to do good, whatsoever it be that a man shall pronounce with an oath, and it be hid from him; when he knoweth of it, then he shall be guilty in one of these.

5 And it shall be, when he shall be guilty in one of these things, that he shall confess that he hath sinned in that thing:

We need to do all we can to keep our word especially to the Lord.

Deut 23:21 When thou shalt vow a vow unto the LORD thy God, thou shalt not slack to pay it: for the LORD thy God will surely require it of thee; and it would be sin in thee.

  8. “Or suppose you make a foolish vow of any kind, whether its purpose is for good or for bad. When you realize its foolishness, you must admit your guilt. “When you become aware of your guilt in any of these ways, you must confess your sin. (‭Leviticus‬ ‭5‬:‭4-5‬ NLT)

How many of us have done this before, unconsciously making vows and not coming through with it. We make vows at the time by what ‘feels’ good or convenient. We need to be people of our word.

But let your communication be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: for whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil. (‭Matthew‬ ‭5‬:‭37‬ KJV)

  9. ““Suppose you sin by violating one of the LORD’s commands. Even if you are unaware of what you have done, you are guilty and will be punished for your sin.”
    ‭‭Leviticus‬ ‭5:17‬ ‭NLT‬‬

My prayer is that the unknown sin in my life would be brought to light and be exposed. I would rather know now that I have an opportunity to repent than to get to judgment and have it on my record.

  10. Leviticus 5:19
It is a trespass offering he hath certainly trespassed against the Lord.
All ways give you offering to the Lord. Grow with Jesus Amen

  11. 11 But if he be not able to bring two turtledoves, or two young pigeons, then he that sinned shall bring for his offering the tenth part of an ephah of fine flour for a sin offering; he shall put no oil upon it, neither shall he put any frankincense thereon: for it is a sin offering.

Not everyone can give the same amount, but God always makes a way.

  12. Is ignorance an excuse?

I was pulled over once when I was about 17-18 yrs old for speeding in a school zone. The officer gave me a really hard time. He was very upset that I was speeding and could have harmed a child and he should have been. My excuse was that I turned off a side street into the school zone and started doing a common residential speed of 30. I was telling the truth. There was no signs at that intersection that I could see telling me it was a school zone. I did what I thought was right and I still got a ticket. I took the ticket to court because I was going to explain myself to the judge and he was going to dismiss the case because I didn’t know. I was wrong. When I told the story to the judge he quickly answered ” Ignorance of the law is not an excuse to break it”. I had to pay the fine but the let it stay off my record.

Even in ignorance it is still a sin. This is why the bible says:

    2 Timothy 2:
15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

  13. 5 “When you become aware of your guilt in any of these ways, you must confess your sin. (NLT)

We’re not perfect and yes, we make mistakes. Sometimes without even realizing it! That’s why we should always ask forgiveness of sins we don’t realize we’ve committed, because to walk around with that extra baggage is unnecessary. JESUS today YOU will SAVE me!

  14. Leviticus 5:17 (NLT)

17 “Suppose you sin by violating one of the Lord’s commands. Even if you are unaware of what you have done, you are guilty and will be punished for your sin.

  15. we should be striving to NOT sin and do wrong things, not worrying bout how bad it is and quickly asking forgiveness, we die daily for things we cant control for the most part I hope, thank God for forgiveness

  16. What is a true friend?
Proverbs 14:10 The person who shuns the bitter moments of friends will be an outsider at their celebrations.

Are we a fair weather friend or one such as Jesus “sticks closer than a brother? While meditating on this concept the theme song from Toy Story leaped into my mind. “You got a friend in me, you got a friend in me…” I only know these two lines of the song. I looked up the lyrics and was surprised by the depth the singer claims his friendship:
You got troubles and I got ’em too
There isn’t anything I wouldn’t do for you
We stick together, we can see it through
Some other folks might be a little bit smarter than I am
    Bigger and stronger too
But none of them will ever love you the way I do

Do we offer this level of commitment to our “friends”? Do we have different levels of friendship that does not require such deep dedication? I believe there are different levels of friendship. The first step could be labeled an acquaintance; an occasional contact. This level should not be overlooked; each introduction should be considered a divine appointment. The next level could be labeled a casual friend; someone one with similar interests or activities. Try to discover their strengths during this period. It may reveal the steps to a deeper friendship. A close friend could be described as a kinship of each-others soul; like-minded in mind, will and emotions. 1 John 5:7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. The final level of friendship could be labeled intimate. At this level we should have the freedom to correct each other and discern each-others weak spots in life.

  17. BRING SOMETHING

11 But if he be not able to bring two turtledoves, or two young pigeons, then he that sinned shall bring for his offering the tenth part of an ephah of fine flour for a sin offering; he shall put no oil upon it, neither shall he put any frankincense thereon: for it is a sin offering.

GOD expects us to bring HIM an offering, in thanksgiving. Here we learn of the requirements of the law in regards to sin offering. We know that JESUS in his death, burial and resurrection paid our sin debt already.

However, now we give sacrificial offering out of a heart of THANKSGIVING not OBLIGATION.

GOD understands the uniqueness of each family and the resources available. GOD made a way for 3 levels of sacrifice to be acceptable for a sin offering.

    A female lamb or goat
2 turtle doves or young pigeons
1/10th an ephah of fine flour

Establishing a principal that we can all GIVE something.

    iRepent
    iPraise
    iPray
    iWork
    iGive
    iReap

  18. Sin is Sin

And if a soul sin, and commit any of these things which are forbidden to be done by the commandments of the Lord; though he wist it not, yet is he guilty, and shall bear his iniquity.

Wish – – To know, be aware of.

So even when we sin without our knowledge we have sin. The sad part is that back then the sacrifice only had the atonement (a temporary state of forgiveness) ; but thank to the Blood of Jesus Christ that washes us white as snow for the remission (complete payment of debt) we are no longer held accountable
For the sin. Thank you Jesus for Your blood!!!

  19. Lev.5:1 And if a soul sin, and hear the voice of swearing, and is a witness, whether he hath seen or known of it ; if he do not utter it, then he shall bear his iniquity.

Proverbs 29:24 Whoso is partner with a thief hateth his own soul : he heareth cursing, and bewrayeth it not.

  20. Lord, please forgive for any sins or wrongs. That I may have committed and not realized it was s sin. Bring those things to light so that I can repent and make them right. Help me to turn away from those wrongs in the future.

  21. Lev. 5:5, “And it shall be, when he shall be guilty in one of these things, that he shall confess that he hath sinned in that thing.”

Confession is good for the soul.
Proverbs. 28:13, “He that covered his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.”
1 John 1:9, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
Psalms 32:5, “I acknowledged my sin unto thee, and mine iniquity have I not hid. I said, I will confess my transgressions unto the LORD; and thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin. Selah.”

Don’t try to hide it because you can’t anyway. JESUS knows and sees all things.
So Confess it and be Forgiven in Jesus name.

  22. 5 And it shall be, when he shall be guilty in one of these things, that he shall confess that he hath sinned in that thing:

Confess your faults to God and he will forgive! Repentance in your walk with God is so important, it is also important in soul winning, for if we do not have a repented heart and a strong walk with God, how are we going to bring someone else to Christ? We must repent everyday so no matter when we come across a hurting heart or a lost soul, we are repented and clean and able to bring them to God!!

  23. 9 And he shall sprinkle of the blood of the sin offering upon the side of the altar; and the rest of the blood shall be wrung out at the bottom of the altar: it is a sin offering.

Jesus became our ultimate sin offering. Now we offer him a daily sacrifice of our life to live however he wants us to live. He gave everything it seems that whatever He would ask us, would not amount anything compared to what He gave.

  24. 1 And if a soul sin, and hear the voice of swearing, and is a witness, whether he hath seen or known of it; if he do not utter it, then he shall bear his iniquity.

God knows when you have committed sin, therefore you being aware of it makes you guilty. If a commandment from God has been broken it’ll be yours to repent onto God and make it right with him by being sincere in your walk by repenting and turning away from it.

  26. Reading this chapter makes me thankful that when we miss up we can go to Jesus and ask his forgiveness and not have to bring goats, turtledoves, and etc. God is so forgiving when we as humans miss up. I do think that God gets upset with us when we keep doing the same sin and asking forgiveness. When we ask forgiveness for a sin we don’t keep doing that sin, God is a merciful God.

  27. And if a soul sin, and commit any of these things which are forbidden to be done by the commandments of the Lord; though he wist it not, yet is he guilty, and shall bear his iniquity.

We all make mistakes. This is why Jesus died for us. But we now have the opportunity to make things right with people and God. He is faithful and just to forgive us.

  28. 17 And if a soul sin, and commit any of these things which are forbidden to be done by the commandments of the Lord; though he wist it not, yet is he guilty, and shall bear his iniquity.

I love how God gives us an oporrunity to bring a sacrifice, What is my BEST offering? I don’t want to give just anything, I want to give my best. My two mites, God gave his BEST.

Lord help me to give my very best, help me to give with a glad, and Willing heart EVERY TIME, no matter my situation.

  29. 1“If you are called to testify about something you have seen or that you know about, it is sinful to refuse to testify, and you will be punished for your sin.

Today, so many would rather just turn the other way instead of testifying, especially if its against a friend or relative. It should not matter who you testify against, the bottom line is to tell the truth.

  30. 4 Or if a soul swear, pronouncing with his lips to do evil, or to do good, whatsoever it be that a man shall pronounce with an oath, and it be hid from him; when he knoweth of it, then he shall be guilty in one of these.

Let your yes mean yes and your no mean no, do not make promises that you cannot keep, whether you’re sure of it or not.

  31. Leviticus 5:17

17 “If anyone sins by breaking any of the commandments of GOD which must not be broken, but without being aware of it at the time, the moment he does realize his guilt he is held responsible.

    Numbers 32:23

23 But if ye will not do so, behold, ye have sinned against the Lord: and be sure your sin will find you out.

Every sin will be judged: either at the cross of at the judgment. When sin is discovered we should take it seriously because it reveals that God have mercy instead of sending judgment immediately.

    Thank God for his mercy.

  32. Some sins can go undetected. We may not have been paying enough attention either to our own behavior or the things around us. Even the most unthought of sins can effect us. Like viruses some sins can slip in and wreak havoc.vs 4 says “..even though they are unaware of it, but then they learn of it and realize their guilt” so once we realize what we have done to seek atonement.

  33. 17 And if a soul sin, and commit any of these things which are forbidden to be done by the commandments of the Lord; though he wist it not, yet is he guilty, and shall bear his iniquity.

There are some things we do in ignorance but the moment God opens our understanding it is the wise man that goes to make amends. He repents and changes his ways to make his life acceptable before God.

  34. God is a merciful God who will forgive us when we sin. However we can’t abuse His grace and continue to do the same sin we’ve already asked forgiveness for.

Thank you Jesus for your grace and love!

  35. Leviticus 5:14 The Lord said to Moses, When anyone is unfaithful to the Lord by sinning unintentionally in regard to any of the Lord’s holy things, they are to bring to the Lord as a penalty a ram from the flock, one without defect and of the proper value in silver according to the sanctuary shekel.it is a guilt offering. They must make restitution for what they have failed to do in regard to the Holy things, pay an additional penalty of faith of its value and give it all to the priest. The priest will make atonement for them with the ram ad a guilt offering and they will be forgiven.

I want to thank our Lord Jesus Christ that we no longer have to slaughter animals and go to the priest for our sins but we can come right to the throne of God and ask Jesus to forgive us.

  36. NTL) 17 suppose you sin by violating one of the Lord commands even if you are unaware of what you have done you are guilty and will be punished for you sin

In my 19 year of life I have learned that there will always be consequence of what we do in life rather it is good or bad you can never get around you wrong because God is always watch and he said that we will be punished for our sin
I thank god that he is a forgiveIng god and his mercy is forever
I thank God that when I sin that I can come to him and ask for forgiveness and he will forgive me

  37. “But if he cannot afford”. The Lord (Jesus) made it affordable for all. The Lord made it possible for them and even more so today, as he has paid the price for all. Dear God, let us (me) be mindful of your sacrifice; “In God we (I) trust”. “One Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all”. May God Bless America, Israel, Jerusalem, and you all in Jesus name, Amen!

  38. “And if a soul sin, and commit any of these things which are forbidden to be done by the commandments of the Lord; though he wist it not, yet is he guilty, and shall bear his iniquity.” They were to take care of it, when they became aware. If we truly want to help others we will pray for their sight, just as we should want them to do for us. God help us all to see, in Jesus name.

  39. God will give instructions unto his leaders. They will give the instructions unto God’s people. Don’t deny what your leader is saying because they are getting their direction from God. A true leader will hear the word of God and will not turn around and sugar coat it for the people of God. They will give what thus saith the Lord. Be glad for a man of God that cares enough about your soul to give you the truth.

  40. “If you are called to testify about something you have seen or that you know about, it is sinful to refuse to testify, and you will be punished for your sin.
    Leviticus 5:1 NLT

This verse really should make us think, we are called tp testify and be witnesses of the Lord so when we dont speak to our neighbor or the lady in the supermarket or even our co worker the scripture says its a sin. We should all quickly ask for forgiveness and speak what the Lord has done.

  41. 5 And it shall be, when he shall be guilty in one of these things, that he shall confess that he hath sinned in that thing:

6 And he shall bring his trespass offering unto the Lord for his sin which he hath sinned, a female from the flock, a lamb or a kid of the goats, for a sin offering; and the priest shall make an atonement for him concerning his sin.

  42. The law was hard. The Lord said, “He came to accomplished the law. Now we have the law in our hearts; when we received the Holy Ghost, because His Spirit lead us to the true ( his word).

  43. 5 And it shall be, when he shall be guilty in one of these things, that he shall confess that he hath sinned in that thing:

There is nothing gained from hiding a wrong or sin. If one may fall it ia best to hurry and repent and get things right with God. He knows what you jave done already. What God is asking from us is to acknowledge by admittting confessing we have wronged and then make it right. Before it was required other types of sacrifice now but the Lord was the ultimate sacrifice that paid the price in blood. All we have to do is confess…repent of our sin. Get up and keep walking in a path of righteousness.

  44. Vs15
God spoke to Moses: “When a person betrays his trust and unknowingly sins by straying against any of the holy things ofGod, he is to bring as his penalty to God a ram without any defect from the flock, the value of the ram assessed in shekels, according to the Sanctuary shekel for a Compensation-Offering. He is to make additional compensation for the sin he has committed against any holy thing by adding twenty percent to the ram and giving it to the priest. “Thus the priest will make atonement for him with the ram of the Compensation-Offering and he’s forgiven. MSG
I pray to God that we will repent of our sins that we committ everyday but with a sincere heart! We want God to except what we offer him.

  45. 4 Or if a soul swear, pronouncing with his lips to do evil, or to do good, whatsoever it be that a man shall pronounce with an oath, and it be hid from him; when he knoweth of it, then he shall be guilty in one of these.

5 And it shall be, when he shall be guilty in one of these things, that he shall confess that he hath sinned in that thing.
Confess that you hath sinned is the best thing to do and the right thing.

  46. 17 And if a soul sin, and commit any of these things which are forbidden to be done by the commandments of the Lord; though he wist it not, yet is he guilty, and shall bear his iniquity.
this verse clearly tells me why it’s important when we repent not just to ask for forgiveness for things that we know of but you clearly asked for forgiveness for the things that we don’t know that we did wrong or even for the sin of omission simply not doing right when we know better. We can see that in the eyes of God it mattered regardless of whether the person realize it or not if they said they would be held guilty the only way to overcome that today is to repent for things we know we have done and things we do not know we have done wrong.

  47. 19 It is a trespass offering: he hath certainly trespassed against the Lord.

Oh Jesus free me from trespassing against you Jesus!!! I never want to forgot the first time you let me see revelation on how I was living a big lie my while life by not living by His Word Thank you for letting me see the truth and being able to know you Jesus.

  48. God knows where we are and what we are able to give. God commanded a certain sacrifice for each sin, but made provision for those who could not make those sacrifices. The people were not able to choose which sacrifice to bring, they brought according to their ability.

  49. What I got out of this chapter that popped out to me is that when you’ve done something wrong admit it, don’t hide. God see’s all

  50. Most of us know when we have sinned right away, all we have to do is just ask Jesus to forgive us of our sin immediately, that way we’re not back logged on all these sins and go one by one and ask to be forgiven of this and that and this and that…if you just stay prayed up continuously seeking God’s word then there will be less room for foul ups and when you do sin don’t continue to do the same thing over again or it becomes meaningless to God when you ask to be forgiven.
Thank you Jesus for your grace and mercy, thank you for never giving up on me and always believing and seeing something in me that I never could see.
    I love you Jesus!!!!

5-6 “When you are guilty, immediately confess the sin that you’ve committed and bring as your penalty to God for the sin you have committed a female lamb or goat from the flock for an Absolution-Offering.

“In this way, the priest will make atonement for your sin.
17-18 “If anyone sins by breaking any of the commandments of God which must not be broken, but without being aware of it at the time, the moment he does realize his guilt he is held responsible. He is to bring to the priest a ram without any defect, assessed at the value of the Compensation-Offering.

18-19 “Thus the priest will make atonement for him for his error that he was unaware of and he’s forgiven. It is a Compensation-Offering; he was surely guilty before God.”

  51. We understand just how underserved is HIS gift of salvation. HIS WORD lets us know that GOD did not wait until we were loveable before HE LOVED us.
HE loved us while we were yet sinners Romans 5:8

We did not deserve the wondrous gift of salvation, the best that we can do is live with thanksgiving in our hearts ,give HIM WORSHIP, PRAISE,and serve
because HE paid the debt we could not pay.

  52. 1 And if a soul sin, and hear the voice of swearing, and is a witness, whether he hath seen or known of it; if he do not utter it, then he shall bear his iniquity.
2 Or if a soul touch any unclean thing, whether it be a carcase of an unclean beast, or a carcase of unclean cattle, or the carcase of unclean creeping things, and if it be hidden from him; he also shall be unclean, and guilty.

We live in an unclean world and on occasion hear and see things that are sin. I’m reminded of Bro David Smith’s prayer he always teaches and that is asking the Lord to forgive us of things we have seen or heard or done. Since we are not always around Holy Ghost filled people every day or for an entire day and are around the unsaved, we must ask forgiveness daily of all these things.

  53. Exodus 6:24 The Lord said to Moses say to Aaron and his sons. These are the regulations for the sin offering the sin offering is to be slaughtered before the Lord in the place the burnt offering is slaughtered it is most holy. The priest who offers it to shall eat it, it is to be eaten in the sanctuary area in the courtyard of the tent of meeting. what ever touches any of the flesh will become holy and if any of the blood splattered on the garment you must wash it in the sanctuary area. The claypot the meat is cooked in must be broken but if it is cooked in a bronze pot the part is to be scoured and rinse with water. Any male in a priest family may eat it it is most holy. But any sin offering whose blood is brought into the tent of the meeting to make an atonement in the Holy Place must be eaten it must be burned up.

  54. 5 And it shall be, when he shall be guilty in one of these things, that he shall confess that he hath sinned in that thing:

6 And he shall bring his trespass offering unto the Lord for his sin which he hath sinned, a female from the flock, a lamb or a kid of the goats, for a sin offering; and the priest shall make an atonement for him concerning his sin.

  55. The people who unknowingly sin, still have sin and thus must do something to “pay” for their sins. This is a hard thing to think about. How would they fix what they don’t realize is wrong. In this case hey would need to be like Job who sent sacrifices just in case. Today it is easier if someone knows Jesus. His blood covers and washes if we apply the name correctly to our lives. Yes we might still have the unknown things wrong, but the blood of JeSus covers all our sins.

  56. “‘Or if a person swears, speaking thoughtlessly with his lips to do evil or to do good, whatever it is that a man may pronounce by an oath, and he is unaware of it—when he realizes it, then he shall be guilty in any of these matters.”(Leviticus‬ ‭5:4‬ ‭NKJV)

The meaning is, Whosoever shall, in a passion or otherwise, make an oath to do a person an injury, or to do him a kindness, and afterward, forgetting his oath, shall fail in the performance, so soon as he recollects himself he shall make atonement for his offence. In the case of threatening private revenge, or to do evil in any other way, the oath ought to be recalled, as being a thing in itself unlawful. !! In Jesus name !!!!

  57. Leviticus 5:15-16
If a soul commit a trespass, and sin through ignorance, in the holy things of the Lord; then he shall bring for his trespass unto the Lord a ram without blemish out of the flocks, with thy estimation by shekels of silver, after the shekel of the sanctuary, for a trespass offering.

16 And he shall make amends for the harm that he hath done in the holy thing, and shall add the fifth part thereto, and give it unto the priest: and the priest shall make an atonement for him with the ram of the trespass offering, and it shall be forgiven him.
