Leviticus 24

1 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,

2 Command the children of Israel, that they bring unto thee pure oil olive beaten for the light, to cause the lamps to burn continually.

3 Without the vail of the testimony, in the tabernacle of the congregation, shall Aaron order it from the evening unto the morning before the Lord continually: it shall be a statute for ever in your generations.

4 He shall order the lamps upon the pure candlestick before the Lord continually.

5 And thou shalt take fine flour, and bake twelve cakes thereof: two tenth deals shall be in one cake.

6 And thou shalt set them in two rows, six on a row, upon the pure table before the Lord.

7 And thou shalt put pure frankincense upon each row, that it may be on the bread for a memorial, even an offering made by fire unto the Lord.

8 Every sabbath he shall set it in order before the Lord continually, being taken from the children of Israel by an everlasting covenant.

9 And it shall be Aaron’s and his sons’; and they shall eat it in the holy place: for it is most holy unto him of the offerings of the Lord made by fire by a perpetual statute.

10 And the son of an Israelitish woman, whose father was an Egyptian, went out among the children of Israel: and this son of the Israelitish woman and a man of Israel strove together in the camp;

11 And the Israelitish woman’s son blasphemed the name of the Lord, and cursed. And they brought him unto Moses: (and his mother’s name was Shelomith, the daughter of Dibri, of the tribe of Dan:)

12 And they put him in ward, that the mind of the Lord might be shewed them.

13 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,

14 Bring forth him that hath cursed without the camp; and let all that heard him lay their hands upon his head, and let all the congregation stone him.

15 And thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel, saying, Whosoever curseth his God shall bear his sin.

16 And he that blasphemeth the name of the Lord, he shall surely be put to death, and all the congregation shall certainly stone him: as well the stranger, as he that is born in the land, when he blasphemeth the name of the Lord, shall be put to death.

17 And he that killeth any man shall surely be put to death.

18 And he that killeth a beast shall make it good; beast for beast.

19 And if a man cause a blemish in his neighbour; as he hath done, so shall it be done to him;

20 Breach for breach, eye for eye, tooth for tooth: as he hath caused a blemish in a man, so shall it be done to him again.

21 And he that killeth a beast, he shall restore it: and he that killeth a man, he shall be put to death.

22 Ye shall have one manner of law, as well for the stranger, as for one of your own country: for I am the Lord your God.

23 And Moses spake to the children of Israel, that they should bring forth him that had cursed out of the camp, and stone him with stones. And the children of Israel did as the Lord commanded Moses.

  1. iLove to Grow in the Word

2 Command the children of Israel, that they bring unto thee pure oil olive beaten for the light, to cause the lamps to burn continually.

Jesus declared Himself to be The Light of the World. In order for the Light to shine throughout the entire world, He was beaten to a bloody pulp and the oil (Holy Ghost) was then allowed to fill vessels with pure oil. Jesus is still the Light of the World, and the eternal fire of the Holy Ghost burns in our hearts for all nations to see.

  2. God’s O.T. people gathered for worship. Here attention is focused on the Lord himself a theme developed in the subsequent mention of perpetual offerings and underlined by.the death penalty inflicted when a young man blasphemed and used God’s name.in a.curse .
    How good to.join.others in.worship.
Worship is partly expressed in church but mainly in the way.we live our daily.lives.

  3. Kill It!

    2 Corinthian 10:5
    Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

This man was a child of a Egyptian and Israelitish. Stuck between two opinions not knowing that his words were about to kill him.

How often as children of the light, do we find ourselves between two opinions knowing which is wrong but allow ourselves to dwell on the dark thoughts that go against the God we serve? When all the while God has given us the tools to overcome our thoughts and speak life.

Thanks be to God that the church will not take us out to stone us but has taught us to “cast down every imagination” meaning get it out of your mind and stomp on it; kill it!

We must understand the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but of the spirit. We cannot fight bad thoughts by condemning ourselves or thinking more bad thoughts but overcome evil with God. Kill the thought and then… “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.” -Phillipines 4:8

    So what went wrong?
    1. The man was born of two kingdoms and had the thinking and ways of both kingdoms inside of him. We must choose who we will serve.

    2. He traveled with Isreal but his heart was in Egypt. We cannot be lukewarm but chase after God and Him alone.

    3. He did not kill his thoughts before they became his heart and eventually his words. You say you will never blasphem against God but the seed of blasphemy is 1 evil thought that was never killed. So it took root and slowly killed you from the inside out.

  4. 16 And he that blasphemeth the name of the Lord, he shall surely be put to death, and all the congregation shall certainly stone him: as well the stranger, as he that is born in the land, when he blasphemeth the name of the Lord, shall be put to death.

For the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Thank you Jesus that we don’t have to kill as they did in the bible times. That we can find forgiveness and grace in you.

  5. lev.24.15.nlt Say to the people of Israel: Those who curse their God will be punished for their sin.

I said i hate you. You said you loved me.
I stabbed you in the back. You turned and hugged me.

Thank you for your grace and forgiveness. Your everlasting. Your mercy endures forever.

  6. 10 And the son of an Israelitish woman, whose father was an Egyptian, went out among the children of Israel: and this son of the Israelitish woman and a man of Israel strove together in the camp;

    Joshua 24:15 (KJV)
15 And if it seem evil unto you to serve theLord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.

    THE CHOICE HAS BEEN MADE!
But, Just like the Son of the israelitish woman had a choice to make and obviously made the wrong one, we too have had plenty of time to make a choice and THANK GOD FOR MERCY!!!
YOU CAN RUN BUT YOU CAN’T HIDE!!!
    HALELUJAH!!!

  7. Leviticus 24:17
And he that killeth any man shall surely be put to death.

No one else should kill anyone because that is a sin. Grow with Jesus Amen

  8. 10. And the son of an Israelitish woman, whose father was an Egyptian, went out among the children of Israel: and this son of the Israelitish woman and a man of Israel strove together in the camp;

    11. And the Israelitish woman’s son blasphemed the name of the Lord, and cursed. And they brought him unto Moses: (and his mother’s name was Shelomith, the daughter of Dibri, of the tribe of Dan:)

With the mother being an Israelite and the father an Egyptian, there was confusion and division in the home that revealed itself in the son. When we don’t obey God’s laws, there is no unity and it not only affects those that disobeyed, but continues to wreak havoc in the next generation.

    2 Corinthians 6:14
Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?

  9. NO BURNOUT

2 Command the children of Israel, that they bring unto thee pure oil olive beaten for the light, to cause the lamps to burn continually.

40 Days of PASSION is in the final stretch and we are beginning to experience the LOVE and MERCY of GOD in a unique way. Hearts are being Revived, Spirits are uplifted, Prayers are offered and answered and the Church is about to GROW like never before.

If our spirits and souls have been revived, we must initiate a plan to not lose our PASSION. The LORD commanded that we bring PURE OIL, not contaminated by sin or self-will.

We are the OIL that will maintain the PASSION or FIRE of the Lamps that they will burn continually. We must allow our will to be beaten down to the place of a crushing. Crushing of our pride and our selfish will, so that the will of GOD may be accomplished in our lives.

Through daily refreshing in the Holy Ghost we can, BURN inside and out for our LORD JESUS. Never tired of serving, never tired of worshipping, never tired of loving. It is the will of GOD that we BURN for GOD in PASSION for HIS Kingdom and love JESUS with NO BURNOUT.

    iRepent
    iPraise
    iPray
    iWork
    iGive
    iReap

  10. 1 The Lord said to Moses,
2 “Command the people of Israel to bring you pure oil of pressed olives for the light, to keep the lamps burning continually. (NLT)

Is your fire continually burning in the Lord’s presence? We might say oh well at church yeah, but what about during the week at our jobs and schools? Jesus is omnipresent and He is always with us – meaning our fire and passion for Him should be continually burning and evident for others to see and catch!

  11. 2 Command the children of Israel, that they bring unto thee pure oil olive beaten for the light, to cause the lamps to burn continually.

The Hebrew Word for that word light is “ówr” and it means “to be or become light, shine”

The word burn there is “`alah” and it means “to go up, ascend, climb” one of the definitions even goes as far as to say “to spring up, grow, shoot forth (of vegetation)”

We know that the oil is for annointing and you can’t get the oil without crushing. The purpose of the beating or the crushing is FOR THE LIGHT. Which when you put the definition of ówr into context then we can say that the purpose of the crushing is TO BECOME LIGHT.

But the purpose of becoming light is to “cause the lamps to burn continually”

To me that is saying that us, as the light, are not just purposed to be the light but with that as the light we are to go up, to assend, and to climb. We are crushed and made to become light so that we can assend to a place of springing up, growing, and shooting forth!

THAT SOUNDS ALOT LIKE BURSTING FORTH TO ME! the extended part of that definition of that definition is (of vegetation)

We are COMMANDED to become light, and it is then that we will live a life that is pleasing to the Lord and will burst fourth into fruitfulness! !!

Thank you Jesus for your word is always confirming and supporting itself. You are and almighty, all knowing God and I praise you for it!

  12. Prov 2:1-5
Good friend, take to heart what I’m telling you; collect my counsels and guard them with your life. Tune your ears to the world of Wisdom; set your hearts on a life of Understanding. That’s right – if you make Insight your priority, and won’t take no for an answer, Searching for it like a prospector panning for gold, like an adventurer on a treasure hunt, Believe me, before you know it Fear-of-God will be yours; you’ll have come upon the Knowledge of God.

All the levels of maturity and learning are displayed in this group of verses; Insight, understanding, knowledge and wisdom. According to the dictionary, to understand is a mental process of a person who comprehends, to perceive the meaning of or grasp the idea. Knowledge is defined as an acquaintance with facts, truths or principles. Wisdom; the ability to think and act utilizing knowledge, experience, understanding, common sense and insight.

What a great way to start the day!!

  13. Command the children of Israel, that they bring unto thee pure oil olive beaten for the light, to cause the lamps to burn continually. (‭Leviticus‬ ‭24‬:‭2‬ KJV)

Reminds me of the time preached about this. Many times we as individuals or as a body in CHRIST we go through much ‘beaten’, sickness, loved ones leaving what is known to be truth, divorce, ect. We must understand that through the process of living life, through your storms, will cause the olive to be be beaten continually in order for that oil to come forth. Yes, it’s easy to throw in the towel and walk away form God,but the word of GOD says those who endure until the end shall be saved.
JESUS went through so much and endured so that we can come to Him and find a hope of eternal life. He is that light, and it is in us.

Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.

Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. (‭Matthew‬ ‭5‬:‭14, 16‬ KJV)

  14. 16 And he that blasphemeth the name of the Lord, he shall surely be put to death, and all the congregation shall certainly stone him: as well the stranger, as he that is born in the land, when he blasphemeth the name of the Lord, shall be put to death.

Thank God for He’s mercy and grace!
That He’s blood washed away all our sins!
We are a blessed generation to not have to stone our peers.

  15. 2 Command the children of Israel, that they bring unto thee pure oil olive beaten for the light, to cause the lamps to burn continually.

It was customary for the lamps to be filled with pure oil twice a day, more and night. The lamp was never to go out.

We are the light of the world. We must keep the oil (spirit) of God in us continually, refueling it daily through our prayer/praise to the Lord, so that the light within us never goes out.

We are to spread the gospel, allow the light to burn in us and through us so that others see that light and be led to the gospel as well.

Reminds me of an old song by Dallas Holms:
Let my light shine in the night time, Let it shine all day through,
Let it shine – shine for Jesus, May it shine, shine on you.

I was walking along in the darkness, I didn’t know which way to go,
Then the Lord, He turned the light on, Changed my life, saved my soul.

So my light shine in the night time, Let it shine all day through,
Let it shine – shine for Jesus, May it shine, shine on you.

Now I live for just one purpose, Let the Lord shine through me,
‘Cause if His love can shine on others,
Then His Spirit will set ’em free

  16. 22 Ye shall have one manner of law, as well for the stranger, as for one of your own country: for I am the Lord your God.

23 And Moses spake to the children of Israel, that they should bring forth him that had cursed out of the camp, and stone him with stones. And the children of Israel did as the Lord commanded Moses.

GOD is the Lord our God, and he is to be respected, Honord, Worshipped, revranced, not blaspheme and disrespected like he didn’t just bring you out of egypt, part a sea so you can get to the other side and not die! Thank you Jesus we have Grace and Mercy and don’t have to get stoned, or put out the camp, we are Granted a chance of repentance…if we don’t repent, we can never say we don’t ever have a chance, because we do everyday. THANK YOU JESUS FOR REPENTANCE! GROW UP NORA!

  17. Be Intentional

23 And Moses spake to the children of Israel, that they should bring forth him that had cursed out of the camp, and stone him with stones. And the children of Israel did as the Lord commanded Moses.

I have been accused of many things! Speaking boldly and
To the point. For that I apologize; but we are running out of time and I prefer to be bold and to the point than to have to answer to God for someone else. We MUST be INTENTIONAL & DETERMINE, and be about our Father’s business. Be intentional in your outreach and be determined when you speak. Be intentional in your praise and determine in your worship. Be intentional in your prayer (do not wait until you go home to pray, pray everywhere and without ceasing). Be determined in your testimony!!! Wake up with the goal of speaking of His Greatness all day long, show His Joy at all times, and your determination will speak for itself!!!! Lord help us to always be intentional and determine in our walk with You. In Jesus Name AMEN

  18. 10. And the son of an Israelitish woman, whose father was an Egyptian, went out among the children of Israel: and this son of the Israelitish woman and a man of Israel strove together in the camp;

  19. 3 This is the lamp stand that stands in the Tabernacle, in front of the inner curtain that shields the Ark of the Covenant.a Aaron must keep the lamps burning in the LORD’s presence all night. This is a permanent law for you, and it must be observed from generation to generation.

We should always be a reflection of Jesus, let others see the light burn inside of you. Others can tell if your light is burning or not. Our actions and good deeds should be noticed, as Christians we are the light of this world.

Mathew 5:14“You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. 15 No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. 16 In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father.

  20. Leviticus 23: 13 Then the Lord said to Moses take the blasphemer outside the camp. All those who heard him or to lay their hands on his head and the entire assembly is to stone him. Say to the Israelites anyone who curses there God will be held responsible anyone who blasphemes the name of the Lord is to be put to death. The entire assembling must stone them. Weather foreignet or native born when they blsspheme the Name they are to be put to death.

  21. 2 Command the children of Israel, that they bring unto thee pure oil olive beaten for the light, to cause the lamps to burn continually.

To cause the lamp to burn continually…to not let the fire go out…to not let that fire shut up in our bones grow cold…to not let the passion within us die.

  22. “Command the people of Israel to bring you pure oil of pressed olives for the light, to keep the lamps burning continually.
    Leviticus 24:2 NLT
    http://bible.com/116/lev.24.2.NLT

We must have a contunial flow of oil to have a continual flow of light/fire. May this be applied into our lives that we continue to burn brightly giving light all around this world.

  23. 5 And thou shalt take fine flour, and bake twelve cakes thereof: two tenth deals shall be in one cake.
6 And thou shalt set them in two rows, six on a row, upon the pure table before the Lord.
7 And thou shalt put pure frankincense upon each row, that it may be on the bread for a memorial, even an offering made by fire unto the Lord.

I researched a little and found that pure frankincense had many health benefits-if you use the pure resin(sap) in small amounts like they did on the shewbread. Frankincense has anti-inflamitory properties which can aid joint pain and can also promote better digestion. The oils promote calming and stress relief, among other uses. We don’t understand all its benefits or side effects to use it safely today – but God’s specific instructions for its use in the Tabernacle came with health benefits for the priests. So, no matter what it tasted like (bitter, pungent), they obeyed God and received health spiritually and naturally.

  24. “Command the people of Israel to bring you pure oil of pressed olives for the light, to keep the lamps burning continually.
    Leviticus 24:2 NLT
    http://bible.com/116/lev.24.2.NLT

In order for us to shine as the light for Christ it takes purity, meaning holiness and purity will hurt because it has to be crushed out of us. We have to crush out all our carnal thoughts, desires and attitudes. Making holiness our life style will cause the fire 🔥 to burn constantly.

  25. (vs 19&20) The OT is not teaching that we need to get even when we have been misused, or hurt by other people of God. God does not In the NT Jesus says to LOVE your enemies: Matt 5: 38-48 and FORGIVE them: Mark 11:25. The church will have disagreements and disputes as Jesus says offenses will come and Paul shows the right way to handle them.

Euodia and Syntyche were two women who are mentioned briefly in the book of Philippians. (4:2) They were members of the church in Philippi and, as Paul described them, they were loyal believers who had fought along with him for the cause of the gospel. Their names are in the book of life for they believed in Christ. But somewhere along the way they lost their focus. In his letter to Philippi, Paul pleaded with them to agree with each other.
Euodia and Syntyche’s dispute may have caused contention among other believers in Philippi. That often happens in a close knit church. Friends are apt to take sides resulting in hurt feelings and anxiety. The whole church may have begun to lose its unity because of choosing sides. Throughout his letter to Philippi, Paul pleaded for unity. Philippians is filled with phrases such as “stand firm in one spirit, and contending as one man.” 1:27 Paul beseeches the believers there to make his joy complete by being “like-minded, having the same love,” and being “one in spirit and purpose. 2:2

In Philippians 2:14-16 Paul urges the assembly to be different, to stand out, from those who do not know Christ. Christians are to emulate Jesus, being humble and obedient to the Father. We are to shine like stars in the darkness as we offer the Good News of Christ. When we are arguing among ourselves, we don’t shine. We look just like everyone else in a darkened world.

Paul asked other members of the church at Philippi to help Euodia and Syntyche to resolve their differences and restore unity in the church. It is the responsibility of the members of the family of Christ to help resolve such situations with peaceful solutions – not to take sides or add fuel to the fire.It is important to remember that the world watches Christians. We may be the only bit of Jesus that some will ever see. Disputes will arise but we must not dim the light of the gospel by fighting among ourselves. Let’s remember Paul’s words in Colossians 3:13 & 14. Bear with each other. Forgive grievances. Forgive as the Lord forgave us. As members of one body, we are called to peace.

  26. Lev. 24:22, “Ye shall have one manner of law, as well for the stranger, as for one of your own country: for I am the LORD your God ”

God is no respecter of persons. The same rules apply for all mankind.
If people sin – The wages of sin is death.
If people live for God – Then the gift of God is eternal life.

Romans 6:23, “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

  27. 20 Breach for breach, eye for eye, tooth for tooth: as he hath caused a blemish in a man, so shall it be done to him again.
I’m very thankful that we no longer live in this dispensation. I’m grateful for the mercy of God that came to us through the death burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Back in those days if you made any mistakes you have to pay an eye for an eye but now thank God for His mercy!

  28. 2 Command the children of Israel, that they bring unto thee pure oil olive beaten for the light, to cause the lamps to burn continually.

God you are the light of the world, I pray that you give me some of your light so I can shine and show other people that don’t know you what you can do in their lives!!

  29. 15 And thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel, saying, Whosoever curseth his God shall bear his sin.

16 And he that blasphemeth the name of the Lord, he shall surely be put to death, and all the congregation shall certainly stone him: as well the stranger, as he that is born in the land, when he blasphemeth the name of the Lord, shall be put to death.

Cursing God is extreme , still shows us how seriously God expects us to make our relationship with him . Often we use his name and swearing, or act as though he doesn’t exist. We should be careful on how we speak and act, threatening God with reverence. Eventually he will have the last word.

  30. 19 And if a man cause a blemish in his neighbour; as he hath done, so shall it be done to him;

20 Breach for breach, eye for eye, tooth for tooth: as he hath caused a blemish in a man, so shall it be done to him again.

21 And he that killeth a beast, he shall restore it: and he that killeth a man, he shall be put to death.
It is very simple their are consequences for every decision that you make. Treat others the way you want to be treated.

Be not deceived; God is not mocked: whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. Galations 6:7

  31. 15And thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel saying whosoever curseth his god shall bear his sin 16)and he that blasphemeth the name of the Lord he shall surely be put to death and all well stranger as he that is born in the land when he blasphemeth the name of the Lord shall be put to death

  32. Leviticus 24:17-20

17 And he that killeth any man shall surely be put to death.

18 And he that killeth a beast shall make it good; beast for beast.

    19 And if a man cause a blemish in his neighbour; as he hath done, so shall it be done to him;

20 Breach for breach, eye for eye, tooth for tooth: as he hath caused a blemish in a man, so shall it be done to him again.

    Matthew 22:39-40

39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

Love is the cure. Love is the prevention. God is love. The people of God were told that whatever someone does to you that they can do the same back.

However love says forgive. Love says forget. Love prevents the act in the first place. And if it happens it was an accident.

The law said take the eye of your eye is taken. Yet love says I will forgo your punishment and give you a second chance.

  33. 2 Command the children of Israel, that they bring unto thee pure oil olive beaten for the light, to cause the lamps to burn continually.

We are a continual light for this world. The Word says that we are the light of the world. It says that we are a light set on a hill. We are an epistle read of everyone.

Wherever we go, whatever we do, we are seen by everyone around us, and we might just be the only Jesus that they see.

  34. Thank God for his grace & the blood of Jesus Christ, with the New Covenant. Because, look what could happen even for the multitude of curses or sin being conducted today. People take his name in vein all the time, but in hopes of salvation, and his grace people a spared today. God doesn’t like blasphemeth either, nor the murdering of people either. See how it could be today! But, THANK GOD, for the blood of his Son Jesus Christ with the New Covenant. God can get ANGRY too………………

Punishment then was death for blasphemeth & murder, but it is a constant occurance today! Please notice both offenses has the same outcome or punishment “DEATH”………”Still not acceptable today by God, but there is repentance with change”……..NEW COVENANT……………..

  35. We must watch what we sayand do. God is always looking as well as others. Our actions most of the time don’t just affect us, they affect others as well.

  36. 23 And Moses spake to the children of Israel, that they should bring forth him that had cursed out of the camp, and stone him with stones. And the children of Israel did as the Lord commanded Moses.

Watch what you say, we are the vessels that others need to grow the kingdom. Or words should be things that Christ only speaks….. We represent or Lord Father Savior, which means we are His children. I would hate for my children to misrepresent me so like the Lord, He gives us a will but we follow His commands!!!!! Jesus is amazing, there are not enough words to describe how great, merciful, big, mighty, powerful, omnipotent, and much more. NOTHING IS TO HARD FOR MY GOD WHICH MEANS I CAN DO ALL THINGS THROUGH HIM!!!!!! HELP ME BE MORE LIKE YOU JESUS!!!!!

  37. v2 Command the children of Israel, that they bring unto thee pure oil Olive beaten for the light, to cause the lamps to burn continually

So thankful that GODS’ SPIRIT Continues to empower us today

  38. 8 Every sabbath he shall set it in order before the Lord continually, being taken from the children of Israel by an everlasting covenant.

This is one of the things that this church does that impresses me. That for the whole month, every person that is to play an instrument, sing in the vocals, run the sound board, to the preacher, and platform minister have already been designated. We come early to church to pray, (which is not very common) and it is a continual occurrence, month after month, everyone is assigned and prepares themselves. This reminds me of one word: Excellence!

Excellence: the quality of being outstanding or extremely good:

    synonyms: distinction · quality · superiority · brilliance · greatness ·
    merit · caliber · eminence · preeminence · supremacy · skill · talent · virtuosity · accomplishment · mastery

Do all done by a people called, Children of God that have made an everlasting covenant.

What may Bishop calls: the “WOW” effect!

  39. “And he that blasphemeth the name of the Lord, he shall surely be put to death, and all the congregation shall certainly stone him: as well the stranger, as he that is born in the land, when he blasphemeth the name of the Lord, shall be put to death.” The word of God (Jesus) was very clear on how God (Creator) feels. One would be very wise to ask oneself, first, how God (Judge) sees it; for one could save oneself from regret, and so much more. Dear God, forgive us (me) for any/all times that we (I) have displeased you, and thank you for your blood. May God Bless America, Israel, Jerusalem, and you all in Jesus name, Amen!

  40. “Bring forth him that hath cursed without the camp; and let all that heard him lay their hands upon his head, and let all the congregation stone him.” The Lord required all that heard to take part, and he did not allow for any to abstain. If the Lord had let some not take part than it could have been perceived as acceptable, or possibly even lead too disunity. God help us to see no matter what there must be unity with your word, in Jesus name.

  41. 2 “Command the Israelites to bring you clear oil of pressed olives for the light so that the lamps may be kept burning continually.

What’s your fire burning on? I pray that my oil will be Gods word and a hunger for the lost souls! Let me constantly read your word and talk to someone new about you, let this be my fuel to have a burning fire!

  42. 2 Command the children of Israel, that they bring unto thee pure oil olive beaten for the light, to cause the lamps to burn continually.

This reminds me of pastors message of the anointing oil coming from the olives being crushed. If we are to be anointed then we will go through a crushing. To be anointed for the light, Jesus’ light. Jesus was beaten, he was also the only pure sacrifice. He was taken like a lamb to the slaughter to make a way for us to heaven and pour out his spirit upon us. We are the temple of the Holy Ghost and like the lamps of the past temple we should burn continuously

  43. Lev.24:16 And he that blasphemeth the name of the Lord, he shall surely be put to death, and all the congreat iongregation shall certainly stone him: as well the stranger, as he that is born in the land, when he blasphemeth the name of the Lord, shall be put to death.

Matthew 12:31 Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.

  44. “And he that blasphemeth the name of the Lord, he shall surely be put to death, and all the congregation shall certainly stone him: as well the stranger, as he that is born in the land, when he blasphemeth the name of the Lord, shall be put to death.”
    ‭‭Leviticus‬ ‭24:16‬ ‭KJV‬‬

This scripture is not just for those who know the word. It is also for those evil as well as the just.

  45. We are always being watched by those around us including God. We are held accountable by God in what we say and what we do. Let’s be a good witness for the Lord in everything we do, say, and think.

  46. Judgement is the Lords

20 Breach for breach, eye for eye, tooth for tooth: as he hath caused a blemish in a man, so shall it be done to him again.

In the Old Testiment God would use man to judge man. We realize through Jesus Chriat that man could not handle that responsibility because God took that from us in the New Testiment.

    • Romans 12:

19 Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.

The law didn’t change as Jesus declared.

      Matthew 5:
17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.

The judgement is now mediated by his blood.

      1Timothy 2:
      5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;

The judgement is held back now till the end but because of our Savior the sun is not remembered.

      Psalms 103:

12 As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.

The law is still the same. We just have a lawyer that doesn’t lose.

  47. 23 And Moses spake to the children of Israel, that they should bring forth him that had cursed out of the camp, and stone him with stones. And the children of Israel did as the Lord commanded Moses.

Moses did what the Lord asked him to do and the Israelites listened. There is always consequences when we don’t follow directions.

  48. Verses 1-4 NIV “The Lord said to Moses, “Command the Israelites to bring you clear oil of pressed olives for the light so that the lamps may be kept burning continually. Outside the curtain that shields the ark of the covenant law in the tent of meeting, Aaron is to tend the lamps before the Lord from evening till morning, continually. This is to be a lasting ordinance for the generations to come. The lamps on the pure gold lampstand before the Lord must be tended continually.” Our passion/light must be kept burning continually. The end of these verses says that in order for that to happen it needs to be tended (to be disposed or inclined in action, operation, or effect to do something) to continually.

  49. 19 And if a man cause a blemish in his neighbour; as he hath done, so shall it be done to him;

20 Breach for breach, eye for eye, tooth for tooth: as he hath caused a blemish in a man, so shall it be done to him again.

What an amazing life we have. Think about these verses. The word says that no man with blemish shall enter into the gates of heaven. When I think about where I was to where I am now. There was no way I would have been prepared to go with God. Is there still work to be done, oh yes. God is still working in me to bring me to his readiness. We all have things that if brought before the Lord now would probably not enter into the gates of heaven. So I know for me that it is my daily walk with God that still needs to get stronger and it does day by day. So I focus always on God and his word. We do serve an awesome God that loves and protects us every minute of our lives. As we get stronger the enemy gets weaker, cause he has no authority in our lives. Stop and think what if we were still under the old law. The smallest thing could have us put to death, but we all have hearts of forgiveness and compassion for those around us. That never can change, Christ is us and we in him……Have a blessed day..Amen!!

  50. 22 Ye shall have one manner of law, as well for the stranger, as for one of your own country: for I am the Lord your God.

  51. NLT 17) show your fear of God by not talking advantage of each other I am the Lord you god 18) if you want to live securely in the land follow my decrees and obey my regulation 19) then the land will yield large crops and you will eat your filled and live securely in it 20) but you might ask what will we eat during the seventh year since we are not allowed to plant or harvest crops that year 21)be assured that ok will send my blessings for you in the sixth year so the land will produce a crop large enough for three years. 22) when you plant your fields in eighth years you will still be eating from the large crops of the sixth year in fact you will still be eating from that large crops when the new crop is harvested in the ninth year

God will provide and bless us if we obey him

  52. LEVITICUS 24:3
Without the vail of the testimony, in the tabernacle of the congregation, shall Aaron order it from the evening unto the morning before the Lord continually: it shall be a statute for ever in your generations.

We must were our vail of Testimony all day long… not put away when we get put OF church. We represent God and actions speak louder that words.

  53. “Then the Lord spoke to Moses. He said, “Get the man who spoke evil things against me. Take him outside the camp. All those who heard him say those things must place their hands on his head. Then the whole community must kill him by throwing stones at him.”
    ‭‭Leviticus‬ ‭24:13-14‬ ‭

This chapter shows us that our words are very important. We must always speak positive.

  54. 16 And he that blasphemeth the name of the Lord, he shall surely be put to death, and all the congregation shall certainly stone him: as well the stranger, as he that is born in the land, when he blasphemeth the name of the Lord, shall be put to death.

Do not put the Lord’s name in vain, for it’s considered a sin to God
