Numbers 4

1 And the Lord spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying,

2 Take the sum of the sons of Kohath from among the sons of Levi, after their families, by the house of their fathers,

3 From thirty years old and upward even until fifty years old, all that enter into the host, to do the work in the tabernacle of the congregation.

4 This shall be the service of the sons of Kohath in the tabernacle of the congregation, about the most holy things:

5 And when the camp setteth forward, Aaron shall come, and his sons, and they shall take down the covering vail, and cover the ark of testimony with it:

6 And shall put thereon the covering of badgers’ skins, and shall spread over it a cloth wholly of blue, and shall put in the staves thereof.

7 And upon the table of shewbread they shall spread a cloth of blue, and put thereon the dishes, and the spoons, and the bowls, and covers to cover withal: and the continual bread shall be thereon:

8 And they shall spread upon them a cloth of scarlet, and cover the same with a covering of badgers’ skins, and shall put in the staves thereof.

9 And they shall take a cloth of blue, and cover the candlestick of the light, and his lamps, and his tongs, and his snuffdishes, and all the oil vessels thereof, wherewith they minister unto it:

10 And they shall put it and all the vessels thereof within a covering of badgers’ skins, and shall put it upon a bar.

11 And upon the golden altar they shall spread a cloth of blue, and cover it with a covering of badgers’ skins, and shall put to the staves thereof:

12 And they shall take all the instruments of ministry, wherewith they minister in the sanctuary, and put them in a cloth of blue, and cover them with a covering of badgers’ skins, and shall put them on a bar:

13 And they shall take away the ashes from the altar, and spread a purple cloth thereon:

14 And they shall put upon it all the vessels thereof, wherewith they minister about it, even the censers, the fleshhooks, and the shovels, and the basons, all the vessels of the altar; and they shall spread upon it a covering of badgers’ skins, and put to the staves of it.

15 And when Aaron and his sons have made an end of covering the sanctuary, and all the vessels of the sanctuary, as the camp is to set forward; after that, the sons of Kohath shall come to bear it: but they shall not touch any holy thing, lest they die. These things are the burden of the sons of Kohath in the tabernacle of the congregation.

16 And to the office of Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest pertaineth the oil for the light, and the sweet incense, and the daily meat offering, and the anointing oil, and the oversight of all the tabernacle, and of all that therein is, in the sanctuary, and in the vessels thereof.

17 And the Lord spake unto Moses and unto Aaron saying,

18 Cut ye not off the tribe of the families of the Kohathites from among the Levites:

19 But thus do unto them, that they may live, and not die, when they approach unto the most holy things: Aaron and his sons shall go in, and appoint them every one to his service and to his burden:

20 But they shall not go in to see when the holy things are covered, lest they die.

21 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,

22 Take also the sum of the sons of Gershon, throughout the houses of their fathers, by their families;

23 From thirty years old and upward until fifty years old shalt thou number them; all that enter in to perform the service, to do the work in the tabernacle of the congregation.

24 This is the service of the families of the Gershonites, to serve, and for burdens:

25 And they shall bear the curtains of the tabernacle, and the tabernacle of the congregation, his covering, and the covering of the badgers’ skins that is above upon it, and the hanging for the door of the tabernacle of the congregation,

26 And the hangings of the court, and the hanging for the door of the gate of the court, which is by the tabernacle and by the altar round about, and their cords, and all the instruments of their service, and all that is made for them: so shall they serve.

27 At the appointment of Aaron and his sons shall be all the service of the sons of the Gershonites, in all their burdens, and in all their service: and ye shall appoint unto them in charge all their burdens.

28 This is the service of the families of the sons of Gershon in the tabernacle of the congregation: and their charge shall be under the hand of Ithamar the son of Aaron the priest.

29 As for the sons of Merari, thou shalt number them after their families, by the house of their fathers;

30 From thirty years old and upward even unto fifty years old shalt thou number them, every one that entereth into the service, to do the work of the tabernacle of the congregation.

31 And this is the charge of their burden, according to all their service in the tabernacle of the congregation; the boards of the tabernacle, and the bars thereof, and the pillars thereof, and sockets thereof,

32 And the pillars of the court round about, and their sockets, and their pins, and their cords, with all their instruments, and with all their service: and by name ye shall reckon the instruments of the charge of their burden.

33 This is the service of the families of the sons of Merari, according to all their service, in the tabernacle of the congregation, under the hand of Ithamar the son of Aaron the priest.

34 And Moses and Aaron and the chief of the congregation numbered the sons of the Kohathites after their families, and after the house of their fathers,

35 From thirty years old and upward even unto fifty years old, every one that entereth into the service, for the work in the tabernacle of the congregation:

36 And those that were numbered of them by their families were two thousand seven hundred and fifty.

37 These were they that were numbered of the families of the Kohathites, all that might do service in the tabernacle of the congregation, which Moses and Aaron did number according to the commandment of the Lord by the hand of Moses.

38 And those that were numbered of the sons of Gershon, throughout their families, and by the house of their fathers,

39 From thirty years old and upward even unto fifty years old, every one that entereth into the service, for the work in the tabernacle of the congregation,

40 Even those that were numbered of them, throughout their families, by the house of their fathers, were two thousand and six hundred and thirty.

41 These are they that were numbered of the families of the sons of Gershon, of all that might do service in the tabernacle of the congregation, whom Moses and Aaron did number according to the commandment of the Lord.

42 And those that were numbered of the families of the sons of Merari, throughout their families, by the house of their fathers,

43 From thirty years old and upward even unto fifty years old, every one that entereth into the service, for the work in the tabernacle of the congregation,

44 Even those that were numbered of them after their families, were three thousand and two hundred.

45 These be those that were numbered of the families of the sons of Merari, whom Moses and Aaron numbered according to the word of the Lord by the hand of Moses.

46 All those that were numbered of the Levites, whom Moses and Aaron and the chief of Israel numbered, after their families, and after the house of their fathers,

47 From thirty years old and upward even unto fifty years old, every one that came to do the service of the ministry, and the service of the burden in the tabernacle of the congregation.

48 Even those that were numbered of them, were eight thousand and five hundred and fourscore,

49 According to the commandment of the Lord they were numbered by the hand of Moses, every one according to his service, and according to his burden: thus were they numbered of him, as the Lord commanded Moses.

  1. 15. And when Aaron and his sons have made an end of covering the sanctuary, and all the vessels of the sanctuary, as the camp is to set forward; after that, the sons of Kohath shall come to bear it: but they shall not touch any holy thing, lest they die. These things are the burden of the sons of Kohath in the tabernacle of the congregation.

The sanctuary and its vessels were to be shown such respect that they weren’t to be touched or even seen by those who were to carry them. I know that now we come boldly before the throne of Grace, but we still must show honor and respect to the sanctuary…the house of God looks different now, but the owner never changed.

  2. iLove to grow in the Word

“When their names were recorded, as the LORD had commanded through Moses, each man was assigned his task and told what to carry. And so the registration was completed, just as the LORD had commanded Moses.”
    ‭‭Numbers‬ ‭4:49‬ ‭NLT‬‬

It’s amazing to read this and think about the complexity of it all revolving around life and death instructions. When God gives a plan, we must adhere to it and not change it. The plan for salvation hasn’t changed and woe to those who change it.

  3. Verse 49 NLT “When their names were recorded, as the Lord had commanded through Moses, each man was assigned his task and told what to carry. And so the registration was completed, just as the Lord had commanded Moses.” Same verse NKJV “According to the commandment of the Lord they were numbered by the hand of Moses, each according to his service and according to his task; thus were they numbered by him, as the Lord commanded Moses.” This reminds me of what Pastor says that numbers do matter to the Lord. This chapter is specific in the tasks/duties of each clan/family. This spoke to me about how important it was for each of them to be obedient in their assigned task/duty. When we stop or try to pass the buck in doing something, it interrupts or can stunt the growth of said task/duty. We are one body that must work together in order to grow.

  4. Numbers 4:20
But they shall not go in to see when the holy things are covered lest they die.

Holy is the lamb of God we need Jesus every day so we dont die lost. Grow with Jesus.

  5. 25 And they shall bear the curtains of the tabernacle, and the tabernacle of the congregation, his covering, and the covering of the badgers’ skins that is above upon it, and the hanging for the door of the tabernacle of the congregation,
26 And the hangings of the court, and the hanging for the door of the gate of the court, which is by the tabernacle and by the altar round about, and their cords, and all the instruments of their service, and all that is made for them: so shall they serve.

Every ministry and every service that is done unto THE LORD, is of great importance to HIM!!! There is no ministry that is insignificant to GOD, ALL IS SEEN!!!

  6. /num.4.19.kjv But thus do unto them, that they may live, and not die, when they approach unto the most holy things: Aaron and his sons shall go in, and appoint them every one to his service and to his burden:

    Every body wants a job.
    Every body wants a friend.
    In the church.

  7. 49 When their names were recorded, as the Lord had commanded through Moses, each man was assigned his task and told what to carry. And so the registration was completed, just as the Lord had commanded Moses. (NLT)

They were all counted and assigned jobs. Just the same, we are all called to serve in the Kingdom of God. I started to think of the old Sunday school song that says, “I’m in the Lord’s army, I’m in the Lord’s army. I may never march in the infantry, ride in the cavalry, shoot the artillery; I may never fly o’er the enemy, but I’m in the Lord’s army. Yes Sir!”

  8. 15 And when Aaron and his sons have made an end of covering the sanctuary, and all the vessels of the sanctuary, as the camp is to set forward; after that, the sons of Kohath shall come to bear it: but they shall not touch any holy thing, lest they die. These things are the burden of the sons of Kohath in the tabernacle of the congregation.

The most holy things of the temple were covered anytime they were removed from the temple. It was evident what they were because of the specific covering they were given and only those who were separated and of a certain name, the sons of Kohath, could bear them. It was their burden, their duty to carry the things of God.

Today we are the temple of the Holy Ghost. Together we make up the body of Christ but individually we are still holy to God. We are meant to be covered. Not only that but we are meant to be known by our covering. The holy things of God are not just handed to anyone but are given to those who are separated and bear a certain name.

    2 Corinthians 6:17

Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,

    The name of Jesus.

The people of God are burdened, or have the duty, to cover the Holy Things of God. Themselves.

  9. ALL WORK TOGETHER

49 According to the commandment of the Lord they were numbered by the hand of Moses, every one according to his service, and according to his burden: thus were they numbered of him, as the Lord commanded Moses.

In the book of Romans, the apostle Paul refers to the church as a body. In meditation on this chapter I can see the connection that; our LORD was preparing his people for the Messiah and even the church.

Romans 12:5 So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.

Notice the similarities of Romans 12:5 and Numbers 4:49

Moses counted and counted on every one according to their service and their burden. At The POFW we number every one and we encourage every one to be involved according to their burden. In just a few weeks we will experience our annual Ministry opportunity fair. Each Ministry will present the opportunities available and every one will be able to serve according to their burden.

As we GROW, let us labor together as ONE. The BODY of Christ.

    iRepent
    iPraise
    iPray
    iWork
    iGive
    iReap
    iGrow

  10. When God gives a command we must follow it, no matter what it is, if its easy or hard, we must not change one thing, Gods words are far more higher than our could ever be.

  11. 49 According to the commandment of the Lord they were numbered by the hand of Moses, every one according to his service, and according to his burden: thus were they numbered of him, as the Lord commanded Moses.

  12. v49

We have the responsibility for seeing the work of the LORD progress.
Then GOD will do HIS part when we are willing to do ours,
We will rejoice when we see souls baptized in the name of JESUS and GOD fills the with HIS Spirit . Rejoice rejoice, rejoice increase is coming as we work together and every worker has played a part when souls enter heaven

  13. Each tribe was responsible for something to do with the care/upkeep and running of the tabernacle. Every family was appointed a “ministry opportunity” according to the tribe they were part of.

When everyone works together, whether it be physical labor like janitorial, organizing children’s ministry, hospitality, music, ladies, spanish, ISM, Motion etc, it doesn’t make the burden on any one person unbearable. Likewise, if we all pull together financially it doesn’t make the burden too much for one to bear.

When one person gets out of sorts/alignment, then it makes the rest of the team out of sync because they have to take up the slack for the individual (s) that are out of sorts.

If we all pull together, together, together
If we all pull together how happy we’ll be

Unity is the key in everything.

  14. Covered

5When the camp is to move, Aaron and his sons are to go in and take down the shielding curtain and put it over the ark of the covenant law.

Whenever God calls us to move we must move with Him or get left behind. The same way we cannot move if God is not moving. Moving without the covering of God in our lives puts us outside of Gods will and vulernable to the enemy. In the military soldiers in battle move when ordered, moving without orders leaves them prey to the enemy and possible POW. Adam and Eve found themselves uncovered after eating the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. That knowledge came with a price of seeing their sinful nakedness and desperation to cover themselves. We cannot move with God uncovered. Everywhere he takes us to is not going to feel comfortable, understandable or familiar. It takes faith to follow after God even when you don’t know where he is taking you. God goes into detail here about everything that must be covered down to the silverware that would seem insignificant were catergorized by certain colors of cloth. Every element like the systems of the body must be in place and covered by muscle, skin etc in order to move and function properly. The same goes for the church in order to operate we must be in the allignment and covering of God. Every member of ministry has their important role in the church and no one is less than the other.

  15. 17-20 God spoke to Moses and Aaron, “Don’t let the tribal families of the Kohathites be destroyed from among the Levites. Protect them so they will live and not die when they come near the most holy things. To protect them, Aaron and his sons are to precede them into the Sanctuary and assign each man his task and what he is to carry. But the Kohathites themselves must not go in to look at the holy things, not even a glance at them, or they will die.”

  16. 1 Cor 14:40 Let all things be done decently and in order.

In this chapter God shows us that everything, no matter how big or how small is important enough to be given 100% of our attention. Don’t make your head swell up with a title; a very smart lady taught me if you see something that needs to be done do it. Your the Praise Leader don’t walk away from an over flowed trash can empty it. Best way to learn is to watch your leaders they are willing to do it all for the sake of th church, do the same!!!!! I might not have the best voice but I am going to Praise Him as if I do. Col 3:23 And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;. What a glory!!!! To see every little detail as if Jesus Himself were coming to supervise, which in all true is what is going to happen when He returns for His church. Have we been good stewards of all He has given us!!!!! Thank you Jesus for You do EVERYTHING decently and in order!!!!

  17. 18 Cut ye not off the tribe of the families of the Kohathites from among the Levites:

19 But thus do unto them, that they may live, and not die, when they approach unto the most holy things: Aaron and his sons shall go in, and appoint them every one to his service and to his burden:

20 But they shall not go in to see when the holy things are covered, lest they die.

God has a Job for everyone, and even someone to direct us in what we need to do and how to do it according to how God wants it to be done effectively…and in v 20 I am not sure but…I believe he’s saying, I don’t need to know what other people are doing, just be obedient and do what God has for me to do!

Thank you Jesus for your Grace

  18. 19 But thus do unto them, that they may live, and not die, when they approach unto the most holy things: Aaron and his sons shall go in, and appoint them every one to his service and to his burden:

God instructed Moses and gave the people specific instructions on their duties in the Tabernacle. He even instructed Aaron and his sons on what their duties were and my point is that they had to obey these instructions and stay within the perimeters of the work given to their family. They didn’t get to choose what area of the Tabernacle they wanted to work in – it was assigned AND it was to be carried out in a specific manner too. Today we can elect to serve in a particular ministry and in a certain position but it is still the responsibility of Pastor and Ministry Directors to pray and seek God before we can be placed there. Each position we serve in today at POFW carries a list of criteria about the position and the duties required for that position still must be carried out according to the structure or design. If we slack in our position and slack in performing all aspects of our position, it adds weight for others to carry which does make it harder on others serving with you. Serve according to the description of the position you hold just as is described in this chapter – each one doing their own part. Lord help me do a better job of the duties given to me.

  20. Numbers 4:47-49 (NLT)
“All the men between thirty and fifty years of age who were eligible for service in the Tabernacle and for its transportation numbered 8,580. When their names were recorded, as the LORD had commanded through Moses, each man was assigned his task and told what to carry.”

Romans 12:4-5 says, “For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office: So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.”
1 Cor. 12:18 says, But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body, as it hath pleased him.”

God has given us all talents and abilities to be used for His kingdom. We all do different things in the church, yet we still make up one body in Christ. So be Responsible and take Joy in what you are doing in the kingdom of God, for He has placed you right where He wants you to be.
As the old saying goes, “GROW where you are planted.”

  21. 15 And when Aaron and his sons have made an end of covering the sanctuary, and all the vessels of the sanctuary, as the camp is to set forward; after that, the sons of Kohath shall come to bear it: but they shall not touch any holy thing, lest they die. These things are the burden of the sons of Kohath in the tabernacle of the congregation.

The things of God were so precious in His eyes that every time they went out they were covered. So how much more so should the people of God (His most precious creation) be covered? To be covered on the outside we must first be covered on the inside, covered with holiness and righteous, with joy and love, with His Holy Spirit and name, and let all of that work on the outside, to present ourselves as the temple of God everywhere we go!

  22. 49 According to the commandment of the Lord they were numbered by the hand of Moses, every one according to his service, and according to his burden: thus were they numbered of him, as the Lord commanded Moses.

Glory just like POFW! We are all working hard according to our burden because this is not a one man show. We need each other to work for the kingdom of God. This world is to filled with people that hunger for God. Evangelize every where you go because the harvest is coming and we must be ready!!!!

  23. 5) And when the camp setteth forward, Aaron Shall come and his sons and they shall take down the covering veil and cover the ark of testimony with it

  24. 27 At the appointment of Aaron and his sons shall be all the service of the sons of the Gershonites, in all their burdens, and in all their service: and ye shall appoint unto them in charge all their burdens.

When we work in the ministry, we don’t do it for a position or to have people work for us, we are here to serve other people. We are here to serve our brothers and sisters in Christ and we are here to serve new people that come to church and here to serve people in general. We are here for people.

  25. 49 When their names were recorded, as the LORD had commanded through Moses, each man was assigned his task and told what to carry.

Each family, has a duty to accomplish. Just like at home, work or church, everyone has their specific duty to complete. If one task is not completed, then someone else has to complete it. Every process has to be completed in orderly fashion. In church, every member has a calling to complete. All taks in church are equally important.

  26. 4-3
Twenty was old enough to fight. But a man has to be 30 to serve in the tabernacle. But maturity. Is called for when it comes to spiritually leadership.
Those spared from death belong to God.
God claims our service that others might be blessed.

  27. The Power of a Touch

By one touch a “strange” woman can lure you into her chambers. One touch can become a lasting connection of intamacy. Here we see that a touch can kill. So, be very carful what you put your hands in to do for it could spiritually lead to distruction.

  28. 49 At the Lord’s command through Moses, each was assigned his work and told what to carry. Thus they were counted, as the Lord commanded Moses.

Each and everyone of use are important in the kingdom of God! We each have our own job that God called us to be in. Thank you Jesus for using me for your kingdom! 🙂

  29. Numbers 4:6

6 Then they must cover the inner curtain with fine goatskin leather and spread over that a single piece of blue cloth. Finally, they must put the carrying poles of the Ark in place.

When moving the furniture of the tabernacle they were commanded to cover it with cloth. I believe the symbolizes that not everyone can see the furniture and that the glory must be protected. We should never think the things of God as common place and old hat.
We must honor and respect God and the things of God. He is worthy.

  30. 49. According to the commandment of The Lord they were numbered by the hand of Moses , each according to his service and according to his service and according t his task; thus were they numbered by him, as The Lord commanded Moses.

  31. 49 According to the commandment of the Lord they were numbered by the hand of Moses, every one according to his service, and according to his burden: thus were they numbered of him, as the Lord commanded Moses.

A place for everyone and a job everyone. That is what it means to work together in the kingdom of God. Our sacrifice helps bring glory to the kingdom of God.

  32. 18 Cut ye not off the tribe of the families of the Kohathites from among the Levites:

Thank you Lord for speaking to me today. Decsisions made today affect more than what konw. I could have destroyed; instead, I rebuilt. The Word of the Lord conitunes to amaze at how it speaks into our lives – if we let it.

  33. 25 And they shall bear the curtains of the tabernacle, and the tabernacle of the congregation, his covering, and the covering of the badgers’ skins that is above upon it, and the hanging for the door of the tabernacle of the congregation,

We should pray everyday not just wait until we get to church, God didn’t forget to wake us up this morning, so we shouldn’t forget to talk to him, we should make praying to God one of our top priorities!!

  34. 30 From thirty years old and upward even unto fifty years old shalt thou number them, every one that entereth into the service, to do the work of the tabernacle of the congregation.

This reminds me of how pastor always keep record of attendance but not only that but that it is important that all that can have a job in the church. All ministry is of upmost importance. We see here how their job was at times a matter of life and death. May we serve with that same respect that whether is straighting chairs to cleaning or delivering a message it is the tabernacle of the Lord and it is important to Him. We honor hiknin the things that we do for the kingdom.

  35. 49 According to the commandment of the Lord they were numbered by the hand of Moses, every one according to his service, and according to his burden: thus were they numbered of him, as the Lord commanded Moses
Again we see throughout this entire chapter the importance that God takes on numbers. I believe that it is the will of God for every church to make it a point to keep good records on attendees because by doing so you constantly have an opportunity to know where you stand in your attendance goals. Pastor and sister Watts have emphasized this from day one of this church and that is why we continue to grow grow grow! Numbers are truly important.

  36. 16 And to the office of Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest pertaineth the oil for the light, and the sweet incense, and the daily meat offering, and the anointing oil, and the oversight of all the tabernacle, and of all that therein is, in the sanctuary, and in the vessels thereof.

My pastor name fits right in with El-azar (God has helped). All the things that are appointed to him, the light to show the way to the Savior, making sure our worship is a sweet incense before the Lord, daily meat offering always interceding for ours sins before God, if we stay submitted under him as he is to God we can also enjoy the anointing because it always flows down. God bless our overseers!

  37. 19 But thus do unto them, that they may live, and not die, when they approach unto the most holy things: Aaron and his sons shall go in, and appoint them every one to his service and to his burden:

20 But they shall not go in to see when the holy things are covered, lest they die.

Just as we see right here, we too are not always privileged to get to see all that Jesus is doing. Unfortunately we as people, have a hard time sometimes letting go of someone’s shortcomings.
We need to have a greatful attitude when we get to see Jesus do His holy work.

  38. Count all the men from thirty to fifty years of age who enter the ministry of work at the Tent of Meeting. MSG

30 From thirty years old and upward even unto fifty years old shalt thou number them, every one that entereth into the service, to do the work of the tabernacle of the congregation.

    MINISTRY OF WORK- Hallelujah

  39. 3 From thirty years old and upward even until fifty years old, all that enter into the host, to do the work in the tabernacle of the congregation. 23 From thirty years old and upward until fifty years old shalt thou number them; all that enter in to perform the service, to do the work in the tabernacle of the congregation. 30 From thirty years old and upward even unto fifty years old shalt thou number them, every one that entereth into the service, to do the work of the tabernacle of the congregation. 35 From thirty years old and upward even unto fifty years old, every one that entereth into the service, for the work in the tabernacle of the congregation: 39 From thirty years old and upward even unto fifty years old, every one that entereth into the service, for the work in the tabernacle of the congregation, 43 From thirty years old and upward even unto fifty years old, every one that entereth into the service, for the work in the tabernacle of the congregation, 47 From thirty years old and upward even unto fifty years old, every one that came to do the service of the ministry, and the service of the burden in the tabernacle of the congregation.

The word of God (Jesus) instructed to number those within a specific age bracket. Dear God, I pray you bless all that serve; and I pray that you richly and abundantly bless all the elders that continue to serve in Jesus name. May God Bless America, Israel, Jerusalem, and you all in Jesus name, Amen!

  40. “And when Aaron and his sons have made an end of covering the sanctuary, and all the vessels of the sanctuary, as the camp is to set forward; after that, the sons of Kohath shall come to bear it: but they shall not touch any holy thing, lest they die. These things are the burden of the sons of Kohath in the tabernacle of the congregation.” The Lord provided clear instructions as to; who, how and when, and then provided the consequences for not listening. There are reasons for everything, which may never be known; until afterwards. God help us that we may be content with doing, in Jesus name.

  41. In this chapter we definately see the importance to recording the names of everyone that attend or visit our church. We all can do something and be apart of the body of christ, both young and old. It doesn’t matter what your nationality may be. We shouldn’t compare ourselves with others because God may want you to do something that he might not require someone else to do. Everyone is important!

  42. Get ready to move!

Everything in the house of God is important to Him, so important that he assigned whole families after curtains. We should take every opportunity that serious at the church. Dull work in the kingdom is ministry.

  43. 49 According to the commandment of the Lord they were numbered by the hand of Moses, every one according to his service, and according to his burden: thus were they numbered of him, as the Lord commanded Moses.

The Lord commanded Moses to count them by their burden and their service. Lord may your will be done.

  44. The Lord detailed instructions and kept things in order by family, and by age. He kept count from 30 to 50 years of age to the work of the tabernacle. Hmmm…..up to age 50!

    “Be blessed”………………..

  45. “So Moses and Aaron counted all of the Levites. The leaders of Israel helped them. They counted the Levites family by family. All of the men who were from 30 to 50 years old were counted. They were the men who came and served at the Tent of Meeting. They were also supposed to carry it. The total number of men was 8,580. Everything was done as the Lord had commanded through Moses. Each man was given his work. And each one was told what to carry. So they were counted, just as the Lord had commanded Moses.”
    ‭‭Numbers‬ ‭4:46-49‬ ‭NIRV‬‬

After reading this chapter it seems like that would be a big test to have to pick up and move the tabernacle. But thankfully there were men to help things run smoothly. It also makes me think of western day. I’m thankful for my brothers and sisters in Christ who work together and serve our community. Together we are Impacting lives to change The world.

  46. This is what you must do so they will live and not die when they approach the most sacred objects. Aaron and his sons must always go in with them and assign a specific duty or load to each person.

We all have a specific role role in church. Whether it be from cleaning the church to greeting people or from teaching to preaching. We all have to work together because we are the church and the church is one body.

  47. Everything has specific directions as to how to make and use these hints in a manner which the Lord intended. We need to ensure that today we are looking for those specific directions as to what we should be doing. Thank you Jesus that we know that if you have such specific directions before hat you will do it again. All we have to do is listen and obey.
