Numbers 7

1 And it came to pass on the day that Moses had fully set up the tabernacle, and had anointed it, and sanctified it, and all the instruments thereof, both the altar and all the vessels thereof, and had anointed them, and sanctified them;

2 That the princes of Israel, heads of the house of their fathers, who were the princes of the tribes, and were over them that were numbered, offered:

3 And they brought their offering before the Lord, six covered wagons, and twelve oxen; a wagon for two of the princes, and for each one an ox: and they brought them before the tabernacle.

4 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,

5 Take it of them, that they may be to do the service of the tabernacle of the congregation; and thou shalt give them unto the Levites, to every man according to his service.

6 And Moses took the wagons and the oxen, and gave them unto the Levites.

7 Two wagons and four oxen he gave unto the sons of Gershon, according to their service:

8 And four wagons and eight oxen he gave unto the sons of Merari, according unto their service, under the hand of Ithamar the son of Aaron the priest.

9 But unto the sons of Kohath he gave none: because the service of the sanctuary belonging unto them was that they should bear upon their shoulders.

10 And the princes offered for dedicating of the altar in the day that it was anointed, even the princes offered their offering before the altar.

11 And the Lord said unto Moses, They shall offer their offering, each prince on his day, for the dedicating of the altar.

12 And he that offered his offering the first day was Nahshon the son of Amminadab, of the tribe of Judah:

33 One young bullock, one ram, one lamb of the first year, for a burnt offering:

34 One kid of the goats for a sin offering:

35 And for a sacrifice of peace offerings, two oxen, five rams, five he goats, five lambs of the first year: this was the offering of Elizur the son of Shedeur.

88 And all the oxen for the sacrifice of the peace offerings were twenty and four bullocks, the rams sixty, the he goats sixty, the lambs of the first year sixty. This was the dedication of the altar, after that it was anointed.

89 And when Moses was gone into the tabernacle of the congregation to speak with him, then he heard the voice of one speaking unto him from off the mercy seat that was upon the ark of testimony, from between the two cherubims: and he spake unto him.

  1. And when Moses was gone into the tabernacle of the congregation to speak with him, then he heard the voice of one speaking unto him from off the mercy seat that was upon the ark of testimony, from between the two cherubims: and he spake unto him. (‭Numbers‬ ‭7‬:‭89‬ KJV)

    Praise GOD!!!

What offerings am I bringing unto GOD? Are they pleasing unto Him? Can I hear the voice of GOD speaking to me? It’s a beautiful relationship between GOD and Moses!!!

My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: (‭John‬ ‭10‬:‭27‬ KJV)

  2. Wow, talk about a heart of sacrifice and a desire to give. Each leader brought gifts to the Sacred Tent. The end of the chapter verse 89 CEV says “Whenever Moses needed to talk with the Lord, he went into the sacred tent, where he heard the Lord’s voice coming from between the two winged creatures above the lid of the sacred chest.” Sadly, many people still do not know where to go when they need to talk with the Lord. So many are lost and searching. Moses knew where to go to speak with the Lord and it is our job to show other people.

  3. 12. And he that offered his offering the first day was Nahshon the son of Amminadab, of the tribe of Judah:

It’s always a good idea to start with praise.

  4. iLove to grow in the Word

    Responsibility

Can you imagine if one of the leaders would have forgotten something. These offerings were so Important that each leaders gift was individually listed, even though the offerings were identical. God is in the details and didn’t just want to take up space in the Word. These leaders were responsible and had everything together. We too must be detailed and not let things slip as if they don’t matter.

  5. 89 Whenever Moses needed to talk with the Lord, he went into the sacred tent, where he heard the Lord’s voice coming from between the two winged creatures above the lid of the sacred chest. (CEV)

Moses knew exactly where to go when he needed to talk with God. Know that the Lord, He is God and He is the one we should go to in any life circumstances.

  6. 2Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

When we face the trials of life, remembering the Lord keeps His promises, is sometimes harder than we might like to admit. Understanding that His time and our time do not always match is the first step. We are impatient person; who has not stood in front of the microwave watching the second’s tick away wondering of the timer on a microwave runs slower than actual time. We all want good things to happen in our lives, but too often we want it now…not later. When it doesn’t happen that way, we are tempted to ask, “When, God, or maybe why not now?”

Do we fully trust the Lord if we question His timing? Maybe there is room for growth in the area of trusting God instead of focusing on the “when” question. Would we give up if we knew the answer would not come for another week, month or a few years? Would we continue to pray as earnestly knowing His timing rather than trusting His timing?

  7. PRAISE GOES FIRST

11 And the Lord said unto Moses, They shall offer their offering, each prince on his day, for the dedicating of the altar.
12 And he that offered his offering the first day was Nahshon the son of Amminadab, of the tribe of Judah:

We know that Judah means PRAISE. There is a principal repeated throughout the WORD of GOD. That being that the Tribe of Judah (PRAISE) is often called on to go first or lead the way into battle or as we learn here, lead the way in giving.

    Into BATTLE

Judges 1:1 Now after the death of Joshua it came to pass, that the children of Israel asked the LORD, saying, Who shall go up for us against the Canaanites first, to fight against them?

2 And the LORD said, Judah shall go up: behold, I have delivered the land into his hand.

Please remember to pray for The POFW praise team and band. Their gifting and talents are so important to the level of VICTORY we obtain and maintain at The POFW.

The LORD said! Judah is first in battle. Why would we attempt to change this plan of victorious attack?

Before we complain, PRAISE the LORD.
Before we murmur, PRAISE the LORD.
Before we retreat, PRAISE the LORD.
Before we argue, PRAISE the LORD.
Before we grudge, PRAISE the LORD.
Before we sin, PRAISE the LORD.
Before we give up or in, PRAISE the LORD.

    iRepent
    iPraise
    iPray
    iWork
    iGive
    iReap

  8. I know His voice

89 And when Moses was gone into the tabernacle of the congregation to speak with him, then he heard the voice of one speaking unto him from off the mercy seat that was upon the ark of testimony, from between the two cherubims: and he spake unto him.

John 10:14 I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine.

Can you imagine basking in His presence, listening to His voice that flows from The Mercy Throne. Life is so simple if all we do is run to His Mercy Seat and listens to His voice. Sounds travel at 332 meters per second now that is fast, but as anything else is contingent to distance, knowledge or identification, and proximity. I have a whistle that I do and no matter how noisy a place is if I do it my daughter’s ear is kin to hear it and stop and whistle back until she finds me. Is the same way with God, He will never leave you nor forsakes us, but we move away from Him and the further we go the quieter His voice is, until we go so far we can barely hear Him. Oh but that moment when we fall on our knees it could be the noisiest place on earth and you here that still voice calling from the Mercy seat, COME RUNNING and you do, you return to Him for you will always know His Voice. My Good Shepherd, my Saviour Jesus Christ my Lord!!! So don’t wait, listen carefully for your shepherd’s voice and come running! Give your offering of self sacrifice an offering of Praise!!!

  9. 89 Whenever Moses went into the Tabernacle to speak with the Lord, he heard the voice speaking to him from between the two cherubim above the Ark’s cover—the place of atonement—that rests on the Ark of the Covenant.[f] The Lord spoke to him from there.

Go to your alter! Let us be like Moses that we will know where to go and that’s out alter. I pray I will know that when I need to heard Gods voice i won’t try to find it by someone else but by on my knees at MY alter!

  10. 89 And when Moses was gone into the tabernacle of the congregation to speak with him, then he heard the voice of one speaking unto him from off the mercy seat that was upon the ark of testimony, from between the two cherubims: and he spake unto him.

  11. Numbers 7:89, “And when Moses was gone into the tabernacle of the congregation to speak with him, then he heard the voice of one speaking unto him from off the mercy seat that was upon the ark of testimony, from between the two cheribums: and he spoke unto him,”

    PRAYER!
Prayer is simply conversation with God. It’s not just the ability to speak, but to LISTEN when God is speaking to us.
So many times in prayer, people are busy asking God to do “this or that” or telling God we need “this or that,” that they fail to hear what God is speaking to them.
So when you are praying, don’t just speak, but LISTEN to what God is saying.

  12. 24 On the third day Eliab the son of Helon, prince of the children of Zebulun, did offer:
25 His offering was one silver charger, the weight whereof was an hundred and thirty shekels, one silver bowl of seventy shekels, after the shekel of the sanctuary; both of them full of fine flour mingled with oil for a meat offering:
26 One golden spoon of ten shekels, full of incense:
27 One young bullock, one ram, one lamb of the first year, for a burnt offering:
28 One kid of the goats for a sin offering:

All of this for meat offerings, burnt offering abs sin offering. THANK YOUUUUUU JESUS, THAT WE DON’T HAVE TO GO HAULING ANIMALS AROUND FOR ALL OF THE DIFFERENT OFFERINGS AS THEY DID !!! HALELUJAH!!! THANK YOUUUUUU JESUS!!! I LOVE YOU JESUS!!!

  13. For the wages of sin is death…

It used to literally cost you something if you sinned. But under the death of Jesus, those wages are spiritual. The death of ones self. But the gift of God is eternal life though Jesus Christ our Lord. It is through Jesus that we have the hope of eternal life.

  14. 2 That the princes of Israel, heads of the house of their fathers, who were the princes of the tribes, and were over them that were numbered

The princes of Israel were responsible for all the people numbered. That’s a heavy burden upon 12 people. It was imperative that they obeyed Gods commandment exactly. Their obedience not only effected themselves but everyone following after them. If anyone failed to comply then whole tribes would be effected.

Leaders are still responsible today. If a leader chooses to disobey then that example is seen by those following them. Entire ministries can be effected by a leader that doesn’t submit.

  15. 10 And the princes offered for dedicating of the altar in the day that it was anointed, even the princes offered their offering before the altar.

After the altar was anointed Moses was given instructions from the Lord to give all the offerings that the tribal leaders of Israel brought to the Lord to the Levites according to what they need for their work. The sacrificial offerings they gave were pleasing to the Lord and were blessed for their sacrifice.

The sacrifices we make to give towards IFT, offering and tithe is not overlooked and we can’t out give God. The sacrifice of giving is ultimately from the heart, God knows the intent of the heart. Don’t miss out on the blessings that God has in store for you, give willingly.

Leaders What NOW? Lets exceed our sacrificial giving towards IFT so the new church loan at 10264 West Point Blvd. can be paid in full. Thank you Jesus.

  16. 84So this was the dedication offering brought by the leaders of Israel at the time the altar was anointed: twelve silver platters, twelve silver basins, and twelve gold incense containers.

It seems like all the tribes brought the same offerings. God doesnt want someone to say “I gave more than the other” or “my offering is worth more”. God kept them all equal to show that no one tribe is more valuable than the other.

  17. ..88 “These were the offerings for the dedication of the altar after it was anointed. 89When Moses entered the tent of meeting to speak with the Lord, he heard the voice speaking to him from between the two cherubim above the atonement cover on the ark of the covenant law. In this way the Lord spoke to him.”

Every family made a dedication of the alter after it was annointed and Judah (praise) came on the first day out of twelve days. Just like any dedication praise comes first because praise is a sacrfice. All tweleve tribe leaders brought the same exact offering they were in unity in the same mind and in one accord. Each dedication showed their tribes commitment to serve the Lord. As a nation they knew that if they could not dedicate themselves equally to the kingdom then they would be out of order, unbalanced. If we are not all on the same page then we cannot reach the same level of growth, worship, praise, miracles, blessings etc. together. To move as one body we must opperate as one in unity. Each under full submission offered up the same fire. They are different families with different characteristic and roles in the kingdom, but like the church they understood that they needed to work out their differences because they were called of God for His Glory! Once they got this right the Lord spoke to Moses. We want God to speak to us and guide us but can we hear him if we don’t opperate in unity? Its like trying to do cartwheels with a broken arm, you have to repair it first. You cannot move like God designed you to until you are restored. If you don’t treat it, take care of it and cast it won’t grow back into place. Souls are depending on us to bring them the Gospel and disunity will only hault the will of God.

  18. 89 And when Moses was gone into the tabernacle of the congregation to speak with him, then he heard the voice of one speaking unto him from off the mercy seat that was upon the ark of testimony, from between the two cherubims: and he spake unto him.

When you speak to God you will hear back from Him. Build your alter and the Lord will always be there because He is a faithful God. Pray without ceasing. Praying everywhere you go. I love talking to God because every time I want a clear answer from Him I tell Him to show it to me and He will. When He speaks to me its just something so beautiful because He will tell me the answer and remind me of His specific Word in the Bible. There is no bad time or place to pray. Just pray and wait how He will speak to you. There is no one else like you Lord!!!! Hallelujah

  19. And when Moses wad gone into the tabernacle of the congregation to speak with him then he heard the voice of one speaking unto him from off the mercy seat that was upon the ark of testimony from between the two cheruims and he spake unto him

  20. To be saved it is important to follow God’s instructions.

Act 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Act 2:39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.

  21. 19 He offered for his offering one silver charger, the weight whereof was an hundred and thirty shekels, one silver bowl of seventy shekels, after the shekel of the sanctuary; both of them full of fine flour mingled with oil for a meat offering:

  22. “Take it of them, that they may be to do the service of the tabernacle of the congregation; and thou shalt give them unto the Levites, to every man according to his service.” The word of God (Jesus) said he told Moses to take it for the tabernacle. One should be mindful that although on may be able to bring it; it does not mean the Lord (Judge) will receive it. Dear God, let our (my) offering be acceptable by you. May God Bless America, Israel, Jerusalem, and you all in Jesus name, Amen!

  23. “And the Lord said unto Moses, They shall offer their offering, each prince on his day, for the dedicating of the altar.” The Lord required the offering to be brought on the day appointed. There is another day appoint in which all, will also give an account. God help us too be mindful and do what is required so that our day may go well, in Jesus name.

  24. 89 And when Moses was gone into the tabernacle of the congregation to speak with him, then he heard the voice of one speaking unto him from off the mercy seat that was upon the ark of testimony, from between the two cherubims: and he spake unto him.
is a such a special moment that Moses had to be able to speak to God directly in the holiest of holies. in our day and time we have the privilege to speak to God as well in our prayer closet which is our modern-day holiest of holies. we have to take every moment we can just spend time with God and let go spend time with us.

  25. Moses was definitely in tune with God. Moses had plenty of responsibilities that God has giving him. God trust Moses that he was going to follow Gods command. In order lead properly we must also be in tune, with God so we can hear God voice and complete the work of God.

  26. 1 And it came to pass on the day that Moses had fully set up the tabernacle, and had anointed it, and sanctified it, and all the instruments thereof, both the altar and all the vessels thereof, and had anointed them, and sanctified them;

All the vessels and or instruments used in the House of God are sanctified and anoited and we should treat therefore the house of God and all of its instruments with respect. They all belong to the Lord.

  27. Sacrifice precedes conversation. All of the sacrifices were given to the Lord and then Moses spoke to the Lord at the mercy seat. God doesn’t turn away and humble and contrite heart. We still fellowship with him today the same way. First we repent and come before him humbly.

  28. Wow, look at what the Lord is going to do when our tabernacle is fully set up! That the churches giving will get back on track, that as a congregation of believers we are going to get what we are to go for the service of the tabernacle and we can do away with “fundraising” because the giving will be on track!

  29. Don’t spare the sacrifice

3 And they brought their offering before the Lord, six covered wagons, and twelve oxen; a wagon for two of the princes, and for each one an ox: and they brought them before the tabernacle.

It seems that in our culture people are afraid to give offering and sacrificial finances to the Lord. They are afraid if they give it they will need it and be left wanting. Just as that old thing in your garage… You haven’t used it in years and you get rid of it but the next week you have an unforeseen need for it. If we think this way about sacrifice then we have missed it. We give and it is given into us. Freely given and freely recieved. We could look at a well known scripture in a new light… To whom much is given, much is required. What if that is God. If we give much to him then he is greatly required to give back to us. It does say to test him in this. I belief that if we can change our way of looking at giving to the kingdom the blessings will be opened up just as the word declares. We can’t spare the sacrifice. We bring it knowing that our God is a supplier of all things.

  30. After the tabernacle was set up ,anointed and consecrated , the leaders of the 12 tribes brought gifts and offerings for its use and maintence all of the of the people participated , it was everyone’s tabernacle .

  31. 89 And when Moses was gone into the tabernacle of the congregation to speak with him, then he heard the voice of one speaking unto him from off the mercy seat that was upon the ark of testimony, from between the two cherubims: and he spake unto him.

They offering their offerings-each the same. One prince was not greater than the other except that Judah ( praise ) went first and last was Naphtali (he that gives goodly words). Then Moses went into the holy place and the Lord spoke to him. In prayer we begin with praise and thanksgiving, then the sacrifice or repentance and when we have come to entered into his courts, we must learn to listen for the voice of God. He speaks and/or gives nudges and thoughts if we take the time to hear.

  32. ““Accept these from them, that they may be used in doing the work of the tabernacle of meeting; and you shall give them to the Levites, to every man according to his service.(”‭‭Numbers‬ ‭7:5‬ ‭NKJV)

They exhibited a beautiful example to all who are great in dignity and in wealth, to be foremost in contributing to the support and in promoting the interests of religion. The strictness of the injunctions Moses had received to adhere with scrupulous fidelity to the divine model of the tabernacle probably led him to doubt whether he was at liberty to act in this matter without orders.

  33. ““Accept these from them, that they may be used in doing the work of the tabernacle of meeting; and you shall give them to the Levites, to every man according to his service.””(Numbers‬ ‭7:5‬ ‭NKJV)

  34. 89 And when Moses was gone into the tabernacle of the congregation to speak with him, then he heard the voice of one speaking unto him from off the mercy seat that was upon the ark of testimony, from between the two cherubims: and he spake unto him.

  35. GOD LOVES A CHEERFUL GIVER!!!
Offer sacrifices of praise especially in hard times,
GOD IS ABLE TO keep us through any storm.

  36. “Moses entered the Tent of Meeting. He wanted to speak with the Lord. There Moses heard the Lord talking to him. The Lord’s voice was speaking to him from between the two cherubim. The cherubim were over the place where sin is paid for. It was the cover on the ark where the tablets of the covenant were kept. The Lord spoke with Moses there.”
    ‭‭Numbers‬ ‭7:89‬ ‭NIRV‬‬

Thankful that we have direct access to the mercy seat. And we can hear the voice of the Lord in a personal.
