Numbers 12

1 And Miriam and Aaron spake against Moses because of the Ethiopian woman whom he had married: for he had married an Ethiopian woman.

2 And they said, Hath the Lord indeed spoken only by Moses? hath he not spoken also by us? And the Lord heard it.

3 (Now the man Moses was very meek, above all the men which were upon the face of the earth.)

4 And the Lord spake suddenly unto Moses, and unto Aaron, and unto Miriam, Come out ye three unto the tabernacle of the congregation. And they three came out.

5 And the Lord came down in the pillar of the cloud, and stood in the door of the tabernacle, and called Aaron and Miriam: and they both came forth.

6 And he said, Hear now my words: If there be a prophet among you, I the Lord will make myself known unto him in a vision, and will speak unto him in a dream.

7 My servant Moses is not so, who is faithful in all mine house.

8 With him will I speak mouth to mouth, even apparently, and not in dark speeches; and the similitude of the Lord shall he behold: wherefore then were ye not afraid to speak against my servant Moses?

9 And the anger of the Lord was kindled against them; and he departed.

10 And the cloud departed from off the tabernacle; and, behold, Miriam became leprous, white as snow: and Aaron looked upon Miriam, and, behold, she was leprous.

11 And Aaron said unto Moses, Alas, my lord, I beseech thee, lay not the sin upon us, wherein we have done foolishly, and wherein we have sinned.

12 Let her not be as one dead, of whom the flesh is half consumed when he cometh out of his mother’s womb.

13 And Moses cried unto the Lord, saying, Heal her now, O God, I beseech thee.

14 And the Lord said unto Moses, If her father had but spit in her face, should she not be ashamed seven days? let her be shut out from the camp seven days, and after that let her be received in again.

15 And Miriam was shut out from the camp seven days: and the people journeyed not till Miriam was brought in again.

16 And afterward the people removed from Hazeroth, and pitched in the wilderness of Paran.

  1. Then the LORD descended in the pillar of cloud and stood at the entrance of the Tabernacle. “Aaron and Miriam!” he called, and they stepped forward. And the LORD said to them, “Now listen to what I say: “If there were prophets among you, I, the LORD, would reveal myself in visions. I would speak to them in dreams. But not with my servant Moses. Of all my house, he is the one I trust. I speak to him face to face, clearly, and not in riddles! He sees the LORD as he is. So why were you not afraid to criticize my servant Moses?” (‭Numbers‬ ‭12‬:‭5-8‬ NLT)

The Lord has a way of dealing with people who come against ‘His Anointed’, where in the heart of Miriam did jealousy arise or what was it that she had seen or felt in her heart? Or after so long why did she decide to speak against the man of GOD?
Nothing is ever hidden the the eyes of the Almighty GOD.
As Christians we should always have e reverence for the Word of GOD, and those who have authority over our lives. And this should be taught to children as early as possible! Many times as I see where my family is, I truly believe that some of the things we have faced is because of a lack of respect to authority. There is always consequences that everyone faces by the choices that are made. So be careful in what you think, say, feel, and act. Because GOD is the one that will always have the last word.

But I, the LORD, search all hearts and examine secret motives. I give all people their due rewards, according to what their actions deserve.” (‭Jeremiah‬ ‭17‬:‭10‬ NLT)

  2. “But the LORD said to Moses, “If her father had done nothing more than spit in her face, wouldn’t she be defiled for seven days? So keep her outside the camp for seven days, and after that she may be accepted back.””
    ‭‭Numbers‬ ‭12:14‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Just because we get “grounded” for 7 days doesn’t mean that God doesn’t love us. In fact, the opposite is true. Those that God love are the ones he corrects. Also, just because God was angry doesn’t mean He will stay angry. The choice is ours of how long he will remain angry. If we are quick to repent, then He is quick to forgive.

  3. Verses 1-3 CEV says “Although Moses was the most humble person in all the world, Miriam and Aaron started complaining, “Moses had no right to marry that woman from Ethiopia![a] Who does he think he is? The Lord has spoken to us, not just to him.” The Lord heard their complaint..”. This chapter is captioned “Miriam and Aaron Are Jealous of Moses”. The dictionary says this of jealous: feeling resentment against someone because of that person’s rivalry, success, or advantages (often followed by of); so, what were they jealous of? Many times we tend to question or complain about things we don’t seem to understand. If things are not going quite the way we want or the way we think it should, we will find or begin to nit pick until we find something to complain about. As we see in this chapter and how Pastor preached this very message, God hears all things. So as the song says:

“O be careful little mouth what you say
O be careful little mouth what you say
    There’s a Father up above
And He’s looking down in love
So, be careful little mouth what you say

  4. Numbers 12:14 And the LORD said unto Moses, If her father had but spit in her face, should she not be ashamed seven days? let her be shut out from the camp seven days, and after that let her be received in again.

If her father had put spit in her face
is a reference to the rebuke a father might and administer to his daughter, which would result in a period of shame to follow
(Deut.25:9 And then shall his brother’s wife come unto him in the presence of the elders, and loose his shoe from off his foot, and spit in his face, and shall answer and say, So shall it be done unto that man that will not build up his brother’s house. )
how much more Miriam should be shamed seven days for flouting God’s authority. The public nature of her sin called for public punishment
(1 Tim.5:20 reads Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear.)

  5. “And He said, Hear now My words: If there is a prophet among you, I the Lord make Myself known to him in a vision and speak to him in a dream. But not so with My servant Moses; he is entrusted and faithful in all My house. [Heb. 3:2, 5, 6.] With him I speak mouth to mouth [directly], clearly and not in dark speeches; and he beholds the form of the Lord. Why then were you not afraid to speak against My servant Moses?”
    ‭‭Numbers‬ ‭12:6-8‬ ‭AMP‬‬

What a testimony to talk face-to-face with God. It’s one thing to trust and have faith in God, but when God displays that same trust and faith back to us it’s a whole new level of intimacy with him. My prayer is that every individual at The Pentecostals of Fort Worth that is desiring a passionate and intimate relationship would grow to that level in God.

  6. 15. And Miriam was shut out from the camp seven days: and the people journeyed not till Miriam was brought in again.

Don’t think your sin affects anyone else? Because of her sin, the whole nation was unable to continue their journey.

  7. 15. And Miriam was shut out from the camp seven days: and the people journeyed not till Miriam was brought in again.

Don’t think your sin affects anyone else? Because of her sin, the whole nation was unable to continue their journey.

  8. 2 They said, “Has the Lord spoken only through Moses? Hasn’t he spoken through us, too?” But the Lord heard them.

The Lord hears all, sees all, and knows all. We would be foolish and ignorant to think we could hide anything from Him.

  9. 11 And Aaron said unto Moses, Alas, my lord, I beseech thee, lay not the sin upon us, wherein we have done foolishly, and wherein we have sinned.

Is it better to have repented before or after the consequences?
In my opinion it would be better to repent before any consequence. Sometimes it seems that the person is sorry because they had been caught and not because of their action.
Just because one repents whole heartedly does not mean there won’t be consequences.

Whether it be before or after, it is always good to repent!!!
My GOD IS GREAT!!! I LOVE YOU DADDY

  10. 2 They said, “Has the Lord spoken only through Moses? Hasn’t he spoken through us, too?” But the Lord heard them.

Thank you Lord for being an all knowing God! You put us back in place when we go astray. I pray Lord help us know our place in your kingdom, so we don’t murmur and complain to think you don’t hear us!

  11. 14 And the Lord said unto Moses, If her father had but spit in her face, should she not be ashamed seven days? let her be shut out from the camp seven days, and after that let her be received in again.
15 And Miriam was shut out from the camp seven days: and the people journeyed not till Miriam was brought in again.

    No one is exempt.
One day we will ALL have to give an account for everything we did or did not do. One day we will either hear well done or we will get to become well done. One day…

The Bible says every knee shall bow, and every tongue shall confess that Jesus is King. It also tells us that one day we all will face judgment. John 3:3-7 Jesus tells Nicodemus that unless you are born again that you CANNOT enter the kingdom of God. No one will be exempt on that fateful day, and we have been commissioned by Jesus to Preach and teach everyone about him. We too will have to give an account of this, no one will be exempt.

  12. 15 And Miriam was shut out from the camp seven days: and the people journeyed not till Miriam was brought in again.

Because of her sin, everyone around her could not move on to the next place. So that brings me to the questions, what about us? Are we committing a sin that is holding our ministry back from going to a higher place in God? This is why we must be in prayer and live a holy life, for we do not want to be the ones holding our ministry or our church back from a mighty move of God! Lord search me and anything that is holding me back and is not of you , take it out and fill it with a passion and a burden for your people and the work of your kingdom!!

  13. 2 And they said, Hath the Lord indeed spoken only by Moses? hath he not spoken also by us? And the Lord heard it.

God hears us and he knows our minds so let everything that comes out of our mouths be praise into God!!

  14. Double Dose of Goodness

Just as Pastor preached this weekend; don’t talk “against” about the leadership of this church. If there is concern about something that is being done, was done is planned to do, ask to speak with the leadership. Maybe they can explain in a little more detail about their motives. There is always two sides to every story and maybe the leaderships side is unknown.

  15. 9 And the anger of the Lord was kindled against them; and he departed.

The removal of God’s presence from us is the demonstration of God’s displeasure against us. Despair would be upon us if He depart. Our sin and foolishness can drive Him from us.

“You can make this choice by loving the Lord your God, obeying him, and committing yourself firmly to him. This is the key to your life. And if you love and obey the Lord, you will live long in the land the Lord swore to give your ancestors Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.” Deut 30:20 (NLT)

  16. Numbers 12:13
And Moses cried unto the lord saying heal her now o god I beseech thee.
We need God in are life’s because we would be lost and God is amazing because he can heal and so much more Grow with Jesus Amen

  17. The Lord spoke through the cloud to the Aaron and Miriam, but to Moses, whom He had a relationship with, Moses spoke mouth to mouth.

I don’t want to just take people word for what the Lord is saying, but I want to open up the Word of God, and search out things for myself.

His Word declares that we will find Him when we search for Him with all our heart and He will tell us secret things, things hidden in the word that you gotta spend time digging them out. These are the things that are not soon forgotten because it took effort on your part to find them for yourself.

  18. A lose tongue

1 And Miriam and Aaron spake against Moses because of the Ethiopian woman whom he had married: for he had married an Ethiopian woman.
2 And they said, Hath the Lord indeed spoken only by Moses? hath he not spoken also by us? And the Lord heard it.

9 And the anger of the Lord was kindled against them; and he departed.
10 And the cloud departed from off the tabernacle; and, behold, Miriam became leprous, white as snow: and Aaron looked upon Miriam, and, behold, she was leprous.

Be very careful of what you say about your spiritual leaders. Can you imagine what will happened if God were to punish everyone that has spoken I’ll against our pastor and his wife and they were to turn white with leprosy?? Just because the punishment from God is not visual it does not mean they go unpunished.

14 And the Lord said unto Moses, If her father had but spit in her face, should she not be ashamed seven days? let her be shut out from the camp seven days, and after that let her be received in again.

Moses must of had a heart of gold not only did he forgave them but prayed for the healing of his sister. This is an exact example of true forgiveness. Jesus forgave us on the cross Luke 23:34 Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots. JESUS AGAIN FORGAVE IMMEDIATELY ! Holding resentment, grudges, bitterness, will only become a poison in your heart. No one says it better than Jesus himself in
Matthew 18: 21 Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times?
22 Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.

Let us always remember Proverbs 18: 21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.
And make sure that we liberate our hearts through forgiveness, if not we have only ourselves to blame. May the Lord Jesus Christ Bless and protect my Pastor and his beautiful wife and may He bless and protect ALL our leaders as they go through life under the eyes of criticism of this world. In Jesus Name Amen

  19. THE PAIN OF WHEN GOD EXITS

9 And the anger of the Lord was kindled against them; and he departed.
10 And the cloud departed from off the tabernacle; and, behold, Miriam became leprous, white as snow: and Aaron looked upon Miriam, and, behold, she was leprous.

These testimonies seem so foreign to our freewill grace society. YES GOD does love us. But, he is not going to permit us to wreck his kingdom with loose lips and opinionated gossip. GOD loves us enough to protect us from our own demise. GOD loves us enough to keep us from infecting his entire kingdom with negative influence.

The LORD expressed his displeasure with Miriam and Aaron, then “he departed”, then judgement came. The absence of GOD presents the pain of man. When GOD exits, satan steps up and eventually steps in.

We must be diligent about remaining committed to the cause and Kingdom of GOD.

  20. 13 And Moses cried unto the Lord, saying, Heal her now, O God, I beseech thee.

    THERE ARE CONSEQUENCES
When we sin, when we gossip, when we do anything that contradicts the word of God , especially coming against The man or woman of God that God has ordained and put his anointing on, 1 chronicles 16: 21-22.
21 He suffered no man to do them wrong: yea, he reproved kings for their sakes,

22 Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.

So she had to suffer the consequences of her actions even though she was forgiven. When we come to the Lord we are forgiven, even though we’ve been baptized and filled with the Holy Ghost we still will have to suffer the consequences for our actions. But after we are restored we are free of that sin and our punishment is over. We are back in rightstanding, back in the Camp. Thank you Jesus for accountability.

  21. 6 And he said, Hear now my words: If there be a prophet among you, I the Lord will make myself known unto him in a vision, and will speak unto him in a dream.

Even though we have called into the ministry or to lead/direct a ministry, we must overstep our boundaries. We may receive dreams and visions, but are still bound to be under the man of God. We are not equals when it comes to authority, we are to be sub – mitted. God won’t speak to you to rise above or go against the man of God in your life.

  22. Numbers 12:1-2 (MSG)
“Miriam and Aaron talked against Moses behind his back because of his Cushite wife (he had married a Cushite woman). They said, “Is it only through Moses that God speaks? Doesn’t he also speak through us?” God overheard their talk.”

No matter where we are, who we’re talking to, or what we are talking about, God hears EVERYTHING we say.

St. Matt. 12:36-37 says, “But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they will give account thereof in the day of judgment. For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.”

“Idle Words” in the Greek is Rema Argos which means careless or inactive or unprofitable.

So just as every careless, inactive, and unprofitable word Miriam spoke against Moses with, brought judgment in her life. So shall ever careless, inactive, and unprofitable word we speak bring judgment in our life.

So be careful little mouth and tongue what you say.

  23. 4 And the Lord spake suddenly unto Moses, and unto Aaron, and unto Miriam, Come out ye three unto the tabernacle of the congregation. And they three came out.

5 And the Lord came down in the pillar of the cloud, and stood in the door of the tabernacle, and called Aaron and Miriam: and they both came forth.

The Lord was angry at Aaron and Miriam because they spoke against Moses. The Lord knows and hears everything we do. The Lord took action right way when he heard Moses own family talking about him. The Lord has Moses back and will defend him at all cause because Moses is his faithful servant in all His House.

There are consequences when we speak unkind words, especially when it comes to the man of God. Evil doing will not stand for God is our vengeance and our defender. Moses own family spoke unkind of him, if there are families today that speak against your own family member just think of the consequences you’ll face when God suddenly hears it. Don’t want to face leprosy like Miriam.

  24. Numbers 12: 4 At once the Lord said to Moses Aaron and Miriam come out to the tent of the meeting all three of you. So the there of them went out. Then the Lord came down in a pillar of cloud he stood at the entrance to the tent and summon Aaron and Miriam. When the two of them step forward he said Listen to my words. When there is a profit among you I the Lord reveal myself to them in visions. I speak to them in dreams. But this is not true of my servant Moses he is faithful in my house. With him I speak face to face clearly and not in riddles he sees the form of the Lord. Why then where you not afraid to speak against my servant Moses. The anger of the Lord burned against them and he left them. When the cloud lifted from above the tent Miriam’s skin with leopard it became as white as snow. Aaron turned toward her and saw that she had a defining skin disease and he said to Moses Please my lord I ask you not to hold against us the sin we have so foolishly committed. Do not let her be like a still born infant coming from its mother’s womb with it’s flesh half eaten away.

  25. “Miriam and Aaron spake against Moses” yet God only disciplined Miriam and I wondered why not Aaron. Perphaps we will never know because who can question God? We cannot lean on our own understanding exactly “why?”. We can see in vs 6 the Lord says “When there is a prophet among you, I, the LORD, reveal myself to them in visions, I speak to them in dreams.” and Miriam was a prophet (Ex 15:20) and not someone God speaks to directly, face to face as he does Moses. We have to be careful just because we have a place with God doesn’t mean we can abuse it and set ourselves against leadership above us. Its a scary place when the presence of the Lord leaves us after rebuking and we get to sit in our own mess. Miriam had seven days of leperosy cast away from her people, she was ashamed but she was restored. A good question is.. Can we take a spit in the face from the Lord and not swell up with pride? Will we return back to our position or get mad and run away? God disciplines those he loves but He doesn’t want us to stay down. He wants us to get back up stronger and wiser than ever!

  26. 7 My servant Moses is not so, who is faithful in all mine house.

8 With him will I speak mouth to mouth, even apparently, and not in dark speeches; and the similitude of the Lord shall he behold: wherefore then were ye not afraid to speak against my servant Moses?
the relationship that Moses had with God was so special to be able to speak with him mouth to mouth. in our lives our desire should be to develop that level of consecration and relationship with God. we can develop this by first developing a prayerlife and then build upon that through fasting and Bible study these steps can lead us to that deeper more personal relationship with God.

  27. 5) then the lord descended in the pillars of cloud and stood at the entrance of the tabernacle Aaron and Miriam he called and they stepped forward 6) and the LORD said to them now listen to what I say if there were prophets among you I the LORD would reveal myself in vision I would speak to them in dreams 7) bu not with my servant Moses of all my house he is the one I trust 8) I speak to him face to face clearly and not riddles ! He sees the LORD as is so why here you not afraid to criticize my servant Moses

Never mass with the man of God you will make GOD very angry

  28. Repent often and God will forgive. Remember when you repent you should try to turn from the sin and not continue down that path.

  29. You must be careful not to talk about the leadership God has put in position. When speak against them, you speak against God. When we speak against God terrible things can happen. Just because we live in this day and time that doesn’t mean you are excused from speaking against the man or woman of God. Watch what you say and do because God is always watching and listening.

  30. Miriam and Aaron spake against Moses because of the Ethiopian woman whom he had married: for he had married an Ethiopian woman.

  31. 6 And he said, Hear now my words: If there be a prophet among you, I the Lord will make myself known unto him in a vision, and will speak unto him in a dream.

7 My servant Moses is not so, who is faithful in all mine house.

8 With him will I speak mouth to mouth, even apparently, and not in dark speeches; and the similitude of the Lord shall he behold: wherefore then were ye not afraid to speak against my servant Moses?

  32. (Now Moses was very humble—more humble than any other person on earth.) And the Lord said to them, “Now listen to what I say: “If there were prophets among you, I, the Lord , would reveal myself in visions. I would speak to them in dreams. But not with my servant Moses. Of all my house, he is the one I trust.
    Numbers 12:3, 6-7 NLT
    http://bible.com/116/num.12.3-7.NLT

Where did this jealousy come from? I can only say pride for they both go hand in hand. It does not say who was telling who but we can infer it was Miriam for she is the one that got leprosy. The interesting fact is that even the one listening is aa equal partaker of the criticism if its not stopped. The Lord called them bouth out. If they wanted to be “used” of God the key is given here. Moses was humble and won the Lord’s trust. The word of God teaches us that he who wants to be great must be a servant of all and the humble God exalts.

  33. And the Lord spake suddenly unto Moses, and unto Aaron, and unto Miriam, Come out ye three unto the tabernacle of the congregation.

You know sometimes it feels like we need to see God himself come down , or an Angel or some kind of sign to show us what we need to do. God said it we should do it . oftentimes we are hesitant, and doubtful. If we say we believe what Gods word says, then why is my faith not where it needs to be at times?

  34. “With him will I speak mouth to mouth, even apparently, and not in dark speeches; and the similitude of the Lord shall he behold: wherefore then were ye not afraid to speak against my servant Moses?” The word of God (Jesus) indicated there were others that God used, however only Moses, was spoken too clearly and openly. One is better off to pray about something, and let God (Judge) have the situation and do as he sees fit. Dear God, help us (me) in that we (I) seek you and give all things too you. May God Bless America, Israel, Jerusalem, and you all in Jesus name, Amen!

  35. 13 And Moses cried unto the Lord, saying, Heal her now, O God, I beseech thee.

A sign of a great leader.

“Sticks and stones may break my bones but your words will never hurt me!” I remember this childhood slur growing up. The truth was there words did hurt us. There is a point in your Christian walk that we can get to if we run after God. Christ advise to forgive 70 times 7 was not to set a limit, it’s to forgive, and keep forgiving, and after that we can forgive, until it becomes a life style.
To forgive unto death like Christ, that it was described as His passion. To forgive even in the face of death like Steven, begging to forgive as he was being stoned. To forgive fregardless of backbiting or backstabbing like Moses, crying out to God without reserve for Aaron and Miriam.

Just forgive not matter what! One sign of a great leader!

  36. “And Moses cried unto the Lord, saying, Heal her now, O God, I beseech thee.” Moses had just been hurt by his own family, however he humbled self and prayed unto the Lord for them. God help us to pray for others regardless of the circumstance, in Jesus name.

  37. Miriam was shut out of the camp for seven days. One sin of the leader, speaking against Moses caused the progress of thousands of people to stifle. Our sins not only affect us but those around us. We need to think about what we do. Is it worth the consequences? We should let nothing hinder revival.

  38. Bless Them

13 And Moses cried unto the Lord, saying, Heal her now, O God, I beseech thee.

The Bible to says not only forgive but to love those who stand against us, to bless them that curse us and pray for those who despitefully use us. God says that by doing this, we show ourselves to be of Him and we should strive to grow into His example for He completely exemplifies what we are to mature into. If we do not do these things, not only are we hurting ourselves and missing an example to grow in maturity, but we are also withholding blessings to those who need it.

When God allowed the wrong to be committed, He knew that not only would it be an opportunity for us to grow but it would also be an opportunity for someone to be blessed who needed it. When we look at those who hurt us as being people in need of love, blessings, and prayer, we shift our hurt into a different perspective. Instead of simply being something dark and painful and can be an opportunity for life and growth. Perhaps your prayers are what saves their soul, or your kindness that shows them God’s love, or your forgiveness that convicts their heart?

    Matthew 5:44-48
    44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

45 That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.

46 For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same?

47 And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so?

48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

  39. Show me your face Lord

8 With him will I speak mouth to mouth, even apparently, and not in dark speeches; and the similitude of the Lord shall he behold:…

This reminds me of the song “show me your face ”

What an awesome wonder to talk with Jeseus face to face! We can have that today if we will just humble ourselves and pray.

    2chronicles 7:
14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
15 Now mine eyes shall be open, and mine ears attent unto the prayer that is made in this place.
16 For now have I chosen and sanctified this house, that my name may be there for ever: and mine eyes and mine heart shall be there perpetually.
    17 And as for thee, if thou wilt walk before me, as David thy father walked, and do according to all that I have commanded thee, and shalt observe my statutes and my judgments;
18 Then will I stablish the throne of thy kingdom, according as I have covenanted with David thy father, saying, There shall not fail thee a man to be ruler in Israel.

The answer is in the search! We have to seek him to know him.

  40. This chapter depicts Moses as a type of Christ. He had a direct connection with God that was different than the prophets until Christ. Moses is not just a “man of God” like others after Him. He is a close OT equivalent to Christ of the NT. Both of them even brought a new covenant and some form of law or commandments.

  41. Oh what a message from Sunday night about not speakin out against your leaders! It was awesome. One thing that was missed was from he previous chapter though. If we go back a chapter and read we are reminded that just before Aaron and Miriam spoke against Moses’s wife they watched people burn for the speaking out/complaining. After there friends became ashes and dust the leaders begin to complain. about something they might fall

  42. 14 And the Lord said unto Moses, If her father had but spit in her face, should she not be ashamed seven days? let her be shut out from the camp seven days, and after that let her be received in again.

Hallelujah!!! Accountability…if we are not accountable for our actions we are doomed to fail. We are all humans and must accept that we all make mistakes. I am blessed to have a Pastor that will correct me and direct me if he notices me or my family are going the wrong path. Jesus is a God of order and that is how the church should be. We need to be sensitive to His Spirit and let Jesus guide us because I know that we have our own will but He warns me I step out of the line. Jesus plans are sooooo much better than ours. Don’t let go of your dreams for one mistake. This city is depending on us to do the natural and Jesus to the supernatural.

  43. 13 And Moses cried unto the Lord, saying, Heal her now, O God, I beseech thee.

14 And the Lord said unto Moses, If her father had but spit in her face, should she not be ashamed seven days? let her be shut out from the camp seven days, and after that let her be received in again.

Even after the sin she commited, God gave her a chance to bring her back in and forgive, in this instance, she had to be away from camp for 7 days. Why? Sometimes we don’t learn our lesson after a quick repentance. Sometimes God needs to put us in a time out of sorts to make that we have brought our sins before God and and going to turn completely away from them. Sometimes it’s what we need to truly turn to God.

  44. 2 They said, “Has the LORD spoken only through Moses? Hasn’t he spoken through us, too?” But the LORD heard them. 3(Now Moses was very humble—more humble than any other person on earth.)

Even in our own family, as Christians we have to endure the criticism of family members. They will question your commitment to God and call you a hypocrite. But we must humble ourselves during these conversations and continue to speak to our family about God.
