Numbers 15

1 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,

2 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye be come into the land of your habitations, which I give unto you,

3 And will make an offering by fire unto the Lord, a burnt offering, or a sacrifice in performing a vow, or in a freewill offering, or in your solemn feasts, to make a sweet savour unto the Lord, of the herd or of the flock:

4 Then shall he that offereth his offering unto the Lord bring a meat offering of a tenth deal of flour mingled with the fourth part of an hin of oil.

5 And the fourth part of an hin of wine for a drink offering shalt thou prepare with the burnt offering or sacrifice, for one lamb.

6 Or for a ram, thou shalt prepare for a meat offering two tenth deals of flour mingled with the third part of an hin of oil.

7 And for a drink offering thou shalt offer the third part of an hin of wine, for a sweet savour unto the Lord.

8 And when thou preparest a bullock for a burnt offering, or for a sacrifice in performing a vow, or peace offerings unto the Lord:

9 Then shall he bring with a bullock a meat offering of three tenth deals of flour mingled with half an hin of oil.

10 And thou shalt bring for a drink offering half an hin of wine, for an offering made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the Lord.

11 Thus shall it be done for one bullock, or for one ram, or for a lamb, or a kid.

12 According to the number that ye shall prepare, so shall ye do to every one according to their number.

13 All that are born of the country shall do these things after this manner, in offering an offering made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the Lord.

14 And if a stranger sojourn with you, or whosoever be among you in your generations, and will offer an offering made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the Lord; as ye do, so he shall do.

15 One ordinance shall be both for you of the congregation, and also for the stranger that sojourneth with you, an ordinance for ever in your generations: as ye are, so shall the stranger be before the Lord.

16 One law and one manner shall be for you, and for the stranger that sojourneth with you.

17 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,

18 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye come into the land whither I bring you,

19 Then it shall be, that, when ye eat of the bread of the land, ye shall offer up an heave offering unto the Lord.

20 Ye shall offer up a cake of the first of your dough for an heave offering: as ye do the heave offering of the threshingfloor, so shall ye heave it.

21 Of the first of your dough ye shall give unto the Lord an heave offering in your generations.

22 And if ye have erred, and not observed all these commandments, which the Lord hath spoken unto Moses,

23 Even all that the Lord hath commanded you by the hand of Moses, from the day that the Lord commanded Moses, and henceforward among your generations;

24 Then it shall be, if ought be committed by ignorance without the knowledge of the congregation, that all the congregation shall offer one young bullock for a burnt offering, for a sweet savour unto the Lord, with his meat offering, and his drink offering, according to the manner, and one kid of the goats for a sin offering.

25 And the priest shall make an atonement for all the congregation of the children of Israel, and it shall be forgiven them; for it is ignorance: and they shall bring their offering, a sacrifice made by fire unto the Lord, and their sin offering before the Lord, for their ignorance:

26 And it shall be forgiven all the congregation of the children of Israel, and the stranger that sojourneth among them; seeing all the people were in ignorance.

27 And if any soul sin through ignorance, then he shall bring a she goat of the first year for a sin offering.

28 And the priest shall make an atonement for the soul that sinneth ignorantly, when he sinneth by ignorance before the Lord, to make an atonement for him; and it shall be forgiven him.

29 Ye shall have one law for him that sinneth through ignorance, both for him that is born among the children of Israel, and for the stranger that sojourneth among them.

30 But the soul that doeth ought presumptuously, whether he be born in the land, or a stranger, the same reproacheth the Lord; and that soul shall be cut off from among his people.

31 Because he hath despised the word of the Lord, and hath broken his commandment, that soul shall utterly be cut off; his iniquity shall be upon him.

32 And while the children of Israel were in the wilderness, they found a man that gathered sticks upon the sabbath day.

33 And they that found him gathering sticks brought him unto Moses and Aaron, and unto all the congregation.

34 And they put him in ward, because it was not declared what should be done to him.

35 And the Lord said unto Moses, The man shall be surely put to death: all the congregation shall stone him with stones without the camp.

36 And all the congregation brought him without the camp, and stoned him with stones, and he died; as the Lord commanded Moses.

37 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,

38 Speak unto the children of Israel, and bid them that they make them fringes in the borders of their garments throughout their generations, and that they put upon the fringe of the borders a ribband of blue:

39 And it shall be unto you for a fringe, that ye may look upon it, and remember all the commandments of the Lord, and do them ; and that ye seek not after your own heart and your own eyes, after which ye use to go a whoring:

40 That ye may remember, and do all my commandments, and be holy unto your God.

41 I am the Lord your God, which brought you out of the land of Egypt, to be your God: I am the Lord your God.

  1. NEVER FORGET

40 That ye may remember, and do all my commandments, and be holy unto your God.
41 I am the Lord your God, which brought you out of the land of Egypt, to be your God: I am the Lord your God.

Spiritual Amnesia is a dreadful disease. The inability to remember what JESUS has done to and for us is a devastating challenge. People quite often use selective amnesia to conveniently forget a responsibility, commitment or appointments.

We are challenged to make and take whatever precautions necessary to REMEMBER and DO all commandments.

Remember where GOD brought us from. Remember where GOD has brought us to. Remember where GOD has promised to take us.

Remember that JESUS is our GOD. He brought us together to be our GOD. May GOD help us as we help one another to never forget where HE has brought us from.

  2. (‭Numbers‬ ‭15‬:‭38-40‬ KJV)

The Lord showing and reminding His children about His love, and mercy that He has for them. But as a nation we are so consumed with how much rights as individuals we have and feel as if we are missing out. But this is just another way the enemy is deceiving the children of GOD as they become cold to the teachings/instruction of The Lord that they have become cold to what they hear and choose to despise His word. Everyday in the end we all have been given the power of choice,

Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.

With my lips have I declared all the judgments of thy mouth. I have rejoiced in the way of thy testimonies, as much as in all riches. I will meditate in thy precepts, and have respect unto thy ways. I will delight myself in thy statutes: I will not forget thy word. (‭Psalms‬ ‭119‬:‭11, 13-16‬ KJV)

Merciful GOD!!! Thank you, for the LOVING kindness you have shown towards me💖🙌🙏
Bless the Name of our Holy GOD!!!!!

  3. iLove to Grow in the Word
“So the whole community took the man outside the camp and stoned him to death, just as the LORD had commanded Moses.”
    ‭‭Numbers‬ ‭15:36‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Thank the Lord that we now live under grace and mercy…Western Day would have already taken us to see Jesus.😀

13-16 “Every native-born Israelite is to follow this procedure when he brings a Fire-Gift as a pleasing fragrance to God. In future generations, when a foreigner or visitor living at length among you presents a Fire-Gift as a pleasing fragrance to God, the same procedures must be followed. The community has the same rules for you and the foreigner living among you. This is the regular rule for future generations. You and the foreigner are the same before God. The same laws and regulations apply to both you and the foreigner who lives with you.”MSG

YOU AND THE FOREIGNER ARE THE SAME BEFORE GOD.
I don’t have a room mate, but I do have lots of family and friends that I share my life with. I think to carry this put we would just be a wise example of how to bring our sacrifices and offerings to the LORD through our daily activities. What brings GOD glory? What upholds HIS statutes and commandments? What actions speak so loudly that we have the love of THE ONE TRUE LIVING GOD inside of us, pouring out of us, working through us? Be that example, BE JESUS, inspire the foreigners around you. Create in us a clean heart, O GOD, so that we may be pure conduits of your SPIRIT, not polluting the flow of your power. In JESUS name.

  5. A:
    2. Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, WHEN ye be come into the land of your habitations, which I give unto you,

He said WHEN, not IF…God keeps his promises.

    B:
    38. Speak unto the children of Israel, and bid them that they make them fringes in the borders of their garments throughout their generations, and that they put upon the fringe of the borders a ribband of blue:

    39. And it shall be unto you for a fringe, that ye may look upon it, and remember all the commandments of the Lord , and do them; and that ye seek not after your own heart and your own eyes, after which ye use to go a whoring:

    40. That ye may remember, and do all my commandments, and be holy unto your God.

Their dress code not only helped them remember the commandments of God, but others could tell who they were by the way they were dressed. In other words, they didn’t dress like everybody else.

  6. We must remember that God brought us out of sin, not so we can go back to to it. He brought us out ao that we can fulfill a greater purpose. Every time we sin there is a price to pay. We must live the life God intended for us to live. That is to live holy.

  7. 39 When you see the tassels, you will remember and obey all the commands of the Lord instead of following your own desires and defiling yourselves, as you are prone to do.
40 The tassels will help you remember that you must obey all my commands and be holy to your God.
41 I am the Lord your God who brought you out of the land of Egypt that I might be your God. I am the Lord your God!” (NLT)

“Jesus I’ll never forget what You’ve done for me. Jesus I’ll never forget how You set me free. Jesus I’ll never forget how You brought me out. Jesus I’ll never forget, no never!”

  8. 29 Ye shall have one law for him that sinneth through ignorance, both for him that is born among the children of Israel, and for the stranger that sojourneth among them.
30 But the soul that doeth ought presumptuously, whether he be born in the land, or a stranger, the same reproacheth the Lord; and that soul shall be cut off from among his people.

Sinning ignorantly and sinning on purpose are different with God. In ignorance he gave the people the chance to repent or bring the sacrificial offerings shown here. Willful sin was to be cut off and be stoned immediately. While we live in the age of grace, We can’t mistake grace for the opportunity to willfully sin. Rather, through grace, we must remove sin from our lives.

  9. Numbers 15:39:40
“And it shall be unto you for a fringe, that ye may look upon it, and remember all the commandments of the LORD, and do them; and that ye seek not after your own heart and your own eyes, after which ye use to go a whoring: That ye may remember, and do all my commandments, and be holy unto your God.”

If the children of Israel were tempted to sin or do their own thing, all they had to do was look down at the fringe of their garments, and they would be reminded of the commandments of the LORD and reminded to do them.

Today the Word of God is written in and hidden in our hearts so that we don’t sin against Him. It comes to our rememberance and helps us anytime we need it.

  10. 40 That ye may remember, and do all my commandments, and be holy unto your God.

41 I am the Lord your God, which brought you out of the land of Egypt, to be your God: I am the Lord your God.

one message that is consistent throughout the Old Testament is that God is there God. he wanted them to know that he was Jehovah to them and that the words that he spoke we’re personal words from Jehovah God to His people. that’s why elsewere where he said he was a jealous God he always wanted to remind his people who they served and who delivered them from the land of Egypt. it is important never to forget the God That we serve.

  11. 38 Speak unto the children of Israel, and bid them that they make them fringes in the borders of their garments throughout their generations, and that they put upon the fringe of the borders a ribband of blue:

39 And it shall be unto you for a fringe, that ye may look upon it, and remember all the commandments of the Lord, and do them ; and that ye seek not after your own heart and your own eyes, after which ye use to go a whoring:

40 That ye may remember, and do all my commandments, and be holy unto your God.

41 I am the Lord your God, which brought you out of the land of Egypt, to be your God: I am the Lord your God.

God wants us to obey the commandments and not let anything get in the way . He has the power to do all things in Jesus name.

  12. 3 And will make an offering by fire unto the Lord, a burnt offering, or a sacrifice in performing a vow, or in a freewill offering, or in your solemn feasts, to make a sweet savour unto the Lord, of the herd or of the flock

  14. 30“But those who brazenly violate the LORD’s will, whether native-born Israelites or foreigners, have blasphemed the LORD, and they must be cut off from the community.

Those who willingly disobey God will be punished. Today, so many disregard God that they don’t care if they are disobedient or not. They have no fear of God.

  15. Numbers 15:32 Whilel the Israelites were in the wilderness a man was found gathering wood on the Sabbath day. Those who found him gathering wood brought him to Moses and Aaron and the whole assembly and they kept him in custody because it was not clear what should be done to him. Then the Lord said to Moses the man must die. The whole assembly must stone him outside the camp. So the assembly took him outside the camp and stone him to death as the Lord commanded. The Lord said to Moses speak to the Israelites and say to them. Throughout the generations to come you are to make tassel on the corners of your garments with blue cord on each tassel. You will have these tassels to look at and so you will remember all the commandments of the Lord that you may obey them and not prostitute yourselves by chasing after the lusts of your own hearts and eyes. Then you will remember to obey all my commands and will be consecrated to your God. I am the Lord your God who brought you out of Egypt to be your God. I am the Lord your God.

  16. “Quick-tempered leaders are like mad dogs— cross them and they bite your head off.”
    ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭20:2‬

It may feel good in the moment to respond harshly. However, when reflecting on the conversation most of the time there is regret. It takes practice.

  17. 24 Then it shall be, if ought be committed by ignorance without the knowledge of the congregation, that all the congregation shall offer one young bullock for a burnt offering, for a sweet savour unto the Lord, with his meat offering, and his drink offering, according to the manner, and one kid of the goats for a sin offering.

25 And the priest shall make an atonement for all the congregation of the children of Israel, and it shall be forgiven them; for it is ignorance: and they shall bring their offering, a sacrifice made by fire unto the Lord, and their sin offering before the Lord, for their ignorance:

Sin can be knowingly and also unknowingly, you may know that you have sinned and you may not have known. When you ask God to forgive you daily, you should ask him to forgive you of both of those. Ask him to reveal the times you did sin that you didn’t know about or realize so you can cover it with the blood, learn from it and move on from it.

  18. And it shall be unto you for a fringe, that ye may look upon it, and remember all the commandments of the Lord, and do them ; and that ye seek not after your own heart and your own eyes, after which ye use to go a whoring:
40 That ye may remember, and do all my commandments, and be holy unto your God.
41 I am the Lord your God, which brought you out of the land of Egypt, to be your God: I am the Lord your God.

  19. 39 And it shall be unto you for a fringe, that ye may look upon it, and remember all the commandments of the Lord, and do them ; and that ye seek not after your own heart and your own eyes, after which ye use to go a whoring:

40 That ye may remember, and do all my commandments, and be holy unto your God.

41 I am the Lord your God, which brought you out of the land of Egypt, to be your God: I am the Lord your God.

  20. Numbers 15:38-40 (NLT)

38 “Give the following instructions to the people of Israel: Throughout the generations to come you must make tassels for the hems of your clothing and attach them with a blue cord. 39 When you see the tassels, you will remember and obey all the commands of the Lord instead of following your own desires and defiling yourselves, as you are prone to do. 40 The tassels will help you remember that you must obey all my commands and be holy to your God.

    Matthew 23:5 (KJV Strong’s)

5 But all their works they do for to be seen of men: they make broad their phylacteries, and enlarge the borders of their garments,

The Jews were commanded to place tassels on their garments to symbolize their humility, and righteousness. They would remember that God had delivered them when they looked down at their feet. In other words they weren’t standing there because of themselves. It was because of God.

The Pharisees wanted people to believe that they were really righteous, and super humble. They made their tassels longer so the people would admire them and see their piety.

True righteousness and humility isn’t found in over exaggerating our supposed righteousness. That’s pride. True righteousness and humility is in simple obedience. The tassels were their testimony and they perverted it to be not what God had done but what they had done.

  21. 39. And you shall jab the tassel, that you may look upon it and remember all the commandments of the Lord and do them, and that you may not follow the harlotry to which your own heart and your own eyes are inclined.
    40. And that you may remember and do all My commandments, and be holy for your God.

  22. “One law and one manner shall be for you, and for the stranger that sojourneth with you.” The word of God (Jesus) said there was too be one way. One would be very wise to pray about anyone/anything that attempts to introduce another way. Dear God, awaken us and stir us so that we never forget that we were founded as a one God fearing nation. May God Bless America, Israel, Jerusalem, and you all in Jesus name, Amen!

  23. “But the soul that doeth ought presumptuously, whether he be born in the land, or a stranger, the same reproacheth the Lord; and that soul shall be cut off from among his people.” The Lord provided a way for those that did unknowingly, however those that were aware were held liable. The Lord is well aware of what we do and do not know, which we will also answer for one day. God help us do what is right in your sight; so that we have no regrets later, in Jesus name.

  24. 18 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye come into the land whither I bring you,

19 Then it shall be, that, when ye eat of the bread of the land, ye shall offer up an heave offering unto the Lord.

God is bringing us to the land He desires we must be ready to gather the fruit of the land and offer it first back to Him. Maybe it finacial, physical healing, wisdom, strength, etc. Whatever it may be we must offer it back to him and He will multiply it!

  25. The sabbath is our time to no longer follow the rat race of life and to relax and enjoy time with family and with God. It is the antithesis to Pharaohs restless work schedule, which is not that different from the business of this life. The one thing that was required to be a part of the community was observing the sabbath. This one decided not to do that and was father wood, I.e. Looking for resources. Let us try to remember that God and family are more valuable than chasing money and life.

  26. Well he didn’t know any better…

I was pulled over for speeding in a school zone when I was about 17 years old. I was going 35 in a 20. The speed limit in the rest of the neighborhood was 35 and there were no signs in the area that I could see. The way I turned down the road there were no signs saying it was a school zone so I started going what I thought was the soles limit. I get pulled over and I explained my situation to the police officer but he gave me a ticket anyway. I took the ticket to court because I truly believed that when the judge heard what happened he would at least make the fine smaller. I went in and explained the situation again and what the Judge said was this”
Ignorance of the law is not justification for breaking it. ” just because someone doesn’t know the correct way doesn’t make it ok for them to go the wrong way.

  27. All sin is sin and requires atonement. Scripture also distinguishes between two kinds of sin, prescribing different methods for dealing with each. In this chapter, God calls for unintentional sin- sin that is committed accidentally- to be handled gently and mercifully, with the motive of the sinner mind. At the same time, God orders that intentional sin- especially sin that is committed in deliberate defiance of him- must receive swift, strict and severe consequences. In order to help keep the Israelites from sinning in either manner, God commands them to wear blue tassels on their clothing. Like a string tied around a finger, these tassels serve as daily reminders not to sin. Today we have something far better than such a physical reminder: the Holy Spirit, who lives within our hearts and who, moment-by-moment, reminds us of God’s commands and pricks our consciences when necessary, encouraging us to be obedient.

  28. 38 Speak unto the children of Israel, and bid them that they make them fringes in the borders of their garments throughout their generations, and that they put upon the fringe of the borders a ribband of blue:

39 And it shall be unto you for a fringe, that ye may look upon it, and remember all the commandments of the Lord, and do them ; and that ye seek not after your own heart and your own eyes, after which ye use to go a whoring:

40 That ye may remember, and do all my commandments, and be holy unto your God.

41 I am the Lord your God, which brought you out of the land of Egypt, to be your God: I am the Lord your God.

That we not forget to do the commandments. The Lord wants is to not forget what he asks of us and keep holy and sanctified.

  29. Verses 39-40 MSG “When you look at these tassels you’ll remember and keep all the commandments of God, and not get distracted by everything you feel or see that seduces you into infidelities. The tassels will signal remembrance and observance of all my commandments, to live a holy life to God.” Same verses AMP “It shall be a tassel for you to look at and remember all the commandments of the Lord, to do them, so that you do not follow after [the desires of] your own heart and eyes, [desires] after which you used to follow and play the prostitute, so that you may remember to do all My commandments and be holy (set apart) to your God.”

Romans 12:2 AMP says “And do not be conformed to this world [any longer with its superficial values and customs], but be [a]transformed and progressively changed [as you mature spiritually] by the renewing of your mind [focusing on godly values and ethical attitudes], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His plan and purpose for you].”

  30. 1 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying

To me this is just amazing because He spoke to Moses so many times…just shows to me that God talks to us all the time we just have to pay attention to Him and put Him first. No matter what the world says Jesus loves us so much that He died for us and yet many people don’t believe that. Lord I pray that you speak to me all the time help me understand and feel what u want me to do. You are the only one that can guide me through the right path… Help me be brave and see being my own needs and keep having a burden for the lost!!!! I’m just excited of the harvest that is going to come Hallelujah!!!!

  31. 14 And if a stranger sojourn with you, or whosoever be among you in your generations, and will offer an offering made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the Lord; as ye do, so he shall do.

The gentile shall have a part with the people of God if they obey. This is what he is saying, that even the stranger is to obey the Lord and there offering be a sweet savour unto the Lord.

His is old school disciple making. Many people don’t understand what we believe and why we believe it. Even my own parents that of the Apostolic church that comes from Mexico, seem to think that we are too fanatic about Jesus. It seems stranger that people speak in tongues all the time, and that people have an extravagant worship style. There belief in my opinion is self righteous because they believe the word, but to what fits them.

Save us from becoming numb to the move of your Spirit of God.
