  1. 39 These things ye shall do unto the Lord in your set feasts, beside your vows, and your freewill offerings, for your burnt offerings, and for your meat offerings, and for your drink offerings, and for your peace offerings.

40 And Moses told the children of Israel according to all that the Lord commanded Moses.

  2. iLove to Grow in the Word

6These special sacrifices are in addition to your regular monthly and daily burnt offerings, and they must be given with their prescribed grain offerings and liquid offerings. These offerings are given as a special gift to the lord, a pleasing aroma to him.

God always has and will have times and seasons in which he calls and requires for us to add to what we are doing for Him. Tithes, offerings, missions, IFT, chairs and squares, and yes God always has a season for more. It’s time to Grow up. 🙂

  3. 6 These special sacrifices are in addition to your regular monthly and daily burnt offerings, and they must be given with their prescribed grain offerings and liquid offerings. These offerings are given as a special gift to the Lord, a pleasing aroma to him. (NLT)

Additional gifts we give are special to God. Like any relationship the more you give the more you receive. The Lord has an abundance of blessings for us; are we truly giving all we can? Are we giving “in addition” special gifts to the Lord?

  4. 39 These things ye shall do unto the Lord in your set feasts, beside your vows, and your freewill offerings, for your burnt offerings, and for your meat offerings, and for your drink offerings, and for your peace offerings.
what sticks out to me in this first is that all of these various offerings and sacrifices that we read before hand were to be given beside their vows and beside their free will offering. that means in addition to those offerings they were to do everything else that this chapter shows a continual amount of sacrifice and offering unto the Lord.

  5. GIVE MORE GROW MORE

GOD gives clear instructions on how to give.

    SACRIFICIALLY

Feast offerings are beside or along with:

    VOWS – IFT
Freewill Offerings – General Fund Offerings
    Burnt offerings – Missions Offerings
Meat Offerings – SEED Ministry Offerings
Drink Offerings – Chairs and Squares Offerings
Peace Offerings – Church Ministry Offerings

Notice there are 5 Offerings above and beyond our VOW – Pledges and ALL of these offerings are after FIRSTFRUIT – TITHE.

It is no wonder so many people are broke with embarrassing credit scores. We should give an offering for every bill we pay or maybe we send a distorted message in regards to who is our GOD.

JESUS be LORD of ALL in my life.

    iRepent
    iPraise
    iPray
    iWork
    iGive
    iReap

  6. “In Addition To” and “Over and Above”

Numbers 29:6, “These special sacrifices are” in addition to” your regular monthly and daily burnt offerings, and they must be given with their prescribed grain offerings and liquid offerings. These offerings are given as a special gift to the LORD, a pleasing aroma to him.” (NLT)
Numbers 29:6, “These are all “over and above” the monthly and daily Whole-Burnt Offerings with their Grain-Offerings and Drink-Offerings as prescribed, a pleasing fragrance, a Fire-Gift to God.” (MSG)

Our IFT PROJECT PRAY CARD says…
Pray for: A Heart of Sacrifice and A Desire to Give

So “in addition to and over and above” our weekly and monthly giving, and that includes the vow we made to Missions or IFT or anything else, we need to Sacrifice and Give MORE to God. When we do, it becomes a pleasing fragrance and aroma to Him.

So Sacrifice and Give MORE Cheerfully because God Loves a Cheerful Giver!

  7. 39 These things ye shall do unto the Lord in your set feasts, beside your vows, and your freewill offerings, for your burnt offerings, and for your meat offerings, and for your drink offerings, and for your peace offerings.

  8. Everything is a process. God has specific even for how we bring our offering of sacrifice to Him. He doesn’t want even our praise that is tainted with disdain or worldliness, He wants every thing to be set apart, holy, separate, pleasing unto Himself.

  9. Numbers 29:35 On the eighth day hold a closing special assembly and do no regular work. Percent is an aroma pleasing to the Lord a food offering consisting of a burnt offering of one bull one ram and seven male lambs a year old all without defect. With the bull the ram and the lambs offer their grain offerings and drink offerings according to the number specified. Include one male goat as a sin offering in addition to the regular burnt offering with its grain offering and drink offering. In addition to what you vow and your freewill offering offer these to the Lord at your appointed festivals your burnt offerings grain offerings drink offerings and fellowship of offerings. Moses told the Israelites all that the Lord commanded him.

  10. It is in Black and white

7 And ye shall have on the tenth day of this seventh month an holy convocation; and ye shall afflict your souls: ye shall not do any work therein:

12 And on the fifteenth day of the seventh month ye shall have an holy convocation; ye shall do no servile work, and ye shall keep a feast unto the Lord seven days:

If we were to look at this the legal way there is a great difference between “not do any work” and “not do any servile work”. This being said it is as clear as a bell, no work means exactly that no work at all; but no “servile work” means no hard labor as of or pertaining to or of a slave. So, yes in this case if is the fifteenth. Day of the seventh month you can water your garden, do dishes, cook, etc but don’t go dig a ditch or mix mortar or built a house . I guess now a day our sabbath is more of no servile work. God makes it very clear and is written very easily. All the answer you will ever need is in the bible written in black and white!!!

  11. These things shall do unto the Lord in your set feasts, beside your vows, and your freewill offerings, for your burnt offerings, and for your meat offerings, and for your drink offerings, and for your peace offerings.

  12. Proverbs 5:8-14
You don’t want to squander your wonderful life, to waste your precious life among the hardhearted. Why should you allow strangers to take advantage of you? Why be exploited by those who care nothing for you? You don’t want to end your life full of regrets, nothing but sin and bones, Saying, “Oh, why didn’t I do what they told me? Why did I reject a disciplined life? Why didn’t I listen to my mentors, or take my teachers seriously? My life is ruined! I haven’t one blessed thing to show for my life!

  13. 6) besides the burnt offering of the month, and his meat offering and the daily burnt offering and his meat offering and their drink offering, according unto their manner for a sweet savour a sacrifice made by fire unto the LORD

  14. 13 And ye shall offer a burnt offering, a sacrifice made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the Lord; thirteen young bullocks, two rams, and fourteen lambs of the first year; they shall be without blemish:

A sacrifice made by fire of a sweet savor untonthe lord! Everything we give God mist be our very best!

  15. 39 These things ye shall do unto the Lord in your set feasts, beside your vows, and your freewill offerings, for your burnt offerings, and for your meat offerings, and for your drink offerings, and for your peace offerings.

  16. God will bring his people to their new home for they must worship him there.
What a parallel to our own experience. We can worship the Lord on our spiritual journey here and Now. But we know God will bring us safely to Him stooges end and.that we will worship Him perfectly in heaven.

  17. 6 Beside the burnt offering of the month, and his meat offering, and the daily burnt offering, and his meat offering, and their drink offerings, according unto their manner, for a sweet savour, a sacrifice made by fire unto the Lord.

  18. Numbers 29:39

39 These things ye shall do unto the Lord in your set feasts, beside your vows, and your freewill offerings, for your burnt offerings, and for your meat offerings, and for your drink offerings, and for your peace offerings.

We don’t need to think that just because we give sacrificially or are faithfully giving our tithes and offering that we are absolved from keeping our vows to God.

Our baptism was a confession to God and everyone that we would love for him and do his will. We must always remain faithful to both: his will and our giving to him!

    Matthew 23:23

23 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.

  19. Verse 39 CEV “You must offer all these sacrifices to me at the appointed times of worship, together with any offerings that are voluntarily given or given because of a promise.” Give unto the Lord with a heart of sacrifice and a desire to give. If we do all these things as a body, all financial goals will be exceeded. We will also see the spiritual and numerical growth in Jesus name.

  20. 39 These things ye shall do unto the Lord in your set feasts, beside your vows, and your freewill offerings, for your burnt offerings, and for your meat offerings, and for your drink offerings, and for your peace offerings.

40 And Moses told the children of Israel according to all that the Lord commanded Moses.

God gives direction through his man. Here it was Moses. He called for more but gave specific directions. God may call us toward more but he will not just let us wander in the dark trying to figure out what to do. He has a plan laid out for us.

  21. The opportunity to give

In reading all the things and ways that they offers sacrifice to the Lord I often think ” do they have any animals left?” The truth is there is always an opportunity to give. God gives us ways to figure out how to give so that we would be blessed. He makes a way for us to be blessed, we just have to look for the opportunity.

  22. 2 And ye shall offer a burnt offering for a sweet savour unto the Lord; one young bullock, one ram, and seven lambs of the first year without blemish: 3 And their meat offering shall be of flour mingled with oil, three tenth deals for a bullock, and two tenth deals for a ram, 4 And one tenth deal for one lamb, throughout the seven lambs: 5 And one kid of the goats for a sin offering, to make an atonement for you.
The Lord provided specific measurements for the offering. An offering should be prepared properly so that the savour is sweet unto the Lord. God help us too be prayerful in preparing our offering so that they may be sweet unto you, in Jesus name.

  23. “These things ye shall do unto the Lord in your set feasts, beside your vows, and your freewill offerings, for your burnt offerings, and for your meat offerings, and for your drink offerings, and for your peace offerings.” The word of God (Jesus) said this was in addition to. They were required to take care of their vows and offerings, which one should be just as mindful of today. Dear God, let us be conscious of our commitments, and help us to fulfill them. God Bless America, Israel, Jerusalem, and you all in Jesus name, Amen!

  24. “” ‘Each month and each day you must bring burnt offerings. Bring them along with their grain offerings and drink offerings as they are required. ” ‘The offerings for the Feast of Trumpets are in addition to them. They are offerings that are made to the Lord with fire. They have a pleasant smell.”
    ‭‭Numbers‬ ‭29:6‬ ‭NIRV‬‬

What we offer Him has to be pure and in order. Not tainted or of someone else’s measurements.

“But the king replied to Araunah, “No. I want to pay you for it. I won’t sacrifice to the Lord my God burnt offerings that haven’t cost me anything.” So David bought the threshing floor and the oxen. He paid 20 ounces of silver for them. David built an altar there to honor the Lord. He sacrificed burnt offerings and friendship offerings. Then the Lord answered prayer and blessed the land. The plague on Israel was stopped.”
    ‭‭2 Samuel‬ ‭24:24-25‬ ‭NIRV‬‬

  25. There was a specific word that was repeated!

“of a sweet savour unto the Lord, ”

This is the key to our worship, that when it goes up before God it is pleasing to His senses. It reminds me of when I’m extremely hungry and momma is cooking after the week long fast, the sweet savour that’s goes up. I can imagine how pleasing it is to God when we worship in spirit and in truth, it pleases him, he takes pleasure in our worship.

  26. Peace offering

These things ye shall do unto the Lord in your set feasts, beside your vows, and your freewill offerings, for your burnt offerings, and for your meat offerings, and for your drink offerings, and for your peace offerings.

The peace offering was a sweet savor to God. It was a offering that had nothing to do with sin but peace. If we want to bring a “just because” to God bring peace. Hebrews 12:14 says “Follow peace with all men…” It send a sweet aroma to God when we are a place of peace.

  27. 40iSo Moses gave all of these instructions to the people of Israel as the LORD had commanded him.

Wow! So many instructions to follow. Imagine if we had to do these sacrifices today, there would be no church members. But thank God, our Jesus sacrificed himself for our sins!

  28. 39 These things ye shall do unto the Lord in your set feasts, beside your vows, and your freewill offerings, for your burnt offerings, and for your meat offerings, and for your drink offerings, and for your peace offerings.

  29. 6 These special sacrifices are in addition to your regular monthly and daily burnt offerings, and they must be given with their prescribed grain offerings and liquid offerings. These offerings are given as a special gift to the Lord, a pleasing aroma to him. (NLT)

In addition..More. Neverending. Always flowing…. These are just few words that came to mind as I read over and over of all the offerings being asked that are a sweet aroma unto the Lord.  One may just say wow thats a lot of offerings and a lot of sacrifices, a lot of animals offered as a sin offering and burnt offering and free offering…. The most wonderful thing if we really think about it. They never ran out.  There was always something to give and the people of God gave.  Now we are presented with the opportunity to do so.  Its about trusting in God.  The resources will not vanish but the owner of it all, our Lord Jesus will always provide.

  30. 39 These things ye shall do unto the Lord in your set feasts, beside your vows, and your freewill offerings, for your burnt offerings, and for your meat offerings, and for your drink offerings, and for your peace offerings.

40 And Moses told the children of Israel according to all that the Lord commanded Moses.

Moses followed every command that God asked him to do. The things that God is asking us to do here are sacrifices and by obeying him we are being submissive to his command. Lord You know when an honest heart is willing to give their all for you. Blessed be your name.

  31. Tithes and offerings are something that show Hod that we love and respect him and his thoughts. We need to be obedient and diligent about them even when we think they might not matter.

  32. 1 And in the seventh month, on the first day of the month, ye shall have an holy convocation; ye shall do no servile work: it is a day of blowing the trumpets unto you.

The 7th month and the time of these feasts were between their harvest time and prior to seeding time-a time of the year where they should have been enjoying the fruits of their labor and enjoying some rest. God uses this time bring their attention to him-rejoicing over his blessings with the ability and desire to give back to God. It’s not just rest for them, it’s rest IN him with the sacrifice of praise and offerings.
