Numbers 34

1 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,

2 Command the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye come into the land of Canaan; (this is the land that shall fall unto you for an inheritance, even the land of Canaan with the coasts thereof:)

3 Then your south quarter shall be from the wilderness of Zin along by the coast of Edom, and your south border shall be the outmost coast of the salt sea eastward:

4 And your border shall turn from the south to the ascent of Akrabbim, and pass on to Zin: and the going forth thereof shall be from the south to Kadeshbarnea, and shall go on to Hazaraddar, and pass on to Azmon:

5 And the border shall fetch a compass from Azmon unto the river of Egypt, and the goings out of it shall be at the sea.

6 And as for the western border, ye shall even have the great sea for a border: this shall be your west border.

7 And this shall be your north border: from the great sea ye shall point out for you mount Hor:

8 From mount Hor ye shall point out your border unto the entrance of Hamath; and the goings forth of the border shall be to Zedad:

9 And the border shall go on to Ziphron, and the goings out of it shall be at Hazarenan: this shall be your north border.

10 And ye shall point out your east border from Hazarenan to Shepham:

11 And the coast shall go down from Shepham to Riblah, on the east side of Ain; and the border shall descend, and shall reach unto the side of the sea of Chinnereth eastward:

12 And the border shall go down to Jordan, and the goings out of it shall be at the salt sea: this shall be your land with the coasts thereof round about.

13 And Moses commanded the children of Israel, saying, This is the land which ye shall inherit by lot, which the Lord commanded to give unto the nine tribes, and to the half tribe:

14 For the tribe of the children of Reuben according to the house of their fathers, and the tribe of the children of Gad according to the house of their fathers, have received their inheritance; and half the tribe of Manasseh have received their inheritance:

15 The two tribes and the half tribe have received their inheritance on this side Jordan near Jericho eastward, toward the sunrising.

16 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,

17 These are the names of the men which shall divide the land unto you: Eleazar the priest, and Joshua the son of Nun.

18 And ye shall take one prince of every tribe, to divide the land by inheritance.

19 And the names of the men are these: Of the tribe of Judah, Caleb the son of Jephunneh.

20 And of the tribe of the children of Simeon, Shemuel the son of Ammihud.

21 Of the tribe of Benjamin, Elidad the son of Chislon.

22 And the prince of the tribe of the children of Dan, Bukki the son of Jogli.

23 The prince of the children of Joseph, for the tribe of the children of Manasseh, Hanniel the son of Ephod.

24 And the prince of the tribe of the children of Ephraim, Kemuel the son of Shiphtan.

25 And the prince of the tribe of the children of Zebulun, Elizaphan the son of Parnach.

26 And the prince of the tribe of the children of Issachar, Paltiel the son of Azzan.

27 And the prince of the tribe of the children of Asher, Ahihud the son of Shelomi.

28 And the prince of the tribe of the children of Naphtali, Pedahel the son of Ammihud.

29 These are they whom the Lord commanded to divide the inheritance unto the children of Israel in the land of Canaan.

  1. 11 And the coast shall go down from Shepham to Riblah, on the east side of Ain; and the border shall descend, and shall reach unto the side of the sea of Chinnereth eastward:

  2. 2. “Give these instructions to the Israelites: When you come into the land of Canaan, which I am giving you as your special possession, these will be the boundaries. NLT

Even the Promised Land came with boundaries.

Many people see boundaries as just restrictions or limits to what they want to do but they are there for our own protection. When we ‘push the boundaries’, we are flirting with disaster and tampering with the very thing meant to keep us safe.

  3. iLove to Grow in the Word

““Give these instructions to the Israelites: When you come into the land of Canaan, which I am giving you as your special possession, these will be the boundaries.”
    ‭‭Numbers‬ ‭34:2‬ ‭NLT‬‬

There always has been and there will always be boundaries in which the Children of God must obey. Boundaries keep us safe inside and keeps danger outside. Our standards are our boundaries and it’s a shame that we’ve allowed the world to determine them rather than allowing the Lord to establish them. I say we should return to the boundaries that God has set and remove the pagan influence from our midst.

  4. Verse 2 AMP says “Command the Israelites, ‘When you enter the land of Canaan, this is the land that shall be yours as an inheritance, the land of Canaan according to its boundaries,”. They (Israelites) were about to enter their promised land and the Lord was instructing them concerning their boundaries (to know what was theirs). It is time to take this city, from the east to the west and from the north to the south.

The end of the chapter says in verse 29 AMP “These are the [twelve] men whom the Lord commanded [to work with Joshua and Eleazar] to divide the inheritance to the sons of Israel in the land of Canaan.” I believe that the Lord has placed each and every one of us here for this appointed time to work with our Pastors and leaders that the Lord has commanded to lead POFW.

  5. God’s has set specific boundaries for three children of Israel. This is not something to argue about. This is a promise of God. It is not to be compromised or taken lightly.

  6. “Give these instructions to the Israelites: When you come into the land of Canaan, which I am giving you as your special possession, these will be the boundaries. (‭Numbers‬ ‭34‬:‭2‬ NLT)

Stay within your land that the Lord has given you. Why seek to go further?everything you have or ever need is in front of you. The grass isn’t always greener on the other side. The land that you have inherited is blessed, and there is plenty to share!!

  7. God prepared and inheritance for the Israelites. He also has prepared an inheritance for us if we will follow his commandments for salvation.

John 14:3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

  8. “And the LORD said to Moses, “Eleazar the priest and Joshua son of Nun are the men designated to divide the grants of land among the people. Enlist one leader from each tribe to help them with the task.”
    ‭‭Numbers‬ ‭34:16-18‬ ‭NLT‬‬

The Lord gives us a great leadership quality called delegation. Delegating a task needs to be done with S.M.A.R.T. goals. The goal was Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic and Timely.

“Good planning and hard work lead to prosperity, but hasty shortcuts lead to poverty.”
    ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭21:5‬ ‭NLT‬‬

  9. 16 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,
17 These are the names of the men which shall divide the land unto you: Eleazar the priest, and Joshua the son of Nun.

Jesus has hand picked people whom He wants to “call the shots”. So why do we as humans jockey and fight for positions and titles? PRIDE. Pride come before the fall. we have all heard that, and we al know it, but yet we still do it. We must become humble, and trust the Creator, that He knows what He is doing, and that its all for our best.

  10. 2 “Command the People of Israel. Tell them: When you enter Canaan, these are the borders of the land you are getting as an inheritance: MSG
There is a reason why Pastor preaches we have to have boundaries it is for our own safety. As a parent I didn’t set boundaries just cause I wanted to I set them so my girls didn’t get hurt. That’s why we as Christians have boundaries on where to go and where not to go. I have people tell me how come you can’t do this or that, my response I can I CHOOSE not to do some things.

  11. 16 And the LORD said to Moses, 17“Eleazar the priest and Joshua son of Nun are the men designated to divide the grants of land among the people. 18 Enlist one leader from each tribe to help them with the task.

Can you imagine trying to divide the land among the tribes. Imagine the disagreements, the shouting, and stress involved. So the Lord selected the two best individuals to make those decisions. I believe Eleazar & Joshua were selected because they were men of God, who people trusted, respected and honored. People have faith and follow men/women who demonstrate these characteristics, without them a leader will have no support from people.

  12. Proverbs 10:17 The road to life is a disciplined life; ignore correction and you’re lost for good.

I understand that we each must find our own way into adulthood and into life itself. Fine tuning our relationship with the Lord is the ultimate goal. We have learned to build on a solid foundation or the trials of life may destroy what we have built. Leaving everything you know to be good and true is foolish. No, it is more than foolish, it is stupid. I was going to say ignorant but the definition for ignorant reads: lacking knowledge or awareness in general; uneducated. If you have any affiliation with POFW and the awesome teaching/preaching then you have knowledge and awareness of who God is. Stupid is defined as: lacking intelligence or common sense.

John Wayne was said “Life is hard, it is even harder if you are stupid.” I have made stupid decisions in my life. I have made ignorant decisions in my life. I have seen and lived with the results. I stand at the cliff that I have already went over and have climbed back up and I am waving the caution flag – don’t do this! It is dangerous! Stop! Turn back! There are life threatening issues ahead! I love you, please turn around!

  13. 2 “Give these instructions to the Israelites: When you come into the land of Canaan, which I am giving you as your special possession, these will be the boundaries. (NLT)

Boundaries keep us in His will; I thank God for boundaries! They are what make us distinct and separate from this world. Our God is holy and He calls us to be like Him, so we too should act and walk in a holy manner, keeping a boundary between us and the sin of this world.

    Leviticus 11:45
For I am the Lord that bringeth you up out of the land of Egypt, to be your God: ye shall therefore be holy, for I am holy.

    Leviticus 20:7
Sanctify yourselves therefore, and be ye holy: for I am the Lord your God.

    1 Peter 1:16
Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.

  14. 2 Command the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye come into the land of Canaan; (this is the land that shall fall unto you for an inheritance, even the land of Canaan with the coasts thereof:

  15. 1 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying

Did HE have to speak to Moses ? No, HE could’ve chosen to do it differently, but GOD in HIS great mercy and love gave us one of many great privileges and that is to have a relationship with HIM. PRAY WITHOUT CEASING. HALELUJAH!!!

  16. 2. “Give these instructions to the Israelites: When you come into the land of Canaan, which I am giving you as your special possession, these will be the boundaries. NLT
it’s amazing to see how that even in the promised land there were boundaries and there were specific areas that everyone was supposed to dwell in . What this shows me is that no matter how high we get in our goals are objectives in life and no matter how much Spiritual Authority we have it should always operate within God’s boundaries and limitations. No one is ever free to do anything they want anytime they want to they must be bound by the spirit of God and by good Godly counsel as well.

  17. UNITED WE POSSESS

29 These are they whom the Lord commanded to divide the inheritance unto the children of Israel in the land of Canaan.

It was inspiring to me that all of the survivors had a part in the inheritance. Many of them grieving the loss of loved ones in the wilderness, they pressed on and followed the man of GOD. They now find themselves in position to be beneficiaries of the promise land of GOD.

We live in a comparable opportunity today. We are no doubt suffering the loss of loved ones on the journey. However we have great hope and promise for our future. We have been promised an eternal home with the LORD with nothing but light, peace and joy.

On our journey to this eternal promised land we are privileged to inherit and possess land and spoils. As we maintain UNITY we will all be included. Today lets GROW our PRAYER in UNITY and prevail for the coming promises of GOD. We will all be BLESSED.

  18. Numbers 34:2 (NLT)
“Give these instructions to the Israelites: When you come into the land of Canaan, which I am giving you as your special possession, these will be the boundaries.”

When the children of Israel come into the Promised Land, there will be boundaries set for them.
When we come to God, there are boundaries set for us. When we live in the boundaries God has set for us, we will be safe and blessed, but if we step out of those boundaries, it leads to spiritual destruction and death.

    Stay Within The Boundaries!

  19. 2. “Give these instructions to the Israelites: When you come into the land of Canaan, which I am giving you as your special possession, these will be the boundaries. NLT

Even the Promised Land came with boundaries.

  20. This chapter should be called setting borders or dividing the inheritance. We all need to set borders, and we have a holy inheritance with Jesus Christ.

    “Be an Inheriter”…………………..

  21. Because they had wandered in so many places, the children of Israel were no doubt familiar with some of the lands and their borders. They had been wandering around and them for years. And in calling out the men who were to divide the land, God called these men by name. Which translates to us that he knows us by name. When we call on God, he knows who we are and what our needs are. He knows the future he has planned us individually! Praise God for our inheritance!

  22. Canaan’s Boundaries

34:1,2 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying, 2. Command the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye come into the land of Canaan; (this is the land that shall fall unto you for an inheritance, even the land of Canaan with the coasts thereof:)

Gen.17:8 And I will give unto thee,, and to thy seed after thee, the land wherein thou art a stranger, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession; and I will be their God.

Psalm 78:54,55 And he brought them to the border of his sanctuary, even to this mountain, which his right hand had purchased. He cast out the heathen also before them, and divided them an inheritance by line, and made the tribes of Israel to dwell in their tents.

  23. It’s amazing to me that boundaries not applied in this time and age within the bible but it also applies within our own selves. Not just on a spirtual level but also on a physical level. There are many boundaries within life! We must learn as Christains and saints on how to properlly alin ourselves within the right boundraies! This is why we DO NOT go to the bar, smoke shop, nor particpate in ungodly conversations. This is why our boundray should be Prayer and correcting those whom do not know the truth! So that means when you hear someone talk about being baptized in another name than in Jesus Name, its like a boundray for us to correct them. The bible specially gives us instruction to correct people in order to encourage them. Boundaries are not just a physical realm of space but it also applies to our spirtual life! If we are not alined within the right boundaries we may be missing out and placing ourselves in a danger zone for us to miss out on what God is really trying to use us for. This is why its very key to keep in the blog and keep prayer, fasting and developing a relationship with God. Yes we are all not perfect. Yes we all sin and fall short of the glory of God. But this why we must strive to be in the right boundaries line! This is one key element I believe in which develops and strengthens our relationship with Jesus!

  24. 13 And Moses commanded the children of Israel, saying, This is the land which ye shall inherit by lot, which the Lord commanded to give unto the nine tribes, and to the half tribe:

  25. 2) NLT give these instructions to the lsralites : when you come into the land of Canaan which I am giving you as Your special possession these will be the boundaries

  26. Numbers 34:2

2 “Command the People of Israel. Tell them: When you enter Canaan, these are the borders of the land you are getting as an inheritance:

God gave the land and established the borders. Yet if you look at Israel today they are not occupying all of the land that God gave them.

Today parts of the land that God gave to Judah, Ephraim, Mannaseh, and Issachar is called the West Bank and doesn’t belong to Israel. Also the Gaza Strip which is occupied by Palestinians.

To the east we see that all the land belonging to East Mannaseh, Benjamin, Gad, and Reuben is not in the hands of God’s people.

I believe we need to remember the promises God gave us and never settle for less. All of this land still belongs to the children of Abraham. One day it will be returned to them.

  27. 1 Then the Lord said to Moses, 2 “Give these instructions to the Israelites: When you come into the land of Canaan, which I am giving you as your special possession, these will be the boundaries.

God gave his people special boundaries. How blessed are we to have that special boundary to separate us from this world. Thank you Lord for the special boundaries you give us!

  28. 12 And the border shall go down to Jordan, and the goings out of it shall be at the salt sea: this shall be your land with the coasts thereof round about.

13 And Moses commanded the children of Israel, saying, This is the land which ye shall inherit by lot, which the Lord commanded to give unto the nine tribes, and to the half tribe:

  29. 29 These are they whom the Lord commanded to divide the inheritance unto the children of Israel in the land of Canaan.

It is not optional!!! It is the commandment of the Lord. There is a process to all actions.. All His promises are true but it is require an action of obedience and complete submission to His Will. May the Lord guide our steps in His purpose for us in His will. In Jesus Name AMEN

  30. 29 These are they whom the Lord commanded to divide the inheritance unto the children of Israel in the land of Canaan.

God has a very specific inheritance for everybody. Some of us are meant for other things that others aren’t because we are the body of Christ. However, we need all need each other. God has given us different gifts to all of us but for the same purpose to grow Hos kingdom. Make sure you don’t hide your gift and use it for the enemy. Let’s be wise and work for His kingdom together.

  31. Numbers 34:13 Moses commanded the Israelite assign this land by lot as an inheritance. The Lord has ordered that it be given to nine and a half tribes because the families of the tribe of Reuben the tribe of GAD and the half tribe of Manasseh have received their inheritance. These two-and-a-half tribes have received their inheritance east of the Jordan across from Jericho toward the sunrise. The Lord said to Moses these are the names of the men who are assign the land for you as an inheritance Eleazar the priest and Joshua son of Nun. And appoint one leader from each tribe to help assign the land.

  32. 29 These are they whom the Lord commanded to divide the inheritance unto the children of Israel in the land of Canaan.

Split up the spoils of the land for they are ours. God has given us this land. Take it. Receive it. Use it. Grow.

  33. God reveals his plan hear to place boundaries between the tribes of Israel. He is giving revelation to the order the body will settle into much like the arm wouldn’t next to the foot. Every person and tribe has a place and when the come into the promised land its important to know where they belong. Its not until many years later that during the lifetimes of king David and Solomon, will these boundaries be realized. God knows where we belong in His plan for us in His kingdom of we submit to him as the Israelites do he will put us in perfect allignment. If we stay within our boundaries he will protect us.

  34. Gos has something more for us. We can’t just walk up and get it. There has to be certain steps taken in order for us to receive what God has for us. Thank God for the truth that is being taught at POFW. The truth is what’s going to help us get to heaven.

  35. Boundaries keep thing in but it also keep things out. The more we move Northward it will be the boundaries that will keep us in unity.

  36. 16 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,
17 These are the names of the men which shall divide the land unto you: Eleazar the priest, and Joshua the son of Nun.
29 These are they whom the Lord commanded to divide the inheritance unto the children of Israel in the land of Canaan.

The word of God (Jesus) stated who would divide the inheritance. One is wise to heed the word of God, in its entirety; elsewise the inheritance (outcome/result) may not be what it could have been. Dear God, help me too obey your word so that your will may be done. God Bless America, Israel, Jerusalem, and you all in Jesus name, Amen!

  37. “For the tribe of the children of Reuben according to the house of their fathers, and the tribe of the children of Gad according to the house of their fathers, have received their inheritance; and half the tribe of Manasseh have received their inheritance”. Their ancestors chose according to the word of the Lord. Choices in life are usually the reason for circumstances. This is all the more reason why those making the choice should bring all matters to the Lord, for a choice made without the Lord may be regretted later. God help us to see the importance of seeking your will first, in Jesus name.

  38. 13 And Moses commanded the children of Israel, saying, This is the land which ye shall inherit by lot, which the Lord commanded to give unto the nine tribes, and to the half tribe:

14 For the tribe of the children of Reuben according to the house of their fathers, and the tribe of the children of Gad according to the house of their fathers, have received their inheritance; and half the tribe of Manasseh have received their inheritance:

  39. This passage is about moving into your promise. There is nothing like getting the keys to your new house that you have been waiting for your whole life. God requires action and diligence to obtain his promises. Let’s make sure we are positioned for the blessing when it finally arrives

  40. 17 These are the names of the men which shall divide the land unto you: Eleazar the priest, and Joshua the son of Nun.

God Knows who is able to handle what he needs, He then uses those who he sees is faithful and without a doubt going to do what he wants and when he wants. It seems like Eleazar and Joshua have shown themselves faithful! So I need to ask my self before I complain about not getting used, have I Nora Krier shown myself faithful! Am I growing in the areas God needs me to, to do what he wants me to do! Am I growing In prayer, ( cant let last nights word go, its just on replay ).

  41. 2 Command the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye come into the land of Canaan; (this is the land that shall fall unto you for an inheritance, even the land of Canaan with the coasts thereof.
You may feel like its just rules and regulations, but the rules is there to keep us in order and to keep things in order.

  42. Set boundaries

I’ve learned that we need to set boundaries in life. From the food we eat, to how much entertainment we allow, to how much time were willing to sacrifice to our flesh.

Even thou we can not have enough of our no boundaries God, because we can not pray, praise or worship too much. We do tend to treat Gods things like we treat our flesh and flesh like we should be treating God. We should pray 3 or 4 hours but we watch that much tv. We should read 2 to 3 hours of our word but that’s we spend just browsing our FB and Twitter and Snap Chat.

So we need boundaries, because and excess of carnal things can bring us to sin.

  43. 29 These are they whom the Lord commanded to divide the inheritance unto the children of Israel in the land of Canaan.

The Lord has a plan for everything. He knows who he can count on. His command to divide the inheritance was to bless the tribes.

  44. 16 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,

17 These are the names of the men which shall divide the land unto you: Eleazar the priest, and Joshua the son of Nun.

18 And ye shall take one prince of every tribe, to divide the land by inheritance.

This chapter talks about boundaries and dividing the land. With such task there is also a need for leadership that the tasks and will of God may be acomplished. We should always pray for our leadership and those in authority over us that they may receive instruction and lead with integrity.

  45. ““Command the children of Israel, and say to them: ‘When you come into the land of Canaan, this is the land that shall fall to you as an inheritance—the land of Canaan to its boundaries.”(Numbers‬ ‭34:2‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

Canaan was of small extent; as it is here bounded, it is but about 160 miles in length, and about 50 in breadth; yet this was the country promised to the father of the faithful, and the possession of the seed of Israel. This was that little spot of ground, in which alone, for many ages, God was known. This was the vineyard of the Lord, the garden enclosed; but as it is with gardens and vineyards, the narrowness of the space was made up by the fruitfulness of the soil.

  46. 16 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,

17 These are the names of the men which shall divide the land unto you:
We are known to God by name. He is well aware of who we are.

  47. God always sets boundaries

“Command the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye come into the land of Canaan; (this is the land that shall fall unto you for an inheritance, even the land of Canaan with the coasts thereof:) Then your south quarter shall be from the wilderness of Zin along by the coast of Edom, and your south border shall be the outmost coast of the salt sea eastward: And your border shall turn from the south to the ascent of Akrabbim, and pass on to Zin: and the going forth thereof shall be from the south to Kadesh–barnea, and shall go on to Hazar–addar, and pass on to Azmon: And the border shall fetch a compass from Azmon unto the river of Egypt, and the goings out of it shall be at the sea. And as for the western border, ye shall even have the great sea for a border: this shall be your west border. And this shall be your north border: from the great sea ye shall point out for you mount Hor: From mount Hor ye shall point out your border unto the entrance of Hamath; and the goings forth of the border shall be to Zedad: And the border shall go on to Ziphron, and the goings out of it shall be at Hazar–enan: this shall be your north border. And ye shall point out your east border from Hazar–enan to Shepham: And the coast shall go down from Shepham to Riblah, on the east side of Ain; and the border shall descend, and shall reach unto the side of the sea of Chinnereth eastward: And the border shall go down to Jordan, and the goings out of it shall be at the salt sea: this shall be your land with the coasts thereof round about.”
    ‭‭Numbers‬ ‭34:2-12‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Why is it that we always push so hard not to have the boundaries? The boundaries are set for a reason. We should value the lines and not push them away.
