Deuteronomy 26

1 And it shall be, when thou art come in unto the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee for an inheritance, and possessest it, and dwellest therein;

2 That thou shalt take of the first of all the fruit of the earth, which thou shalt bring of thy land that the Lord thy God giveth thee, and shalt put it in a basket, and shalt go unto the place which the Lord thy God shall choose to place his name there.

3 And thou shalt go unto the priest that shall be in those days, and say unto him, I profess this day unto the Lord thy God, that I am come unto the country which the Lord sware unto our fathers for to give us.

4 And the priest shall take the basket out of thine hand, and set it down before the altar of the Lord thy God.

5 And thou shalt speak and say before the Lord thy God, A Syrian ready to perish was my father, and he went down into Egypt, and sojourned there with a few, and became there a nation, great, mighty, and populous:

6 And the Egyptians evil entreated us, and afflicted us, and laid upon us hard bondage:

7 And when we cried unto the Lord God of our fathers, the Lord heard our voice, and looked on our affliction, and our labour, and our oppression:

8 And the Lord brought us forth out of Egypt with a mighty hand, and with an outstretched arm, and with great terribleness, and with signs, and with wonders:

9 And he hath brought us into this place, and hath given us this land, even a land that floweth with milk and honey.

10 And now, behold, I have brought the firstfruits of the land, which thou, O Lord, hast given me. And thou shalt set it before the Lord thy God, and worship before the Lord thy God:

11 And thou shalt rejoice in every good thing which the Lord thy God hath given unto thee, and unto thine house, thou, and the Levite, and the stranger that is among you.

12 When thou hast made an end of tithing all the tithes of thine increase the third year, which is the year of tithing, and hast given it unto the Levite, the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, that they may eat within thy gates, and be filled;

13 Then thou shalt say before the Lord thy God, I have brought away the hallowed things out of mine house, and also have given them unto the Levite, and unto the stranger, to the fatherless, and to the widow, according to all thy commandments which thou hast commanded me: I have not transgressed thy commandments, neither have I forgotten them.

14 I have not eaten thereof in my mourning, neither have I taken away ought thereof for any unclean use, nor given ought thereof for the dead: but I have hearkened to the voice of the Lord my God, and have done according to all that thou hast commanded me.

15 Look down from thy holy habitation, from heaven, and bless thy people Israel, and the land which thou hast given us, as thou swarest unto our fathers, a land that floweth with milk and honey.

16 This day the Lord thy God hath commanded thee to do these statutes and judgments: thou shalt therefore keep and do them with all thine heart, and with all thy soul.

17 Thou hast avouched the Lord this day to be thy God, and to walk in his ways, and to keep his statutes, and his commandments, and his judgments, and to hearken unto his voice:

18 And the Lord hath avouched thee this day to be his peculiar people, as he hath promised thee, and that thou shouldest keep all his commandments;

19 And to make thee high above all nations which he hath made, in praise, and in name, and in honour; and that thou mayest be an holy people unto the Lord thy God, as he hath spoken.

  1. iLove to Grow in the Word

Deuteronomy 26:13 NLT Then you must declare in the presence of the LORD your God, ‘I have taken the sacred gift from my house and have given it to the Levites, foreigners, orphans, and widows, just as You commanded me. I have not violated or forgotten any of Your commands.

We see here in the above verse that is not good enough to just do a good deed, but one must remind the Lord through the act of confession and declaration to God in the act of prayer in order to release all the blessings of the Lord. In Deuteronomy 26:13 the Word says, “Then you must declare in the presence of the Lord…”

  2. 3. Go to the priest who is serving at the time and say, “The Eternal promised our ancestors He’d give us this land, and I’m here today to acknowledge to the Eternal, my True God-I’ve officially settled in!”

    10. And now I’ve brought the very first produce from the ground that You, the Eternal, have given to me.” Then present the basket to the Eternal your God, and bow down before Him,

    11. and celebrate all the good things He has given to you and your household. Be sure to invite the Levites and the foreigners who live in your town to the feast.

When God gives us what He has promised, we can’t just act blasé as if He owed it to us, but we must acknowledge it with gifts and sacrifices of praise. Let’s own our promise and invite everyone to the celebration!

  3. Verses 18-19 MSG “And today God has reaffirmed that you are dearly held treasure just as he promised, a people entrusted with keeping his commandments, a people set high above all other nations that he’s made, high in praise, fame, and honor: you’re a people holy to God, your God. That’s what he has promised.” Same verses AMP “Today the Lord has declared that you are His people, His treasured possession, just as He promised you, and that you are to keep all His commandments; and that He will set you high above all the nations which He has made, for praise, fame, and honor: and that you shall be a holy people [set apart and consecrated] to the Lord your God, just as He has spoken.”

Deuteronomy 7:6 NLT “For you are a holy people, who belong to the Lord your God. Of all the people on earth, the Lord your God has chosen you to be his own special treasure.” Ephesians 2:10 NLT “For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.”

  4. 18 And the Lord hath avouched thee this day to be his peculiar people, as he hath promised thee, and that thou shouldest keep all his commandments;

19 And to make thee high above all nations which he hath made, in praise, and in name, and in honour; and that thou mayest be an holy people unto the Lord thy God, as he hath spoken.

  5. I have not eaten any of it while in mourning; I have not handled it while I was ceremonially unclean; and I have not offered any of it to the dead. I have obeyed the Lord my God and have done everything you commanded me.

When we give GOD a sacrifice, it must be clean and it must be the best. It can’t be stinky and it surely can’t be from the left overs.
GOD is worthy of our best.

  6. Deuteronomy 26:6
talks about egpt people were evil and abuseive to gods people .
we must have the lord in are life everyday. Grow with Jesus Amen

  7. 7-9 And when we cried unto the Lord God of our fathers, the Lord heard our voice, and looked on our affliction, and our labour, and our oppression: And the Lord brought us forth out of Egypt with a mighty hand, and with an outstretched arm, and with great terribleness, and with signs, and with wonders: And he hath brought us into this place, and hath given us this land, even a land that floweth with milk and honey.

Does this apply to anyone else besides me?

The Lord is so good to me. I have cried unto to the Lord, He seen my affliction, brought me out of that place with His mighty hand with sings and wonders and placed here where milk and honey flow. I am so undeserving of His attention much less His mercy, grace and love. Yet, there He stands wanting to deepen our relationship.

  8. When you posses the land, you paid your tithe, and followed His commandments, then this how it would in you’re life!!!!

  9. And now, O  Lord , I have brought you the first portion of the harvest you have given me from the ground.’ Then place the produce before the Lord your God, and bow to the ground in worship before him. Afterward you may go and celebrate because of all the good things the Lord your God has given to you and your household. Remember to include the Levites and the foreigners living among you in the celebration.
    Deuteronomy 26:10-11 NLT

Yes, GOD deserves or best but HE also wants our heart to be in it as well. Whole heartedly!!! It’s the position of your heart when bowed down!!!
LORD I PRAISE YOU And Youuuuuu ALONE!!! SEARCH OUT MY HEART DADDY!!! I WANT TO BE MORE LIKE YOU JESUS!!!

  10. 16 “Today the Lord your God has commanded you to obey all these decrees and regulations. So be careful to obey them wholeheartedly. (NLT)

We will obey with our whole hearts Lord; because we love You, we will keep Your commandments!

  11. 18 And the Lord has declared this day that you are his people, his treasured possession as he promised, and that you are to keep all his commands. 19 He has declared that he will set you in praise, fame and honor high above all the nationshe has made and that you will be a people holy to the Lord your God, as he promised.

If people would just simply obey and follow His Word. Jesus has great promises for us but we have to put our own part into it. He will set you on high ground if we just follow and obey His commands. The whole bible is a command, its the book to live by. When your in need, sad, happy, confused, angry, or you just don’t know the answer. Just start reading His Word and He will answer all those needs. Jesus is the only one we need. Nothing is worth loosing our salvation for. Let’s be hot for the Lord so He can be lifted up and pour down His spirit upon us. Let’s praise Him more than yesterday, pray more, fast more, read more, study more. The Lord is just amazing. Thank you Jesus!!!

  12. 7 And when we cried unto the Lord God of our fathers, the Lord heard our voice, and looked on our affliction, and our labour, and our oppression:

When we cry to God he hears us, he already knows, he sees what we’re doing even if the things we say, or do don’t match what’s in our heart!

  13. 16 This day the Lord thy God hath commanded thee to do these statutes and judgments: thou shalt therefore keep and do them with all thine heart, and with all thy soul.

  14. 7 And when we cried unto the Lord God of our fathers, the Lord heard our voice, and looked on our affliction, and our labour, and our oppression:

8 And the Lord brought us forth out of Egypt with a mighty hand, and with an outstretched arm, and with great terribleness, and with signs, and with wonders
The miracle working power of God.
Nothing is more amazing that the signs, wonders, and miracles that God worked for His people on their way out of Egypt! Over and over God came through for His people and showed them He was the almighty! Alot of times God waits intil we have our backs against the wall to show up and show out in our situations. He’s an on time God yes He is!

  15. 6 And the Egyptians evil entreated us, and afflicted us, and laid upon us hard bondage:

7 And when we cried unto the Lord God of our fathers, the Lord heard our voice, and looked on our affliction, and our labour, and our oppression:

God sees our trials and troubles, but if we will but cry out to him he will hear us and help and deliver us.

  16. Keep the Commands of the Lord

Deuteronomy 26:16 This day the Lord thy God hath commanded thee to do these statutes and judgments: thou shalt therefore keep and do them with all thine heart, and with all thy soul. Thou hast a vouched the Lord this day to be the God, and to walk in his ways, and to keep his statutes, and his commandments, and his judgments, and to hearken unto his voice:

Deuteronomy 15:5,6 Only if thou carefully hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe to do all these commandments which I command thee this day. For the Lord thy God blesseth thee, as he promised thee: and thou shalt Lend unto many nations, but thou shalt not borrow; and thou shalt reign over many nations, but they shall not reign over thee.

  17. GOD GROW OUR FINANCES

4 And the priest shall take the basket out of thine hand, and set it down before the altar of the Lord thy God.

This is the reason I take the offering basket every service from the ushers and place it on the altar and set it down before the LORD. I ask JESUS to BLESS the offering, the gift and the giver, to return seed to the sower and to increase the people of GDO. I then invoke the Spirit of GOSHEN on The Pentecostals of Fort Worth.

I believe the LORD JESUS will BLESS u The POFW as he did the children of Israel while they were in GOSHEN, Egypt.

    iPraise

  18. 2  That thou shalt take of the first of all the fruit of the earth, which thou shalt bring of thy land that the Lord thy God giveth thee, and shalt put it in a basket, and shalt go unto the place which the Lord thy God shall choose to place his name there.

    The first fruit offering.

If you remember when we first got the new property. How we all got the dirt that was anointed and the honey, pomegranates, and grapes. What are we going to do now that the church building is almost finished. Now what? It is time to give our first fruits to God for an offering of Thanksgiving.

  19. “12 When thou hast made an end of tithing all the tithes of thine increase the third year, which is the year of tithing, and hast given it unto the Levite, the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, that they may eat within thy gates, and be filled;

15 Look down from thy holy habitation, from heaven, and bless thy people Israel, and the land which thou hast given us, as thou swarest unto our fathers, a land that floweth with milk and honey.”

We need to obey the Lord first before we can ask Him to bless us.

  21. Deuteronomy 26:18-19 (NLT)
18 The Lord has declared today that you are his people, his own special treasure, just as he promised, and that you must obey all his commands. 19 And if you do, he will set you high above all the other nations he has made. Then you will receive praise, honor, and renown. You will be a nation that is holy to the Lord your God, just as he promised.”

    Don’t worry

With all of the chaos and uncertainty in the world it sure seems like we are on the edge of an unraveling. We see everyday news of wars, famine, disease, confusion, immorality, and race war

    But God

We don’t need to worry or be afraid. We are his people and his own special treasure and he will keep his word.

While the world seems to be planning for chaos, God is prepping his church for an age of outpouring, revival, and heavenly visitation such as the world has never seen.

Remember to never underestimate the power of God. He is still in control.

  22. Deut. 26:16
“This day the LORD thy God hath commanded thee to do these statutes and judgments: thou shalt therefore keep and do them with all thine heart, and with all thy soul.”

Be Obedient to God. Keep and Do His commandments, and do them with all thine heart and soul.

  23. No matter how many times Egypt. Rejected god . god still was merciful. Yet god still did
    what he promised

18 The LoRD. Has declared today that you are his propel his own special trasure just as he promised and that you must obey all his commmands 19) And if you do he will set you high above all the other nation he has made then you will receive praise, honor and tenown you will be a nation that is holy tothe LORD your God just as he promised.

  24. we cried out to the Lord , the God of our ancestors. He heard our cries and saw our hardship, toil, and oppression. So the Lord brought us out of Egypt with a strong hand and powerful arm, with overwhelming terror, and with miraculous signs and wonders. He brought us to this place and gave us this land flowing with milk and honey!
    Deuteronomy 26:7-9 NLT
    http://bible.com/116/deu.26.7-9.NLT

God knows what we are going through, but He wants us to cry out to him and its in the time of desperation that we seek Him whole heartedly and all we can do is cry out! When we want God to answer it requires an action and God will answer when its time. He will lead us out of any trouble or situation because He is an awesome God and He deservese all the glory.

  25. 5“You must then say in the presence of the LORD your God, ‘My ancestor Jacob was a wandering Aramean who went to live as a foreigner in Egypt. His family arrived few in number, but in Egypt they became a large and mighty nation.

Always remember to thank the Lord for what he has done for you.

  26. And the Lord has declared this day that you are his people, his treasured possession as he promised, and that you are to keep all his commands.
19 He has declared that he will set you in praise, fame and honor high above all the nations he has made and that you will be a people holy to the Lord your God, as he promised.
We need to make sure we keep Gods commandments and stay true to his word

  27. Deuteronomy 26:18

Israel was special to God. This position in God’s heart was not given because of the merit of the people but because God graciously conferred it.

  28. 7 And when we cried unto the Lord God of our fathers, the Lord heard our voice, and looked on our affliction, and our labour, and our oppression:

8 And the Lord brought us forth out of Egypt with a mighty hand, and with an outstretched arm, and with great terribleness, and with signs, and with wonders:

You may be going through a few things, but God doesn’t want you fear. Our trials that we face are just a test of our faith. Troubles won’t last always. God has given us the strength to endure. Remember when God is on your side, your good days will outweigh your bad days.

  29. 8 And the Lord brought us forth out of Egypt with a mighty hand, and with an outstretched arm, and with great terribleness, and with signs, and with wonders:

9 And he hath brought us into this place, and hath given us this land, even a land that floweth with milk and honey.

10 And now, behold, I have brought the firstfruits of the land, which thou, O Lord, hast given me. And thou shalt set it before the Lord thy God, and worship before the Lord thy God:

God did and still does many things for us and some people still don’t get it

  30. 7 And when we cried unto the Lord God of our fathers, the Lord heard our voice, and looked on our affliction, and our labour, and our oppression:

12 When thou hast made an end of tithing all the tithes of thine increase the third year, which is the year of tithing, and hast given it unto the Levite, the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, that they may eat within thy gates, and be filled

  31. 16 “Today the Lord your God has commanded you to obey all these decrees and regulations. So be careful to obey them wholeheartedly.
19 And if you do, he will set you high above all the other nations he has made. Then you will receive praise, honor, and renown. You will be a nation that is holy to the Lord your God, just as he promised.”

All you have to do is obey his commandments wholeheartedly and he will let us rise above all nations! let me give wholeheartedly to you God! What a awesome God we serve!

  32. 19 And to make thee high above all nations which he hath made, in praise, and in name, and in honour; and that thou mayest be an holy people unto the Lord thy God, as he hath spoken.

We are a highly favored people. Thank you Jesus, for allowing us this oppertunity to serve you and see your mighty hand..

  33. v19 And to make thee high above all nations which he hath made, in praise, and in name, and in honour ; and that thou mayest be an holy people unto the LORD thy God, as he hath spoken.

When we choose righteousness over unrighteousness, GOD accepts us into HIS family and belong to HIM.

I’m so thankful to know that the LORD receives us!!!
” Come out from among them, and be ye separate, ” the LORD said
    ” I will receive you”

  34. “And when we cried unto the Lord God of our fathers, the Lord heard our voice, and looked on our affliction, and our labour, and our oppression”. The word of God (Jesus) stated we and our, and not I or me. One that cannot or will not see that OUR Nation desperately needs prayer; will one day have a chance to explain why. Dear God, open our eyes and ears so that we would unite and cry out to you, in Jesus name. God Bless America, Israel, Jerusalem, and you all in Jesus name, Amen!

  35. 7 And when we cried unto the Lord God of our fathers, the Lord heard our voice, and looked on our affliction, and our labour, and our oppression:

Prayers never spoken are often never answered. The scripture say “we cried unto the Lord God” not only did He hear them but He turned His face to see their current situation and delivered them.

In the middle of your deliema is not the time to sit silent with God yet gossip with friends but silence your complaint and cry out to God.

  36. 18 And the Lord hath avouched thee this day to be his peculiar people, as he hath promised thee, and that thou shouldest keep all his commandments; 19 And to make thee high above all nations which he hath made, in praise, and in name, and in honour; and that thou mayest be an holy people unto the Lord thy God, as he hath spoken.
It is very clear how the Lord feels, which we should be observant of. The Lord showed compassion and blessed them, which for no other reason we should be mindful of. God help us to see the importance of praying for Israel, in Jesus name.

  37. “And today GOD has reaffirmed that you are dearly held treasure just as he promised, a people entrusted with keeping his commandments, a people set high above all other nations that he’s made, high in praise, fame, and honor: you’re a people holy to GOD, your God. That’s what he has promised.”
    ‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭26:18-19‬ ‭MSG‬‬

    You are important.

  38. “So the LORD brought us out of Egypt with a mighty hand and with an outstretched arm, with great terror and with signs and wonders. He has brought us to this place and has given us this land, “a land flowing with milk and honey”; and now, behold, I have brought the firstfruits of the land which you, O LORD, have given me.’ “Then you shall set it before the LORD your God, and worship before the LORD your God.”
    ‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭26:8-10‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
    http://bible.com/114/deu.26.8-10.nkjv

Bring your tithes and offering before the Lord? How has he blessed you? What has he brought you out off and where are you now? Just some of the things to consider and be grateful for. Moreover we have a mandate to bring to him our first fruits.

  39. ““This day the LORD your God commands you to observe these statutes and judgments; therefore you shall be careful to observe them with all your heart and with all your soul.”(Deuteronomy‬ ‭26:16‬ ‭NKJV)

Moses here enforces the precepts. They are God’s laws, therefore thou shalt do them, to that end were they given thee; do them, and dispute them not; do them, and draw not back; do them, not carelessly and hypocritically, but with thy heart and soul, thy whole heart and thy whole soul. We forswear ourselves, and break the most sacred engagement, if, when we have taken the Lord to be our God, we do not make conscience of obeying his commands.

  40. 13 Then thou shalt say before the Lord thy God, I have brought away the hallowed things out of mine house, and also have given them unto the Levite, and unto the stranger, to the fatherless, and to the widow, according to all thy commandments which thou hast commanded me: I have not transgressed thy commandments, neither have I forgotten them.

Accountability going along with tithing! As well as stating you are free of sinning against his commandments.

  41. 15 Look down from thy holy habitation, from heaven, and bless thy people Israel, and the land which thou hast given us, as thou swarest unto our fathers, a land that floweth with milk and honey.

    18 And the Lord hath avouched thee this day to be his peculiar people, as he hath promised thee, and that thou shouldest keep all his commandments;

19 And to make thee high above all nations which he hath made, in praise, and in name, and in honour; and that thou mayest be an holy people unto the Lord thy God, as he hath spoken.

A reciprocal covenant can be found in this chapter. We honor the Lord with our first fruits, showing Him that He is the Lord of all in our lives, and He honored us as His chosen, peculiar people and honors us as He has declared.

  42. 16 This day the Lord thy God hath commanded thee to do these statutes and judgments: thou shalt therefore keep and do them with all thine heart, and with all thy soul.

17 Thou hast avouched the Lord this day to be thy God, and to walk in his ways, and to keep his statutes, and his commandments, and his judgments, and to hearken unto his voice:

    18 And the Lord hath avouched thee this day to be his peculiar people, as he hath promised thee, and that thou shouldest keep all his commandments;

19 And to make thee high above all nations which he hath made, in praise, and in name, and in honour; and that thou mayest be an holy people unto the Lord thy God, as he hath spoken.

  43. 15 Look down from thy holy habitation, from heaven, and bless thy people Israel, and the land which thou hast given us, as thou swarest unto our fathers, a land that floweth with milk and honey.

    18 And the Lord hath avouched thee this day to be his peculiar people, as he hath promised thee, and that thou shouldest keep all his commandments;

19 And to make thee high above all nations which he hath made, in praise, and in name, and in honour; and that thou mayest be an holy people unto the Lord thy God, as he hath spoken.

  44. 1. AND it shall be, when thou art come in unto the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee for an inheritance, and possessest it, and dwellest therein; 2. That thou shalt take of the first of all the fruit of the earth, which thou shalt bring of thy land that the LORD thy God giveth thee, and shalt put it in a basket, and shalt go unto the place which the LORD thy God shall choose to place his name there. I LOVE YOU JESUS !!!!

  45. Deut. 26 : 18,19 NKJV Also today the LORD has proclaimed you to be His special people, just as He promised you, that you should keep all His commandments, 19. and that He will set you high above all nations which He has made, in praise, in name, and in honor, and that you may be a holy people to the LORD your God, just as He has spoken.” Hallelujah !!!!
