2 Samuel 7

1 And it came to pass, when the king sat in his house, and the Lord had given him rest round about from all his enemies;

2 That the king said unto Nathan the prophet, See now, I dwell in an house of cedar, but the ark of God dwelleth within curtains.

3 And Nathan said to the king, Go, do all that is in thine heart; for the Lord is with thee.

4 And it came to pass that night, that the word of the Lord came unto Nathan, saying,

5 Go and tell my servant David, Thus saith the Lord, Shalt thou build me an house for me to dwell in?

6 Whereas I have not dwelt in any house since the time that I brought up the children of Israel out of Egypt, even to this day, but have walked in a tent and in a tabernacle.

7 In all the places wherein I have walked with all the children of Israel spake I a word with any of the tribes of Israel, whom I commanded to feed my people Israel, saying, Why build ye not me an house of cedar?

8 Now therefore so shalt thou say unto my servant David, Thus saith the Lord of hosts, I took thee from the sheepcote, from following the sheep, to be ruler over my people, over Israel:

9 And I was with thee whithersoever thou wentest, and have cut off all thine enemies out of thy sight, and have made thee a great name, like unto the name of the great men that are in the earth.

10 Moreover I will appoint a place for my people Israel, and will plant them, that they may dwell in a place of their own, and move no more; neither shall the children of wickedness afflict them any more, as beforetime,

11 And as since the time that I commanded judges to be over my people Israel, and have caused thee to rest from all thine enemies. Also the Lord telleth thee that he will make thee an house.

12 And when thy days be fulfilled, and thou shalt sleep with thy fathers, I will set up thy seed after thee, which shall proceed out of thy bowels, and I will establish his kingdom.

13 He shall build an house for my name, and I will stablish the throne of his kingdom for ever.

14 I will be his father, and he shall be my son. If he commit iniquity, I will chasten him with the rod of men, and with the stripes of the children of men:

15 But my mercy shall not depart away from him, as I took it from Saul, whom I put away before thee.

16 And thine house and thy kingdom shall be established for ever before thee: thy throne shall be established for ever.

17 According to all these words, and according to all this vision, so did Nathan speak unto David.

18 Then went king David in, and sat before the Lord, and he said, Who am I, O Lord God? and what is my house, that thou hast brought me hitherto?

19 And this was yet a small thing in thy sight, O Lord God; but thou hast spoken also of thy servant’s house for a great while to come. And is this the manner of man, O Lord God?

20 And what can David say more unto thee? for thou, Lord God, knowest thy servant.

21 For thy word’s sake, and according to thine own heart, hast thou done all these great things, to make thy servant know them.

22 Wherefore thou art great, O Lord God: for there is none like thee, neither is there any God beside thee, according to all that we have heard with our ears.

23 And what one nation in the earth is like thy people, even like Israel, whom God went to redeem for a people to himself, and to make him a name, and to do for you great things and terrible, for thy land, before thy people, which thou redeemedst to thee from Egypt, from the nations and their gods?

24 For thou hast confirmed to thyself thy people Israel to be a people unto thee for ever: and thou, Lord, art become their God.

25 And now, O Lord God, the word that thou hast spoken concerning thy servant, and concerning his house, establish it for ever, and do as thou hast said.

26 And let thy name be magnified for ever, saying, The Lord of hosts is the God over Israel: and let the house of thy servant David be established before thee.

27 For thou, O Lord of hosts, God of Israel, hast revealed to thy servant, saying, I will build thee an house: therefore hath thy servant found in his heart to pray this prayer unto thee.

28 And now, O Lord God, thou art that God, and thy words be true, and thou hast promised this goodness unto thy servant:

29 Therefore now let it please thee to bless the house of thy servant, that it may continue for ever before thee: for thou, O Lord God, hast spoken it: and with thy blessing let the house of thy servant be blessed for ever.

  1. Verse 22 AMP “Therefore You are great, O Lord God; for there is none like You, and there is no God besides You, according to all that we have heard with our ears.” There is only one true God and His name is Jesus. Deuteronomy 6:4 AMP says “Hear, O Israel! The Lord is our God, the Lord is one [the only God]!

Verses 28-29 MSG “And now, Master God, being the God you are, speaking sure words as you do, and having just said this wonderful thing to me, please, just one more thing: Bless my family; keep your eye on them always. You’ve already as much as said that you would, Master God! Oh, may your blessing be on my family permanently!” In the name of Jesus, bless each and every family of POFW.

  2. 28-29 “And now, Master God, being the God you are, speaking sure words as you do, and having just said this wonderful thing to me, please, just one more thing: Bless my family; keep your eye on them always. You’ve already as much as said that you would, Master God! Oh, may your blessing be on my family permanently!”MSG

This is my prayer. God has given us so many promises. I just pray that as those are fulfilled and unfold in our lives, that His hand will be upon us all of our days.

  3. 18. Then went king David in, and sat before the Lord, and he said, Who am I, O Lord God? and what is my house, that thou hast brought me hitherto?

I have often wondered the same things – who am I, that you have chosen to show me such mercy and grace?

I always enjoyed hearing this old song:

When I think of how He came so far from Glory
Came to dwell among the lowly such as I
To suffer shame and such disgrace
On Mount Calvary take my place
Then I ask myself this question
    Who am I?

Who am I that The King would bleed and die for
Who am I that He would pray not my will, Thine Lord
The answer I may never know
Why He ever loved me so
But to that old rugged cross He would go
    For who am I?

  4. For you are God, O Sovereign LORD. Your words are truth, and you have promised these good things to your servant. And now, may it please you to bless the house of your servant, so that it may continue forever before you. For you have spoken, and when you grant a blessing to your servant, O Sovereign LORD, it is an eternal blessing!” (‭2 Samuel‬ ‭7‬:‭28-29‬ NLT)

  5. “Therefore You are great, O Lord God; for none is like You, nor is there any God besides You, according to all [You have made] our ears to hear.”
    ‭‭2 Samuel‬ ‭7:22‬ ‭AMP‬‬

There’s no God like our God! Thank you for my Elohim and my Jehovah

  6. 9 And I was with thee whithersoever thou wentest, and have cut off all thine enemies out of thy sight, and have made thee a great name, like unto the name of the great men that are in the earth.

10 Moreover I will appoint a place for my people Israel, and will plant them, that they may dwell in a place of their own, and move no more; neither shall the children of wickedness afflict them any more, as beforetime,

  7. 22 “How great you are, O Sovereign Lord! There is no one like you. We have never even heard of another God like you! (NLT)

My God, how great You are! David’s prayer reminds me of a song that says, “Who am I, that the Lord of all the earth would care to know my name, would care to feel my hurt? Who am I, that the Bright and Morning Star would choose to light the way for my ever wandering heart? Not because of who I am, but because of what You’ve done. Not because of what I’ve done, but because of who You are… Who am I, that the eyes that see my sin, would look on me with love and watch me rise again? Who am I, that the voice that calmed the sea, would call out through the rain and calm the storm in me? Not because of who I am, but because of what You’ve done. Not because of what I’ve done, but because of who You are.”

  8. iLove to Grow in the Word

“Nathan replied to the king, “Go ahead and do whatever you have in mind, for the LORD is with you.” But that same night the LORD said to Nathan…
    ‭‭2 Samuel‬ ‭7:3-4‬ ‭NLT‬‬

It appears the prophet spoke first from his own flesh and later hears the Word of the Lord. As leaders, we must be careful to make sure we hear the voice of God while leading the people of God. Folks can easily speak haphazard thoughts from their own hearts without even speaking the word of the Lord. The safest thing is to run everything through pastor first. It’s a good thing Nathan went back to David and gave counsel.

  9. The past is a foundation for the future . God.who has been faithful in our by Ester day will surely be with using our tommorow.
We express faith in God when we ask him to keep his promise

  10. “I will be his father, and he shall be my son. If he commit iniquity, I will chasten him with the rod of men, and with the stripes of the children of men: But my mercy shall not depart away from him, as I took it from Saul, whom I put away before thee.”
    ‭‭2 Samuel‬ ‭7:14-15‬ ‭KJV‬‬

His mercy shall never leave me!

  11. 22 Wherefore thou art great, O Lord God: for there is none like thee, neither is there any God beside thee, according to all that we have heard with our ears.

Amen no other God, no other name like Jesus!!!! We have to know who we believe in and make sure that He is everything. I can’t do nothing Lord, you are my everything. I will praise you and live for you the rest of my life.

  12. 15 But my mercy shall not depart away from him, as I took it from Saul, whom I put away before thee.

16 And thine house and thy kingdom shall be established for ever before thee: thy throne shall be established for ever.

17 According to all these words, and according to all this vision, so did Nathan speak unto David.

It was because of David’s faith that God was gracious to David and blessed him throughout his years. He messed up and sinned a lot but he always turned his face to God afterwards and repented and he was a man after God’s own heart. Something that Saul didn’t do when he was king.

  13. 29 Therefore now let it please thee to bless the house of thy servant, that it may continue for ever before thee: for thou, O Lord God, hast spoken it: and with thy blessing let the house of thy servant be blessed for ever.

    In Jesus name !

  14. GOD CONFIRMS COMMITMENTS

WOW! Thank you JESUS for your divine presence at The POFW last evening, In such a supernatural atmosphere it would be easy and convenient to make pledges and commitments to GOD as many of us did. For that I am humbled and thankful. We should also be prepared for the LORD our GOD to confirm those same commitments.

This is what I see happening here with David. He makes a commitment or pledge to build a house for GOD. GOD asks for confirmation of that commitment. Why would GOD confirm?

To let us know that our commitment has been heard and to make eternal record of the pledge or commitment made. Also to add HIS own instructions and commitment to our commitment.

GOD help us today to REFOCUS and SEE you HIGH and LIFTED up.

    iRepent
    iPraise
    iPray

  15. 2 Samuel 7:28-29 (MSG)
“And now, Master God, being the God you are, speaking sure words as you do, and having just said this wonderful thing to me, please, just one more thing: Bless my family; keep your eye on them always. You’ve already as much as said that you would, Master God! Oh, may your blessing be on my family permanently!”

  16. Build the Lord a house of Praise

What a great God we serve. What a great promise!! Build Him a house in your heart and you will be His son/daughter and He will be your father, and He will never depart His mercy from you!!! I Love You Jesus!!!!

  17. We are never too old for correction. There are people who believe their age excludes them from correction or learning something new. I disagree. We are never too old to learn something new; especially from the Lord. As with most learning processes there will likely be mistakes. There are consequences to our actions. If we make poor decisions, there will be consequences. Remember correction should come from love.

2 Samuel 7:14-15 I will be his father, and he shall be my son. If he commit iniquity, I will chasten him with the rod of men, and with the stripes of the children of men: But my mercy shall not depart away from him, as I took it from Saul, whom I put away before thee.

Proverbs 12:1 To learn, you must love discipline; it is stupid to hate correction.

  18. 2 That the king said unto Nathan the prophet, See now, I dwell in an house of cedar, but the ark of God dwelleth within curtains.

3 And Nathan said to the king, Go, do all that is in thine heart; for the Lord is with thee.

Even the King over Israel had accountability and someone to speak into his life. He sought wisdom and counsel and when the prophet returned with a message he followed through with the instructions given.

David could have been proud and haughty and thought that he was wiser and used his position as King to belittle the prophet, but David had a heart after God and knew the power in submission and authority and obedience to God.

Accountability and asking guidance from those who have already been there and done that, or is in a position of authority is a good principle to live by.

Proverbs 11:14 -Where no counsel is, the people fall: but in the multitude of counsellors there is safety.

  19. 14 I will be his father, and he shall be my son. If he commit iniquity, I will chasten him with the rod of men, and with the stripes of the children of men:

15 But my mercy shall not depart away from him, as I took it from Saul, whom I put away before thee.
David was so blessed that God gave him a promise. A commitment that even if he made mistakes he would not forsake him as he did Saul. That’s why David could later write. “Thy mercy endureth forever ” and “thy mercies are new every morning ” He knew better than anyone about the mercy of God.

  20. 5 Go and tell my servant David, Thus saith the Lord, Shalt thou build me an house for me to dwell in?

6 Whereas I have not dwelt in any house since the time that I brought up the children of Israel out of Egypt, even to this day, but have walked in a tent and in a tabernacle.

I got from this passage, the things we think are important to God, are not as important as we think, God was content to dwell with his people the way he has been all those years, He was a cloud, a pillar of light, He walked with them. I beleive that Davids heart was in the right place, but God wasnt ready to dwell in a house, he was still doing a work, He wasnt ready to rest! I need to make sure I know what God will have for me to do for Him, not just go and start doing a bunch of stuff! Thank you Jesus!

  21. 29 Therefore now let it please thee to bless the house of thy servant, that it may continue for ever before thee: for thou, O Lord God, hast spoken it: and with thy blessing let the house of thy servant be blessed for ever.

The contingency for this blessing to be forever is to remain a servant. In our human states we are all chasing after positions and promotions to be more blessed upon the earth with finances and material possessions but the Kingdom of God works completely different. The Kingdom of God says to be blessed you have to remain a servant. If we maintain our servanthood we are promised to be blessed.

  22. WHO AM I?

16 And thine house and thy kingdom shall be established for ever before thee: thy throne shall be established for ever.
17 According to all these words, and according to all this vision, so did Nathan speak unto David.
18 Then went king David in, and sat before the Lord, and he said, Who am I, O Lord God? and what is my house, that thou hast brought me hitherto?

Who am I to dwell in the house of the LORD. Here recently I have seen myself standing before the judgement seat; asking who am I? This chapter just brought all that back to my memory. I have asked GOD who am I that you would have me serve your kingdom? Then in a soft voice I have heard, “My child, I have given you the knowledge and my book to help you.” Again l asked who am I? And again I heard, “My child, I have raised you up to bring home the lost. You are one of chosen to bring them home.” I didn’t know at first what this was, but I know now that it was the LORD talking to me. So who am I, one of GOD’s chosen warriors for HIS kingdom. I am a child of GOD; that is WHO I AM!!!!!!

    Thank you Jesus……..Amen!!!

  23. 28 And now, O Lord God, thou art that God, and thy words be true, and thou hast promised this goodness unto thy servant:

29 Therefore now let it please thee to bless the house of thy servant, that it may continue for ever before thee: for thou, O Lord God, hast spoken it: and with thy blessing let the house of thy servant be blessed for ever.

We know that the Bible is the living Word of God and all that he promised David was not meant to be only for David but for All of the children of God to come. Because he was, he is, and he is to come. We should take this prayer that David prayed and pray it.

    #praytheWord

  24. 18 Then went king David in, and sat before the Lord, and he said, Who am I, O Lord God? and what is my house, that thou hast brought me hitherto?

    Mark 10:27
27 And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible.

  25. 13 He shall build an house for my name, and I will stablish the throne of his kingdom for ever.

  26. I WAS READING BEFORE BED AND I HAD A BURDEN LAST NIGHT AND WITH THE SAME BURDEN THIS MORNING….

Romans 13 King James Version (KJV)
1 Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.
2 Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.
3 For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same:
4 For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil.
5 Wherefore ye must needs be subject, not only for wrath, but also for conscience sake.
6 For for this cause pay ye tribute also: for they are God’s ministers, attending continually upon this very thing.
7 Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honour to whom honour.
8 Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.
9 For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
10 Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.
11 And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.
12 The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.
13 Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying.
14 But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.

    VS 11 says again,
AND THAT, KNOWING THE TIME, THAT NOW IT IS HIGH TIME TO AWAKE OUT OF SLEEP: FOR NOW IS OUR SALVATION NEARER THAN WHEN WE BELIEVED.

God is waking up his saints more and more every day as the time draws nearer to His coming. He wants us to be aware of whats going on and know that His time is coming soon. From the prophetic word from God through Pastor Sunday morning, just confirmed everything that God has been speaking to me about within the last year. WE HAVE TO WAKE UP AMERICA!!! NO MATTER WHAT WE CAN’T FEAR, WE “REALLY NEED TO LISTEN TO GOD AND WHAT HE IS TELLING YOU” (QUOTE FROM MY HUSBAND) AND LOOK FOR THE SIGNS OF THESE LAST DAYS, THEY ARE ALREADY HERE… THANK YOU JESUS WE HAVE A GOD FEARING PRAYING CHURCH BECAUSE I DO BELIEVE ITS GOING TO BE OUR PRAYERS (THE CHURCH(JESUS’ CHURCH))THAT WILL SHAKE THE NATION….LET US NOT CEASE TO PRAY!! CONTINUALLY AT ALL TIMES!!
I have been having more light sleep than ever and I don’t think its a coincidence or the fact that my kids are wearing me out, I BELIEVE God is making sure we are awake enough to hear the sound of the trumpet.

    1 Thessalonians 5:5-9 and 17 and 23-25
5 Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.
6 Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.
7 For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night.
8 But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.
9 For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,
    17 Pray without ceasing.
23 And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
24 Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it.
    25 Brethren, pray for us.

Entire chapter 1 Thessalonians 5 King James Version (KJV)
1 But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you.
2 For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.
3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.
4 But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.
9 For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,
10 Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him.
11 Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do.
    12 And we beseech you, brethren, to know them which labour among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you;
13 And to esteem them very highly in love for their work’s sake. And be at peace among yourselves.
14 Now we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are unruly, comfort the feebleminded, support the weak, be patient toward all men.
15 See that none render evil for evil unto any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men.
    16 Rejoice evermore.
    17 Pray without ceasing.
18 In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
    19 Quench not the Spirit.
    20 Despise not prophesyings.
21 Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.
22 Abstain from all appearance of evil.
23 And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
24 Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it.
    25 Brethren, pray for us.
26 Greet all the brethren with an holy kiss.
27 I charge you by the Lord that this epistle be read unto all the holy brethren.
28 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.

Pastor asked us last night to remember the things that God has either shown us in visions, dreams etc…….
All I could think about was 2 things that was just as vivid as they were to me before last night.
The 1st was when Jesus came to me in a dream and He said “I am with you and I am proud of you” (not worthy enough for The King to tell me that) it is even very hard to believe that now.
The 2nd was when I had a dream about a 1 year and a half ago, when I saw the lake of fire and so many SOULS were SCREAMING AND CRYING AND BEGGING FOR THEIR LIVES it was so loud and I couldn’t do anything to save them. That burden hit me again last night when Pastor spoke and I prayed to wipe my eyes so I can see clearly about everyone and He did, I went to the grocery store after church and the difference that I felt when I went into the grocery store alone was remarkable.
Jesus help us all to see clearly and that we never cease to pray and this way the day of your coming we can here those words “Job well done my good and faithful servant” Ooooohhhh Jesus make me like you thank you Jesus for making me like you, I love you.

  27. 14 I will be his father, and he shall be my son. If he commit iniquity, I will chasten him with the rod of men, and with the stripes of the children of men:
15 But my mercy shall not depart away from him, as I took it from Saul, whom I put away before thee.

We may make mistakes and even choose to sin, and could certainly face man’s punishment, but the Lord says his mercy will endure forever. Psalms 136:2 Don’t be like Saul and harden your heart against the Lord who is able to save us. Be quick to repent like David, bear punishment from God or man, but make it right with him as soon he brings it to your mind. This world can steal our focus and we become self centered, but like we heard last night, put God back in the center of your life so we don’t fall.

  28. 8 Now therefore so shalt thou say unto my servant David, Thus saith the Lord of hosts, I took thee from the sheepcote, from following the sheep, to be ruler over my people, over Israel:

9 And I was with thee whithersoever thou wentest, and have cut off all thine enemies out of thy sight, and have made thee a great name, like unto the name of the great men that are in the earth.

  29. Michael:
So he was asking God to bless his family and he wanted to build a house for God.

    Olivia:
Why did he tell David to do what is in your heart?

    Joseph:
When the priophet said to do what is in your heart it was that he wanted to build the tabernacle, but it was really David’s son who did it.

    Anthony:
David realized that he had a luxurious house and God had a tent. He didn’t want to put himself over God. That is why he asked if he could build a house for God.

    Nicole:
13 He shall build an house for my name, and I will stablish the throne of his kingdom for ever.
14 I will be his father, and he shall be my son. If he commit iniquity, I will chasten him with the rod of men, and with the stripes of the children of men:
15 But my mercy shall not depart away from him, as I took it from Saul, whom I put away before thee.
16 And thine house and thy kingdom shall be established for ever before thee: thy throne shall be established for ever.

David longed in his heart to bless God. Nathan the prophet told him to do what was in his heart, but then the Lord corrected him with the promise for David’s family. God said it would not be David, but his son that would build the house of God. What an honor to know that it is on the heart of man to bless God.

  30. 1 And it came to pass, when the king sat in his house, and the Lord had given him rest round about from all his enemies;

2 That the king said unto Nathan the prophet, See now, I dwell in an house of cedar, but the ark of God dwelleth within curtains.

3 And Nathan said to the king, Go, do all that is in thine heart; for the Lord is with thee.

David was abundantly blessed that he saw his stage better than where the ark of the Lord was.  Who can out give God, wow…  The thought that came to mind is that, although God deserves the best, He did not worry about the material place.  Man is the one that looks at the material things, but the Lord created it all it all exist because of him and all belongs to him is what the word says.  My opinion is that God already had the place he wanted in the Heart of king David.  What better place can the Lord want than the highest in a person’s heart.  High and lifted up.  Now there is nothing wrong with getting and building the best for the Lord.  Albeit, my thought is that what better dwelling place can man raise unto the Lord than the first place in their hearts.

  31. 10 Moreover I will appoint a place for my people Israel, and will plant them, that they may dwell in a place of their own, and move no more; neither shall the children of wickedness afflict them any more, as beforetime,

11 And as since the time that I commanded judges to be over my people Israel, and have caused thee to rest from all thine enemies. Also the Lord telleth thee that he will make thee an house.

  32. 2 Samuel 7:18 King David went in, took his place before God, and prayed: “Who am I, my Master God, and what is my family, that you have brought me to this place in life? But that’s nothing compared to what’s coming, for you’ve also spoken of my family far into the future, given me a glimpse into tomorrow, my Master God! What can I possibly say in the face of all this? You know me, Master God, just as I am. You’ve done all this not because of who I am but because of who you are—out of your very heart!—but you’ve let me in on it.

This. Is exactly how I feel right now! It reminds me of the verse:

1 Corinthians 2:9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

God is such an awesome God. Your timeing is so perfect, I’m so humbled to serve you at this capacity, guide my steps direct my path, and I will be brave and take courage, because it’s for your kingdom!

  33. 18 Then went king David in, and sat before the Lord, and he said, Who am I, O Lord God? and what is my house, that thou hast brought me hitherto?

Who am I that you are mindful of me? That you hear me? When I call. Is it true you are thinking of me? How you love me. It’s amazing! I am a friend of God, I am a friend of God, I am a friend of God, He calls me friend! – I am a friend of God

Lord thank you for using me in ways I couldn’t even imagine. When others may have seen a nobody you saw me as something much greater. It is all because of you, for I am nothing without you!!

  34. 24 For thou hast confirmed to thyself thy people Israel to be a people unto thee for ever: and thou, Lord, art become their God.

Let us make us a house for God to dwell in. He lives in us. This is why we must keep ourselves hhealthy for God to dwell in. You don’t have to he carnel to be healthy.

  35. 22 Wherefore thou art great, O Lord God: for there is none like thee, neither is there any God beside thee, according to all that we have heard with our ears.

God no one can compare to you, you are an amazing God!

  36. When you have a heart to do the work of the kingdom, God will give you direction. Our ears have to be attentive to whay God is saying and our heart ready to receive what God has for us. We can do all things in Christ.

  37. “In all the places wherein I have walked with all the children of Israel spake I a word with any of the tribes of Israel, whom I commanded to feed my people Israel, saying, Why build ye not me an house of cedar?” The word of God (Jesus) identified the outlook of the house. The Creator (Jesus) identified that he needed nothing, as he made (created) all things and everyone. Dear God, open our eyes that we would be mindful and careful too not put our views before yours. God Bless America, Israel, Jerusalem, and you all in Jesus name, Amen!

  38. “Then went king David in, and sat before the Lord, and he said, Who am I, O Lord God? and what is my house, that thou hast brought me hitherto?” David with all his fame and accomplishments, remembered that is was not because of self; however it was all because of the Lord. We should be mindful as the Lord can use whichever vessel that he so chose’s. God help us that our heart’s desire may be too become full of you, in Jesus name.

  39. Nathan prophesies to David. Hundreds of years after this, it would appear the prophecy was false; however, Christ would be born and fulfill it. We serve a gracious God and may he reign forevermore.

  40. 2 Samuel 7: 22 How great are you Sovereign Lord!! There is no one like you and there is no God but you as we have heard with your own ears. And who is like your People Israel the one nation on earth that God went out to redeem as a people for himself and to make a name for himself and to perform great and awesome wonders by driving out nations and their gods from before our people whom you redeem from Egypt? You have established your people Israel as your very own fo ever and you Lord have become their God.

  41. In this chapter is shows God in three different ways Him being a wonderful God, a loving father and a good listening friend.

Loving Father- “I will be his father, and he will be my son. If he sins, I will correct and discipline him with the rod, like any father would do.”
    ‭‭2 Samuel‬ ‭7:14‬ ‭NLT‬‬
( with a loving father comes discipline)

Great God- “I have been with you wherever you have gone, and I have destroyed all your enemies before your eyes. Now I will make your name as famous as anyone who has ever lived on the earth!”
    ‭‭2 Samuel‬ ‭7:9‬ ‭NLT‬‬
(He was with David the whole time and protected him)

Listening friend- ““What more can I say to you? You know what your servant is really like, Sovereign LORD. Because of your promise and according to your will, you have done all these great things and have made them known to your servant.”
    ‭‭2 Samuel‬ ‭7:20-21‬ ‭NLT‬‬
( with David’s prayer saying that God really knows his servant, that shows that God listens to David’s desires)

Just like these three things God did for David, He also does for us. We truly have an amazing God who loves us to not only die for us but as well as continuing to help, protect and love us.

  42. God promises David rest from all his enemies and is fulfilled for a time during his reign (vs 1) yet Gods promise doesn’t end there. It continues after David’s death and is fulfilled completely through Jesus Christ’s reign as king of kings. A descendant of David, Jesus is the fulfillment of this promise to David of a long forever on the throne (vs 11). God will always keep his promises he makes to us. We should follow His example and keep our promises we make too.

  43. “For thy word’s sake, and according to thine own heart, hast thou done all these great things, to make thy servant know them.”(2 Samuel‬ ‭7:21‬ ‭KJV)

David’s prayers were full of his own devout affection toward God. David was humbled and had low thoughts on his own merits. What God has bless us with we must look upon as divine gifts. We should take David’s example to speak highly and honorably of the lords favour on us.

  44. 25“And now, O LORD God, I am your servant; do as you have promised concerning me and my family. Confirm it as a promise that will last forever.

The act of humility being presented here. Only someone wanting a relationship with God will claim, “use me Lord, I’m your servant”.

  45. 10 Moreover I will appoint a place for my people Israel, and will plant them, that they may dwell in a place of their own, and move no more; neither shall the children of wickedness afflict them any more, as beforetime,

Gods desire is for His people to be permitly plannted in one place and its in Him. Where we cannot be afflicted by the enemy no more. The great thing is He is so grand that our growth has no end. We must continue to grow in Him! GROW
