1 Kings 10

1 And when the queen of Sheba heard of the fame of Solomon concerning the name of the Lord, she came to prove him with hard questions.

2 And she came to Jerusalem with a very great train, with camels that bare spices, and very much gold, and precious stones: and when she was come to Solomon, she communed with him of all that was in her heart.

3 And Solomon told her all her questions: there was not any thing hid from the king, which he told her not.

4 And when the queen of Sheba had seen all Solomon’s wisdom, and the house that he had built,

5 And the meat of his table, and the sitting of his servants, and the attendance of his ministers, and their apparel, and his cupbearers, and his ascent by which he went up unto the house of the Lord; there was no more spirit in her.

6 And she said to the king, It was a true report that I heard in mine own land of thy acts and of thy wisdom.

7 Howbeit I believed not the words, until I came, and mine eyes had seen it: and, behold, the half was not told me: thy wisdom and prosperity exceedeth the fame which I heard.

8 Happy are thy men, happy are these thy servants, which stand continually before thee, and that hear thy wisdom.

9 Blessed be the Lord thy God, which delighted in thee, to set thee on the throne of Israel: because the Lord loved Israel for ever, therefore made he thee king, to do judgment and justice.

10 And she gave the king an hundred and twenty talents of gold, and of spices very great store, and precious stones: there came no more such abundance of spices as these which the queen of Sheba gave to king Solomon.

11 And the navy also of Hiram, that brought gold from Ophir, brought in from Ophir great plenty of almug trees, and precious stones.

12 And the king made of the almug trees pillars for the house of the Lord, and for the king’s house, harps also and psalteries for singers: there came no such almug trees, nor were seen unto this day.

13 And king Solomon gave unto the queen of Sheba all her desire, whatsoever she asked, beside that which Solomon gave her of his royal bounty. So she turned and went to her own country, she and her servants.

14 Now the weight of gold that came to Solomon in one year was six hundred threescore and six talents of gold,

15 Beside that he had of the merchantmen, and of the traffick of the spice merchants, and of all the kings of Arabia, and of the governors of the country.

16 And king Solomon made two hundred targets of beaten gold: six hundred shekels of gold went to one target.

17 And he made three hundred shields of beaten gold; three pound of gold went to one shield: and the king put them in the house of the forest of Lebanon.

18 Moreover the king made a great throne of ivory, and overlaid it with the best gold.

19 The throne had six steps, and the top of the throne was round behind: and there were stays on either side on the place of the seat, and two lions stood beside the stays.

20 And twelve lions stood there on the one side and on the other upon the six steps: there was not the like made in any kingdom.

21 And all king Solomon’s drinking vessels were of gold, and all the vessels of the house of the forest of Lebanon were of pure gold; none were of silver: it was nothing accounted of in the days of Solomon.

22 For the king had at sea a navy of Tharshish with the navy of Hiram: once in three years came the navy of Tharshish, bringing gold, and silver, ivory, and apes, and peacocks.

23 So king Solomon exceeded all the kings of the earth for riches and for wisdom.

24 And all the earth sought to Solomon, to hear his wisdom, which God had put in his heart.

25 And they brought every man his present, vessels of silver, and vessels of gold, and garments, and armour, and spices, horses, and mules, a rate year by year.

26 And Solomon gathered together chariots and horsemen: and he had a thousand and four hundred chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen, whom he bestowed in the cities for chariots, and with the king at Jerusalem.

27 And the king made silver to be in Jerusalem as stones, and cedars made he to be as the sycomore trees that are in the vale, for abundance.

28 And Solomon had horses brought out of Egypt, and linen yarn: the king’s merchants received the linen yarn at a price.

29 And a chariot came up and went out of Egypt for six hundred shekels of silver, and an horse for an hundred and fifty: and so for all the kings of the Hittites, and for the kings of Syria, did they bring them out by their means.

  1. Verses 6-9 MSG ” She said to the king, “It’s all true! Your reputation for accomplishment and wisdom that reached all the way to my country is confirmed. I wouldn’t have believed it if I hadn’t seen it for myself; they didn’t exaggerate! Such wisdom and elegance—far more than I could ever have imagined. Lucky the men and women who work for you, getting to be around you every day and hear your wise words firsthand! And blessed be God, your God, who took such a liking to you and made you king. Clearly, God’s love for Israel is behind this, making you king to keep a just order and nurture a God-pleasing people.” Just like the queen of Sheba, when people come to POFW, they should leave with a praise report of who God is as they have come to see for themselves the goodness of my God.

  2. 24 And all the earth sought to Solomon, to hear his wisdom, which God had put in his heart.

25 And they brought every man his present, vessels of silver, and vessels of gold, and garments, and armour, and spices, horses, and mules, a rate year by year.

Luke 6:38 Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.

Solomon did not hide the gift that God gave him but rather he shared his wisdom with all that were seeking it. Through that God blessed him exceeding abundantly!

  3. 9. Praise the Eternal One your God, who believed in you enough to give you Israel’s throne. He is devoted to Israel forever; that is why He has made such a great man as you king. He knows you will dispense righteousness and justice fairly and wisely.

He is still devoted to Israel. I pray that whomever gets elected doesn’t put us at odds against them, we can’t afford it.

  4. GROW HAPPY

8 Happy are thy men, happy are these thy servants, which stand continually before thee, and that hear thy wisdom.

The asset and influence of WISDOM cannot be calculated. WISDOM will GROW a Ministry, Church or Business, it will also Bless a family or household. My personal prayer and goal is to walk in the wisdom of the LORD JESUS.

We witness important people coming to see King Solomon, we witness gifts being brought and sent to King Solomon. We witness the splendor of the house of King Solomon. But, most important is the condition and attitude of the people around the King with WISDOM from GOD.

    HAPPY
    HAPPY

Happy servants and Happy men. Wisdom makes those around us and those who serve us HAPPY. I seek today to GROW WISDOM and GROW HAPPY.

    iRepent
    iPraise
    iPray

  5. With all the abundance that Solomon was blessed with it is a great example of how the LORD will bless you when you make a place for Him to dwell in your everyday life. We may not have a temple gilded in gold but we have something better. We have the voice of our supplication and our common alter. We can call upon Him and feel the presence of the LORD in our lives no matter where we are. We don’t need a temple. We ARE the temple! Hallelujah!!

  6. 1 Kings 10:9 “Blessed be the LORD thy God, which delighted in thee, to set thee on the throne of Israel: because the LORD loved Israel for ever, therefore made he thee king to do judgment and justice.”

  7. 1 And when the queen of Sheba heard of the fame of Solomon concerning the name of the Lord, she came to prove him with hard questions.

When you are in a place of authority, you will be tested. When more and more of your friends and family hear that you are an apostolic believer in Jesus, you will start to get tested with hard questions. And the higher in ministry you get placed in, the harder the questions will become. You need to be prepared and the way to do that is to read up on the word of God. Read and study the scriptures day and night so that you have them memorized in your heart so that when you do get faced with a hard question, you will know how to answer it.

  8. It should be like this today!!!!

1 And when the queen of Sheba heard of the fame of Solomon concerning the name of the Lord, she came to prove him with hard questions.

It should be the same, we should be sharing our testimony and spreading the good news, so everyone would get curious, and come see what is this everyone is saying about The Pentecostals of Fort Worth. Always speak positive and always share your testimony. Revelation 12:11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

May the Lord give us the boldness to speak His word to all!!! In Jesus Name Amen

  9. 8 Happy are thy men, happy are these thy servants, which stand continually before thee, and that hear thy wisdom.

9 Blessed be the Lord thy God, which delighted in thee, to set thee on the throne of Israel: because the Lord loved Israel for ever, therefore made he thee king, to do judgment and justice.

  10. iLove to Grow in the Word
7 Howbeit I believed not the words, until I came, and mine eyes had seen it: and, behold, the half was not told me: thy wisdom and prosperity exceedeth the fame which I heard.

I can imagine this will be an example of how it will be when we make it to heaven. Seeing the King on the throne and walking on streets of gold will take ones breath away.

  11. She said to the king, “The report I Heard in my own contry about your achievements and your wisdom is true. 1 kings 10-6 (NIV)

In the four years of knowing the true gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ and what it means to be a true Christian; I see The Importance of Being genuine.

  12. “The queen of Sheba heard about Solomon and his connection with the Name of GOD. She came to put his reputation to the test by asking tough questions.
    1 Kings 10:1

Prove God is faithful. Do what He asks of you and watch and see if He holds up his end of the promise.

    Malachi 3:10
Test me in this and see if I don’t open up heaven itself to you and pour out blessings beyond your wildest dreams. For my part, I will defend you against marauders, protect your wheat fields and vegetable gardens against plunderers.”

  13. 1 Kings 10:27 (KJV Strong’s)
27 And the king made silver to be in Jerusalem as stones, and cedars made he to be as the sycomore trees that are in the vale, for abundance.

My prayer for PoFW is that an abundance of wealth would spring forth where silver is as abundant as stones and cedars will stand instead of sycamore.

May these tiny debts, in the eyes of God, be paid and the church build the next phase.

  14. “She said to the king, “Back in my own country I heard a report about you. I heard about how much you had accomplished. I also heard about how wise you are. Everything I heard is true. But I didn’t believe those things. So I came to see for myself. And now I believe it! You are twice as wise and wealthy as people say you are. The report I heard doesn’t even begin to tell the whole story about you.”
    ‭‭1 Kings‬ ‭10:6-7‬ ‭NIRV‬‬

Put Jesus on parade! With all the negativity around us lets show them what God has done in our personal lives. No one can tell it like you can. Let Jesus out!

  15. 24 And all the earth sought to Solomon, to hear his wisdom, which God had put in his heart.

God put wisdom in our heart to me that mean we know right and wrong

  16. 1 And when the queen of Sheba heard of the fame of Solomon concerning the name of the Lord, she came to prove him with hard questions.

2 And she came to Jerusalem with a very great train, with camels that bare spices, and very much gold, and precious stones: and when she was come to Solomon, she communed with him of all that was in her heart.

3 And Solomon told her all her questions: there was not any thing hid from the king, which he told her not.

When we allow God to move through us, it will be noised abroad and many will come to see what the Lord has done, and is doing. This is a critical time for people. Solomon could have gotten puffed up in “his” wisdom and knowledge, but he recognized it was only by the grace and favor of the Lord. We must recognize the same. Some people get a little touch of the glory of God and begin boasting of themselves. This will not draw attention to what the Lord is doing.

What is the Lord speaking to you today to accomplish? Will you accept the challenge? Will God receive all the glory? Just some things to think about.

  17. 7 Howbeit I believed not the words, until I came, and mine eyes had seen it: and, behold, the half was not told me: thy wisdom and prosperity exceedeth the fame which I heard.

We haven’t seen anything yet church! The end time revival and then heaven will be amazing to be a part of. Revival Now!

  18. 7 Howbeit I believed not the words, until I came, and mine eyes had seen it: and, behold, the half was not told me: thy wisdom and prosperity exceedeth the fame which I heard.

When we serve in the kingdom we can be happy like those in Solomons house. Happiness in life comes from serving. Happiness in life comes from being in the will ofGod. Let’s get involved in serving in the kingdom and let God use us.

  19. 8 Happy are thy men, happy are these thy servants, which stand continually before thee, and that hear thy wisdom.

9 Blessed be the Lord thy God, which delighted in thee, to set thee on the throne of Israel: because the Lord loved Israel for ever, therefore made he thee king, to do judgment and justice.

John 16:33 – These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

There is peace in the midst of the storm! Don’t leave the church your answer isn’t in the world. Keep pressing on, even when the trials come.
    I think myself happy!

  20. When the queen of Sheba heard of Solomon’s fame, which brought honor to the name of the Lord , she came to test him with hard questions.
    1 Kings 10:1 NLT

People will begin to hear of the great and mighty things that God is doing for his church for us at POFW.. May that fame bring honor to the name of the Lord Jesus.

  21. “Howbeit I believed not the words, until I came, and mine eyes had seen it: and, behold, the half was not told me: thy wisdom and prosperity exceedeth the fame which I heard.” The word of God (Jesus) identified what it took to believe. The return of God is close, which one that is waiting to decide until they see it, may never see it. Dear God, awaken us while there is yet time. God Bless America, Israel, Jerusalem, and you all in Jesus name, Amen!

  22. “And king Solomon gave unto the queen of Sheba all her desire, whatsoever she asked, beside that which Solomon gave her of his royal bounty. So she turned and went to her own country, she and her servants.” Solomon gave unto Sheba what she desired, this was possible because the Lord gave unto Solomon. The Lord is still giving today, too those that desire; unfortunately many desire only the things of this world. God open our eyes and ears so that we may desire more of you, in Jesus name.

  23. “And she said to the king, It was a true report that I heard in mine own land of thy acts and of thy wisdom. Howbeit I believed not the words, until I came, and mine eyes had seen it: and, behold, the half was not told me: thy wisdom and prosperity exceedeth the fame which I heard.”
    ‭‭1 Kings‬ ‭10:6-7‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Solomon was not seeking fame, but he got it. He was seeking God first and that is the reason he got all the things that followed.

  24. Your reputation proceeds you

1 And when the queen of Sheba heard of the fame of Solomon concerning the name of the Lord, she came to prove him with hard questions

Your name can travel faster than you can. In my line of work it is very important that you keep a good name. It is important that you protect your reputation. It may be the difference in eating an not eating. When you are on top people always ask you the hard questions. This is why the bible says to be in season out of season. Be ready to answer or an account. When your able to answer the hard questions your critics turn into your biggest fans.

  25. The queen of the North had to see it for herself. Solomon’s wisdom was more than she imagined. God is able to wow the world through us. Let us each realize our strengths and use them for God’s glory. May our gifts shine to the world.

  26. People find it hard to believe that the Lord can give us mighty gifts through His power. Solomon had great wisdom and many were curious of this phenomenon. Don’t let others’ opinions or skepticism cause you to hide the gifts God gives you. You were meant for more so do more!

  27. 3 Solomon had answers for all her questions; nothing was too hard for the king to explain to her. (NLT)

Nothing is impossible or too hard for my God, and when we allow Him to work through us, He will show Himself mighty!

  28. 24 And all the earth sought to Solomon, to hear his wisdom, which God had put in his heart.

it’s time to grow in wisdom. Many will come and see but we can also grow in discernment. Solomon was wise yet so unwise. I believe the wiser we become the more we have to pray for the spirit of discernment. This will aid us from falling into the pit of lies from “strange women” and allowing out hearts to be turned away from God.

  29. The journey from Sheba which is a nation in southwest Arabia must be very long and tiring. Jesus himself later notes that “she (the Queen of Sheba) came from the ends of the earth to listen to Solomon’s wisdom. (Mat 12:42). The queen has several reasons for her trip. Her curiosity is a big factor seeing the rumors of Solomon’s wisdom and wealth have spread all throughout Arabia. Maybe even to enter into a trade agreement because her ships and Solomon’s could work together. Though she is impressed with the Lord of Israel (vs 9) it doesn’t mention if she developed a relationship believing in God. She may have just accepted our God but just counted him as all the other gods of the other nations but not over others and equal to other gods she knows and worships. What if she knew and worshiped God and returned to her nation and they believed in the one true God because of Solomon.

  30. “Blessed be the Lord thy God, which delighted in thee, to set thee on the throne of Israel: because the Lord loved Israel for ever, therefore made he thee king, to do judgment and justice.”(1 Kings‬ ‭10:9‬ ‭KJV)

Bless it be the Lord thy God for all the blessing and praise are due to our God for delighting to honour and advance so worthy a person,to set thee on the throne of Israel. It was God’s special act to make him king rather than his elder brother,to do judgment and justice,to execute just judgment among them,to govern them according to right and equity.

  31. 1 And when the queen of Sheba heard of the fame of Solomon concerning the name of the Lord, she came to prove him with hard questions

4 And when the queen of Sheba had seen all Solomon’s wisdom, and the house that he had built,

6 And she said to the king, It was a true report that I heard in mine own land of thy acts and of thy wisdom.

The Queen of Sheba had heard some much of the fame of Solomon that she wanted to see for herself, so she traveled from far away just to see of his wisdom if it was true what she had heard. She was amazed of what she had seen and now knows that everything she had heard was true, she gave Solomon gifts including gold.

  32. 1When the queen of Sheba heard of Solomon’s fame, which brought honor to the name of the LORD,a she came to test him with hard questions.

Just like Sheba does, we too are tested each daily. People, friends and coworkers look at our actions. Our actions should show we are men of God, and we ought to be ready to answer their questions about God when asked.
