1 Chronicles 29

1 Furthermore David the king said unto all the congregation, Solomon my son, whom alone God hath chosen, is yet young and tender, and the work is great: for the palace is not for man, but for the Lord God.

2 Now I have prepared with all my might for the house of my God the gold for things to be made of gold, and the silver for things of silver, and the brass for things of brass, the iron for things of iron, and wood for things of wood; onyx stones, and stones to be set, glistering stones, and of divers colours, and all manner of precious stones, and marble stones in abundance.

3 Moreover, because I have set my affection to the house of my God, I have of mine own proper good, of gold and silver, which I have given to the house of my God, over and above all that I have prepared for the holy house.

4 Even three thousand talents of gold, of the gold of Ophir, and seven thousand talents of refined silver, to overlay the walls of the houses withal:

5 The gold for things of gold, and the silver for things of silver, and for all manner of work to be made by the hands of artificers. And who then is willing to consecrate his service this day unto the Lord?

6 Then the chief of the fathers and princes of the tribes of Israel and the captains of thousands and of hundreds, with the rulers of the king’s work, offered willingly,

7 And gave for the service of the house of God of gold five thousand talents and ten thousand drams, and of silver ten thousand talents, and of brass eighteen thousand talents, and one hundred thousand talents of iron.

8 And they with whom precious stones were found gave them to the treasure of the house of the Lord, by the hand of Jehiel the Gershonite.

9 Then the people rejoiced, for that they offered willingly, because with perfect heart they offered willingly to the Lord: and David the king also rejoiced with great joy.

10 Wherefore David blessed the Lord before all the congregation: and David said, Blessed be thou, Lord God of Israel our father, for ever and ever.

11 Thine, O Lord is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine; thine is the kingdom, O Lord, and thou art exalted as head above all.

12 Both riches and honour come of thee, and thou reignest over all; and in thine hand is power and might; and in thine hand it is to make great, and to give strength unto all.

13 Now therefore, our God, we thank thee, and praise thy glorious name.

14 But who am I, and what is my people, that we should be able to offer so willingly after this sort? for all things come of thee, and of thine own have we given thee.

15 For we are strangers before thee, and sojourners, as were all our fathers: our days on the earth are as a shadow, and there is none abiding.

16 O Lord our God, all this store that we have prepared to build thee an house for thine holy name cometh of thine hand, and is all thine own.

17 I know also, my God, that thou triest the heart, and hast pleasure in uprightness. As for me, in the uprightness of mine heart I have willingly offered all these things: and now have I seen with joy thy people, which are present here, to offer willingly unto thee.

18 O Lord God of Abraham, Isaac, and of Israel, our fathers, keep this for ever in the imagination of the thoughts of the heart of thy people, and prepare their heart unto thee:

19 And give unto Solomon my son a perfect heart, to keep thy commandments, thy testimonies, and thy statutes, and to do all these things, and to build the palace, for the which I have made provision.

20 And David said to all the congregation, Now bless the Lord your God. And all the congregation blessed the Lord God of their fathers, and bowed down their heads, and worshipped the Lord, and the king.

21 And they sacrificed sacrifices unto the Lord, and offered burnt offerings unto the Lord, on the morrow after that day, even a thousand bullocks, a thousand rams, and a thousand lambs, with their drink offerings, and sacrifices in abundance for all Israel:

22 And did eat and drink before the Lord on that day with great gladness. And they made Solomon the son of David king the second time, and anointed him unto the Lord to be the chief governor, and Zadok to be priest.

23 Then Solomon sat on the throne of the Lord as king instead of David his father, and prospered; and all Israel obeyed him.

24 And all the princes, and the mighty men, and all the sons likewise of king David, submitted themselves unto Solomon the king.

25 And the Lord magnified Solomon exceedingly in the sight of all Israel, and bestowed upon him such royal majesty as had not been on any king before him in Israel.

26 Thus David the son of Jesse reigned over all Israel.

27 And the time that he reigned over Israel was forty years; seven years reigned he in Hebron, and thirty and three years reigned he in Jerusalem.

28 And he died in a good old age, full of days, riches, and honour: and Solomon his son reigned in his stead.

29 Now the acts of David the king, first and last, behold, they are written in the book of Samuel the seer, and in the book of Nathan the prophet, and in the book of Gad the seer,

30 With all his reign and his might, and the times that went over him, and over Israel, and over all the kingdoms of the countries.

  1. Verses 5-6 MSG says “and for the gold and silver work by craftsmen and artisans. “And now, how about you? Who among you is ready and willing to join in the giving?” Ready and willing, the heads of families, leaders of the tribes of Israel, commanders and captains in the army, stewards of the king’s affairs, stepped forward and gave willingly.” Wow….this sounds familiar….where they at church Sunday night or what? As verse 9 says we (POFW) can vast in giving our God all honor and all glory for providing. “And the people were full of a sense of celebration—all that giving! And all given willingly, freely! King David was exuberant.”

We must always remember POFW verses 14-18 CEV “But why should we be happy that we have given you these gifts? They belong to you, and we have only given back what is already yours. We are only foreigners living here on earth for a while, just as our ancestors were. And we will soon be gone, like a shadow that suddenly disappears. Our Lord God, we have brought all these things for building a temple to honor you. They belong to you, and you gave them to us. But we are happy, because everyone has voluntarily given you these things. You know what is in everyone’s heart, and you are pleased when people are honest. Always make us eager to give, and help us be faithful to you, just as our ancestors Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob faithfully worshiped you.”

  2. 9 Then the people rejoiced, for that they offered willingly, because with perfect heart they offered willingly to the Lord: and David the king also rejoiced with great joy……..

14 But who am I, and what is my people, that we should be able to offer so willingly after this sort? for all things come of thee, and of thine own have we given thee.

17 I know also, my God, that thou triest the heart, and hast pleasure in uprightness. As for me, in the uprightness of mine heart I have willingly offered all these things: and now have I seen with joy thy people, which are present here, to offer willingly unto thee.

OFFEREING up to God WILLINGLY,…………,the people had a willing heart to offer up what they had to God. When we come to the place of recognizing that it all does belong to God. We can offer up willingly……even in sacrifice it must be with a willing heart. Whether it is time ,abilities, talents, services, finances it will be blessed when given willingly unto God!

  3. It belongs to Him anyway ,we were created to serve. We have the choice will we choose wisely? Willingly or begrudging? Working or Sleeping Watching or Particpating? OFFEREING up to God Willingly. The choice is ours.

  4. 1. Then King David turned to the entire assembly and said, “My son Solomon, whom God has clearly chosen as the next king of Israel, is still young and inexperienced. The work ahead of him is enormous, for the Temple he will build is not for mere mortals-it is for the LORD God himself! NLT

The work ahead of us to Impact Fort Worth is enormous, but all of the time, talent, and treasure we give is not for man, but for God.
Just as Solomon was completing David’s desire and had David’s support and resources, we are doing God’s will, so we have His support and resources; therefore, we cannot fail.

  5. But who am I, and what is my people, that we should be able to offer so willingly after this sort? for all things come of thee, and of thine own have we given thee.
    1 Chronicles 29:14 KJV

It’s a mind set!!! Like a rewiring of the brain like Dr. Hughes mentioned about the ability of the brain. But most of all it’s a HEART ISSUE,THEREFORE IT IS A SALVATION ISSUE TO BE ABLE TO GIVE WILLINGLY UNTO GOD.
    Mark 12:30 KJV)
And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.

    Help us JESUS

  6. 18 O Lord God of Abraham, Isaac, and of Israel, our fathers, keep this for ever in the imagination of the thoughts of the heart of thy people, and prepare their heart unto thee:

  7. “Then the people rejoiced because they had given willingly, for with a whole and blameless heart they had offered freely to the LORD. King David also rejoiced greatly.

I know also, my God, that You test the heart and delight in uprightness and integrity. In the uprightness of my heart I have willingly offered all these things. So now with joy I have seen Your people who are present here, make their offerings willingly and freely to You.”
    ‭‭1 CHRONICLES‬ ‭29:9, 17‬ ‭AMP‬‬

There is joy in sacrificial giving. They didn’t hold back. They didn’t murmur and complain that it was too much. They wholeheartedly, freely with great joy offered their sacrifice. And the result was they were full of joy.

  8. 9 Then the people rejoiced, for that they offered willingly, because with perfect heart they offered willingly to the Lord: and David the king also rejoiced with great joy.

When you give unto God, give to him with a willing heart. God doesn’t want to see people give with a discontent heart, it’s better not to give than to give grudgingly. God sees your heart, so when he sees the joy in your heart when you give, he will bless you for it.

  9. iLove to Grow in the Word
1 Chronicles 29:5-6 NLT (5) and for the other gold and silver work to be done by the craftsmen. Now then, who will follow my example and give offerings to the LORD today?” (6) Then the family leaders, the leaders of the tribes of Israel, the generals and captains of the army, and the king’s administrative officers all gave willingly.

Thank You Jesus. Notice what happens when the Leader gives…the Leadership follows. David had all this gold and silver built up and yet he still had to give more. We too, even though we have given and sacrificed, we must be ready to follow the leader no matter where he goes or what he gives. It’s hard to imagine giving when there is huge mounds of Gold on the platform, but that’s exactly what David did. Even though it appeared like there was enough, God made sure there was enough.

  10. Thank God for Leader’s who pass the Baton
I Chronicles 29:28 So he died in a good old age, full of days and riches and honor; and Solomon his son reigned in his place.

As his life was ebbing away, David prepared his son Solomon to give oversight to the construction of the temple. The old king was determined to ensure legacy by setting up the next leader and committing him to the care of God Almighty. Look closely at what he did:
1.He rallied all the people together.
2.He affirmed God’s choice of his successor.
3.He identified the great need for help.
4.He reminded the people of his own commitment.
5.He declared that the people were well on their way to the goal.
    6.He asked for commitment.

I see Pastor in this, he never ask POFW to do anything that he had not already demonstrated. Because people do what people see, he motivates the POFW to:
Sacrificially give toward God’s kingdom (IFT etc.) Support ministrie’s and their leadership.
Rejoice in what God was doing among them

  11. 21 And they sacrificed sacrifices unto the Lord, and offered burnt offerings unto the Lord, on the morrow after that day, even a thousand bullocks, a thousand rams, and a thousand lambs, with their drink offerings, and sacrifices in abundance for all Israel:
22 And did eat and drink before the Lord on that day with great gladness. And they made Solomon the son of David king the second time, and anointed him unto the Lord to be the chief governor, and Zadok to be priest.

    The second anointing.

As a young boy I was told. You have an anointing on your life. I was like cool. And I knew that through big league stories that meant that I was blessed of God. But you see the kings of old were anointed king before they became the king. Then when it was time to become king. They were anointed again as such.
Now In our own lives we know God has called us to do things for his kingdom. But it’s not until we do them that we get the second anointing that God wants to give us. This is why when people turn away from their calling that they are still blessed somewhat blessed. I say somewhat because if they would have stayed they would have gotten a fun dose of the anointing. So be blessed and stay with your calling. The second anointing is on its way.

  12. 12 Wealth and honor come from you alone, for you rule over everything. Power and might are in your hand, and at your discretion people are made great and given strength.

Its easy to get lost in the motions and “forget” where your talent and abilities really come from. We would capable of nothing and be nothing without God. Its because of Him that we were blessed with our gifts and abilities!

  13. 18 “O Lord, the God of our ancestors Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, make your people always want to obey you. See to it that their love for you never changes. 19 Give my son Solomon the wholehearted desire to obey all your commands, laws, and decrees, and to do everything necessary to build this Temple, for which I have made these preparations.” (NLT)

David’s prayer is a leaders prayer over his people. These two verses I found fitting for the youth. Lord, “make your young people (ISM) always want to obey you. See to it that their love for you never changes. Give ISM (the next generation) the wholehearted desire to obey all your commands, laws and decrees and to do everything necessary to build this Temple (their own for you to dwell in and this house, POFW), for which the elders have made preparations (and have taught us well to do).” In Jesus Name!

  14. 11 Thine, O Lord is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine; thine is the kingdom, O Lord, and thou art exalted as head above all.

12 Both riches and honour come of thee, and thou reignest over all; and in thine hand is power and might; and in thine hand it is to make great, and to give strength unto all.

13 Now therefore, our God, we thank thee, and praise thy glorious name.

  15. 17 I know also, my God, that thou triest the heart, and hast pleasure in uprightness. As for me, in the uprightness of mine heart I have willingly offered all these things: and now have I seen with joy thy people, which are present here, to offer willingly unto thee.

  16. 11 Thine, O Lord is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine; thine is the kingdom, O Lord, and thou art exalted as head above all.

Our heart would always be full of gratitude if we recognize that it all belongs to the Lord. That even the air we breath is given to us by His Mighty hand. Once we recognize who owns all we are, we will recognize how insignificant we are without Him!!! Thank you Jesus Acts 17:28 For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.

  17. 16 Lord our God, all this abundance that we have provided for building you a temple for your Holy Name comes from your hand, and all of it belongs to you. 17 I know, my God, that you test the heart and are pleased with integrity. All these things I have given willingly and with honest intent. And now I have seen with joy how willingly your people who are here have given to you.

I read this and saw what happened on Sunday. We all sacrificed and gave wholeheartedly because everything is His anyways. It was beautiful how we all united together and sacrificed together. Unity goes a long ways. These are the moments as the body we will never forget. All for the glory and honor of God. Growing His Kingdom. Praise God!!!!

  18. 1 Chronicles 19: 16 Lord Our God all this abundance that we have provided for building you a temple for your Holy Name comes from your hand and all of it belongs to you. I know my God that you test the heart and are pleased with Integrity. All these things I have given willingly and with honest intent. And now I have seen with joy how willingly your people who are here have given to you. Lord the god of Our Father Abraham Isaac and Israel keep these desires and thoughts in the hearts of your people forever and keep their hearts loyal to you. And give my son Solomon the wholehearted devotion to keep your commands statues and decrease and to do everything to build the palatial structure for which I have provided. Then David said to the whole assembly Praise the Lord Our God so they all praise the Lord the God of their fathers they bowed down prostrating themselves before the Lord and the King.

We must come to church with joy gladness and a willing heart to praise Jesus. For God has already fought our battles and he has given us victory over all things.

  19. 1 Chronicles 29:16-18 (NLT)
    16) O LORD our God, even this material we have gathered to build a Temple to honor your holy name comes from you! It all belongs to you!
    17) I know, my God, that you examine our hearts and rejoice when you find integrity there. You know I have done all this with good motives, and I have watched your people offer their gifts willingly and joyously.
    18) O LORD, the God of our ancestors Abraham, Issac, and Israel, make your people always want to obey you. See to it that their love for you never changes.

Everything we have (time, talent, treasure) God gave to us, and it all belongs to Him. The important thing is “what are we going to do with it? Are we going to keep it for ourselves or give it back for the use of His kingdom with a willing and joyful heart?”

At POFW, may we always give with a Willing and Joyful Heart, may we always Obey Him, and may our Love for Him Never Change.

  20. 14 But who am I, and what is my people, that we should be able to offer so willingly after this sort? for all things come of thee, and of thine own have we given thee.
15 For we are strangers before thee, and sojourners, as were all our fathers: our days on the earth are as a shadow, and there is none abiding.

Giving should always be from a willing heart because we know what we have comes from God, it’s all his!

  21. 25 And the Lord magnified Solomon exceedingly in the sight of all Israel, and bestowed upon him such royal majesty as had not been on any king before him in Israel.

Its great to see that after years of David running for his life and pursuing the call and promise of God for kingship that finally he accomplished his goal and was blessed to rule for a long time. Its also amazing to see how he prepared and trained his son to be used by God and his son was the one who got to build a Temple for the Lord.

  22. GROW YOUR PRAISE

The foundation of PRAISE is understanding the who and the why.

WHO we PRAISE is the creator of heaven and earth as well as the source of riches and honor. He also reigns over all and gives strength to all. His name is JESUS! This is JESUS is the most powerful word in our vocabulary. When we PRAISE JESUS we are inviting creation, healing, power and glory to reign in our lives and situation.

WHY we PRAISE JESUS is similar to the WHO we PRAISE. For the same reasons we know WHO we find the WHY.

Because Greatness, Power, Glory, Victory and Majesty belong to JESUS. Because all of heaven and earth belong to JESUS. Because riches (money) and honor (position) belong to JESUS. Because Power, Might and Strength are in his hand.

It is safe to say that anything and everything we need is sourced through JESUS. We MUST GROW our PRAISE.

    iRepent
    iPraise
    iPray
    iWork
    iGive
    iReap

  23. AMP 5 Now then, who will follow my example and give offerings to the Lord today?”

6 Then the family leaders, the leaders of the tribes of Israel, the generals and captains of the army,[c] and the king’s administrative officers all gave willingly.

David sacrificed first then ask the people who would follow in his example? Its hard to get people to do something that you don’t / won’t do yourself. If you want to be a good leader, lead by example.

  24. 17 I know also, my God, that thou triest the heart, and hast pleasure in uprightness. As for me, in the uprightness of mine heart I have willingly offered all these things: and now have I seen with joy thy people, which are present here, to offer willingly unto thee.
Are we/you offering our praise willingly or doing it cause we are we being watched? I offer up my offering and praise willingly to the Lord.

  25. 9 Then the people rejoiced, for that they offered willingly, because with perfect heart they offered willingly to the Lord: and David the king also rejoiced with great joy.

They willingly gave to the lord the bible say in NLT that they rejoice because they had gave willingly.

David remind us in his prayer. Everything we Have comes from the lord first.
If god give us his first best. The we should Not hold back give him our first best. Daivd remind us in his prayer that god is put first he always first

Wealth and honor come from you alone, for you rule over everything. Power and might are in your hand, and at your discretion people are made great and given strength. But who am I, and who are my people, that we could give anything to you? Everything we have has come from you, and we give you only what you first gave us! We are here for only a moment, visitors and strangers in the land as our ancestors were before us. Our days on earth are like a passing shadow, gone so soon without a trace. “O  Lord our God, even this material we have gathered to build a Temple to honor your holy name comes from you! It all belongs to you! I know, my God, that you examine our hearts and rejoice when you find integrity there. You know I have done all this with good motives, and I have watched your people offer their gifts willingly and joyously.
    1 Chronicles 29:12‭, ‬14‭-‬17 NLT

  26. Solomon became king, everybody rejoiced and gave offerings to the Lord willingly. Thank you Lord for making a way when there is no way. God knows the intention of the heart when you give sacrificially.

  27. Who is it for?

1 Furthermore David the king said unto all the congregation, Solomon my son, whom alone God hath chosen, is yet young and tender, and the work is great: for the palace is not for man, but for the Lord God.

With our new facility we can get distracted as to the purpose of what we are doing. While we do want to take pride in our facility and keep it clean and proper shape we must not lose focus as to the purpose of the building.

It is God’s house, not ours.

  28. “9 Then the people rejoiced, for that they offered willingly, because with perfect heart they offered willingly to the Lord: and David the king also rejoiced with great joy.”

    God honors a willing heart.

Salvation comes with a willing heart! Just because you may go to church every service does not mean your automatically saved. There HAS to be a willing heart with in you that will praise and worship God, and is WILLING to leave a life of comfort and pleasure behind! I feel that many young people to this day still believe that being at church every service but still living a life of 50/50 is okay. Thinking that once they get to live all they want in their young life and get to the “adult” stage THEN MAYBE they will make a change to serve God completely. Young people ! Just because mom and dad have put clothes on your back, have taken care of you when your sick, have taken care of your bills …. DOES NOT mean you can rely on them for getting into HEAVEN! If there’s ONE thing that no parent can get for you … it’s SALVATION! Stop relying on others to get you to heaven and focus on the ONE who can give you SALVATION free! I pray God REVEALS to this generation what a willing heart must be like! A heart that desires God’a work daily in their LIFE! Keep in mind … if there is no crown of life that awaits you … who will you blame?

  29. ““O LORD, the God of our ancestors Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, make your people always want to obey you. See to it that their love for you never changes.”
    ‭‭1 Chronicles‬ ‭29:18‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Lord look into our hearts that our love for you will stay the same, and we would prove that love to you through our obedience!

  30. 1 Chronicles 29:26-28 (NLT)
    Summary of David’s Reign
26 So David son of Jesse reigned over all Israel. 27 He reigned over Israel for forty years, seven of them in Hebron and thirty-three in Jerusalem. 28 He died at a ripe old age, having enjoyed long life, wealth, and honor. Then his son Solomon ruled in his place.

Don’t despise the small things. David started as a humble shepherd worshipping God in a field of sheep. His devotions pleased the heart of God and the Lord began to bless him.

Had anyone told David he would one day be king he probably would have laughed. But with God all things are possible.

Remember to do the seemingly small things. Read, pray, study, give, and reach and then see what God will do. He may take you from a sheep herder to kingdom authority.

  31. You are never to old or too young to do the Lord’s will. It is important that we follow the plan that God has laid out. That is the only way to get to heaven.

  32. 9 Then the people rejoiced, for that they offered willingly, because with perfect heart they offered willingly to the Lord: and David the king also rejoiced with great joy.

There is great joy in giving. When the people gave willingly and with a perfect heart meaning not grudging or counting and complaining the cost but gave with a good heart…then we see how they rejoiced. It is more blessed to give than to receive.

  33. v5 “Who then is willing to consecrate himself this day to the LORD?”

As HIS people we should serve HIM as well as love, adore, and worship HIM.

  34. “Moreover, because I have set my affection to the house of my God, I have of mine own proper good, of gold and silver, which I have given to the house of my God, over and above all that I have prepared for the holy house.” The word of God (Jesus) records he gave of his own. David was aware of his season in life and that he had nothing earthly to gain from his giving; therefore he was investing eternally. One is wise to invest in ones earthly future; however one that willing gives in like manner truly sacrifices. Dear God, help us be wise enough to save and also be willing to give unto you. God Bless America, Israel, Jerusalem, and you all in Jesus name, Amen!

  35. “But who am I, and what is my people, that we should be able to offer so willingly after this sort? for all things come of thee, and of thine own have we given thee.” David remembered and also reminded the people that everything was from the Lord; therefore everything belonged to the Lord. We should likewise remember that everything comes from the Lord. God bless us that we would remember and be thankful as all is from you, in Jesus name.

  36. 11 Thine, O Lord is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine; thine is the kingdom, O Lord, and thou art exalted as head above all.

  37. The real since of offerings

God already owns everything, he made it all!

“For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:”
    ‭‭Colossians‬ ‭1:16‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Why is it so hard to return finances back to the one who gave them in the first place. We don’t really own anything in this world but God is gracious enough to let us use his stuff and he blesses us with more than what we need. Offerings used to be celebrations of what God has done in your life. We need to return to that mindset. We give back to the Lord because we are thankful that he first gave to us.

  38. “Now I have prepared with all my might for the house of my God the gold for things to be made of gold, and the silver for things of silver, and the brass for things of brass, the iron for things of iron, and wood for things of wood; onyx stones, and stones to be set, glistering stones, and of divers colours, and all manner of precious stones, and marble stones in abundance. Moreover, because I have set my affection to the house of my God, I have of mine own proper good, of gold and silver, which I have given to the house of my God, over and above all that I have prepared for the holy house,”
    ‭‭1 Chronicles‬ ‭29:2-3‬ ‭KJV

He tried with all his might to make sure there was more than enough. He sacrificed our if his own supplies to give to God because he so urgently and diligently WANTED to give to God. It is. A heart issue. His heart WANTED to give to the Lord. I wonder how frequently we give of ourselves like David did, with all of our might to prepare for the Lord?

  39. 13“O our God, we thank you and praise your glorious name! 14 But who am I, and who are my people, that we could give anything to you? Everything we have has come from you, and we give you only what you first gave us!

Yes, all belongs to the Lord, what a true statement. Now God wants us to give back to him graciously, with humbleness and with a joyful heart!

  40. 10 Wherefore David blessed the Lord before all the congregation: and David said, Blessed be thou, Lord God of Israel our father, for ever and ever.

  41. Their are many ways that the people of God serve the Lord. Here we get to see them serve the Lord in offering. Offering is sacrificial giving of what God has entrusted us with to give back to him. It is all his anyways he just wants to know if we can handle the responsibility and trust him to care for our needs. If we find what we need is met by the power of mammon alone. It’s a matter of the heart to give cheerfully and willingly. When we silence the flesh that wants to grip the billfold God will do miraculous things through our sacrifice.
