Esther 7

1 So the king and Haman came to banquet with Esther the queen.

2 And the king said again unto Esther on the second day at the banquet of wine, What is thy petition, queen Esther? and it shall be granted thee: and what is thy request? and it shall be performed, even to the half of the kingdom.

3 Then Esther the queen answered and said, If I have found favour in thy sight, O king, and if it please the king, let my life be given me at my petition, and my people at my request:

4 For we are sold, I and my people, to be destroyed, to be slain, and to perish. But if we had been sold for bondmen and bondwomen, I had held my tongue, although the enemy could not countervail the king’s damage.

5 Then the king Ahasuerus answered and said unto Esther the queen, Who is he, and where is he, that durst presume in his heart to do so?

6 And Esther said, The adversary and enemy is this wicked Haman. Then Haman was afraid before the king and the queen.

7 And the king arising from the banquet of wine in his wrath went into the palace garden: and Haman stood up to make request for his life to Esther the queen; for he saw that there was evil determined against him by the king.

8 Then the king returned out of the palace garden into the place of the banquet of wine; and Haman was fallen upon the bed whereon Esther was. Then said the king, Will he force the queen also before me in the house? As the word went out of king’s mouth, they covered Haman’s face.

9 And Harbonah, one of the chamberlains, said before the king, Behold also, the gallows fifty cubits high, which Haman had made for Mordecai, who spoken good for the king, standeth in the house of Haman. Then the king said, Hang him thereon.

10 So they hanged Haman on the gallows that he had prepared for Mordecai. Then was the king’s wrath pacified.

  1. The King…

In this chapter it sounds like The Lord was so good to them. Sometimes I have to humble to Jesus and see what He has for me. I don’t have much but I do have love to my King Jesus.

Today I will love someone who is hurting and who needs a friend. Because there was someone for me when I was down.
    I love you Jesus….worship you.

  2. Finding favor with King

3 Then Esther the queen answered and said, If I have found favour in thy sight, O king, and if it please the king, let my life be given me at my petition, and my people at my request:

Esther came bodly before the throne with an ambition to save her people. She had prepared hersel in prayer and fasting. We too can come badly before the throne. Keeping close with our King we too can find the favor that Esther found. God I pray if I have found favor grant my request……..it has to be all about the kingdom, about the people being saved,I must be willing to let my life be given for His Purpose!

  3. 9 And Harbonah, one of the chamberlains, said before the king, Behold also, the gallows fifty cubits high, which Haman had made for Mordecai, who spoken good for the king, standeth in the house of Haman. Then the king said, Hang him thereon.

10 So they hanged Haman on the gallows that he had prepared for Mordecai. Then was the king’s wrath pacified.

God will turn the enemies devices used against us and turn it back to them selves. No matter how had things get, God will see us through to Victory

  4. It’s all in the preparation:

Haman prepared to save his pride by building gallows, but Esther prepared to save her people by prayer and fasting.

  5. Esther 7:2-3
    2) And the king said again unto Esther on the second day at the banquet of wine, What is thy petition, queen Esther? and it shall be granted thee: and what is thy request? and it shall be performed, even to the half of the kingdom.
    3) Then Esther the queen answered and said, If I have found favour in thy sight, O king, and if it please the king, let my life be given me at my petition, and my people at my request:

Phil. 4:6, “Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.”

Just as Esther came before the king with her petition and request, we too can come before the KING OF KINGS and make our petition and request known to HIM.

  6. As I read the story this song keeps coming to my mind, No matter what the weapon is, I want you to know that we win..

    Esther 7:3
Then Queen Esther answerd, “If I have found favor with you, O King, and if it please s your majesty, grant me my life this is my petition. And spare my people this my request.

I am amazed of the wisdom that Esther used to address the king with respect, honor and humbleness. How do we approach the king of kings and Lord of Lords?

  7. Ha ha this reminds me of an old saying…… ” becarefule of the ditch that you dig for someone else, it could be the very ditch that you fall in” Hamans device that he prepared to kill Mordecai with, was used on him. God will allow the enemy to prepare evil plots agaibst us but for every trick of the enemy, God has a plan prepared that will turn it around for our good and His Glory. Hallelujah

  8. What Haman wished for what he viewed as his enemy, Mordecai, was the end result he came to (death). One must be careful what they wish, for you just might get it all; but, not in the way you intended it.

God’s favor was upon Esther as she pleaded for herself and her people as we see in verse 3. Psalm 5:12 AMP says “For You, O Lord, bless the righteous man [the one who is in right standing with You]; You surround him with favor as with a shield.”

  9. TRUTH REVEALED

Consider the wisdom of Esther, the King has offered 3 times to do whatever she desired. However she knew that bringing accusation against someone so close to the King would require some special revelation and attention.

Esther was wise enough to withhold her request until all of the details had an opportunity to unfold.

    1. Esther went before the King, to request his time.
    2. Esther hosted a party inviting the King and the adversary
    3. Esther hosted a 2nd party inviting the King and the adversary

If Esther would have told the King what she wanted in the first visit at His court and at his throne, the King may have ruled differently. However Esther bid her time and Blessed the King and her adversary and was able to make her request at her own party.

The lesson today being TRUTH REVEALED has a Right Time. We are foolish to assume we know everything. I do not believe that Esther knew how the King would save the Jews, however she knew her best hope at TRUTH REVEALED was to be kind and not arrogant, be humble and not confrontational, to be discreet and not proud. Patiently waiting on the LORD and HIS timing in delicate matters is of utmost importance to the advancement of the Kingdom of GOD.

  10. iLove to Grow in the Word
9Then Harbona, one of the king’s eunuchs, said, “Haman has set up a sharpened pole that stands seventy-five feet tall in his own courtyard. He intended to use it to impale Mordecai, the man who saved the king from assassination.”
“Then impale Haman on it!” the king ordered. 10So they impaled Haman on the pole he had set up for Mordecai, and the king’s anger subsided.

We must be careful who we set up traps for. Here we have the second most powerful man in the kingdom setting up a trap for a “common Jew”. What Haman did not know however, is that Mordecai far outranked him in the Kingdom of God.

This is a great lesson for us today. We must be careful not to set up traps against God’s people. We must respect all people everywhere and treat folks as we would like to be treated. And by the way, if we set up traps at all…let it be for the wolves…they make great carpets.

  11. 10 So they hanged Haman on the gallows that he had prepared for Mordecai. Then was the king’s wrath pacified.

Haman’s hatred and sin turned against him when his true intentions came out, and the prayer and fasting Mordecai did was used in his favor and God once again saved them from their enemies. You will reap what you sow!

“Whoso diggeth a pit shall fall therein: and he that rolleth a stone, it will return upon him.”
    ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭26:27‬ ‭KJV‬‬

  12. And the king said again unto Esther on the second day at the banquet of wine, What is thy petition, queen Esther? and it shall be granted thee: and what is thy request? and it shall be performed, even to the half of the kingdom.

3 Then Esther the queen answered and said, If I have found favour in thy sight, O king, and if it please the king, let my life be given me at my petition, and my people at my request:

Plan and preparation made the plan that Esther put into place successful. If we will take the time to plan carefully, the plan that God has given us can be executed with excellence and be successful.

  13. 3 Then Esther the queen answered and said, If I have found favour in thy sight, O king, and if it please the king, let my life be given me at my petition, and my people at my request:

4 For we are sold, I and my people, to be destroyed, to be slain, and to perish. But if we had been sold for bondmen and bondwomen, I had held my tongue, although the enemy could not countervail the king’s damage.

You can see here that Esther really care about her people she was desperate to get them out of this mass in the beginning of the chapter Esther mmention If. I found favor in the king and please the king

    Prayed
    Fasting
    Worship
    Will get you answer

  14. 10 So they impaled Haman on the pole he had set up for Mordecai, and the king’s anger subsided. (NLT)

Well, well, well… How do you like them apples? We’re quick to judge and point a finger at those we have odds with, but when the tables turn, then what?

  15. Esther 7:3 Then Esther the queen answered and said if I have found favor in thy sight O king and if it please the king let my life be given me at my petition and my request. For We are sold I and my people to be destroyed to be slain and to perish.

Esther came before the king with a petition to save her people. We must come to God in prayer for lost soul that he would lead us to someone who is hurting and needs salvation in Jesus Name.

  16. 10 So they hanged Haman on the gallows that he had prepared for Mordecai. Then was the king’s wrath pacified.

    Look at God!
He’ll use the same thing that meant to destroy you to destroy your enemies.

  17. 9 And Harbonah, one of the chamberlains, said before the king, Behold also, the gallows fifty cubits high, which Haman had made for Mordecai, who spoken good for the king, standeth in the house of Haman. Then the king said, Hang him thereon.
10 So they hanged Haman on the gallows that he had prepared for Mordecai. Then was the king’s wrath pacified.

What comes to mind is that we will reap what we sow. Haman planned to hang Mordecai but instead his plan backfired and he was hanged on it instead.

  18. 9 And Harbonah, one of the chamberlains, said before the king, Behold also, the gallows fifty cubits high, which Haman had made for Mordecai, who spoken good for the king, standeth in the house of Haman. Then the king said, Hang him thereon.
10 So they hanged Haman on the gallows that he had prepared for Mordecai. Then was the king’s wrath pacified.

Be sure your sins will find you out. The wages of sin is death.

  19. 9Then Harbona, one of the king’s eunuchs, said, “Haman has set up a sharpened pole that stands seventy-five feet tall in his own courtyard. He intended to use it to impale Mordecai, the man who saved the king from assassination.”
“Then impale Haman on it!” the king ordered. 10 So they impaled Haman on the pole he had set up for Mordecai, and the king’s anger subsided.

we better be careful the evil that we wish for others. .. our desires motives and intentions must be pure towards our brothers and sisters or one day we may fall into the same trap we set for them.

  20. 3 Then Esther the queen answered and said, If I have found favour in thy sight, O king, and if it please the king, let my life be given me at my petition, and my people at my request:

4 For we are sold, I and my people, to be destroyed, to be slain, and to perish. But if we had been sold for bondmen and bondwomen, I had held my tongue, although the enemy could not countervail the king’s damage.

Easter made her request known before the king. God seen what her and her people were going thru and she pray for God to make a way and he did. Sometimes when were in need I to many times we cry and complain about what were going thru but we dont make our pettion know before God so he can changeour situations.

  21. 2 And the king said again unto Esther on the second day at the banquet of wine, What is thy petition, queen Esther? and it shall be granted thee: and what is thy request? and it shall be performed, even to the half of the kingdom.

3 Then Esther the queen answered and said, If I have found favour in thy sight, O king, and if it please the king, let my life be given me at my petition, and my people at my request:

  22. 3 Then Esther the queen answered and said, If I have found favour in thy sight, O king, and if it please the king, let my life be given me at my petition, and my people at my request:

We must stay close to our King (Jesus) and do what pleases Him. He will give us the desires of our hearts. First we have to trust in Him and do good which means obey His commands. Trust might sound easy but once the trials and problems come that is when He knows if we truly trust in Him. This is why its so important to always be rooted, pray, and fast to when the waves come they wont knock us down.

    Trust in the Lord and do good;
dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture.

    Take delight in the Lord,
and he will give you the desires of your heart.

    Commit your way to the Lord;
:    trust in him and he will do this: Psalm 37:3-5

  23. 2 And the king said again unto Esther on the second day at the banquet of wine, What is thy petition, queen Esther? and it shall be granted thee: and what is thy request? and it shall be performed, even to the half of the kingdom.

Queen Esther exercised the influence she had to tell the king about their enemy and save all her people. Our prayers and influence can make the Lord King of kings move and judge in our behalf.

  24. Tricky Traps

I am not an expert trapper but I have dabbles with trapping and feel confident with my abilities. However the learning curve, depending on the type of trap used, cam back fire and catch the trapper just as easy as the prey. Haman prepared a trap for Mordecai and all the Jews bur in the end the trapper was caught in his own web.

We too can fall into this same trap. There may be people who deserve judgement. They may have caused all kinds of ruckus and heartache. This does not give us the authority or privilege to pass judgement on others. We must be careful to not become to judgmental and place blame. Likely we each deserve judgement if not for the blood and love of Jesus.

  25. 9 And Harbonah, one of the chamberlains, said before the king, Behold also, the gallows fifty cubits high, which Haman had made for Mordecai, who spoken good for the king, standeth in the house of Haman. Then the king said, Hang him thereon.

The gallows Hamann intended for Mordecai is going to hang him in the end. What the enemy purposes for evil against us the Lord will turn for his glory. God used a woman named Esther and he can use any one of us for the same purpose.

  26. 4 For we are sold, I and my people, to be destroyed, to be slain, and to perish. But if we had been sold for bondmen and bondwomen, I had held my tongue, although the enemy could not countervail the king’s damage.

5 Then the king Ahasuerus answered and said unto Esther the queen, Who is he, and where is he, that durst presume in his heart to do so?

Her petition was heard by the King, when we bring up our petitions to our king, Jesus, he also hears our petitions that we make to him.

  27. Then Esther the queen answered and said, If I have found favour in thy sight, O king, and if it please the king, let my life be given me at my petition, and my people at my request:(Esther 7:3 KJV )

Esther the Queen of Persia made a request of her husband Ahasuerus for his favor. The way she approached him was humbly with a banquet to serve him. He willingly desired to grant her petition even to half the kingdom. When we come to Jesus in the same manner we know he will eagerly give us our desires.

  28. “Then the king returned out of the palace garden into the place of the banquet of wine; and Haman was fallen upon the bed whereon Esther was. Then said the king, Will he force the queen also before me in the house? As the word went out of the king’s mouth, they covered Haman’s face. And Harbona, one of the chamberlains, said before the king, Behold also, the gallows fifty cubits high, which Haman had made for Mordecai, who had spoken good for the king, standeth in the house of Haman. Then the king said, Hang him thereon. So they hanged Haman on the gallows that he had prepared for Mordecai. Then was the king’s wrath pacified.”
    ‭‭Esther‬ ‭7:8-10‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Ha on prepared his own death. God will use your own evil against you if he has too.

  29. 6 And Esther said, The adversary and enemy is this wicked Haman. Then Haman was afraid before the king and the queen.

Esther was not afraid to publicly reveal the adversary. Noticed once the adversary was uncovered he became afraid. It may be that the very thing your afraid of is truly afraid of you. Let us, not walk in fear of the adversary that is making plans to kill us and the ministry but call him out by name and watch the king of glory work it all out.

  30. 3 Then Esther the queen answered and said, If I have found favour in thy sight, O king, and if it please the king, let my life be given me at my petition, and my people at my request:

If we take the time to plan according to Gods will and Gods purpose things will work out! Sometimes it takes a simple step back to analyze am I allowing God to be in this situation.

  31. When you work against the people of God, it will not go unpunished. You have to decide who’s side you’re on. Only God’s side will come out victorious.

  32. Esther 7:10 (KJV Strong’s)
10 So they hanged Haman on the gallows that he had prepared for Mordecai. Then was the king’s wrath pacified.

God is a God of mercy and forgiveness but he resists the proud and gives grace to the humble. We ought not to play with God. We cannot hide anything from him, or get anything over on him. He sees the deepest darkest places of our hearts.

He does not turn away the repentant. But he will punish those who refuse to.

  33. “Then Harbonah, one of the eunuchs serving the king said, “Now look, there are gallows fifty cubits (75 ft.) high standing at Haman’s house, which Haman made for Mordecai, whose good warning saved the king.” And the king said, “Hang him on it.” So they hanged Haman on the gallows that he had prepared for Mordecai. Then the king’s anger subsided.”
    ‭‭ESTHER‬ ‭7:9-10‬ ‭AMP‬‬

The every trap that the enemy set up to harm you will be what defeats your enemy.

““No weapon that is formed against you will succeed; And every tongue that rises against you in judgment you will condemn. This [peace, righteousness, security, and triumph over opposition] is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, And this is their vindication from Me,” says the LORD.”
    ‭‭ISAIAH‬ ‭54:17‬ ‭AMP‬‬

  34. 5 Then the king Ahasuerus answered and said unto Esther the queen, Who is he, and where is he, that durst presume in his heart to do so?

6 And Esther said, The adversary and enemy is this wicked Haman. Then Haman was afraid before the king and the queen.

Be courageous to stand up for God and His people.

  35. Esther 7:7 The king got up in a rage, left his wine and went out into the palace garden. But Haman, realizing that the king had already decided his fate, stayed behind to beg Queen Esther for his life.

Our enemy will be behind ur begging for his life. When the church of the living God starts walking in the authority what it is ordained for her, we will truly start taking territory in this world.

The devil has already been defeated, the King of kings has impeld him and put him on display.

    We are victorious!

  36. “And the king said again unto Esther on the second day at the banquet of wine, What is thy petition, queen Esther? and it shall be granted thee: and what is thy request? and it shall be performed, even to the half of the kingdom.”
    ‭‭Esther‬ ‭7:2‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Even when Esther had the king where she could speak to him about everything she wanted she waited until he asked what she wanted before she began to create a list that is a mile long. Also she started out with a reasonable request, her life and the life of her people.

  37. 8 In despair he fell on the couch where Queen Esther was reclining, just as the king was returning from the palace garden.

Haman was in the dark, now the light was on him. His plan had backfired and lead to his death. Your sin will no matter what it is, will be discovered in time. God knows our sins at all times.

Psalms 7:14 The wicked conceive evil; they are pregnant with trouble
and give birth to lies. 15 They dig a deep pit to trap others, then fall into it themselves. 16 The trouble they make for others backfires on them.
The violence they plan falls on their own heads.
