Esther 8

1 On that day did the king Ahasuerus give the house of Haman the Jews’ enemy unto Esther the queen. And Mordecai came before the king; for Esther had told what he was unto her.

2 And the king took off his ring, which he had taken from Haman, and gave it unto Mordecai. And Esther set Mordecai over the house of Haman.

3 And Esther spake yet again before the king, and fell down at his feet, and besought him with tears to put away the mischief of Haman the Agagite, and his device that he had devised against the Jews.

4 Then the king held out the golden sceptre toward Esther. So Esther arose, and stood before the king,

5 And said, If it please the king, and if I have favour in his sight, and the thing seem right before the king, and I be pleasing in his eyes, let it be written to reverse the letters devised by Haman the son of Hammedatha the Agagite, which he wrote to destroy the Jews which are in all the king’s provinces:

6 For how can I endure to see the evil that shall come unto my people? or how can I endure to see the destruction of my kindred?

7 Then the king Ahasuerus said unto Esther the queen and to Mordecai the Jew, Behold, I have given Esther the house of Haman, and him they have hanged upon the gallows, because he laid his hand upon the Jews.

8 Write ye also for the Jews, as it liketh you, in the king’s name, and seal it with the king’s ring: for the writing which is written in the king’s name, and sealed with the king’s ring, may no man reverse.

9 Then were the king’s scribes called at that time in the third month, that is, the month Sivan, on the three and twentieth day thereof; and it was written according to all that Mordecai commanded unto the Jews, and to the lieutenants, and the deputies and rulers of the provinces which are from India unto Ethiopia, an hundred twenty and seven provinces, unto every province according to the writing thereof, and unto every people after their language, and to the Jews according to their writing, and according to their language.

10 And he wrote in the king Ahasuerus’ name, and sealed it with the king’s ring, and sent letters by posts on horseback, and riders on mules, camels, and young dromedaries:

11 Wherein the king granted the Jews which were in every city to gather themselves together, and to stand for their life, to destroy, to slay and to cause to perish, all the power of the people and province that would assault them, both little ones and women, and to take the spoil of them for a prey,

12 Upon one day in all the provinces of king Ahasuerus, namely, upon the thirteenth day of the twelfth month, which is the month Adar.

13 The copy of the writing for a commandment to be given in every province was published unto all people, and that the Jews should be ready against that day to avenge themselves on their enemies.

14 So the posts that rode upon mules and camels went out, being hastened and pressed on by the king’s commandment. And the decree was given at Shushan the palace.

15 And Mordecai went out from the presence of the king in royal apparel of blue and white, and with a great crown of gold, and with a garment of fine linen and purple: and the city of Shushan rejoiced and was glad.

16 The Jews had light, and gladness, and joy, and honour.

17 And in every province, and in every city, whithersoever the king’s commandment and his decree came, the Jews had joy and gladness, a feast and a good day. And many of the people of the land became Jews; for the fear of the Jews fell upon them.

  1. The Lord.

I love Jesus and.His people. The Jews were.a blessed people and so.are we. Thankyou Lord for every big and little thing You do for me.

  2. Then Esther went again before the king, falling down at his feet and begging him with tears to stop the evil plot devised by Haman the Agagite against the Jews. Again the king held out the gold scepter to Esther. So she rose and stood before him. Esther said, “If it please the king, and if I have found favor with him, and if he thinks it is right, and if I am pleasing to him, let there be a decree that reverses the orders of Haman son of Hammedatha the Agagite, who ordered that Jews throughout all the king’s provinces should be destroyed. For how can I endure to see my people and my family slaughtered and destroyed?” (‭Esther‬ ‭8‬:‭3-6‬ NLT)

Praise GOD!!! Finding FAVOR with GOD, HIS name shall be glorified, exalted above the nations. His people shall be saved!!!!

But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive. (‭Genesis‬ ‭50‬:‭20‬ KJV)
    ‘It’s my(OUR) time for God’s favor, it’s my(OUR) time to be BLESSED!!!!!

  3. In the beginning of this chapter, Mordecai is promoted. 1 Peter 5:6 AMP says “Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God [set aside self-righteous pride], so that He may exalt you [to a place of honor in His service] at the appropriate time,”. By the end of the chapter, verses 15-16 AMP say “Then Mordecai departed from the presence of the king in royal apparel of blue and white, with a large crown of gold and with a robe of fine linen and purple wool; and the city of Susa shouted and rejoiced. For [at this time] the Jews had light [a dawn of new hope] and gladness and joy and honor. Joy comes in the morning as we trust in God, for everything will come to pass at His appointed time and manner.

  4. 5 Esther said, “If it please the king, and if I have found favor with him, and if he thinks it is right, and if I am pleasing to him, let there be a decree that reverses the orders of Haman son of Hammedatha the Agagite, who ordered that Jews throughout all the king’s provinces should be destroyed. (NLT)

Esther humbled herself and knows that if the king is to hear her and see through the request she has, that she must uphold her “end of the deal.” She has sought to please him and obey him. If we come before the Kings of kings in such a manner, He too is likely to bless those who have blessed Him.

  5. Esther 8:3, “And Esther spake yet again before the king, and fell down at his feet, and besought him with tears to put away the mischief of Haman the Agagite, and his devise that he had devised against the Jews.”

Although Esther and Mordecai are now safe, the other Jews are not. Esther makes intercession for them.
Even though we are saved, others are not. We must intercede for them.

  6. REVIVAL ATTITUDE

16 The Jews had light, and gladness, and joy, and honour.

The Jews found hope in the actions and results of their leaders. Esther and Mordecai were instrumental in the salvation of the Jews from the wicked plot of Hamaan.

As Borm Again believers we should possess the attitude of VICTORY in the Church. JESUS gave HIS life so we may have LIFE. This is an eternal promise with no expiration date. We must be prayerful to not allow anyone or anything to distract, hinder or detour us from accomplishing the will of GOD and HIS calling on our lives.

We are wise to examine ourselves to see that we have LIGHT, GLADNESS, JOY and HONOR so that the living epistle will read.

“16 The POFW had light, and gladness, and joy, and honour.”

Approaching your need/situation biblical will bring about great results. Esther planned carefully and prayerfully and God gave her the answer she needed to save her people.

If we will but seek HIS face, God will provide the answer.

  8. 1 On that day did the king Ahasuerus give the house of Haman the Jews’ enemy unto Esther the queen. And Mordecai came before the king; for Esther had told what he was unto her.
2 And the king took off his ring, which he had taken from Haman, and gave it unto Mordecai. And Esther set Mordecai over the house of Haman.

Everything that the enemy stole. God will give it back and whatever your enemy had.

  9. Then King Xerxes said to Queen Esther and Mordecai the Jew, “I have given Esther the property of Haman, and he has been impaled on a pole because he tried to destroy the Jews.
    Esther 8:7 NLT
    The lord loves his people
When it all comes down to the end god people will stand
You can’t destroy or stop with lord on our side we can over come anything

  10. One Orphan,One Widow an Uncle, and One King

What a witness of what God can do. No matter what walk in life we find ourself in God can use us. And many people of the land became Jews…..
The Jews had joy and it spread throughout the land, the people witnessed the humbleness of Mordacaii and his niece and how their God delivered a whole nation. Our God has a plan and even in the midst of impatience, and sometimes double big we continue to believe and reaffirm that we trust in God He will deliver and reward greatly.

  11. 1 On that day did the king Ahasuerus give the house of Haman the Jews’ enemy unto Esther the queen. And Mordecai came before the king; for Esther had told what he was unto her.

2 And the king took off his ring, which he had taken from Haman, and gave it unto Mordecai. And Esther set Mordecai over the house of Haman.

Everything falls into place with God’s timing. Before Jesus can use you, he has to crush you to anoint you.

  12. In the name of the King

8 Write ye also for the Jews, as it liketh you, in the king’s name, and seal it with the king’s ring: for the writing which is written in the king’s name, and sealed with the king’s ring, may no man reverse.

The power of the kings name was known through out and feared among the people. If a king of this world has that much power, how much power does the name of Jesus have? The name is everything! The power of the name of Jesus!

  13. iLove to Grow in the Word
In every province and city, wherever the king’s decree arrived, the Jews rejoiced and had a great celebration and declared a public festival and holiday. And many of the people of the land became Jews themselves, for they feared what the Jews might do to them.

When Haman was removed, the door was then opened for the true word of deliverance to be released to the Jews. Not only were they able to keep what they had, but they had great revival. “And many of the people of the land became Jews themselves, for they feared what the Jews might do to them.”

  14. Esther 8:3 And Esther spake yet again before the king and fell down at his feet and besought him with tears to put away the mischief of Haman the Agagite and his device that he had devised against the Jews. Then the king held out his golden sceptre towards Esther. So Esther arose and stood before the king. And said if it please the king and if I have found favor in his sight and the thing seem right before the king and I be pleasing in his etes let it be written to reverse the letters devised by Haman the son of Hammedatha the Agagite which he wrote to destroy the Jews which are in all the king’s provinces.

God will always take care of his people

  15. This demonstrate that ee are our brothers keepers. Esther was not content with her and her uncle being in a safe place, she stood up and decided that she was her brothers keeper. Dont be content that you are saved or your biological family. Keep praying for your other brothers and sisters

  16. 1 On that day did the king Ahasuerus give the house of Haman the Jews’ enemy unto Esther the queen. And Mordecai came before the king; for Esther had told what he was unto her.
2 And the king took off his ring, which he had taken from Haman, and gave it unto Mordecai. And Esther set Mordecai over the house of Haman.

God gives us back what has been taken from us! God is faithful just and True..I want it all Back.

  17. 2 And the king took off his ring, which he had taken from Haman, and gave it unto Mordecai. And Esther set Mordecai over the house of Haman.

The Lord gives and the Lord takes away. He can build up a kingdom and tear the same one down. God blesses those who make themselves available, in position for the miraculous. He tears down those who dishonor him and the responsibility that comes with that blessing.

  18. 3 And Esther spake yet again before the king, and fell down at his feet, and besought him with tears to put away the mischief of Haman the Agagite, and his device that he had devised against the Jews.

4 Then the king held out the golden sceptre toward Esther. So Esther arose, and stood before the king,

Many try to take matters on their on hands and attempt to solve a situation. When they should instead go to the King approach him in prayer and get his royal covering give him victory.

  19. Esther 8:4 (KJV Strong’s)
4 Then the king held out the golden sceptre toward Esther. So Esther arose, and stood before the king,

Almost three years ago Evangelist Greg Randol spoke to this church that the scepter of the king was extended and that God would grant us our petition. That night I asked God for a financial change in my life.

2-3 months later I started working as a subcontractor making more than my previous job. It pays to be in the presence of the King, to approach properly, and to ask specifically.

God answered my prayer and I know that anyone who approaches the same way, once he stretches forth his scepter that God will grant their request.

Hallelujah for favor with the King.

  20. 16 The Jews had light, and gladness, and joy, and honour.
When the will of God is done and God blesses His people gladness and joy always follow! Let us rejoice in the Lord!

  21. “The king’s decree gave the Jews in every city authority to unite to defend their lives. They were allowed to kill, slaughter, and annihilate anyone of any nationality or province who might attack them or their children and wives, and to take the property of their enemies.”
    ‭‭Esther‬ ‭8:11‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Authority to unite to defend…. these words have stayed on my mind. My prayer is that we unite together and defend what’s ours.

  22. Esther again pleaded with the king, falling at his feet and weeping. She begged him to put an end to the evil plan of Haman the Agagite, which he had devised against the Jews.
    Esther 8:3 NIV
    http://bible.com/111/est.8.3.NIV

Sometimes we got to know how to ask God for things that we need. If we don’t ask we will not receive.

  23. Esther 8:8 Now write another decree in the king’s name in behalf of the Jews as seems best to you, and seal it with the king’s signet ring—for no document written in the king’s name and sealed with his ring can be revoked.”

Ones word should be like this king!

    Matthew 5:37

37 But let your ‘Yes’ be ‘Yes,’ and your ‘No,’ ‘No.’ For whatever is more than these is from the evil one.

We should all be bound by our words, and with that in mind we need be sure that we think before we speak. Let not any words that will not edify come out of our mouths.

  24. “And the king took off his ring, which he had taken from Haman, and gave it unto Mordecai. And Esther set Mordecai over the house of Haman.”
    ‭‭Esther‬ ‭8:2‬ ‭KJV‬‬

This ring was a big deal. It meant power, authority, and money. It was stripped off one man and placed on another to show the favor or the king. It’s amazing how God does this same kind of thing with people in his kingdom.

  25. For how can I endure to see the evil that shall come unto my people? or how can I endure to see the destruction of my kindred?(Esther 8:6 KJV)

Esther pleads with the king to reverse the letters sealed by Hamann. She cannot bear to sit back and watch her people perish at the hands of a wicked man. She has found favor and peace in the hands of her husband the king, someone God placed in her life for a time such as this.

  26. 13 The copy of the writing for a commandment to be given in every province was published unto all people, and that the Jews should be ready against that day to avenge themselves on their enemies.

  27. 7. Then the king Ahasuerus said unto Esther the queen and to Mordecai the Jew, Behold, I have given Esther the house of Haman, and him they have hanged upon the gallows, because he laid his hand upon the Jews.

There may only be one person hindering the will of God…don’t be that one; God can easily remove you and give your place in the kingdom to another.

  28. The Jews had light, and gladness, and joy, and honour.

17 And in every province, and in every city, whithersoever the king’s commandment and his decree came, the Jews had joy and gladness, a feast and a good day. And many of the people of the land became Jews; for the fear of the Jews fell upon them.

  29. 17 And in every province, and in every city, whithersoever the king’s commandment and his decree came, the Jews had joy and gladness, a feast and a good day. And many of the people of the land became Jews; for the fear of the Jews fell upon them.

The Jews had favor now with God and man. They even had revival due to persecution! “So shall they fear the name of the Lord from west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him.” Isaiah 59:19
What the enemy meant for harm, God turned it and made it for good for his people and will do the same for us today. Praise him in what ever situation you are in and see him work it out.

God set a plan into motion from the moment He created man. It is His desire to use man to Glorify Him upon the earth. Yet, the moment a man stops fulfilling His plan He seeks for a faithful servant to move into position.

We should count it an honor to be used by God and stay faithful to Him and not ourselves.

  31. “Not only that, but many non-Jews became Jews—now it was dangerous not to be a Jew!”
    ‭‭Esther‬ ‭8:17‬ ‭MSG‬‬

There is more violence than ever before. Innocent people and law enforcement are being targeted for maximum impact to the American way of life. There has never been a more urgent time to be covered by the protection of God than these days. We, as the elect and chosen people of God need to reach this lost and blind world. Above all else we must save ourselves. Next we must warn and reach for this lost world.

  32. 2 The king took off his signet ring—which he had taken back from Haman—and gave it to Mordecai. And Esther appointed Mordecai to be in charge of Haman’s property.

If we continue to rely on God’s goodness, he will eventually bless us for it. This is very similar to Joseph’s trial, Mordecai and the Jews were going to be persecuted for no reason at all. But their continued prayer to God, helped them come through it.
