Job 15

1 Then answered Eliphaz the Temanite, and said,

2 Should a wise man utter vain knowledge, and fill his belly with the east wind?

3 Should he reason with unprofitable talk? or with speeches wherewith he can do no good?

4 Yea, thou castest off fear, and restrainest prayer before God.

5 For thy mouth uttereth thine iniquity, and thou choosest the tongue of the crafty.

6 Thine own mouth condemneth thee, and not I: yea, thine own lips testify against thee.

7 Art thou the first man that was born? or wast thou made before the hills?

8 Hast thou heard the secret of God? and dost thou restrain wisdom to thyself?

9 What knowest thou, that we know not? what understandest thou, which is not in us?

10 With us are both the grayheaded and very aged men, much elder than thy father.

11 Are the consolations of God small with thee? is there any secret thing with thee?

12 Why doth thine heart carry thee away? and what do thy eyes wink at,

13 That thou turnest thy spirit against God, and lettest such words go out of thy mouth?

14 What is man, that he should be clean? and he which is born of a woman, that he should be righteous?

15 Behold, he putteth no trust in his saints; yea, the heavens are not clean in his sight.

16 How much more abominable and filthy is man, which drinketh iniquity like water?

17 I will shew thee, hear me; and that which I have seen I will declare;

18 Which wise men have told from their fathers, and have not hid it:

19 Unto whom alone the earth was given, and no stranger passed among them.

20 The wicked man travaileth with pain all his days, and the number of years is hidden to the oppressor.

21 A dreadful sound is in his ears: in prosperity the destroyer shall come upon him.

22 He believeth not that he shall return out of darkness, and he is waited for of the sword.

23 He wandereth abroad for bread, saying, Where is it? he knoweth that the day of darkness is ready at his hand.

24 Trouble and anguish shall make him afraid; they shall prevail against him, as a king ready to the battle.

25 For he stretcheth out his hand against God, and strengtheneth himself against the Almighty.

26 He runneth upon him, even on his neck, upon the thick bosses of his bucklers:

27 Because he covereth his face with his fatness, and maketh collops of fat on his flanks.

28 And he dwelleth in desolate cities, and in houses which no man inhabiteth, which are ready to become heaps.

29 He shall not be rich, neither shall his substance continue, neither shall he prolong the perfection thereof upon the earth.

30 He shall not depart out of darkness; the flame shall dry up his branches, and by the breath of his mouth shall he go away.

31 Let not him that is deceived trust in vanity: for vanity shall be his recompence.

32 It shall be accomplished before his time, and his branch shall not be green.

33 He shall shake off his unripe grape as the vine, and shall cast off his flower as the olive.

34 For the congregation of hypocrites shall be desolate, and fire shall consume the tabernacles of bribery.

35 They conceive mischief, and bring forth vanity, and their belly prepareth deceit.

  1. Verse 20 MSG “Those who live by their own rules, not God’s, can expect nothing but trouble, and the longer they live, the worse it gets.” 1 John 5:1-3 MSG says “Every person who believes that Jesus is, in fact, the Messiah, is God-begotten. If we love the One who conceives the child, we’ll surely love the child who was conceived. The reality test on whether or not we love God’s children is this: Do we love God? Do we keep his commands? The proof that we love God comes when we keep his commandments and they are not at all troublesome.” Same verse 3 AMP says “For the [true] love of God is this: that we habitually keep His commandments and remain focused on His precepts. And His commandments and His precepts are not difficult [to obey].”

Verse 31 MSG “There’s a lesson here: Whoever invests in lies, gets lies for interest, Paid in full before the due date. Some investment! 1 John 4:1-6 CEV says “Dear friends, don’t believe everyone who claims to have the Spirit of God. Test them all to find out if they really do come from God. Many false prophets have already gone out into the world, and you can know which ones come from God. His Spirit says that Jesus Christ had a truly human body. But when someone doesn’t say this about Jesus, you know that person has a spirit that doesn’t come from God and is the enemy of Christ. You knew that this enemy was coming into the world and now is already here. Children, you belong to God, and you have defeated these enemies. God’s Spirit[a] is in you and is more powerful than the one that is in the world. These enemies belong to this world, and the world listens to them, because they speak its language. We belong to God, and everyone who knows God will listen to us. But the people who don’t know God won’t listen to us. That is how we can tell the Spirit that speaks the truth from the one that tells lies.”

    • Amen those who live by god comment you will succeed thoes who lives by there own rules and not follow god will fall we are nothing without him

  2. 7. “Were you the first person ever born? Were you born before the hills were made?

    8. Were you listening at God’s secret council? Do you have a monopoly on wisdom? NLT

Although he is falsely accusing Job of these things, the lesson is still there. Sometimes we tend to forget our place and start thinking we know more than everyone else, including God.

  3. 13 That thou turnest thy spirit against God, and lettest such words go out of thy mouth?

14 What is man, that he should be clean? and he which is born of a woman, that he should be righteous?

15 Behold, he putteth no trust in his saints; yea, the heavens are not clean in his sight.

No matter how righteous we think we can be or how great we think we are doing for God we are still but filthy rags and thus should stay humble that it is by his grace we are even allowed to live for Him.

  4. iLove to Go Blog
    26 Holding their strong shields,
    they defiantly charge against him.
    27“These wicked people are heavy and prosperous;
    their waists bulge with fat.

This blog will be short but sweet as I say at The Pentecostals of Fort Worth we refuse to bulge with fat! 🙂 yep, in your face fat, we bind you in the name of this fast in Jesus name and we refuse to defiantly rebel against the Lord. Down with rebellion and down with the fat! Boom

  5. 14 What is man, that he should be clean? and he which is born of a woman, that he should be righteous?

15 Behold, he putteth no trust in his saints; yea, the heavens are not clean in his sight.

16 How much more abominable and filthy is man, which drinketh iniquity like water?

    Thank God for the blood!
Only the blood of Christ can make us clean. We live in a world of filth and abomination. Never lose the importance of the blood! I need to be washed in the blood!

  6. THE KEY TO HUMILITY

14 What is man, that he should be clean? and he which is born of a woman, that he should be righteous?
15 Behold, he putteth no trust in his saints; yea, the heavens are not clean in his sight.

Understanding and accepting who we are is THE KEY TO HUMILITY. Pride reveals itself when self will controls our thoughts, desires and intents.

We are all born sinners and unclean in the sight of GOD. Therefore we must be washed, washed by the soul cleansing blood of JESUS. GOD gave us redemption through JESUS because he knows our human nature is selfish and proud.

Eliphaz, the friend of Job speaks TRUTH to him. GOD created the angels for his own Glory and 1/3 of them fell to pride with NO FLESH. It is impossible for angels to be carnal. They were only rebellious and fell. As man the most prized creation of GOD, we not only battle pride, but also carnality.

THE KEY TO HUMILITY is understanding the GRACE of GOD through JESUS to allow us to live, move and have our being in HIM and that we are frial and must become dependent on our LORD JESUS in all things.

  7. What are friends for?

19 – 24 MSG Those who live by their own rules, not God’s, can expect nothing but trouble, and the longer they live, the worse it gets. Every little sound terrifies them. Just when they think they have it made, disaster strikes. They despair of things ever getting better— they’re on the list of people for whom things always turn out for the worst. They wander here and there, never knowing where the next meal is coming from— every day is doomsday! They live in constant terror, always with their backs up against the wall

First, I am not calling a Job a know it all; Eliphaz is. Eliphaz is supposed to be Job’s friend. Why would a friend call you out like this? Friends are supposed to be on “our” side of things – right?

To a point; yes, our closest friends should know us enough to share our views on things. Or, at least know our tendencies to understand why we say the things we do. However, there are those friends, who can break the social norm and claim the proverbial duck as a duck. When we find ourselves in the midst of a battle we tend to get tunnel vision and can only see the battle we are engaged in. It is a special friend who can call us out and tell us when enough is enough.

Prov. 27:6 Wounds from a friend can be trusted, but an enemy multiplies kisses. Telling our friends something they really don’t want to hear, like warning them about a relationship, or telling them they are acting like a child, takes courage. If we want to be a faithful friend by speaking our concerns out loud, how we deliver the message may be the difference between breaking and strengthening the friendship. It is better to have one pointed conversation about your concerns, rather than constantly making remarks. Try telling our friend, “I’m only going to bring this up once. It won’t come up again unless you ask.” After we have voiced our concerns, let’s do our best to encourage our friend even if they choose not to take our advice.

A cardinal rule for marriage also applies to friendship. No one likes to hear “I told you so.”

  8. The wicked man.

In my walk with God. I have seen numerous people be just that. I have thought back in my life and wonder how many people have slowed my progress? This is why we must make sure in our own lives that we are around the right people. There’s a saying that says on the lines,” if you find someone successful, look at those that they are around.” And it is so true. If you want to do something. Be around others that inspire you and will help you become that. You can GO and GrOw with God in his church. You don’t have to be around the wicked man who wants to see you fail and become like him. Be strong and of good courage, and know that He is God.

  9. 22 He believeth not that he shall return out of darkness, and he is waited for of the sword.

It’s important that we watch ourselves and live right before Jesus! When we do something that doesn’t please Him, we end up being against Him.

  10. what knowest thou that we know not? what understandest thou which is not in us, the wold arise every morning day by day with accusations, but in God my Lord Jesus Christ i am standing strong amen thank you Lord for to days word

  11. Job 15:34 NLT
    For the godless are barren.
Their homes, enriched through bribery, will burn

Jesus, I need you now and everyday. Let all my ways bear the fruit of Your presence in my life and my submission to You. Help me to keep myself decreased so that You are always increased in my life. In Jesus name.

  12. 5 Your sins are telling your mouth what to say. Your words are based on clever deception.
6 Your own mouth condemns you, not I. Your own lips testify against you. (NLT)

Who or what are you allowing to control your tongue? What are you speaking into your own life? Be cautious of the words you speak, they are heavy with power.

    Proverbs 18:21 (AMP)
Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it and indulge it will eat its fruit and bear the consequences of their words.

  13.  Your sins are telling your mouth what to say. Your words are based on clever deception.
6 Your own mouth condemns you, not I. Your own lips testify against you
We must be careful what we say and do . We must watch our tongue and our hearts because out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.

  14. “For your guilt teaches your mouth, And you choose [to speak] the language of the crafty and cunning. “Your own mouth condemns you, and not I; Yes, your own lips testify against you.

“Why does your heart carry you away [allowing you to be controlled by emotion]? And why do your eyes flash [in anger or contempt], That you should turn your spirit against God And let such words [as you have spoken] go out of your mouth? (‭JOB‬ ‭15‬:‭5-6, 12-13‬ AMP)

Your own sin is what separates you from a Living and Merciful GOD!!! You can blame your sins on the preacher, your parents, etc. but eventually you need to take full responsibility of the choices you’ve made through out your life. Last night when I heard these few words ‘History repeats itself’ I thought to myself O’ LORD, true!!! And to think that if we as sinners don’t turn away from our ‘wicked ways,’ ‘repent’ then our children or generations to come will reap what we have sown!! God forgive me, I’m in need of your blood for my life today.

Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness? (‭Romans‬ ‭6‬:‭16‬ KJV)

  15. Job 15:11New International Version (NIV)

11 Are God’s consolations not enough for you,
    words spoken gently to you?

Jobs friends were reminding him of the greatness of God.
I am thankful for leadership and a dear friend of mine who has reminded me at times of the greatness of God.

Life will take its course and if we are not careful we can feel as if God has forsaken us but when we begin to look at the stars and keep recognizing His voice; He is there. He is ever so gentle in the moments of life tragedy
we can rest assure as we look at all the grandness of God that He Is Enough! But we must allow Him to be Enough!

  16. 5 For thy mouth uttereth thine iniquity, and thou choosest the tongue of the crafty.

6 Thine own mouth condemneth thee, and not I: yea, thine own lips testify against thee.

13 That thou turnest thy spirit against God, and lettest such words go out of thy mouth?
Ive been told to choose my words wisely, these verses show how dangerous the tongue can really be. You cant take back something thats already said. When we get the holy ghost and speak in tongues isnt that the spirit taking control of the dangerous tongue. Acts 2:4
“And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.”

  17. We aren’t better than anyone else.

14 What is man, that he should be clean? and he which is born of a woman, that he should be righteous?

15 Behold, he putteth no trust in his saints; yea, the heavens are not clean in his sight.

We are conceived by sin and born into iniquity, so what makes you think we are better than others? That we are covered by His grace? Or the fact that His blood has washed us? That does not gives us the right to continue in sin, but we must remain humble knowing where He brought us out of and courage to go and pull those that were left behind into salvation. Romans 6: 1 6 What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? 2 By no means! We are those who have died to sin; how can we live in it any longer? 3 Or don’t you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? 4 We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.

5 For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we will certainly also be united with him in a resurrection like his. 6 For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body ruled by sin might be done away with,[a] that we should no longer be slaves to sin—7 For he that is dead is freed from sin.

Let’s never forget where He brought us out of and have a heart for those that still remain there, don’t ever think you are better than them for we are ALL SINNERS!

  18. Proverbs 17:17 A friend loveth at all times, and a brother is born for adversity.

A true test of friendship is when you can tell someone they are planting negative seeds in your life and you don’t want to hear that, and they still be your friend, put change their outlook around you.

Jobs’ “friend” was doing his best to convince Job to turn against the Lord, yet somewhere in the heart of Job there still lived integrity and he reached down into that integrity and did what was right in the sight of the Lord in the end, and was blessed for it.

Let your integrity guide you. Stand for what is right, even if you’re the only one standing. God will bless you and that’s all that matters.

  19. 27 Because he covereth his face with his fatness, and maketh collops of fat on his flanks.

I know many, even myself from time to time, who do this, they take their small portion of anointing, and feed their flesh with it, and with more flesh, until they get to the point that they either humble themselves and repent, or they until they go rogue, and leave that church, or they just leave church…

Thank you Jesus I have been blessed to be fortunate enough to have repented and submited before I left…

  20. Job 15:12
    12) What has taken away your reason?
    What has weakened your vision?

What has taken away your reason? Reason of what? A reason of hope that is within you. 1 Peter 3:15, “But sanctify the LORD God in your hearts, and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that us in you with meekness and fear.

What has weakened your vision? Vision of what? Vision of lost souls. Proverbs 29:18, “Where there is no vision, the people perish:…”

Don’t let anything or anyone take away your HOPE in God. Because if you loose HOPE in God, you will loose your VISION of lost souls.

  21. Job 15: 3 Should a wise man utter vain knowledge and fill his belly with the east wind? Should he reason with unprofitable talk? Or with speeches were with he can do no good? Yea thou castest off fear and restraint prayer before God.

Eliphaz was wrong in his judgment of Job though Eliphaz could not see Job’s secret prayer life he was a man of piety and prayer.

  22. Dont take the situations and think you can fix it. Humble yourself and give them to God. God does not need our help. We need Him

  23. 13 That thou turnest thy spirit against God, and lettest such words go out of thy mouth?
14 What is man, that he should be clean? and he which is born of a woman, that he should be righteous?

Truly we must realize that we are capable of carnality and sin…it is even at the door-as God told Cain. We must be humble and repentant daily before God: Ps 51:17
The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.
Job’s friend mistakenly thinks because of their greater age and accompanying wisdom, that they are right and he is wrong. Age equals more experiences and can produce wisdom, yet there are many younger and wiser people than us! Pride can deceive us and staying humble before God and men is wisdom.

  24. 9 What knowest thou, that we know not? what understandest thou, which is not in us?

10 With us are both the grayheaded and very aged men, much elder than thy father.

Something that I learned in life is that it’s not about who you know or what you know but who knows you. Even Devils know who God is and is subject to him. I can know the Bible inside and out, but it does no good unless I am known of God. Job is known of God and the trial he is enduring has been authorized by him. Although his friends think they are knowledgeable enough to help with wisdom passed on by aged men they can’t. Only by God’s will can Job be restored.

  25. 4 Yea, thou castest off fear, and restrainest prayer before God.

Prayer is our life source. You can’t expect to have a good relationship with anyone if there is no communication. The church was built on prayer and prayer is what helps the church to grow. Prayer is the fuel that keeps us going. A life without prayer is a life in trouble.

  26. 15-4
Yea that castest off fear and restrainest prayer before God
That is the fear of God. Elipaz makes a serious accusation that Job is actually undermining devotion to God by others

  27. 34 For the congregation of hypocrites shall be desolate, and fire shall consume the tabernacles of bribery.

35 They conceive mischief, and bring forth vanity, and their belly prepareth deceit.

We cannot be deceived by men who have called themselves to preach. Many men and women in television claim to know God and His principles but they are only using dimwitted people to line their pockets. When we seek God in prayer He will answer. We must not rely on others to save us or help us to prepare if we aren’t willing to make the sacrifice. I can only help myself win as Job wins his life back with God.

  28. Have you no fear of God,
    no reverence for him? NLT
I was raised that you reverence the house of God especially the platform, that is holy ground. It bothers me to see children running around in the sanctuary playing. The church is not a playground. Parents teach your children that the house of God is place we worship and bring love to the hurting.
You must keep my Sabbath days of rest and show reverence for my sanctuary. I am the LORD. NIV Lev. 26:2

  29. Job 15:20 (MSG)
20 Those who live by their own rules, not God’s, can expect
    nothing but trouble,
and the longer they live, the worse it gets.

My little girl is learning how to mind. It seems that she believes her way is the best way all the time. This is consistently proven wrong time and again.

I think God looks at us the same way. We run head long into things believing we are doing the right thing while the whole time his word is crying out for us to hear.

There is really only two choices in life: God’s way, and that which is not God’s way. We decide.

Truly things go much easier when we follow the way of the Lord.

  30. 2 Should a wise man utter vain knowledge, and fill his belly with the east wind?

3 Should he reason with unprofitable talk? or with speeches wherewith he can do no good?

Wisdom and knowledge of the things of this world are only temporary. But knowledge of the word of God and a relationship with Jesus will last into eternity.

  31. 15 Behold, he putteth no trust in his saints; yea, the heavens are not clean in his sight.

16 How much more abominable and filthy is man, which drinketh iniquity like water?

If even the heavens and the angels are not pure in the sight of God how much less are we with our flesh and our allowing iniquity to pour into us? The difference with us is that God came and set us free that we might find a way out of that iniquity and be made pure! It is in Him alone we find that grace!

  32. 14 What is man, that he should be clean? and he which is born of a woman, that he should be righteous?

15 Behold, he putteth no trust in his saints; yea, the heavens are not clean in his sight.

  33. Let him not deceive himself by trusting what is worthless, for he will get nothing in return. Before his time he will wither, and his branches will not flourish.
    Job 15:31‭-‬32 NIV

Be careful what company we keep, who we trust and who we listen too. The wrong company will always lead us to the wrong path and put us in a deep hole. We must always trust in God and seek those that are in connection with the spirit.

  34. 20 The wicked man travaileth with pain all his days, and the number of years is hidden to the oppressor.

I dont know if there is truth to this but I was told along time ago that you can be “sin sick”…a lot of times situations we find ourselves in can cause pain, pain is not just a headache, pain to me is letting people down and watching them be disappointed in me to the point they can not even speak to me, its the hurt of your heart after you been let down, all these things we can take to God right? But if your backslid and your in pain you yearn to cry out to God but there is something telling you your not good enough, he wont forgive. God is a loving God, the only reason wicked people are in pain all their days and they cry out because of it, they wont ask God to help!

  35. 5 For thy mouth uttereth thine iniquity, and thou choosest the tongue of the crafty.

6 Thine own mouth condemneth thee, and not I: yea, thine own lips testify against thee.

Wow, to read this chapter: it reminded me of how my tongue was before God. I would praise, then curse. Wow how did I manage to make it this far with knowing of god, but not knowing God. Ever since coming to POFW; I have really learned that my tongue was more than a two edged sword. For the tongue to be so small; it can sure cause some serious damage. Lord let not my tongue be used to do the work of the enemy: use my tongue to do your work Lord….Thank you Jesus. …..Amen!!!

  36. If this guy was right about Job there would be a lot of good in this passage but it is all false accusation.

21 A dreadful sound is in his ears: in prosperity the destroyer shall come upon him.

How many times have we seen someone be blessed and then fall away? You come to God with nothing and in obedience to his word He blesses you. Time goes on and you start to think that you earned the blessings and maybe you did it instead of Him. This is the destroyer whispering in your ear. If you keep listening to this it will destroy you.

  37. 31 Let not him that is deceived trust in vanity: for vanity shall be his Job 4:8

31 Let them no longer fool themselves by trusting in empty riches, for emptiness will be their only reward.” NIV

The greatest deception is for us to put our trust in anything or anyone other than God. When we put our trust in God we are storing up riches that far exceed this earth and go into eternity.

    Job 4:8
“According to what I have seen, those who plow iniquity And those who sow trouble harvest it.

    Job 31:5
“If I have walked with falsehood, And my foot has hastened after deceit,

    Job 35:13
“Surely God will not listen to an empty cry, Nor will the Almighty regard it.

    Proverbs 24:20
For there will be no future for the evil man; The lamp of the wicked will be put out.

  38. 5 For thy mouth uttereth thine iniquity, and thou choosest the tongue of the crafty.

6 Thine own mouth condemneth thee, and not I: yea, thine own lips testify against thee.

Even when I feel like something needs to be said, I need to make sure the way I say it does not cut or ruin anyone. Our temple belongs to God that includes our tongue, so it doesn’t give us a right to say or do whatever we want.

  39. 31 Let not him that is deceived trust in vanity: for vanity shall be his recompence.

We cannot lean onto our own understanding. Trusting in other things more than we do God will end in hollow despair. Vanity serves the flesh and in the end we cannot take those things when we die. Our purpose is to live for God, to serve him and build his kingdom.

  40. Job 15:14 What is man, that he should be clean? and he which is born of a woman, that he should be righteous?

Prov.20:9 Who can say, I have made my heart clean, Iam pure from my sin?

Ecclesiastes 7:20 For there is not a just man upon earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not.

  41. Then Eliphaz the Temanite replied: “A wise man wouldn’t answer with such empty talk! You are nothing but a windbag. The wise don’t engage in empty chatter. What good are such words? Have you no fear of God, no reverence for him?
    Job 15:1‭-‬4 NLT

    Proverbs teaches us

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, But fools despise wisdom and instruction.
    Proverbs 1:7 NKJV

A wise man would be one who fears, honors and respects, God. Wise by definition is an adjective of some one having or showing experience, knowledge, and good judgement. There is a way to approach God and to get his attention. A wise person would be one who considers instruction and study to show themselves approved. I dont think that Job was being unwise but showing his frailty as human and displaying emotions, since from the begining we read that he worshiped and offered sacrifice to God. God knows that we are human but we should that the Lord inhabits the praises of Israel, his people. And we are to enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise.
The wisest thing for one to do is have God on their side.

  42. ““For your guilt teaches your mouth, And you choose [to speak] the language of the crafty and cunning. “Your own mouth condemns you, and not I; Yes, your own lips testify against you.”
    ‭‭JOB‬ ‭15:5-6‬ ‭AMP‬‬

Be Quick to hear and slow to speak

“Understand this, my beloved brothers and sisters. Let everyone be quick to hear [be a careful, thoughtful listener], slow to speak [a speaker of carefully chosen words and], slow to anger [patient, reflective, forgiving]; for the [resentful, deep-seated] anger of man does not produce the righteousness of God [that standard of behavior which He requires from us]. So get rid of all uncleanness and all that remains of wickedness, and with a humble spirit receive the word [of God] which is implanted [actually rooted in your heart], which is able to save your souls. But prove yourselves doers of the word [actively and continually obeying God’s precepts], and not merely listeners [who hear the word but fail to internalize its meaning], deluding yourselves [by unsound reasoning contrary to the truth]. For if anyone only listens to the word without obeying it, he is like a man who looks very carefully at his natural face in a mirror; for once he has looked at himself and gone away, he immediately forgets what he looked like. But he who looks carefully into the perfect law, the law of liberty, and faithfully abides by it, not having become a [careless] listener who forgets but an active doer [who obeys], he will be blessed and favored by God in what he does [in his life of obedience].”
    ‭‭JAMES‬ ‭1:19-25‬ ‭AMP‬‬

  43. Job’s friends must have thought they were doing well. They were trying to help. The thing to remember is that even when people try to help, they can be very wrong. Their wrong can go so deep that it causes you to slip or fall. Be careful who you listen to. Guard your heart. Even someone with h good intentions can be very wrong.

  44. Job 15:32 Before his time he will wither, and his branches will not flourish.

    Who’s report shall you believe?

What if Job had listen to his friends Eliphaz? It’s funny how your closest friends can be your worst counselors. Always asks your pastor for advice, even if you might not like what he tells you it’s for the best.

  45. “That thou turnest thy spirit against God, and lettest such words go out of thy mouth?”
    ‭‭Job‬ ‭15:13

When we lose faith I God we turn from him. And we no longer stride for wisdom. So we began to speak stupid things about life, and about God. Ignorant words ignorant mindset.

  46. 6 Your own mouth condemns you, not mine;
your own lips testify against you.

We have to be so careful because as small as the tongue is its a very dangerous weapon. We cant curse and praise from the same mouth. Help me Lord speak how you speak. Help me speak your gospel to others, blessings, praise, sing unto you, and always pray for this city, the lost souls, backsliders, and those that need you Lord!!!

5 Likewise, the tongue is a small part of the body, but it makes great boasts. Consider what a great forest is set on fire by a small spark. 6 The tongue also is a fire, a world of evil among the parts of the body. It corrupts the whole body, sets the whole course of one’s life on fire, and is itself set on fire by hell. James 3:5
With the tongue we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse human beings, who have been made in God’s likeness. 10 Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers and sisters, this should not be. James 3:9-10

  47. In this scripture you can see the fruits of unrighteousness and the reward for the wicked!

    “Stay Righteous”………..

  48. 15 Behold, he putteth no trust in his saints; yea, the heavens are not clean in his sight.

God doesn’t trust the Angels neither does he trust Saints. Nothing is clean in his sight. Lord you know a pure servant that tries to honor you and yet fails. That’s because saints aren’t perfect. Lord Have mercy on the sinner who fails while trying to do your will.

  49. These counselors of Job reminded me of a familiar story ” the bull dog and the Chihuahua dog”. These little dogs are good biters and really fast.😨

    For those that have not heard the story it goes like this ;
The yepping Chihuahua kept yepping at the bull dog and the bull dog just kept on walking ingorning the little dog. Well it made the little dog so mad it took a bite off the bull dog’s leg but the bull dog didn’t stop, he didn’t look to the right nor to the left he just kept on walking regardless of the yepping and snippering of the little Chihuahua.

Like Job there’s times we all need a little of what that bull dog had.
When people treat us unfair, grossly, fasle accuse us,and hurt and bite us with their words. …..We just need to keep on keeping on .
Keep on trusting GOD , PRAYING ,SINGING , READING HIS WORD and working for HIS KINGDOM.

  50. 2 Should a wise man utter vain knowledge, and fill his belly with the east wind?
3 Should he reason with unprofitable talk? or with speeches wherewith he can do no good?
4 Yea, thou castest off fear, and restrainest prayer before God.

  51. 15Look, God does not even trust the angels.

With God we have earn his trust, even the Angels. Like the saying goes “you give respect you’ll earn respect “. Trust is a two street between you and another individual. Once broken, it’s very difficult to trust again.
