Job 35

1 Elihu spake moreover, and said,

2 Thinkest thou this to be right, that thou saidst, My righteousness is more than God’s?

3 For thou saidst, What advantage will it be unto thee? and, What profit shall I have, if I be cleansed from my sin?

4 I will answer thee, and thy companions with thee.

5 Look unto the heavens, and see; and behold the clouds which are higher than thou.

6 If thou sinnest, what doest thou against him? or if thy transgressions be multiplied, what doest thou unto him?

7 If thou be righteous, what givest thou him? or what receiveth he of thine hand?

8 Thy wickedness may hurt a man as thou art; and thy righteousness may profit the son of man.

9 By reason of the multitude of oppressions they make the oppressed to cry: they cry out by reason of the arm of the mighty.

10 But none saith, Where is God my maker, who giveth songs in the night;

11 Who teacheth us more than the beasts of the earth, and maketh us wiser than the fowls of heaven?

12 There they cry, but none giveth answer, because of the pride of evil men.

13 Surely God will not hear vanity, neither will the Almighty regard it.

14 Although thou sayest thou shalt not see him, yet judgment is before him; therefore trust thou in him.

15 But now, because it is not so, he hath visited in his anger; yet he knoweth it not in great extremity:

16 Therefore doth Job open his mouth in vain; he multiplieth words without knowledge.

  1. 4-8. “Well, I’m going to show you that you don’t know what you’re talking about, neither you nor your friends. Look up at the sky. Take a long hard look. See those clouds towering above you? If you sin, what difference could that make to God? No matter how much you sin, will it matter to him? Even if you’re good, what would God get out of that? Do you think he’s dependent on your accomplishments? The only ones who care whether you’re good or bad are your family and friends and neighbors. God’s not dependent on your behavior. MSG

God’s not dependent on our accomplishments or behavior…
He is pleased when we do well because He loves us and wants us to be saved, not because He is dependent on us to do well.

When we think we should be noticed or receive a reward for doing right, we need to remember that God is God whether we do right or wrong, and He can still run this universe without us.

  2. Verses 9-10 CEV “In times of trouble, everyone begs the mighty God to have mercy. But after their Creator helps them through hard times, they forget about him,”. Unfortunately, so many fall into this mindset; but, as Deuteronomy 8:11 reminds us “But that is the time to be careful! Beware that in your plenty you do not forget the Lord your God and disobey his commands, regulations, and decrees that I am giving you today.”

Psalm 34:1 NLT “I will praise the Lord at all times. I will constantly speak his praises.”

“When times get bad, people cry out for help. People are arrogantly indifferent to God— until, of course, they’re in trouble, and then God is indifferent to them. There’s nothing behind such prayers except panic; the Almighty pays them no mind. So why would he notice you just because you say you’re tired of waiting to be heard, Or waiting for him to get good and angry and do something about the world’s problems?”
    ‭‭Job‬ ‭35:4-15‬ ‭MSG‬‬

“O Lord, righteousness belongeth unto thee…
    ‭‭Daniel‬ ‭9:7‬ ‭KJV‬‬

I understand where Elihu is coming from. We can’t say that when we do good we need God to pay us any extra attention because of our good deeds. Righteousness belongs to the Lord., therefore He’s already fully aware of our capabilities. It doesn’t impress God to bring attention to ones self. But on the other hand Job keeps jumping back and forth, saying it doesn’t matter if we sin or not. It does matter toGod about how you choose to live your life. He gave us free will but He says if you are lukewarm I will spit you out of my mouth.

  4. But none saith, Where is God my maker, who giveth songs in the night;

11 Who teacheth us more than the beasts of the earth, and maketh us wiser than the fowls of heaven?

12 There they cry, but none giveth answer, because of the pride of evil men.

13 Surely God will not hear vanity, neither will the Almighty regard it.

  5. I will answer thee, and thy companions with thee.

Aquí Eliu esta justificando a Dios y exaltandoko porque veía que Job talvez por tanto dolor ablaba sin razón y loexorta junto a sus compañeros a buscar la justicia divina

  6. God has instructed us how to live. Job is an example of Gods work. Remember Job was a sinner just like us. We take instruction from God.

  7. Negativity is a spirit that will not only kill the integrity of a person but it will destroy a home, and crumble a nation. It is time to speak life to one another we all have faults but our places of shortcomings are the places where God can show His power.

Jobs friends are steady trying to correct him yet the best way to help people is pray for them and yourself. You will often find out that you where in the way of a trial that you shouldn’t have been in in the first place. Job was tried in the fire because of what he did right not wrong.

I said this statement a while back about Job but I will say it again. “When reading Job we must understand we are getting a physical illustration of what we all go through in our spirit. God is warring with himself and others because of a spiritual frustration.”

So what can we gain from this?

    1. “Job” don’t allow spiritual battles to frustrate your relationships with others. I know I’ve been there. Where my spirit is on edge and it put me in a edgy mood and the only way I can correct my mood is go to my place of prayer and pour the Word of God into my spirit. (The devil was trying Job and he is a spirit that used those around him to frustrate him.
    Ephesians 6:12
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

    2. The devil tried Job through his thoughts or inner-self. In my oppinion some of Jobs speech was a reflection of a fight in his mind.
    2 Corinthians 10:5
    Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

The very last thing I will point out is to the people that are “trying to help Job”

More than anything Job needs your prayers and encouragement. More than trying to correct him love him. Find something you think he’s doing right and speak life! Remember this … God was not fighting against Job but God allowed Satan to fight against Job. I want to believe God and the heavenly host were in Jobs corner quietly cheering him on. For the teacher is quiet during the test but hopeful that their students pass with flying colors. 😉
So if your words are warring against Job who’s side are you really on?

  8. “You say you can’t see him, but he will bring justice if you will only wait.”
    ‭‭Job‬ ‭35:14‬ ‭NLT‬‬

    Patience is the key!

  9. 14 How much less when you say that you do not see him,
that the case is before him, and you are waiting for him!

Wow! How many times have we said this. I just can’t see Him. He is all around us, if we pray let our eyes see what You want us to see. So many times I too have been guilty but it’s not about what we are wanting to see but what is already in front of us. God the creator has made so much for us to see just because we are waiting to see what we have visualized does not mean He is not there. So Lord help my eyes to see Your greatness all around me even in the days of questioning God where are you? You are saying I’m right here watching over you.
He might just be keeping us from what would destroy us so Lord keep my eyes on You. Your Greatness is everywhere, Dont let me miss what You want me to see while I’m trying to see what I want to see.

  10. iLove to Go Blog

Job 35:5-7 NLT Look up into the sky, and see the clouds high above you. (6) If you sin, how does that affect God? Even if you sin again and again, what effect will it have on Him? (7) If you are good, is this some great gift to Him? What could you possibly give Him?

I’ve seen over the years those who have once been faithful to the house of God become bitter toward God. Once this bitterness sets in, folks almost seem as if by sinning more it will somehow affect God.

God is the same and does not change. Our sin and attitudes only affect us, God works on principles in His Word. The Word says to draw near unto Him and He will draw near unto you. God doesn’t attend many pity parties.

  11. The problem in this generation

    10 But none saith, Where is God my maker, who giveth songs in the night;
11 Who teacheth us more than the beasts of the earth, and maketh us wiser than the fowls of heaven?
12 There they cry, but none giveth answer, because of the pride of evil men.

We have forgotten about God. This is a scary thought, but many have forgotten about Him. Let’s be awakened again and Go

  12. 6 “If you have sinned, what do you accomplish against Him? And if your transgressions are multiplied, what have you done to Him?
7 “If you are righteous, what do you give God, or what does He receive from your hand? (AMP)

Go sin, and you’re the only one who’s going to endure the consequences. We’re the only ones who suffer. Live righteously, and still, only you will be the one to prosper. As much as God loves it, there’s nothing He doesn’t already have, nothing He hasn’t already seen. I am forever indebted to You God for the price You paid!

  13. 5 Look unto the heavens, and see; and behold the clouds which are higher than thou.

God created the heavens and the Earth by his blood we are clean from our sin yet we may fall god picks us Back up we all sin and no of us has the right to judge

  14. WHEN GOD IGNORES

13 Surely God will not hear vanity, neither will the Almighty regard it.

Vain requests, vain petitions, vain complaints GOD will not hear. The word VAINITY means

7723. shawv; or shav; the sense of desolating; evil (as destructive), literally (ruin) or morally (especially guile); figuratively idolatry (as false, subjective), uselessness (as deceptive, objective; also adverbially, in vain):—false(-ly), lie, lying, vain, vanity.

Basically anything we pray for personal gain or with impure motives is VANITY and GOD will NOT hear.

    AMP
13 “Surely God will not listen to an empty cry [which lacks trust],
Nor will the Almighty regard it.

Faith without ACTION is VANITY and GOD ignores it.

James 2:20 But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?

JESUS help us to put wheels on our dreams, legs on your promises, hands on our calling and purpose to our passion for you and your Kingdom. The approach of sincere FAITH will garner the attention of the ALMIGHTY GOD, however empty requests and promises will simply be empty words.

Philippians 4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

    iRepent
    iPraise
    iPray
    iWork

  15. And when they cry out, God does not answer because of their pride.
    Job 35:12

Lord I pray today as I come to you Lord reveal to me oh Lord if there any pride in my heart , Holy Ghost destroy the joke of pride, in Jesus name. I plead the blood!!

  16. Job 35:13 (AMPC)
13 Surely God will refuse to answer [the cry which is] vanity (vain and empty—instead of abiding trust); neither will the Almighty regard it—

Trust is something men greatly value, and since we are made in His image then God must value it too. Trust is an investment, it’s a risk. Anytime we put trust in someone or something we do so knowing they may not come through. When this happens that trust is broken and we feel less inclined to put our investment in them. We may be hurt again by risking with that person.

Not so with God. We can ever and always trust him.

    2 Samuel 22:3 (KJV Strong’s)
3 The God of my rock; in him will I trust:
he is my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower, and my refuge,
my saviour; thou savest me from violence.

    2 Samuel 22:31 (KJV Strong’s)
    31 As for God, his way is perfect;
the word of the Lord is tried:
he is a buckler to all them that trust in him.

    Psalms 18:2 (KJV Strong’s)
    2 The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer;
    my God, my strength, in whom I will trust;
my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.

    Psalms 20:7 (KJV Strong’s)
7 Some trust in chariots, and some in horses:
but we will remember the name of the Lord our God.

  17. MSG – “When times get bad, people cry out for help.
They cry for relief from being kicked around,
But never give God a thought when things go well,
when God puts spontaneous songs in their hearts,
When God sets out the entire creation as a science classroom,
using birds and beasts to teach wisdom.
People are arrogantly indifferent to God—
until, of course, they’re in trouble,

How sad but true in many cases, people only cry out to God when they are in trouble. He created man so He and man could have a relationship. Only turning to Him when trouble is in your way, is not relationship.

Trust is easier to some degree when you do have that relationship because you know that He will not give you more than you can bear, and during your test/trial you can run to Him and He will cover you with peace that everything is gonna be alright.

  18. 13 Surely God will not hear vanity, neither will the Almighty regard it.

14 Although thou sayest thou shalt not see him, yet judgment is before him; therefore trust thou in him

We should make sure our lives are not vain or self centered because God will not hear us. .. instead we should be focused on His work and His kingdom and put our trust and confidence in Him…

  19. 5 Look unto the heavens, and see; and behold the clouds which are higher than thou.

No matter how bad or even good we are, our actions do not hurt or change who God is. Our actions affect ourselves and others around us. If we misrepresent God it doesn’t change who he is, it hurts others perception of him. Gods mercy, and salvation, doesn’t benefit God. It’s for us. God doesn’t need us to continue to be God, we need God to be anything of value.

  20. He does not answer when people cry out because of the arrogance of the wicked.
    Job 35:12 NIV

Sometimes we think God is our personal genie and that we can ask for whatever we want and He has to give it to us. When he doesn’t answer we throw our spiritual tantrums like spoiled children because He doesn’t answer. The truth is that God answers to no one and He knows what we need. He will not give us what we want if it’s our carnal needs and wants. We must always auto examine ourselves and see that we are right with God, if not we must repent and ask for Forgiveness and God will answer in due time.

  21. Proverbs 24 King James Version (KJV)
24 Be not thou envious against evil men, neither desire to be with them.
2 For their heart studieth destruction, and their lips talk of mischief.
3 Through wisdom is an house builded; and by understanding it is established:
4 And by knowledge shall the chambers be filled with all precious and pleasant riches.
5 A wise man is strong; yea, a man of knowledge increaseth strength.
6 For by wise counsel thou shalt make thy war: and in multitude of counsellors there is safety.
16 For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again: but the wicked shall fall into mischief.
17 Rejoice not when thine enemy falleth, and let not thine heart be glad when he stumbleth:

Todays Proverb has great words of wisdom. Job was battling affliction, not reaping from sin. He needed friends who would encourage and pray for him during his trial.

  22. 8 Your wickedness only affects humans like yourself, and your righteousness only other people.

Amen!!! I never was taught how much my actions can curse or bless someone till recently. When I see someone backslide I don’t only see them backsliding but i see a generation that was depending on that one person to bring them to Christ. That’s why I praise God for Pastor being so sensitive to when God spoke to Him. Pastor just left everything and started following God. Thank You Pastor!!! Each and every one of us has a specific purpose in the kingdom of God (to reach souls) yet how many of us truly leave everything behind and let God be in control. We can’t tell God ” Lord use me” but yet we’re not willing to be used!!! We must GROW UP, remove our carnality and just let God be in control. We just have to trust, have faith, and realize that He is there right beside us!!! Thank You Jesus!!!! Give me the courage and boldness I need Lord!!!!

  23. ““When times get bad, people cry out for help. They cry for relief from being kicked around, But never give God a thought when things go well, when God puts spontaneous songs in their hearts, When God sets out the entire creation as a science classroom, using birds and beasts to teach wisdom.
    ‭‭Job‬ ‭35:9-15‬ ‭MSG‬‬

  24. Job 35 6-8 If thou sinnest what doest thou against him? Or if thy transgressions be multiplied, what doest thou unto him? If thou be righteous, what gives thou him? Or what receive he of thine hand? Thy wickedness may hurt a man as thou art; and thy righteousness may profit the son of man.

God was kind to Job, even when Job was suffering. God taught Job many things. Job learned that death is not the end of everything. Job discovered that God would rescue him.

  25. 2 Thinkest thou this to be right, that thou saidst, My righteousness is more than God’s?

3 For thou saidst, What advantage will it be unto thee? and, What profit shall I have, if I be cleansed from my sin?

4 I will answer thee, and thy companions with thee.

5 Look unto the heavens, and see; and behold the clouds which are higher than thou.

6 If thou sinnest, what doest thou against him? or if thy transgressions be multiplied, what doest thou unto him?

7 If thou be righteous, what givest thou him? or what receiveth he of thine hand?

No matter the righteous person I may think I am, It is still by God’s grace I can do anything at all.

  26. Job 35:9-10 (MSG)
    9) When times get bad, people cry out for help. They cry for relief from being kicked around,
    10) But never give God a thought when things go well, when God puts spontaneous songs in their hearts.

How often do we see this happen? When people or America is going through something traumatic, they want help from God, but once things get better, they never give Him another thought.

There’s a song intitled “Praise is what I do ” The chorus says…
    I vow to praise you
Through the good and the bad.
    I’ll praise you,
    Whether happy or sad.
    I’ll praise you.
    (this is my testimony)
In all that I go through,
    (somebody said why)
Because praise is what I do,
Cause I owe it all to you.

LORD, I Praise You Through It All!!

  27. 14 Although thou sayest thou shalt not see him, yet judgment is before him; therefore trust thou in him.

15 But now, because it is not so, he hath visited in his anger; yet he knoweth it not in great extremity:

16 Therefore doth Job open his mouth in vain; he multiplieth words without knowledge.

I have felt that there were times that I have prayed in vain. I know that I use to pray when I felt like I was in a pity party. Those days are over with; I want God to hear me and talk to me. I know that there are some things that I still have to remove for God to fully hear me and teach me, but I do know that I have spoken words without knowledge and felt like a louse. Now I am very careful about what I say and I thank Jesus for covering me and teaching me….Amen!!!!

  28. 10 But none saith, Where is God my maker, who giveth songs in the night;
11 Who teacheth us more than the beasts of the earth, and maketh us wiser than the fowls of heaven?
12 There they cry, but none giveth answer, because of the pride of evil men.

Jesus continually gives us songs, though the darkest times in our lives. He continues to shine his light on our paths, giving us chance after chance to turn to him, his ways. To follow Him. To reach His people. To share the answer… JESUS. Unfortunately our PRIDE gets the best of us too many times, and we decide to play God, and decide that our neighbor doesn’t want to hear about Jesus, he’s a drunk. Our co-worker doesn’t want to hear that she needs to forgive her family, they were really mean to her and her partner. Our PRIDE is what that is telling us to not share the good news of Christ with those around us. We must swallow our pride and GO work and reach the souls around us…

  29. 13 Surely God will not hear vanity, neither will the Almighty regard it.

God does not hear those of a vain heart or selfishness. Instead of putting ourselves at the center, we need to put God at the center of everything!

  30. Why do easily forget to give God glory or forget to pray when things are going great?

    12. …never give God a thought when things go well… MSG

If we are going to give glory to God in all things, we must believe and recognize God’s involvement in all things. If God cares when a hair falls from our heads or a sparrow falls from the sky, surely he is concerned with our daily activities. Whether the day is generally good or bad; we must understand that everything is orchestrated by God. Consider 1 Corinthians 10:31 So eat your meals heartily, not worrying about what others say about you—you’re eating to God’s glory, after all, not to please them. As a matter of fact, do everything that way, heartily and freely to God’s glory.

It may seem inconsequential and/or overwhelming to think God is concerned with every aspect of our lives. Everything we do does matter and every detail should be done for God’s glory. Not only what we do but what we attempt to do can bring honor to God. Any goal we set that causes us to trust God more, brings glory to God. Any goal we set that causes to us obey God, to love God, to serve God, any goal that causes us to want to brag on God and tell others, ‘Look what Jesus did for me’—that’s a goal that brings glory to God.”

  31. “Then Elihu said: “Do you think it is right for you to claim, ‘I am righteous before God’? For you also ask, ‘What’s in it for me? What’s the use of living a righteous life?’ “I will answer you and all your friends, too.”
    ‭‭Job‬ ‭35:1-4‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Sometimes it’s easy for people to criticize things they don’t really understand. It’s in those times it’s best to be a person a few words. It tends to make a bigger mess and hurt people that you never intended.

“A truly wise person uses few words; a person with understanding is even-tempered. Even fools are thought wise when they keep silent; with their mouths shut, they seem intelligent.”
    ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭17:27-28‬ ‭NLT‬‬

  32. When times get bad, people cry out for help.
They cry for relief from being kicked around,
But never give God a thought when things go well,
when God puts spontaneous songs in their hearts,
When God sets out the entire creation as a science classroom,
using birds and beasts to teach wisdom.
People are arrogantly indifferent to God—
until, of course, they’re in trouble,
and then God is indifferent to them.
    There’s nothing behind such prayers except panic;
the Almighty pays them no mind.
So why would he notice you
just because you say you’re tired of waiting to be heard,
Or waiting for him to get good and angry
and do something about the world’s problems? Msg

God does care about the decisions that we make even the ones that we choose to take God’s glory. We are to give God glory in everything we do. There is nothing good in us and its all because of him were able to do what we do!

  33. “If thou be righteous, what givest thou him? or what receiveth he of thine hand? Thy wickedness may hurt a man as thou art; and thy righteousness may profit the son of man.”
    ‭‭Job‬ ‭35:7-8‬ ‭KJV‬‬

” Even if you’re good, what would God get out of that? Do you think he’s dependent on your accomplishments? The only ones who care whether you’re good or bad are your family and friends and neighbors. God’s not dependent on your behavior.”
    ‭‭Job‬ ‭35:7-8‬ ‭MSG‬‬

God is sovereign. He rules with sight far larger than anyhibn we could imagine. Our behavior matters as how we influence those around us. It also matters as to the influence God allows us to have on others and our own atmosphere.

“Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.”
    ‭‭James‬ ‭5:16‬ ‭KJV‬‬

  34. And when they cry out, God does not answer because of their pride.
    Job 35:12 NLT

God will not attend to the proud heart. If a man wants to get God”s attention he mist first humble himself before him. There are many examples of people from bible times that humbled themselves and God took notice and acted on their favor.
Humility, I would say is a key to God’s heart.

Though the Lord is great, he cares for the humble, but he keeps his distance from the proud.
    Psalms 138:6 NLT

  35. But it is wrong to say God doesn’t listen, to say the Almighty isn’t concerned. You say you can’t see him, but he will bring justice if you will only wait. (‭Job‬ ‭35‬:‭13-14‬ NLT)

  36. Thy wickedness may hurt a man as thou art; and thy righteousness may profit the son of man.(Job 35:8 KJV)

People out in this world that think Carnal thoughts they don’t know that what they say in public is affecting others around them and don’t know they are hurting there relationship with God and people’s relationships.

  37. 6If you sin, how does that affect him?If your sins are many, what does that do to him?

Jesus died for our sin that we may be forgiven when we repent. If we turn back to sin it’s like we crucify Christ afresh. When we sin it severs the bond in our relationship with God and effects others around us that we influence.

  38. When you establish a good connection with God the enemy will always try to run interference. Thanks be to God, he gives us the ability to decipher through all the interferences.

  39. 9 By reason of the multitude of oppressions they make the oppressed to cry: they cry out by reason of the arm of the mighty.
    10 But none saith, Where is God my maker, who giveth songs in the night;
11 Who teacheth us more than the beasts of the earth, and maketh us wiser than the fowls of heaven?
12 There they cry, but none giveth answer, because of the pride of evil men.
13 Surely God will not hear vanity, neither will the Almighty regard it.

  40. 11 Who teacheth us more than the beasts of the earth, and maketh us wiser than the fowls of heaven?

12 There they cry, but none giveth answer, because of the pride of evil men.

13 Surely God will not hear vanity, neither will the Almighty regard it.
Thank God for the hardship in your life, and remember those hardships you thanked him for when lifes going well because without those thorns you wouldnt be in the good situation youre in.
So basically Thank him for the good things
Thank him for the bad things
    Thank him for all things
    Then remember Phillipians 4:13

  41. 3 For thou saidst, What advantage will it be unto thee? and, What profit shall I have, if I be cleansed from my sin?

Is a privilege to be clean from our sins.

  42. “There they cry, but none giveth answer, because of the pride of evil men.”
    ‭‭Job‬ ‭35:12‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Pride will kill you. Pride will destroy you. Pride will condem you. Pride will not allow you to experience peace

  43. Job 35:9-11 “People cry out under a load of oppression; they plead for relief from the arm of the powerful. But no one says, ‘Where is God my Maker, who gives songs in the night, who teaches us more than he teaches the beasts of the earth and makes us wiser than the birds in the sky?’

There are so many similarities from those days to our current times. We live in times that people only come to God because they have a need. There is either a sickness, or a financial burden, or something similar that has brought them together. So God turns into just a means to their need.

Most people see God like how we view a pig. A pig is a very cognitive and telogen animal that is capable of learning and distinguishing between right and wrong. But the first thing we think of when someone says pig is pork chops, bacon, baby back ribs etc.

We treat dad like a means to an end. Like this young man noted, that we do not see that as the creator of all things. We do not spend time pondering when we look at the heavens and try to be grateful that we serve a great God.

We need to come to the understanding that we were wonderfully made by the hands of the Almighty, molded to perfection in his likeness and forget what we can get from him and just worship.

  44. Job 35:14 Although thou safest thou shalt not see him, yet judgment is before him; therefore trust thou in him.

Psalm 37:5,6 Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass. And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday.

  45. 12 There they cry, but none giveth answer, because of the pride of evil men.

13 Surely God will not hear vanity, neither will the Almighty regard it.

God resists the proud and he moves for the humble. This is a hard lesson to learn if your the proud one. When your in trouble and crying for help and it seems like Hod doesn’t hear you, it is really worse than that, he hears you but he’s ignoring you. But if you come humbly not only will he hear you but his word promises that he will hear from heaven and heal your land. Humility is the key to get God to answer.

  46. Asking God for forgiveness and repenting is what Elihu is talking about. There is much to say but little understanding. Choose righteousness much evil will surpass the mind to the point of frustration and disobedience. That’s what the enemy wants to do in the case of Job is confuse him so he’ll follow evil instead of God.

  47. 3 For you also ask, ‘What’s in it for me? What’s the use of living a righteous life?’

This is what an unbeliever usually ask. What is God going do for me? How will God help me? Why should I believe in God? We have to be ready to help and answer these questions.
