Psalm 1

1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

4 The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.

5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.

6 For the Lord knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.

  1. Blessed [fortunate, prosperous, and favored by God] is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked [following their advice and example], Nor stand in the path of sinners, Nor sit [down to rest] in the seat of scoffers (ridiculers). But his delight is in the law of the LORD, And on His law [His precepts and teachings] he [habitually] meditates day and night. And he will be like a tree firmly planted [and fed] by streams of water, Which yields its fruit in its season; Its leaf does not wither; And in whatever he does, he prospers [and comes to maturity]. (‭PSALM‬ ‭1‬:‭1-3‬ AMP)

  2. The moment i started to live a righteous life was the moment i began to see blessings. God is good. Gods great. 6 For the Lord knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish. I try to preach this all the time at work. Its a warzone here and a constant battle, im unbeatable with God on my side. 3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

    Amen

  3. This chapter in the NKJV is captioned “The Way of the Righteous and the End of the Ungodly”. The way of the righteous is blessed and prosperous; but, the way of the ungodly shall perish. This reminds me of our memory verse for this quarter, Matthew 6:33 AMP “But first and most importantly seek (aim at, strive after) His kingdom and His righteousness [His way of doing and being right—the attitude and character of God], and all these things will be given to you also.”

  4. 5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.

6 For the Lord knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.

I remember a time when I stood with the ungodly; there were at times I felt something pulling me. I wasn’t sure what it was: now I know that it was God pulling me from an unclean life. He was calling me to a higher life and way of living. I know that there is a lot that I need to do; to grow in the Kingdom of God. I am on the path of the righteous and don’t want to return to that ungodly life. I love getting into the word and growing in the sight of God. Now I need to step out in faith and follow the path of the righteous; so that former life will not creep back in…….Thank you Jesus……Amen!!!!

Proverbs:4:26 Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established.

  5. 1. Oh, the joys of those who do not follow the advice of the wicked, or stand around with sinners, or join in with mockers.

Job didn’t follow the advice of the wicked, and the Lord watched over him. We read yesterday how he was blessed ‘double for his trouble’.

  7. 1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

God has a plan for all of us… The ungodly is sure Persish. It says we are like a tree planted by the river… I draw that to, we are forever being watered (by the lord) and it says we bring forth fruit, with the lord we bring forth the fruit of the spirit. He is my savior and I will worship him!!!

  8. 1 How well God must like you— you don’t hang out at Sin Saloon, you don’t slink along Dead-End Road, you don’t go to Smart-Mouth College.
2-3 Instead you thrill to God’s Word, you chew on Scripture day and night. You’re a tree replanted in Eden, bearing fresh fruit every month, Never dropping a leaf, always in blossom. (MSG)

In order to be that planted tree for God you must let go of everything to start new. Like a seed it must let go of the plant it’s on in order for it to grow on its own path. We must all let go of our wrong ways if we want to blossom in Gods kingdom. God puts us on the right road but it’s up to us if we follow it or go in our own sin to a dead end road.

  9. Psalms 1:3 (KJV Strong’s)

3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water,
    that bringeth forth his fruit in his season;
    his leaf also shall not wither;
and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

Sometimes we pray prayers that God has already given us an answer for. Here we see four common prayers prayed by people of God.

I pray that you will bless me.
I pray that I will be a soul winner.
I pray that the work of my hands remains.
    I pray for prosperity.

But God already gave us the formula.
Don’t follow the advice of the world, or involve yourself in scornful debate. Don’t allow yourself to walk in the way of the world.

Instead delight, take pleasure, allow yourself to be joyfully consumed, in the word of God, and dwell, think deeply, on it day and night.

  10. And he SHALL be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also SHALL NOT wither; and whatsoever he doeth SHALL PROSPER. Psalms 1:3

The LORD speak of a promise in this chapter. There’s promises the has been declared to POFW, they will come to pass. 7 years of plenty!! Hallelujah thank you Lord.

  11. “But they delight in the law of the LORD, meditating on it day and night. They are like trees planted along the riverbank, bearing fruit each season. Their leaves never wither, and they prosper in all they do.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭1:2-3‬ ‭NLT‬‬

What fruit do you bear? It’s easy to say you live one way, yet the fruit of our spirit will always confirm the actual way we are living.

    “How Do We Become Fruitful?”

How do we become fruitful? The simple answer is we need to read the Word of God and allow it to change us.

Psalms 1:2-3 KJV  But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.  (3)  And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

Meditating on the Word continually allows us to bring forth fruit…but what is that fruit? Great question and easy answer. Galatians 5:22-23 KJV  But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,  (23)  Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

Do you need Love? Read the Word, meditate on it, and Go Blog
Do you need Joy? Read the Word, meditate on it, and Go Blog
Do you need Peace? Read the Word, meditate on it, and Go Blog
Do you need Longsuffering? Read the Word, meditate on it, and Go Blog
Do you need Gentleness? Read the Word, meditate on it, and Go Blog
Do you need Goodness? Read the Word, meditate on it, and Go Blog
Do you need Faith? Read the Word, meditate on it, and Go Blog
Do you need Temperance? Read the Word, meditate on it, and Go Blog

Everything we need to become fruitful is found in the Word of God.

    Amen & Amen,
My daddy quoted these passages of scriptures quite often to us girls.
He always encouraged us to walk not in counsel of ungodly but to always seek the Will of God and the Wisdom of those in Spiritual authority.
He also taught that if we were like a tree planted by the rivers that our roots would go deeply and nothing could move us from our belief in God and we would bring forth fruit.
    Amen & Amen

  14. Oh, the joys of those who do not follow the advice of the wicked, or stand around with sinners, or join in with mockers. But they delight in the law of the Lord , meditating on it day and night. They are like trees planted along the riverbank, bearing fruit each season. Their leaves never wither, and they prosper in all they do.
    Psalms 1:1‭-‬3 NLT

It’s joy when we follow GOD LAW instead of following the wicked of this world its peace to know that GOD is always with us.
All these thing come when you put GOD first love , peace, joy, happiness. …….

Oh what a joy is to follow GOD law

  15. Thank you Jesus for your word! Wow God is an on-time God. I have a situation at work right now that is stretching me. And in prayer last night I was praying about the situation. And I felt impressed by the Holy Ghost that I was going to be a David in the situation. Well. God works in ways above ours. So thank you Jesus that we are going through Psalms right now. Because these are worship testaments and songs. Thank you Jesus for David and the lessons we can learn from him.

  16. 3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

Lord I will follow in Your ways so that I would be like a tree planted for Your glory!

  17. 1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counse.l of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
As Christians we must be careful where we walk and where we stand as well as who we sit with. we cannot allow ourselves to partner with ungodliness

  18. 1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

Those who diligently try to obey God’s will are blessed. There are two paths that we can take, God’s way of obedience or the path of rebellion. We must be sure we are following the path of God, because the path you choose determines your eternity!

The more we delight in God’s word the more fruitful we will be. In the same sense if we allow those who speak against God to affect our thoughts and attitudes the more we separate ourselves from God. We must have contact with those who may not believe in God, to witness to them but if we are only immating them we will never win them to God.

When we apply God’s wisdom the fruit we bear will be good and we will receive His approval. Just as a tree soaks up water and bears good fruit, we are to soak up the word of God, producing actions and attitudes that honor God. To achieve anything worthwhile me must have His word in our hearts!

  19. BLESSED AS YOU GO

1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

Most people seek counsel for big decisions. However, unfortunately there is usually an unwise and ungodly voice there to offer counsel. To be ungodly they do not have to be smoking, drinking, drugging only, they could be lying, deceiving, gossiping or controlling.

To be BLESSED we are to be walking with JESUS. Not hanging out with ill motive friends, not standing idle with sinners not sitting around listening to complainers.

  20. 1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

    “But Jesus with the sinners!”

Yes. Yes he did. Jesus ate with, Spent time with, and ministered to sinners.
But Jesus wasn’t influenced by the sinners. He didn’t begin to live like them to become relevant or reach them. He didn’t get advice from the ungodly. Jesus was in tune with God at all times and influenced those around him. He was doing his fathers will just like we should today. Don’t sit with the sinners if the they are influencing you, sit with them if it’s the fathers will and you are the influence.

  21. 1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

We live in the world but we aren’t of the world.

    Blessings!

  22. 1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

The promises and blessings of God are refreshing. Our job is to live and walk in his ways, delight in him. If we grow our roots deep in him (verse 3) we can weather the storms of life, like a palm tree that bends in hurricanes but don’t break.

  23. 3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

The ungodly will be punished. JUst because it seems like they are getting away with thoere filthy sins doesnt mean God is pleased with them or dont care what they do. God know the way of the righteous, when we do our best to live for the Lord and follow his ways he will reward us! Stand strong like a tree so when the storms come you won’t be bent out of shape and not able to recover. Lean on his word.

  24. 1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
We are not suppose to act holier than thou just cause someone is not in the church. We are to love the sinner and hate the sin. What does it hurt to have lunch with a sinner, but not partake of the sin. Help that sinner out from his sin. I work with people that are looking for something different than what they have and all we have to do is be that live Christ like tree that they are looking for. How rooted and grounded are your roots in the truth?

  25. Psalm 1. A righteous person rejects the lifestyle of the wicked to find delight in Gods law a choice which yields stability and prosperity. The wicked are vulnerable to destruction for God supervises the out come of mans moral choices

  26. 1 Blessed is the one
who does not walk in step with the wicked
or stand in the way that sinners take
or sit in the company of mockers,
2 but whose delight is in the law of the Lord,
and who meditates on his law day and night. NIV

Following the law of the Lord is important for us to do because without it we would be lost in sin and lost in our wicked ways

  27. MSG -2-3 Instead you thrill to God’s Word,
you chew on Scripture day and night.
You’re a tree replanted in Eden,
    bearing fresh fruit every month,
    Never dropping a leaf,
    always in blossom.

We must hide HIS word in our hearts that we don’t sin against God. The only way that HIS word can effect our lives everyday is to know it. Reading it, meditating on it, praying it, living it is the best way to get it in our hearts.

  28. 1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

Where is your word coming from? are you looking to have your ears tickled and pampered? do you care about truth whether it hurts or not? people these days care more about whats being said over how or why it is said?
if the bible says we are blessed for not standing in the way of sinners, then surely we are cursed if we stand in the way of a sinner who needs Jesus; whether it be by NOT saying what they need to hear in the way they need to hear it. WE MUST be watchful for when God wants to speak to someone and be discerning in the way we say it. We can comfort with lies someone into hell just as much as we can send them to hell with truth.

  29. 1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

Contemplating issues in life…how to handle situations…. I could go with a worldly approach, but where does that get me? When we’re already in a whirlwind of trouble we need the clarity of the Word to guide us. I could have gone to anyone I know that still lives in the world and they would have told me what I want to hear. I delight in the law. It gives me sound advice straight from the mouth of God. How can one not delight in that?

  30. I have to ask myself everyday, If Jesus were to come NOW am I READY??
Im starting to prepare now! I should have been preparing!
1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night

I have been bitter and scornful! I have had too much Idol time that was used to tear down in my life what God has been building up! Thank you Jesus for forgiveness! Thank you for setting me back on the right path! The world has nothing to offer us but death spiritually and sometimes physically,
Its time to stop playing pity pat with the devil and come to a MADE UP MIND THAT I AM GOING TO FOLLOW JESUS! I didn’t get clean from drugs by dipping and dabbing, I had to leave it alone and move far from the place where it was readily accessible to me. The same with my Relationship with Jesus, I have to give up things, and people that keep me wanting to go back to the life I use to live, and give up on the man that God has put in my life! I will EAT GODS WORD, I WILL NOT MISS A DAY OF BLOGGING, OR MY BIBLE STUDY ON FB WITH THE LADIES, I WILL MAKE MY SELF AVAILABLE AND BE ACCOUNTABLE! so I dont walk in the counsel of the ungodly, standeth in the way of sinners, or sit in the seat of the scornful! My delight shall be in the Lord and I will read his word daily and meditate on it and seek him for knowledge of the word!
Thank you Jesus for life and repentance and forgiveness

  31. Psalms 1:1-2 (NLT)
    1) Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockery,
    2) but whose delight is in the law of The Lord, and who meditates on his law day and night.

    You want to be Blessed?
DON’T walk in step with the wicked
DON’T stand in the way that sinners take
DON’T sit in the company of mockery
    But
DO delight yourself in God’s Word
DO meditate on God’s Word day and night

  32. “Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭1:1‬ ‭KJV‬‬

I remember sitting across from professors, trying to explain situations of life and hearing their answers. Answers that gave me stomach aches. Even though they might mean well doesn’t always mean their answers are correct.

  33. the wicked and ungodly have no delight in the law of God they bring forth no fruit but what is evil. The righteous are like , fruitful trees the ungodly are like seeds which the wind drives away , as not being of any use. They have no worth in God’s account, no matter how high they value themselves. They are easily driven away by every wind of temptation, if you find delight in the presents of the wicked you are alredy not taking the path of the lord

  34. Psalms 1:2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

The law is the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. If we delight in his law (word), and meditate in his law (word) day and night, we are delighting and thinking of Him day and night.

When we harbor his Word in our heart (Psalm 119:11), is what is going to keep us from sinning. The emphasis of the day and night, is because not only when its good or when God is present will I delight, but since satan is the ruler of the darkness, we are to have God present even in our dark times.

  35. 1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

  36. 2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

When we read the word of God every day, we keep our feet planted on solid ground, not being easily torn away from the troubles of the world trying to pull us out.

  37. 6 For the Lord knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.
God knows the way that His plan unfolds for us. He also knows where you go when you deviate from that path. Help me stay rooted and grounded in you Lord; for my sake and for my family. (Youth Bible Quizzing 1994-95, oh how I remember this chapter.)

  38. 1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

Standing in the way of a sinner can cause you real harm, but there are 5 things that e are told to do here to be blessed.

    1) Do not take the advice of ungodly people
    2) Do not get in the way of a sinner
3)Do not make fun of people
    4) Delight in the law of God
    5) Meditate on the law of God day and night

  39. Psalm 1-3 the English amp Bible its says ,and he shall be like a tree firmly planted(and tended) by the streams of water, ready to bring forth its fruit in its season ; it leaf also shall not fade or wither; and everything he does shall prosper(and come to maturity). (Jeremiah 17:7,8). I will read, study, meditate, grow deeper for you Jesus.

  40. But they delight in the law of the Lord , meditating on it day and night. They are like trees planted along the riverbank, bearing fruit each season. Their leaves never wither, and they prosper in all they do.
    Psalms 1:2‭-‬3 NLT
    http://bible.com/116/psa.1.2-3.NLT

If we are rooted in the Word there will always be Good fruit . We will always be prosperous and in any season we will remain strong especially our mind and spirit. There will be no room for a poverty mentality because His Word will be feeding us like the river feeds the trees. It will be our substance.

  41. 1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

There are two distinct actions revealed to us by which we can be blessed. It would be safe to say they go hand in hand and you cant be blessed, at least the way it is speaking here-like trees planted by the water. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. And faith without works is dead. So to be blessed we must excersice that faith delight in the law of the Lord and meditate on it, his Word. And take action…depart from evil walk not in the counsel of ungodly, stand not in the way of sinners, seat in the seat of the scornful… In other words, depart from evil.

  42. 4 The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.

When you don’t meditate and keep God’s word in your heart you will struggle to be prosperous and receive His blessings.

  43. 3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

Their is a blessing that comes from living a separate life in holiness. When we do the Lord causes us to grow because we are rooted in him, nurtured by the rivers of living water.

  44. 6 For the Lord knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.

You can run but you can’t hide. God knows everything when you think God isn’t watching he is. You know the ungodly has no place in the kingdom. Seek righteousness above all things no matter how difficult it is , it’s not worth your troubles to sin when God can lead you to that place where your feeling emptiness he’ll fill it with the love and kindness that you’ve never experienced before.

  45. 1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

Nor standeth in the way of sinners…..

If we confess to be christians and live like the devil we send the wrong message to the sinners in the world. We either tell them it’s ok to sin and that we are not concerned about the laws of God or we are telling them that there are not really any real christians and that it doesn’t matter if they join the church or not because we are all going to the same hell. We are standing in their way from receiving the truth and their salvation. If we get in the way of a sinner finding his or her way to the cross we will beh held responsible for their souls and any that they could have reached. It’s very dangerous being a half hearted or part time Christian. Your either in or out. There is no grey area with God. Everything we do after we receive the Holy Ghost is a heaven or hell issue.

  46. “But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭1:2‬ ‭KJV‬‬

    Thankful for the LAW!

“This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.”
    ‭‭Joshua‬ ‭1:8‬ ‭KJV‬‬

  47. “And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭1:3‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The tree is fruitful and doesn’t die. It doesn’t even go into hibernation. It’s always green and always prospers, why? It is planted by rivers of water.

“Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭1:1‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The tree is planted by the water and has fruit because good things in, good things out. Sowing and reaping. He takes Godly counsel, allows sinners go to God, and doesn’t give people a hard time about the way to go with Jesus.

  48. 6 For the Lord knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.

For the LORD watches over the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked leads to destruction. (NIV)

For the Lord watches over the path of the godly, but the path of the wicked leads to destruction. (NLT)

Very simple SIN=DEATH!!! If we are following His commands we watches over us. Let us not get distracted in the things of this world and loose track of the Lords path and perish!!! Let us not faint but keep going, going, and going till we get our reward in heaven! 🙂 Our reward will last forever!!! AMEN!!!

24 Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. 25 Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last, but we do it to get a crown that will last forever. 26 Therefore I do not run like someone running aimlessly; I do not fight like a boxer beating the air. 27 No, I strike a blow to my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize.
    1 Corinthians 9:24-27

  49. 4 The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.

The righteous have grown so much that they weigh more. Not from physical food but spiritually. The ungodly is compared to chaff which does not have weight at all.

If we intend to be faithful to the things of God we are going to have to big deeper into His Word and we are going to be intentional in prayer.

  50. Is chaff useless?

Let’s, consider the two parts of the wheat fruit; the kernel and the chaff. On any given Sunday we head off to church, root for the good guys (Yay, wheat!), tsk, tsk the bad guys (Boo, chaff!), pat ourselves on the back for falling in with the wheat crowd, then go home and munch on some bagels made from, well, wheat.

Farmers know that wheat does not come in two parts. The chaff is an important part of the wheat plant it is the dry husk surrounding the wheat kernel which is the part used for food. The chaff is the cocoon within which the kernel is protected during development. Without the chaff the kernel would be too exposed to the elements and would not develop correctly. Winnowing the chaff is basically knocking the wheat kernels away from the rest of the plant. Today this is done with a combine a machine that can cost well over a million dollars.

Separating the wheat from the chaff is not about separating good folks from bad. Before separating a part from itself, the “self” must be broken. The separating process is known as threshing. Threshing wheat requires violence. The wheat plant is broken. Separating the wheat from the chaff involves breaking the lesser from the better. Wheat and chaff are not distinct elements until after the threshing.

We must not despise or fear the threshing. It is part of life and we cannot fully develop into the mature Christian God wants us to be until we have removed the cocoon that brought us to the threshing.

  51. 1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

Is better to walk in the path of the Lord then away from Him. In the past before I used was away from God and everything went wrong. Today I can say I’m bless to be in his path.

  52. Psalm 1:1-3 The brilliant first Psalm contrasts the righteous and the wicked. Leaders, take note because the difference between the two seems to be where they get their counsel

GO be a wise leader and meditate on God’s Word day and night.

Foolish leader begins to listen to the wrong voices,
Results receiving counsel from the right inner circle :
    Stability, Fruitfulness and productivity

  53. 2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

The righteous are so joyful in the law and the Word of the Lord that hey meditate on it. Jesus came to fulfill the law and give us the gift of his Spirit. We can have him everywhere we go, day and night too. Our strength comes from that joy.

  54. 4 The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.

    SANTO SANTO SANTO!!!
Let us pray and seek out the prodigal and may GOD use each and everyone of us to bring them back home!!! IN JESUS NAME!!!

  55. 1Oh, the joys of those who do not follow the advice of the wicked, or stand around with sinners, or join in with mockers.

As Christians we should be able to immediately recognize bad advice, and say conversation over and leave. We must know our friends and who too trust for advice. This includes family members that are not following God.
