1 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.

  1. 1 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.

To be a fool is something that does not need to be taught or studied, it is as if natural to be a fool or to act a fool. Soooo .I repent all day long so to not act a fool……… help me JESUS!!!

  2. Verse 7 MSG “Is there anyone around to save Israel? Yes. God is around; God turns life around. Turned-around Jacob skips rope, turned-around Israel sings laughter.” This verse made me think about the song “When I Think About The Lord”:

When I Think about the Lord,
How He saved me, how He raised me,
How He filled me, with the Holy Ghost.
How He healed me, to the uttermost.

When I Think about the Lord,
How He picked me up and turned me around,
How He placed my feet on solid ground

    It makes me wanna shout,
    Hallelujah,
    Thank you JESUS,
LORD, your worthy, of all the glory, and all the honor,
    And all the praise…

  3. 6. You laugh at the counsel of the poor, the needy, the troubled who put their trust in God. You try to take away their only hope, but the Eternal is a strong shelter in the heaviest storm. The Voice

“Where is the hope? I meet millions who tell me that they feel demoralized by the decay around us. Where is the hope? The hope that each of us have is not in who governs us, or what laws are passed, or what great things that we do as a nation. Our hope is in the power of God working through the hearts of people, and that’s where our hope is in this country; that’s where our hope is in life.”
    – Charles Colson

  4. 1 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.

2 The Lord looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God.

Lord I pray that there will never be a day where I act out. Lord help me to stay riteous and pure in all my ways. A fool is nothing to desire, in fact it is when you lack knowledge and all I need from you is wisdom and guidance. I pray that our fire inside of us will kindle and you add the flame to it and we just go crazy for you! AMEN

  5. “Don’t they know anything, all these impostors? Don’t they know they can’t get away with this— Treating people like a fast-food meal over which they’re too busy to pray?”
    ‭‭Psalm‬ ‭14:4‬ ‭MSG‬‬

LORD, cleanse us of all unrighteousness. Let us be sensitive to Your voice and be obedient and what You have called us to do. But it’s always put the things of Your kingdom first. Let us rejoice in working with the lost, not see it as a community service errand that we have to rush and do so we can go do what we want. LORD, help us to be willing, compassionate servants, putting You first. In Jesus name.

  6. Does a fool know hes a fool before he is saved? It wasnt until i got the Holy Ghost before i noticed all the sin i was committing, all the conviction i was feeling. 2 The Lord looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God. It wasnt until then i understood. Until i recieved knowledge. So i praise the Lord for giving me the will power to GO and help these ones acting like a “fool”. To spread his love, his peace, and let him shine through me. 4 Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge? who eat up my people as they eat bread, and call not upon the Lord. As a worker for God i can only pray and sew the seed i have been giving.
    God bless you all.

  7. “Terror will grip them, for God is with those who obey him.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭14:5‬ ‭NLT‬‬

“The wicked frustrate the plans of the oppressed, but the LORD will protect his people.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭14:6‬ ‭NLT‬‬

  8. 5 There were they in great fear: for God is in the generation of the righteous.

Is God the God of this generation? It is vital that we put God first and teach our children and every generation to come to do the same. Teach them that God heals, delivers, and He is the God of their salvation. We need God in us as the majority and the only way that will happen is for us to be witnesses of Him and make disciples.

Let us GO Witness to someone today!

  9. 2 God sticks his head out of heaven. He looks around. He’s looking for someone not stupid— one man, even, God-expectant, just one God-ready woman.

We must be ready at all times. God is always looking at us from heaven but what does he see when he looks down at me? I pray that God you see a woman that is willing to be used by you, that is full heartedly walking down your path and constantly praying for this world that revelation of your glory will come and turn this world around. God was just looking for someone that was ready to go and do his work, are we ready to go do his work? What does God see when he looks down at us? Be ready at all times because we never know when God wants someone that is ready and all in for his name!

  10. (4) Will those who do evil never learn? They eat up my people like bread and wouldn’t think of praying to the Lord. (5) Terror will grip them, ford God is with those who obey him. The wicked frustrate the plans of the oppressed, but the LORD will protect his people. Psalms 14:4,5 NLT

Thank you Lord for your favor upon us. May our hearts be found faithful to You O Lord.

  11. 1 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.
2 The Lord looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God.
3 They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one

Lord let us never be in a place where when you look down from heaven to find men that would Seek you and see that we have all gone aside, let’s never become filthy men that not do good. When you look down from heaven to see if there are any that would understand and Seek You, that you would see us. If the whole world forsakes you, keep our hearts near you

  12. iLove to Go Blog
Psalms 14:2 KJV  The LORD looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God.

God is looking for those who are looking for Him. Wow, that’s a pretty simple statement but yet it is profound. 2 Chronicles 16:9 KJV  “For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him…”

The key to searching for and finding God is to humble ourselves, repent, and pray.
James 4:8 KJV  Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.

  13. Psalms 14:2 (KJV Strong’s)
2 The Lord looked down from heaven upon the children of men,
to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God.

There is something to be said of someone who keeps their mind on Jesus. When we realize that there is not a day that goes by that we do not need him, that we rely on him for everything, that apart from him we can do nothing, then we can truly be free.

The question that comes to mind reading this verse is “what will God find us seeking?”

    The kingdom of the world?
    The spirit or the flesh?
    The eternal or the carnal?

The scripture applies, seek and you shall find. What are you seeking for?

  14. “…and seek God.”

Common sense would dictate that if we are going to look for something, it helps if we have a sense of where to look. For example, if we have lost our keys, we may retrace our steps from the vehicle, through the yard, check the door knob, pockets, knight-stands, etc. God does not operate in this sense of a physical location; we know He is omnipresent (everywhere all the time). In Psalms 139:8 David writes “If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there.”

From Heaven to hell – that should just about cover everything and everyplace we might look for God. So, we do not have to look too far to find God. He is right there – right here; right now. So, finding God and seeking God is a different; in speaking to our end goal. Why are we seeking God, for what purpose? Is our bank account empty? Maybe the doctor has some unsettling news. Or, maybe a loved one is running from God. Why seek?

First, I believe we must understand and fully accept that ALL we need is God. Everything (literally) revolves around God. Without Him, there is nothing; we are nothing. We must then understand the fulfillment of that need is in God only; not money, friends, family or spouse. We seem to desire so many more visible and more immediate things that it’s hard to understand how deeply we need God. Our soul craves God. We long for Him because we were created for Him, and when we honestly and humbly recognize the importance of this need, we are then ready to seek God.

We tend not to seek God when our lives are comfortable. If our temporal needs are met, we imagine that we can take care of ourselves and we forget about God. For this reason, God lets us suffer some deprivation. The needs that go unmet may differ from person to person, but each of us will have our hearts broken in some ways. We will be taught to do without some of the things we need, in order to learn that what we were not created to enjoy this world. Only God can perfectly satisfy our hunger and our thirst, and He is always leading us in the direction of satisfaction in Him. He is teaching us, if we have the hearts to learn, that He is the only thing we can’t do without.

  15. “You who do evil make it hard for poor people to do what they plan to do. But the Lord is their place of safety. How I pray that the One who saves Israel will come out of Zion! Then the Lord will bless his people with great success again. So let the people of Jacob be filled with joy! Let Israel be glad!”
    ‭‭Psalm‬ ‭14:6-7‬ ‭NIRV‬‬

Thankful that the Lord is our place of safety.

  16. 5 Terror will grip them, for God is with those who obey him. (NLT)

Ever feel like you’re alone and trying to figure out where God is? Well God is the same yesterday, today and forever so He hasn’t “gone” anywhere. What we should consider though is if we’ve been obedient. Have we sought God in every decision we’ve been making? Have we daily sought Him to see how we can serve and please Him? To me this verse tells us if we aren’t obedient to God then we are just like every other sinner that God is glancing over. He’s looking for those who get His attention and are ready and willing to obey Him so He can give them undivided love and attention, to be with them and establish relationship with them.

  17. “The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭14:1‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Reading this verse today, I couldn’t help but hear the question; “what’s in your heart?”. We can all ‘walk the walk’ or ‘talk the talk’ but it’s what’s in our heart that will save or break us. Yes, we can see the fruit of others as well as their actions, but only God can know someone’s heart.

Proverbs 4:23 Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.

So on this day all about hearts, I pray that we realize everything comes from the heart. The good and the bad.

Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: Psalms 139:23

  18. Only fools say in their hearts, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, and their actions are evil; not one of them does good! Terror will grip them, for God is with those who obey him. The wicked frustrate the plans of the oppressed, but the Lord will
    protect his people.
    Psalms 14:1‭, ‬5‭-‬6 NLT

GOD is searching for those who truly love him who obey him and follow his law and trust him
GOD has favor for those who love him obey his law
    Psalm 5:12kjv
For thou, LORD, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield.

  19. 1 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.

2 The Lord looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God.

3 They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

4 Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge? who eat up my people as they eat bread, and call not upon the Lord.

Help us a Lord to continually seek you and to lead this world back to You. There are those who say they do not need God. Have they no knowledge yes they do. They have called upon You in the past yet seek after the pleasures of the world. Do not let anyone anything turn you from God seek Him continually lest we should also become as the world having knowledge of You and Your glory but in sin. Keep us Lord in your perfect will.

  20. 2 The Lord looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God.

What does God see when He looks down at us? Are we seeking after Him so wholeheartedly that we are getting His attention? These are questions we must ask ourselves and only we can answer them. I pray that when He looks at me He sees a woman of God striving for righteousness, seeking His hand in all that I do, and willing to be used by Him. But once again only the actions that I make, and the decisions I choose to follow will be able to show Him that!

  21. 1 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.

When you look up this verse in the Bible the words “There is” are italics, that means they were added in. Reading the verse without those words gives it a whole new meaning.

The fool hath said in his heart, no God.

    No, God.

The fool in his heart tells God no.

    And his actions prove it.

  22. God did bring salvation out Israel through his Son Jesus Christ, and he took our captivity captive! We shall be glad!

7 Oh that the salvation of Israel were come out of Zion! when the Lord bringeth back the captivity of his people, Jacob shall rejoice, and Israel shall be glad.

    “Be Glad”……………..

  23. 2 The Lord looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God.

God is always looking to see who is seeking His face. He wants to know who Is serious about serving Him. He’s standing ready to forgive, ready to use and readyto bless those who will reach out to him and make themselves available.

  24. 1 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.
We cannot live our lives like a pagan and not expect God not to judge us for our sins. We need to repent everyday and keep God in our lives, in our homes and in our schools. We have to do it for our children!

  25. Matthew Henry Commentary: The sinner here described is an atheist, one that saith there is no Judge or Governor of the world, no Providence ruling over the affairs of men. He says this in his heart. He cannot satisfy himself that there is none, but wishes there were none, and pleases himself that it is possible there may be none; he is willing to think there is none. This sinner is a fool; he is simple and unwise, and this is evidence of it: he is wicked and profane, and this is the cause. The word of God is a discerner of these thoughts. No man will say, There is no God, till he is so hardened in sin, that it is become his interest that there should be none to call him to an account. The disease of sin has infected the whole race of mankind.

We must let our light shine in this unbelieving generation and show them the love of God through our actions and speech. Invite them to church to feel his presence and love and introduce them to the Jesus we know.

  26. Psalms 14:2 (AMP)
“The LORD has looked down from heaven upon the children of men To see if there are any who understand (act wisely), Who (truly) seek after God, (longing for His wisdom and guidance).”

As God looks down from heaven upon us today, what will he find us doing seeking for…
Will He find us acting wisely and seeking for His wisdom and guidance in our lives today?
    or
Will he find us acting foolishly and seeking for the things (pleasures) of this world today?

  27. 3 They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

We all have sinned. But thanks be to God that he is merciful to forgive us. Thank you Jesus for the blood you shed on calvary for my sins.

  28. 5 There were they in great fear: for God is in the generation of the righteous.

6 Ye have shamed the counsel of the poor, because the Lord is his refuge.

7 Oh that the salvation of Israel were come out of Zion! when the Lord bringeth back the captivity of his people, Jacob shall rejoice, and Israel shall be glad.

  29. 1 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.

2 The Lord looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God.

7 Oh that the salvation of Israel were come out of Zion! when the Lord bringeth back the captivity of his people, Jacob shall rejoice, and Israel shall be glad.

Oh this Passage and the comments of two Brothers made me really understand that when you pray and ask God to speak to you through the word and then also to give me understanding, he will!
I believe that God does judge us in our hearts, and a lot of time we show God that we dont believe there is a God by our actions, doing whatever we want and thinking there are no consequences, I desire to be accountable and when im not held accountable, i think well I must can do what ever and there are no consequences, maybe it didn’t come from the leader or Pastor, but Im not too far gone that I dont know when God is chastising me! I believe when God looks down at me he shakes his head, and is like WOW..but Oh that I will daily seek him, without all the time want and need and just LOVE and Gratitude!
    Thank you Jesus for Forgiveness

  30. REJOICE

7 Oh that the salvation of Israel were come out of Zion! when the Lord bringeth back the captivity of his people, Jacob shall rejoice, and Israel shall be glad.

Come out of Zion (The Church) salvation is come out of the church. The church should be a peaceful, happy place of rejoicing. Revival will come and the church shall rejoice and be glad. It is very important that the church has the proper attitude of gladness and be in continued rejoicing.

It is much better that we REJOICE over what JESUS is doing than to complain about what we have yet witnessed.

    iPraise
    iPray

  31. “They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭14:3‬ ‭KJV‬‬

It doesn’t matter how hard we work, we are not good.

“Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭51:5‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The only thing that brings us to a better place is God.

“Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.”
    ‭‭1 John‬ ‭4:7‬ ‭KJV‬‬

We must GrOw in the Love of God by spendinng more time with him and doing the things that are important to Him.

He is the only thing that brings us to “good.”

  32. 1 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.
2 The Lord looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God.

Understanding that there is a God, and He is a jealous God, will cause a person to seek His face. Unfortunately there are many people that claim that there is a God, but they themselves are not convinced enough to seek Him….

Almost sounds like they think that there is no God, but they will claim one so that if He is real, then they can go to heaven, or whatever the good place might be called…

We as the church have a mandate to tell ever living creature that there is a God, and His name is Jesus. And we must tell them of the necessity of both water baptism in Jesus’ name and the baptism of the Holy Ghost, evidenced by the speaking in other tongues, as the spirit gives utterance…. I guess that if we don’t follow this mandate, then maybe we are not fully convinced that Jesus is real….

  33. 6 Ye have shamed the counsel of the poor, because the Lord is his refuge.
Thank you Lord for a church that sees us all the same. Whether poor in mind, body, spirit, or finances, we all struggle with some part of life. I am thankful to help when needed and be available to help when asked. My heart is big because of you Lord and I’m willing and ready to help others.

  34. 5 There were they in great fear: for God is in the generation of the righteous.

6 Ye have shamed the counsel of the poor, because the Lord is his refuge.

7 Oh that the salvation of Israel were come out of Zion! when the Lord bringeth back the captivity of his people, Jacob shall rejoice, and Israel shall be glad.

  35. 1 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God.

Sometimes we look at ourselfs and think that some of things we do is ok. But we have to remind ourselfs there are many who look to us and see out every move friends/family etc. Were put in our place for various reasons and Gods trying to raise us up to use us mightly. I pray that he uses me the way hes trying to use me and that i become stronger in him. I couldnt imagine not doing the works of God and doing something else. After all he deserves our every praise. Tyj

  36. 2 The Lord looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God.

I pray that God uses us as the mighty men and women hes raising up to seek those in need and to raise us up to become stronger in him.

  37. 3But no, all have turned away; all have become corrupt. No one does good,
    not a single one!

Yes its easy for God to look down upon us. From the heavens he can see the whole world. Just like flying on a plane, you can see the curvature of the earth, but you cant see whats going on below you because people, cars and trees are so far away.

Some think, the farther I get from God, the harder it is for him to see me. The farther I get away from my parents, pastor or authority, the harder it is for them to see me. It may seem like we are just running away from God. But with God, nothing is to far away. Yes, we all sin intentional or unintentional, because its our nature. None of us are deserving to be saved, but God has mercy and grace upon us, that he sees good in every one of us.

  38. 7. Oh that the salvation of Is’ ra- el were come out of Zi’-on ! when the LORD bringeth back the captivity of his people, Ja’cob shall rejoice, and Is’-ra-el shall be glad. Thank you for your Holy Bible the Word.

  39. The Lord looks down from heaven on the entire human race; he looks to see if anyone is truly wise, if anyone seeks God.
    Psalms 14:2 NLT

This is the wisdom that counts. That one would seek God. God has all the answers to life’s dilemas and situations. He is the author and creator of it all. When we find God we find true life and the key to living in victory.

  40. 1 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.
2 The Lord looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God.

When people that have gone thru so many bad things might think we’ll God dosent exist he has left me he has no power there for this has happen to me but when God looks at that person he might think that well I or she didn’t get what I wanted to show them they didn’t get the lesson they don’t want to grow for their good and that person might grow bitter and completely leave God’s will

  41. 2The LORD looks down from heaven on the children of man,
to see if there are any who understand, who seek after God.

God is still looking and observing us for those who will seek after him. Fools think he’s not watching or doesn’t exist. Those who fear him know what the judgment of the fool is. We are to seek first the kingdom of heaven and all the things that we need will be given to us.

  42. 2 The Lord looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God.

Lord here I am!!! I seek you daily Lord because I know I can’t do nothing alone!!! From day 1 I believed in you, I never doubted that you existed because how can everything in the world just be so perfect. From how you created each of us different, we each have a different fingerprint, how you created each animal for a purpose, how you keep the ocean apart from the land, how the clouds stay up in heaven, how the wind moves the leaves of the trees, how from the moment were born we know how to breathe on our own. You are just AMAZING LORD!!!!

“I love those who love me; And those who diligently seek me will find me.” Proverbs 8:17
    AMEN!!! Its a Promise!!!!

  43. The Lord looks down from heaven on all mankind to see if there are any who understand, any who seek God.
    Psalm 14:2 NIV

Yes there is people that understand and seek God and that is us the church, and it is our duty to preach and teach the Gospel to this world. Why because we have received revelation and understanding of His Word.

  44. Ye have shamed the counsel of the poor, because the Lord is his refuge.
    (Psalms 14:6 KJV)

The Lord instructs us to care for the poor and the fatherless. Those whom bless them bless the Lord. God is their refuge and place of peace. When we show the charity of the Lord we display Jesus to them.

  45. The Lord looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God.

The Lord is looking for those that seek Him, seek His face. Let us seek God like never before. Let us be hungry for His presence!

  46. 1 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.

God has been so GOOD to me. It saddens my heart when people say there is no God. They have never experienced the awesomeness of our Mighty God!!

  47. 6 Ye have shamed the counsel of the poor, because the Lord is his refuge.

7 Oh that the salvation of Israel were come out of Zion! when the Lord bringeth back the captivity of his people, Jacob shall rejoice, and Israel shall be glad.

  48. Psalm 14:1 amp English Bible , The (empty- headed) fool has said in his heart. There is no God. They are corrupt. They have done abominable deeds; there is none that does good or right; Roman’s. 3:10 is saying. As it is written, None is righteous , just and truthful and upright and conscientious, no, not one. It hurts my heart that people think this . God please change their minds and their hearts
