Psalm 15

1 Lord, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell in thy holy hill?

2 He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart.

3 He that backbiteth not with his tongue, nor doeth evil to his neighbour, nor taketh up a reproach against his neighbour.

4 In whose eyes a vile person is contemned; but he honoureth them that fear the Lord. He that sweareth to his own hurt, and changeth not.

5 He that putteth not out his money to usury, nor taketh reward against the innocent. He that doeth these things shall never be moved.

  1. If anyone ask me a question and i dont know the answer to it i explain to them honestly and tell them i dont know, then i turn to scripture. I pray everyday that i will not give out false information about anything, especially the word. 2 He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart.
When i read chapters like this one it drives me to GO and SHOW someone else the truth about the Lord. 3 He that backbiteth not with his tongue, nor doeth evil to his neighbour, nor taketh up a reproach against his neighbour.
Its like a new seed to sew, a new word to share. 4 In whose eyes a vile person is contemned; but he honoureth them that fear the Lord. He that sweareth to his own hurt, and changeth not.
Words cannot express how good God is, im just gonna show others what he can do. How good he makes you feel just by hearing the word, and mircles by the word.
I hope everyone has an amazing day God bless you all

  2. Verse 2 MSG “Walk straight, act right, tell the truth.” Simple right??? Same verse NKJV “He who walks uprightly, And works righteousness, And speaks the truth in his heart”. So we must walk, act (work) and tell (speak) truth no matter what comes our way or what situation we face, God’s truth prevails. The “walk” is daily, the “work” is an action to GO and “tell” what we know. John 14:6 AMP says “Jesus said to him, “[a]I am the [only] Way [to God] and the [real] Truth and the [real] Life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.”

  3. 2. “Walk straight, act right, tell the truth.

3-4. “Don’t hurt your friend, don’t blame your neighbor; despise the despicable.

    5. “Keep your word even when it costs you, make an honest living, never take a bribe. “You’ll never get blacklisted if you live like this.” MSG

Growing up in Mississippi, this is what was referred to as “good ole common sense and clean livin’.”

It doesn’t seem to be very common any more.

  4. 1 Lord, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell in thy holy hill?

2 He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart.

3 He that backbiteth not with his tongue, nor doeth evil to his neighbour, nor taketh up a reproach against his neighbour.

4 In whose eyes a vile person is contemned; but he honoureth them that fear the Lord. He that sweareth to his own hurt, and changeth not.

5 He that putteth not out his money to usury, nor taketh reward against the innocent. He that doeth these things shall never be moved.

Who shall be the one who follows Christ and be part of his beautiful body? It says he that walketh uprightly, and worketh riteouness, and speaketh the truth. God wants us to do all these things in his name! We need to tell the truth to everybody. There are people all around glancing and turning their heads toward the church for a safe heaven. This also relates to Psalms 14 God is looking for someone to do his beautiful work. When we are used we can win souls for the kingdom! I need you Jesus, in whatever happens to me or what ever I do I cry out your name because I know that you will satisfy. THANK YOU JESUS!

  5. Lord, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell in thy holy hill?

2 He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart.

  6. 2 He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart. KJV
““Walk straight, act right, tell the truth.”
    ‭‭Psalm‬ ‭15:2‬ ‭MSG‬‬

  7. 1 Lord, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell in thy holy hill?

2 He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart.

3 He that backbiteth not with his tongue, nor doeth evil to his neighbour, nor taketh up a reproach against his neighbour.

The writer ask who will dwell in the house of God? Who will be on his holy hill? Only the ones who live right. Only the ones who walk right and talk right. Only the ones who don’t take up reproach against their neighbors. Only those who don’t gossip and back bite and who live right. These are goals that we should abide by and live by if we want to be right with God.

  8. 1 Lord, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell in thy holy hill?

2 He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart.

3 He that backbiteth not with his tongue, nor doeth evil to his neighbour, nor taketh up a reproach against his neighbour.

4 In whose eyes a vile person is contemned; but he honoureth them that fear the Lord. He that sweareth to his own hurt, and changeth not.

5 He that putteth not out his money to usury, nor taketh reward against the innocent. He that doeth these things shall never be move

  9. (1) Who may worship in youe sancturary, Lord?
Who may enter your presence on your holy hill?
    (2) Those who lead blameless lives and DO what is rigth, speaking the truth from sincere hearts. Psalms 14: 1,2 NLT

Meditating upon these verses I examine my life and realized how far I am from living after this core values, which are the attributes of a new man in Christ.

  10. 2 “Walk straight, act right, tell the truth.

Walk in the path he was for you, act like a disciple how Jesus would, speak his word to everyone you know and be a light for him. God tells us simple rules that every person should know as a child, so why is it so hard for us to follow? People let this world take them on the wrong path, our flesh to act another ways, and speak what the world wants to hear. We can’t fall into sin because that’s what everyone in the world is doing! We are not of this world we our Gods children and we stand out for him, we need to let our light shine in this dark world! I pray that God you would help lead me daily in the right path towards you, let me act as a servent for you that shines, and everywhere I go let me tell the truth your truth!

  11. Psalms 15:5 (ESV Strong’s)
5 who does not put out his money at interest
and does not take a bribe against the innocent.
He who does these things shall never be moved.

Purity, honesty, hatred of sin, forgiveness and compassion for the down and out. These attributes allow entrance into the presence of almighty God.

It’s not money, talent, prestige, or fame. These are what the world looks for so you can attend their club.

Jesus wants us to tell the truth and refuse to harm those who have harmed us.

The ways of the Lord are above us and not our ways. But they are ways of righteousness. I am thankful that goodness and not a celebrity status are what is required to go before the King.

  12. Am I good enough to go to Heaven?

1 Lord, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell in thy holy hill?

Am I good enough to go to Heaven? No.

Many people believe they only need to be a good person to make it to Heaven. Is being good simply not being bad? Is being good qualified by the following? We haven’t murdered anyone. We don’t steal. We don’t curse, too much. We only lie when necessary. We are not a drug addict. We don’t cheat. We rarely gamble. Our conscience is clear because we aren’t nearly as bad as the people we read about or see on television. We are just like everyone else we know and we can’t all be going to hell, right?

If we do more good things than bad things, God will probably let us into heaven. This kind of thinking will reserve our place in hell. There is no amount of “good” that we can do that will pay for our sins. We have all sinned and payment must be made for our crimes; whether we go to hell or whether we repent of our sins and call on the name of the Jesus for forgiveness – these are the only two options. There are no good deeds that we can do on our own that will erase the sins that we have committed. The Lord shed His blood for our sins. He specifically came to this earth as a man to pay the price for our sins. God came to earth robed in the flesh of Jesus to save us from the guilt of past sins and from the power of sin over our lives.

  13. Lord, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell in thy holy hill?

2 He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart.

He that doeth these things shall never be moved
Were given task’s everyday, even when we feel we dont see it!! Some good and some hard. And sometimes its just there to test us,so God can see what well do or were well go!! Hes rising up his army and preparing us. Our hunger for God shouldnt be just to show infront of people then walk out doing the same thing were doing before. But everyday when we wake up when going to work cleaning talking to a fellow neighbor and so fourth. Its comming to a time that Jesus himself wants to see if what we say well do,if how well say it our actions will come to life. There are people all over inside and out whom are watching our every move, the way we speak walk and act and that will show who we are and wheather they really wanna come back. Our job as Gods people to wanting to change who we are and how we once lived we should also vision the lost as how we once were to put ourselfs in there shoes. The pain the hurt there going through the struggles they should be why were reaching out and to drive more and more to God. I pray Jesus uses us the way he wants to,that he helps us understand the differences changes us spiritually and emotionally i pray Jesus that you mold us into the soul saving warrior the fighter that you want us to be. I pray my 2017_ and so fourth to be nothing for you and to be stronger in you!!Because there is no God greater then you Jesus!!!

  14. “He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭15:2‬ ‭KJV‬‬

To be Christ like….. walk truth, Live truth and speak truth. Simple.

  15. 2 “Walk straight, act right, tell the truth. (MSG)

Simple enough right?! My mind wonders then, why is this so hard for most of us? Well verse 5 in the MSG says to keep your word “…even when it costs you.” And there the answer lies…. Too many aren’t willing to sacrifice. There’s a song about hunger that says, “I’ll give my all. It doesn’t matter, the price I’d have to pay or the time I’d have to wait.” My all for You Jesus no matter the cost. Let’s GO and DO.

  16. He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart.
what this verse means is speaking the truth of are Lord Jesus Christ we need to show others who Jesus is and the word from him.
    Go with Jesus Amen

  17. Get planted on the Rock.

Amazing God. Wow. After all that I have done in my life to fail God. The times that I have spoken evil of my brethren, and taken advantage of a situation. For the times that I’ve lied and turned away a rebuke in my life. I have sinned and come short of God’s mercy and grace. Yet with a humble and repentant heart and soul, I have asked for forgivness. And through that and his blood that washes me. I am free to dance. I am free to live again. Through God I can do all things. Thank you Jesus.

  18. Who may worship in your sanctuary, Lord ? Who may enter your presence on your holy hill? Those who lead blameless lives and do what is right, speaking the truth from sincere hearts. Those who refuse to gossip or harm their neighbors or speak evil of their friends.
    Psalms 15:1‭-‬3 NLT
When talking to your friends or about gospel of Christ and a question is ask and you don’t. Know the answer it’s best to tell them i will get back to you with then fast and pray about because i want to walk in truth

  19. iLove to Go Blog
Psalms 15:1-2 KJV  A Psalm of David. LORD, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell in thy holy hill?  (2)  He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart.

This scripture tells us how to get (and stay) in the Presence of the Lord. The answer is to walk every day in repentance. We must be after the things of the Spirit and refuse the things of the flesh. The flesh directly opposes the will of the Spirit. To walk in the flesh, is to walk out of the tabernacle of the Lord and walk down His Holy Hill. Turn around and repent, and start walking back up that hill. Also remember, it’s alot easier to walk down hill then to walk up hill.

  20. Those who despise flagrant sinners, and honor the faithful followers of the Lord , and keep their promises even when it hurts. Those who lend money without charging interest, and who cannot be bribed to lie about the innocent. Such people will stand firm forever.
    Psalms 15:4‭-‬5 NLT

When I read this: it reminded me of a time when I was a back biter, Liar, and a thief. That was such a long time ago. I always thought of myself as a good person, but after this past year; I realized that even as a good person. I am not going to heaven on merit. I have to walk in the grace and love of God daily. Spread the news of His everlasting salvation. There is no such thing as once saved. I love God and the word: I just have to trust that He is always with me and ask for His forgiveness daily.

  21. 1 Lord, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell in thy holy hill?

2 He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart.

The Lord is looking for people to walk uprightly and enter into his Tabernacle. Some of our righteousness is in our dealings with people; how we receive and treat other people

  22. AMP vs 4 –
    He keeps his word even to his own disadvantage and does not change it [for his own benefit];

There are many people changing the word of God to fit their needs and the lifestyle that they wish to pursue. However, this chapter tells us that a person who keeps the Word of the Lord, even when it is not palatable, that person can dwell in the holy hill of the Lord.

No one ever said it would be easy, we are told to pick up our cross and follow Him. The cross was never easy to carry, nor will it be for us.

    Who is Our Neighbor
God is looking for someone who going to keep His commandments. Yet it goes deeper than that. We can keep commandments and appear to be holy yet there is always more to our growth in God and our dwelling in the tabernacle.

A scholar asked Jesus a question
    Message Version 10:25-37
25 Just then a religion scholar stood up with a question to test Jesus. “Teacher, what do I need to do to get eternal life?”

26 He answered, “What’s written in God’s Law? How do you interpret it?”

27 He said, “That you love the Lord your God with all your passion and prayer and muscle and intelligence—
and that you love your neighbor as well as you do yourself.”He said, “That you love the Lord your God with all your passion and prayer and muscle and intelligence—and that you love your neighbor as well as you do yourself.”

28 “Good answer!” said Jesus. “Do it and you’ll live.”

29 Looking for a loophole, he asked, “And just how would you define ‘neighbor’?”

Jesus then continues with the story of the Good Samaritan.
We must not allow anything to keep us from abiding in the tabernacle
So who is our neighbor. Is it not any one and everyone we come in contact with. How are we treating them whether they be of like faith or another faith or no faith. Are we killing our neighbors with our actions, our tongue, our motives. How can we GO if we do not carry peace every where we GO? Who shall abide in the tabernacle. Neighbors!

  24. “Who may worship in your sanctuary, LORD? Who may enter your presence on your holy hill? Those who lead blameless lives and do what is right, speaking the truth from sincere hearts.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭15:1-2‬ ‭NLT‬‬

So many time we ask the Lord how to make it to heaven, when it lies right here in the scriptures. We have to walk right, talk right, and live right. Sounds pretty simple right? So why do we struggle so much to do so? Maybe because we see what the world is doing all around us and it seems easier just to follow them or maybe because there are some things we are not willing to give up to live for Him. But eternity is too long and hell is too hot to be playing around with sin, we were called to a greater purpose! Not to be in sin like the world but to change the world!!

  25. 1 Lord, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell in thy holy hill?

2 He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart.

Speaketh the truth in his heart.
Continually speaks the truth in his heart.

If we continually speak the truth into our hearts we leave no room for anything else. Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. Fill your heart with truth and you will speak that truth. That truth will flow from you.

  26. 4 Those who despise flagrant sinners,
and honor the faithful followers of the Lord,
and keep their promises even when it hurts. NLT

  27. 1 Lord, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell in thy holy hill?
2 He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart.
3 He that backbiteth not with his tongue, nor doeth evil to his neighbour, nor taketh up a reproach against his neighbour.

This is what we must strive for each day, we must strive for perfection. And daily we must repent for our shortcomings and failures. Our tongues can get us into a lot of trouble! But even days when we feel we haven’t sinned, we may have failed in or mission or commission. Thank God he made provision for us if and when we fall short of his expectations.

  28. MAINTAINING SALVATION

1 Lord, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell in thy holy hill?

The psalmist understands the importance of MAINTAINING SALVATION. A deep strong desire to live in harmony with the WORD and WILL of GOD

This chapter is dedicated to protecting our integrity and maininting our life in the Kingdom of GOD.

    iRepent
    iPraise
    iPray
    iWork
    iGive
    iReap

  29. 2 He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart.

3 He that backbiteth not with his tongue, nor doeth evil to his neighbour, nor taketh up a reproach against his neighbour.

4 In whose eyes a vile person is contemned; but he honoureth them that fear the Lord. He that sweareth to his own hurt, and changeth not.

  30. 4 who despises a vile person
    but honors those who fear the Lord;
who keeps an oath even when it hurts,
and does not change their mind; NIV

We need to fear God all the time even when we go through some things we still need to obey God and his word when we go through those trials!

  31. 1 Who may worship in your sanctuary, LORD?

For those who don’t know the Lord, this will be a question they may ask. Some may think, I’m not worthy to be in his presence, not worthy to worship or praise him, or worthy to be saved. Yes, we have sin in our lives, but God forgives us for our many sins. For we all are worthy to God, he wants us all to enter into his presence with praise & worship!

  32. 2 He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart.

3 He that backbiteth not with his tongue, nor doeth evil to his neighbour, nor taketh up a reproach against his neighbour.

This should all strive to live righteous and holy life.

  33. 1 Lord, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell in thy holy hill?

2 He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart.

Lord give me the knowledge to walk in righteousness and speak the truth. Let me be a witness to your living word. Walk by your side at all times.

  34. 1 Lord, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell in thy holy hill?

2 He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart.

3 He that backbiteth not with his tongue, nor doeth evil to his neighbour, nor taketh up a reproach against his neighbour.

4 In whose eyes a vile person is contemned; but he honoureth them that fear the Lord. He that sweareth to his own hurt, and changeth not.

5 He that putteth not out his money to usury, nor taketh reward against the innocent. He that doeth these things shall never be moved.

Wow, we are in a question and answer section with David. Who Lord? Some questions are yes or no questions? You either are or not. There is no grey area with God. You either walk righteously or you don’t, speak truth or not, either backbite and do evil or not.

There’s not halfway saved, almost Christian, you either do these things or you don’t.

  35. Psalms 15:1 (NLT)
“Who may worship in your sanctuary, LORD? Who may enter your presence on your holy hill?”

You can’t worship the Lord in the sanctuary or enter His presence any old way you want to. God requires certain things from us…
To walk right, To act right, To tell the truth, Don’t backbite or gossip, Don’t hurt your neighbor or speak bad of your neighbor, Honor those who follow the Lord, Keep your promises, Lend money without interest…

Why is it that we think we can have a bad attitude, tell a little white lie, gossip about someone, break our promise, etc… and still enter into the presence of a Holy God. The thing is WE CAN’T!

So REPENT! Clean up your act and make your heart right. Then you can enter into His presence and worship Him.

  36. 2-5
Note the blameless lifestyle is characterized as sincere honest avoids malicious speech does nothing to harm or discredit another avoids vile people honors and keeps company with those who fear God keeps promises whatever the cost lends to the needy and charges no interest

  37. 1 Lord, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell in thy holy hill? What must I do to live for you Lord? I will walk right, talk right, and live right for you Lord so I can make heaven my home.

  38. 1 Lord, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell in thy holy hill?

2 He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart.

3 He that backbiteth not with his tongue, nor doeth evil to his neighbour, nor taketh up a reproach against his neighbour.

Follow the Lord and be obedient, dont lie, and if you cant say anything good keep your mouth closed, we all struggle and have hard times, it doesn’t benefit anyone to misuse or hurt the people that need God just as much or even worse than we do! We all do wrong who are we to cast harsh judgment or punishment on others!

  39. 2The one whose walk is blameless,
    who does what is righteous,
    who speaks the truth from their heart;

No one is perfect or blameless without sin yet we are called to walk with Him. With him we are able to walk in his righteous holiness. When acrobats walk on a tight rope all they rely on is faith, balance and focus. Much like our walk with Jesus we need these things and when we are lacking their is danger of falling. When things like doubt, fear, or discouragement distract us then we could fall back into the water like Peter did after walking out in faith on the water with Jesus. When we walk on God’s word he will straighten our paths and guide us in his truth.

  40. 5 He that putteth not out his money to usury, nor taketh reward against the innocent. He that doeth these things shall never be moved.

Doeth these things HE SHALL NOT BE MOVED!

  41. Psalms 15:1-3 Lord who shall abide in thy tabernacle? Who shall dwell in thy holy hill? He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart. He that backbiteth not with his tongue, nor doeth evil to his neighbor, nor taketh up a reproach against his neghbour.

  42. 2 He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart.

Whole walking for the Lot we have to keep our eyes on him and not look back or down me straight and dont look or pay attention to a thrymay say forget what they have to say about you because when your standing infront of God you will be able to tell him Lord I have stand straight in you oath till the end.

  43. 2 He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart.

Whole walking for the Lot we have to keep our eyes on him and not look back or down me straight

  44. The answer is simple for those who want to abide with the Lord. Follow after his word. When you obey the word of God, you have access to the many blessings God has.

  45. Psalm 15

1 Lord, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell in thy holy hill?

What can be added to such straight clear response of who will abaide with God.. We should make this part of our prayers to be such being decribed and also make it a measure by which we live our lives. Are we aligned to the Word of God? Are we living righteous lives? Are we speaking truth and not backbiting..? May God daily mold us to his own image and character

  46. The one whose walk is blameless, who does what is righteous, who speaks the truth from their heart;
    Psalm 15:2 NIV

Living in a society that tells you what you want to hear because they are afraid to hurt our feelings it is always a blessing to meet someone who is not only righteous but also is honest. Someone who is wise in presenting the truth is someone to keep around in your life.

  47. ““Don’t hurt your friend, don’t blame your neighbor; despise the despicable. Keep your word even when it costs you, make an honest living, never take a bribe. “You’ll never get blacklisted if you live like this.””
    ‭‭Psalm‬ ‭15:3-5‬ ‭MSG‬‬

What a wonderful place to read after tonight’s scriptures on being a living sacrifice. We can’t be used if we never act the way he wants us to be used.

  48. 5 He that putteth not out his money to usury, nor taketh reward against the innocent. He that doeth these things shall never be moved.

There comes a time in our walk where we have to decide that we are not going to be moved…

  49. 1 Lord, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell in thy holy hill?

Who may live in your holy mountain Lord? We can’t be lukewarm or cold and expect to dwell with you!!! We must be consumed with that fire in our hearts and make up in our minds that were all IN!!! We can’t be dwelling with you only when we want to or when we need something but ALL the time, EVERYDAY!!! I need you Lord!!!

  50. 34. For the congregation of hypocrites shall be desolate, and fire shall consume the tabernacles of bribery. You are a Miracle worker JESUS !!!!

  51. Please excuse the one I typed in first it was from Job now for Psalm 15 : 2 He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart. The truth is in the Word !!!!

  52. He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart.(Psalms 15:2 KJV)

A man who seeks after God is upright and you can identify him by his fruit that he walks righteously in his actions. What he has sown into his heart can also be seen by the truth he speaks. What is inside of a man can be revealed by what comes from him.

  53. Psalm15:4 English amp Bible In whose eyes a vile person is despised, But he who honors those who fear the Lord (who revere and worship Him);Who swears to his own hurt and does not change. You are suppose to always fear God and never judge anyone are anything.
