Psalm 24

1 The earth is the Lord’s, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.

2 For he hath founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods.

3 Who shall ascend into the hill of the Lord? or who shall stand in his holy place?

4 He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.

5 He shall receive the blessing from the Lord, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.

6 This is the generation of them that seek him, that seek thy face, O Jacob. Selah.

7 Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.

8 Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle.

9 Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.

10 Who is this King of glory? The Lord of hosts, he is the King of glory. Selah.

  4. 6 This is the generation of them that seek him, that seek thy face, O Jacob. Selah.

There those both old and young in this generation looking for something. We must lead them to seek after the Lord.
I was at a High School choir concert last night with Devon where the kids sang sbout One Day things would be different. I could feel their hunger for sonething more as they sang. After the concert Devon mentioned the same thing to me.
This generation is seeking and we must lead them to God.
Young and old we cannot be afraid to speak to them. They are just waiting will we answer the call and lead them? The person you least expect to receive may just be waiting for your invitation to them to experience what you have in your life.

  5. “Who can climb Mount GOD? Who can scale the holy north-face? Only the clean-handed, only the pure-hearted; Men who won’t cheat, women who won’t seduce.

GOD is at their side; with GOD ’s help they make it. This, Jacob, is what happens to God-seekers, God-questers.”

LORD let us always walk in the righteousness that comes from You. Let us die daily to ourselves. Help us to fight the good fight. We can’t make it without You.

  6. Psalms 24:3-5
    3) Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD? or who shall stand in his holy temple?
    4) He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.
    5) He shall receive the blessings from the LORD, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.

  7. The Living Bible Paraphrased
    Vs 1-10
    The Triumph of the King
The psalmist ponders the preparation of those who will accompany the King of glory up Gods hill and is caught up in a vision of the triumph of a King who is God himself.

This is one of my favored worship songs we sing in church
Who is the King of Glory? The Lord strong and mighty invincible in battle. Yes open wide the gates and let the King of Glory in.
Who is this King of Glory? The Commander of all of heavens armies!
I Love To Worship The Lord!!!!!!!!!!!!

  8. 1 The earth is the Lord’s, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.

The earth is the Lords…It is all under his watchful eye. It is easy to become wrapped up in the thinking that God doesnt know our troubles, or he is allowing certain things or that people in the world seem to have more dominion than us, but this verse right here says that the fullness of the earth belongs to the world. This is our territory, not the worlds. God gave us this land to dwell in. We have the authority, the world doesnt.

  9. “Who shall ascend into the hill of the Lord? or who shall stand in his holy place? He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭24:3-4‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Give us clean hands and pure hearts.

  10. (7) Open up, ancient gates! Open up, ancient doors, and let the king of glory enter.
    (8) Who is the king of glory? The LORD, strong and mighty; the LORD, invincible in battle. 24: 7,8 NLT

Yes LORD you are my God and my Lord. To you is that I pray and lift up my voice to glorify and magnify your Holy Name(JESUS) what a wonderful name! There’s no other besides you. I dance in advance because Victor is being won you concur our enemies you give us victory. Hallelujah

  11. 1 The earth is the Lord’s, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.

2 For he hath founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods.

This verse affirms that God owns everything and is in charge of everything. When we really believe that, when that is our conviction it becomes easier to trust God and put our lives in His hands. When we understand that God is for us and he’s the ruler of the world that takes all the stress and pressure off us and we can sit back and relax knowing God is in control. ..

  12. 5-6 God is at their side; with God’s help they make it. This, Jacob, is what happens to God-seekers, God-questers. 7 Wake up, you sleepyhead city! Wake up, you sleepyhead people! King-Glory is ready to enter.

This reminds me of VBS Cave Quest and the meaning for it was to go deeper into his word and be a light in this world for him! God I want to seek after you and I pray that I will never be satisfied with what I have but want more of you everyday! It’s time to wake up! We need to wake this city up and let them know who God is! We can’t wake people up with dim lights but bright lights that we won’t hide or be ashamed of because we shine for Jesus Christ! The God of angel armies, the King of Glory, the One True living God is ready to come, we can’t hide this but let it be know to the world! Wake up people of God! Wake up Fort Worth! It’s our time to wake up and shine for Him!

  13. 4 Only the clean-handed, only the pure-hearted; Men who won’t cheat, women who won’t seduce. 5 God is at their side; with God’s help they make it. MSG
I have to pray daily Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. Psalm 51:10
Once we have a pure heart and clean out all the junk in our hearts, then God can come in and help us and guide us. God can’t dwell in our hearts with a lot of baggage and junk, that’s why we gotta have a clean heart.

  14. 1 The earth is the Lord’s, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.

We must remember this, it is not only the people sitting in church next to us that are the Lord’s, but all they that dwell in the earth…

  15. 5 He shall receive the blessing from the Lord, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.

6 This is the generation of them that seek him, that seek thy face, O Jacob. Selah.

We need to be that generation that seeks your face Jesus!

  16. The earth is the Lord’s, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.

2 For he hath founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods.

7 Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.

8 Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle.

Who is the king of glory the LORD GOD is no one can do like our GOD he save us and rise us who is the king of glory the lord mighty and battle

  17. 3 Who shall ascend into the hill of the Lord? or who shall stand in his holy place?
4 He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.

Pastor’s message on Watch Your Tongue was very much needed to remind us not to speak the negative, but speak the positive and speak life. It also is a reminder of doing our part to make heaven because our tongue can get us into trouble with God and man. Speak faith, life and encourage others… don’t rip them apart with your words which cannot be taken back.

  18. Psalms 24:5 (KJV Strong’s)

5 He shall receive the blessing from the Lord,
and righteousness from the God of his salvation.

Do you want to be Blessed? Do you want to be in the awesome presence of almighty God?

He that has clean, innocent, guiltless, and blameless hands.

A pure, clean, sincere, honest heart, mind, will, emotions.

Who has not lifted up his soul to vanity, uselessness, moral ruin, idolatry, falsehood, emptiness of speech, and lying.

Who has not sworn, promised, covenanted, deceitfully, fraud, guild, subtlety, treachery.

Integrity, character, sincerity, honesty allows us to enter into his presence where anything is possible.

  19. 6 This is the generation (description) of those who diligently seek Him and require Him as their greatest need, Who seek Your face, even [as did] Jacob. Selah. (AMP)

This generation of young people, both youth and young adults are after something to stand for, something to dedicate themselves to. Like Jacob who refused to let go until he saw change, this generation of young people seek change, they are eager to make a difference. It’s our job as children of God, to guide and narrow their search, to lead them to truth. Young people living in this world seek the things of the flesh, but as children of God we should seek the face of God like today’s chapter says by striving to be as verse 4 says: “He who has clean hands and a pure heart, Who has not lifted up his soul to what is false, Nor has sworn [oaths] deceitfully.” (AMP) Realize the greatest need of our lives, the greatest need of this world is Him. As an old song says, “Jesus is the answer for the world today. Above Him there’s no other, Jesus is the way.”

  20. GO IN VICTORIOUS POSTURE

7 Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.
8 Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle.

JESUS has not only promised us VICTORY, he has given us VICTORY over satan and sin.

1Corinthians 15:57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

1John 5:4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.

VICTORIOUS POSTURE is upright, head up and walking confident. A posture with the head down typically represents failure or defeat.

Lamentations 2:10 The elders of the daughter of Zion sit upon the ground, and keep silence: they have cast up dust upon their heads; they have girded themselves with sackcloth: the virgins of Jerusalem hang down their heads to the ground.

To see the LORD and HIS glory we must lift up our heads. JESUS is strong and Mighty, we may miss HIM and HIS escape or provision if our head is down.

GOD is on our side, HE is fighting for us. Lift UP your head and GO IN VICTORIOUS POSTURE.

These scriptures are amazing. The question is asked by the Psalmist and is still being asked today, “How can I enter into the Presence of the Lord?” Well, according to these scriptures you have to have clean hands, a pure heart, and a purified soul (which is the mind, will, and emotions).

God is saying he wants your body, soul, and spirit clean in order to get into His Presence. Wow, it’s a three step program. Boom.

  22. 7 Open up, ancient gates! Open up, ancient doors, and let the King of glory enter.

God wants us to open our hearts up, and he will enter and fill us with righteousness. Just like our home, when you hear the door bell or knock on the door, you go and open the door. Then you decide to let the person in depending on who it is. Our hearts may be open to God, but we have to invite him in.

Revelation 3:20 “Look! I stand at the door and knock. If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in, and we will share a meal together as friends.

  23. 8 Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle.

Hallelujah no explanation need it He is the Kind by of kings, Lord of lords, King of Glory, JESUS CHRIST MY LORD AND SAVIOR STRONG AND MIGHTY IN BATTLE!!!!

  24. 3 Who shall ascend into the hill of the Lord? or who shall stand in his holy place?

4 He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.

Watch your mouth and wash your hands!

Our words and deeds can keep us from heaven!

  25. kNOw your worth

There was an older gentleman that approached me at work a week or two ago. He was frustrated over some trials he had been going through in life and i talked to him a little.
He told me what was going on then finally asked me some scriptures about WORTH..well i told him honestly i had no scriptures about worth that id get back to him. The time passed and still i had no scriptures about “worth” he came to me and before he got the words out of his mouth i asked him to wait because i truly felt the Lord give me something to tell him.
I said, “i know you wanted something about worth and others noticing your worth, well have you ever thought to yourself am i really living righteous enough for God to open the eyes to these people in my life to truly see my worth? Am i really worthy enough to be noticed to recieve such blessings i ask for? ” i said one last thing before i left the man somewhat distraught. I said, “can you look at yourself in the mirror and ask yourself if you deserve any of this…know your worth brother then God will show others what you’re truly worth”
My night went on and i thank God for allowing me to help him kNOw his worth and know when to say no to some of the things he was doing.

4 He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.

5 He shall receive the blessing from the Lord, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.

  26. 1 The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it,
    the world, and all who live in it;

Who am I to think that something is mine in this world when everything is Gods!!!! Literally EVERYTHING even us!!!! We may think we own our own bodies but no this temple is the Lords!!! We must keep it pure, clean, holy, righteous, sanctified because we represent Him.

16 Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in your midst? 17 If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy that person; for God’s temple is sacred, and you together are that temple. 1 Cor 3:16-17

19 Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; 20 you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies. 1 Cor 6:19-20

  27. 6 This is the generation of them that seek him, that seek thy face, O Jacob. Selah.
We must be the generation to seek God. Our future generations depend on our legacy. We cannot raise lazy children and become a society hanging on the “me tree.” We must fight and believe in our future as one people serving one God.
I seek for you Lord, to know your truths, to understand your principles, and be able to teach my children correctly.

  28. 3 Who shall ascend into the hill of the Lord? or who shall stand in his holy place?

4 He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.

Clean hands and a pure heart for christians is something we should examine every day. We are to daily be regenerated and renewed in the holy ghost/ Self examination is imperative.

  29. 6 This is the generation of them that seek him, that seek thy face, O Jacob. Selah.

This generation is hungry and seeking after something to fill a void, and it’s up to us to point them in the right direction! I want to be apart of the generation that makes a difference and truly seeks after God and that starts in our churches, it starts in our youth group! Lord I pray that you would start a fire in our youth group, fill us with a passion to seek after you and boldness to stand up and make a difference!!

  30. Who may climb the mountain of the Lord ? Who may stand in his holy place? Only those whose hands and hearts are pure, who do not worship idols and never tell lies. They will receive the Lord ’s blessing and have a right relationship with God their savior.
    Psalms 24:3‭-‬5 NLT

The key to enter in his holy place is to have or keep pure hearts and hands. One may ask how can we do this? Well the answer is holiness. We are taught to be holy for He is Holy. And without it no one should see the Lord. We must intentionally and diligently seek after holiness and guard ourselves from what we allow in our lives, see and hear. Keeping oneself separate and will help you live righteous before God.

  31. Lords battle.
I love this chapter. God is strong and mighty in battle.
In other words, whatever we are going through God is bigger than
Our problems. What a good God.

  32. 8 Who is this King of glory?

The Hebrew word “glory” translated is kabod, which means “weight,” but not pounds; rather important. One could say “an argument carries weight” or “the content of that book is heavy.” Kabod also refers to the solemnity and power of God. Calling God the “King of Glory” means He is the most awesome, most powerful king and should be taken seriously.

  33. 8. Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle. 10. Who is this King of glory? The LORD of hosts, he is the King of glory. Se’-lah.

  34. This is Jacob, the generation of those who seek Him, Who seek Your face. Selah
    Psalms 24:6 NKJV

A lot of churches now days tell you to seek the blessing and to focus on seeking the blessings but they forget to show people how to seek The blessed and how to go after His heart. A lot of people want the benefits of the blessings but not what it takes to be blessed. We are that generation that should be seeking His face.

  35. 7 Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.

Selah.

JESUS IS THE KING OF GLORY

  36. 4 He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.

5 He shall receive the blessing from the Lord, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.

Oh Lord, help us to have a pure heart, clean hands, let my mouth watch what I say. Forgive me for my wrong doing. Let your mercy be upon me and my house.

  37. 4 He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.

5 He shall receive the blessing from the Lord, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.

Be pure and clean. The lord blesses those who walk in his marvelous light and never step out of the spotlight of Jesus. We need to keep ourselves clean and keep the spirit fired up within us. Our life depends on if we keep the spirit on fire and add to the flame. You can love Jesus and know his word, but if you don’t have his spirit… who are you?

  39. God created the earth and everything in it. With considering how great and powerful our God is …who is worthy of standing in his presence? Those who don’t turn their hearts away from God and make false promises. He is looking for those who will have a pure and faithful heart to seek after him with clean hand. This is the generation that God is looking for. A generation that will turn themselves to God and repent that the King of Glory may come in.

  40. 7 Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.

Selah.

  41. 3 Who shall ascend into the hill of the Lord? or who shall stand in his holy place?

4 He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.

The condition of our hands and our hearts determines our location. Our desire is to be in the Holy place yet this is depending on us. God has done His part now it’s up to us to take initiative and push everything to the side and get there.

  42. Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle.

The king of glory that has saved me and raised me from the dead. Planted me on solid ground. He is the king of kings. The everlasting one.

  43. 9 Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.

You see God when you’re only focused on yourself. Lift up of your head.

  44. 5 He shall receive the blessing from the Lord, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.

You may not feel blessed all the time especially when life throws an obstacle your way but God knows what he’s doing and he will bless you abundantly if you praise him even when you don’t feel like it!

  45. 1 The earth is the Lord’s, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.

Everything is my DADDY’S!!! NOTHING IS HIDDEN FROM HIM!!!

  46. Psalm24:4 Today’s English amp Bible is saying , Who shall go up into the mountain of the Lord? Or who shall stand in His Holy Place? I must search myself daily to make sure that my hands are clean ,My heart is pure . l can’t do this without Jesus.

  47. 7 Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.
Selah.

Who is the King of Glory?

One of my favorite songs, his name is Jesus. David knew the King of Glory well. After his life changing moment, when the old prophet anointed him king. His life would never be the same. He spent the rest of his life developing the heart that God love so much about him.
Every single experience, being war, defeat, sin, what ever the case, molded this young man into a man that we should all be.

A crazy worshiper, passionate, brave, God trusting, man of God.

  48. He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.(Psalms 24:4 KJV)

Lord cover everything that you have placed in my hands and make theses hands work for the good of your kingdom. Let me have a humbled and faithful heart and a heart of peace and not a heart of war. Putting you first to love you LORD our God with all our heart, all our soul, all our mind, and all our strength.

  49. “He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭24:4‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Hands represent how we move, worship, eat, and work. Hands are used in most of our daily tasks. To keep our hands clean they must stay pure and holy. This reminds me of the holiness teaching by Raymond Woodward. He teaches on the holiness of a man being tied to his holy hand that are lifted without wrath.

“I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.”
    ‭‭1 Timothy‬ ‭2:8‬ ‭KJV‬‬

I think we can all learn from teachings on not holding on to anger so that we are clean and holy unto God.
