Psalm 37

1 Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity.

2 For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb.

3 Trust in the Lord, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.

4 Delight thyself also in the Lord: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.

5 Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.

6 And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday.

7 Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.

8 Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil.

9 For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the Lord, they shall inherit the earth.

10 For yet a little while, and the wicked shall not be: yea, thou shalt diligently consider his place, and it shall not be.

11 But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.

12 The wicked plotteth against the just, and gnasheth upon him with his teeth.

13 The Lord shall laugh at him: for he seeth that his day is coming.

14 The wicked have drawn out the sword, and have bent their bow, to cast down the poor and needy, and to slay such as be of upright conversation.

15 Their sword shall enter into their own heart, and their bows shall be broken.

16 A little that a righteous man hath is better than the riches of many wicked.

17 For the arms of the wicked shall be broken: but the Lord upholdeth the righteous.

18 The Lord knoweth the days of the upright: and their inheritance shall be for ever.

19 They shall not be ashamed in the evil time: and in the days of famine they shall be satisfied.

20 But the wicked shall perish, and the enemies of the Lord shall be as the fat of lambs: they shall consume; into smoke shall they consume away.

21 The wicked borroweth, and payeth not again: but the righteous sheweth mercy, and giveth.

22 For such as be blessed of him shall inherit the earth; and they that be cursed of him shall be cut off.

23 The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way.

24 Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the Lord upholdeth him with his hand.

25 I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.

26 He is ever merciful, and lendeth; and his seed is blessed.

27 Depart from evil, and do good; and dwell for evermore.

28 For the Lord loveth judgment, and forsaketh not his saints; they are preserved for ever: but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off.

29 The righteous shall inherit the land, and dwell therein for ever.

30 The mouth of the righteous speaketh wisdom, and his tongue talketh of judgment.

31 The law of his God is in his heart; none of his steps shall slide.

32 The wicked watcheth the righteous, and seeketh to slay him.

33 The Lord will not leave him in his hand, nor condemn him when he is judged.

34 Wait on the Lord, and keep his way, and he shall exalt thee to inherit the land: when the wicked are cut off, thou shalt see it.

35 I have seen the wicked in great power, and spreading himself like a green bay tree.

36 Yet he passed away, and, lo, he was not: yea, I sought him, but he could not be found.

37 Mark the perfect man, and behold the upright: for the end of that man is peace.

38 But the transgressors shall be destroyed together: the end of the wicked shall be cut off.

39 But the salvation of the righteous is of the Lord: he is their strength in the time of trouble.

40 And the Lord shall help them, and deliver them: he shall deliver them from the wicked, and save them, because they trust in him.

  1. 7 Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.

8 Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil.

9 For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the Lord, they shall inherit the earth.

Although we see others around us being blessed we cannot give up on God and His blessings for us. It has been prophesied over us many times that we will have years of plenty. We must wait upon the Lord but also seek diligently for the blessing. It is said that you can’t win the lottery without buying a ticket. We cannot win souls without outreach. We cannot be winners if we aren’t willing to win souls for Jesus. The Lord expects so much from us, but we must remain mighty warriors for Him. Lord let me be a light to someone today.

  2. I Love To Worship The Lord
Trust in The Lord and Do Good
David teaches believers how to survive in the land of the wicked. A series of proverbs instructs us giving way to promise that the wicked will be pinshed . God upholds the just despite the intent of the wicked to harm them
    Don’t fret-trust in The Lord
    Don’t be envious-do good
    Fret-enjoy your blessings
Be angry- Delight in The Lord
    Fret- commit way to God
    Trust in him
    Be still before the. God
    Wait patiently for him

  3. 7 Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.

How do we find rest? We find rest in God when we pray through the Holy Ghost.

  4. Psalms 37:1-7

These scriptures tell us not to fret because of evildoers or be envious against the workers of iniquity because soon they will be cut down, but as a child of God, we are to Trust in The Lord, Delight ourselves in The Lord, Commit our ways to The Lord, and Rest in The Lord.

I was thinking about our GrOw sign on the platform as I read these verses, GO pray, GO sing, GO love, GO edify, Go tell, etc…
These scriptures tell us to GO Trust, GO Delight, GO Commit, and GO Rest in the LORD.

    GO!

  5. 40 And the Lord shall help them, and deliver them: he shall deliver them from the wicked, and save them, because they trust in him.

I trusted in the LORD and He delivered me out of the snares of bondage. If I had not of trusted in Him then I believe I would still be in that pit of despair and in heavy shackles. LORD, You have liberated me!!! Thank You, Jesus

  6. 32 The wicked watcheth the righteous, and seeketh to slay him.

The enemy seeks to get rid of God’s children. He has set up evil plans to turn you away from God. Fear not because our Lord is stronger. If we keep God first, we will remain victorious over the enemy.

  7. Verse 3 CEV “TRUST the Lord and live right! The land will be yours, and you will be safe.”

Verse 5 CEV “Let the Lord lead you and TRUST him to help.”

Verses 7-9 CEV “Be patient and TRUST the Lord. Don’t let it bother you when all goes well for those who do sinful things. Don’t be angry or furious. Anger can lead to sin. All sinners will disappear, but if TRUST the Lord, the land will be yours.”

Verse 34 CEV “TRUST the Lord and follow him. He will give you the land, and you will see the wicked destroyed.”

TRUST is very hard for some, when TRUST has been broken or damaged in some way. We have to remember Proverbs 3:5 AMP “TRUST in and rely confidently on the Lord with all your heart And do not rely on your own insight or understanding.” This can only be done by developing your relationship with the Lord and letting him take the wheel. Jeremiah 17:7 AMP says “Blessed [with spiritual security] is the man who believes and TRUSTS in and relies on the Lord And whose hope and confident expectation is the Lord.” If you rely on anything else, it will sadly disappoint you!

Isaiah 12:2 CEV “I TRUST you to save me, Lord God, and I won’t be afraid. My power and my strength[a] come from you, and you have saved me.”

  8. 16 A little that a righteous man hath is better than the riches of many wicked
21 The wicked borroweth, and payeth not again: but the righteous sheweth mercy, and giveth.
The Love that I posses for Jesus Christ is unconditional, at the beginning of this life changing experience I had NO idea how anyone could go back to such a horrible life compared to this love that is inside of me right now. I had NO idea how to even show my love for Christ. I thought back to a time in my life when I thought I had it all figured out. I Knew what love was when I struggled to show my appreciation for love. In my mind I thought nothing could ever show how much I Love this being not even a 10,000 dollar car or a 5,000 dollar ring. Nothing could be perfect enough to show my appreciation. I finally knew in my heart that if it was true love then it wouldn’t matter even if it was something that seemed useless or imperfect. I knew that it should be accepted if it truly came from your heart if you truly meant what you said or did. If you gave it your all, if you gave everything you had. Its the same when I started this road im on now with God. We need to give our all to show the love Jesus Christ has brought into our lives give God the Glory for every blessing we receive mmm. WE NEED TO GO Praise the Lord, Thank you Jesus, Thank you for this day were about to face God Bless you all!

  9. (23) The Lord directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives. (24) Though they stumble, they will never fall, for the Lord holds them by the hand. Psalms 37: 23,24 NLT

  10. 39 But the salvation of the righteous is of the Lord: he is their strength in the time of trouble.

40 And the Lord shall help them, and deliver them: he shall deliver them from the wicked, and save them, because they trust in hi

  11. 1 Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity.

Not everything that we consider a blessing is a blessing, it can be a distraction!!! Beware!!! It may seem that the world is being blessed and we sit and think……. how did that happen??? Why does that person get to do this or that??? But in the spiritual it has caused a distraction just so they think that they don’t need GOD!!!
Bless us with more understanding, open our spiritual eyes unto what’s really occurring in the spirit rhealm, give our heart more desire to seek YOUR WILL AND TO OBEY IT AS WELL!!! IN JESUS NAME!!! AMEN!!!

  12. Trust in the Lord, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.

4 Delight thyself also in the Lord: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.

5 Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.

6 And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday.

  13. 39 But the salvation of the righteous is of the Lord: he is their strength in the time of trouble.

40 And the Lord shall help them, and deliver them: he shall deliver them from the wicked, and save them, because they trust in him.

    In trouble GOD there
Trust in the lord and he will guide you and help he always there and he will never forsaken us

  14. 12 The wicked plotteth against the just, and gnasheth upon him with his teeth.

13 The Lord shall laugh at him: for he seeth that his day is coming.
God is not intimidated by the enemy. That does not bother or challenge Him because he is in charge. If we put our trust in God we can laugh at the wicked evil plots and plans for our lives

  15. And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday.

what this verse means to me the Jesus is the light of this world and nothing can change that and he will give us judgment the day we all enter into heaven.
Time to show are schools and are work staff about Jesus so they don’t end up in the wrong place. Go Reach in Jesus Name Amen

  16. “For the wicked will be destroyed, but those who trust in the LORD will possess the land.

The lowly will possess the land and will live in peace and prosperity.

The godly will possess the land and will live there forever.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭37:9, 11, 29‬ ‭NLT‬‬

We have a great promise that we shall inherit the earth. We will possess the land as we trust in the Lord, are humble and righteous. The Lord is going to establish his kingdom here and while with us forever. The Lord is coming soon!

“Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the old heaven and the old earth had disappeared. And the sea was also gone. And I saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven like a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. I heard a loud shout from the throne, saying, “Look, God’s home is now among his people! He will live with them, and they will be his people. God himself will be with them. He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever.””
    ‭‭Revelation‬ ‭21:1-4‬ ‭NLT‬‬

  17. iLove to Go Blog
Psalms 37:23 NLT The LORD directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives.

Some folks say, “God doesn’t care about the car you drive or the house you live in…” Well I say that’s hogwash. The Bible says he delights in “every detail” of our lives. I’ll give an example of God’s conversation with David in 2 Samuel 12:7-8 NLT Then Nathan said to David, “You are that man! The LORD, the God of Israel, says: I anointed you king of Israel and saved you from the power of Saul. (8) I gave you your master’s house and his wives and the kingdoms of Israel and Judah. And if that had not been enough, I would have given you much, much more.

I think most of us have had a pet at one point of our lives. Didn’t you want to give that little feller the best habitat possible? When you bought that fancy little wheel for your rat buddy, didn’t you think, “Wow, my lil rat boy is gonna be so excited when he sees his new toy!”

So, my question is the following, “If you know how to give good gifts for your rat buddy friends, how much more is God willing to give us things to enjoy?”

Let us get out of the poverty mentality and receive from the Lord…It’s His good pleasure to give us the Kingdom.

  18. 4 Delight thyself also in the Lord: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.
5 Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.

What are you believing God for? Is it in his will for you to have it? The word commit is in vs.5. We have to commit ourselves first to Christ, our families, and the church. Commitment is the key and the teeth of that key is trust. We have to trust God enough to being whatever it is were believing for to come to pass. So I say keep the faith ,commit and trust in God. He will not fail you.

  19. Psalms 37: 4. Delight thyself in Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart
    One of my favorite verses.
If we are delighting in God then the desires of our heart should match His ways,His Word, and His will.

We have to allow Him to be the first desire then, remembering above all else He is our first love, and all we seek should be for the building of the kingdom. Oh but He is faithful to give us many things along life’s journey You can never out give Him
That leads to this scripture you may have done all you know to do and find yourself in troubled times but again He is faithful to those who have delighted in Him. He is always there.
39 But the salvation of the righteus is of the Lord: he is their strength in the time of trouble.
    He is my strength!

  20. 5 Commit everything you do to the Lord. Trust him, and he will help you. (NLT)

Commit and trust. Everything we do should be for the glory of God, if we are truly trusting in God and allowing His will to be done (committing ourselves to Him), then it all will be to His glory. And when we’re souled out to God in such a way, He desires to help us and to bless us.

  21. You should have trust in the Lord. That he will get you through the storm pounding wind fire .
    God will hold you up

  22. 16 A little that a righteous man hath is better than the riches of many wicked.

Sometimes, statements such as this do not make any sense. How can a little be better than many? First, we must understand that we are negative people. Just as Bro Williams preached last night, humans are conditional. The human brain responds more strongly to negativity, so it affects us more easily. So, what can we do to counteract our negative bias? Little things. Big, exciting, positive stimuli are great but don’t have enough of an effect to counteract negative stimuli. If we compound lots of good—but small—things, we may be able to positively stimulate our brain and turn our day around.

Additionally, if we can learn to appreciate the little things in life; life itself will become much easier to live. Working from home, much of my weekdays, I am alone in the house. Even though I am the only one present, anyone observing would hear a lot of conversation going on. Mostly by me . . . to me. Yes, I do talk to myself more than I should. But a lot of my audible conversation is directed toward God in thanking Him for the little things He has done for me.

I have known and know very wealthy people. Their entire focus is directed to either increasing the current wealthy further or protecting their current wealth. Those without great wealthy do know or understand the stress that comes with great wealthy. Little things are bigger than we think. If we are not thankful for the little things we have each day, then God will not give us as many of the “big things” that our heart’s desire. Only when we delight in the Lord, will He give us the desires of our hearts. To delight in the Lord means to take pleasure in God’s Word and to rejoice in all the many blessings/gifts that God has already given us.

  23. 5 Commit your way to the Lord;
trust in him and he will do this:
6 He will make your righteous reward shine like the dawn,
your vindication like the noonday sun.

Commit! Commitment!! Just like how bishop was saying in leadership meeting “Hell will fight you over what God has called you to be!!! Hell is going to try to take us down.” But I AM MIGHTY!!! I know the devil knows what I’m capable of doing that’s why he’s been trying to destroy me, but its OK. Jesus is my strength, the devil knows that I’m convinced and he can’t bring me down!!!! I believe the prophecies and know that were here to reach the Hispanic community and since most Hispanics are bound to idolatry, I have dominion over that spirit because the Lord freed me from that!!! I know those “saints” and idols can’t even help themselves. I know praying the rosary will lead you nowhere, but I sure did have faith in them. But thank you Jesus because I know that all that faith they have in idols will be turned and have faith in the all mighty God our Lord Jesus!!!

  24. 25 I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.
26 He is ever merciful, and lendeth; and his seed is blessed.
27 Depart from evil, and do good; and dwell for evermore.

As I daily pray for my children, I see the Lord’s hand of blessings upon them. They may have their struggles, but I see unexpected financial blessings come for them and I’m so thankful that the Lord sees their needs too. In time, their spiritual needs will also be met and these boys will come back to this apostolic truth and be saved. In Jesus name – by his mercy and grace!

  25. 40 And the Lord shall help them, and deliver them: he shall deliver them from the wicked, and save them, because they trust in him.

Good or evil what will it be? We find paralleled in this chapter those to characteristics. One ends up with eternal judgement to hell and the other ends up with the Lord shall help them, deliver them, and save them.

It’s our choice, we must choose wisely our actions every day. We cannot serve two Masters, for we shall love the one and hate the other.

  26. GO WITH JESUS

All too often spiritual distractions are the result of the actions of others. People become fearful that one person is “getting away” with some action or activity that others are not.

We are to remain focused on JESUS. Keeping our eyes on the prize of eternal life with JESUS will keep us focused and committed. Anxiety over the actions of others is an unnecessary investment of energy. The WORD of GOD declares they will be cut down.

We are to GO WITH JESUS.

    1. TRUST in the LORD
    2. DO Good

Life and provision are promised us if we will GO WITH JESUS and TRUST HIM to judge the offender.

The apostle Paul teaches such principals in the New Testament

Romans 12:19 Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.

Stop NOW trying to get even with everyone that has wronged you and GO WITH JESUS.

    iRepent
    iPraise
    iPray
    iWork
    iGive
    iReap

  27. I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread. This verse speaks to me, for back East you would see tons of people begging, some needed it and some did not. But every time I saw one, I was reminded of this verse. I would know that whatever happened as long as I stayed with God and followed him my end would not be on a street or street corner begging for scraps form an uncaring world. But however he would lift me up and protect me and guide my steps toward him, according to his will. I thank him for his guidance and protection that he has given me, and thank him for that which is to come.

  28. “It is better to be godly and have little than to be evil and rich.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭37:16‬ ‭NLT‬‬

I don’t want to gain the whole world to only lose my soul. No amount of riches is worth being lost for all of eternity!

  29. 27 Turn your back on evil, work for the good and don’t quit. 28 God loves this kind of thing, never turns away from his friends. Live this way and you’ve got it made, but bad eggs will be tossed out. MSG

  30. “Trust in the LORD and do good. Then you will live safely in the land and prosper.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭37:3‬ ‭NLT‬‬

“Take delight in the LORD, and he will give you your heart’s desires.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭37:4‬ ‭NLT

  31. 9. For with thee is the fountain of life: in thy light shall we see light. 10. O continue thy lovingkindness unto them that know thee; and thy righteousness to the upright in heart. 11. Let not the foot of pride come against me, and let not the hand of the wicked remove me. Jesus you are the light !!!!

  32. 3. Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed. 4. Delight thyself also in the LORD ; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Great is the LORD !!!!

  33. 1 Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity.

Those who follow God live differently than those who have evil in their hearts and if we follow God we will have way greater treasures in heaven and those who are wicked may live for a long time but if you’re following God you will live for forever!

  34. A reminder of the message to COMMIT! ‘Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.’ Not only to be committed to his cause but to trust in him and his TIMING. We don’t need to worry or fret or struggle against the reins trying to speed God up… as silly as asking ‘just give me patience Lord, but hurry!’ So how do we exhibit that trust? ‘Trust in the Lord and do good…’ Just keep going, pursuing his will, sowing his good seed because, ‘The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the Lord upholdeth him with his hand. I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.’

We often quote that final verse but do we recall the context? If God is directing my steps, that implies that I’m walking, I’m going forward, I’m not just sitting around waiting for God to speak. I’m doing my best to do good, but he knows I’m going to stumble and perhaps even fall, so he assures me I won’t be cast aside when I do… just keep going, just keep doing the best you can, and God will take care of you!

He goes even further if we take the time to place ‘The law of his God is in his heart; none of his steps shall slide.’ Not only will he pick us up every time we fall, he assures use we’ll never begin to slide back, to slip away, to lose sight of our God! It’s not just speaking of our latter end, it says ‘none of his steps shall slide.’ That means we can press towards the mark of the high calling of Jesus Christ with the full confidence that every step we take is bringing is closer to him!

  35. Josiah: 16 A little that a righteous man hath is better than the riches of many wicked.
The wicked or the world tries to get as much as possible to exalt themselves but in their rush they miss getting the right thing. The more they miss the more desperate they become on the inside and it leads to a spiral of destruction. However those that take time to get the RIGHT thing are the RIGHTeous. For what little they may seem to get is greater then all the world can offer because it is eternal and if it is eternal it does not have to be a lot at once because you have it forever. Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. God is his word so he leads the righteous. He leads us and shapes us to become the true vessel he wants us to become. Jesus gives a portion of riches accordingly but no matter how few or many I get I pray that I never leave my blessings just to myself but share them to this world like a city set on a hill.

  36. 25 I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.

God will not forsake the righteous even when it seem like everything is going wrong. The unrighteoues be judge by God he not going to let them get by with sins.

  37. 21 The wicked borrow and never repay, but the godly are generous givers.

This sounds like a typical unrighteous person, always wanting to take money from others, but never giving away money. I seems so hard for them to give something away no matter how small the gesture is. But for the godly, we have no problem of doing favors or giving money away to others doing their time of need.

  38. Psalm37:25 ( Amp English Bible). I have been young and now am old, Yet have I not seen the (uncompromisingly) Righteousness forsaken or their seed begging bread. I have praying for my husband to give is life to Jesus. Also been praying for my son( tommy) to give his life to Jesus. For my daughter ( Ashley to come back to Jesus. I know that can make a big difference in your live, If we will repent.

  39. 25 I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.

26 He is ever merciful, and lendeth; and his seed is blessed.

This is the most encouraging scripture, it was quoted to me before, and I will never forget this, its like my go to when I need to encourage myself! Sometimes you have to encourage your self! Whats more encouraging than the word of God!

  40. Psalms 37:3-4 (KJV Strong’s)

    3 Trust in the Lord, and do good;
so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.
    4 Delight thyself also in the Lord;
and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.

I love this verse. God will give you the desires of your heart. The things that you dream about.

I’ve learned that this will only happen if our desire matches his will. But I’ve also learned that he will place his desires in our heart when we spend time with him.

Dwell in his spirit, and his desires will become your desires and they will come to pass.

  41. 11 But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.

Anyone can get angry and start a fight, but it takes a peacemaker to resolve a problem peacefully. There is righteous way of handling anger by putting it in God’s hands to avenge and repay (Ro 12:19). What good would it do to wish bad upon a brother or sister is to speak evil is spawn from a wicked heart that is far from God. James 3:18 says ..”those who are peacemakers will plant seeds of peace and reap a harvest of righteousness.” We have to be careful what we sow because it will grow root and reap harvest. Trusting in God takes faith that he will settle an issue his way in his timing. This reminds me of the beatitudes of Matt 5 :11“Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. 12Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.”

  42. 4 Delight thyself also in the Lord: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.

5 Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.

The Lord will give you the desires of your heart when you delight in Him. But for us to delight in Him our hearts would have to be transformed. No longer longing for the things we once did but now for the things God wills for our life. When we come to Him we are a new creature; old things have passed and all things are made new. New life, new desires. What you once longed for in the world is changed to what you now long for in the Kingdom. Then it becomes a vision and a promise that he shall give you the desires of your heart. The other part that we cannot overlook besides delighting in God is commiting and trusting Him. Commit your way or commit your life and trust the word and his promise. It will come to pass.

  43. 4 Delight thyself also in the Lord: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.

5 Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.

I love it when my children want to come sit in my lap for no reason other than they just want to be with my. They truly desire to spend time with me. In those moments it’s hard to say no to them. This is exactly how Gods nature is when we just delight in him. When we spend time with him for no other reason but we want to be with him. There’s no place I’d rather be!

  44. Wait on the Lord , And keep His way, And He shall exalt you to inherit the land; When the wicked are cut off, you shall see it.
    Psalms 37:34 NKJV

A lot of times for most people it is difficult to wait since we live in a go, go, go society and patience is very scarce. If we can learn to wait and follow what His Word says we will see the land that He has for us. Good things come to those who wait.

  45. 23 The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way.

24 Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the Lord upholdeth him with his hand.

We will all fall in life but we must remember that we will not stay down. The Lord will help us get back to our feet. And when we do get lifted up to our feet, that’s our cue to continue moving forward and continue doing the work of God.

  46. This Psalm continues to show the very stark differences between the Church and those in the world. Reading this chapter brought to mind yet another example that God gave us in the New Testament (Luke 16) of what God’s reward is for the righteous; versus His reward for the evil. Luke 16 speaks of Lazarus the beggar and the rich man. It goes to show how despite their earthly riches, eternally it was their spiritual state that mattered more. As Psalm 37:16 says, “A little that a righteous man hath is better than the riches of many wicked.” I always need to be sure that my every action is resulting in bringing me closer to God; that I am laying my treasure up in Heaven!

  47. 23 The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way.

24 Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the Lord upholdeth him with his hand.

I am so thankful for a God that prepares the path before me. I must understand that this is contingent on me walking in righteousness. As long as I make my heart right and live a over coming life I can find confidence in knowing that God is preparing my way. This does not mean that everything will always be a bed of roses but it does mean that He is in control and as long as He is in control I know I will be ok.

  48. “Open up before GOD, keep nothing back; he’ll do whatever needs to be done: He’ll validate your life in the clear light of day and stamp you with approval at high noon.”
    ‭‭Psalm‬ ‭37:5-6‬ ‭MSG‬‬

Being completely open isn’t easy for some of us. We like to make everything okay, keep everyone happy, and deal with the bad on our own, alone. To some of us being open is state of weakness, and quite honestly one of the hardest things for us to do.

Yet to have a true and REAL relationship with God we must be open with Him! We must give Him all our doubts and fears and allow Him to do what must be done in our lives.

  49. 7 Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.

8 Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil.

9 For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the Lord, they shall inherit the earth.

  50. 13 The Lord shall laugh at him: for he seeth that his day is coming.

For anyone that doubted that God had a sense of humor! He mocks the evil doer and those that are his enemies.

What better than that? The Lord shall laugh at him! Ha. Like literally God lol (ed) the situation. I most cases the one who laughs is because he know he has got the upper hand.

That’s my God, laughs in the face of adversity!

  51. 6 And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday.

7 Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.

God has a plan for each of us allow him to dwell in your heart for he is waiting patiently for you to turn away from sin and seek him.

  52. v 23 The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD, And He delights in his way.

When we trust in the LORD we acknowledge HIM as the way, the truth, and the life.
It’s in Him that we live, move, and have our very existence.
We have the assurance that GOD orders our every step.

  53. 26 He is ever merciful, and lendeth; and his seed is blessed.

27 Depart from evil, and do good; and dwell for evermore.

28 For the Lord loveth judgment, and forsaketh not his saints; they are preserved for ever: but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off.

29 The righteous shall inherit the land, and dwell therein for ever.

  54. “Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭37:5‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Committing yourself to God is much harder than just saying it. It means giving up on your will and doing what God says. It is dying to yourself daily. It is being commited to his will more than your own.

Lord help us to commit more to you!

  55. Rest in the Lord , and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.
    Psalms 37:7 KJV

Their is a difference in waiting patiently in peace and rest. Ps 46:10 says to “Be still, and know that I am God” because he wants to avenge us of our enemies. Fear can only bring us down and God desires to lift us up and all we need to do is place it in his hands.

  56. 1 Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity.
2 For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb.
3 Trust in the Lord, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.

Unfortunately I am not the only one that has to admit that I have looked on those not in church, not doing right, not being good examples to their families, with envy. Although we may not have the best of everything, and we have to work really hard for what we do have, we have a hope that they have not found. Jesus. Our riches are not stored here for corruption to destroy, but they are incorruptible. They are waiting with Jesus in eternity.

Don’t ever loose sight of this, because when you do, the enemy is waiting to drag you straight to Hell….

  57. 3 Trust in the Lord, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.
4 Delight thyself also in the Lord: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.5 Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass. And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday.
We may not always know why things in our lives happen but by trusting in God, we are letting him take control of the situations in our lives and he works them out far better than we could ever do for ourselves. I am so thankful for all that he has ever done, is doing and will do in my life and the lives of my family!
