  1. 2 For the Lord most high is terrible; he is a great King over all the earth.

What a terrible God we serve! I will never forget the message Bro. Luther Sanchez preached about a terrible God. Be a terrible God in our lives today Jesus. We will praise You for who You are – a worthy, mighty and terrible God. Hallelujah!

  2. Psalm 47 MSG “Applause, everyone. Bravo, bravissimo! Shout God-songs at the top of your lungs! God Most High is stunning, astride land and ocean. He crushes hostile people, puts nations at our feet. He set us at the head of the line, prize-winning Jacob, his favorite. Loud cheers as God climbs the mountain, a ram’s horn blast at the summit. Sing songs to God, sing out! Sing to our King, sing praise! He’s Lord over earth, so sing your best songs to God. God is Lord of godless nations—sovereign, he’s King of the mountain. Princes from all over are gathered, people of Abraham’s God. The powers of earth are God’s—he soars over all.” Just coming back from Idaho and being up at the summit of Bogus Basin, brings me to a whole new appreciation and I am in awe of my God, the king of the mountain and He soars over all.

  3. THIS IS HOW WE GO

1 O clap your hands, all ye people; shout unto God with the voice of triumph.

GOD has BLESSED us with another day to love and serve HIM. As we arise to awaken to the opportunities that today presents, we should prepare ourselves to clap our hands to the LORD JESUS and to shout unto or for, not at GOD. We SHOUT unto GOD with the voice of TRIUMPH not defeat.

GOD has given us VICTORY through JESUS

1Corinthians 15:57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

1John 5:4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.

Recognizing our VICTORY and CELEBRATING our GOD are the elements necessary to TRIUMPH.

The apostle Paul summarized our approach to the church in Corinth.

2Corinthians 2:14 Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place.

Do not wait until you arrive at church. Clap your hands unto the LORD right where you are and go ahead and SHOUT unto GOD with your most VICTORIOUS voice.

    iRepent
    iPraise
    iPray
    iWork
    iGIve
    iReap
    iGo

  4. 1. Clap your hands, all of you; raise your voices joyfully and loudly.Give honor for the True God of the universe; Voice

The world claps their hands and raises their voices for their idols of actors, singers, athletes, etc…the True God of the univers deserves so much more honor than these!

  5. Let’s GO have church on this Sunday morning and see God has in mind in the house of the Lord in Jesus name Amen!

  6. Psalms 47:1 & 6
    1) O CLAP your hands, all ye people; shout unto God with the voice of triumph.
    6) Sing praises to God, sing praises: sing praises unto our King, sing praises.

    Clap your hands
    Shout unto God
    Sing Praises to God
This is how we should worship our King JESUS everyday!

So today, “Let’s enter into His gates with Thanksgiving and into His courts with Praise, be Thankful unto Him and Bless His Name.”

  7. 1 O clap your hands, all ye people; shout unto God with the voice of triumph.

Today is the day that the LORD hath made!!! Yes, yes YES ,I WILL REJOICE AND BE GLAD IN IT!!! HALELUJAH!!!

  8. For the Lord most high is terrible; he is a great King over all the earth.
    Psalms 47:2 KJV
I remember when it was preached about how God is a terrible God. How awesome and mighty our God is! What a terrible God we serve!

  9. Sing praises to God, sing praises: sing praises unto our King, sing praises.

7 For God is the King of all the earth: sing ye praises with understanding.

Sing praises to God!!! For He worthy to be praised…ALL ye people praise

  10. Shout with a voice of triumph. Be glad that it’s a new day. Rejoice in your trails and know he is God. Be thankful for what you have. And know that Jesus died for you and me. He is all that we will ever need. He in my all my everything.

  11. This Psalm just feels like Sunday! ‘O clap your hands, all ye people; shout unto God with the voice of triumph. For the Lord most high is terrible; he is a great King over all the earth.’ That word terrible may seem out of place in our praise, but it describes his countenance as seen by those who would oppose him. He’s not weak, He is a might God! That’s why David declares with confidence, ‘He shall subdue the people under us, and the nations under our feet. He shall choose our inheritance for us, the excellency of Jacob whom he loved. Selah.’ Think upon this, the world does not get to choose our inheritance, it is determined by a God who loves us and wants the best for those he loves!

And remember that we’re even following his example because our ‘God is gone up with a shout, the Lord with the sound of a trumpet.’ So ‘Sing praises to God, sing praises: sing praises unto our King, sing praises. For God is the King of all the earth: sing ye praises with understanding.’ Not just in the exuberance of the moment, but with understanding, so let us worship him in spirit and in truth!

We may not be of the physical lineage of his chosen people, but ‘God reigneth over the heathen:’, so I can claim that spiritual inheritance of those who choose to serve him in the beauty of holiness, for ‘God sitteth upon the throne of his holiness. The princes of the people are gathered together, even the people of the God of Abraham: for the shields of the earth belong unto God: he is greatly exalted.’ My opportunity to praise him was a promise given unto Abraham, so I’m going to take hold of that promise and join my voice with the praise of those who recognize that our God is greatly exalted! So ‘Sing praises to God, sing praises: sing praises unto our King, sing praises!’

  12. My Daddy always gave me the best of his abilities. Can you imagine what our Heavenly Father would give us? 4 He shall choose our inheritance for us, the excellency of Jacob whom he loved. Selah.
I put all my trust in Him for He is Good and His Mercy Endureth forever!!!

  13. (1) Come, everyone! Clap you hands! Shout to God with joyful praise!
    (2) For the Lord most High is awesome. He is the great king of the earth.
    PSALMS 47: 1,2 NLT

David understood the principle of praising God. Even in the worst times of his life he found a new song to encourage him in the Lord. Let’s not allow the enemy to take our praise. He had his chance and he messed it up. So let’s go to the house of the Lord tody and praise the almighty God.

  14. 1 O clap your hands, all ye people; shout unto God with the voice of triumph.

2 For the Lord most high is terrible; he is a great King over all the earth.

  15. 7 For God is the King of all the earth: sing ye praises with understanding.

Many times we sing without even thinking about the songs we sing. We may have them memorized and just open our mouth and let the words come out. Habitual praise. But God is wanting us to know the depth of a relationship with Him. When we sing arewesinging with meaning, singing with horizontal praise or just a vertical praise. Understanding what we are singing will bring a depth of worship that will escort the presence of God not only up to the Heavens in praise to Him but bringing a true meaning to those around us. I want to sing with understanding lifting up praise with my heart and not just my mouth.

  16. David went thru trials back and forth from happiness to sorrow but it brought a depth to his worship ,his praises to God. He understood the words he was writing he had lived them.

  17. 1 O clap your hands, all ye people; shout unto God with the voice of triumph.

2 For the Lord most high is terrible; he is a great King over all the earth.

Praise the most high for he is worthy to be praise he is king of king lord of lord he is JESUS.

  18. 6 Sing praises to God, sing praises: sing praises unto our King, sing praises.

What a great responsibility we have- to praise and worship God. We have the opportunity to sing His praises everywhere we go. Our worship should not be limited to the church building but we are to live a life of worship. With a song on our hearts and a praise on our lips let us glorify God!

  19. 1 O clap your hands, all ye people; shout unto God with the voice of triumph.
I will lift my hands up to the Lord and shout with a voice of praise.
We serve a Mighty God and i will praise him for whatever he places infront of me. Whatever he lays in my path of its trials and tribulations then so be it because i know my God has a reason and that reason will soon be revealed
I will praise the Lord with excitement. I cannot wait to see what he has in store for me and the people around me.
    God bless you all!

  20. iLove to Go Blog
Psalms 47:5-9 NLT God has ascended with a mighty shout. The LORD has ascended with trumpets blaring. (6) Sing praises to God, sing praises; sing praises to our King, sing praises! (7) For God is the King over all the earth. Praise Him with a psalm. (8) God reigns above the nations, sitting on His holy throne. (9) The rulers of the world have gathered together with the people of the God of Abraham. For all the kings of the earth belong to God. He is highly honored everywhere.

Once again, we find this is an anointed prophetic word describing the coming of Messiah. Notice verse 8 declares that God reigns above the nations and sits upon a (one) throne. Wow, there are not 3 thrones but only one throne. Verse 7 declares that God is King over all the earth. This is King Jesus.

  21. Josiah: PRAISE THE LORD! “The Lord most high is terrible… a great King over all the earth… He shall subdue people under us, and the nations under our feet… Sing praises to God… sing praises unto our King”
However in the next verse it says to”sing ye praises with understanding”. God does not want us to just praise let alone just believe. For the devil’s believe also and tremble and we or I do not want to be like a devil. For my praise makes me different. My attitude makes me different. My pray makes me different. My fasting makes me different. My faith, my heart, my thirst and righteousness and many more allllllllll make me different. Yet without understanding how can I truly do these things. The Lord wants us to know his word. Romans 10:12 says “For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge.” This is a report I wish to not have. A reason that makes me understand why God wants us to praise with understanding. For without understanding how can I truly praise God in the right fashion,or without knowing the rules of a game how can you correctly play a game? This is why I pray to God to lead me in the right path, to show me understanding and humble my heart to correction. This is why I praise the Lord. For he has led me in the right path. He has showed me some understanding. He has provided me with parents that will and have corrected and He will continue to do so. And this can let me praise with understanding. PRAISE THE LORD WITH UNDERSTANDING! Let everything that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord.

  22. Hannah: “1 O clap your hands, all ye people; shout unto God with the voice of triumph.” It says SHOUT UNTO GOD WITH THE VOICE OF TRIUMPH! That doesn’t mean whisper his name once in a while. It means to raise your voice and shout to his name. My desire is that I shout to him and will never be satisfied with just whispering his name. The Bible says to proclaim his name all over the earth. That means to go out of your way and to minister to everyone that you can, because each and every person needs the truth of God and needs to be saved. It is my prayer that I never be a hindrance to someone which makes them not to see God. I want God to use me to bring people into the kingdom of God. Gods’ will is that each and every person will be saved. In verse eight it says how God reigneth over all people.” 8 God reigneth over the heathen: God sitteth upon the throne of his holiness.” This means that it doesn’t mean how famous someone is, because God rules over each and every person since he is the one true living God. His throne is of his holiness since he is pure and perfect. There is not one speck of imperfection in him because he is perfect. That is why we can place our whole trust in him and why we shout unto the Lord. He cannot sin and my desire is that his praise will always be in my heart and that I will shout unto the Lord with all my praise. So go shout the Lord’s name and sing praises unto our mighty God!

  23. 1 O clap your hands, all ye people; shout unto God with the voice of triumph.

Through God we triumph: “Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.”
Galatians 5:1 Our job is to keep the victory so we must keep digging our wells so the Holy Ghost flows!

  24. Psalms 47:9 (KJV Strong’s)

9 The princes of the people are gathered together,
even the people of the God of Abraham: for the shields of the earth belong unto God: he is greatly exalted.

Defense only works if God is in it. All the shields of the earth belong to God. He is the shield buckler and protector. When life throws its attacks, when the enemy tries to go on the offense we trust in God. He is our defense and will never run out of ways to shield us.

  25. 4 He shall choose our inheritance for us, the excellency of Jacob whom he loved. Selah.

Have you ever wondered what type of inheritance you are leaving? I’m not talking about monetarily. One of the definitions of inheritance is as follows:

“The process of genetic transmission of traits from parents to offspring. A characteristic so inherited. The sum of characteristics genetically transmitted from parents to offspring.”

What Godly characteristics are you instilling in children now, either by them watching your example, or by you teaching them, instruction them and then leading them in that way so that they have those characteristics instilled in them?

I heard an “old timer” once say – “We are who we are and what we are by what we put into our minds, we can change who we are and what we are by changing what goes into our minds.”

What are we putting into the minds of our children that will outlive us?

  26. 1 Clap your hands, all you nations; shout to God with cries of joy.
2 For the Lord Most High is awesome, the great King over all the earth.

What a awesome God we serve! He rules and reigns over everything from the Heavens to here on earth his will is always done. With all that I am and all that I have I will give praise to you God! Let me not just cry out in My time of need but cry out to you with joy and gladness! When I see everything you’ve done and made in this world and know there is more to come let me give my highest praise to you God! I’m so thankful that I can serve such a awesome, mighty, and wonderful God!

  27. 6 Sing praises to God, sing praises: sing praises unto our King, sing praises.

7 For God is the King of all the earth: sing ye praises with understanding.

Sing praises to God! Sing sing sing! Sing with understanding, know what you are singing about. I can sing praises about God being a healer because he has healed me! I can sing about him being a deliverer because he delivered me. I can sing about him being a savior because he saved me! Praises don’t have to be profound, they can be simple. Sing from your heart praises to God!

  28. He shall subdue the people under us, and the nations under our feet.(Psalms 47:3 KJV)

God is our conquer he fights every battle for us he sees every enemy and goes before us he changes hopless situations into victorious ones putting enemy nations under our feet.

  29. 5 God is gone up with a shout, the Lord with the sound of a trumpet.

6 Sing praises to God, sing praises: sing praises unto our King, sing praises.

7 For God is the King of all the earth: sing ye praises with understanding.

We don’t just praise God just because we praise him because he understands that he has created everything he created us to worship Him. It’s because of him we live and have our being.

  30. I Love To Praise The Lord
I Love Ch 47 It’s about praising our King
    Vs 1
Come everyone and clap for joy shout triumphant praises to The Lord!!
    Celebrating Gods Universal Rule
All people are called to praise God He is acclaimed as he takes the scepter and His throne

  31. 6 Sing praises to God, sing praises: sing praises unto our King, sing praises.

7 For God is the King of all the earth: sing ye praises with understanding.

With great praise comes great victory!

  32. 4 He shall choose our inheritance for us, the excellency of Jacob whom he loved. Selah.

I have known people who one might consider to be a decent normal person on the Earth. They were not wealthy but all their needs were met. They did not have the latest gadget, car or fanciest home; again their needs were met. Then, a distant relative passed away and left a very large inheritance. They were rich over night.

It did not work out to well for them. They no longer relied on God to meet their needs. Their bank account was full; what did faith have to do with it?

It was not long and they had the latest gadgets, cars and fancy homes. Again; it did not work out to well for them. I am glad that God has chosen my inheritance. I might be willing to take chance for an immediate satisfaction at the expense of the future. I am not just talking about money. I am referring to anything that could separate me from the purpose that God has chosen for me.

  33. Psalms 47 7-9 Sing praises to God sing praise sing praises unto our King sing praises. For God is the King of all the earth sing ye praises with understanding. God reigeth over the heathen God sitteth upon the throne of his holiness. The princes of the people are gathered together even the people of Abraham for the shields of the earth belong unto God he is greatly exalted.

  34. 9 The princes of the people are gathered together, even the people of the God of Abraham: for the shields of the earth belong unto God: he is greatly exalted.

We must Exalt his name on high! Even when we are sad, Even when things are so bad in our lives we just dont think we can make it! I love how sister Sonya said ” I will not be entertained, i will not just stand there, I will dance before the Lord” Praise and worship is not about the praise singers, the words on the screen, its about entering in the throne room and worshiping and praising the God of our salvation with out reservation! its about letting our Guard down and just giving him all and more that we gave when we were yet sinners, I should be one to talk, I sing, clap, dance in front of my seat, but is it good enough, have my praise reached his nostrils, is it a strange fire? What are my motives when I praise? Is for the attention of God or man! Am I waiting to get to the house of the Lord to praise, or did I start before I left the house, continued in the car, carried on in the prayer room, and brought it to his feet in the sanctuary? Or is it even that complicated, Can praise just be that? Can I just do it?

  35. 8. God reigneth over the heathen: God sitteth upon the throne of his holiness.
    9. The princes of the people are gathered together, even the people of the God of Abraham: for the shields of the earth belong unto God: he is greatly exalted.
    Psalms 47:8‭-‬9 KJV

God is awesome; it doesn’t matter what I’m going through He is there always to pick me up. These past few days have been rough, but as I read this tonight: it reminded me that the the shields have been sent forth to protect God’s children and I am one of those children. Not to mention the warrior angles to protect me. It’s about time for me to get out of my comfort zone and start really giving the glory to God. Praise Him even when I feel beat up, chewed up and wrapped up in myself. More importantly though is to never let these things happen. Like Pastor said this morning; spring up, O well.

  36.  O clap your hands, all ye people; shout unto God with the voice of triumph.

Nothing can replace our praise in the mind of God… our praises are were he lives, they are what pleases him, they come up as a sweet smelling savor to him and moves him to act. The bible says the angels cry “holy” all day and night to God but God would still rather hear us praise and worship Him. That’s how much our shouts, hand claps and praises mean to God!

  37. 1 Clap your hands, all you nations;
shout to God with cries of joy.

This verse made me remember of a time I went to a basketball game and was shouting with excitement because the team I was going for won. I didn’t care who was next to me, who was watching, what people were thinking, I was shouting and jumping and clapping because “my team” had won. This is exactly how I need to worship my God because He won the victory for me! He set me free, delivered me, saved my children, my family, my marriage, and much more. I can’t expect for others to worship for me!! No one knows how I know what the Lord has done!!! We need to praise Him like no one is watching! Who cares what people say, we are doing it for Him or what HE HAS DONE!!!

  38. God is worthy to be praised. When we praise the Lord, we push back the enemy. The weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God.

  39. 7 For God is the King of all the earth: sing ye praises with understanding.

This is where most of us fail, singing praises with understanding. We say we know that He is king of the whole earth, but if we really believed that we would worship so much more, because that would mean that He is over football, so there wouldn’t be anyone staying home to watch the game on Sunday. That would mean that He is over banks, meaning that we wouldn’t steal from Him.

Just a little good for thought…

  40. David repeatedly encourages the people to praise God and gives them examples of reasons why. The truth is we should praise God without needing reason and at all times; when their is persecution, poverty, infirmity, wealth, heath and victory. Doesn’t matter when but praise should never stop just because it does feel good, you’ll get sweaty, mess up your hair and don’t look pretty. Praise is supposed to be pleasing unto God not to please others.

  41. 7 For God is the King of all the earth: sing ye praises with understanding.

Knowing him is greatly important in truly praising him. How can you really praise someone who you don’t know? We have to know him in his excellency to praise him for being excellent, we have to know him in his righteousness to praise him for being righteous… the point is our praise becomes relevant when we know him. We start out praising him for what he’s done for us like salvation and pulling us out of the pit but when we’ve been with him and start to really know him we praise him differently, we don’t forget the first love but we gain relationship and praise him for keeping us and maintaining us but then as our relationship grows stronger we praise him for who he is and god atributes as we learn them this would be praying him in understanding. This praise is ever growing as we learn more about him. If your praise stays the same you are not growing.

  42. “He subdues the nations before us, putting our enemies beneath our feet.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭47:3‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Just as Pastor mentioned tonight, the devil can not be under our feet until we pick our feet up! With obedience we are overcomes! Arise, Pick Up your Feet and STOMP on the devil!

  43. Verses 6-7 say, “Sing praises to God, sing praises: sing praises unto our King, sing praises. For God is the King of all the earth: sing ye praises with understanding.” Reading this, the very last phrase really stuck out to me: “with understanding”. We can praise GOD all the time for the many blessing that He bestows upon His church; yet when we praise Him we have to understand that “God is King of all the earth”. A king is someone that a nation in old times would follow to war, to peace; someone people would live their entire lives serving. God is King over everything in this world. Not only that but He has all power in His hands and can affect all that could possibly ever happen in this world. He is omnipotent! When I praise Him for what He has done, is doing and will do, I need to understand that He already has the power to change my situation, because He is already King over everything in my situation! Praise the Lord!

  44. 1 O clap your hands, all ye people; shout unto God with the voice of triumph.

A praises will always have a song In their hearts and A praise on their lips. They are looking for an oppprotunity to magnify him.

  45. 1 O clap your hands, all ye people; shout unto God with the voice of triumph.

2 For the Lord most high is terrible; he is a great King over all the earth.

3 He shall subdue the people under us, and the nations under our feet.

This song came to mind; “God is worthy to be praised, God is worthy to be praised. In the morning, in the noon time, even when the sun goes down. He’s worthy worthy to be praised”

What a mighty and (overwhelming to the extreme) terrible God we serve. To Jesus be all glory and honor and praise!

  46. “O clap your hands, all ye people; shout unto God with the voice of triumph. For the Lord most high is terrible; he is a great King over all the earth.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭47:1-2‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The Lord is worthy of our praise just for who He is. We could stop there and still praise Him forever. He is God and Creator of the earth. He is King of all kings. He is the Great Physician. The Wonderful Counselor. The Mighty God. He is the Protector. He is the Deliver. He is Savior. He is God with us. He is the Provider…. My God is the Great I AM!

  47. 4 He shall choose our inheritance for us, the excellency of Jacob whom he loved. Selah.

Thank God! Through out my life I’ve had to make some hard decisions and for those who know me I can be quite indecisive, but thank God there are decisions that he has already made and planned for my life!!!

  48. 4. He shall choose our inheritance for us, the excellency of Jacob whom he loved. Selah
6 Sing praises to God, sing praises: sing praises unto our King, sing praises.
7 For God is the King of all the earth: sing ye praises with understanding.

My heart rejoices knowing that God is in control of every aspect of my life and yet sombered and humbled knowing that God can only be in control if I relinquish that control to him. When I truly understood this; my praise to him had a much deeper meaning to me in my life. He delights in the praises of his people and I want the Lord to be delighted in me and to see my thankfulness for all he has ever done and will ever do for me, my family and all of the children of God. Hence, I must never stop or diminish my worship and praise to the Lord my God!

  49. I got stuck on verse 2 yesterday where it says, For the Lord most high is terrible; he is a great King over all the earth. Specially, where it says the Lord most high is terrible;. That didn’t seem quite right, so after studying then talking to my Dad I found out that David was talking of the strength of the Lord and that in old English it means more that the Lord would be a terrible person to fight or go up against. Not that they are a bad person.

  50. Psalm47:6 (English Amp Bible) Sing praises to God, sing praises! Sing praises to Our King, sing praises! Get praise for everything he does. Clap your hands , Dance before your King Jesus.

  51. 7 For God is the King over all the earth. Praise him with a psalm.

If we know God created all things, why not give him the praise he deserves. For God is worthy, he provides, he heals and saves, so give him praise.

  52. 6. Sing praises to God , sing praises : sing praises unto our King , sing praises . 7. For God is the King of all the earth : sing ye praises with understanding .

  53. 7 For God is the King of all the earth: sing ye praises with understanding

God is exalted above everything. He reigns forever. Praise your way out of situations only he understands it.
